Hello to all! I'm sending this message from the parking lot of a hotel...hehe. I just moved to a new house & I need to apologize for my late swaps. I don't have internet yet, about a week till I can get it hooked up. Someone packed all my swap info & goodies & I have not unearthed them yet.. SO please bear with me..I will not flake, I hope to have caught up on my swaps by this weekend. Thanks for understanding...hugs to all.

I like all things natural & real...ocean, rocks, flora, fauna, wind, sun, rain, snow, tides, stars, the man on the moon, storms, winter...... & all the outdoor activities that go with them, snowshoeing, hiking, snorkeling, backpacking, wild crafting........

FABRICS/FIBERS....Naturals-wool, linen, cotton, silk....

TOP FAV COLORS turquoise, sea green, aqua, lime, ocean blue, coral pink, brown, black

I LOVE black licorice, anything lime...color or flavored, dark chocolate, Thai food- any cuisine that is super spicy TEAS....all sorts Tazo Zen, Irish breakfast, Lotus... VINTAGE....well used, forlorn, grungy, forgotten, faded, found items.....well you get the idea

METALS....I love metal-copper, brass, silver, iron, Luv it all!...watch parts, gears, tags, fittings, pipes, wire, etc. etc.

I'm not a warm fuzzy cutesy puppy-bunny-kitty kinda gal...not into Disney

I adore Palmer Cox's BrOwNieS, Ikea, ravens, long views, paperclips, numbers, gauges/dials, brown nail polish, my logger boots, Pendleton wools, gears, Fish, Octopus, Jellyfish & Seahorses, polka dots & stripes

PAPER I enjoy good, quality paper such as Bo Bunny, Basic Gray & such

I LOVE to blow bubbles! They are SO happy... how can you blow bubbles & not smile?! I carry a mini bottle of bubble solution in my handbag

STAMPS- postage stamps!! I rip off all the wonderful stamps on the packages that I receive from the lovely people I swap with & recycle them into art, I get really happy when they are from different lands.

Favorite Crafts

I LOVE TO ART!! I enjoy a wide variety

*ATCs....I've started to make my own backgrounds it's such creative FuN!

*Assemblage...bits & odd baubles-all sorts

*Jewelry...trying to gather all the tools I need for cold connections (those teeny tiny screws are adorable!), any tips/supplies appreciated! I also solder which I enjoy Trying out some steampunk which I totally LOVE!

New to journaling....which I'm LOVING...I get to doodle & play with my fav gel pens....I enjoy art in the style of Teesha Moore & Traci Bautista (among others) & would LOVE to take a class from them *sigh someday

*I love to sew... branching out on quilts from trad to the artsy.....I've started making WeiRd-O stuffies-hehe! I enjoy sewing on my little featherweight, quilts, aprons, vintage projects, I like taking the old & remaking it into something new & useful. I am starting to gravitate to solid color fabrics & straightforward patterns such as the Amish use, I want to play with color.

*I'm trying to knit...its going so-so

*I garden organically & put up food.

Favorite Music

WoW a tough one. I like an eclectic mix! Irish, I play fiddle, I like the high lonesome Appalachia sound Gillian Welsh, I also like Collective Soul, Scissor Sisters, Opera, Classical, Native American, New Grass Revival, Reggae....not much I don't like...not of big fan of current "country" music, I do like some of the older stuff

Favorite Television

Not a big fan of TV I don't have one & wonder if I did when would I find time to watch it!

Favorite Books

I mostly read raw source material, biographies, history, historical fiction, myths & legends-especially from other lands- I like to study & research whatever I'm currently interested....which changes frequently haha!!

ITEMS I'D LOVE TO RECEIVE

*METAL-Sheets & Wire in copper, brass, zinc, steel, silver, etc any gauge-no size too small *HARDWARE ViNtaGe especially, full size - mini *SCREENING any metal screen or mesh

*SHELLS from the lucky ones who get to live near the ocean....really any thing you'd pickup on the beach

*Old shop clipboard...metal clip

*Milagros any & all especially body parts

*ATC plastic sleeves

*Kawaii as i still have no idea what it is & would love to see it

LOL! I don't like black licorice at all but I like Ouzo which reminds of black licorice. I am like you an easy going person who laughs allot. I am not creative but I like trying to make ATC's and inchies. I love postage stamps but can't imagine using them in art. Maybe you will post some photo's of your art. I would enjoy seeing it. Today was such a wonderful day. I got to have lunch with my husband and a friend of ours at a Fish tavern near the beach. It was a rare event this time of the year. Funny reading your profile..as I sewing on a Featherweight too, and obviously we're using it for the same purpose..making something new out of something old :-)
