About Me

September 9, 2009 Well, life continues to march along with plenty of bumps. The metal bar supporting my son's pectus repair shifted it's position requiring out-patient surgery to remove it. The bones in his chest will remain unstable for the next couple of months. His chest has already sunk a little. Fortunately, our school district has a Home Bound service which means a teacher will come to our home for his classes. So, for the next 8 weeks, I will have my 11 year old home with me. Ahhhhh.....Life!

July 18, 2009 On Thursday July 16, my 11 year old son is home from Childrens Hospital from having heart surgery & pectus repair (for a sunken chest) June 22 and getting over complications of it! YeS! Praise God!!!!

My name is April. I am 46 years old and live in the Midwest about 30 minutes west of St. Louis, MO. I have three kids, 22, 19 and 11 (two girls and a boy in that order!) I'm a homemaker. I have a passion for art, humor, my family and animals.

Other Activities that Consume

We live on three acres. I have one goat, nine chickens, started with three finches, now have six! I have a puppy mill rescue Pomeranian named Starbucks. In the summer, I like to plant flowers and a veggie garden. I have a small beach in my backyard with a fire pit and hammock.

I also don't like my left foot pinkie toe...well it's not really the toe, it's the nail. I've always had a really weird/deformed nail on that toe. I've never gotten a pedicure because of it!
