I am a full-time legal secretary (I love my job!), as well as the mother of four grown sons, and the grandmother of their seven beautiful children. For fun and relaxation, I like to kayak. For sanity and therapy, I do crafts. My main creative outlets are cake decorating and making greeting cards (mostly stamping). I used to sew, but pretty much have set that aside, other than to occasionally make flannel "rag quilts" for babies. I have a wonderful DIL in New Zealand who is a excellent cook and seamstress (and crafter), who motivates me to try new things.

Other than kayaking, I really enjoy going to movies and plays. Favorite movie has to be Schindler's List (although I don't feel the need to ever see it again). I also think that Slumdog Millionaire deserves every award it received! My favorite plays are Les Miz, RENT, and Phantom (of course). The Eagles, Coldplay, and Jimmy Buffet music are among my favorites. If you have a chance to see Jimmy Buffett in concert, definitely DO! SO much fun!

I have a great space for crafting ... lots of room, workspace, privacy, and good lighting. My son painted it for me recently ... beautiful shades of lime and turquoise, with bright white trim. It's wonderful (and so is he)! I love summer (and we do have beautiful summers in West Michigan), and I love to spend as much time as possible in my pool, typically with my 6-yr. old grandson, who also loves summer and water!

I actually enjoy our beautiful winters too (although not as much as summer!) I'm more of a winter spectator, rather than participant.

Let's see ... as far as color, I love bright ones ... green (lime, sage), yellow and orange, but I also like white and various shades of brown. I'm rather conservative by nature; not into dark or goth. My jewelry is pretty conservative. I like plants, flowers, water (rivers, lakes, etc.), kayaking, babies, children, and nature.

I like chocolate in moderation, I don't drink coffee (I do drink hot chocolate though). I love to cook and bake, and I love and am impressed by home-made crafts.

I don't like cutesy things or stickers. I love paper, ink, and embellishments!
