As far as labels go, I'm Christian,a single parent, divorced, happy, live in Reno Nevada, USA. I adore my four children, grandson, sisters and mother. Family is very important to me. Most of my children are grown; my youngest is 16, the rest are adults. My grandson is 5 and completely adorable, especially when he's naughty. He tells me I'm the best girl in the whole wide world, and I tend to think the same about him. I take care of him while his mom is at work, so we get to spend a lot of time together. I work from home as a computer tech. I work odd hours/long hours [96 a week] and sometimes go a little mad for want of a few minutes to myself. Crafting helps, reading helps too. I lost 47 pounds on Weight Watchers in the begining of the year, it's a great program.
Bible. Night by Elie Wiesel. The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger. A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers. I don't read a lot of fantasy or science fiction, but I have in the past. I love Christian fiction, all types. I like travel writting [why do they call it that?], like Driving over Lemons. I like books. :) Also, I home school my teenager [10th grade] so I read a lot of classics [to make sure he really read them]
Amazing Grace. Bubble Toes by Jack Johnson. old rock. Don't Know Why by Nora Jones. I don't like rap and techno...
Altering Journals. Altering Books. Scrap booking. writing, short stories and poems. blogging. ATC, drawing, painting. Getting my hands dirty.
I love blues and greens, browns and light pink... rich earthy colors; but, I also like hot pink and orange together. I'm not much into cutsy stuff, but sometimes something like that will catch my fancy.
I don't watch too much television, it's mainly on children's shows for my grandson. But I do take over the tv when LOST is on. I like documentries, travel channel shows, history channel shows.
I have some weird allergies! I am allergic to tea and nutmeg... My kids love tea so if you really want to send some send away. I am also allergic to cats and dogs, but a stray cat hair or two won't hurt me so don't worry over it at all. I'm also 'allergic' to lima beans, hominy, blind dates, ferocious tickling, rude drivers and monotonous conversations :)

Hello? xo to you, wherever you are.
Hey there! I got a postcard today that made me think of you. It's a quote from Theodore Roosevelt which says "Believe you can and you are halfway there." I see you haven't logged on in awhile and I hope you're okay. I hope you'll be back soon and this message with make you smile :D
I don't know what's going on with you right now, but am hoping so much that you are safe and well. We are all very worried, Nancy. I know when you come on again to read this we will be hearing from you again, but for right now I really need to just tell you how concerned we all are. Mel has been trying to call you today. Please let us know you are okay. Soon.
Nancy, it's me again. I hope you don't get tired of me but I just had to thank you for the lovey, cute, and oh so happy singing card you sent to me right out of the blue. I was feeling very down and upset that day and when I opened that card, I just couldn't believe it. I was so overcome with joy that you went out of your way and searched for just the right card.l My aunt said, "Now that's the kind of friends that you need". She is so right. You are such a beautiful person.
Your true friendship to me continues to fascinate me. I am truly honored to have a friend like you. I remember when you used to say that I reminded you of you. Now that I know your health history, it is even more true. I really cherish you, Nancy.
