My name is Jennifer. I live in a small town in Northwest Georgia with my husband of 15 years and our 3 cats, Buckaroo, Bonsai and Burroughs. I currently am a barista at Starbucks (yay! soy lattes galore!) until I figure out what to do with my life:)

While I've been around craftiness all my life (my mum is super crafty!) I'm just getting into it myself. I got a new sewing machine for Christmas and I am totally hooked!! I've made some bags and simple dolls but next I want to try my hand at altering t-shirts and making clothes. I also like making paper things (notecards, postcards, bookmarks, etc) and decorating matchboxes, especially shrines! I like altering stuff and getting creative with a scanner and laminator. I enjoy crocheting (granny squares, at least) and knitting on the knifty knitter (can't knit otherwise)

I have pretty eclectic tastes and am always open to discovering new music. I mostly listen to alot of weird noisy stuff with my husband but I love 70s glam bands like Slade, Bowie, T. Rex and New York Dolls. Other faves include Supergrass, Abba, Doors, KISS (early stuff), k.d.lang, Roxy Music, Tom Waits, Captain Beefheart, & lots others. I also like metal (doom/stoner and black metal...not hair bands). Faves are High on Fire, Mastodon, Mercyful Fate.

I only watch tv shows on DVD . We used to have satellite but got tired of paying $$ for 150 channels of crap and commercials! My fave shows are CSI (Las Vegas only...not New York or Miami), Weeds, Numb3rs, Heroes, Dexter, Dark Angel, Star Trek (Next Gen and Enterprise). Also, I love Netflix on demand!

I love to read but unfortunately don't sit and do it much. I especially like science fiction, nonfiction, poetry. My fave writers are Jack Kerouac, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Richard Brautigan and Robert Heinlein. I've enjoyed reading the Harry Potter books several times and I also like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. I like to read encyclopedias and dictionaries too.

I like all kinds of movies. Some of my faves are LOTR, Pirates of the Caribbean, Reign of Fire, 28 Days Later, Mystery Men, Chocolat, Still Breathing, Logans Run, X Men, Battle Beyond the Stars, CryBaby, A Dirty Shame, Riddick, Velvet Goldmine, Grosse Pointe Blank, High Fidelity. My #1 movie obsession: Roller Boogie!

• I am not offended by nudity or profanity (in fact, I think both are great) so please don't feel the need to censor yourself.
• I think swapbot should be fun! I'm really easy to please and I love getting mail, so don't worry!
• I have cats that sometimes supervise my crafting. I REALLY try to avoid getting hair in packages, tape, etc. but I can't promise 1 or 2 won't slip by -- sorry, hope thats not a problem for you :)
• I recycle shipping material. My husband gets more mail than I do so I have more padded envies and bubble wrap than I can possibly ever use.
