Hi, everyone! I work in a public library in public relations/marketing. I love all kinds of paper crafts as well as painting, sketching and sewing. I am an avid reader, enjoy walking for my health, hiking and lots of other activities. I am a mother of three grown sons and have two beautiful granddaughters.
I prefer to receive naked postcards as I enjoy postage stamps and this is a good way to receive new ones. Postcards of natural scenes, art prints, national and state parks, etc. are great!. But will be happy to receive any new PCs to add to my collection.
I'm excited to meet new people and make new friends as well as share some fun things!
If you haven't received a swap from me in a reasonable amount of time, please let me know and I will re-send as soon as possible.
I am an ID (Investigation Discovery) TV fan. Some of my fave shows are Homicide Hunter (Joe Kenda is hilarous!), Deadly Women, On the Case with Paula Zahn, Swamp Murders...just about all of them, lol. My most recent favorite is The Coroner: I Speak for the Dead.
Mysteries at the Museum
The Good Doctor
I also am a huge fan of British mystery series and watch them on Netflix.
I am a classic mystery book lover...who doesn't enjoy Agatha Christie's books and characters?! I am also a fan of fantasy/sci-fi and a number of other genres. I constantly have books to read on my iPad or to listen to on my phone when I walk. Still love holding the paper copy in my hands, too.
I love paper crafts and have for years! Getting new school supplies ot visiting stationery supplies were a highlight of my school years. I am constantly taking pics and saving/collecting ephemera to use in journals and smash books. I use a variety of media in my journals - watercolor, acrylic, scrapbook paper, washi tape, etc.
My newest obsession is creating junk journals and using them for my journaling and memory keeping. I am also a huge fan of traveler's notebooks and will often create junk journal-style inserts to use. I am using discarded Readers Digest covers for my monthly junk/smach journal covers.
I also collect silk ties from Goodwill and other thrift shops to add to my in-progress crazy quilt. I also collect mini prints of calico cloth to use to create yo-yos for my yo-yo quilt. I prefer floral patterns, gingham and small geometric prints for my piecework.
I enjoy sending and receiving ATCs and pocket letters. In additon, steampunk items are welcome in swaps.
Color Preferences - almost all colors can be used in my journals. I do prefer muted and classic colors over 80s brights, fluorescent or metallic colors, though.
Washi - any styles are welcome. It's amazing that even with the many rolls of washi that I have, there are a ton more that are completely new to me.
