I love Crafting. I like all types of crafting. My recent passions are tatting, polymer clay, ATCs, and digital crafts (things I make and print out).
I love the color Teal. I also like Blue and Green. I collect glass beads...and will one day use some of them.
I am a Cat person =^.^=! Our family has a cat named Kismet, and a dog named Boba Fett. My daughter has a kitten named Maximus - so I have a grandkitten?
I have two kids. I have a 15yr old son and a 10yr old daughter. I have an awesome husband, who I'm still crazy about eighteen years after we met!
I play Star Wars: The Old Republic with my husband. I play an Imperial Agent and he plays a Bounty Hunter. We also have some Jedi that we play with friends (that we met in World of Warcraft a few years ago).
ABOUT MY DAUGHTER - she will be participating in Kid's swaps. Julie loves pink and red. She likes drawing and making origami animals. She loves origami books/directions and paper. She likes cats, dragons, dogs, and Nintendo. She loves Super Mario Bros and has a Wii and DS. She is ten and likes to craft with whatever supplies I happen to have spread out at the time.
I have very eclectic taste in music. My favorite songs, in no particular order, are: Symphony of Destruction by Megadeth, You Don't Love Me Anymore by Weird Al Yankovic, Inside Out by Eve 6, House of the Rising Sun by the Animals, and several Mozart symphonies.
I've read every single Agatha Christie book I could find published. I'm sure I've missed a few, but I just love Hercule Poirot and Jane Marple. I don't like some of the other characters she's written about (like Harley Quin) but the plots are worth dealing with the characters.
I also read "The Cat Who..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun. I believe her to be a true cat person. She seems to understand exactly what it's like to be owned by a cat.
I like reading OLD Science Fiction. I love finding old dusty books that talk about how the world will change in the far distant future (1990, 2000, etc.). It's cool to find people that were close as well as to laugh at stuff that is way out there!
Raising Arizona - with Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter. BEST MOVIE EVA! It's the only movie I own...I'm more of a renter type of person :)
The Simpsons - makes me laugh every time;
Doctor Who - Tom Baker and the newly revived series;
The Office - I hate Micheal, but everyone else is hilarious!
I've been watching a lot of Netflix series: the Medium, Dead Like Me, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Burn Notice, Amazing Stories, The IT Crowd (hilarious British comedy about computer techs), like old horror movies, and crazy comedies.
I realized that it might help a partner in a swap if they knew what kind of crafts I like and dislike.
Crafts I Like (alphabetically): Beading, Collages, Crocheting, Making Miniatures (dollhouse scale), Mixed Media Projects, Origami, Polymer Clay, Pysanky Eggs, Recycling/Repurposing Crafts, Tatting, Temari (haven't started yet, but am gathering supplies and books)
Crafts I Can't Do: Knitting (drop too many stitches), Stenciling (never mastered it)
Craft Items I Collect: Cat Fabric (1/4yd to 1yd pieces) - these will eventually be part of a huge cat quilt. Itty Bitty Stickers - the smaller the better
I am allergic to anything that contains an evergreen oil (like oil from a fir tree). I don't mind passing along things that contain it to friends or family - but please make sure it is clearly marked. I break out with a painful rash if I accidentally use it.
I Recycle and Repurpose a lot. So the packaging for swaps I send will most likely be reused or creatively made from recycled materials. This is more about being good to Mother Earth than saving money...even though they frequently go hand in hand :)
My handwriting is awful! I'm very sorry for this. This comes from working in computer environments for 15+ years. I rarely write more than a hall pass by hand...and I'll type that if I have the time :)
SWAP ETIQUETTE - I try to rate all received swaps within a few days of getting them. I am a very responsible swapper - I don't flake, so if you have not received a swap from me, please let me know. I promise that I do not mark anything sent until I've physically put it into the mail at my local post office.

WOW! My mystery tag parcel arrived today by semi trailer it was soooo huge. I can't believe how amazing, thoughtful and generous you are. I know you read my profile because everything in it was something I loved or in my favourite colors. The little bags are just gorgeous and the tatting I love as I can't do it and all the other stuff is just great. I can't thank you enough and I hope I get to send to you one swap. Best Wishes littlepinkflamingo4

So, quite some time ago you sent me two zentangled bookmarks (one had the wrong initials or something, so you made a second). Just wanted to let you know that I'm still using them, and every time I look at them I "ooh" and "aaah" over the intricate designs you did. Thanks again for such lovely work!
Thanks for your long message regarding my Happiness Project! (My Jan. wish in the American Swappers group.) You shared some good nuggets of information, and I need to find a copy of Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. This is just the kind of thing I was seeking.
