Hello all! My name is SerenaAzureth and I am a Bead Sprite Artist.

What is a Bead Sprite?

Bead Sprite: Originally a small bitmap image, as used in portable videogames or created digitally by pixel artists, taken and made into tangible items using fuseable beads.

I remember being in girl scouts as a kid and playing with these beads where you would put random colors on a pegboard, make something like your initials or a bird, put a piece of parchment paper over them, and then melt it all together with a iron. Now as an adult those beads have come back to me again. Yah, I could still spell out my name, but why stop there when I can make any pixeled creation my heart can think of!

Video games are usually the best choice when it comes to Bead Spriting, as all digital games are made from pixels; some with a lot more, some with less. ;) But one doesn't have to stop there! You can see from my Galleries that even photos can become great pixel creations in bead form. The sky's the limit!

edit: (12/22/10)LOL! I just can't get away from drawing! Originally I was planning on just making Bead Sprite ATCs for most ATC swaps since they are fun and unique (also my hobby), but enough of you have encouraged me to bring my sketching skills (and what I call my actual "day gig") to the table as well. Hand-drawn and Bead Sprite ATCs all around!!

Even though bead spriting is my hobby, I am lucky enough to say that my day job is as an Animator so cartoons are and will always be a huge part of my life. I have a huge soft spot for old school 80's and 90's cartoons such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Swat Kats, ThunderCats, My Little Ponies, CareBears, and especially Sonic The Hedgehog, but seriously folks there are too many favorites to name! Recently I've been decorating my office in Jim Henson's Labyrinth themed art trades I've received from Deviant Art. ^.^ It's a pretty cool office!!

I've also really been into the anime "One Piece" lately,...lol, I can't help it! I really like pirates!! XD

-I would LOOOVVVEEE to take any spare Perler Beads or any other brand of fuseable bead off your hands (since the majority of my crafts are made from them and it is something I constantly use.^.^)

-LOVE Panda items

-LOVE the anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt!! So funny!! XD

-Love Alice in Wonderland items

-I love Banana Flavored and Banana Scented things. :D

-I love Zombies, yes I do. I love Zombies, how 'bout you? (;p)

-I love Kawaii Items

-love stickers (especially puffy stickers)

-looking for more scrap booking items (especially anything with an Asian theme since I need to finish off my scrap book from my trip to Japan and China)

-Dragonfly items

-Anime inspired items (Honestly you can't go wrong with Anime with me, but my favorites are Fate/Stay Night, Galaxy Express 999, Cowboy Bebop, Paradise Kiss, Utena, Vampire Hunter D, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Chobits, Shuffle, Trigun.....you see the list really could go on forever...LOL)

-Halloween inspired items

-Old My Little Ponies and their items (I love to fix them up ^.^)

-Keychain parts (I make a lot of bead keychains)

-Very unique and cute stationary

-Unique and strange tissue paper and wrapping paper (I once received tissue paper of kolas flying in UFOs, and wrapping paper of shrunken heads with santa hats on them, AWESOME!!)

-Pirate items (just no more fake gold coins, I have a ton of those....unless they are chocolate. ^.^)

-Skittles, Starburst, or any Gummy Candy (yummy)

-I LOOOVVVEE Gelly Roll Pens (especially the metallic ink and wacky changing ink ones. ^.^)

-Prisma Colored Pencils, I use the crap out of every color! :D
