I've totally screwed up by taking on more than I could handle during the summer and fall months. Something had to give. Unfortunately, it was my swapping. I am going to work diligently to get all of my swaps done and out. I expect this to take me a couple of weeks to get them all out. Today is Oct. 18th. The countdown is on! I've looked over my swaps and it looks like I'm only donw one swap - the 12 months of Christmas blocks #9. It's done - I just hadn't mailed it. I see I have another swap to do, but that's not due yet. The ornaments are done for the swap. Will get them ready to mail out ASAP so I'm not late for that. I know of one swap that went bad ages ago. I will get the replacement we'd discussed out. I don't know why she hasn't rated me bad on that, but I sure appreciate that she hasn't! In looking over everything else, I'm not finding anything else amiss, so things aren't as bad as I thought. WHEW! IF IF IF you've not received something from me, but have not rated me, PLEASE contact me so I can make good on the swap. I usually keep good records, but could've missed something. After all this I'll be back on track, being a lot more careful of how many swap I sign up for at one time!

I'm a take-charge kind of person. When given a task to do I do it well. I love simple things such as my large family and my perennial garden. I strongly dislike change, but I've learned that life is full of changes and that you have to change right along with it. If I have a worry I need to work out I clean. Weird, but that's me! Not sure what else to say. I'm easy to please, being happy with any gift I receive! My tastes are simple and basic.

Additional information now that I've been swapping for a while: PLEASE know that I will rate promptly - most likely the same day I get your swap! I don't think I've missed anyone yet, but if I have message me and I'll take care of it. Also, PLEASE RATE ME!! I know we're not required to rate, but it sure would be nice to, at the very least, know if someone's received my swap. It's bad enough not to get a rating, but I feel even worse when I'm in limbo wondering if the swap was recieved or not!

I like all kinds of music other than rap. Never could get used to it as it's the same beat over and over and over and.........you get it! I especially like old-time country songs and disco!

I like mysteries, especially medical ones. I like romance novels, but not ones filled with sexual stuff. I like books that are a series as long as I can easily get hold of all the books in that series as once I start reading them I can't put them down and hate it when the next book isn't available right away!

Okay, so I'm weird. I like to watch The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, a host of home decorating shows, House, So You Think You Can Dance, The Biggest Loser, Stargate Altantis, America's Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, Law & Order Regular and SVU and ER. I also like older movies and musicals!

I love to quilt, sew, do ceramics, knit, crochet, do counted cross stitch, garden (I have a large perennial garden), home improvement such as painting, stripping, staining and more. I love to do puzzles, especially Thomas Kincaid puzzles. I enjoy crossword puzzles, too!

I am a born-again Christian and a member of a Baptist church. I am not a "preachy" person, but have no problems sharing my faith when asked. I'm active in teaching Sunday school and I'm also an AWANA Cubbies leader.

I have a large family - 8 children (ages 6 to 35), 5 children-in-laws, and 9 grandchildren (ages 6 weeks to 17 years)! My family is my life. The only children at home are our 6-year-old identical twin girls. We are homeschooling them, using Sonlight for our curriculum. We also have 1 cat and 2 birds!!

My full-time job is being a stay-at-home wife and mother, but I'm out there working part-time every few years to make a little extra so I can help catch up on bills and buy up a few "extras" until the next time I decide I want to work. Taking care of the family, home and yard is enough work for me! I try to keep the house in order and work on the crafts and hobbies I enjoy doing, too!

I'm not a picky person and I'm easy to please. I'm new to this, so at this point I'd be happy to get whatever the swap says to send. Of course, I wouldn't mind the occasional "extra" if someone were inclined to send it! I have no known allergies to anything. Anything I get that meets the swap's requirements and I cannot use I can give to my children or grandchildren. I joined to have fun for me, but what I cannot use I would share with my family!!

I would not want anything that one of my children or grandchildren couldn't see or have, so what I'd want to get should be of good taste and character. Although I'd signed up for swaps for myself, there may be things I might be able to share with my children or grandchildren.
