I work full time at a job I love--I am a researcher at Pitney Bowes so I do have an interest in the mail and how people use it. Have a husband and a son born in 2004, and one dog. Not much free time, but love the outdoors, reading and crossword puzzles.

Don't want to do too much saying send me this or don't send me that--though I do remember several years ago when I was staying at an all meals included B&B and said I liked everything and ended up eating brussel sprouts for a week! And for the record, I do like brussel sprouts, but perhaps not quite enough for every day. I wouldn't say there are colors I don't like, but I do like green, blue, purple, brown. And I lean toward deeper shades rather than pastels. And I have a fondness for quirky or unusual things. I like things that people made themselves, or that they selected because they thought it was interesting or special.

I really do want to make folks happy with my swaps, so if something doesn't arrive in time, or you feel the contents were not what you expected, please let me know and I will try to make it right.

I like a lot of different music--classical, 80's rock...fan of Peter Gabriel, REM, Dave Matthews band, The Police, David Gray...but these days spend most of my time listening to the music my 3 year old likes!

Usually it is whatever I am currently reading. Fiction and non-fiction, and some good science fiction when I really need to escape. I have read (and own) most of Jonathan Carroll's books, and Italo Calvino is also a favorite.

I don't get to many movies these days, though Netflix is my friend. I like a range of stuff from Indie to Sci Fi. Some all time favs include Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, Across the Universe, O Brother Where Art Thou, Indiana Jones, Star Wars.

I love Pushing Daisies. Also a regular watcher of Heroes, Lost, Stargate. Mystery on PBS. Only reality show I watch is Amazing Race. My husband got me the Northern Exposure DVD set for a holiday pressie and I am having fun watching those and remembering why I loved it so much!

Needlecraft--currently needlepoint is my thing but I also knit and very occasionally crochet. I do not sew much and do not have much use for sewing notions.

I like trying new things though with crafts I usually do better if I take a class for something really different since it forces me to focus!
