About Me

FYI my mother had a successful knee replacement Monday and I am at the hospital watching over her. I will not be home to pack up shipping for a few more days but am trying to finish any crafts that can be done "on the go"

Update: my mother is having complications. We are in the endless testing phase of things but things could be better for her. Please keep her in your prayers/warm thoughts/positive vibes.

I have now learned that I am irrational in my swap sign-ups as well. Obviously.

It took a kind PM from another user to point this out to me, even after I had fallen behind, I continued to sign up for swaps. This is not rational behavior. I didn't even realize I was doing it. I never intended to be a schmuck.

I am not there yet, but perhaps when I clean up my mess I will try doing so in baby steps.

Response: Yay! I felt really bad about the green, but I LOVE that shade, so I am glad it is not totally gross to you. I was pretty excited to find a local spice. I do not cook, so it is not something I normally notice. Thanks for rating :)

Response: I am SO glad the bracelet fits and that you like it. I had a lot of fun making it, and even fun REmaking it heehee and was worried it would be too wide for your little wrist, once I got the length sorted. The earrings were another trial and error adventure. You should have seen my first attempts. Finally I got out a pencil and drew the final shape, put dots where the intersections were, and figured out how many beads in between those. Whew. And then I learned, after making them both, that they need more support so I modified the formerly finished earrings right before shipping. The first two attempts ended up with the stars the wrong way around LOL I learned a whole lot during this swap :D

Comment: Thanks for the cute postcards - I love my name! I didn't realize it's out there so much...especially that there's a magazine in Wilmington with my name on it! I'm only a few hours from there so I think I will have to plan a weekend trip and see if I can get a copy! Thanks for the San Diego map and the summer kit - cute bag and ball! Response: I have tried contacting marty and others to make amends for my past flakiness but have been unable to elicit a response. I am doing some angeling and RAOK to "make up" for the past. I need advice. If I have tried to contact those on whom I flaked and cannot get communication going, at what point can I be forgiven and get the 1 off of my record. Or somehow mitigated? I feel ridiculous repeating my explanation for what happened two years ago and how I am trying to make up for it every time I want to join a swap. I realize it is only fair that people know I have a tainted history, but I have two swaps at the top of my list that I cannot mark sent because the recipients won't respond or have not been on Swap-bot for a long time. I feel guilty about what I did two years ago, but the constant reminder is casting a pall on the whole experience. I don't feel right marking them "sent" to get them off my list, but I am tired of being constantly reminded. Can someone "in charge" give me a penance and set me a little bit free? Please? I owe chi chi, WayWardSon, marty and Sherry. I owe two people some handmade cat toys, and two people photos I've taken.
