About Me

I am Fortysomething, married & have 2 children. I work full time at my local hospital as a Ward Sister.I live in the South of England.☆ I think I'm quite easy to please and joined swap bot because I enjoy the giving as much as receiving, If I get something I don't like / can't use I'm a hoarder so I'm sure it will come in useful someday. I haven't swapped for a few years because family and work life has been so hectic and I didn't want the extra stress of worrying about post but I'm ready for a little swapping now.

I don't mind if things are second hand as long as they are clean and still useable. I re use all my packaging. I don't mind if things are sent late as long as you let me know. I always rate as soon as I receive and only mark 'sent' when I get home from the Post Office.

Favorite Crafts

Beading is my main craft but I dabble in lots of other things mainly paper related with the odd bit of sewing.

My favourite colours are purple & green in all shades. I also like red, oxblood, brown, turquoise, golden sunshine yellow. I like colour in general and have no real dislikes except maybe neon shades and baby pastels. My favourite season is autumn.

Things I use in my crafts;

All kinds of beads & broken jewellery to take apart & re use. I love recycling!

I also love paper making, doodling, botanical drawings, pressed flowers and leaves.

I like ribbons, sticky ribbons, postage stamps, japanese washi tape, anything to do with nature & biology/anatomy especially insects, butterflies, leaves. Skulls, 4 leaf clovers, Steampunk, pen and ink drawings, graffiti, street art, lettering, fonts, stencils. anything nursing / medical.

I love Tea & drink loads- my favourite wake up tea is Bewleys Irish tea or Sussex Blend but I also love Assam, Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Green tea especially with mint or lemon, echinacea tea, chamomile, & ginger are favourites but I will give anything a try!

Just got some Matcha Green Tea powder & everything I make is green tea flavoured at the moment, so if you have ever made anything with green tea, send me the recipe!

I love to cook so always need inspiration and new ideas.

I love getting things by post ✉

Comment: Ok so I've now finally opened the package as I've been away for a few days and only just got a minute to myself. I want to say thank you so much for everything that you have sent. You have spent so much time looking into my profile and things that I am interested in. I'm happy I've introduced you to decoden and I hope you decide to make your own little projects :) I actually cried when I was opening the little hello kitty tins (im 28 weeks pregnant so the hormones don't help haha!) The owl and kitty beads are amazing! I've never seen anything like them before! The amount of decoden supplies you have given me is crazy! I'm now thinking about all the projects I can use them for and I will be sure to send you photos :) I love the Alice in wonderland charms and the jewellery supplies, I will be making use of those soon :) the little hello kitty phone charm is now on my purse as well :) so thank you so much for everything. I couldn't be happier with everything that you have sent. Have a very merry Christmas!

Comment: Thanks for organising this swap. I loved your page with the medical graphs, too cool. I have tried to recreate your restrained splogy backgrounds, but always fail to stop soon enough.
Comment: Thank you for your entries. I too have been exploring uses for security envelopes after I read it somewhere. The thing that struck me about the street in Fulham was the number of cars there now.
Comment: Thankyou for the info about your Grandmother. I hope my grandson thinks in future years that I was special. I love your material and the pictures of beads but the eye is a bit creepy!!
Comment: I love how Helen stuck in the greetings card and on the next page you did a painting of it - I love it - I want to take the page out and frame it!! I love fonts too :)

Comment: I adore the cartoon me :) it's awesome! I love the stream of consciousness page with all those words :D
