I am currently hosting my VERY first swap!! I hope you all can join me, I'm sure it will be fun! Everyone needs a Pretty Princess Dotee!
Hello!! I am a 27 year old stay-at-home mother of four ages 8,6, 4,and 2. Three boys and one girl. I have been married nine years to my sexy soulmate, Shane. I have a serious sock addiction: stripes, dots, toed, anything crazy from my ankles to over the knee. I LOVE tattoos, skulls, and Roses. I am almost always willing to try new things. My favorite accessories are funky earrings and my kids handmade necklaces (YES, even the macaronie necklace :) I am wierd, and I like that. Yet I am strangly domestic. Something that cracks my sister up to no end. I make my kids halloween costumes every year. My kitchen is my kingdom, always on the lookout for new foods to cook, or creative deserts to bake. My kitchen is all red, black and white and decorated in cherries, something thats getting harder and harder to find. I love to quilt, crochet, and read. I also do cross-stitch and embroidery. I collect shot glasses, keychains, postcards and of course... FABRIC!!!!! 'Cuz you can never have too many FQs!!
MUSIC!!!!! I live for music!! You can keep the TV, give me tunes!! Rob Zombie, Seether, System of a Down, Paramore, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Killers, Andrew Lloyd Webber...... I could go on forever.
My Husband would say anything in print but I disagree. All books are NOT created equal! I LOVE the Harry Potter books, except DH, I'm pretending that one doesnt exist. My all time favorite auther is Barbara Michaels, who also writes under the name Elizabeth Peters. I also enjoy Kristen Britain, Anne Rice, Sharron Shinn, Mercedes Lackey, Andre Norton, and J.V. Jones. I love good mysteries, and fantasy. I also read manga when I can get my hands on it (very hard to find around here)
Yes I know I said I would rather have tunes..... but that doesnt mean I dont watch TV ever!! Ocassionally my kids let me pick a movie... My all time favorite movie is The Spanish Main a slightly cheesy pirate movie from 1944... IN GLORIOUS TECHNICOLOR!!! Also love Howls Moving Castle, The Labyrinth, All the Harry Potter movies, and Much Ado About Nothing.
Again....... Yes I do watch TV, just not much. If on the odd chance that I seize control of the remote... I prefer anime or crime shows. Inuyasha, Bleach, Fruits Basket, The Wallflower, Criminal Minds, CSI, House, and Bones. Um... yeah thats it. :)
My favorite craft would have to be quilting. My great grandmother taught me when I was very young. I have worked my way from simple doll size tied block quilts to my latest project, a king sized double wedding ring quilt for my sisters wedding gift. I love fabric! And quilting, to me, is the greatest way to showcase your individuality. I try to use diferent textures in my projects. I also try to experiment with a wide spectrum of colors and prints, but my favorites have to be Asian prints, jewel tones, black/white, and pink/brown.

I've been trying to add to my profile as things come to me. And something that "came to me" this afternoon was maybe adding a list of things I would like to learn or do. So here it goes...
I would love to learn how to knit. I've checked several books out of the library on teaching yourself how to do this, but it always ends in failure. The pictures are really confusing. So for right now, taking two needles and a ball of yarn then turning it into a sweater is SOOOOO MAGIC!! (sorry too much Abby Cadabby lately:) UPDATEThank you to everyone who suggested that I try watching some how to videos on youtube!! I have taken your advice and am now almost done with my first ever hand knitted scarf!! Pics comeing soon!
I would really love to scrapbook. My friends tell me that it really doesnt take any skill, just a little imagination (which I do have some) But everytime I get some paper and pictures out with all those cool little doo dads and stickers and scissors.... I cant figure out what to do with them. I know I shouldnt be so panicy about paper and glue.... but what if I mess up? Go ahead and laugh at me I know you want to.... what can I say, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and the thought of "messing up" terrrifies me. I might get to it someday, I've saved tons of stuff, just in case I do :)
I really, really, really want to go back to school. Right now the plan is that as soon as Lily goes to kindergarden I will go to college. Which is good I guess, she's two so I have three years to decide (for sure) exactly what I want to do when I grow up. If it ever happens...
Well thats all I can think of for now, But I will keep adding as things "come to me" :D

You're welcome, glad you like it :)
thanks for joining my doodle dotee swap! have fun! x
polymer clay? lol don't know that one. well, you could always PRINT them and glue them on. the new owner just has to make sure NOT to let her swim or anything like that... ;)
Yeah, Fimo's a soft… well, stuff, comes in different colours, shoudl be available in all crafts shops really. You can form anything out of it - then bake it for about 25 minutes, let it cool down, then use it. It's used for making bigger things such as figurines, but also tiny stuff. And you either use different colours or paint it later. :)
LOL! Cucumbers! That's brilliant! :D Hmh, maybe make them out of fimo and then stick them on? Now I want to make a piercing dotee. LOL
Myeah, I was thinking that tattooing your dotee might turn out a tiny bit tricky. Maybe a piercing dotee would be easier. Heeheeh.
giggle Welcome to my Pampered Dotee swap! :D Hey, how about a tattooed Dotee? Just seen that you like tattoos, etc. Heeheeh. Naurwen
Thanks for sending me a great WTA dotee parcel for Hooked on Dotees :D
OnyxLight, thank you for your comment!! I do love to sew! I think if you started with worsted weight and use wool and wooden knitting needles the size recommended on the label would be a good way to start. Find a beginner Utube lesson and go for it!!
