Christmas Card Swaps
I'd be happier with card images/messages that are not OVERLY religious--"Merry Christmas" is fine, "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" -- not so much. Thanks!
I work doing occupational therapy with adults who are mentally ill--and love my work. I get to spend 2 - 3 hours every workday teaching folks to make art...
I'm married, 28 years. We have no kids, but 2 dogs. Our "girls" are English Setters.
I love all colors, with a preference for cool colors. I collect frogs, sheep, whistles shaped like fish (yes, it's an odd thing to collect--my collection is rather small), wool, glass beads and penguins.
I enjoy reading and always have a book or two underway--often one is about knitting, the other a novel or psychology/social science book.
For exercise I swim or ride my bike.
I spend a good deal of time with my 84-year old mother--we do crafts together: beading, cardmaking & rubber stamping mostly, occasionally something different. Sadly my mother is developing dementia, and I'm caught in the dance of sorrow, frustration and treasuring every moment we have together...
Folk/eclectic--from Joni Mitchell's early stuff to Lucy Kaplansky to Martyn Joseph to Eliza Gilkyson.
I also like Brazilian bossa nova/samba music and some of the older mellow jazz for background music.
The Devil Wears Prada, An Inconvenient Truth, My Big Fat Greek Wedding & other "chick flicks", subtitled French comedies, old Bogart/Bacall movies...
Don't have time to watch more than the news....and don't even do that every day.
paper crafts -- knitting, fulling & felting -- art clay silver -- beading
I make and sell books and greeting cards, knit for my own enjoyment (and gifts for family & friends), and sell/gift some of my silver and beaded jewelry.
Fiber preferences: natural fibers, wool is my favorite, worsted weight or thereabouts...Someday I may learn to spin--I have tons of wool roving and combed top that I also use to make felt.
My husband comments that I have enough wool to last til the next millennium, but I think I could use a bit more...

I love personalizing my belongings and I also like reading. To combine both, I came up with the idea of creating a profile related bookmark swap. This swap was created before the group.
Please feel free too visit my Profile Related Bookmark Swap and join.
Hoping we will have a lot of fun because I intend to do a series of them, but they will be within the Bookmarks of all kinds group.
Happy swaps. Toupti =D

We used to live in Portland (about 20 years ago...) My sister still lives there.
One of my high school teachers (from Idaho) moved to West Linn. I wonder if he retired there? Jerry Kuykendall- he was a great teacher and a wonderful person.
Thanks again for the packet!
