11/13/29 Update:
Well, I thought 2018 was bad, it was the year our house burned down...which could have been way worse than it was--no one was in the house when it happened, no firefighters were injured fighting the blazes, and we had another place to live...
2019 has been more challenging by far--
-1/2/19 My mother, who I had been caring for for 8+ years started hospice services
-3/13/19 My mother passed away.
-5/5/19 We had to have our 14 year old dog Stella put to sleep.
-6/29/19 My husband had a stroke--fortunately, it was very mild, he was hospitalized 10 days, and had PT and OT into September, and is doing very well
-7/13/19 A close friend died quite suddenly.
-8/14/19 My mother-in-law passed away.
-9/20/19 I had surgery, which turned out to be more complex than initially thought, and a slower-than-hoped-for recovery.
I'm happy to say that I am starting to feel more hopeful these days, and like some of the clouds of sadness are lifting.
I have not been swapping very much this year, but have been able to get all of my swaps out on time. I hope to be able to swap more soon...
Folk/eclectic--from Joni Mitchell's early stuff to Lucy Kaplansky to Martyn Joseph to Eliza Gilkyson.
I also like Brazilian bossa nova/samba music and some of the older mellow jazz for background music.
paper crafts -- needlepoint & embroidery -- art clay silver -- beading -- acrylic paint pouring
I make and sell books and greeting cards, and sell/gift some of my silver and beaded jewelry.
I do collage, mostly as art-as-therapy for myself, but will also do it on a smaller scale for swaps.
After a scary allergy response to 'something I ate' in June 2016, I had food sensitivity testing done, and score as very reactive to avocados, eggs, bananas, pineapple, almonds & sunflower seeds/oils. Please don't send me any of those items, and if you do send a food item, please check the ingredients, as I have found eggs and sunflower oil/sunflower lecithin to lurk in the most unexpected places!
I also do not use any artificial sweeteners, as the chemical ones upset my tummy, and Stevia is a relative of the sunflower...
I am interested in private swaps for various items, please PM me if you would like to discuss doing a swap with me!

Thanks again for the felt flowers and buttons. They came at a good time. I used some of them on my own N&T ATC coin swap.
Your sticker RAK came in my mailbox today! The stickers are perfect for in my bullet journal and I love the little journal pockets you made, they are so cute! The tip on finding stencils is also really helpfull, I am definitely going to have a look at Ali Express. Thank you so much!
I am so happy you are enjoying the bookmark I made for you 4 years ago. Your message made my day. :-)
The stamps came in today and I am so excited to try them out! And you included an ink pad, which means I get to use them faster! Thanks so much for holding the RAK ♡
Oh Kathy you are so thoughtful! You didn't have to send the postage. I do love the article on Julie Nutting, so excited you sent this to me! I knew this existed but never got to see it until now. THANK YOU! Peace Bonnie
