About Me

My name is Krista. I'm a 24 year old music enthusiast who was studying to become a teacher but decided to pick up and move to NYC instead. I'm leaving in December.

What's life without a little reckless abandon, anyway?

I'm a sucker for sentimental greeting cards and I love giving gifts that make people cry. I also love to laugh. I love cheesy jokes, comics (check out www.marriedtothesea.com) and stand-up shows. I'm staunchly liberal and fight evil politicos in my spare time.

I'm also sort of an 80 year old trapped in this body. I like to bake cookies, sit at home on Saturday nights watching The Antique Road Show, have aspirations for knitting in the future and gardening.

I have an amazing family that I adore. My 2 younger sisters are my best friends. My dog Buckley and I also share a birthday, which is always fun.

Favorite Music

Music is the bump and sway in my every step. It is my passion and I like all genres (including country and rap) although Folk is currently my favorite. Courtesy of iTunes my most played artists are:

Sufjan Stevens, Ani Difranco, Coconut Records, The Weepies, The Swell Season, Beirut, Jude, Page France, Richard Buckner and Ray LaMontagne.

Currently I am overplaying everything by The Come Ons and Au Revoir Simone :)

I reuse all the packaging I can. Your package may not be very pretty but the inside is and Madame Earth likes it too!

I would appreciate receving recycled materials too, if you have them to send!

I'm actually not crafty at all. I started making ATC's but I don't think I'm very good at them. Basically, if you're in the market for a mix CD or a bit of writing I'm your lady!

So... You should be receiving your mix soon. Kind of excited! :D You mentioned you love every genre of music, but currently Folk's your favorite so I added one of my all-time favorite Folk band (I guess you could call them that) to the mix. No spoilers! You'll have to wait to know who they are... :] The title of the mix is taken from their song and it has a * to let you know that's the band. Anywho, I hope you truly enjoy it!
