I may not be swapping much here anymore, but I'm still writing letters. You may find me on sendsomething.net at the link above.
I'm Erin. I'm 28 years old and I live in the beautiful mountains of Western NC. I'm a college grad, back in school to get my K-6 teaching license. I'm looking forward to teaching 3rd or 4th grade in a few years. For now I work in a small family owned toy store.
I love running, reading, used book stores, iced lattes, chai tea, papasan chairs & hammocks, watching the stars and the moon, catching fireflies, hiking and bikes rides, cupcakes, sushi, dancing at 80s night, penguins & owls, browsing local art galleries, and handwritten letters.
Postcards, note cards, stationery sets, deco tape/washi tape, blank labels, stickers, felt tip pens, rubber stamps, bookmarks, small notebooks, 1inch novelty pins, jewelry trinkets, skeleton keys and interesting photographs.
I like my postcards sent naked, no envelope, stamped and written on. If you can't think of anything to write, feel free to include a favorite quote.
I prefer store-bought postcards over handmade - unless the swap calls for handmade. I also prefer non-tourist cards when possible. One huge exception, I love tourist cards from outside the US showing where you live or different cultures.
Favorite postcard themes: Art, especially street art or modern local artists from your area, cute illustrations, especially owls, sarcastic, weird & funny photos or sayings, Anne Taintor style humor, vintage images, vintage book covers, old buildings, interesting architecture, beautiful scenery - cityscapes, mountains or the ocean.
I love nearly everything from Chronicle Books or Laughing Elephant. Not a fan of Zazzle-type cards unless the image is well done. I love postcards bought from Etsy - as long as they are professionally printed!
To name a few... The Black Keys, The Decemberists, Mumford & Sons, Iron & Wine, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, Fleet Foxes, The Avett Brothers, Radiohead.
Garden State, 500 Days of Summer, Juno, Elizabethtown, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Away We Go, Stranger Than Fiction, Better Off Dead, Nightmare Before Christmas
1984, Brave New World, Cat's Cradle, The Catcher in the Rye, Lord of the Flies, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Pride & Prejudice, Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, and anything by Christopher Moore.

I love to make cards, envelopes, gift tags and journals out of old books pages, sheet music, maps or any other interesting paper.
I always send my swaps well before the deadline. However, if something comes up and I need to send late, I always try to alert my partner.
I am happy to re-send if a swap is damaged or lost in the mail. Please let me know if there is a problem before you rate.
I am not an uptight swap partner. If you need to send late, that's ok. If you can't find a postcard to suit my exact tastes, that's ok too.
I like to give hearts to my partners, especially if it is clear they read my profile. Little extras aren't required to get a heart, but are always very much appreciated.
Please do not send food items (including tea, I love it, but I have plenty), religious items (no crosses or bible verses please), useless $1 store junk, scented items (I especially hate floral scents), anything that smells like smoke, Hello Kitty, Kawaii or Disney. Other general dislikes: reality television, top 40 and country music, racism, sexism, homophobia and other unwarranted forms of discrimination.

Definitely love your PCfor the NYUP's PC tag, it is so unique ;-)
I received your postcard for the "Who Likes" postcard tag.. Awesome postcard! (It's the one with all the motel rooms on the front..) I tried looking for the book, but I cant find it on amazon. Where did you get it??
Thank You for the nice notecards you sent for the NTG WTA! I already used one!
Thank you for the lovely blank note cards for the 'This or That' tag swap. The Punch Studio cards are my favorite brand - the gold gilded seaside card is so beautiful. The sugar loaft pine apple card is very pretty and a nice size. Your enclosed, handmade notecard is so clever. I really enjoyed this tag. Many thanks.
I love the Saint Joe PC you sent! Very cool! Thank you! I will send one along soon...
Welcome To I ♥ Non-Touristy Postcards!! Please stop by, introduce yourself in the form, play tag and join swaps! :)
The PC you sent of the Blue Ridge Mts for the PC Lovers June WTA is breathtakingly beautiful!! I'm jealous that you can see that beauty every day :) Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for the cool postcard from postcard tag. I have never seen that movie, I need to check it out. :)
I sure hope the teaching and hiring freeze is not effecting you.
My sis got her degree and all the sudden no teachers are needed, in fact they are firing all sorts of teachers instead.
