I am finally in a position to return, both financially and emotionally. It's been a hard road and isn't over yet, but I'm heading in the right direction :-). I am also finally relaunching my own cross stitch designs and patterns - so in future stitchy type swaps you never know what you may get!!

About Me as a Swapper and Host

I will always rate. Since it's usually a while before I get to the computer and I'm not exactly the most organised person if I have not rated you please give me a nudge :-)

Even if you don't want to rate me, please at least drop me a PM to let me know it has arrived safe and sound, particularly as most of my stuff heads overseas.

I try to get things sent out early. Where I mail from is a rural general store so goodness knows how long it takes to get to a real post office. This is why I try and send early though

As a Host I will always try and do my best for you. I DO read profiles and communicate with people. If someone has a lower rating in my swap, if they make it though without being dropped I guarantee you that I have checked them out or spoken to them.

Some new additions to my wish list are these things I have only just heard of!! Dew drops - snot dots - or the stuff to make these at home - a splat mat!! I have not been able to find one at a reasonable price that will post to Australia.

I have dabbled in a lot of crafts over the years. My passion is cross stitch though, I particularly like stitching 'smalls' - scissor fobs, biscornus, needlebooks etc.

My favourite colour is purple, but I love any of the deep jewel like tones like the deep pinks, turquoise/aqua and peacock blues.

I also love collecting anything that could come in handy one day

6 inch fabric squares or halloween or christmas fabric, or chocolate, candy, cupcakes etc

overdyed embroidery floss - espec the newer Weeks Dye Works. Also Caron waterlillies or Crescent Colors Pansy Purple

Cross stitch fabric - linen or evenweave, I hate using aida though

Ephemera or anything else I can use on ATCs (I am becoming addicted to ATCs). Also bits and pieces for a potential future SMASH book, and seriously considering giving this a go!

Black glitter gel pens - I can't find them anywhere

Textured or handmade paper

Kreinik #4 braid

My bedroom is purple green and pale blue

The rest of the house is browns and reds

The kitchen is red with kind of a chicken/rosster theme lol

I have also started collecting an owl or 2 lol

I am a definate chocoholic. Love trying chocolate from different places.

Likes: Hersheys kisses or hugs, peanut butter chocolate

Dislikes: Aniseed or licorice

I have quite a few favourite authors but the list is topped by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James Patterson, Lee Childs, Jeffrey Deaver, Jonathon Kellerman. I love thrillers, crime and horror although I will read almost anything - I hate not having a book 'on the go'.

Love Masterchef and most other cooking shows

The Amazing Race, Survivor etc - love watching the people dynamics

Similar tastes to my reading material - so Buffy, NCIS, CSI, Without A Trace, Bones are all up there.

I love older TV as well - Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, The King of Queens, MASH, Hogans Heroes, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched lol, yeah I know - I'm hopeless. We just finished watching The Gilmore Girls - I never saw it when it was new! Of course I cannot survive without Packed To The Rafters

Very average tastes I think - I particularly like the 60's, 70's and 80's. I love our home grown talent, especially John Farnham, Kate Ceberano, Human Nature, Tina Arena, Natalie Imbruglia. I also like Pink, Shania Twain, Tina Turner - to name a few, quite a variation I guess lol

My Daughter is 14. She loves Horses, Cats, Unicorns, Pegasus. Her favourite colour is purple. She adores Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate She loves anything crafty and creative, as well as drawing. She also loves stickers, stationery, gel pens and anything else similar. Of course she is now starting to get interested in young teen type makeup and girly stuff, nothing to heavy though.
