Hey! My name is Melody and I'm a 31 year old stay at home mom of 4 awesome kids.

I'm taking a small break from swap-bot over the summer. Things have just gotten too hectic with the kids home, job search and vacations. So I'm finishing up the last couple of swaps and wishlist things I need to send out and I'll be MIA for a while after that.

I am in an amazing relationship with a wonderful man. I suppose I could gush about finding true love finally, but I'll spare you the sappiness.

I share my home with my wonderful Mom and we live in the Durham region of Ontario, just outside of Toronto. I love it here. It's still away from the big city but still very lively and fun.

I'm an aspiring writer with a horrible case of writer's block & writer's fear. I'm hoping my return to school will open my imagination up again. My amazing boyfriend bought me a Digital Voice Recorder for Christmas to aid me in releasing my inspiration whenever, where ever I may be.

We have recently welcomed a new addition to our family. A Pug/Boston Terrier cross puppy, we have named her Pixie Belle. She is all black with white and black socks, she is absolutely precious.

I have to admit, I've been very overwhelmed by swap-bot, there is so much I want to join in on, but my lack of craftiness has held me back.

I really am very easy to please, I just love getting a little postcard or a little package in the mail. Knowing that someone took the time and effort to send out something to me is more important than what they send :)

I am a huge movie addict. As of right now my favourite movies are all the Saw films (shocking considering I hate horrors), 300, Grandma's Boy, The Notebook, LOTR Trilogy, Pride & Prejudice and many, many others.

I have eclectic taste when it comes to music. I love all genres of music from Country to Heavy Metal. I think the only music I'm not a fan of is Opera, Classical & Rap.

I love the colours purple, blue, pink & black.

I collect Teddy Bears, Fairies, giraffes & Anne Geddes.

I like dark clothing and goth wear.

I keep my hair dyed dark colours, blacks, dark browns and even some purples.

I like silver & white gold and always wear a simple silver band & a heart necklace.

I have my labret, ears & belly button pierced.

I used to have penpals all over the world and miss writing letters daily.

I obsessively read PostSecret weekly and can't wait to start collecting the books.

I have stacks of books around my house that I intend to read when the house is quiet once again.

I read my LiveJournal daily and have made many lifelong connections through that website.

I love stuffed animals and dolls of any kind. Anything cuddly, cute or squishy makes me smile.

I've recently rediscovered my love of matryoshka dolls, thanks to being on Swap-bot. I've always admired the dolls and wished I could collect them.

I love writing and can never have enough pens, pencils, markers, sharpies, erasers and paper.

I'm learning how to make Stuffies and really want to see my creativity flow that way. I have a gazillion cute ideas in my head, just need the know-how to see them come to life.

I love to bake. I collect recipes to try out and adjust. Anything to do with baking makes me squeal, from the smallest wooden spoon to the largest cake pan. I make killer truffles if I do say so myself.

I'm very interested in learning how to make make beaded & wire jewelery. I would love to learn how to make tiaras, circlets and crowns for weddings etc. I'm going to start self learning in the next couple of months and see if I'm any good at it :)

I want to try my hand at ATC's, Matchboxes and other paper crafts. I'm slowly trying to build up supplies to be able to explore some more craftiness.

As I said in the beginning of my profile, I'm really not hard to please, I just love recieving thoughtful gifts.

• Papercraft supplies, pens, markers, stickers, cardstock, collage papers, etc etc etc. I'm still building a supply for creating ATC's, matchboxes, and other paper crafts.

• Felties & stuffies, I just love seeing what others create!

• Felties & stuffies supplies, felts, wool felts, and embellishments to create them with.

• Craft paints & Glitter Paints for ATC's, notecards, matchboxes etc.

• Anything with Viggo Mortensen on it.

• Anything to do with Matryoshka dolls.

• Candy or chocolate, especially milk chocolate. I don't like dark chocolate though.

Lucas is 13, he's a sarcastic, funny guy. He's got a big heart and loves to share hugs with everyone.

He's completely in to gaming, all gaming, anything that has to do with gaming.

He loves to read especially books about Dragons, Pirates, Medieval type books.

He loves learning about Asian Culture. He's taught himself to speak a bit of Japanese and seem to prefer Japanese Rock at the moment.

Leah is 12, she's my whirlwind. She's kept me on my toes for 12 years and I imagine she will do so for the next 12 more.

She loves anything crafty, colouring, painting, knitting (just learning), and just about anything creative.

She is obsessed with Webkinz, Littlest Pet Shop and anything to do with dogs, especially Chihuahuas.

She recently had her ears pierced and loves getting new earrings to wear.

Mark is 4.5 years old. He is my total momma's boy. He's shy, silly and a daydreamer.

He loves anything with wheels. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, trains, Disney Cars they are all his favourites.

He has become a little gamer with his big brother leading the way. He tends to play most often on the computer. He's a bit addicted in that area.

Madelyn is also 4.5 years, as Mark & Madelyn are twins. :) She is my girly-girl. She is a total Princess and knows it.

She loves to dress up in pretty clothes, bracelets, necklaces, tiaras, shoes etc. She loves to create unique looks and dance around the house.

Even as a Princess, she is a total mommy to her twin brother. She mothers him in ways that would melt your heart. She does the same with her dolls. She adores her dolls and carries one around constantly.

All of my children love candies & chocolate, and as much as I try to limit it, they do get some. :)

Within in the next 10 years I plan to move to Italy, hopefully the region of Tuscany. I am completely devoted to learning as much as I possibly can about Italy.

My boyfriend and I are learning to speak Italian, we read up as much as we can, we explore the Internet trying to find out everything we will need to know.

It is my dream to live in Italy for the rest of my life.
