I'm a mom of two, who works part time. I love my husband and do my best to enjoy my family and our time together. I've always crafted and recently have returned to weaving and crocheting. Cooking is enjoyable family time for us. I''m practical by nature and enjoy inexpensive fun, that is what attracted me to swopbot. Last year, the kids and I participated in a shoebox swap in which various items from your local area are gathered and sent to another family. We had a great time putting ours together. To our great disappointment, we never received one in return.
I'm interested in handmade items, large unique buttons, woven and weaving related items, natural fiber yarns/rovings, Trader Joe's – especially the coffee, garlic and garlic items, homemade soap (not glycerin), international coins and paper money, homemade or unique grocery/shopping bags, temporary tattoos, interesting boxes and containers, especially other than floral, bento boxes/accessories, cloth "Luna" pads- any style, locally available food or other items, baking or cooking items/tools, homemade books, notebooks, vintage tablecloths and other linens, any soft cloth napkin, dark chocolate, chocolate covered espresso beans, 4H or 4 leaf clover items, felted items, handmade stamps, zomes
I'd love to receive most any international item, wooden Christmas ornaments, natural fiber yarns, especially hemp, nettle, wool, cotton..., whole bean dark roast coffee, boat shuttles & bobbins
deep rich colors-eggplant, indigo, burgundy, browns, other neutrals
Weaving is my favorite activity. I have large and small looms and am finding anything goes. I wish I had more time to weave. I love everything about the process. I do small crochet projects, practical items like hot pads and dishrags. Often, I will felt them. I've done some other felting and would like to do more. My daughter is the budding artist and we try all sorts of projects. We recently started with ATC's. We've used a variety of medium including rubber stamps, stickers, pastels and colored pencils. I'm open to more. I enjoy interesting fabric but have little to no sewing skills. Ana & I are attempting some small sewing projects together. Occasionally, when we are getting stinky, I make soap. I am hoping to carve some rubber stamps and do block printing soon too. Cooking is a regular occurrence, and at times a hobby.

My 10 year old son Duncan loves to read. Roald Dahl and the Wizard of Oz series are two of his favorites. He has at least three other current book series he is collecting. I can PM with exact books. Items on his wish list include a catapult, magic 8 ball, magic the gathering cards, a ninja outfit size 10, booties size 5, vintage marbles & marble pricing books. Items with his name are hard to find and would be most appreciated. He enjoys cooking and baking. He thinks math is cool. He loves math and logic puzzles. He likes fun homemade pillowcases.
My 7 year old daughter Anastasia loves anything princess, seeing her name in print, funky beads, pierced earrings, dress up stuff, notebooks/journals/artist paper, horse books/items. She would appreciate homemade pillowcases too. She is hoping for a horn/bell for her bike. Her favorite colors are pink and purple.
DH John enjoys bagpipes, especially the Black Watch. He thinks I'm making him a kilt now that I'm weaving! He also likes good coffee, dark chocolate and nuts.
