Comment: What a cool envelope! Thank you for the great zombie ATC, which I freakin love by the way. Thank you for the vintage ephemera also. That will always get used! This envie will make it's way into my journal. Score.
Comment: Great mummy ATC-taking a selfie-no less! How funny is that! Thanks for the extra and varied papers you sent along-love them too-thanks for sharing and Happy Halloween! Great decorated envie, too!
Comment: I just opened this, and I can't stop giggling. It actually works out extra-fabulously because he's upside-down, which I enjoy. I love it. Still giggling. :D Also, thanks for the extras-- especially excited to use the little booklet to make a flipbook. Thanks again! ♥
Comment: Thank you for the great cutouts! What sorts of magazines did you use? You sent such fun pictures! And that sticker on the envelope, OMG!! Where in the world did you find it?
Response: I am so glad that you like them. They are from some lighting magazines that I get from my workplace and fashion magazines like Marie Claire, Glamor, and Bazaar. I honestly can't remember what sticker I used on the envelope.
Comment: How could you be on the naughty list with me?! You sent the most wonderful selection of goodies and I love everything! Especially the hand painted/gelli plate? papers! I plan to work in my art journals this winter and I will love using these in my book. Your note made me laugh! lol Thanks again. Hugs, Bonnie
Comment: My apologies for not rating this right away. I thought I had changed that bad habit, but apparently I have had a temporary (I hope) relapse. . . . . Your tactile collage postcard is very cool! I love the orange wallpapers, but I can't imagine a wall space of any size actually having much of that color. Interesting! The black on orange embossed leopard pattern is neat too.
Comment: love how you made it come together. my son went on a schooltrip to Auschwitz when he was 15. he told me it was mindbloving. what he told me he remember most was a room with hair
Response: Yes, the Nazi's cut their hair as one of the many ways to dehumanize the Jews. I find it fascinating and horrifying to to hear what they went through. I'm a weirdo... Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Thank you for the collage goodies, Candace! The Chinese lettering practice sheet is really cool. I don't think I can cut it up. ;D
Response: It is a big sheet. Cut it up and use it. I have a couple more if you run out and need another. I am trying to not get so attached to items that I don't use them. It is a constant struggle. Am I right?
Comment: Loving that glitter texture paste. Another great page, thank you!
Response: Thank you so much. Glad that you like it. I hope you aren't to tired of getting these from me. I know you have gotten mine in almost every swap...LOL. So much for randomness. Thanks for the heart rate!
Comment: I like the message of this page: do big things! Thank you for the great page.
Response: I love it when I find some good messages to cut out of magazines. I mostly have fashion type magazines and they are not really rich in meaningful text if you know what I mean. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Wow, what a great job you did. I like the black texture that almost looked like tire treads. Very kewl. Thanks for the extras too.
Adding to this rating Candace, you really made my pages wonderful...thank you so much.
Response: You are so welcome. Thanks for the heart rate
Comment: Eye, Eye Eye!! Thanks for the eye-boggling card Candace & for hosting this fun swap. I had fun with it last year so was delighted to see a reappearance. Wish my eyes were the blue of that one in the center of your card!
Response: You are so welcome. Thanks for the heart rate
Comment: My first "bit of color" card. I love the collage and that you explained the color association with amusement thus, Punch. Thanks for coordinating the swap. I'm looking forward to more like it.
Response: You are so welcome, Thanks for the heart rate and the kind comments.
Comment: Wow! What a great interpretation of Jill Stoll's style! I like yours better really. I love that blue and your use of neutral with the blue. Your cut outs and shapes are great. I love it. Thank you so much for sending it to me! (thanks too for hosting).
Response: You are so welcome, Thanks for the heart rate and the wonderful comments.
Comment: Thrift store scores are the BEST! Thanks for the lovely card!
Response: I am a thrift store junky. When ever I have had a bad day or hard day or am just plain sad, I go get a fix at the thrift store. My husband even takes me to thrift stores for a date night because I love them so much. I have to keep myself in check so that I don't become a hoarder. I never grab a cart. I watch episodes of Hoarders: Buried Alive just to remind myself that it can very easily get out of hand. LOL Plus I married a clean freak who would never let me become a hoarder.
Comment: I do love her! This swap is by far my most favorite! Must add that I loved your packaging as well, so very creative! I have loved all my dolls! But I have a special place in my heart for angels! Thank you!!!!!
Response: I do have to say that my original plan was specifically not to make an angel. I kept searching for inspiration and found tons but the thought just kept coming to make an angel. Now I know why that voice in my head kept prompting me. I am glad that you love her.
Comment: I can't believe I forgot to rate this swap, even after you asked about it. I love the wonderful collage. I am looking forward to this series of swaps. I enjoyed looking at your art on your Instagram page. I am interested in joining the Creative Collage group, but have not been able to set up a link for my Flickr page.
Response: Yay, glad you could join in the creative collage fun. I am just grateful that you received the card. I really enjoyed making that one. It is one of my favorite collages that I have done. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Lovely postcard! I ended up mixing some paint too because I didn't have much purple around! :)
Response: I love purple but apparently there is either not much of it out there or I am not drawn to it like I am with other colors. I didn't have much to work with in my stash. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Hi Candace - Thanks so much for all the amazing Vintage Cards. I absolutely love all of them and I am excited to add them to my collection. So many cute doggies!! Thanks for a wonderful swap. Take Care -Vanne
Comment: thank you for the washi and note. You actually sent me one that I just sent to someone else for this same swap lol! So at least you have good taste in washi tape since it's similar to mine! Love it, thanks :)
Response: You are welcome. Sorry for the duplicate. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Looking forward to christmas...thank you for the package.
update: I had to really laugh at the Rome paper, we were there last summer and it brought back some fun memories. The chalkboard bags will be fun swap packaging and the haunted stamps will make fun ATC backgrounds. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Response: You are welcome. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Hi Candace! I had to laugh when you said you thought it would be so easy and then it wasn't! I'm so glad you found everything--my absolute favs are the kitties and the flowers. Thank you so much for a lovely swap.
Response: You are welcome. Thanks for the heart rate. I really did think it would be easy to find those in my washi stash. I was surprised that I only had the one cat washi. Most of my washi is just patterns (no pics). Who knew, right.
Comment: This is getting exciting! Love your envelope...*edit Dec 1 17 opened this envelope today the tags are so darling and really evoke childhood Christmases, I will use then on some little prezzies ... Thanks..!
Comment: I'm loving the vintage postage! Can't wait to see what's inside! UPDAT: 12/13 Oh gosh, I can't for the life of me remember what was in this envelope but I know it was fabulous whatever it was!! Thank you!!
Response: Thanks for the heart rate. Found a great deal on some old stamps. Got to love EBAY
Comment: Candace, your zines are awesome! I can't even say that I like one better than the other... I LOVE the desk one, omg! But then the watercolor one is so beautiful in a completely different way. I'm not great at folding them either but don't let that stop you! You're great at this!! Thanks!
Response: Awe, I love the feed back and the encouragement. I had really kind of written them off but maybe I will try a few more.
Comment: Thank you ~ I'm glad you went with the pink and green vintage theme ~ I love it!......
I enjoyed your letter too. I also love to do many of the things you do and think my life is good right now.
Response: I am so glad that you like it. Thank you for the heart rate.
Comment: Great post card!! Loved the stamps / the mustache washi and of course your white collage....thank you very much... by the way I also started getting vogue magazine... no one I know said they sent it and I didn't sign up for it either! Weird!
Response: It is a gift from the Gods... or a curse... I have way to many magazines and can't bring myself to throw them away without processing them. I processed a big stack of my magazines yesterday though. I am glad that you liked the postcard. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: This is such a fun swap! Wish I had found it sooner. Loved the tombstone ATC, (all of the ones I have received are different). The stamp is awesome and I do appreciate you stamping some for me.Thanks for everything including the swap.
Response: You are welcome. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: I LOVE THIS DOLL! :-) You did such a great job creating it. Unusual, but totally adorable in that spooky Halloweeny kind of way. Love that you gave her a name and story too. Wonder if she'll find out what her key goes to someday. Thank you so much. Halloween Hugs, Sandy
Response: I totally need to make myself one. She was very hard to give up. I am glad that you love her. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Thank you so much for the great postcard. I love that you made him like a pinup model it really made me laugh
I am so sorry for the late rating. I love the swap series thank you so much for doing them
Response: I am relieved to hear that you received it. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Your wonderful zines arrived today and let me just say for a first timer they were awesome! A little secret--they always fold a little funky and those who fold them perfectly have some kinda born-with-it gift! As for themes, it'll come, especially if you just do what you like to do..!
Response: I might have to try some more. Maybe the trick is to not worry about the folding so much. I threw so many away because I couldn't get it to line up... I obviously gave up on perfect and went for as good as I could.
Comment: Candace! WOW!!! What a wonderful package to receive! I had such a sad day and this really soothed my soul. Everything is so beautiful... you added so much detail and I love it all! I will cherish each piece forever.... the embellishments are wonderful and I cannot wait to use them! Thanks so much!
Response: I hope you are doing better. Sad days are no fun, glad I could add a bit of happiness. Thanks for the heart rate. Big hugs
Comment: This is adorable! I do like bright colors but I adore vintage too! (I just don't personally do it well! Lol) How sweet to include some lace from your grandmother. I have often wanted some for a given project and now I have some!!
Response: I am glad that you liked it. I was a bit worried about this one. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Candance, oh my goodness!! What an amazing pocket letter. I love everything about it! And it's your first one?!? Keep it up, you've got talent and a real eye for design. The goodies were great too. Thank you for joining my swap and for sending me such an amazing Pocket Letter! It's my favorite holiday too! :) Shannn
Response: Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to say thank you for the heart rate and the great confidence boost.
Comment: Nicely done! I'm happy to have a Frida doll. It made me laugh because of the curve - I'm guessing it was a right-handed tasting spoon. Thank you so much for this wonderful package!
Response: I am glad that you like it. I thought it was just a warped spoon... lol. Can you tell I spend absolutely no time in the kitchen? My husband (who does all the cooking) doesn't like wooden spoons. So I made a quick trip to the thrift store to pick out some random spoon to use. Thank you for the heart rate!
Comment: I've already got an idea...will have to work on it a bit and see if it's feasible but I'm loving what you sent! 9/7/17 update: Oh my goodness! I NEVERE EVER would have thought of this and its gorgeous to the nth degree! I am over the moon with this, and now I want to make one too! Thank you so much, this swap not only pushed my creativity but also showed me how to look at an item differently!
Comment: Thank you so much for an awesome swap! I love the whimsy pocket, it's beautiful, I really like the way you closed up the bottom with wire. Very cool. And I will put your Grandmother's ribbon to good use.
Response: Thank you, I had so much fun rummaging through my stash to put it together.
Comment: After two long weeks in the p.o. no man's land I finally got your postcard! It had a postcard addressed to Michigan stuck to the front of it lol. It came off without messing anything up though and I took the Michigan pc to the post office to re-mail. This pc was awesome! I absolutely love the lemons that you painted! This will look beautiful in my album. Thanks so much :)
Response: I am glad it finally showed up. Thanks for the heart rate
Comment: Thanks so much for the sweet summer garden dotee! She went right out to the garden to hang out with another dear art doll I received a while ago... This was my first ever dotee, it was a fun project and I can't believe how much of a mess I made making her!!
Response: I always pull out way more stuff then I actually use. I just keep trying different things until I get something that I like. ♥ Thanks.
Comment: Outstanding job on the post card! I am not retired. I work for the school board and teacher night school. I only do night school in the summer.I do a lot of traveling! We have been in the Keys 7 years. It is amazing.
Response: Thank you for all your help. What do you teach for night school? ♥ Thanks.
Comment: Got my little pocket letter today😠It's great, very nice indeed! I can't give you much constructive criticism I just did my first also, not sure what the rules are EXCATLY either. All I can say is "I" don't think it needs improving at all. Thanks again. Beautiful work😉
Response: ♥ Thanks. I think I will be making more. They are fun to create
Comment: I am so amazed at the wonderful goodness you sent my way and the letter was great. It's been a long time since I got such a nice letter in a swap-bot exchange. I should take the example you set and try to do the same myself! It just means so much more than a "enjoy" one gets with most swaps! Thanks for taking the time and sending me such awesome happy mail! Thanks so much for sharing! I belong to a book club where we read what we want and then talk about it and pass it on to other members. Our next meeting is a week from tomorrow and I haven't read anything-I tend to craft more or watch You Tube craft how to videos but I took you suggestion about Poison study and ordered it on Amazon and should get it well before the meeting-thanks for the suggestion!
Response: I really hope that you love the book as much as I do. You will have to let me know good or bad, what you thought of it. It was really nice to write a full letter. Took some extra time but I got a letter out to everyone.
Comment: ♥ It took a little creative looking but I found a treasure in your board(s). I always appreciate another alphabetizer. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to getting some of your mail art soon.
Response: It is strange that you were the only one that had problems with the link. I am glad that we got it figured out. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: I am so,excited I got you as a partner. Thank you for the washi samples, as far as my favorite. That is hard, I do like the air mail one the best and that is only because I love air mail anything in crafts. But I like the ruler washi and the beige thin tape too. And I like the white washi with green dots, so much different than the ones with green washi and white dots you see all the time. Lol okay they all are my favorite. :)
Comment: I absolutely ADORE my little bunny. Everything from the fabrics to the 'staining' on her is perfect! She truly looks like a child's much loved on old best friend. The ears off to the side just kill me! I have her on a shelf in my living room with the pirate doll I got in the last swap, and every time I see her she makes me smile. Thank you so much! ( sorry again about the late rating)
Comment: This was sooooooo gorgeous, and so well made, and so much fun to go through! And so many yummy goodies too! I loved how you made your pockets, and the visual appeal it had. Now I feel so bad about mine, because yours was just so well done! I hope all goes well with the remodel, but I'm soooooo going to miss our swaps while you're away!
Comment: I immediately knew who the superhero you made for me was: Raven from the Teen Titans! I love her so much. You did an excellent job and I can definitely tell that you did your research. Thank you for my awesome new Ninni and the extra paper goods that you included in the package. I can't wait until we get to swap again!
Comment: I just recs your second sending today 1/24/17. I loved it all. My favorite xmas song is the same as you...Mary did u know...I heard it for the first time this past Christmas while listening to the radio. Thank you for the resend😉
Comment: Just got this today with the adorable extra cards!!! Thank you so very much! It's already on the tree and I can't wait to show it off to my extended family this Christmas! You are such an amazing swap partner...I'm looking forward to more swaps with you in 2017!
Comment: Wow! This is absolutely gorgeous, and perfectly timed too! I'm going to use it to keep track of all my Christmas shopping, and who I've gotten gifts for! Thank you so much...I'm so sorry the first one disappeared along the way!
Response: You are seriously the sweetest. Thanks for the heart rate. Glad you will be able to use it.
Comment: Hi Candace - you will never guess what turned up today .... It looks like the original card. Thank you for the cute cat postcard. P.S. If you have done a re-send - please send me your address so that I may send you a thank you in return.
Response: Lol. Glad it finally made it to you. I was losing faith in the mailing system. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! What a wonderfully creative and amazing little shrine! I never thought of creating my own the way you did...so very crafty! I recognize a few of the little goodies in there. It's definitely going onto my shelf of superior stuff I've received in swaps...it's got a place of honor!
Response: Yay, at least something came through. That was a lot of fun to make. Yep, I used some of the items you have sent to me. I feel extra special that you are putting on your shelf. That is freaking awesome!
Comment: Candace, I love my Halloween Doll! You did a great job, and there isn't anything that I could tell you to do differently! I joined this group a year ago and it truly is my favorite LOVE IT!!!! She is wearing her black bracelet as well!!
Response: Awe thanks. I am glad you like her. And thanks for the heart rate
Comment: I totally agree with you on the fun and stressful part, I was fairly nervous about sending my bizarre box! Great minds do think a like, I love the box that you sent!! You incorporated some things that I love (black, book pages, buttons) I couldn't ask for a better surprise. And the goodies that you added in, thank you so much this package totally made my day. Now i'm off to make something fun with the scraps that you sent. A new goal of mine is to use my swap extras as soon as I get them : )
Response: I am so glad you like it. I loved getting mine. Let me know what you make from your scraps. I would love to see pictures.
Comment: Love your coffin, Candace! Everything stayed glued in place and looks great! Especially like the bird skull! Thank you so much!
Response: Yay, I am glad it stayed put going through the mail. I had so much fun with this swap. The clay pieces (skeleton, bat, bird skull) were really one of my first efforts in clay. Thank you for the heart rate
Comment: LOVE what you did! What a great idea with the tape and tissue! The texture is great!!
Response: I was a little worried about how it would look after going through the mail. Glad it made it there in decent shape. Thanks for the heart rate. And thanks for joining in on all this monster mania.
Comment: You are the QUEEN of cute packaging girl! Thank you for all the fun and cool doodads and all the magazine cut outs. I'm going to have so much fun playing with all this stuff! Sooooo, what are we swapping next?!?!
Response: You are so sweet. Thanks. I think we should swap a craft of some sort this time.
Comment: I can certainly understand why you didn't want to give up this book, it is BEAUTIFUL! You did such a wonderful job with it; the colors are so soft and pretty and I just love the whole thing. Thank you so much! :)
Response: I am so glad you like it. Thanks for the heart rate.

i 💓 💌 LUV Mail 📮 ART! 🎨 ~ I â¤ï¸ 💌 📮 🎨
Response: I hope it is worthy to go on your peacock wall. If not, at least you can make your own too.
Comment: Love her ! The texture you added to it is awesome. What did you use to do it? Thank you : ) I missed the Frankenstein and Werewolf swaps. I would have really liked to have joined them :(
Response: I used drywall patch tape from the hardware store. I love the texture it gives to projects. I am sad you missed Frank and Wolfy. Make sure to get the next ones. I love making them. Gets me in the Halloween mood.
Comment: Girl. Puuuuhhhhhhhllllleeeeessssseeee! This was ridiculous. Seriously. So awesome, I am just over the moon excited about the cool butterfly/moth pages...and really everything! Thank you so much for sending such an awesome selection, and in such a cute mail art envie! I â¤ï¸ Swapping with you!
Response: Yay! I am so glad you like what I picked for you. I thoroughly enjoy swapping with you too. What should we do next?
Comment: Thanks Candace! your envelope was opened completely on the right side but everything appears to be intact - there was all kinds of lovely ephemera enclosed! thanks so much for everything, I'll put it to good use.
Response: I am sorry about the opened envelope. Glad it seems to have made it ok otherwise. Thanks for the heart rate!
Comment: Always extra special stuff from you! Thanks for stuffing that large envie full of goodness! I'll be using the Halloween schtuff right away on some swaps I have in the works so extra thanks for Halloween stuff! I love ya Tater~
Response: Got to love Halloween! I was hoping they would show up in time for you to use them. I love swapping with you. I am so glad that you liked what I sent. Hugs!
Comment: I'd love to get just one eye roll, and completely remove the response of "yes, fine, whatever". Thank you for the beautiful envelopes. I can't wait to use them.
Response: LOL, and omit the "okay" that is long and dragged out like you are so bothering them when you ask them to do anything.
I am so glad that you like the envelopes. I hope we can swap again and thanks for the heart rate!
Comment: Thank you so much for such a great swap. I had to open it and I just adore your crafting skills. It rocks as well as the book mark. Thank you again. Hugs, Mona
Response: I had so much fun making it and it was so hard to not keep it for myself. I am going to try to recreate one for me. I just got 4 cheese boxes from a neighbor, so time to make a new one. Plus one for my neighbor for saving the boxes for me. I am glad you like it. Thanks for the heart rate!
Comment: Thank you for the samples. My habit is I say "alright" all the time. I know I say it when I get up because my dog always jumps off my lap when I say it, even though I'm not always getting up when I say it. Lol!
Response: When I say alright I am usually telling my self to get ready to do whatever. So I would be telling myself alright, get ready to get up. And yeah, I would lay there longer. I am not a morning person. Thanks for the heart rate.
Comment: Hi Candace, love the extras and the note especially! My favorite drink is raspberry iced tea. I don't really have a favorite super hero but if I did it would be stormX or superman. Favorite cookie, shortbread - it has to melt in your mouth. Favorite song (right now) hummm..maybe gravity or let it go by James Bay. Happy swapping!
Response: I am drinking raspberry iced tea right now. Thanks for the heart rate and it is so fun to learn and swap with you. Hugs
Yes, scotts valley is gorgeous! I grew up in Brookdale, which is in the redwoods completely. Fort Bragg is beautiful but the weather is strange there. always pretty much cool and foggy. Monterey is perfect but expensive!!
Response: I love northern California. Someday I will live there! Thanks for the rating and the heart.
Comment: Cool handmade card! I love Apples to Apples... haven't played the other two you mentioned but I have heard good things about Killer Bunnies. Bring out your dead was a bday gift. It's super monty python-esque!
Response: I might have to round up that Monty Python game. I am glad that you liked the card. They are so much fun to make.
Comment: HFS! Are you serious right now! OMGosh this HUGE array of vintage lace and trim is to die for! It's like someone's complete collection! I almost feel guilty for taking it, but not really. lol
Candace you really over did this swap. Not only the vintage lace, but this adorable pin cushion you made and the block letters are fabulous! I hope we can swap again! You totally ROCK as a partner!
Response: Only the best for my bestie! Now you have your own vintage lace collection. Maybe when I am not a newbie I could host a pincushion swap. Enjoy!
Comment: Thanks so much for the collage postcard! I love it! I totally understand the English teacher intimidation thing. People worry an English teacher is going to correct their grammar or something lol! And, like you experienced, there's the way English class often ruins reading for people! Glad to hear you overcame it!
Response: I am so glad that you liked the postcard. Being a newbie, I am a little nervous if I am sending items that are acceptable and enjoyed. I had fun making them. I love reading now. I know it sounds cliche but I read the Harry Potter books and fell in love with reading. I do tend to stay in the young adult reading section but my favorite book was in the grown up section, so maybe I should venture a bit more.
Oh and thanks for the heart!
