About me in the visual sense.... I love anything vintage, the older the better for me, but all looks from the 1800's to the 1970's...(OR ANYTHING THAT IS ALTERED BY COMPUTER TO LOOK OLD)...angels, pinups, collage type rubberstamps....Day of the Dead, aboriginal designs, Victorian.
Nature is really my passion. I really adore the following items, botanicals of all types, birds, stamps, dragonflys, bees, butterflies, nests, eggs...metals.
"Campy" images like 50's humor, sexual content does not offend me. Betty Page, etc.
LOVE Victorian trading cards, old advertising stuff...clip art, deco & nouveau style...small old tins...german scrap and beads and bobs. :)
Colors of the world!! I gravitate alot to green & aqua when I create, but I really like ALL COLORS. When I shop for paper I mostly buy the grungy, funky looking papers or old time looking stuff. I generally avoid the cutsie stuff.
Funky skulls, all day of the dead images, calaveras, love all things Mexican art wise.
I sing the blues. I have a cellar band that rocks........Adele, KoKo Taylor, Shemekia Copelandlink, Susan Tedeschi, Debbie Davieslink, Clapton, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Stones, Doors, folk, Scottish, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ray Charles.... Muddy Waters, BB King, Howlin' Wolf, Aretha, and not the least of smooth style kd lang. Jimmy Buffett, reggae, oldies do-wop. We have a vinyl record collection of over two hundred albums. Like most music excluding headbanger & opera. Rap that is respectful is ok.
Paper, paper paper...painted furniture, altered anything, love to glue things on things!! As my adult niece says to me, "Go glue somethin' will ya!"
Watercolor and acrylic painting, watercolor pencils too. I love creating shadow boxes, miniature stuff and creating little worlds.
Sign making with flat driftwood from old boats, lobster pots, shells, beach debris... anything that catches my fancy.
Card making, ATCs, matchboxes, shrines, postcards, glue books.... Assemblage is my new fav. Love Somerset Studio magazine!! Wonderful inspiration be sure to check it out if you haven't, yet.
Love to find/get bits & pieces for use on collage & assemblage. Rusted hardware, broken porcelain doll parts, anything that looks antique and thrift store goodies. Embroidered pieces and millenary items are always welcomed.
Artist Joseph Connell, just the look I prefer! Check him out by googling.
The following badges are compliments of Raven.
For swaps that I have sent please see my website at the top of the page. The flickr site has older stuff and other photos.
Photography is something I have been getting into. I like nature shots more that people shots. I also love to take pictures of doors. Doors are the portals of our lives, in and out we go in life and death.
Just discovered teesha moore on youtube, cool collages in journals.
Married, no kids by choice. Loving the DH 25 yrs plus...New Englander. I get irritated with people who aren't patient with others on swapbot for all kinds of reasons, but I stay out of the fray because I am here to make friends, make crafts, get ideas and swap stuff.
This is not a snarky place, so go snark somewhere else is my motto.
Church of the big blue sky type of spirituality for me. Prayer works and so do the 12 steps.
My totems are the crow and the turtle. Open minded, but please don't try to convert me. I'm happy that you are happy.
Goddesses that are important to me are: Diana, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Sarasvati, & Isis.
My mom was my craft mentor. Clever Lil.

We camp on the beach in the spring, summer, & fall. We are fortunate to travel whenever we can. Mexico is magical. Punta Cana DR beach is my fav with those palms that go to the water... Costa Rica another visit??? I speak enough Spanish to get by and make an ass out of myself. Go to NC on a regular basis.
I have the world's most affectionate cat, Smokey Boo Boo Lucky Cat. Smokes and another pic He was strayed with a broken wrist when he adopted us... thus his name...he's a hugger cat.
We recycle everything we can. Love my garden, my stone walls, the woods across the street and birdwatching. I am a self proclaimed nature girl. I still love that dirty water, too. Boston is my home in the early part of my life.
Disney blech, no likey!
I don't care for the vampire look or bloody stuff. Super cutesy isn't my preference either.
Please, no lip gloss, candles, hand creams, I will just pass these items on. I'm picky about this kind of stuff.
Detest Hersey's brand chocolate, tastes like wax to me! Gross!!
Future swap @blumonkeymama for Mexican PCs, a note to remember.
FLAKED BY @IAmAlwaysIn for CQ Mini Pinata Free Style- I was the host. Angelled by @Amandalee
FLAKED BY @CraftyAnnie for Make Your Own Bubble Mailers. She is my friend, but I never got any package. I was the host on this swap, too. http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/72253
@lovestosew never send a WTA from Inspire Me group, I have since left that group. @daffyd1963 HAS MADE GOOD ON THIS SWAP AFTER MANY MONTHS. She had flaked on the Junk Oracle swap, I had warned the host she had tons of 3's, next time I back out of a swap.
I reuse packaging. Be good to mother earth!
Art & craft is always subjective, if I think you sent me your best work I always rate well! I can't say something isn't ART!
My rating (5.00) speaks for itself. I act like a responsible adult and expect the same from you.
I am in need of vintage jewelry like rhinestones and pearls. Any broken bit, or buttons along these lines will be most welcome.
Mostly what I would welcome is handmade items. I love handmade journals, potholders in red colors, paper, desk items, necklaces that are longer than choker length and pierced earrings. I wear earrings everyday. something created by you. Handmade is always appreciated.....
Any sort of vintage items like the little bits of things found in the bottom of the junk drawer in an antique shop, thrift shop, flea market or case. The small weird items that nobody wants to throw away and hangs onto for some reason. Advert stuff, cereal box prizes from the 50's, mini things, tiny bottles.
I can always use letter sets, address labels and swap cards. I don't know how to make labels on the computer.
Love Starbucks!
Anything by Tim Holtz including Distress Inks and powders. Love Brilliance inks, too. Would really like to get some spray mist products. Send me your leftovers and partial packages and I will smile.
Love tarot images and mystical art, castles, aura, in tune with the earth spiritual is wonderful.
Artchix papers and transparencies, they rock, or any pieces of collage sheet that you may want to share.
Old photos or scanned images of them. Pages from old books that have pictures or foreign languages. Please nothing newer than the 70's.
I do love mystery books, detective stories and historically based books. Also period movies are a secret vice.
MacIntosh or MacPherson tartan pattern fabric would be awesome.
Wooden turtles that have an ethnic edge are my special collectable.
Love blue and white china, including Blue Willow.
Brads, embellishments and anything to do with card making.
This is a stretch for sure, but I love Lancome products, in particular,Ooo La La lipstick .
I use UTU glue stix only and Elmers craft bond in the tube. Any Golden gel products, are great, too.
mushroom My Fav nature pic, outside my front door.
My brother passed on 11/26/2009. Dedicating this section to him, my birdwatching mentor.
Saw two swans feeding in the broken ice in a pond this morning. Very cold here in teens!
Today Dec 11, 2011, I still have a begonia blooming in a wall container out on my deck. I see roses blooming all around the Cape, too. The lovely temps continued and now we are getting more seasonal weather.
We are having a long and wonderful fall. Temps still in the 60's on Oct 21, 2011.
Today I could smell the blooming flowers filling the air as the scent drifted into my window at work. Sometimes nature connects to me so unexpectedly.
Got stung on my lip by yellowjacket. Not fun.
A little sunshine does a soul good...bring it on!
End of April, saw two hawks mating in my oak tree and then part. It was the first glimpse of these hawks down low. I am still trying to get a good "read" on what type they are. Figured out that they are Cooper's hawks and they are terrorizing the neighbors feeder birds.
March- WOW saw two deer at night, backlit by a neighbor's porch light dancing and frolicking, could it be a mating ritual? Was very brief siting since we were driving by. Weeping willows getting yellower, crocus all around. Birds singing earlier in the morning, so happy that the earth is waking up!
1/20/2011---------Another beautiful sight with the moon. In between snow frosted limbs of the oak trees, a faint pastel crescent appeared. It was setting around 7 a.m. It makes me feel so connected in nature.
I have been feeding the crows this winter and am trying to aquaint myself with them by making kissy noises as I throw the food outside. Saw on Nat Geo that they recognize faces. Lots of blue jays and tufted titmice are joining the party on the snowy deck were the crows dare not eat.
I had three deer venture into my yard as we were sitting down to lunch. Two females walked down the slope cautiously, then the buck followed and went all the way across the yard ti find a dangling grape vine to eat.
I haven't updated this part in ages. This morning at 6am I watched the full moon set behind some dark pine trees. Truly a winterscape to behold.
As I update this list and it gets longer, I copy cut & paste to add it to a hard journal.
"Aging is a kick in the crotchety." from It's Not Menopause... I'm Just Like This, Maxine's Guide to Aging Disgracefully
"Be careful ...the toe that you stepped on yesterday, may be connected to the ass you have to kiss today." Buddy Cianci, former Mayor of Providence RI incarcerated for fraud.
I can be an uptight buttoned up Yankee if I am in a professional setting, but most of the time, my sense of humor is bathroom related and I love to laugh.
Where I like to keep ideas that either I want to do or have attempted. Sometimes the swap descriptions have the greatest links! bubble
