Comment: These are great! So descriptive, like I got a little window into your day and week of everyday life. I really like how you did your layout too, using the entire spread on each page. I may need to borrow that! Great doodles too. Thanks for a fun swap!
Comment: You did an awesome job on your zine!!! It is amazing the difference in our experiences with how our states handled the quarantine. We are still wearing masks in many places. I am putting each of these zines into my journals that I have been keeping during Covid. Thank you for participating!!!!
Response: Thank you! ❤️ Loved this zine challenge.. thanks for hosting!
Comment: Thanks for this beautiful start, with the cool informational envie, and the watercolor card, in my favorite color, envie! The whole State of Alaska is a park! LOL! Stay safe and healthy! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: Thanks for the heart! Looking forward to all the beautiful collaborative zines :) what a fun swap!
Comment: i could really vibe with your playlist! but i did not really expect to hear country roads lol. the acoustic version sounds nice too! (i'm familiar with the anthem-like-vibe from the kingsman!) anyway, 10/10! thank you so much!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the music :) The original version of Take Me Home Country Roads is the only one I've heard.. I'll have to listen to some covers of it! It's a song that my young kids LOVE to sing, so it's been on my playlist recently.
Comment: Sorry for the delay in rating. I have been in the hospital again and it is hard to read the emails on my phone.
The 'Little Bunny' book looks familiar. I'll bet that, if I go up into the attic and look through my daughters' children's books, I will find it.
Comment: (So sorry my original rating did not go through and that you had to wait)
Great job on a very thorough collection of data. I love the abstract art that you created with all of the different variables and perfect squares with symbols and colors. This could definitely be put in a frame! The legend is very clever and so detailed, I enjoyed taking my time deciphering all of the symbols. Thanks so much for running this swap. I had never heard of this project before. I have been for years wanting to somehow integrate art with science, and this collecting of data and representing as information graphics is a neat aspect of that. I checked out the book from the library and it gave me a good idea of the myriad ways to represent observations. It has also made me more mindful during and after doing the swap. I want to continue to do this exercise!
Response: Aw, thank you for the lovely comments! I had a lot of fun recording the data and then turning into a work of art :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Comment: Oh. My. GOSH!!! Stacie the rocks you sent are over the moon FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much for the anchor, arrows, 'a', and anchor. You have a very steady hand my dear. You did a great job! Thank you.
Response: Aw, thank you! I'm so glad you love them!! I think I'm hooked on rock painting now and plan to make many more :)
Comment: Thank you very much for all the cute tiny envelopes filled with nice motivational words/quotes and other things. I have always wanted to see how a zine looks like, so I truly appreciate your minizine of lists and enjoy reading it ^_^ Thanks also for the extra tea and journal cards :)
Comment: Oh my goodness, Stacie. You wrote your code letter so neatly. It's beautiful! I'm sorry that you are missing the US but I'm sure there are wonderful things to see and do in England and Germany. Thanks again for such a lovely letter and extra goodies.
Comment: Thank you for the zine! I hope you make it to Budapest and Prague - I was there two years ago, and it was an amazing trip! I also loved the list of American things your British friends had never heard of.
Comment: This zine is so wonderful!! I LOVE the doll! she is awesome! :) my only regret with this swap is that i didn't make us all each others partners so we could get one dollhouse from each person in the swap!!! they are all so fabulous!
Response: This was such a fabulous idea for a minizine --- thanks so much for hosting!! :)
Comment: OK you have the most amazing taste in music. I have a challenge to myself to 'discover' a new artist each month and thank you your email I am set for the next year! Thanks so much for the links .. BRILLIANT SWAP! x
Comment: I really relate to the Sound of Music too. My mom introduced me to Rogers and Hammerstein musicals when I was young. I've been in love with musicals ever since. Thanks for the other songs too. Some I was familiar with and a few I had never heard :)
Thanks again :D
