Hello. A little bit about myself:
I am a librarian.
I try to live an organic life.
I cook and love spending time in the kitchen.
I love receiving postcards from far away places and dreaming that one day I will visit those places (and sometimes I actually do!).
I can stare at maps for hours.
My favest book growing up was The Hobbit. And The 35th of May.
When I travel somewhere far, I take a pebble or a small rock from that place and take it back home with me.
I also send myself postcards from abroad. Yes, I do.
I adore photography (I'm really into bw lately). I watch TONS of movies (I am a total movie-holic). I love listening to music, listening to thunderstorms and rain outside while reading a book inside. Beans on toast. Clouds. Watching the sea (I've always lived by the sea). I love the combination of sweet and salty. Milk chocolate. Traveling. Typography. Old b/w movies. Bird-watching.
I don't like macarons. I know, that's just weird, but they feel weird on my teeth.
I adore custard. And mustard. Not together though.
I love nature, but enjoy living in the city.
Photography, some paper crafts (not scrapbooking), sawing/stitching/embroidery (by hand, I don't have a machine), cooking and baking (which I consider to be a craft too).
I wish I knew how to make collages. And knit. And make amigurumi.
And I love trying new things.
30 Rock, Alphas, Big Bang Theory, Boardwalk Empire, Being Human, Bored to Death, Buffy, Castle, Community, Dexter, Fringe, IT Crowd, Mad Men, Modern Family, MASH, Oz, Parks and Recreation, True Blood, The Office, Wilfred, Wallace and Gromit, ...
Casablanca. Apocalypse Now. Breakfast at Tiffany's. Cabinet of Dr Caligari. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Inglourious Basterds. Band of Brothers and The Pacific (mini series). Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus. Lord of the Rings. Monty Python movies. Stranger than Fiction. Tropic Thunder. Hitchcock's movies. Soderbergh's movies. Superhero movies (but I don't like Superman). Old black and white movies. Even silent movies.
And so so many more... I love DVDs :)
Jazz, classical, blues, ragtime, bluegrass, Chet Baker, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, The Cure, The Decemberists, Nick Cave, Beethoven, Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, dEUS, Band of Horses, Keren Ann, Muse. The National, The XX, Broken Bells, Editors, David Gray, Stateless, Yeah Yeah Yeahs,... I'm eclectic.
Things I was sent and loved: Green & Black's Organic chocolates (especially the peanut one or the butterscotch one), speculoos (although I like it less when it's inside chocolate), Fazer Chocolate Liqueurs Filled WIth Vodka Cranberry (LOVE those!).
I keep adding to these little lists so please do send me new things to fall in love with.
Tastes that I don't like: coconut, cherry, peach, apricot, roibush, coriander, clove, marzipan, liquorice/anise, camomile.

Hello Orit! Thank you so much for the lovely Christmas card. The flapper doodle pair are so cute!! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to acknowledge it--it arrived well before Christmas so I have no excuse. I hope things are well with you! Your birdie friend, Lisa
Thank you for your christmas-card Orit! :-) Have a wonderful wintertime too and I hope all is well and healthy with you and your family!
hugs
Moni
Thank you for our very first Christmascard this year! It started a very good philosophical discussion with Jakob about Christmas, God and Jesus. In the end he stated, that he totally is with the jews when it comes to Jesus - he was a cool guy, but he can't believe he could be the son of god......sometimes he sounds more like 16 than 6...... Wishing you a great Hanukka and a good start into 2012! Hugs, Mello
Orit THANK YOU for the adorable card! I hope you have a WONDERFUL holiday season!! xox
Haha! Here I go again! THIS time I would like to thank you for the pretty Christmas card. (I just love Flapper Doodle.) Season's greetings back to you! ♥
Time to thank you once again, Orit. Thank you so much for the super lovely gift bags you sent me as a birthday surprise! Those bags are just too cute! ♥
Thank you so much for the beautiful postcards you sent for the Etsy WTA! They are absolutely perfect!
Dear sweet Orit! Thank you so much for sending Jakob a Birthday-Package! He keeps blowing the three-tone flute full of confidencec that I can hear what melody it is :o) He loves the sketch-pads, with one exception: He is very irritaded that someone wants to tell him what colour he has to use in a pic.......well, my little boy has a strong will, it shows even in minor things like colouring pics :o) Again the biggest hugs and thanx for thinking of my little guy!
Thank you so much for the cool recycled Papers Notebook you send me for the Etsy WTA - I love it and I love the idea of using reclaimed Paper to make it into a once again useful thing. I guess I will try and make my own Notebooks one of these days...whenever I find the time that is....
Hi there, Orit! Happy mail day for me. Thanks so much for the birthday gift. The treat bags are super cute! bighugs :))
