Comment: Thank you so much for the good luck wishes!! It's awesome that you're retired from the medical field, I'm blessed to be part of it. Christmas is my favorite holiday! Also, thank you SO MUCH for the sticker sheet!! It's actually one I wanted from Stickii (not sure if you've heard of it but it's awesome). Thank you so so much!!!
Comment: Thank you so much for your thoughtful card taking what I celebrate into account- and those pipsticks are some of my favorite! You really made a long 12 hour work day lovely to come home to this. happy holidays!
Comment: WOW WOW WOW!!!! You absolutely l
did make my day!!!! Really awesome vintage ephemera that you sent me, I'm in love with every bit of it! Thanks so very much❣❣❣ps...Ps...I also appreciate very much the vintage postage stamps 😁
Comment: Thanks for the newsy letter - yes, we do have a lot in common! We watched the game until a lady came for her drum lesson in the last quarter. We left it on and turned the sound down as she is not a football fan and wants to talk a bit before her lesson. That way we could keep an eye on the score, but we missed the winning kick! We have no way to record now as we got got rid of our VHS and we get our TV via antennae. I love the pic of your mushroom! We usually only get the big white ones. I like the red mushroom on your envelope. We saw one like that in the wild in NZ. I may have to just write you a letter...
But thank you so much for the swap, the stickers, and the paper. Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thanks so much for the lovely letter and beautiful pansy notepaper. My favourite flower! I will reply as soon as I can. I currently am sick with the flu and sinus and chest infections. As soon as I feel more alive I will write back. Thanks again, Kylie :)

Comment: Thank you for your letter. I enjoyed reading about Wisconsin and your life there. I am excited for you that you get to go to "Antiques Roadshow" and would love to hear all about your [email protected]
Comment: I am rating a 3 because I did not receive mail art. I did receive an envelope with goodies inside with one scribble drawing on the outside, but as I made very clear in the swap description the mail art for this swap needed to have effort put into it and cover the envelope. What I got did not meet the swap requirements. I contacted Deb to let her know that I would be rating down because of this reason, so that if she had a reason or wanted to try again to raise the rating that could be done. Instead of suggesting any of this, she said that I was attacking her art and that having to choose a sliver sharpie to draw on a blue envelope was a lot of effort. She continued to say how insulted and disgusted she was with me instead of at all acknowledging what I had told her. Instead she focused on constantly calling me judgmental, a poor hostess, and that I should be shameful. I was honestly shocked by her very immature responses and fully regret allowing her to be part of my swap because of the way she acted. While she tried hard to make me feel guilty for contacting her about this swap, I do not. Because she did not meet the requirements and then verbally attacked me and pushed all blame on me. Acting as she did is very inappropriate and I could suggest to anyone hosting a swap similar to this one, if she attempts to join in think twice about allowing it. I sincerely hope you have an attitude change and can enjoy swaps once more without having to tear down others if you mess up.
The snowman was NOT colored in. The majority of the envelope was NOT decorated. I do not care if you chose to draw instead of anything else, I care about how it was executed. Your envelope did not meet the requirements. I have given out two 3 ratings since 2011 and this is one of them. I do not believe that you need to be an artist to do mailart but you do need time and effort. I am sorry that you are so angry, but I am not going to rate you higher just because you lash out at me. I do agree that swapping should be fun not mean. It is not fun to receive a swap that does not meet requirements and it is mean the way that you spoke to me in the messages. So please look in the mirror instead of this constant pointing fingers at everything else.
IF ANY MAILART HOSTS FEEL UNEASY: feel free to message me and request pictures of the envelope. I will be more than happy to let you decide for yourself.
Response: I stand by my comment of a judgemental hostess. Because my mail art was drawing rather than gluing and stamping, this is the reason she feels it was not art. I chose a snowflake font for the address, printed it with a blue pattern on white paper, cut out the the snowball label, Chose a deep blue paper and drew a snowman (we had been besieged with snow) Filled the snowman with repetitve patterns of blue, black and silver and then covered the envelope with doodled snowflakes that she calls scribbles, or maybe she calls it all scribbles. Yes, I lashed out, but how should one feel when they excitedly share with someone and are insulted. I've decided to give up swapping after 3 years. I had thought that I would not rate her as hostess, fearing it would be vindictive, but I've decided I would not want anyone else to feel as sad as I have because of this. Swapping is to be fun, not mean. DO NOTICE, THIS MAY HAVE BEEN THE FIRST SWAP SHE HOSTED!
Your package made me smile! Smile and smile again! Thanks for personalizing the gift and I love all of the vintage cards. My husband actually grew up in Claremore, ok so that was too sweet. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
Comment: Big smiles I had yesterday opening an envelope of fun things. Thank you so much for the cute sticker, note cards, recipe cards and note papers. I like it all especially the cute fruit stickers. :)
Comment: Hi Deb,
LOVE your snail envie and love that you drew the whole thing! You had almost zentangled some of the elements of the envie--really creative and cute. Thank you for creating something special for me.
Comment: it says in the swap requirements that it has to be more than 3 pages there is only 2 =[. you only wrote a sentence for each prompt :( you didn't write much at all. i'm sad because i was looking forward to hearing from you. =[ please if you join this swap again can you make sure you are writing long letters? the prompts are there to get you talking, not just to answer in 1 or 2 sentences.
Response: Sorry you were disappointed. I did not realize that I had been brief. My only defense is that I was very sick the last month (flus, viruses, and Strep throat) so I did have difficulty getting my letters out on time.
Comment: I love the old postcard thank you for adding it! I would love to know the history of the people who sent it. I am always on the lookout now for them and they seem to be hard to find around here. xox
Response: One of the reasons I love vintage items. I can write little books in my head about their origins. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: I received you envelope Deb, it was so nice : ) Also, the valentines you sent me! I have been drooling over those vintage ones. I only received one and that was several years ago here on swap bot, but now i have 3! It will be going into my smash book. Thank you again!
Response: Glad you enjoy the vintage items! My favorites. Scan them and then share them.
Comment: Deb, it has been a wonderful 2013 having you in my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed your letters and always looked forward to the next one coming, and I look forward to enjoying your friendship in this new year. ♥
Response: We'll have a great 2014, writing to each other
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing in this swap with me. I really enjoyed your board and I repined some too. The "How to Crochet with Pop-Tops" into flowers is something I am going to try. Thank you for that idea.
I hope you have a great holiday season. blessings,
Comment: Haha Deb! I have you for the Pen Pal Galore Swap and I have written the letter but not got it ready to send, and then your letter arrived! So, I will include another letter for you! Thanks for the fun letter.
Comment: Hi Deb!
I really enjoyed your letter and the photos you included. I'll definitely write back and look forward to some of that vintage stationery! I have TONS myself! Your grandkids are precious. Thanks so much for the lovely postcard, too. The postmark is 1911! It's in amazing shape.
Comment: Hi Deb, thank you for your letter, your handwriting was not so bad. I think handwriting adds to the character of any letter :) I will enjoy writing your reply, and although I can't promise it right now, it will be in the post before December. Take care xx
Comment: Hi Deb! Thank you so much for your letter, beautiful stamps and unique stationary/font! I also enjoyed the cute note letters you enclosed, they will definitely be put to good use! I also have a soft spot for all of God's little creatures, even the not-so-beautiful and cute ones! I keep a garden to attract butterflies and ladybugs and have a bird feeder, and I have 2 cats, a dog and 3 goldfish as pets. Take care! <3
Comment: I received today your resend. The swap said that you had to make a postcard with vintage things, and it wasn't what you resend (firts time you sent a vintage postcard and second time you sent a modificated postcard) I don't like to give a bad ratings, and because you have resent it I'm giving you a 5, but please, read the swap requeriments before join a swap next time. I know that you are a great swaper (I have swaped with you before), and you don't deserve a 3 :)
Comment: I've got a very filled profile so maybe you could take its cue and add pins different from each other, rather than basing the entire board on my like for leopard print. It also would be nice if you had added a little description on what you've put just to clarify why did you, 'cause I don't know where you've could read a few things of the pins you've added. Anyway, I really liked the pictures of the cats & of the pandas and the one of my favourite owl. Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for being so nice and thoughtful! The letters and items I received from you are great, and I will definitely reply. I hope you will not feel offended if pass on the vintage postcards? For some reason I don't feel good around antiquities... I hope there were more swappers like you, thank you!!!
Response: Not at all. I won't be offended. Look forward to hearing from you.
Comment: SO CUTE!! I absolutely LOVE your drawings--the little seahorse and fish are amazing! My hubby even said, "those really have depth!" I am so thrilled with the envelope AND the cute cute cute stickers inside. Those mermaids are just amazing and the little fish will also come in handy. Many thanks for creating something so lovely just for me!
Comment: Hi Deb - thank you ever so much for the lovely cat themed items you sent me. The pink envelope is so me! It was lovely to gain a little insight into your life, good luck with your new crochet projects - have fun with those!
Comment: The fun was totally in figuring out the order of the pages! Silly printers. =) Thank you! Writing back as soon as I clear my plate some. Hope all is well! Send us whatever chilly temperatures and snow you have. We hit 50*F today. :/
Comment: Thank you so much! You sent so many little things!! I loved the notecard and those beautiful little vintage Valentines!! Wow and those postcards, Ive never gotten any from that long ago, these are real neat collectors!!! Your deco tape envelope was super cute too,...I really loved the one with the trains!!!!
Comment: Thank you Deb for the letter and card! I will be replying to you today with my answers to your questions! Im so pleased that we can get to know each other. Hope you had a great christmas [and didnt have to keep little grayson out of too much trouble ;)]
Comment: Thank you so much for the postcards. I really appreciated the vintage greetings. If you have more of these types of cards to share, would you like to do a private swap? I have many vintage cards from 1900 through the 70s and modern card depending on what you are interested in. Elyse
Response: Elyse! I would love to send vintage postcards for pre-1930 cards or unused postcards! Let me know!
Comment: Thanks for the PC. Love the antique toys and ornaments. I think I even still have a few ornaments like the ones on the card. Didn't put them on the tree this year as I down sized to a smaller fake tree and some of my breakables got broke by the cats last year.
Comment: Hi! Thanks so much for the lovely vintage Chirstmas pc! Good for you on getting your tree up! I have high hopes for doing that this weekend, have a long list! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I hear where you are coming from with your proverbs verse. I am too a talker, I sometimes say the wrong thing, or the right thing at the wrong time. Perhaps I should from now on meditate on that verse . thank you for your card. Have a great Christmas holiday.
Comment: Hey Deb! Thank you for the card and I'll definitely be using the 1940's new year card :) My plans for Christmas is going to Disneyland with my boyfriend. We both never have gone with significant others nor have experienced it during Christmas. I normally spend it with my family and so does he, and we figured since our schedules are so busy we would enjoy one another. I hope your plans for the holidays goes well. Take care and thank you again! - Florence
Comment: Thank you Deb for the lovely things you chose to send me. Funny thing: I just finished writing your letter for the "quick long letter swap" when your envelope arrived! You'll be hearing from me soon! Kirsty
Comment: I totally loved the note and the postcards were so cool! I love old postcards. Where did you get these? Anyway... thanks so much. Yes... we have been in a few swaps together. You are a great partner.
Response: I collect antique postcards. I scan them and share them. I get them all over. Auctions, online auctions, estate sales...
Comment: I got your package today and I love it! At first I thought the newspaper was for stuffing the box, but then I felt something inside. I wouldn't call it entirely useless though, because it is very nice to look at :-). Thank you!
Response: Glad you liked everything. Yes, I thought he was nice to look at.
Comment: Hey! :) Thanks for your comment and the quote :) I really hope that I'll have more stationary, although I should stop swapping, as it costs too much, in addition I'm afraid of that my partners don't get my parcels :(
Comment: Thanks for EVERYTHING you sent! I enjoyed reading about you and can't wait to try the tea and am excited about all of the stamps you sent! I also love the vintage postcards! That's so cool that you're able to turn your passion into something you can live off of! =)
Comment: Oh my, thank you for your lovely package! I almost died when I opened the EOS lipbalm! I always wanted one, it really made my day ^^ thank you, and an update - the package I sent you was returned to me today, there was something wrong apparently. I will resend it Sunday morning. sorry!
Response: Glad you liked everything. I look forward to the package arriving. Thanks.
Comment: i loved everything that you picked - my favourite has to be the picture on the postcard and the colorfull letter - so cool :) - i'm writing a responce, but it may take a while - never could miss the oportunety of writing a letter :D
Comment: What a truly WONDERFUL "from the heart" 20-page booklet you made for me! I really enjoyed reading about you and seeing your picture on the front cover. You put a lot of work into this and it is something I will cherish, and be inspired by to perhaps try something like it myself. You deserve many more hearts than just 1. Thank you for making my week!
Comment: I got my package today and it wasn't until I started unwrapping things that I figured out what it was. Fun choices and again it is a small world. I am originally from Wisconsin and I couldn't figure out why I was getting a package from Shawano! I used to go to the fair there, sometimes I judged 4-H cats.
Comment: I received your letter yesterday. First off, it was such pretty stationary. I feel bad for my partner because I hand wrote mine and my writing is a mess. It didn't even cross my mind to type it!
I love your tips and ideas. I also purchased a beautiful leather cover for mine. It was pricey on Amazon but I figured the kindle was free so splurge on a nice cover. I had Amazon Prime for the first 3 months (gift with purchase of Kindle) and my husband said for my birthday he'd get it for me again. I'm really looking forward to 11/5 LOL
100000000000's of free books THAT way too!
Thanks so much for your beautiful letter. :)
Response: Glad you liked the letter. Enjoy your Kindle
Comment: Thanks so much, Deb. My immediate favorites were the purple feathers and....now I don't recall as I'm away from home but the neat thing was that I immediately used several of the items you sent in someprojects I was workingon. It's so nice to be exposed to things not available in my location or that I wouldn't normally choose; for example the pink glitteres heart, flower shape etc. were just the thing for a PAris atc I was making. Thanks again.
Comment: 9/23: I am amending this swap rating to add a heart. It was my first swap in years and I overlooked and assigned a 5 before I actually received the package. I just got the envelope today. I assume it was some fault on the postal service as it's post marked twice. Thanks for the vintage postcards. Really cool.
Comment: Yay! Thank you so much! I really enjoyed your package. Especially the address labels and the cards (they are cute!). And the koala purse... Lol! I can't wait to go to some shop and get this out of my bag to pay. I guess it will cause a sensation!
