Comment: What an interesting set of squares. I am hoping to make some projects with these soon. I am currently getting ready to move. Not sure when the move will be yet but probably by the end of the year.
Response: OH man, moving is such a chore! I hope the blocks come together for you in project. I love having scrappy quilt blocks to work with. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I love this block. Thanks for the red stripe fabric too♥️♥️♥️
Response: Did you get a batch of this fabric from the monthly Keepsake club? I love that you told me about that and I could join. I have been getting so many fun 1930's prints! Thank you for the heart.
Response: I am glad you liked them. Thank you for the heart. I have such a huge stash of batiks now.....but that didn't stop me from buying a basket full at an estate sale this weekend! The lady must have been a fellow quilt-loving, batik-loving, fabric-stashing person like me....or others of us!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful mug rug! I love the pretty gold thread you used to quilt it! Also, thank you for the great fabric and the cute little snippers!! This was a wonderful surprise in my mailbox!!
Response: Oh so happy you liked it. Thank you for the heart.
Response: oh, I am glad you liked it....I think variety in polka dots can be hard to find so I am happy to find prints that are circles, spots, specks and blobs...they work for me too. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Received today....beautiful embroidered applique block! I love it! Thank you Dottie for everything. I may try embroidery with an oak leaf block. I found an envie full of vintage Work Basket patterns that have fall leaves and some other good patterns. So charming!
Response: So glad you liked it...that lady bug just seemed to be the right added touch. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I love this combo sooo much! I think this one will have to go in the middle of my quilt. Thank you also for the extra polka-dotted fabric!
Response: so happy you liked it...I did too, made one for myself. I would love to see a picture of your quilt when done. I wonder if you are like me....with zippy bags full of quilt blocks waiting to be assembled into the finished product. When and IF I get to retire I will have lots of projects to complete - lots of zippy bags to empty after my years of gathering from swap-bot. Thank you for the heart
Comment: Thank you :) Update: To answer your question, these are not squared up to 4 1/2" They are a good 1/4" off on one side. The extra fabric square you sent is 5" Took a week to get here. Somehow the envie got wet but all is intact and not damaged. I could tell by the wrinkly paper and the purple paper bled inside the envie. It hasn't rained here in so long. Mail continues to be so slowwww. lol It made it here though. :) Don't worry about sending anything else.
Response: Did I make these the correct 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 or did I make them 5 x 5? If I did them wrong then i will be sending you another batch the correct size. With hosting so many swaps I tried to go by memory on what size to make these and made them the size of the charm swaps, not the 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 they should have been. Please keep these if they are the wrong size and I will get the right size in the mail by Monday the 20th. Thank you.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful butterfly keychain and the sewing machine charm! It is awesome! I wish I could give more hearts! You deserve a bunch of them! Have a wonderful day!
Response: glad it arrived, and thank you (as always) for the heart
Comment: Thanks, I really didn't know there are so many darling little prints.
Response: I know!!! Those weren't even 1930's prints either. There are lots of pretty small floral prints in 1930's fabrics that I love. The ones I sent in this swap were just ones I have gathered recently in my trips to JoAnns.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely mug rug! I love the colors and the blue really added an extra pop. Thanks!
Response: glad you liked it...I have to do a lot of my sewing by regular old machine or by hand so sometimes my quality isn't as "finished" as projects done on other kinds of machines. Thank you also for the heart.
Comment: Very nice mug rug! The monkey fabric is cute and the other one will be great for backgrounds.
Thank you very much!
Response: A lot of swappers these days have the machines that do embroidery and applique but right now I do not have one of those so I am still doing old school. thank you for the rating and the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the nice block and the extra. Have a great holiday season.
Response: glad you liked it
You have a healthy and happy Christmas and New Years. I will be praying for you and yours, you have been thru so much recently. Remember, I love you and Jesus loves you more. I will be back swapping after the first of the year.
Comment: Oh my gosh, what a lucky person I am to be your partner! This really made my day and the happy buzz I've got. I sit and knit all day so I can now sip my tea with a giggle. Actually this is a gray neighborhood - all old people and no kids - so it's nice to feel the holiday some. Thank you!
Response: You are very welcome. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful party hats block and coordinating fabric! I love it and so did my hubby. Blue is his favorite color. Have a blessed day and continue to stay safe!
Response: thank you, dear for the heart...I liked that block too, the colors turned out pretty good.
Comment: Thank you for the pretty square - love the fabric. And I love the card you sent from FINCA.
Response: I have had that card for some time...it is the last one of a set. I am excited to gather enough of these blocks in 1930's prints to make a quilt....love those cute little animal prints. thank you, for the heart.
Response: You are welcome. Hey, I have been praying about retiring soon and I keep thinking about the 1930's fabrics I have gathered over the years and how I am excited to cut that stuff up and make quilt blocks! LORD WILLING, of course. thank you, dear for the heart
Comment: Great blocks! love the colors!! and thank you for the extra green fabric (my fav.color!)
Response: I was hoping you would like the blocks....I probably should have made them from green for you but I made sure to send some pretty green extra's instead. Our other partner got green blocks with purple extra's. Green used to be my favorite but now I am into aqua more...with a splash of green and purple on the side. I guess I am getting flashy in my old age. swap-on!
Comment: Thanks Perkl8r for all the hassle of getting this to me! It was my fault for not getting my address reset here properly! I love the blocks, especially the glimmery silver fabric! Thanks a million!!
Response: No worries. Glad it finally arrived.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful block and extra fabrics! I haven't been able to find any true 30's print in peach. Actually of the stores that have opened back up so far I haven't found any 30's prints but I'm going to keep looking. Have a wonderful day!
Response: THANK YOU for rating. I sent 3 packages out at one time a couple weeks back, and you are the first to rate. I was getting worried that something happened to them in the mail. I had a little trouble deciding what was peach and what was salmon and pink and orange....thank you for the kind words and the heart. I would imagine that a pale orange would work perfectly if you are unable to find what looks to be peach to you. swap-on and stay safe
Comment: I love the bright purple you picked for the tulip! I was surprised to see that you hand stitched your block, you have very nice stitching.
Response: Well, we are getting ready to move and I have very little room to get to my sewing machine so I find myself doing a lot of hand sewing. I am looking forward to our move and having a bigger space for my sewing. I loved the fabric too. I have that in other colors and may make more tulips in them. Thank you for the heart, and the kinds words.
Comment: I absolutely love it!! The colors are perfect in my main room (sewing, craft, and living room!) so I'm going to hang it in a place I can see it every day! thanks so much!!
Thanks for your beautiful work!
Response: oh my, I think my head will explode with all your kinds words. I am so happy it arrived and that you liked it.
Thank you for the heart.
Comment: What a great package. So much fun stuff. I 💕 all the pieces of fabric. The pincushion and iron on vintage ladies are the bomb.💕 Where did you find the jingle bell music fabric? It is so fun ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Response: JOANN;s has the jingle bells fabric I used for wrapping paper. Show Me Quilting in Raytown Missouri has some of the other fabrics I sent. I am happy you liked the package. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely selection of leaf prints. Quite a few I have never seen before. :)
Response: oh good....I bought some new ones, and dug out a few old ones but if I were to go thru my stash I wonder how many different leaf patterns I would find. You don't think about it too much until you go looking for a specific print type...thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the mug rug and bonus piece of fabric!
Response: and thank YOU for the heart! If I didn't mention it in the note with the swap package, the strip of black and silver fabric might stick to your iron if you don't cover it first with a cloth....I have used that print several times before and always had to cover it or turn it over for ironing. I just wanted to be sure to let you know to avoid a mess on the iron, and messing up the mug rug.
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful purple quilt blocks. AND for the purple polka dotted fabric. I will be on a three day quilters retreat in August. Putting these blocks together will be one of my projects.
Response: Oh, that sounds like fun. I have never been on a quilting retreat before...I think I would love it! Have fun and thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks so much for the charm squares. You have been very generous in these fabric swaps.
Response: ...if you see a pattern in the amount of fabric I send, it is just a sign of my problem...A HUGE FABRIC ADDITICTION. I enjoy sharing. It makes me happy. Thank you for the kinds words and the heart
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome word charms! I love them!
Response: You are welcome. I love gathering these word prints but haven't yet decided what all I'll make with them. We do have a swap set up for a mini art quilt using at least one word print. swap-on!
Comment: Thanks for the charms -- and the extras which were polka dots. They'll get used very soon as I'm about to make a second "totally dottie" quilt like the first so I'll have pair that are alike but aren't the same arrangement of colors and dots.
Response: I am glad you liked everything. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks for the great fabric charms Dottie, the ones I sent you should get to you any day now. I'm pretty sure I sent you a charm of that same measuring tape fabric! Haha! :-)
Response: Thank you for the heart. I love the unusual prints like that. I have one new fabric I bought that is charger cords like you use for your phone...so clever. I will look forward to getting your fabric too. Our mail has been a little slow due to bad weather.
Comment: These little houses are really cute!!! I love 💗 💗💗 the word fabric. Thanks Dottie
Response: Thank you for the heart. I love the word prints and have begun to gather a large selection. I have some cool fabric with old document prints like accounting ledgers, shipping documents, etc. Love 'em. I thought the Bordeaux house turned out pretty cool with the word right at the top of the roof. Enjoy!
Comment: Thank you for the great 30's pieces and those extra kids....I love them! Love the sewing fabrics too! I was very excited to see you as my assigned partner too because your swaps are always lovely. Thanks for the sweet note :-)
Response: Oh so glad they arrived and you liked them. I think of you a lot...one time I especially remember you SPOILING me with some beautiful 1930's fabrics....American Jane. I haven't used most of them, but I will some day. thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thanks Dottie! Love the rooster in the window and the couple in the window.
Response: me too, those were 2 of my favorites, I sent 2 different ones to my other partner, they were nice too but I loved how the accent colors on the bride and groom came out, and the rooster is so cute! thank you for the hear
Comment: Lovely blocks! Thanks for hosting this swap - can't wait to have enough to put them together! Also the extra block is most welcomed!
Response: thank you for everything, kind words and the heart! I am seriously thinking of doing a bow-tie block where all the bowties are black and white prints with bright colors on the other 2 pieces.....what do you think? Do you think that would make a cool quilt? thinking about making it for my husbands 70th b-day coming up later this year.
Comment: Thanks for two squares. I've decided to put them back to back, sew them together around t\he edge and use as a trivet.
Response: I just sent out the simple for summer swap and I don't think you have it yet. I think the bag with the peppers was for the "made with summer fabric" Fabric Fanatics swap. I had you for 3 of the most current swaps. thank you for the heart
Well, if sewing them together makes you happy then I am happy too.
Comment: Thank you for the Very nice trade. Had accident and haven't been on here much. Will be fine have LOCKED FINGER, possible cSurgery. I'lli just read your profile and felt a bond with you, you sound like So much fun. You deserve the heart, because you have so much heart. Best ishes to you My friend, I hope I get you as a swap partner again. Sincerely, Marcia
Response: yikes, please heal quickly. I hope you liked and can use the wrist bag.
Comment: Thank you for the quilt blocks and spare. You do beautiful work. So colorful. Love how they "fit together" to make a design. I will have to try that some time. I also love making these blocks. Thanks again.
Response: I first learned how to make these blocks years ago in swap-bot land and have been hooked on them ever since. thank you
Comment: Thanks for the flowers and the extra block. I'm going to collect them until the swaps ae done and make a quilt of them with stems and leaves. Not the kind of quilt I usually make but I think it will be fun.
Response: oh good, I am glad you like these blocks enough to continue.
Comment: Beautiful blocks Dottie.....The documents fabric and lemons fabric are awesome..... As a matter of fact - all blocks are awesome! :-)
Response: glad you liked them. I treated myself to another quarter yard cut of a little bit different document print from Show-Me Quilting in Raytown. I love that shop. They have good quality fabric and lots of beautiful prints I don't see other places. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much for all the wonderful quilt squares! No apologies are ever necessary. Life happens to all of us. Thank you for all you do for us getting these swaps set up and running!
Response: Thank you Diane for your kind words and the heart. In the summer time I work a lot of overtime and it gets in the way of my swapping....pesky overtime!
Comment: Not one but two pincushions! Thanks so much Dottie. Both are cute in their own way. A great addition to my growing pincushion collection.
Response: I know they probably aren't as nice as the one you sent, you do beautiful neat work. Sometimes I have the creative ideas in my head but getting them done in the fabric isn't always as good as I imagine. Thank you for the kind words and the heart.
Comment: thank you for what qualifies has a mini-place mat. LOL I love it! It's set up on my computer desk for use, and it'll be used frequently.
Response: "mini-place mat"....hum, yes, I guess that fits. Never thought of it that way. I have lots of mug rugs I have received thru swaps that are larger than the normal 6x9 because they were made to include room for a plate of cookies. Sorry I didn't send the plate or the cookies. Maybe next time. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: You really didn't have to send extras, I don't fuss about exact mailing dates, especially when it's someone who is a very good swapper as you are. But I'm not complaining because theyr'e lovely block. Thanks.
Comment: Thank you for the charm squares and extras. Since I like to sew for children this sort of print is always useful. In the high 90's here today. I'm not quite ready this much heat --- in MAY !!!! Thanks again
Response: it is very hot in KC, MO too. Today is the first of June and we have already been having July and August weather. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the psychedelic mushroom mug rug and the charms, I love the wood print one.
Response: "psychedelic" too funny...I guess it does look like that when you think about it. I have several different wood/branch/log prints that I am collecting for a project soon. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Thank you so much. Looking at the squares I saw orange in 2 and then again orange in 3 - ?? The light bulb went off in my head and I laid them on the table. What an Over Achiever !!! LOL !!! I was so impressed. Every way I turned them, it was like a jig saw puzzle. I've never thought to do something like that. What an excellent quilter you must be. Can't thank you enough.
Response: oh my, my head is huge now....I love to do that with my blocks, even if it is only a couple strips in each block that match, they form a cool pattern when put together in a foursome. Enjoy, and thank you for all the kind words!
Comment: Thank you, Dottie, I was just starting my snowballs and was inspired to get them make --although not in the mail until after Xmas. I love looking at snowball quilts but making these convinces me that it's not going to be one of my scrap quilt projects in the near but I've just convinced myself this is not going to be one of my scrap-quilt projects in the near future. I prefer larger and slightly less fussy blocks.
Response: thank you for the heart dear. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I look forward to swapping with you in the coming new year.
Comment: Dottie, I am so pleased with this little quilt. I will hang it in my studio. I’m worried that my partner didn’t like what I sent. It isn’t as nice as yours.
Response: oh how sweet for you to like it well enough to hang on your studio wall. I'm sure your partner liked what you sent. And if for some reason she doesn't like it, which I can't imagine, then just offer to redo, that's all you can do at this point. I doubt it will come to that. Thank you for the heart. I hope we get to swap again real soon.
Comment: Such a lovely lady! Your envie certainly warmed my heart today! (it is a snowy day here!) Thanks again and many hearts to you as always. The iron on transfers were great as I don't have much Christmas themed stuff in my collection!
Response: Thank you for the heart and I am happy you liked the transfers.
Response: If my second attempt to get this to you doesn't arrive by Tuesday the 10th, please let me know. I corrected the address and sent back out this week. Thank you for rating in advance of receiving....honestly it is on it's way. 10-16-17 the package came back to me again. I don't know why this time. I am starting all over with a brand new envelope. I used the address on the swap page. Please forgive and know that I will get this package to you if I have to walk it over there myself. I am happy that it finally arrived. whew, that one was a tricky one.
Comment: Well you sure sent some lovely items for this swap! (the steampunk stuff was right up my alley!) many many hearts to you for this one! 💔 â£ï¸ 💕 💞 💓 💗 💖 💘 ðŸ’
Response: you are very welcome. My husband and I both love steampunk stuff too and he has some goodies accumulated for art projects he wants to make in the future...he shared from his stash. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: I LOVE this tote bag!!!! An Elvis tote bag....how perfect is that!! Can't wait to use it on my next shopping trip and I know I will hear lots of Oooohs and Aaaahhhs when people notice it! Thank you so much for making this a special swap! :-))
Response: you are very welcome, it was lots of fun for me to make. Thank you for the heart.
Comment: thanks so much for the pretty bag. It will come in handy to carry my handwork for when waiting at Drs. Offices.
eta thought I had given a heart, but saw that I did not. so now you have one!!
Response: I am glad it arrived, and thank you for rating. Ah, thank you, you know I'm spoiled. Thank you for the heart. That little bag was fun to design and make, and it is a one of a kind creation. That sounds fancier than it really is. Enjoy.
Comment: Thank you so much for the appliqued wonky house block...you did an amazing job on it, and I just LOVE the fabrics you used...talk about perfect choices!
I also want to thank you for your communication...great communication is always appreciated! THANK YOU!
Response: wow, now I feel much better. I loved some of the fabrics in that block, especially the sand with footprints in it, and the brick print as well. Thank you again for being so understanding and for the heart!
Comment: Wow! I love it. I don't have the patience for hand applique. This block will become a center piece for something - a bag? - a pillow? a blankie? - not quite sure yet. Thank you.
Response: I am relieved that it arrived and really happy that you liked it. Purple and orange are not two colors I would have normally put together but I guess it worked on this. Thank you for the kind words and the heart.
Comment: It was great hearing from you. WE have a lot in common: I've been married 44 years also, have 3 grandsons, also dislike summer for the same reasons. I hope you come to see the Pacific ocean someday. It is truly magnificent! Thanks for the post cards you sent. Happy swapping !
Response: We do have a lot in common. Don't you just love being a grandma! Thank you for the heart. Maybe someday my husband and I will get to see a real ocean.
Comment: Hi Dottie! I love the FQ selection that you sent. Thank you very much for the extra fabric! I especially like the tone-on-tone roses. I have a project in mind for that piece! Happy Sewing and Happy Swapping! Valerie
Comment: What a blessing it was to read your letter. I enjoyed it greatly and finding we have things in common. :) Also, thank you for enclosing the Jane Austen notecards! I had not seen them before and look forward to using them. Blessings to you!
Response: ...and blessings to you as well. Thank you for the kind words and the heart!
Comment: thank you for the lovely pin cushion. You couldn't have made anything better. I have one pin cushion and it is always in the wrong room. ha ha I have a large island in my kitchen where I cut things out, then I have a small sewing room where my sewing machine is located, now I will be able to have a pin cushtion next to my sewing machine as well as the one on my island. I have sticking them in my shirt till I got back to the cushion. LOL thank you. Marcia
Response: oh so glad I did good! Thank you so much for the kind words and the heart!
Comment: I love the apron! The fabric colors and prints along with the little applique bird is gorgeous, just beautiful! The package was waiting for me when I arrived back home. Thank you for the wonderful, fun apron.
Response: Thank you for the kinds words and for the heart! I hope your trip was lots of fun!
Comment: Thank you so much for both beautiful boats and they're both so festive it's like one is out watching the stars and the other out twatching the fireworks! And thank you also for the extra fabric I indeed might use it to make them a little bigger I don't know yet exactly how I will be putting my blocks together but that'll come in handy. Sorry for the late rating I was actually on vacation and I had a nautical experience. I took a boat tour through some channels and through a Lock to a lake, it was fun!
Response: Yikes I am jealous. Your nautical experience sounds like lots of fun! Thank you for the kind words and the heart.
Comment: It's beautiful! And extra special because it is hand sewn by you :) I love the. Tiny blocks and yes, I LOVE reproduction vintage prints. The print with the little squares and butterflies is so sweet.
Response: I am so happy you liked it. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Dottie, I love you and your post office. They almost never cancel your stamps and....shhh, don't tell... I reuse the stamps. Of course the quilt block will get used when they all add up to a quilt.
Response: I remember you telling me that one time about the postage stamps. Enjoy!
Comment: This is so beautiful and artistic! What a nice combination of pieced, hand sown and embroidery. Something for. Me to inspire towards as I continue learning quilting and embroidery. Thank you! And thank you for the embroidery patterns, that is so sweet of you! I plan on using it for this series for sure if/when one of the blocks is for birds! Hint hint! Thanks for the nice swap.
Response: I am so happy you liked the block and the embroidery patterns. Yes we will have a bird as our fourth block. Next block will be a fish. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Oh my goodness what a great package. LOVED ALL the fabric. I keep looking at it to see which is my favorite but can't pick just one. AND the cross pin cushion - what a clever idea. I could go on and on about what a great package - thanks so much. Happy Easter!
Response: Oh great I am so happy you got the package and liked it. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: OMG! Beautiful! I love it! Hearts to you for your craftsmanship and hearts to your husband for sharing his stash!!!
Response: You my dear are very welcome. We were so happy to find that you like Steampunk things too. That gave us another excuse to play in his stash of Steampunk goodies. Enjoy and thank you for the kind words and the heart!
Response: ooops, I haven't sent mine yet, maybe it is your other partner that should get the great rating.....3-1-16 thinking that my blocks have actually arrived now and thank you for letting this kind rating stand as is. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for sending two red 9-patches. I look forward to the whole quilt. A couple of days ago I went through a pile of quilts and pulled out a B&W star quilt with blocks from one of the groups (I don't rememer which) but I realized what a pleasure it is that about half the blocks were made by others.
Response: That is fun. I especially like when the senders name is somewhere on the block for future reference. Thank you dear for the heart!
Comment: â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤ Hearts all around for you!! I love my heart block so much because it is so different and so special! Thank you so, so much! Sorry my rating is late! Thank you again! â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
Response: You my dear are too generous. thank you for the 5 and the heart. I love making these blocks by thinking "outside" the box and sometimes that takes my old brain some time to think thru. Enjoy!
Comment: Thank you for the French text! When I'm feeling "studious" I'll see what words I remember. Most likely this will either become part of my b&w triangle quilt OR as one of the fabrics in a pillow made with a panel of the character Gorjuss! Thanks for the extra charms! Again-that Nancy Drew one is just the best-maybe i'll work it and the others you sent into a bookmark or mug rug for me.
Response: I took French in school too and only remember a little, mostly songs we sang and poems. I am happy you liked the package, enjoy!
Comment: Beautiful, Dottie -- really beautiful! I love the batiks and the 5x5s and the little book, and I'm fascinated by your quilted piece with the fish in the quilting-- I assume your sewing machine can be programmed to do that, but I've never seen it done before. That would be a great tool for me to use on some of my seashore themed quilts. Thanks a bundle.
Response: I bought this machine at an auction this year for $5.00. It is a 1950's machine and does several cute stitches like that. I love the machine as it is the same age as me. hehehe! I did not know that machines could do fancy embroidery stitches "way-back-then"! Ha! Well I am so very happy you liked the mug rug, I really had a great time making it. Thank you dear for the 5 and heart!
Comment: Oh my goodness - what a great surprise in my mailbox today. Thanks for everything. LOVED it all. The buttons were beyond cute. AND the potholders - I love Peanuts. So sad that I missed the Halloween show last night. Great package - thanks again! :)
Response: I am happy that you are happy! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: I LOOOOVE my pumpkin house! it is so cute. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Response: You are very welcome. It is one of two I made like that. The other one is off to Canada later this month for a swapping friend I have there. It was lots of fun to make and I'm very happy you liked it. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Hi Dottie! Thank you very much for the pretty purple fabric and cute buttons. Too bad you live in MO, as I could really use an experienced quilter to give me help and encouragement! Also, I think your brother made an excellent choice; the Jane Austen card is very pretty.
Comment: I am so sorry that it took me so long to rate. Thanks for the nice blocks. I appreciate the extra block. It is going to be fun making a quilt top with my stars. I am going to use a rich golden yellow for the sashing and borders.
Response: oh that will be very pretty when you get it done....I'd love to see a photo if you take one. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the quilt squares and for coordinating this swap. I have never done this block before but I really enjoyed making them . The ones you sent are beautiful. Thanks!
Response: happy you liked them, thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you Dottie for inspiring me today! I love all the fun fabrics you sent along with the buttons and notions. The pattern looks like the perfect project to take to my quilt retreat this weekend. Thank you again ♥
Response: Oh great, I'm glad you liked everything. Enjoy! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much Dotti for the fabulous fabric! I love them all. So glad you joined my swap and that I was your partner!! I absolutely love the jelly piece ~ I love JELLY/JAMS so much! XO Kelly :)
Response: I am happy you liked the fabric, it was a fun swap. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: WOW! You went above and beyond for this swap. I love the variety of selvages you sent. I'll have so much fun making something unique with them. The fat quarter is fabulous and I'll definitely find a good use for it. Thank you so much for such a fun, generous swap package. ♥
Response: ahhhh success! I am so happy you liked the package. Thank you for the fast rating and the heart!
Comment: Loved the HST's and the extra fabric, this is a nice swap, don't have many HST's in this size. Guess I missed the 1st swap, had better start paying attention, hope there will be follow up swaps with this one.
Response: so happy you liked the blocks...yes, we sure can do more of these...I'll get one set up for next month Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Loved your string blocks, I'm saving these blocks for a lap quilt that can be pass out at our local Nursing Home for the holidays. One with all reds if time allows another in blue and maybe a green. Have notice the holiday patterns are showing up already, thanks to you I have mine, great idea Dottie!
Response: I was hoping you wouldn't mind the string blocks....I love to make them...I have a large container full of the strips just waiting for more string blocks. Thank you dear for the heart!
Comment: Thanks, Dottie. This design would make a really dramatic quilt. i'm not very at ease doing curves either. If I were I think I'd do a whole quilt of these blocks. I like the fabric you used a lot.
Comment: Dottie, thank you for all the loveliness in this package! I was really hoping for a cute piece of patriotic fabric and I love what you sent! Oh, and the beachy charm squares? Eek! I can't wait to make something fun with them!!! Thanks for everything!!! :)
Response: you are welcome, I found that beachy fabric at Hobby Lobby and can't wait to go back for more. My favorite fabric in that group is the foot prints in the sand....love it! Enjoy and thank you for the heart!

Oh, I had to tell you something about trusting the Lord...last Friday when I was standing on the bus stop to go home a man tried to get me into his car but I wouldn't go. He kept saying "come on I'll give you a ride home." I said no and called my husband Terry with my cell and made him stay on the phone with me. Finally the guy left and the bus came. God was protecting me that night, as He does everyday on the bus stop!
Comment: Thanks, Dottie, this is a striking quiltie and you've sparked an idea in my brain: I'm doing a series of complex circle quilts and hadn't thought of yoyos, but I think I can use some. Also thanks for the lovely blue fabric. A package that was a joy to open.
