Comment: Thank you for the colorful, decorated envie full of amazing goodies! Loving the dogs, dolphins, and other animal items! : ) All very cute! It’s pretty humid here too. Comment: I love the jellyfish! It's like a natural work of art. My husband loves lemon too. I make him a lemon bundt cake with drizzled icing every year for his birthday. So good! Thank you for the postcard. Take care!
Comment: Hi Lisa!! Thank you for the postcards! How totally cool! Thanks for the extras too. Always love your notes - I am so glad you had a great vacation. And I totally laughed about confusing the PO. You are right they don’t need any further help being confused LOL!!!! Always love when you’re my partner! xoxo
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome envelopes The dragon is my favorite! I had forgotten about Books-A-Million. I need to check them out again. I found them once about 5-6 years ago and I haven't been back that way again. Have a wonderful day!

Comment: Thanks for the really cool postcards!
Nice envie and spare ones inside!
Love the halloween stickers too. We actually have and ice rink here in Darwin, but i havent been as i am so incoordinated! I suspect i would just be spending most of the time on my bum! Good to hear some smeblance of normality returning where you are. Weve been very lucky and except for travelling, things are pretty much back to normal in Darwin. I do like the stickers on the floor in the shops though - never liked having someone stand really close to me in the line. Have a great day!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Indira card! I don't know too much about her (terrible since I'm Indian) it was great to look her up and learn! Also, your hike and picnic sound wonderful!
Comment: Awwwww thank you for that absolutely adorable burlap bunny! LOVED reading your note (no worries about digressing too long on the subject of bugs LOL) and your surprises are awesome. Swooning over those peacock cards!!! I'm glad to read you're doing okay over there. Same here. Can't wait to get vaccinated though as the lockdown is still quite strict (curfew; only 1 visitor a day; shops and restaurants closed except for takeaway.. et cetera). Like you I love to be/hike near bodies of water but I'm not really a great swimmer. About seaglass... We don't have any over here! I hope to be able to visit a beach someday where I'll be able to collect my own seaglass. Hm, I didn't think I had a travel bucket list but I guess I do. LOL Thank you and have a happy Easter! <3
Comment: As always, it’s a pleasure receiving mail from you!!! Thank you so much for all the dog goodies!! You must know me, ha ha ha! : ) Imagine anyone/anything giving a cat medicine so easily, LOL! I love that envelope! I bought a few calendars for $1 each last month. Need to break them out and make envelopes too! Thanks for joining my swap! TGIF!! : )

Comment: Thank you for the Maryland pc. It's a welcome one to my collection. Our weather is getting sunnier, but we still have some cool days. That's good that you have time to go on hikes now. Our grandson's soccer season started but with only one parent allowed to be spectators. The governor just opened the state up more, so we're hoping we can attend his games now too. Thanks again for brightening my day!
Comment: What a fun postcard! And of course it's perfect for me as it's the beach!
Yes, lots of snow this winter here. It's not all melted but soon, today is supposed to be in the upper 60's which will help with that.
Stay healthy and best wishes
Comment: Thank you for another great swap! I love all the postcards - nice variety!! I’m glad work is busy. I can only read real books that I hold in my hands, turning the pages...! I’m doing well, glad that Spring is coming! Thank you again for joining! Have a great night! XOXO (thanks for the book and movie suggestion!!!)
Comment: Thank you for the adorable Valentine's card, note and postcards. I had to laugh at myself when I saw the Bermuda PC - I always think of the "Triangle" so I thought, OMG who goes to Bermuda to vacation?! DUH! *sigh* I hope it's warming up for you - we are expecting a big storm this week, so rain here and snow in the local mountains...should be pretty (from afar!). Take care and be well.

Comment: Thank you much Lisa for the 2 cute OX, for the Year of OX PC swap! Weather here? It's understatement, ha! It has so bitter cold here. Especially at night & having to use 3 blankets. Lately it's been way below 0 degrees. It is so unusual being this cold February. I wish this cold snap would end, along with the dang virus. Take care & happy swapping dear friend.

Comment: Wow, What an awesome swap! It sure took long enough to get here. I see you sent it Jan. 10th. I am really starting to hate my state of PA. Found out, we are slowest of all states with mail. Our mail distribution is Harrisburg and it takes them 2 weeks to get mail to here in Canton! And, Harrisburg is about 2 1/2 hours from too. Gr-r-r! Anyhoo, Thank you ever so much, for the wonderful things of 2 note cards, 2 postcards ( one being Elvis), Horse sticker sheet with other stickers, and for the so awesome book plate with my first initial! Wherever did you find that? But I absolutely love all you sent ! And, Of course, My husband will get the Elvis PC. He doesn't have that one. Thank you for thinking of him! I'm not a fan of him personally. I just don't care for care his music. My music genre is the 70's, 80's & so on. Oh, You said be on the look out for your first letter to me. I can't wait & so looking forward to it!

Oh, My husband is going to love this PC you sent, of Sean Connery- James Bond 007! I haven't given it to him yet. But I know he will love it! I keep looking for more Elvis & not having any luck yet. Anyway, Again thank you for the awesome swap! Happy New Year!

Recently at the local post office, the window clerk saw what I was mailing and said "Oh! I recognize your mail. You have such fun envelopes!". So they appreciate what we do. :)
Comment: I loved your writing and the pc that you sent! The leaf stamp was lovely stamped on the pc! I enjoyed seeing your handwriting and just that you took time to really send me a fun letter to read and that you really connected with my soul. Just being human hanging out thru this difficult time. I’m sorry to hear that your bookstore is probably going to have to close. What a difficult year it has been. Yes, coronavirus is spiking here as well. We had more deaths today than ever. I think we had 23! A 33 year old that they did not say any underlining issues. So we are seeing that there is a problem of the virus is now spreading and we nest get this number going down. We are all in this together even when no one thinks about this....thank you again it was fun receiving your pc!
Comment: Love the card you sent. The kitty looks a lot like my beloved cat, Skeeter, who passed away a couple of years ago. I hope you find a couple of kitties to welcome to your family soon. Happy holidays!
Comment: Thank you very much for your awesome card. I like it. The bent I didn't even realize - and as I did expected it from the sendig itself. So I am happy about an unugly ugly swap. ;) All the best for you & stay safe. =)
Comment: Loved the card - especially the shaped panda cards. I love watching pandas on the pandacam at the National zoo.
Response: YAY! I'm glad you like them. I love that there's a pandacam. I remember hearing that the zoo would get a bunch of calls in the beginning whenever the baby panda would fall off a rock. They're so adorbs! Take care :)
Comment: Thanks for the great cards Lisa! Thanks for the podcast suggestion too, I haven’t heard of them before! :)

That you recognized me from my instagram account made me almost cry. I am in lot of doubt recently and this made me just happy. Thank you so much again! I wish I could give you more than one heart
And keep your eyes open for a reply from me! Lots of love, Julia
Response: YAY! I'm glad it finally arrived. I'm so glad you liked what I sent. Thank you for the 5 & heart(s) ;) I know you have a stack almost always... waiting to be rated or replied to... I really appreciate your kind words, we all need encouragement occasionally, even with getting & giving happy mail envelopes.. Be well, stay safe & have FUN.
Comment: Hi Lisa! Thank you for the cool postcard! Happy Autumn to you, as well! I'm so excited it's finally fall season, though it's been coming and going it seems here in GA... that's not to be unexpected heh. How is the weather for you? And did you like going to UGA? Do you miss living here? Sorry for all the questions! Take care and much love!!
Response: Hi! Thanks for the 5 & heart. It's only just gotten chilly/ windy here. I was surprised that Athens got so cold in winter, but I was so frugal then. I'd get wood from the woods behind my rental house & make a fire in the fireplace instead of turning on the heat. I really Loved UGA, but living in the Bible Belt was kind of a culture shock to me. When I was daydreaming of Athens, I pictured living in an R.E.M. video - HAhaha! I hope to swap with you again. Take care & have FUN ;)
Comment: Thank you for resend ! I like all cards.
Thank you for extra stickers.
Response: YAY! It arrived this time, I'm so glad. Let me know if the 1st one ever shows up... our mail has been chaotic recently. Thank you for letting me know about not receiving the first time, and for the 5 & heart. You're so sweet. Take care & stay safe :)
Comment: Thank you for the interesting cards. These swaps with blank cards in envelopes I don't worry about duplicates as most go into my swap box as the only cards I can get locally are tourist cards for KS & some MO.
Response: Oh my, I never thought of that, about not having duplicates ever because you can only get so many at home. That makes it even more fun I bet. Thank you for the 5 & heart. Take care & stay safe. I'll see you in a future swap soon I bet ;)
Response: YAY! I'm so glad it arrived this time. Let me know if the original ever turns up months/ years later. Thanks for the 5 & heart, despite the delay. That'll give you good mail karma forever. Take care & I'll see you in the next swap. ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa! Doing good thank you for asking. My dad just arrived snd is visiting from Idaho. He was supposed to be here in March but it cancelled due to Covid. My kids are so happy he is here. Take care!
Response: Hi! Thank you for your kind words, the 5 & heart rating. I hope your dad had/ is having a good visit. I know your kids love having him there. I live with my dad now, and I know both he and my boys get a lot from being around each other. Take care, we'll see each other in the next swap. Take care & stay safe :)
Comment: I love the bees! I have a bee and butterfly house to put up. I don't know where to put them in my yard. I also try to keep flowers they both enjoy. National Postal Museum is my favorite. It's going in with my Post Office collection. Thank you for the wonderful selection of postcards!
Response: YAY! You're welcome, I'm so glad you like them. I knew that would be your favorite. Thank you for the 5 & heart. Take care ;)
Comment: Love the elephant card. Was that video you saw on You-tube? It sounded very interesting.
Response: Yay, I’m glad you like it. Thanks for the heart & 5.
I found it again - it’s actually 2 or 3 years old - and I missed the first time that it was raining a bit too - David Xing - Wild Pregnant Elephant Gives Birth is the title and it’s nearly 3 minutes long. So worth watching. Take care ;)
Comment: Thanks for the "ugly" postcard!! I actually really like it!! It is funny that it's titled "Dumb Compass". What's that all about? 😁 Thanks for the positive comment on my profile. I keep tweaking it. It's hard to keep it interesting and informative, yet short enough that people will read it. Your profile is great too!! Your obsession with gluing makes me happy. Thanks again!! I hope we "meet" again in a future swap!!
Response: Yay, I do too! thank you for the kind words, 5 and heart. Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the postcards. The pier at sunset reminds me of a photo I took in high school of a local beach; that photo became the title page of our HS yearbook! I am well - I hope you and your family are too. Take care!
Response: That’s so cool! I bet you and your family were proud of that. Thanks for the 5 & heart. Take care :)

I owe you - I haven’t forgotten!! Thank you again for joining my swap!! XOXO
Response: Aww, thanks for your kind words Susan. I’m glad you like all the paper bits I gathered for this fun swap. Take care of yourself, don’t rush on the letter. Whenever is AOK. Give your pups some ear scratches from me, & be well :)
Comment: Hello again :) Loving your paper choice for envelopes - very cool repurposed bank vault as bookstore. It looks weirdly comfy in there, despite the metal bars. Really interesting assortment of PCs too, thank you.
Response: Hi Sharon! I thought it looked cozy too. You’re welcome, I’m glad you like the PCs. Be well :)
Comment: Hi Lisa - Amazing envelope and postcards, thank you so much! Banksy! That quote about feminism is something else - 1992 doesn't feel THAT long ago, esp for such an archaic way of thinking but it's hard to be surprised these days, you know? The image of Inner Harbour makes me want to eat a plate of crab cakes....Thanks again! (PS - I love the spoof cards also!)
Response: Hi Sharon! You're welcome. I was so pleased to get you as my partner, and even happier that what I thought were spoofs of Banksy art are the real deal. I hear ya about craving plates of crab cakes - YUM. :D
Comment: Thank you for the cards Lisa! We have just been to castle Neuschwanstein, it is amazing and one if my faves! Take care and stay safe☀️
Response: You're so welcome. At first I thought I shouldn't send it, and then I remembered how much I liked getting a local landmark PC in MY mailbox. I'm relieved you didn't hate it. It does look like an Amazing place. Be well :)
Comment: Thank you so much Lisa for the horse PC! Beautiful! We are having a hot September. As I'm sure you are too. Maryland isn't all that far from PA. But I'm looking forward to fall weather. So tired of this heat! Our Labor weekend, just stayed home.Don't dare go anywhere. But we had a cook-out though, yummy! I hope yours was fun!
Response: You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it. It's cooling down here, but yes, I miss even short daytrips. It's more important to stay safe. Cookouts are so Fun, I'm glad you celebrated somehow. :) We just went to the pool, for the last time this year & got Chinese food take-out. Thanks for the 5 & heart! Take care ;)
Response: Yay, it arrived. And then most likely bored you to sleep, haha! Such a bland image. I like the surprises I see from others' ideas of unworthy or cast-off PCs. Thanks for the 5 & heart. Take care ;)
Comment: WOW!!! Thank you so much for all the cool randomness!! Those owl PCs are super cool! The homemade envies are beautiful and the typewriter notecard. Love it all!!! Thank you!!
Response: Hi Kristy, Yay, you're welcome. I'm so glad you like them. This is always a fun swap to put together for partners who write thoughtful detailed profiles. I hope we'll swap again soon. Thanks for the 5 & heart rating. Take care & have Fun :)
Comment: Thank you so very much for all the map postcards❤️ I liked that they were all of maryland. I will be keeping them all in my collection. Thanks so much♥️
Response: Yay! You're welcome. I'm glad you weren't thinking, "uggh, ALL Maryland?!" haha! I'm glad you mentioned that's what I sent, bc I think we are partnered again for a map swap, & I definitely want to send you something new.THX too for the heart. Take care ;)
Comment: Thanks so much for the very nice postcard! I am most certainly enjoying the start of September. Summer in Boston is NOT a great season---very humid. Today is a glorious early fall day feel outside!

Comment: Thank you so much for so many wonderful cards and your lovely note. I hope your kids enjoy Jr. HS and HS - I know this online learning thing is weird; I have friends teaching all different grades (from preschool to high school and everything in between!) and it's hard and stressful on them too. I hope you enjoy your staycation - no vacation for us this year, normally we go somewhere for a week for our wedding anniversary - we are coming up on 8 years on 9/22! Time has flown by! Take care and enjoy your time off. <3
Response: Wow, that’s great. Happy (early) Anniversary to you both. The staycation was refreshing, but I was happy to get back to work & routine. I’m glad you like the wordy PCs. Thanks for the 5 & heart. Take care :)
Comment: Hello, thank you for the cards (+ extra), sticker sheet, and the lovely note. Here it was warm today (high of 88F) but we are expecting a cool night. Yes, I think summer is almost over. Sad, but I won't miss the humidity that is common for the Midwest. Best regards & stay safe, Marina
Response: Hi Marina, yes I agree - good riddance humidity!! I’m glad you like what I sent. Thanks for the rating :)
Comment: Thank you so much for what books you have read. I've not heard of Laura Lippman. But then, I'm not into to those kind of books. Thank you for sharing what have read though & happy you enjoy them. Thank you also, for telling me a bit about you & yours. You all sound like a great family. Thank you too, for the bookish note cards & PC & sticker. Loving all!

Comment: Thanks so much for the cool postcard! I've never worked in a bookstore, but they definitely are my happy place as a consumer. Thanks! -Al
Response: Yay! I’m glad you liked it. I wish we paid more, of course. But it’s been my dream job for 18 years so far. It’s changed a lot, but people tell me often how they still like to flip through a book before buying it. Thanks for the 5 & heart rating. Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the postcards! The Grand Canyon is truly amazing. Must be seen in person to really see the vastness of it. No photograph can really capture that.

Comment: Thanks for the great selection of postcards! The sea otters are super adorable, but my most favorite card in between these is the Lila Downs one (native people). Love it! Thank you. Stay safe! Xx
Response: YAY, I'm glad you liked the ones I chose for you. Thanks for the 5 & heart! ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa! I finally got your PC for this. I wonder where the heck it was. Guess it took a scenic route, lol ! But thank you for the beautiful forest PC! Our forest looks a bit like this. We live atop a mountain & have a big forest out of our house & from time to time, I will take a walk out there with my 2 dogs. I love it & is so refreshing!
Response: That's so strange it took forever and a day to arrive. Thanks for your patience, and for the heart. Wowza, that must be a great calming green view - Enjoy! ;)
Comment: Seems like all of my partners are getting rain where they live and we're over here bone dry! Our heat wave ended but the temperature is supposed to climb back up again by the end of the week! :( I'd love a little rain, even if it came with humidity.
Response: Whoa that's strange. We had another heavy rainstorm tonight too. It was wild, and Loud! I hope you get rain soon, it truly does cool everything down. Thanks for rating, take care ;)

Response: Those are good friends to have, haha! Yeah we've stayed home a few times, because we know the water won't be very cold. You're welcome, I'm glad you liked the PCs, thanks for the 5 & heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the postcards. This weekend we are expecting 108 degrees and this is not our hottest part of summer...my water bill has gone up due to "hosing off" in the backyard a couple of times a day, ha! My husband and I had NO IDEA there was a character in James Bond that Austin Powers ripped off, ha, thanks for that bit of information we like the card! We got a kick out of the info about Beaver's teeth too - did not know they were orange! I hope you are well - take care and stay safe. :)
Response: Wowza - 108?! That's intense! Be sure to stay hydrated. I'm so glad you liked the postcards - I love the scavenger hunts! You're welcome, & thanks for the heart. Take care & keep cool!! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the postcards! I was keeping cool in the AC but it broke! So now we're waiting on a replacement and have a little portable AC unit for now, which really only cools one room so I'm camped out in the bedroom lol
Response: Oh no! I hope it's fixed quickly, and that you don't melt in the meantime! Thanks for the 5 & heart. Take care ;)
Comment: This postcard took the long way around - it arrived today, traveling 16 days. The postcard is from the box "This Is My Bookstore." I have a list of more than 50 elderly people to whom I send postcards each month and they all enjoyed these bookstores, armchair traveling. It's nice to have one to keep! Thank you for the recommendation for Laura Lippman. I'm bingeing on Louise Penny now. Don't read them out of order!
Response: Oh wow, that *did* take a long time to get to you! Thanks for your patience. I love this box of bookstore PCs, I'm glad you do too. I've heard great things about Louise Penny, and she's popular at the bookstore where I work.So she's on my list TBR. Thanks for the heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa ! Thank you much for the Scavenger hunt PC's of Animal, Bird, Book cover. movie poster, State Capital & extra of cute little PC. Loving all ! It has been hotter than hot here as well. I can't stand it when it gets up to upper 90's. Which is right now, 97 degrees to be exact Yesterday it was 99,ugh! I hope you're enjoying what's left of summer. Ours here in PA. ends about the middle of September. Take care!
Response: Wowza! Yes, it's crazy hot here too. Yeah summer will last through September here too, so I wish our pool would stay open later. I'm glad you liked the PCs I chose, thanks for the heart! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the nice cards you sent and the extra. Hope you're enjoying your summer. Things sure are a lot different with this virus still hanging around! My daughter-in-law just tested positive today. Ugh!
Response: You’re welcome and thank YOU for the rating & heart. I hope your daughter in law is without symptoms & recovers quickly. You’re right, it’s a strange time with the virus lingering. Take care ;)
Comment: Great cards and love the cute extras so much! I held up the 007 vehicle card to my husband and of course he knew right away it was from James Bond film, just not sure which one! My fave is the Paul Klee child portrait. thank you. Also fun envelope and postage and really love the trailer return address label!

Response: Yes! That's the one - it really is a fun place full of surprises. Thanks for the heart & well wishes. You stay safe too! ;)

Comment: Absolutely love each card - thanks so much for matching my profile and for adding the Flow magazine extra! The heart clouds is so delightful as are the Flow bikes! Don't have that classy Cavallini Yosemite card yet nor that Klimt portrait ! Cool typewriter with humorous message and I don't have the Instructional Chart card in French about leather either! Many thanks!!!!
Response: Aww, you're so welcome. I love when my postcard swap partners have a well filled out profile. I'm really glad you liked the ones I sent. Thank you for the 5 rating & heart. I'm sure I'll swap with you again. Take care until then. ;)
Comment: I love the colorful postcard that reached me today! What you are doing with teaching your son is one of the most important things anyone can do for this movement! I hope you have a nice summer despite everything and thank you for the postcard!
Response: Thanks for your kind words, & for the heart. Education is important for all of us, as is admitting when we don't know something and are still learning. I have conversations about the Black Lives Matter movement with my other mom friends, just as we discuss how we handle school issues, finicky eating habits, sharing, consent, etc. It's part of parenting, and teaching our children what is right from wrong. Plus they have a great innocent loving perspective that I appreciate. I hope you have a lovely summer despite it all too. <3 Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the awesome swap (as always!!). So weird how long they’re taking but it seems to be all over the US that it’s slow. Definitely worth waiting for, as I love the postcards and your note and FUN envelope!!!! Thank you soooooo much!!! You made me smile! : D
Response: Hiya Susan, I'm so glad you liked the ones I sent, & the envelope. I've noticed the mail is slower too, it's frustrating, but hopefully not permanent. Take care & keep cool!! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the card (perfect!) and note. I LOVE that your Mayor had "Black Lives Matter" painted on the street leading to the White House and renamed the plaza, too, I believe. It's long overdue for change here. I am hopeful that it will actually happen this time.
Response: Hi Carol, thanks for the 5 & heart. I'm hoping some lasting changes are made too, as they are long overdue. I hope the focus stays on the Black Lives Matter movement, and that more folks take time to learn about it. Take care ;)
Comment: Ooooh what fun mail!!!! : ) Thank you for ALL the awesome envelopes made with such cool paper! I’m in love with the stickers and labels too! So excited to write now! Comment: Thank you for the leopard card and note. Doing fine here. Things are gradually opening back up here. The 2 main places I go (Zoo and Indoor pool) are open so I can go to them now as long as I am careful and go when they are not busy.

Comment: I have no idea why the postcards took so long to arrive (and the postmark shows that you indeed mailed them over two weeks ago, so it definitely wasn't your fault!). Comment: Lisa! Thanks so much for all the great PC's!! I enjoy all of them;) I too like these swaps because you accumulate so many and you never know what you'll get! The weather here in CA has been strange as well. Feb was supposed to be the coldest and rain-iest month of the year and its been warm all month. Strange! Thanks so much again!
Comment: Thank you so much Lisa for your beautiful postcards. I love them all and am especially excited about the Peter Rabbit and cat ones. I do have a soft spot for Peter Rabbit as I have two of my own and also have cats too. I love the card, when I first saw it, it reminded me of learner plates on a car lol. I am happy to add these great cards to my collection.
Comment: Thanks for the pc's, what an eclectic selection. My boys are disappointed too that we've not gotten much snow this winter, barely enough even for a tiny snowman on the one good storm we did have, since then have only gotten dustings.
Comment: Thank you for the nice postcard! I like that you found a postcard with the movie the quote is from! When I was in AZ visiting the creeper I went and saw the town that the movie is based on, Paige I think? I tried to block most of that trip out of my mind. But I loved the quote! I used a quote from "10 things I hate about you," I love that movie. And we move on February 10th, so just about two weeks! SO EXCITED!!!! I will have you all over once I'm settled in and have all my crafting stuff unpacked! See you soon! Take care!!!
Comment: What a beautiful package! Love your envies! Hooray for cat postcards! The "Cats are Weird" one is hilarious!! Love the letter "A" embellishments! And oh yeah, the cocoa! Is it weird if I just want to eat it straight out of the package??? Smells YUMMY! Thanks for an awesome swap! Say hello to my doppelgangers! :0p
Comment: lol, your extra naked pc came the same day as the envie! They are all nice pcs, thank you very much! I in particular like the West Virginia one because I don't have one representing WV yet and the Washington one with the fireworks. I have such a weakness for fireworks! Thank you!

Comment: Thank you for the great postcards. They are all wonderful. My favorite is the one with all the monuments. I can't wait til my son gets home so I can show him. He will love it. Have a happy day. :)
Comment: Thank you for the nice letter, caramel tea, stickers, and for putting it into a handmade envelope. My husband even liked your mailing label as it reminded him of the very small Aljo trailer his family camped everywhere in.
Comment: I agree, it has been too long since we've been partners in a swap! I'm going to try on cutting down on swaps in the new year since we're moving and I don't want to over commit myself. I think I'm going to do mostly email swaps in the next few weeks. I got the postcard of the boys for Christmas! TOO CUTE!! AND my apartment is a two bedroom so I can host crafting nights!! Miss you! Happy Swapping!
Comment: What a lovely postcard. It's so nice to be able to partake in actual seasonal weather. We dont get much of that in Southern California. Jumping in leaves does sound rather lovely! Thanks again and happy holidays!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! And writing in such colourful pens:D I wish i can work at a bookstore too(: I won't mind owning one either:D That way I'll be able to read all the books that i ever wanted>:)
Comment: Thanks for the Washington pc. I love visiting there. I can't believe you sent an oversized card with dimensional stickers and they didn't charge you extra. Go figure. I get caught all the time for additional postage. Good luck on your new job. Have a great holiday.
Comment: Thanks for the great JFK postcard. (I like him, but my favorite Kennedy is Bobby!) It sounds like you've had some fun weekends. I've been so busy at work, I've forgotten what fun is. I won't dress up for Halloween, but I'll probably take the dogs to petsmart for Halloween photos!
Comment: thank you so very much for that great card
... the shiny shooting stars survived the
cross-country trip, too!
indeed, i am re-discovering the pleasures
of autumn again ~ hard to believe the

Comment: I've heard of the Wailing Wall, but not the make-out wall!! Ha I love this photo!!! Thanks for your unique and colorfully-written postcard! can't believe the stickers didn't come off in the mail! And darling rhino stamp - i think that's the first zazzle stamp I've ever received! It all made me smile!!! <3 Thank you!

Comment: GREAT postcard...love the "Did you know?" cards. Also, have to agree with you on all of your "fav" Presidents and your terrific reasoning... if you have this swap again... I may have to "borrow" one of your explanations (they were so well put)! LOL! Thanks for the great swap and for being a fantastic partner!
Comment: OMG OMG OMG!!!! A CHEWBACCA POSTCARD! YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Thank you! I love it so much. You did real good! I think the going rate for a lost tooth now is $2-$5.00 so you did just fine :)
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard - flat and mountains in the panorama! (Think of job interviews as meeting interesting people - at least you'll walk away having met someone interesting - or knowing you won't want to work there. Good luck.)
Response: Thanks for your encouragingwords & for the heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa! Thanks for the card and I hope you and yours are safe from your assorted weather and mother nature's hormone problems:0) I too am trying to jump into the job pool (and it is really cold) after working for a company for 15 years and going to school for 5 years. Best of luck to you. Teri
Comment: Love the lenticular frogs!! Thank you so much! I am sorry about Borders closing...makes me sad. I wish you the best in finding a new job. I agree - interviews are the worst. It has been a long time for me too! Thanks for hosting another great swap!
Comment: Thank you for resend! I love visits to the library :) How old are your boys?
Response: You're welcome, they're 4 & 6 and so much fun. I miss working at the bookstore which just closed earlier this month, but the trade-off is how much fun I have with my boys. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard and the colorful note. I'm sorry to hear about the book store closing. Hopefully something good will open up for you! If I worked in a book store, I would probably spend my whole paycheck there.
Comment: Wow, what a week you had. I feel so bad for all the families that were affected by Irene, really sad. I want to thank you for the postcards you sent for this swap! Also, the very awesome envelope AND Elvis Stamp! My mom loved to watch his movies, she would take naps so she could stay up late for them. I bought her some of these stamps in 1993, she saved a lot of them. Love your journals & reading your profile. Take care, Judy
Comment: Thank you for not just one but two great postcards (if I do say so myself) and messages. We only had rain b/c of the hurricane. Glad you didn't get any worse. Good luck to Harper on first grade.
Comment: thank you so much for the super cute beagle postcard! i love it! my dog makes the same "i'm so cute" expression! :) i think you'd like a beagle. they are very sweet and loving, but oh so smart, so you'll have to really train the dog or they will get themselves into trouble finding things to entertain themselves. ;)
Comment: Just saw that I haven't rated and junk for this. I know it will find its way back to me, so I'm going to go ahead and rate you for it. I know you filled it out because I saw it. I CAN'T WAIT to read your and Megan's answers!! We must do something soon!!! Love ya!
Comment: GREAT Bob Marley postcard! Thanks so much. Love the multicolors that you used to write all that you were able to squeeze onto the card! Didn't feel the quake here at home, but husband & coworkers on the 7th floor in downtown Rochester did! Luckily, we didn't get anything from Irene but winds.
Comment: Thanks for the Star Wars X-Wing PC. Your postcards are always such works of art on the back, they are the best part! I hope you had a fun and stress-free shopping trip. I'm not ready for the new school year, myself. Norman is doing well. He and Walter are cuddling on the couch!
Comment: Love ALL of these pc's!! Especially the Sprrento one with the oranges at the bottom. So colorful! I agree, these swaps are fun and we get to see pc's from all over the place. Thanks for the awesome postcards! Hope we can swap again soon and the envelope is super cute! Did you make it? I remember doing these little thumbprint things in elementary school ♥
Response: I'm so glad you liked them & thanks for the heart. I love to make my own envies, but this one came from a pack my mom found at the thrift store. Aren't they cute?
Comment: Lisa, as always I agree that we should just have a connecting mailbox or something. I don't work on Tuesdays so Aug 9th is good for a meetup craft session if that's the date you do end up picking. My days off every week are Sundays and Tuesdays. Then I also have every other Wends off. <3
Comment: Lisa- hey as always since swapbot fate happens, thank you again. I would love to have an envelope making party. I just recently got back from Va beach, my boyfriend and I went for three days we never had been, Id say OC is way better.
Response: Thanks, Jen, for the heart & kind words. I saw your pictures too, & when I saw the "Love Beach" mural I was wondering where that was. Hope you're keeping cool in this heatwave. I'll be sure to invite you when I next host an envie-making party. Hopefully it'll be soon, because I'm overwhelmed with great papers, calendar pages etc! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the extra postcard! By the way... where did you get those labels?? I want some!!!
Response: You're welcome for the extra. I get all of my address labels, including the larger ones (which are called package labels I think, but you can use them for whatever) from Colorful Images. Check out their website for lots of great large labels. Thanks for the heart! ;)
Comment: Oh hello there fellow swapper! Thanks for the great postcard... I think I recognize that one! :) i love it! My boss is away on vacation right now so us little crafters have been having so much fun! You need to come visit me and buy a bunch of stuff soon! I miss you! and I would LOVE to go to the pool with you, you just have to let me know when you're going! hugs!
Comment: Mmmm, crab cakes!! I will delete the bell peppers (I don't like them! lol!) and try this recipe for sure. Looks sooooo good. Have you had a cool week weatherwise like we have? It is cold this morning! Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcard with all your information. Sorry for the late rating. I was in a clinic for two weeks and then a lightning struck the DSL line in our little town and it took them nine days to get us back online.
Comment: Oh hello there! Thank you for the nice postcard that I received in the mail from you today! It has been a rough week this past week, but I need to see you and everyone so that I can vent!! Miss you my dear!
Comment: Great cards, thanks. Should I do this kind of swap again? We didn't get many people signing up.
Response: You're welcome. I'm glad you liked them. I felt silly because I had my moo.com PCs pre-printed with my return address, so I couldn't send those. But I've had more made & I'd love to swap these again. I'm sure others would too. I sometimes promote my new swaps in the forums, & in postcard group forums, so that's 1 idea to get the word out. Thanks for the heart & please let me know if/when you host another. :)
Comment: Hello Lisa Beth- It's nice to hear from you again. Thanks so much for the great postcard of the Jordan River. I don't have many cards from the Middle East. I was visiting my 10 year old niece the other day and looking at her postcard collection, and she received a postcard from you from Postcrossing. She thought it was pretty neat when I told her that you have sent me some postcards, too. :) Best wishes! Debbie Christian
Response: Wow Debbie, what a small world! I received a postcard from the same person, in Malaysia, on the same day - one was for a swap-bot swap, & one was for Postcrossing. I love coincidences like that. Thanks for the heart & take care. :)
Comment: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is actually on my current reading list. I read it in highschool, but want to re-read it now. :)
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you're going to re-read it. :) You'll love it even more so now, that it isn't required. It's so good, then see the movie too, again, or for the first time. The book of course is always better, but the movie is also Very Good. Take care ;)
Comment: Thanks for the PC. It's been cold and rainy here too. The only nice day we had we spent doing yard work cuz we were getting to be the trashy looking neighbors on the street, now it looks so nice!
Response: That's funny. Sometimes you just have to make yourself do it, but then you really appreciate the results. You should've taken some before & after pics, like you were on a yard makeover show. Glad you liked the PC. I love the color themed ones. Take care ;)
Comment: I like her, My only complaint no backing and postal machines love to eat the soft ones up.
Response: Oh no, you're right, too plain behind her. I'll have to remember that for next time. I probably could have taken it to the next town over to be hand stamped. Thanks for the feedback, Fawn, & for the heart.
Comment: Lisa, Beautiful pc...did your boys enjoy their easter egg hunt? My cousins use to live in College Park so I've been there many times, but now for a very long time so I'm sure it has changed a lot. Thanks for the wonderful postcard! Lynnie
Response: You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it. They really did enjoy the egg hunt, and there were so many eggs hidden with little fake bugs, coins, & some candy. Their grandparents really do spoil them, but I guess that's what grandsons are for, haha. ;) Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Like the map card. Hope you saw a Bald Eagle.
Response: I'm glad you liked it. We didn't see a Bald Eagle this time, but we kept our eyes peeled for one. We saw other large water birds, though & our legs really got a workout! Thanks for the heart & take care ;)
Comment: So we meet again! I'm quite proficient at spotting your cards from across the room. LOL So you run into any hottie guys in Annapolis? Gotta be more than a few.
Response: Haha, notoriety is sometimes a good thing. The hotties are plentiful, yes, sailors & the cadets from the Naval Academy with their dress white uniforms. Definitely More than a few. Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely card and note! :) I really enjoyed it and thank you for the extra little card. Thank you! :)
Response: You're so welcome! I love doing these types of swaps, & seeing what in my stash would appeal to my partner. I know I like it when others do that for me too. Thank you for the heart. Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely letter and the notecard. I understand about having a paper addiction but it is so fun! Hugs, Mona
Response: You're welcome! Paper & stationery stores are my weakness. This is my favorite type of swap, because I always think I'm going to write about one thing, and I go off in some other direction. Thank you for the heart. Take care ;)
Response: You're welcome. Glad you liked it. Sometimes I'm not sure if birds qualify as an animal for these sorts of swaps, but I wanted to send one that is unique. Thank you for the heart. Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the nice envie and goodies. I love the owl card
Response: I'm glad you liked the owl notecard. I got those from my bookstore & have enjoyed sending them out for different swaps. I can't have a favorite bird, but owls are certainly in my top 5. Thank you for the heart! ;)
Comment: Oooo! Thankyou Lisa for the wonderful postcard, it evoked a great memory for me, I have been to Venice with my Husband and took a trip on a gondola, so romantic especially when being serenaded to! Thankyou for the lovely message, I do hope you will settle into your new job ok, we are also enjoying some lovely sunny weather here at the moment :)
Response: I'm so glad the PC brought back good memories for you. That sounds like a very romantic fun trip. The job is so far, so good, thank you. And thx too for the heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the map card and the big hug. I do have a good support group. Some of the girls from the group meet after for coffee and knitting and talking. I think that the time we spend together is better than the therapy and the group. Also the knitting is good therapy.
Response: Hi Sue, I'm so glad. There's nothing I like as much as a homey cafe, coffee, & crafting with friends. Thanks for the heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card. I love sending and receiving cards and have been at it for a long time. I'm glad that you are having a good time.
Response: You're welcome, Sue. It's very addicting, I think to send & receive mail. I wish more people were as obsessed. I tell anyone who will listen about the joy I get from postcard swapping. Take care & thank you for the heart ;)
Comment: I love this PC. . . it appears the kids are from about the 50s era so a little girl never lifted up her skirt and little boys were told never to look. . . under-clothes were not meant to be shown ~~ times have certainly changed!!!
Response: That's the truth. Even in My teens, I was horrified if my bra strap showed with a tank top, & now that's normal. Thank you for the heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Lisa- seems swapbot loves to match us up =), we should just hangout. Your rhino stamp is so adorable.
Response: Hi neighbor. You're right! I'm glad you think so too, about my rhino. I've been thinking of hosting a semi-regular mail-making local group get-together, if that makes sense. I'll let you know when I do, so you can come. ;) Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. The weather at my country is always sunny and hot, with raining season every now and then. But recently it's been soooo hot i'm sweating even i'm doing nothing, guess we should switch places, haha.
Response: Wow, that IS hot. Hopefully you'll get some rain soon to cool things down a bit. I'm glad you liked the postcard. Keep cool & take care ;)
Comment: Thanks so much for the great cards! Love the one of the fireworks over D.C. especially :)
p.s. how funny that you sent the note on Borders Cafe stationary...I used to work in one! Sadly, that store closed yesterday :(
Response: I'm glad you liked the mix of PCs I sent. It's sad that a third of the Borders are closing, but hopefully that will be the end of the closings. Encourage everyone you know to read more! ;) Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Hello from Sydney, thanks for the great postcard which has reach me today

Comment: Hello from Sydney
Many thanks for the postcard which has reach me today.

Comment: Love them all, Lisa--thanks! I once saw wild horses in Nevada. We were driving on what they call the Lonliest Hwy in America. There is no speed limit, and you'd expect to see a stagecoach by the look of the landscape vs. another car! We saw these horses just running free-it was so cool! So we finally get to a town and stop at a local restaurant. I asked the waitress, "So were those wild horses we saw out on the hwy?" She looks at me like I'm just the dumbest person she's ever run across and says to me, "Well, did ya see any fences?". Alrightly then, no fences all right! Made me feel like an idiot, that's for sure.
Response: Aww, too funny. I like that anecdote. We have wild horses on islands off the coast of Maryland, & they're rounded up every Spring to be sold to benefit the fire dept. You aren't an idiot. I'm sure that was some sight, seeing free running horses for the first time. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I love this funny postcard. I am amused by dressed up cats, especially when they are wearing cute boots. I did host the animal-whose-name-starts-with-the-first-letter-of-your-name swap! X would be hard! Hope you are getting some nice weather. We finally had a warm, sunny day!
Response: Yay, thanks for the heart! I wonder what type of fashion sense cats would have. I doubt so proper & prim since they're such hellions (sometimes). We're getting some 80 degree temps tomorrow, but today it is overcast - perfect for catching up on mail. ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa
Loved your postcard of the Dancer - the perfect addition to my collection. Thank you so much - a real treat in my letter box. Good luck with finding a new job - the Border stores are closing in Australia also - sad really as there is nothing like a wander thrugh a great bookstore.
Best wishes Penny Hamilton
Response: I agree. I could spend hours in a bookstore looking at all the books there are & making mental lists. I'm sorry your Borders are closing too. Maybe the independent/used bookstores will come back then. I'm glad you liked the random PC I sent & thank you for the heart. ;)
Comment: Thank you.
I got your card and am hitting myself.
I wanted the capitol buildings. But I did not make it clear in the swap directions. That is why I want to slap myself.
I will start another swap for the buildings later on.
Response: Oh no, I'm so sorry, Fawn. I'd love to join the Capitol building swap if you host it. ;)
Comment: I MISS YOU!!! I laughed out loud when I looked at this pc... too funny! I had no idea about the Columbia Borders, I'm sure you'll get it! I did hear about Steve, shame on him! And yep, we will go to HOP with you on 4/15, get the details to me somehow. What r u doing this Thurs???
Response: AAck! I missed seeing this until today. Dylan was in a punky mood yesterday anyway, so we'd have not been good company. Maybe a antique market is in our future for next Thurs or Fri though. Can't wait for "HOP"! Thanks for the heart. :)
Comment: I love this postcard! I hope it wouldn't be rude of me to ask if I can send it back to you in an envelope with a stamp and pre addressed and have you write on it and put it in the mail. I really enjoy postcards that are written on by the sender. I hope this doesn't come across rude :\
Response: Absolutely! Please do. That's quite the compliment actually. :) And thanks for the heart
Comment: Love the magazine envie. At first I thought the card was crazy bunnies, until I read it is funky butterflies - cute! Have you ever considered a fountain pen - refillable! And could be an heirloom for your children some day.
Response: That's a great idea, thanks for the suggestion, & for the heart! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! I have a funny rhino story (from our zoo here) that's probably not appropriate for your comments. :)
It is really, really, REALLY windy here. I would gladly trade the wind for snow. It's been gusting almost constantly @ 30-45 mph for 3 days!!
Response: Wow, that is quite a wind. Chill out already, WIND! PM the zoo story to me if you get the chance. I'd love to read about it, & it's hard to shock me, so don't worry about it being inappropriate. Thanks so much for the heart! :)
Comment: Lisa, this water image was awesome and creative. The weather after today should be warming up they say, crazy lightning storm we had tonight.Im sorry about your borders I know getting a new job will be crappy.
Response: I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the heart. Yes, I'm looking forward to this warm week. Pack up the coats & hats for good!! Take care ;)
Comment: Hello Lisa- We keep running into each other every now and then. Thanks so much for the wonderful Audrey card. I have several of her, but not this exact one, so it's a wonderful addition to my collection. I would give you more hearts if I could. :) If I ever run across a card with a rhino on it, it's yours! Best wishes, Debbie Christian
Response: You're welcome, Debbie. I'm glad it was a new one for you. I always like sending to you because you write a nice rating for me. Thank you for the heart. Hope you're having a good weekend. :)
Comment: Lisa, another great Llama postcard...I'm going to go to zazzle and buy some of those. Thanks for another wonderful postcard! Lynnie
Response: Funny, huh? I may have to change my username to llamaluvr instead. :) Zazzle really has THE best selection, & you can even personalize them. Quick delivery too - I love zazzle. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Lisa, I sent a Sea Lion....it worked for both my first and last name. Our Borders is closing too, that makes me very sad
: ( Thanks for the great postcard! Lynnie
Response: I know, I think it's terrible. People would rather watch TV than read (most of the time). We should be opening lots of new bookstores, not closing them. Thanks for your encouraging words, & for the heart! ;)
Comment: thanks for the lovely postcard! (the stamps are awesome too!)i am ashamed to say i've never read to kill a mockingbird!
Response: There's still plenty of time to read it, & re-read it, & recommend it to people. It's really my favorite book, & if you DO ever read it, be sure to see the movie after, because that too is a real gem! Thanks for the heart! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the PC. I am originally from MD - so I am familiar with Fells Point. It will fit in well with my MD PC collection. 617 and still counting!
Just received your second PC. Thank you
Response: Wowza! who knew? I come across some old ones every so often, & like digging through the bins at antique shops for old city view PCs. Thanks so much for the heart & take care. ;)
Comment: Thank you for the card and your detailed introduction of To Kill a Mockingbird which I have for a long time heard of,but not read yet. Maybe this weekend I will go to the bookshop or library to read this book.
Response: That's a good idea, your library will surely have multiple copies. After you read it, see the movie too, starring the ever-dreamy Gregory Peck. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for your beautiful Sacramento PC. It's reminiscent of a stuning one I have of Canberra (Australia's capital city) that I just can't bear to part with. Your adorable "I write stuff" stamp is the same as one I ordered last year (+ a few others by the same designer) but when it came time to order them they were out of stock! I may have to re-place that order. Btw, I have - what I think is - the most fantastic PC that I really want to use but I don't want to 'waste' it. I'd already decided to send it to you (yes, you!), but something you wrote on this PC made me decide to send it even faster, hehe. Myyysteryyy!!!
Response: Oooh, I love that. Can't wait to receive it. Thanks for your kind words, and for taking time to write a real rating. I really appreciate that. Save the one you have of Canberra for a "Return to Sender" PC swap. Have you seen it? It's where you send it addressed to yourself in an envie, and the partner writes on it & sends it back. Fun! Thank you for the heart!! Hope to swap with you again. :)
Comment: Love the pc. My son wants us to travel to NYC this summer. I going to see if I can work this out for us, sounds like lots of fun!
Response: It sure IS! There's lots to see & do with kids too. I'm hoping to take my sons to the Statue of Liberty & to Niagara Falls, though it'd probably be better to split that into 2 trips. Have fun when you go. Thank you for the heart! :)
Comment: My cheeks are flush'd / I don't feel great / Because this rating's / Awfully late... /
I *love* Toulouse-Lautrec, and I adore the rubber stamps you used (bundle of files + 2 kits whose tails say *heart*!). Thank you so much, and sorry for leaving my rating this long.
Response: I forgive you. Thanks for the poem! And for the heart. You're sweet. ;)
Comment: Thanks for the great Chicago postcard. I went to school in Chicago - the winters were horrible. I can't decide if they were worse than here or not. I hate snow, though.
Response: Me too, that's why I left Boston, because of the snow. It must help those cities keep their population low. Both are so pretty, they'd be over-run if not for the frigid temps. Thanks for the heart! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the card! We meet again! Okay, where do I start? Great idea to get clear address labels to position your return address around the PC explanation to save room. V-8 moment for me! (grin) Then I'm envious of your little creature stamp. Then you have holiday things. Then (the best one) you cram so much print on your card that I'm certain my post office will KILL me if I did the same. I happen to agree with what you wrote as well. Perhaps I should do one. Thought provoking, Lisa! Have a great rest of March! (waving)
Response: HA! I like to think the postal peeps like this sort of thing, instead of just bills, ads, etc. I'm glad you liked all of the decorations. I got inspired by another swapper who decorates the backs of PCs, & still adds text. I like to get my $$ worth from the little stamp(s). Hope to swap with you again. Thanks for the heart & detailed rating. I really appreciate it. :)
Comment: Thank you for the card! I suspect we get our address labels from the same site. (grin) You were the very first person to whom I sent a card and here you are again. Yes, I've been to and through your state but there's never enough time. Does every state have mosquito issues? Haha! Thanks again! Have a great weekend!
Response: I hope there are states where mosquitos are outlawed, but we seems to have them around every little body of water I'm afraid. Thanks so much for the rating. It means a lot. You're so welcome & I hope to swap with you again. ;)
Comment: Thank you for the Postcard and Wow! you can write small:-) I do all my shopping at Goodwill, Thrift Shops and Yard Sales, too.
Response: Yay! I think if every clothing manufacturer stopped making clothes today, we'd still have plenty in the world forever. Although, umm... perhaps underwear makers could keep going, haha. Thanks for the heart!! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the nice card of Baltimore, it is a view I have not seen before. Cool. As for the spring...it was 13F yesterday morning with 6" of fresh snow with an icy slush base. Yuck. We've had a few days of 40s that have put a serious dent in the snow pack and a warm weekend awaits. It it gets to 45F I'm wearing shorts. Cheers.
Response: Oh wow. Too funny that you'd wear shorts, but I can remember being excited about the 40's in February, when it thawed the little bit of snow we had. I hope you get a warm spell soon. Thanks for the heart & take care. ;)
Comment: Very neat card. Thanks. And I very much appreciate the extra time you put into writing on it all you did. Nope, it is cold here. Where I was my car would get buried in the snow and would have to dig a tunnel into buildings..ugh. Feel free to add me as a friend or pm me anytime. Have a great day...
Response: Oh I'm so glad you liked it. I always write that much, though it may be overkill. I just like to get my $$ worth from the postage. Thanks for the heart! ;)
Comment: Well hello there Lisa! Right now you are at work and I know that because I just left. I am proud to tell you that I am now a Disney trivia expert, even though you don't care about Disney trivia. I recently sent this same James Dean postcard off in my Famous Dead Person PC Swap. Don't worry.. I will write you some good gossip!!
Response: You're so cute. I knew you liked Jimmy, because his pic was on that swap. Such a hunk, not like these modern day hams. Can't wait to read some good dirt! ;)
Comment: It is so funny that you sent me this card. I actually have the same card in my "pom" collection. I haven't sent it to anyone yet, because I kinda like it. So, now I can share it with someone since you sent me the same card! Thanks.
Response: That happens to me sometimes. I have a stash of never-will-sends, then I get the same one in a swap, and then out it goes soon after. Thank for the heart. I'm glad you liked it. ;)
Response: Isn't that funny? A lot of people said the same thing about the uglies I sent. And the only ugly one I received was of dead fish on a pier. There must be few really ugly postcards in the world, which is, I guess, a good thing. Thank you for the heart. ;)
Comment: Thank you! We had a lot of flooding a few days ago here as well. It was really messy. :c Pesonally, I don't care for To Kill a Mockingbird—I tried reading it when I was nine or ten and I really couldn't get into it.
Comment: Thanks for the nice card. It arrived on St. Patricks day too. I love your stamps and stickers; and the owl return address sticker is very cool. And, I agree, as I look at our impending spring flooding it pales in comparison to the tsunami.
Response: Thanks for your kind words, & for the heart rating. take care :)
Comment: Thanks for the really nice card and for writing nice note. I love to get a postcard and the person writes on the whole card :D I hope that you have a great week and I look forward to being your partner again in future swaps!
Response: I like your appreciative words & I hope you have a great week too. Thanks for the heart & I'm sure to swap with you again since we are addicted to the PC swaps. ;)
Comment: I LOVE it! I knew it would be fantastic, you're so talented with art. Thanks for a gorgeous chunky book. You'd never know that was your first! xoxo
Response: Thanks for the great rating, & the heart! I wish I'd started it earlier, and put more embellishments and/or charms on it, but at least I made one, and know how to improve the process for next time. This was a fun swap to get me out of my comfort zone. Thanks for suggesting it. Hope to swap with you again, sis. xoxo
Comment: Hello, Lisa... Good to hear from you. I love the interesting (and colorful)
postcard from Ocean City! I love Maryland! I used to spend some time there in the Summer. My Mom's sister lived there. I enjoyed your long message and I do hope your Summer is GREAT this year! We are going to Georgia for two weeks in April. ~Gail
Response: Thanks for your kind words, Gail. I bet you'll have great weather when you go to Georgia, & I hope you have a relaxing time. Thanks for the heart & take care. ;)
Comment: Thank for the Klimt card, he is one of my faves. So you liked gardening eh? I love my flower garden too and I cannot wait see some colors out there!!! After many months of different shades of gray :)
Response: It IS a welcome change, that's for sure. Thank you for the heart! :)
Comment: I really enjoyed your card! Thank you so much for the lovely note inside it and decorating all the inside so cutely. :) We live in a very different part of the country, so I really enjoyed your views on Springtime. Thank you so much and I hope we find each other in another swap.
Response: Me too, thanks for your kind words & for the heart! :)
Comment: Even though I have some Irish heritage (great-grandmother) I've never really celebrated St. Patrick's Day. Green bagels!!! I had completely forgotten about green bagels! It sounds like you've had some really cool jobs. I tried to get a job at a bagel place one, but no go. :P
Response: Haha, thanks. And thanks for the heart rating. Hope to swap with you again soon. ;)
Comment: thanks for the great pc! I have never been to DC but would love to-esp. to visit the Smithsonian! Happy swapping! :)
Response: You're welcome. It is a beautiful area, especially during the upcoming Cherry Blossom Festival, but it also has a high crime rate, so you have to be careful. Thank you for the heart. Take care. ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa, I absolutely love the postcard you sent and all the ways you personalized it. :) Unfortunately, I haven't heard of any of the books you recommended. I'll have to change that, since they all sound interesting. Thanks again!
Response: You're welcome & thank YOU for the heart & kind remarks. Take care ;)
Comment: Thanks for the PC - it's weird and interesting He does look smug, but there is something very strange going on with his chest.
I'm sorry to hear that your Borders is closing. The store in Ithaca is, too, plus our local independent stores is also probably going to close, which just leaves one store in town. Sad. I hope you find something good.
Response: Thanks for your kind words, & the heart rating. Perhaps that guy was an independent bookstore owner, and he looks smug because he knows this is my karma for the big box stores pushing the smaller indies out of business. What's going on with his chest, we will prob never know! ;)
Comment: As always, I love getting mail from you! Thank you for the envelope with the paper clippings... I remember you mentioning the Subway... and it was definitely the same guy who sold me the dream catcher! We know somebody famous! LOL
Response: Thanks for your sweet feedback & the heart. I like sending to someone who appreciates the effort. :)
Comment: Thank you soooo much for the wonderful postcard!! :) Thank you for writing so much! :) I loved the quote :)
Katherine Hepburn was such a beautiful woman :)
Btw you have a really cute address label..And the stickers were great :)
Response: YAY! Thanks for all of your encouraging words. I frequently get comments on that address label. It's from Colorful Images. Glad you liked the PC & stickers. Thank you so much for the heart! Take care ;)
Comment: Thank you very much for my postcard. It was so nice of you write such a nice note in it. Have fun and Thank you so much.
Response: You're welcome Kimberlee! I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it. I tend to write a lot, & people sometimes tell me they needed a magnifying glass to read it, haha. Thanks for the heart & take care. :)
Comment: Lisa-You are PC Partner extraordinaire! Gorgeous card, cute stickers and interesting verbiage! And, you have the Best job! Yes, here in my part of Cali, it's mostly sunny. We don't have 4 seasons. We are moderate all year that's why we PAY for it......I haven't been to your state but maybe someday! My daughter visited Baltimore and it was as pricey as California!
Response: That's so true. It's expensive to live anywhere these days, but the sunshine probably does make it easier, haha. I'm so glad you liked the card I sent. Thank you for your kind words, & for the heart. :)
Comment: Lisa, Thank you for the wonderful card, and I wish I could say I was looking forward to going camping.... But it is a wonederful thing to do.... I loved it when I had time to go... Great card....and thank you Pat
Response: Thanks for the quick rating & heart. Anytime I am out in nature, it feels like my minor mundane problems recede quite a bit. We could definitely do with fewer bugs, but I guess they have as much right to be outside as I do. :) Take care
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card :) I love puzzles! So much :D I feel so accomplished after finishing them or getting certain parts filled in. The weather in Georgia was freezing for a few months, but now that we've struck February it's been absolutely lovely :) Went on a picnic today by a lake. Lovely! Thanks again :)
Response: You're welcome. Aren't puzzles fun? I'm just now getting my sons hooked on them, and I love to see them concentrating to get the right piece. I bet that lakeside picnic WAS lovely. I can't wait to have some this Spring too. Thanks for the heart & take care. ;)
Comment: I love your letter, I worked at Borders for several years myself.. they're closing one of the ones I helped open, sad times!
Response: Thanks for the encouragement. It's such a fun place to work, and all of the customers are telling me how sad they are too. What is the world coming to? We should be building more bookstore, not closing them. Thanks for the heart & take care. ;)
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard. I always also love the back of your postcards as much as the front. Thanks for sharing the story about your fun day.... warm weather, shopping for vintage postcards, day off... can't be beat!
Response: Thank you for your kind words, & for the heart. I generally try to get my money's worth from that little polar bear stamp, and it truly was a great day all around. :)

Comment: Thanks Lisa! the heart was so pretty! I liked all the textured cuts you used for the papers and the pretty patterning. thanks!
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked it. You're welcome. This type of swap is one of my favorites. My youngest son helped with the cutting up of papers, which kept him busy enough to make a few extras. Thank you for your kind words, and for the heart rating. Take care ;)
Comment: Hello Lisa, thanks for the great postcard, I really enjoyed it, it brightend up my day! We had a snowy season, early but maybe one more this month, of course the ice speed skating comes from our country ;-) so they've learned it somewhere on our icy ditches.. I'm looking forward to spring as well, the little tullips popping out of the earthe, the fresh breath of new life, enjoy your hiking trip! Lot's of love from the Netherlands, Myra
Response: You're so welcome. The tulips alone are something to look forward to, that's true. Thank you for your best wishes for our trip, and for the 5 & heart. Take care. ;)
Comment: This is actually one of the first postcards in my collection from wayyyyy back in the early 80's - my first, real "grown-up", non-touristy one!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! I squealed with delight when I found it in my mail box! Thank you thank you !!! ♥
Response: It really is a classic image, I love it too. Glad it brightened your day. Thank you for the heart, & take care. ;)
Comment: Dear Lisa, I love you notes as always! I am envious of you though -- I don't have any local pals on SB nor Postcrossing. But, I could definitely see the fun twist that it adds to a friendship or relationship. Ooo - I'm so jealous! :)
Response: Thanks. I really had to recruit them, & they kept seeing how much fun I was having with it. Now they're so addicted & blame me (in a fun way, of course). I hope you find a like-minded, mail-sending soul out there too. Thanks for the heart! :)
Comment: Very excited to get this card! I have been to Camden Yards on a baseball bus trip. That was the time they traded all the Cleveland players and we didn't know hardly anyone on the team when we got to the game. There was a lot of "What the.."? & "Who"? Great memories of that weekend in Baltimore. Thanks. Joy
Response: Oh good, I'm so glad you liked it. It is a pretty stadium with the warehouse on the side. I love it when PCs bring back good memories. Thanks for the heart, Joy & take care. ;)
Comment: Just received my postcard, thank you :) It's absolutely gorgeous, what a beautiful waterfall. I also can't wait for spring / summer. I love camping and will be setting up tent a few times this summer. Haven't planned where to go, as long as it's in nature I'm happy hehe :)
Response: So true. Hope you have a good time getting some fresh air too. Thanks for the heart & good wishes. Take care ;)
Comment: Hello again! It seems I always receive from you but rarely send to you! So thank you for another lovely postcard. I've never been to England but I have a few friends living there, so I'd love to go visit someday. Maybe next year! Hope all is well!
Response: I know, isn't that peculiar? You're welcome, & thanks as always for the heart! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the Van Gogh postcard - it's a painting I haven't seen before. South Carolina is really hot (I didn't grow up here so I'm still trying to cope) and did have a really stupid governor scandal. If I get you as a partner, I'll try to remember to tell you more. :)
Response: Glad you liked it & thanks for the heart. ;)
Comment: I love the postcard you sent and thanks for the long, interesting note you wrote! Yes, I know working in Borders must be fun, 'cause I have a grand daughter who loves working in one down in Georgia! ~Gail
Response: Wow, small world. Tell her Hi from a Maryland bookseller for me. :) Glad you liked my yellow PC. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the tea and the letter. I admit, I read the letter as soon as it got here instead of waiting to read it with my tea. I'll re-read it with my tea later. There's so much in the letter that I want to respond to, so I may just be writing you back!
Response: Oh, I would just love that. I often feel that way after I get a good notecard or letter. Please do if you get the chance, but if not, don't sweat it, haha. Thank you so much for your kind words, & for the heart! ;)
Comment: Tank you, Lisa, for the lighthouse postcard; it is one I didnt have in my collection. How can you write so small ?! ? Something's on The Snail to ya! Stay warm and be happy. Thanx again for reading thru my long profile.
Response: I think it's my fine tip pens which help, & the stinginess in me wanting to get my postage worth. Thanks for the heart & kind words. :)
Comment: Lisa, thank you so much for the beautiful Germany PC! I love the stamp you used, too - very pretty! Lovely to learn about you and your family, and I wish you all the very best! Hugs from Aus, Maggie x
Response: Aww, you're so sweet. Thank you for your best wishes & hug and for the heart rating :)
Comment: Thank you! Love the antique card! Yes, we've been hit with a ton of snow. We got plenty last year too, but this year it hasn't melted before more snow gets here. It's rained some, so it's getting messy now, but our piles out front were taller than me (5"6'). My dad lives in Sykesville, and he and I love visiting Civil War battlefields, so I love going down there. Harper's Ferry is next on my list when I see him. Thanks again! Happy Valentine's!
Response: Yuk! Old slushy snow is no fun for anyone. When I went to Antietam, I loved reading about the battles from the signs, & monuments and imagining what the fields looked like that week. They were probably messier than our snow. Enjoy your visit when you go. Thank you for the heart. ;)
Comment: Great card! Always excited to see something from you, I love your messages. Look for a postcard from me in your mailbox soon! <3
Response: Funny how we wind up swapping with some of the same folks in these PC swaps. I always worry that I'll repeat myself. Glad you liked the yellow one I sent. Thanks for your kind words, and heart. ;)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful vintage style Valentine's card (I love these) and for writing so much - I always love to read what people have to say and it's nice to receive something more than "happy swapping". :) Happy Valentine's Day to you too!
Response: Glad you liked it, and that you don't mind me blathering on, esp. since you'll be getting more soon, haha. I love getting some of the same people in the PC swaps, but am nervous I'll repeat myself. Oh well. Like you said, Better than saying "hope you like it. bye!" Thanks for the heart. ;)
Comment: Thank you for the Tybee Island lighthouse PC. I actually live quite near it. I'm in Savannah, GA and Tybee is our beach, not 8 miles from me. So yes, I have seen it. Thanks for sharing with me!
Response: HAHA, too funny. I bet you were hoping for some variety, sorry I sent you your backyard lighthouse. Hope to swap with you again. Take care ;)
Comment: Lisa, thanks for the great card! I loved the little owls and the fact that you wrote so much in such a small space. I enjoyed the peek into your life. Stay safe & warm. Did you get much snow with this last storm?
Response: Oh good, glad you liked the PC. We just got a dusting, with some ice, but it is melting this week. We've lucked out compared to NY & the midwest. You stay warm too, & take care ;)
Comment: Hi, Lisa!!
Thanks so much for the postcard of L.A. I love the "purple" ness of it..hehehe..I used to live in Germantown, MD., my husb. grew up in Silver Spring/Adelphi, and I grew up across the river and around the beltway, in Vienna, VA. Small world!! We are getting the GIGANTIC snowstorm in central Illinois right now..I am watching the snow blowing and piling up out my window...we should have 2 feet by tomorrow..it's a blizzard!!
Hope spring comes soon!!
Have a great week...
Response: Wow, Sandi, it truly IS a small world. :) I hope you have enough provisions for that blizzard & enough mail to write & mocha-making supplies. Keep warm & be careful. Spring is right around the corner, as I hope the Groundhog will tell us later today ;)
Comment: Hi, I got your nice postcard... but unfortunately, because of the kind of paper and pen, and because it probably came in contact with water or something, the quote you wrote is basically all washed away. :( I can see some faint writing over the angels picture, but I can't even make out what is written... any way you could maybe message me the quote or something? :(
I'm rating a 5 anyways because I can see that you did write it, and it's obviously not your fault that they are so careless with our mail... but I'd really like to know what was written on it. :) Thanks in advance!
Response: Oh no, that's terrible. I'm so sorry. I wonder if it fell into some of our snow, or if it was just carelessness. I will resend tomorrow, and put it in the post office away from the elements, so you have a postcard with the quote. Thank you for letting me know. :)
Comment: Lisa, This is the second postcard I have gotten from you and both were wonderful. I find this card very intriguing.. were did you get it? This will make an interesting addition to my collection. (by interesting and intriguing I mean good). The fact that you work at a Border's Bookstore means you officially have my dream job! I always look at the kids they have working there and think they don't know what they have got lol. I have helped people the employees didn't know how to help. (You can tell I spend too much time there!!). I know you aren't like that at all though, and are very knowledgable and helpful. :) I hope you don't mind, I am adding you to my "wall of fame".
Comment: Oops, I received your card today telling me that what I thought was a surprise note, was actually a card for this swap. It had that nice Helen Keller quote on it. Talk about embarrassing - but thanks for setting me straight. Have a wonderful day, and I'm glad you like my swaps.
Response: That's AOK. This is a sign you're getting lots of good mail (I hope) ;) Thanks oodles for the heart & keep up the creative swap hosting.
Comment: I am so glad you sent me this PC! The personification of poetry! I sent my copy to a best friend. So now I it back! It's beautiful! I loved that you wrote so much!
Response: I like to get my money's worth out of the postage price, teehee. That happened to me once too, I sent off a card & regretted parting with it, and a few weeks later, I got the same one through Postcrossing. We must have good postal karma. Thank you for the heart & take care ;)
Comment: Hi Lisa,
Happy new year to you and your family!
Thank you for the card, I really like it, and thank you for writing so much! It good you like your job so much! I work in a bookshop too, but its more of a weekend job and doesn't sound as fun as yours!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the card I sent. Bookstore staff are a dying breed & we will wind up on an endangered species list soon I'm afraid. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the nice card, how cool the NMAI is free, I'd really like to visit it one day. Enjoy your sons they grow up so fast, I have a 7 yr. old daughter but sometimes she try's to act like she the adult & I'm the child.
Response: Oh boy, thanks for the heads up. I've seen some glimmers of this already I'm afraid to say, but for the most part, they're oodles of fun. Thanks for the heart & Have a great 2011 ;)
Comment: Lisa, I love the card 'cause it looks vintage. Also enjoyed your note.I resolve to go back to the gym... well, I hope to go back to the gym...um, I've been thinking maybe I should move more. ;-)
Response: Glad you liked it. Writing down resoltuions & goals can help. Thank you for the heart & take care ;)
Comment: Thank you for sharing the quote and book suggestion with me. I have never actually read it...might just have to :) Yes, we had some of the worst snow on record...very unusual for Ireland's mild climate. We got up to 12 inches! I hope the weather has gotten better for you also and that the snow stays away!! Happy New Year!
Response: Wow! Must've been a real treat for the kids there. Glad you liked the card. Thanks for the heart ;)
