Comment: Awesome thank you!!! So worth the wait! I keep reminding myself not to just open everything now LMAO...
except for the one.. because I ALWAYS want to learn new things! So I'll open that tonight!
Response: Lol! Glad it finally arrived safe and sound!
Comment: Your lovely colorful birthday card arrived here with some nice surprises. Thank you so much! I really like a lot erything you sent, it was worth to waiting for them (travelled 2 months!!!, but I can see you sent it on time). Thanks again! ❤️
Response: I'm glad you got it and sorry it took so long! I haven't received any of my birthday cards the SA postal service is so slow!
Comment: I am so excited to plant these seeds! This is such a cool mail! Thank you so much & for participating in my swap! The hummingbird card has ruby throats on it, just the same as come to my feeder! I hope your flash fiction went well *crosses fingers*. My own work is a sprawling fantasy novel. I’d call it a good 65 % complete, check back in a year :)
Comment: Wow, what neat tiny cross-stitching! I love the cat and the message :). Thanks so much for the postcards; they are both beautiful! I am really interested in Bes, so the card that your student made is a really special addition to the package:). How amazing to see ceramic that old! Respect to you and your student for such an interesting choice! Hope that cooler days are ahead for you.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card! For publishing your stories I suggest self-publishing or compiling them all together into one book and finding a publisher who specializes in these kinds of books. Research the publishing too! I've heard all sorts of nightmares regarding some of them.
Comment: Hey girl so sorry for the late rate, I cold have sworn I rated you for this swap earlier but I must not have hit save! I absolutely loved everything! <3 Hope all is well and that you're having a great start to the new year!!
Response: No worries at all! Glad you liked it and happy new year to you too!
Comment: WOW, thank you so much for the amazing parcel! The socks are wonderful, but I'm mostly stunned by the amazing needle work you shared with me. This will definitely go on my tree, it's beautiful. Thank you for swapping with me and Happy New Year! PS: Sorry about the late rating, I actually opened it on Christmas Eve, but didn't get around to rating until today.
Response: Oh I'm so glad it got there! I got yours in the week, i'm going to rate now. Thanks so much for the swap and happy new year to you too!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely envelope & embellishments. Unfortunately the agate must have ripped through in transit and didn't arrive but your note about your grandmother more than makes up for it.
Response: Oh nohow awful that it got torn out! I hope it just fell out and wasn't stolen. I will send you something to make up for it after Christmas. Sorry I can't send sooner: just got back from a road trip and things are hectic this side with festive season things!
Comment: What a beautiful assortment of washi. I don’t have any of these, so they are going to be a nice addition to my collection. I also love the little extras you sent, I actually use that little paper to help keep my swap bot book organized, so it was great to see some more come in the mail. Thank you very much and hope we get to swap together again.
I also love to swim, haven’t been able to lately because of health condition, but looking forward to the day when I can get back in the pool. And you know I never thought of it until reading your letter that you guys actually have Christmas in summer, that seems so strange to me. We don’t have much snow right now and it’s not very cold, unusual. But you never know what’s going to happen, it could be a year type of once it starts snowing it won’t stop and then will just get dumped on. Do you guys get snow at all?
Response: We never get snow! Except once many years ago on my mother's 21st! It's just not cold enough here for snow, even in the winter. Our Christmases are all barbecues and beaches. I just got your swap - will rate soon! xo
Comment: thank you so much for the beautiful pink washi and all the extras. I love the dog stickers, they are adorable. And the tea smells great, I can't wait to drink it. You are so lucky it is warm in Capetown, it has been raining here and been cold for days.
I hope you get the washi I sent for you soon!
Comment: Thankyou Lyndall for your thoughtful swap parcel. I especially love the cross stitch. I don’t do it often enough now. Just beautiful and yes heading straight to my Christmas tree. Happy Christmas to you.
Response: It's such a pleasure! I'm glad it arrived in time to go on the tree! Happy Christmas to you too! xo
Comment: What a cool stamp and card! I love all the flowers! Your tiger notecard is perfect, and so is the darling bookmark. Thanks SO much! It traveled a long way, and arrived mostly in one piece--one corner had been torn a bit, but nothing fell out (I think!).
Response: Oh no! I'm sorry about the torn corner but I'm glad it got there and that you liked the little bee stamp. xo
Comment: Thank you very much for the wonderful washy, I don't have any like it. The tiny close pin is pretty cool and I love the quotes. I've put the tiny envelope in with my Christmas cards with the date of December 1 on it, I can't wait to open it. Thank you for everything you've made my day.
Response: It's such a pleasure! I'm glad you liked them! I've started to get really into washi - building up a little collection.
Comment: Another great swap! Thank you so much for all those amazing goodies! I feel its so much more than 1 oz! <3 I hope you received an envelope with just as many great items :) I am so glad that you have enjoyed the swaps!
Response: It's a pleasure treasure! Thanks for hosting so many great swaps! I'm going to host one in the group as soon as I'm finished with my other two.
Comment: Hello Lyndall, Thank you, we love the elephant postcard <3 Good to hear you are getting some rain to break your drought :)
Response: Thank you! I was going to go into all the detail of showering and using the bathroom while we're in this drought, but perhaps on second thought it was rather lucky that there wasn't enough space on the PC! TMI
Comment: Hey there, I always are astounded by people who can do embroidery. My weapon of choice is the pen and whenever I pick up a needle it looks awful.
I like your pieces, especially the animal ones (though I can imagine they are less work than the others? - they have a catchy look)
Kepp on going :)
Response: Thanks so much for the compliments and for hosting the swap!
Comment: WOW. I absolutely love the penguin PC. I had no clue that Cape Town had them. I can't thank you enough for the great pc and the compliments on my help with newbies. It's truly rewarding for me to watch new members be able to grow into great members and then help newbies in return. It's my pleasure to be a part of it. ♥
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! And it's an absolute pleasure - I think you do a great job (I'm looking forward to doing my own swap in the future). xo
Comment: Hello Lyndall - thank you for the postcard! It arrived safely, but wanted to let you know that it's a bit too thick. The postal machines scraped off most of the note you wrote to me, but I figured out which swap it was for! :)
Got the replacement you sent. Thank you so much!
Response: Oh no that's terrible! I'm so sorry - I used cardboard to try and make it more sturdy but obviously that wasn't a good idea #newbie. Thanks for still rating a five- I will send you a different postcard to make up for it!
Comment: I really enjoyed reading about your weekend Lyndall. And how weird... just a hour after I read your letter there was this item on the news of sea turtles dying of all the plastic in the sea. Love the old print you send too.
Response: Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I can't remember if I wrote this in the letter or not but it was my first ever swap-bot swap!
