Comment: Seeing a Savannah, GA PC in my mailbox made me laugh. I've been there more times than I can count. I didn't know it was considered one of the most haunted cities, but I have never experienced anything strange there.

Comment: Thank you for the communication about the swap before it arrived, the fun profile goodies (nbc stickers, space PC, letter set and postage to use), and your note. My eyes are behaving well tonight so I was able to read the note with my phone flashlight without waiting until morning for fresh sight. I often say that if I could reverse a food allergy it would be a tie between salmon and apricots, but at this point I've lived so long with all the allergies that it is just normal for me. It is hardest on those around me (especially if they plan to kiss me!), and I'm a terrible person to go out to eat with because I can't even share space with some of my more severe allergies. Everybody knows where my EpiPen is. Again, shrugable for me but surely horrible from the outside.

Trump has decided to rename 'Lake Ontario', 'Lake America' because of the trade wars with Canada? Sheesh . . . Response: when we get rain, it is in monsoon form. That's why the Grand Canyon had the flood. We get hit hard and fast and it's gone, but the desert can't absorb that much water at once and floods happen

Response: He grew up out there and had a Disney pass but now that's too expensive. He is going to Universal Horror this year instead of Knott's because of the Ozzy maze.

Comment: LOL, I traveled Route 66 and never saw this postcard! There is much to see along the route. I've done the whole route, but there is so much to see, so I need to return. I also love caves and Mermac is nice. But a great cave is Carlsbad Caverns in NM. It's an older cave and has more formations inside and it's self guided. Thanks for joining my swap! Hugs

Comment: Thanks for joining. I’ve been on the river boat at the casinos too. I haven’t heard of Parker Strip though. Every time I visit my parents in Golden Valley I see all the boats and jet skis on the river. Thank you.
Response: if you go through Lake Havasu and keep driving on that road out of Havasu you will get to Parker. There is a cool dam there and everything.

Thanks too, for your answer, wanting to see your brother again .I am so sorry for your loss. I can just imagine how much you miss him. I want so much to see my child that passed in 1989. She was only a month old and would have been my 5th child. But I did have another child in 1994, making the 5th. But in reality would be 6th. Take care and I hope your evening in relaxing.

Comment: Here in Canberra we go from 20 degrees Fahrenheit in winter with snow on the mountains to 115 at Christmas time. This year it is apparently going to sit at 115 the entire week between Christmas and new year. Making it too hot to go to the beach (the sand with burn you and you will get sunburns even with sun cream). This year we will go to Orange for Christmas, there is a lake there that the kids like to swim in and it is nestled in the Aussie bushlands so there will be shade, so long as we don't wilt in the heat we should have a pretty good Christmas :D One day I hope to have an American Christmas with snow, but I feel like it would be so very different to the hot summer Christmas's we have here. Comment: Thank you for the quirky card, which made me smile. The temperatures here are not ideal for mulled wine, hot chocolate or hot eggnog. It's more iced coffee and sangria weather, although they said this year Christmas won't be too hot. Have a Merry Christmas!

Comment: Like the card! Not only do I live on Rudolph Rd. But up the road is Christmasville Rd. And my middle name is Noel, but spelled Noelle. It's odd with all that Christmas around me, you would think I would like the holiday some more.
Response: probably too much of it all year round! That's how i got with fireworks when I lived on the river bluffs - fireworks every weekend and I no longer enjoy them.

It does get pretty cold, but this year seems to be pretty mild in the temperatures so far. it's only -20F out right now, but thats pretty warm, usually we are around -40 by now. Thank you for the postcard :)

I really love the themes and colors of this holiday, but this year we did not celebrate it at all, so your postcard made me happier :)

Comment: Thank you, Julie. The lemurs definitely made me smile, but the alligator did too :D. The astronaut on the moon brought back a vivid memory. I was living in a small village in India when that occurred & listened to coverage via Voice of America on a battery powered radio. My village did not have electricity & there was no TV in India at the time. The villagers thought I was making a big joke when I told them of the event. One asked me if "Amreeka" was near Bombay, and another asked if we had the same moon there. I wrote to NASA and got an autographed photo of the astronauts; gave it to the village headman who displayed it beside garish images of gods from the Hindu pantheon. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Comment: Julie, thanks so much for the beautiful card with the kittens on the front. They look so peaceful snoozing in the little santa hats! Our cat passed away after 18 years of keeping our house mouse (and bird) free, and the mice have realized it and have tried to move in. We evicted them, or at least I think we've evicted them all. It sure made me miss Shadow the cat though - no mouse (or bird, or bunny) dared to cross her path! Thanks for the smile!

Needless to say we eventually gave it away, the grandkids would not stop pressing that play button. The card reminded of that and brought back a lot of good memories. Thank you once again :)

Comment: So about adding photos to your profile - it works well with Chrome. You would copy the "image address" of a photo you find and insert it as shown below, using this syntax: ![](HERE is where your "image address" should go) And there are no spaces with that syntax either. It's an exclamation point with 2 square brackets [left and right, like this] followed by the address in parentheses. :) Hope that helps! :D

Comment: Hi, I love your card. You said you haven't made a ton of swaps, but, I think 55 swaps in one month is a ton of swaps ! I joined in 2007 and have made every kind of swap, except flip books, they look so complicated. Writing letters has turned out to be my very favorite type of swap and I really enjoyed reading your letter.
Response: i am trying to learn flip books - I bought two kits from Michaels to get my head around them
