Comment: Thank you for the lovely card and adding animal stamps! That didn't occur to me. I've spent my July with Covid, but I'm mostly back to normal. No plans to do much in August, the weather is quite awful, so we plan to hunker down in the air conditioning.
Comment: So beautiful!!! You sure have an eye for GREAT Shots! I LOVE these photos! I will tuck these into my flowers/garden journal ! SO gorgeous! Thank you so much!! The colors are so vibrant and the close ups are incredible!!! Beautiful!!!
Comment: It was so nice to hear from you again! What a pretty design on your postalette. Usually June and July are rainy here but we had a dry heatwave. One day of record breaking rainfall and mostly dry again! Strange for here. We are going to Florida soon. Looking forward to that. That’s too bad about the beehives. I hope you can do it next year. Bees are so interesting! Thanks a lot for joining!
Comment: Thanks for the pretty daisy card and note. Hope you had fun planting all your plants you bought half price. No big summer plans but I am trying to write a novel. Lovely weather here, too. Have a great summer. Cathy
Comment: Thank you for the lovely shots. I know exactly what you mean about the best shots being an accident. I love a happy accident 😺 The photo of your Cat is gorgeous, really atmospheric. It makes me wonder what she's thinking. Like you I had imagined a much busier, more adventurous Easter when I signed up for the swap but in the end, it was calm and happy and I guess that's all we can ask for. Thank you for the fabulous envelope, I love the stamps. Stay safe 😸
Comment: Thank you very much for the lovely note on a Snoopy postalette! I loooove it! Yes I have a few assorted postalette s stocked away. Definitely a thing of the past! And I remember aerograms - I think that’s what you meant? It is always a happy mail day when I receive mail from you! Thanks for joining my swap and I hope you’re doing well. xoxo
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful bird pc. I'm waiting to get out in the garden too. We're suppose to have a rain free day today, but we'll see if that happens! No big plans for the Spring or Summer, maybe take my dad on a train ride to see my sister in Oregon. How about you? Take care!
Comment: Oh my, what an absolutely cute PC! Made my day to receive it :D I also really enjoyed your personal note and I do completely get the plant addiction. We now have over 120! Yikes, when did that happen?!
Comment: Thanks for the giraffe postcard! I am torn on what to guess is the lie! I’m going to guess that you haven’t visited 5 of 7 continents!?! If I’m wrong I want to hear about Antarctica!! I only know one person who has been there (and more Han once at that!) Thanks for joining my swap!! Hope you had fun! : )
Response: Good guess! It's the jumping out of airplanes that I fibbed about. Used to be a goal but these days I like being on the ground:) Or at least to stay in the plane until it lands lol! Thanks for hosting, I had fun:)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful swap! That envelope is just gorgeous! Cute stamps too! I love the pretty card and thank you for the notecards - poodle and teapot! So sweet! We have had maybe 4 warm, Spring days so far. It has been so cold. Hoping May will reward us! I loooove having you for a partner and I thank you for joining my swap! : )
Comment: Hi Sarah! Thank you for the Manitoba pc. It has fireworks!! Ha, ha, how cool. Thank you for joining my swap. I’m so jealous you found a postcard lot of 300. That is amazing and sounds so fun to look through.
Comment: Thank you so much! Love the armadillo PC... and your story. How did your mother react when finding out?
Response: As luck would have it, I had several pieces of mail that day and she didn’t notice the PC! She had just neatly stacked all of the mail in little piles at the front door, never actually looking at what the mail consisted of that day! Our wedding was the following year and that was the date people knew for about 7 years. When she did find out she understood though, hard to argue with ‘young, happy & in love’ lol!! Thanks for the rating, comment & the heart:)
Comment: Thanks for the lovely random bits! All stationery is appreciated and will be used soon enough! I really loved the cat PC, and found it a bit funny to be receiving a ‘hello from the USA’ postcard from Canada, hahaha.
Comment: I just got this today Jan 15th! I love the typewriter. So fun! I too am Canadian, but I just got my citizenship and am now dual. Thanks for the pretty mail! I got a Cricut for Christmas and have been exploring with it. Warmly, Jenny
Comment: Wow, cool picture.. Literally.. 😎 It's so nice that u used a typewriter for the note. Feels so vintage. Thanks so much Sarah. I definitely am looking forward to travel when it's safe and less restrictive. Its such a hassle to go anywhere when everything is so unpredictable nowadays. I hope we both get a chance to go to our dream destinations soon. Mine is Turkey, by the way. 😊
Comment: Wow, I love your vintage typewriter photography. The lighting accentuates the vintage quality. And I love the quality linen paper. Thank you for making and sharing this beautiful photo card with me SK.
Response: Thank-you so much for the lovely compliment:) And for the rating & heart! So glad you enjoyed the PC. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely blue butterflies.
Yes, we do have a garden. Our house is the last one in a row of 5, so we can walk from our front door to our backyard. Our view is the city park, so we are very happy with our home.
My hometown is a rather new city at the border of Rotterdam. So, a lot of people on a small piece of land. The most of the city was a polder 60 years ago. Now we have 67.000 inhabitants.
I deliver mail in my own neighbourhood. I collect my bags with mail only 800 metres from my house, so I don't cycle that much kilometres. But during busy days (we also deliver magazines) I am glad I have a sturdy bike.
Maybe we'll meet again in another swap!
Comment: I love all the stamps you used! I enjoy looking at them and wondering what some of them are about, especially the strange Austrian one. Do you know?
Response: Hi there! I'm glad you enjoyed it, these are always such fun to make. I did debate keeping that stamp as it is...unique! It is by an Austrian graphic artist, children's book author and illustrator, painter and sculptor by the name of Walter Schmögner, (from a special stamp series- circa 1986). He was interested in "processes of decay, with insects and evocative dream images". This particular image is called "Dissolution", or possibly "Resolution", depending on the translation.
Thanks for the rating and the heart!:)
Comment: Thanks for the great chunk.
Most restrictions have been lifted here, much to my dismay. The D-variant is spreading and we really don’t know how good the vaccine is against it and there are so many people being untruthful about being vaccinated. It’s going to be a long time before I stop wearing a mask in public,
Weather has been very wet here for over a week. We need it to replenish the ground water from last summers drought.
We just go to fireworks for the 4th.
Comment: I love the snail mail postcard! Really whimsical, can't help but smile. 🐌 ----- I don't do a lot of gardening. My backyard is very shady with many cedars. I actually like the shade but plants don't. However I've got some decent hostas throughout. My sisters all have sunny backyards and front yards filled with flowers and vegetables. I visit them when I can to enjoy what they've created. 😀 I completely agree about how fast the summer seems to be going. I was thinking the same thing...can't believe the summer solstice has passed already. PS Really cool postage stamps.
Response: Glad you enjoyed the card/stamps! I have that same shade issue with my front yard, so also have cedars & I'm trying to get a small area planted with hostas. They are so expensive though! My neighbour said he might split some of his this fall and has offered me a few which will be lovely! Thanks for the rating, comments & the heart!! Have a great summer:)
Comment: Thank you so very much Sarah for your beautiful envelope (cool stamps!!!) And Snoopy cards !!!! AND the cheshire cat too - it's like a birthday and Christmas gift in one. AND AND a rat stamp too!!!! My heart is with the Geraldine McEwan and Margaret Rutherford, but I enjoy all of the different ones.
Response: Glad you liked everything! I also love Snoopy and Alice so it was fun to send:) Hope you are having a great summer!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful postcard with the bee, I love it ;) you tell me it has snowed on your side then I look out the window and it's 40* it seems so strange...are we that far away? hahaha thanks for using beautiful stamps :)
Comment: THANK YOU for joining me and for sending such a cool postcard!!! I love the Mandalorian! You should check it out. Finally Spring is here to stay. We had a lot of rain the first week or so of May. A lot! Hope all’s well in Alberta!!! xoxo
Comment: Cool typewriter! 4 hatchlings have survived so far. Have moved them inside into a “turtle nursery” which is basically an aquarium! The fella who lost his foot has been named “stumpy”, but its very hard to tell its gone!
Comment: Thank you for such a lovely postcard, Sarah! I'm in love with the paper, and your garden sounds absolutely gorgeous (ha - I almost wrote "smells" because I can practically smell it from here!).
Hope you have a lovely spring and many bees!!
Comment: What a lovely postcard, Sarah! Thank you so much! And I'm SOOO thankful that coldsnap is over and done with - the air vent for the water tank would freeze over every few hours and I'd have to go outside to clear it 😭 Thank goodness that's done with! I was also wondering if you used a typewriter for my address? I loooove it 💙
Happy swapping and best wishes!
Response: Glad to hear the weather has improved for you too, I’m thankful there was no significant work like that for us! I did use a typewriter for the address label, I like to use my machine any chance I get:) Thanks so much for the rating, comment and the heart:)
Comment: Yay! You're resend just arrived! Thank you so much for resending. I love the pc and your message. Sean Connery as Dr. Jones was also one of my favorites of his works. I don't know that he had any movies that I didn't like. Thank you for the cute stamps and making me smile. :)
Response: Thanks for your patience:) Glad this one arrived! He was so talented, it was hard not to enjoy his performance, even if the movie wasn’t a favourite. Stamps are such tiny & perfect little pieces of art, makes the card more colourful and cheery:) Thanks too for the comments, rating & the heart!
Comment: Woohoo! Today my most welcome New Year swap arrived from you! Thank you so much for your sweet note and sharing a quote and the cool Elvis and Marilyn postcards! You made my day! 💞❤️🥂❄️🎉Happy New Year 2021 blessings Sarah to you and yours. Thank you again for a special swap.
Comment: What a pretty postcard and good story behind it! I do hope all’s well with your friend though. Safe travels and enjoy the holidays!!! Thank you for joining my swap! (Postcard stamps are super cheap in the US, right?!!)
Comment: Wow, 3 hours of snow shoveling already! Not something I'm looking forward to. Thankfully we've only had dustings of snow so far. It was nice to get your big Scottish postcard. Well done, I wouldn't have guessed it was a Cut n Paste. I hope you get to explore the moors of Scotland someday. :) Nov 22 update: we got about 8 inches of snow!
Comment: Thanks for the chunk and your note.
We had unseasonably warm temps around Halloween too. We are paying for it now. I cataloged my DVDs by title but, it is an Excel spreadsheet, so I can do a lot with it. I'll email you about it.
Comment: Hi Sarah! Thanks so much for your lovely letter. Yes, w/ my 30% off discount, it's hard to not buy all the beautiful papers that come into the bookstore. Recently I got a used (but doesn't seem like it...) book of folk art patterned papers. It comes with a CD, with I think templates on it. I can't wait to cut it all up, haha! Thanks too for the great PCs, (lotsa hearts to you for sending a Rhino!!) & the gorgeous Edward Gorey envelope. Such lovely happy mail. Take care & stay safe ;)
Comment: Hi Sarah! Thanks so much for the very interesting PC. I loved the stamps as well, as I don't often receive Canadian mail so I enjoyed admiring these postage stamps. How far are you in Downton Abbey now? I've been considering rewatching it. I finished it back in 2016-17 ish so it would definitely be fun to go back and watch it again. I enjoyed the movie, but I didn't really feel like it was necessary. Does that make sense? Anyways, I hope you're having a lovely day! -Virginia
Comment: Fantastic postcard. I love the whimsical cityscape illustration from the Art Journaling magazine. I especially like you made a shape card. Very nice. Always great to swap with you blubutterfly. Thanks!
Comment: Thank you for this amazing swap! How lucky am I to have your beautiful artwork on my envelope!!? Love all the flight stamps too - planes, bird and bee! Awesome! Enjoyed reading your note and thanks for the goodies. The Snoopy card is so cool and stickers too!! I cannot resist stationery either. I actively seek it out ha ha ha!! Have a nice weekend and thanks again for joining me!!! xoxo
Comment: I love the big long postcard. Reading the back I discovered that you made it. I'm very impressed. At first I thought it might be Newfoundland but the mountains in the background said otherwise. Beautiful postcard of Norway. Thank you blubutterfly. I'm also impressed that you really read through my profile. I hope you do try wandering/psychogeography, especially now that travelling is limited. You get to see your local environment through a new lens. For me, locally, I really enjoyed wandering through nice old neighbourhoods. They often have a more artsy community who have made some interesting things to look at, like "Porch Poetry".
Comment: Such awesome things you picked for This and That! I really like everything you picked. The "Donut Worry Be Happy" sticker is too funny...not sure where I will put it up but I will be saving it to find the perfect spot in my new craft room. I am looking forward to using my new feather bookmark as well for the next book I read :)
Comment: How did you come up with these? LOL I don't think I've read the book, so I'm happy to get it (I did like the movie) - I do miss the libraries not being open. The origami paper will be used (maybe not for origami, mind you) and the yarn will be very handy for the tags I make! I love the coin (can you tell me what it is?) Thanks for a very interesting swap❣️
Comment: What an interesting card. I really like this type of artwork. I enjoy Christmas themes any time and in this world turned upside down at the moment, I hear there are some communities with their Christmas lights on. I've also been watching Hallmark Christmas movies that are running on one of the channels I get. So your Santa card is most welcome!
Comment: Thanks for the fun chunk. The grandkids thought the beaver was great.
The Star Gazing Snowshoe tour sounds like a lot of fun. I got our several times, but not near as much as I used to. The past three winers have been poor. We get a lot of snow but then it rains or partially melts within two days. Temps reached 74F/23C the other day. For March in Maine, that is just wrong.
Comment: Thanks! I always enjoy a non-square card, and nice stamp assortment too! The Underwood Champion is a great looking typewriter, but I think I'm looking at 50s or possibly 40s models. I wasn't able to nail down a pic of a 1937. I THINK (but I'm not sure) that the Champion is one of the machines that you can find with the loopy cursive typeface. I've had an ongoing eBay search for over a year now, but all I ever find is Underwood Olivetti's. I do NOT want an Olivetti. I have a few 30s machines (mostly Royals) that I got over the last two years, but I haven't gotten to use them much. Oh, one last thing: there are more Canadians here in our park than Americans. Yay for us, tho, Minnesotans have the second most people here.
Comment: Love this Christmas Chunk! Dinno what route it took to get here.. I like to imagine that it went through all of Europe and saw some amazing sights! LOL Thank you so much! LOVE that you typed it on your new typewriter! How cool to have such a neat vintage feel!!
Hope 2020 is treating you well so far!
Comment: Thanks for the cute 'chunk'. It is truly a Christmas card for our part of the world.
We made a couple away visits before Christmas but the kids all came here for the holiday. It is always a good time.
Comment: Thank you so much Sarah for your beautiful envelope, the cool notecards and your lovely note. I love this time of year, where you can dream about the garden. After Christmas We want to look into what seeds to order for next year...what a joy! I wish you a wonderful Christmas and a joyful start of 2020. 💕
Comment: Thanks so much! I love "Naughty Little People" cards and the Queen Califia is great! Thanks for the extra pc's too (I just sent out the same Canada map card, so you've sent a replacement for me). Love the typed address label - I used to have one until I "lent" it to somebody and never got it back. Rotters.
Comment: Thanks so much for the cute Snoopy mummy card! I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! Ours is quickly approaching now too. The cold with it! Also love the postcards and other Snoopy card - you spoiled me!! Thanks so much for joining and hope your Halloween was fun! xoxo
Comment: Hi Sarah! Thanks for the greeting from Canada! Our local USPS is so strange. Apparently your postage stamp wasn't cancelled so they ran it through the machine to cancel it and it's postmarked "Phoenix, AZ." Thank you! xo
Comment: Your card gave me a smile. Like you, I am waiting for tomatoes to ripen. With 15 plants, I should be buried in them but with the wet summer like you...slowed things down a lot. My string beans just picked up production(think the deer is sick of eating them now!!) eating summer veggies in the winter is the best.
Comment: Hi! Thank you for the tea, note card and your note! We’ve had an incredibly nice summer - I think it’s to make up for last year’s!! I’ll bet the fresh raspberries are delicious. I could eat a ton of them, lol!!! Hope you’ll get a chance to sit outside on your deck!!! : )
Comment: Thank you so much Sarah for this beautiful space-themed postcard and for the stamps! They are absolutely gorgeous! And the card made me laugh :) This summer, we are planning to redecorate our living room, and we are having quite some fun doing the research and exploring our options! Have a great time in B.C. and happy summer!
Comment: Thank you for sending such a great "chunk" - I love it! (This is one of my favorite swaps!) I also always have much to do around the house and out in the yard. Right now my lilacs are blooming and my one little rose bush seems to be making a comeback. The sunflowers are still little sprouts but looking strong. Never enough time or money here either for all my projects!
Comment: Thank you for the great Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope card. I have seen these episode many times over the years. And have seen all of the new ones shortly after they came out in the theatres.
Comment: Thanks so much for the Glen Baxter card. I love his absurdly droll sense of humor! I also appreciate all the gorgeous stamps you used on your envie, Sadly, my evil mail delivery person slashed through all of them with the black marker she wields with apparent glee :(
Comment: Dear Sarah,
thank you for new keep calm to my collection! Awesome stamps! Spring has already arrived to our country, but nights and mornings are also still cold. Lavender in my mother's garden has successfully over-wintered for many years, I believe yours will be alright too ;-) All the best and have a nice day,
Comment: Thanks for this beautiful PC! You are right in that I have lots of mountains around me that go right down into the ocean. We have had no snow since before Christmas, except on the high mountains. Here has been only rain, rain, rain! We have a ew buds on the trees. So looking forward to all the wildflowers blooming! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: What a wonderful letter I received from you! I am tickled pink that you even found a Winnie the Pooh themed card to use...it is going up in my craft area for sure and the extra notecard you sent is too cute :) I wish you ongoing success towards your "resolutions" this year!
Comment: Your Godiva Box is very probably the sturdiest chunk of cardboard that I have ever received! Plus, truffles...jealous! Tell me - did you type the address label yourself? What kind of typewriter do you have? What else do you do with it?
Comment: Thank you so much for this wonderful letter filled not only with great tea and card but also with a long letter to read while sipping the first tea. Even the envelope was beautifully decorated and I love the stamps. Wish I could give more than one heart. Sorry for the late rating. Danke!
Comment: Love the Jetoy postcard you sent me, Sarah! Yes, you should frame them if you really like the designs since I do the same for whatever I buy myself as well. Thank you so much, and I hope you have a great rest of the month!
Response: So happy to hear you enjoyed the PC! I got a coupon last week for 55% off pictures frames at the local craft store, so I treated myself and bought two! Thanks so much for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thank you so, so much for the wonderful swap! I loved all the stamps you used, so much, but we must have met with a grumpy mail handler somewhere in the system. The front was covered with angry, ball pen marks all over the stamps...Love it anyway!
Response: Oh that is unfortunate that it met with a grumpy person, sometimes I get an envelope with tons of stamps and they've only bothered to cancel the top row. I'd like to think they would enjoy people buying and using stamps in this digital age!! Glad you could still enjoy though:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Hi Sarah,
Thank you for the fun and interesting card.
We are in the between times here... 87 degrees one day, 56 the next two, then back again. I'm more than ready for fall. It was a particularly hot summer here and I didn't like it.
Response: The weather here still hasn't decided between fall and winter...I'm hoping for a bit more fall!! Hope things have settled there for you:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you, the PC certainly fits the quirky, unusual, odd categories! It's been hot here, too, but with little rain. My first try with mosaics was a planter. The curves were a bit tricky. My second try was a square mirror frame, so it was a bit easier. I'm not sure I'll make any more mosaics. They were kind of fun to make, but I think I prefer other types of projects.
Response: The curves are tricky! But it was good to try something new, keeps things from getting dull! Hope your Sept is starting out well:) Thanks for the comment, rating & the ❤️
Comment: Hello and thank you for the PC , it took me a bit to figure out the swap as the rain water must have washed away the writing in the corner above Hello Jon. Anyways I love the stamps and the PC thank you! The rain has been insane here this past week
Response: Glad you were able to decipher! We have had a heart wave here, broken intermittently by torrential rain. Makes for good raspberries though:) Hope the weather is getting better out your way! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: I'm jealous of the rain and the raspberries!! It's so dry here that we get cracks in the ground before the rain even dries up, that is if we get any!! Been having a severe heat wave but then it is summer! Love the PC!! Thank you!
Response: We've just had a bit of a heat wave here, the smoke from the fires west of us has rolled in too. But it looks like it will be an excellent year for jam:) Hope the weather gets better for you! Thanks for commenting, the rating and heart:) :)
Comment: Sarah! I’m so sorry I never saved this rating!!!!
Thank you SO much for the beautiful envelope (which I’m saving!) and the profile related goodies!! I love all the textures on the envelope and fun, vintage stamps. Thank you so much for reading my likes on my profile and spoiling me! : )
Response: No worries, that can happen! I'm just glad it arrived, I bought a new postal scale and was worried maybe I didn't put enough postage, sometimes it takes Canada Post a long time to RTS here. Glad it arrived and you enjoyed:) I'm already looking forward to the next swap for this! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:) :)
Comment: thank you for the beautiful postcard. I love postcards that give a little history about the picture. I bet the wildflowers were beautiful. :) the day you were looking at the flowers in Canada, I was at a Texas Wildflower farm, great minds!
Response: Great minds! Exactly!! Hope you enjoyed the Texas wildflowers as much as we enjoyed the mountain kind here in Alberta:) Thanks for the lovely comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Thanks so much for this but I really hope u didn’t destroy a Disney dvd box. Lol. Thanks ! And love the stamps and here in Georgia it is stifly hot. Have a good day!
Response: Technically I did destroy the box...but at least it got a second life as a PC instead of going straight to the recycle! We have had to reorganize our DVD collection into binders as we just had too many to keep in cases on a shelf. Thanks so much for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous collage on vellum paper! It is so pretty, I’m saving it in my journal! I love the bird! I love love love all the goodies you sent me! Each one a huge favorite of mine. I appreciate it so much. Thank you for sending me such a fabulous swap - I am so lucky!!!!! Have a great weekend!! xxxxx
Response: So glad you liked it, and that It held up through the mail!! really enjoyed this swap, thank for hosting and thanks for the rating, comments and the heart:)
Comment: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to you, Sarah. Everything about your swap made me smile and do little happy dances across the floor. The Elliott Erwitt photo on your cleverly created "naked envelope pc" for starters, then the cool Lacroix notecard, the wonderful "Your Friend" billboard card, and then - the icing on an already delicious cake - one of my heart's desires: the Spaghetti Western man! There's a longer story about the appeal of that one, but let's just say it really tickles my quirky little funny bone. Thank you so much for going above & beyond & may we swap again soon.
Response: Very happy to hear you enjoyed it:)
It really was fun to put this swap together, just made my heart happy to send! Thanks so much for your comments, rating and hearts!!
Comment: I LOVE this blingalicious glittery foil-fantastic VEGAS postcard! Wow I love it so much!!
We haven't been to Vegas since 1997 so I am guessing it's changed considerably since then!! My favorite thing we did was the hiking and driving in the desert! I LOVED IT! ALso loved walking through all the casino hotels and marveling at the artwork on the ceilings!! My favorite was Ceasar's Palace with the GOLDOLA boat ride.. complete with Singing tour guide!! FUN!!!
Response: The great thing about Vegas is so much changes, but lots of things stay the same! We love to go and walk and see the familiar and new sights:) thanks so much for the comments, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Oh my, how I love your swap! You have been so generous and your enveloppes are amazing, thank you so, so much! I really loved the braille paper one, never seen one of those. Thanks for the goodies, too.
Response: I received one a long time ago and loved it so much I had to find some of the paper to make my own:) So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for the comment, rating and heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful PC! I’ve always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon! I definitely do have a lot of mountain cards, haha! I love the card and the washi! :)
Response: I hope you get to go! So many places to see:) Thanks for commenting, rating and the heart! I’m heading to the mountains soon, it’s always hard to avoid checking out the postcards in the little shops in Banff. I’m addicted lol!
Comment: I have no words to thank you and tell you how happy your envelope made (and makes) me!!! ♥︎ Your envelope is so beautiful and I love it! And things inside are lovely too! You are the best! ♥︎
Response: So glad it arrived and you are enjoying it:) I had fun putting it together. I knew I’d be able to use that green paper for something!!
Thanks so much for your comments, rating and the heart!!
Comment: I LOVE this card! Thank you so much!!! <3 I would love to live close to a gallery like this! Truly lovely!!
Response: We have a brand new art gallery in the city nearby, I’m waiting for a good rainy day to take my Grandmother in for a tour. Hoping they might have some ad cards in the foyer I can snag;) Thanks so much for the rating, comment and the heart!!
Comment: OMG, thanks for resending your chunk. Your postcard is better than I ever could have hoped for!!! I LOVE the chickens... I have always wanted to have some of my own! So awesome that you can participate in such a cool local program! Also... I LOVE the stamps you used!! Especially the cool embossed ones!! Thanks for such an amazing swap!! 💛💛💛💛💛
Response: Glad the resend arrived and you enjoyed it:) Thanks for your patience!! This swap is still one of my favourites, I love saving little chunks from various things in hopes of a cardboard PC swap! Thank-you for the lovely comments, rating and the heart💖
Comment: Thank you for the postcard! It is most certainly more spring-like now that April has rolled around! How bizarre to have snow so late in the year! Hope you are well. Happy swapping!♥
Response: We completely missed Spring!! It suddenly got very hot, up to summer temperatures, and the snow melted so quickly that we have flooding in places now. It’s going to be an interesting year I think! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card. It was great hearing from you again. At the moment I am starting to look forward to April as I will be going on leave as from the 9th of April. I'm so looking forward to it as my last day off/leave was April 2017. :(
Response: That's a long time to have no vacation! I hope it is extra awesome for you to have the time off:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Hi Sarah, thank you for the Dalek PC. I'm waiting for Spring also...it's snowing here today on the Island and the Annual flower count is in March :) peace love light
Response: Glad you enjoyed it:) I'm hoping that the old adage of "in like a lion, out like a lamb" pans out for the end of this month cause I'm tired of shovelling snow! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Clever! Did you drink out of this & recycle?
Response: Yes I did! Washed out the inside and glued a piece of cardstock on for a good writing surface. I just love the patterns they are making for the cups lately:) Hard to resist the 'everyday art'! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Love the Christmas card Sarah, the stickers too also the wonderful postage stamps used thank you very much. The Chamomile I bought to make my lawn is called Treneague it grows low and spreads and comes back year after year. I do buy some new plants if necessary to fill a hole or two, enjoy the feel of it beneath your bare feet and then smell the aroma it produces when crushed :)
Comment: Thank you this is a great postcard. I like the postage stamp too.
This Summer has been "off" weather wise.
We have the turtle called "Caretta Caretta". They nest on the island of Zakynthos that I know of.
Comment: Ahhhhhh! Thank you so, so much for this adorable Jetoy in the Birth of Venus card T_T So adorable and hilarious! I also love the washi and typewriter address decoration and your turquoise ink! Thank you for saving a favorite card for me ♥ I am planning for a trip next year when a collection of Boticelli paintings come to the US for the first time -- although I still hope to visit the Uffizi Gallery one day. Thank you for brightening this gloomy Monday!
Comment: When I pulled out your envelope I thought to myself this is such a beautiful envelope!! Thank you Sarah. I would also like to say a big thank you for the rubber stamps you included - WOW they are very beautiful. Thank you for making my day xx
Comment: Thank you for your lovely postcard and stamp (too bad the stamp got scribbled on).
Response: I've been super lucky lately, almost all the hand-made cards I've received have stamps that didn't get cancelled! Hopefully the luck catches on and you have some extra happy mail days coming up! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: I love the Caterpillar! He is my favorite AIC character 😃 what luck to receive such a cool pc! Hope your bulbs have come up safe! Most of mine were blooming when our last snow hit, tulips didn't take it well but other types did.
Response: Happy to report my bulbs made it! They are popping up with their green parts now, flowers are probably still a week away but so happy they didn't die over the winter! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart, I can't decide if it's the Caterpillar or the Cheshire Cat that is my favourite!
Comment: Such a beautiful up cycled PC. Thank you so much!
Response: Glad it arrived, I think it must have been delayed somewhere along the line as it was later arriving to my other partner as well. Thanks for your patience, comment and rating!! Happy swapping:)
Comment: What a cool PC! What is the name of this set, if you don't mind my asking? It's just a cool subject matter (guys in the locker room if you don't remember, lol)
Response: I totally love this set, sadly it's out of print now but I saw one recently on eBay, missed the auction by a day! It's called "50 Postcards, pictures by Elliot Erwitt". I wish I had bought two sets but I think it was the first set I ever bought to start swapping on swap-bot and didn't know how awesome it would be! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart, I am so happy you enjoyed the card!!
Comment: Thank you very much for the wonderful postcard, love it! :) I had hoped to sometime get a Dr who postcard from that set :D I have the same, but plan to send them all out eventually (I collect only written cards) so it is great that I will still have one of them after having sent all out :) and I really liked the episode from the card :D
Here the summer term has just started last week (and will end in the middle of summer), before I had "holidays" (but with a seminar/exams). Spring doesn't really want to stay here, sometimes it's nice warm and sometimes cold like in winter again :D I wish you all the best! Have a wonderful day :)
Response: I feel the same about that set! I have received one or two back in previous swaps, I need to find a better system for keeping the written on cards though! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart! Hope you are having a good mail day:)
Comment: Thanks for all the awesome happiness 😋 I love old Mad magazines. I recently got a few at my local shop from the 70s and 80s and they are still funny. I love that this issue has Star Trek and Alf in it. The Where's Waldo postcard is super cool. Love the note. I recently found and started using my grandfather's old 1970 Hermes 3000 and I love it. It is so fun to type on and I think the mistakes are kind of fun. Screw correction ribbon. What kind of typewriter do you have? Hope your arm is alright and have a great day, Nathan
Response: You're so welcome! The Star Trek & Alf pages were my favourite as well:) I was using my Underwood, circa around 1935 (as best as I can tell), it looks exactly like the black one on my profile page and has the best "ding!" at the end of a row:) I have a little travel Hermes too but the carriage lift has a tiny issue I haven't figured out how to fix yet. It's awesome that your typewriter has provenance for you though, that's so cool! Mine have been eBay/antique mall/kijiji finds so no clue as to their history. Hope your week has been great, Happy Friday!
Comment: Thank you for the nice bear postcard, Im surprised they would let you have such a nice touristy card for free :)
I also like the little map on the backside, that seems quite unique!
Response: I think it's to promote education as there isn't always great understanding of bears and their habit here. I was surprised too but I think using them would be better than the cards just sitting gathering dust so I was happy to take a few off her hands:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Thanks for the great weird PC, I love it! Sorry to hear one of your parenters was suspended from another swap, and can't rate! I had that happen to me for a few swaps (no ones I hosted, but you really never know when that can happen!) and its not fun. Im glad you recieved a good strange postcard in return though!! Thanks for this one, love the musical urinals! It was wonderful swapping with you again! :)
Response: Yup it's mostly unpredictable and random that's why it's nice to send to 'known entities' every so often! Glad you liked the card:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: The awesome card arrived in today's mail :) Love that it's a vintage cook book cover print - looks like you even typed the address label using a typewriter! nice touch! :) Beautiful stamps too :) Thank you very much :)
Response: I admit to using any reason to get my typewriter out! Great for address labels especially as I don't have the neatest handwriting;) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great communication and resend! I love cats and Jetoy and just got a new cat named Sookie. We are expecting a snowstorm tomorrow and a huge drop in temperature from the mild temps we have been having. Take care. I hope your holidays are wonderful!
Response: Hope the weather is getting better for you guys as Spring approaches! Thanks for your patience, comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thank you for the weird/ugly postcard. It looks like a strange little hedgehog and I've been trying to convince the husband that I need a hedgehog in my life! Also…thank you for the surprise package of Jelly Babies. I'm happy in Georgia right now :)
Response: It's fun to send random stuff every once in awhile:) Glad it was enjoyed! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: This unique hippo card is totally a new favorite of mine. Thank you!! I hope you were able to plant all of this tulips. I bet it will be an amazing sight come Spring. :)
Response: Glad you liked it! I thought it was unique and you'd enjoy it:) I did get the tulips planted! Yay! Something to look forward to at the end of the winter. Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful large pc. I love the picture of The New Yorker. Have a wonderful week.
Response: I'm trying now to figure out how to reuse all the daily calendar sheets from that calendar, they are just to colourful and interesting to throw out! Glad you liked the PC:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Of course, after I asked, it arrived the next day. :) Its a great pc. I can't believe she let you take as many as you wanted. lol Thanks!
Response: Yup I was sort of surprised but it didn't look like the stand of ads and such was well visited so I didn't feel bad about taking a small stack;) Glad it arrived and was enjoyed! Thanks for the rating and the heart😊
Comment: Thank you for your "not a postcard!" I was shocked to see it seems to have reached me in almost pristine condition (not even a stamp cancellation), especially considering the giant notch... but now I have to ask, was it glued to something? The back is shiny, & very lightly tacky, so that makes me wonder if it looks different now than when you sent it out.
And yes, I did have a wonderful summer...and am now holding on to what's left of it before I pine for spring to be here! :)
Response: Still sorry that this one didn't make it intact! Next of this type will be getting double reinforced with some serious adhesive! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving:) Thanks for your understanding, rating and the heart
Comment: Sarah, your mail art is brilliant! I love that the envelope was made using paper from a Braille magazine. Super cool & unique! Thank you for all the awesome goodies! I love them all! The 3-dimensional stickers are <3! I dont think i ever received a sticker as big as the butterfly ones you send. The notebook, postcards & extras are greatly appreciated as well. Thank you for all the effort you put into this swap! :) Many hearts your way~
Response: Awwww thank-you for the comment! I really enjoyed putting this swap together, can't explain it but sending mail makes me just as happy as receiving it:) Glad you liked everything! Thanks for the rating and the heart😊
Comment: Thank you Sarah!!! I love to have her as my partner again. I love Popcorn too! Although usually like popcorn when I watch movies and football, unfortunately not every Friday like you. :)) Have a great Weekend! You're Welcome!
Response: Popcorn is good anytime! Glad you liked the PC, hope you are having a great weekend:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the maxi Farm Egg card and wonderful stamps. Yes we are rural, no chooks tho. Dog found a snake under the house today, we have cows they love the dog, lick her and she climbs over them when they are sitting down for a cud chew. Regards from Aus, Jan
Response: I worry that our dog is going to find a skunk, less worrisome than a snake, but more smelly lol! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Wow what a fun card! The cookies look good and I love how you decorated it on the back with washi, a butterfly and beautiful butterfly stamp! What fun that all three of you went to see the Lady in the Van! Very cool! I loved the movie but then again I love Maggie Smith. She is a hoot! Thanks for the nifty card and note :D.
Response: Thanks so much for the comment, rating and heart:) Maggie Smith is pretty awesome! Hope you're having a good weekend!
Comment: Such an extra special package! Can't even thank you enough! I'll think of some especially nice place for your trackable to start it's journey!
Response: So glad it arrived! So far the postal service here is still working but also still threatening a strike so not sure how fast mail is really moving. The trackable has never been registered before, I hope it has an interesting journey!! Thank-you for the rating, comment and heart:)
Comment: I am SO excited!! I love this set, and it's always so hard for me to part with these cards so I'm always extra happy when I receive one of them!!! :) Thank you!
Response: I'm the same way! Someone once sent me the one with the weird dancing guy in the green monster/vegetable costume and I was so happy! Glad you enjoyed:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Hi Sarah I received your pocket letter and it was so exciting to see all of the items and decorations - sensory overload. I loved it and I hope we swap again sometime. Thanks for the stationery you seen too. Pat
Response: Thanks again for joining the swap, I know it was just the two of us but I still had a great time making and receiving a PL:) Thank-you for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Sarah, thank you for Beautiful postcard. I'm glad to have her as a partner again. Your other chunk card (travel theme) is on my bookshelf (I see and inspire me every day). I really appreciate your tastes and choices. I hope you can return to these swap chunk's again. Happy spring!
Response: What a lovely comment! Thank-you so much:) Glad you enjoyed the PC, this is still my favourite swap and always extra fun to send to international swap-botters!! Thanks for the rating, comment and the heart, I'm sure we will be partners again soon:)
Response: You are welcome! Some of the chunks I collect I just hate to have to cut smaller so I just put extra postage on, glad it arrived and was enjoyed. Thanks so much for the rating, comment and the heart:)
Comment: I received my lovely letter in such a cute envelope it was a shame to open it! I loved the content and hope to write as soon as possible, however it may be a bit hard due to finals approaching. Anyway - thank you for brightening my day up. :)
Response: Hope your finals are going okay! Best of luck to you, thanks for taking the time to rate and for the comment:)
Comment: Thanks for the funny design card, and sharing about your spring. The blue butterfly postage is nice too (matches your ID!). :)
We're having unusual warmer weather these days. Wont it be nice if there's such thing as weather exchange? We need a cooler spring! :}
Response: You are very welcome:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart! Canada Post lets people design their own custom postage so I was able to pick the butterfly and have it printed. My only wish is that I ordered more because it's fun to use them with swaps now and again:)
Comment: Thank you for this wonderful "not a postcard". Beer must have perfect packaging for this, for the "not a postcard" I sent was also a beer label ( different one) So nice to have this as a sent postcard now.
Response: Great minds think alike:) glad you enjoyed the swap! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you very, very much Sarah for the absolutely delightful PL, I love all of the enclosures and I can certainly put them all to good use! I cannot thank you enough for the very thoughtful way it was all packaged. You say it was your first attempt at a PL well I am most impressed! It was my first attempt at one as well.Your old fashioned type written note was lovely to see and wonderful to read and I aim to reply properly to it asap. Great postage stamps used on the envie too, ta. I wish I could give you more than the one heart for this very special swap it really brightened my day :)
Response: Thank-you so much for your kind words! It got to you faster than some of the swaps I've sent to Canadian addresses! I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed the swap:) Thanks for the rating and the heart, that really brightened my day!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard, Sarah! I'm sorry you had to re-send.
Response: Glad it arrived, no worries about resending, I've received a few things this week where the stamps didn't get cancelled so I'm ahead of the game still in postage:) Thanks for the rating and the heart!!
Comment: Perfect timing!!! I received your swap today! Pretty card and thank you very much for the Woodstock card (!) and wolf postcard!!! Seems like Spring has arrived here too and I'm glad!! Hope you've had a great day!!!! xxxx
Response: Glad it arrived in time! I was pretty sure you'd like the peanuts card, happy to hear!! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Wowww Sarah.. Obrigado! Thank you for the Wonderful "Chunk" cardboard(It looks postcard). I love theme from travel and your card make me very very happy! :) You're Welcome! Greetings from Brasil!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the 'chunk', I admit I have recruited my family in search of cool packaging to turn into PCs, they let me look through their recycling to pick out the good pieces:) Thanks for the comments, rating and the heart!!
Comment: I LOVE this chunk o cardboard! HOW COOL!! Thankyou!!!
VERY cool WE DO have a lot in common!
Firstly I will Thank you for your Service! It means so much to know that there are people out there who are fighting for justice and protecting us!
Sending lots of thanks your way! You will be in my thoughts a LOT!
Let me know when you are in NYC again... we should meet! I'd love to be friends and write back and forth on postcards, email and chunks of cardboard !!!
Response: Hey Gabi:) Glad you enjoyed the PC! Thanks for the lovely comments!! Will send you a PM, I don't think I put my return address on the PC but would love to exchange correspondence:)
Comment: Love this card!!! I have the SAME set of PCs, and I love them, but I never know who to send them to ... and I don't keep them for myself so I am pumped to have the eff off one back in my collection!! :)
Response: Yay!!! Glad you liked it:) I got one back in a swap awhile ago and was so happy, it was the one with the man in the strange green monster type costume. Thanks for the comment, the rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thanks for the funny card! I've had that card box in my cart on Amazon for a while - it looks so funny! Love the bird stamp too!
Response: Glad you enjoyed it! I figured you would like the stamp, it's from a set supporting the humane society:) The box set has some truly bizzare postcards but a few that are also quite funny and clever. Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Wow you really made my day! What a great chunk o cardboard!...Thank you so much!....You sound really ambitious...i am impressed. I didnt make any new years resolutions, I try to change things when I get the idea! Have some awesome runs this year!
Response: Glad you liked the PC, this is one of my favourite swap series:) This month was an accidental half-marathon, it was the only race available this month! March will be a 5km, thank goodness!! Thank-you for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: I love the typewriter PC, so cute! Check Amazon for used Poirot DVD sets. I've gotten several sets of 3 for $ .01 + $3.99 shipping. Crazy but true, and they've all been in really good condition!
Response: Thanks for the tip, I ordered a set from Amazon, just waiting for it to arrive!! Thank-you for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: That is super cool to receive Belgium in the world. I don't do resolutions but I put a joking/sarcastic one on my page to remind me to read and respond to my comments/rates in a timely fashion!
Response: I made a chart to remind myself who I need to send to and rate, part of my 'be more organized' resolution. Now I just have to remember to keep filling my list out. I've gone to rate and realized I already rated lol! Glad you liked the PC!! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thanks for the great map card! I love my EC planner. I have the vertical layout, but almost got the horizontal this year. I like having the three vertical buckets - one for work, school, and life. I'm a complete sticker addict with my planner. My husband says I have a pretty sticker book and not a planner :)
Response: I'm a planner sticker addict too! Etsy is a blessing and a curse lol. Glad you liked the card:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Hi Sarah! I love, love, love your free/ad card from the Royal Alberta Museum! Elephants are a favorite and this one is so majestic!! Thanks for the wonderful Monday Happy Mail!! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: It's one of my favourites, I wish I had thought to grab a few more when I saw them but it was before I knew about 'ad card' swaps! Happy to hear you liked it too:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Thanks for the great card! It almost doesn't look like a foodpackage :-) Beautiful stamp too.
Response: I love the 'upcycling' PC swaps:) I have a substantial collection of interesting packages and cardboard that I like to give a second life. Glad you liked it! Thanks for the rating,
Comment and the heart:)
Comment: Nice chunk! I like your decorative paper backing. I spent a little bit of time reading the "features" of the "item" trying to guess what it was, before looking too closely at the picture. It made me laugh! Is this bear in your yard?
Response: Glad it arrived:) The bear is in the front yard, for awhile he looked quite funny because there was no snow here! Thanks for the rating and the heart:) Happy New Year!!
Comment: I like the special pc... my country sell eggs in plastic... thanks
Response: Glad it arrived, I just love then fun pictures on the eggs we get, we have the plastic kind too but that company only uses easily recyclable containers. Hope you are havi bra good day, thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Wow! Sarah, you made me feel so special to find you large mauve envelope in my mail box! And you are a genius to send your beautiful mail art envelope in an enclosed plastic cover. The envelope arrived in perfect condition. Loved all the items you sent to me: your card, letter, lovely ribbon & heart note card, brightly colored deco tape, & cute black bear postage stamp! Fabulous mail art package for the swap! Happy Autumn to you in Canada!
Response: So happy to hear it made it to you safely, that is the first time I have tried the wrap! I had lots of fun with this swap and I am glad you enjoyed everything:) thanks so much for be comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: I loved all the NYC pictures! Especially all the sqaure prints, so cool and I love the frames around them very cool effect! I went to NYC back in 2002, so it was interesting to see some of the same places I visited back over ten years ago. I think my favorites were also all the spontaneous street pictures, and the architectural city view! Thank you for sharing and happy swapping!
Response: Happy to hear you enjoyed the pics, I can't wait to go back and take some more:) thanks so much for your comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Hi Sarah! I received your mail art envelope today!! I love it! The New York Postcard is AWESOME! Thank you so much. Like promised, I rate on quality not the postal services mess up! Thank you again, I will let you know if the other envelope turns up! Happy Swapping
Response: Hey there! Thanks so much for your patience and for the comment & heart:) I sent a note to your inbox before I checked my profile, had a feeling it should arrive right around now and very happy to hear it did:)
Comment: Sarah, Thank you for the elephant museum art postcard and beautiful postage stamps for my album.
Response: You are very welcome! I think it's one of the nicer ad cards that I've found because it really was meant to be used to mail. Glad you enjoyed the stamps:) thank-you for the comment and the heart!!
Comment: Thank you for the HUGE chunk! I love the stamps (especially the dragon) and your circle pattern art. Barbados sure does sound nice as a destination!
Response: I have been lucky in my travels so cannot complain, mostly it's the travel companions that have made the trips so much fun:) Glad you liked the PC and stamps, the dragon is one of my favourites. It was the year of the dragon in 2000 and 2012, nine more years to go until there are more dragon stamps! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Sarah, I LOVED your envelope. Everything about it. Thank you so much for adding a few caf. free teabags. Have a wonderful day !
PS : if you order these envies online, can you please tell me on which site ?
Response: Hi there! Thank-you for the lovely comment, rating and the heart. This was a fun swap to work on. I hand make most of my envelopes as it's hard to find the colours I want for a specific swap/project that are the right size.
Comment: Wow, a card made out of a coffee cup! Super cool, thank you!
Response: I've been getting everyone to save their cups for me here, they just came out with more patterns last week, I am becoming an up-cycled PC queen!! Lol. Hard to resist fun materials:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: I love the post card. Thank you so much. The Daisy is my favorite flower. Love butterflies too. I plant the yard full flowers that attract butterflies and my kitty tries to catch them. Funny seeing him run and jump looks like he is doing ballet. Thanks again.
Response: It's funny, my dog is better at catching flies than my cat for all his jumping around. The dog just lays there and then suddenly 'snap'! Grabs one out of the air! Glad to hear you enjoyed the PC, hope your garden is still doing well:) thanks for the comment and the heart!!
Comment: Thanks for the nice chunk, blue butterfly stamp and the typewritten address label (love it!).
Response: You are welcome! I worry less about having postcards getting lost in the mail when I do the typewritten label, not sure if it helps but I like to think it does:) thanks for the comments, rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks, Sarah! Great envelope, I almost didn't want to open it... how did you do those bumpy things? Thanks for the terrific old postage too... I have lots of old Canadian stamps, but I don't have any of those (and Canada Post didn't cancel these). Thanks too for the extra cards, I love "Adventure is Calling"... you must have had a peek at my profile page. Hope spring has finally arrived in AB! See you in the mail!
Response: Spring is trying it's hardest out here, still a bit of snow left to melt but we're getting there! The paper I used for the envelope is recycled from an old braille magazine. Another swapper introduced me to braille paper last year and I found some at an auction so now have my own stash:) canada post seems to be missing cancelling stamps a lot lately as I have received several that are unmarked! Thanks so much for the comment, rating and the heart!! Hope all is well with you:)
Comment: Thank you for the great stamp card! Where did you get the butterfly stamp used for postage?! I have not seen that before. A new release?
Response: Glad you liked it! It's my first one ever! I had the butterfly stamps made by Canada Post, they cost more than normal stamps but I love custom stationary:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:) :)
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful PC! I love Birds of Prey and this one brought a big smile to my face! We are gearing up to head out to the island! Gotta get seedling started! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: Hope things have gone well on the island! Glad you enjoyed the PC:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Nice! I too love the art work on your 'second cup' coffee! Thank you for sharing & for the great postage stamps!
Response: You are welcome. This was one of my favourite homemade PC swaps, I was hoping they would still have those cups when I went for a tea recently but I only ever got that one with the blue paper so it is 'one of a kind' PC! Thanks for her comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: This the best food pkg pc I've ever gotten! Thank you!
Response: Thanks so much for the comment! I knew that wrapper would make a good PC the moment I saw it. Love these swaps because it makes me look at everyday things differently:) thank-you for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: 1) I'm sorry for the late rating, but I wasn't at home. I have been to Costa Rica for 23 days. 2) Many thanks for the awesome egg wrapper. I so love it. It's one of the most special food packages I ever received! Wow, a waiting list of 2 years is very long! But it was worth it :-) The stamps you used were beautiful too! Great to hear you went to Antarctica. I've seen so many of it on the internet, I would love to see it in real life. The problem is, my man don't want to go.
Response: Hope your trip was awesome! That is one of my favourite PCs too, I almost wanted to ask for extra wrappers when we picked our eggs up last time but they were all out. Hopefully your man warms up to the idea, it really is an amazing journey and it's great to share it with someone special. Thanks for the comments, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Thank you for the dr. Who postcard! I'm actually behind on walking dead. We're gonna buy the next last season & have a marathon. Same for Dr. Who.I don't get to watch tv much.thanks so much again!

Response: You are welcome! I love my typewriter, glad you liked the label and stamps:) thank-you very much for the comment rating and the heart:):) the craft room is one desk away from being done, I'm very excited!!
Comment: Hold the presses - your postcard arrived today! :) Great stamp, by the way. I received only the stamped postcard with the message, but I'm sure the other of half of the swap is on the way! Thanks for the good communication on this swap. :)
Update 02/22/15 - your envelope with the postcards and your return card FINALLY came today! Unbelievable. I'm sending your card back to you first thing tomorrow. Thanks again for a great swap!
Response: Yay part one arrived!! Hopefully part two will be there soon. Thanks so much for your patience. I had those stamps made, wish I had ordered more because they turned out well I think, glad you liked it:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart! If the envie doesn't arrive in the next few days just let me know and I'll package up another for you!
Comment: Hello & thank you for the your wonderful PC! It is very colorful & unique. No I am sorry that I have not Heard of the 365 project. I can see how helpful it would be in journaling tho. I however do take tons of pictures year around as the mood or subject strikes me.
I liked your postage stamps you used too:-)
Best if the New Year to you too:-)
Response: The project is challenging for sure, I take lots of photos but not always very good ones! Glad you enjoyed the PC:) Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Gorgeous owl postcard and amazing stamps! Thank you! You're so lucky to see owls! I thought I was lucky to see a downy woodpecker on my bird feeder this week, lol!!! Thank you for the good wishes! I hope your year has been great so far!! xxx
Response: Glad you liked the card, I have had it for awhile but hadn't found just the right swap for it until this one! I can't believe it is already February!! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thank you for the special foxcard! There are no big vintageshops around here. I have to drive one hour, but that one is great! ;) Have a great day, Sarah
Response: You are very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Having at least one vintage shop is better than none, I'm lucky to have a few but it's bad for my wallet lol. Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Sarah, thank you so much for the multi view postcard of Alberta, Canada. A lot of very interesting things. There is a decorated egg on the card, what is the significance of the egg? Is it Russian or Polish? I would be very interested in knowing more about it. Shirley
Response: The egg is actually a very cool story, one of the design components used to build it was eventually used to build the tiles that are used on space shuttles! It's a Ukrainian Easter egg called a Pysanka (largest in the world) and represents the many Ukrainian immigrants we have here in Alberta. It is built out of small metal tiles and it moves in the wind like a weather vane. The egg is about 30 min from where I live and there is Slovak/Ukrainian heritage in my family so I know a bit more about it:) glad you liked the card! Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:) :)
Comment: Hi Sarah! I got "Stellah Kellah" mail today!!! Thank you so much. It was a crazy long a** day, and a real treat to find your swap in my mailbox. I loved the fun envie, and what you did with the notepaper in the card. I'm totally copying that idea, btw. And the Banksy rat? Get outta here. Thank you for making my day. Gee whiz. (I'm totally writing you back).
Response: Yay! Glad it arrived and brought some goodness to a crazy day. I had fun putting it together, you always send such great swaps so I knew you'd appreciate receiving something made just for you! Thanks for the awesome comments, rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thank you Sarah!! I love this Doctor Who Postcard!! <3 11 is my favourite but I have a fondness for 10, 2,9 and now 12 as well!
Sending warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy 2015 !! <3
Response: I had a tough time deciding which to send as I have a few so I'm happy to hear you liked it! I hope you had a great Christmas and that 2015 is awesome:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart! Maybe I'll catch you in the next DW PC swap:)
Comment: What a cool close up. I love that it fits the butterfly theme from your username!
Response: It was totally random too, I was getting the lawn mower out to mow the front when I spotted the subject. Still one of my favourite photos from my iPhone:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:) :)
Comment: Love this card! It looks like an actual postcard! Good choice, thanks!
Response: I almost wanted to save it for a collage for that reason but it was just too good to keep and perfect for this swap. Glad it arrived and was enjoyed:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Love the address label I want to find a typewriter to use one day.
Response: Thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:) I found that typewriter at one of the antique malls not far from my house, it's from the 1930's and in perfect working condition. Love it for making address labels because my handwriting is kind of awful lol!
Comment: I always love your chunk of cardboard swaps:) I have been lucky yo have you as a swap partner a few times. The paper and the story that goes along with them is always fun. Thank you for the happy mail!

Comment: Thank you so much for resending love the paper and the post it..also your other one finally made its way here. I wonder what happened to it?
Response: Glad they arrived! Better two than none:) I cannot recall but I may have mailed the first one from the farm which is a tiny little country post office. Thanks for your patience, rating, and the heart!!
Comment: I absolutely love the envelope you created for this swap! It was such a joy to receive it. I expect this travel bug will go on many great journeys, I just need to find the perfect spot to let him go. Thank you for everything. :-)
Response: Yay it arrived! Thanks for the rating, comments and the heart:) I hope the TB has a grand adventure. Oddly,
one of mine that totally dropped off the radar only a few weeks after I released it while on vacation in Barbados turned up again just last week (it's been four years!!). Happy swapping and caching!
Comment: Oh, I wished I lived close enough to get some of your extra lettuce, I eat so much salad! I hope you enjoy your trip to California! It's been so warm here lately! Thanks for the card!
Response: I was so surprised that the few plants I bought produced so much! I would certainly share if you lived closer, it would be fresh lettuce almost every day! Thanks for your comment, rating and the heart:)
Our trip was short but very good. It was actually warmer here at home than in San Francisco which was a pleasant change!
Comment: What a fabulous envelope AND stamps, AND contents!!!!!! I'm over the moon with this one! The Jetoy letter and postcard made me smile - - - --T h a n k - y o u !
Response: I had fun with this one, you have a great profile which helped me pick something I knew you'd like:) happy it arrived safely and you liked everything! Thanks for the comments, rating and the heart, really made my day today:)
Comment: So very cool! Did you add all the bling? I'm afraid to send chunky pc's thru the mail but yours survived ;) Thank you so much for sharing it with me. Have a great summer!
Response: The bling came with the card, I was a bit worried about it going thru the sorting machines but it was so pretty I wanted to give it a shot! Glad it arrived:) thanks for the comments, rating and the heart!
Comment: Hi Sarah!! Thanks for the very nice Chunk O Cardboard ~ love graham crackers. But good luck on finding a replacement for Oreo Cookies, not sure there is one, lol Love the postage stamps, I don't get a lot of mail from Canada for some reason. Sounds like you have a great start on your garden ~ my favorites would be tomatoes and sweet corn on the cob! We've had a lot of rain, gets really hot and humid most of the day and then thunder storms in the evening. Again, thanks for the postcard ~ Best wishes, Judy
Response: You are very welcome, thanks for the comments, rating and the heart! The sweet corn is waist high now and the tomatoes are busy putting another set of flowers out:) fall will be yummy!
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful photocard! I love the peaceful atmosphere, it's almost as I could touch it :) It usually doesn't take quite this long from Canada to Finland but our mail system has been weird lately so I think that has something to do with that!
Response: Glad it arrived and you enjoyed it. It's one of my favourite images, I have it on my day planner so I see it every morning:) thanks for the comment, rating and the heart!!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. The squirrel is beautiful. It is very cold and windy here today. There are lots of leaves and small branches on the ground. Sitting inside by the heater is the best thing for me to do today.
Response: Glad you liked it! Hope the weather has improved:) thanks for the rating , comment and heart!
Comment: I really love s'mores AND the French language and your card has both! I hope your garden does well. I do not not do well with plants! I wish I did! I love vegetables!
Response: It is the unique thing about some of the Canadian chunks o cardboard:) glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for the comment, rating and the heart! The vegetables are trial and error. Lettuce? Growing like crazy...pepper plant? Already on its last legs lol! It remains a learning experience:)
Comment: Beautiful moose!! You're lucky to see them there! It sounds like you're enjoying the weather and your bike! Yay!! It's nice and hot here too. I love it!! It was nice "meeting" you and I hope we swap again! : ) Thank you!
Response: We saw a bear last week too! He was on our front porch!! He was enjoying the weather too lol. Thanks for the comment, rating and he heart:)
Comment: Thanks very much for your very happy snail mail envie! I hope you had a nice trip; the shop in Ottawa sounds amazing. The sheet of braille is really interesting...can't stop running my fingers over it. :)
Response: Ontario has way better stationary stores than Alberta (it's not fair!!). The braille came from an eBay auction, I wish I could read it. Thanks for the comments, rating and heart!!
Comment: Thank you for the great card.. good luck with your bees we have several bee keepers in this area. I knew about honey ,, also infants and young children should NOT have honey as they are unable to digest it correctly,, but it is wonderful resource.. especialy in making baklava,, yum
Response: Honey is good for lots of things but my favourite is just to eat a spoonful:) and no sharing with the little ones means more for me;) thanks for the comments, rating and heart!!
Comment: Hi Sarah - Thank you very much for your lovely envie. I really enjoyed your zine (cool format), and all your interesting photos and stories. Thanks for sharing. You are an expert typist :D Where do you find your typewriter ribbon? P.S. Cool stamps, thank you!
Response: Glad you enjoyed everything! I was worried because I've never made a zine before!! I have had luck with eBay, Amazon and typewritersupply.com for typewriter ribbons, I have three vintage machines all of which take different spools (of course!). I think amazon had the best shipping although the spools were plastic. Thanks for the comments, rating and heart:)
Comment: Thanks so much, Sarah, for your lovely envelope full of awesome goodies! And I really enjoyed your travel zine! So many interesting photos and memories! Thanks for sharing them with me! Have a wonderful week! :)
Response: Thank-you for the comments, rating and heart! This was my first zine so I wasn't sure how it would turn out! Hope June has been good to you so far:)
Comment: What a wonderful postcard of Moraine Lake!! The blurb on the pc says that Moraine Lake is better than Lake Louise view-wise. I have been to Lake Louise .. so this means that I have to go and see Moriane Lake one day. :-) Cheers and thanks again for a great card.
Response: You are welcome, thanks for posting on your blog! I need to get to the mountains more often myself! We are planning a motorcycle trip once the weather is nicer, it's the best way to see the Rockies!
Thanks for the comments and the heart:)
Comment: Wow what a great package. I really like the journal and the envelope you sent it in was really nice. The map theme was a wonderful choice. :)
Response: Glad it arrived safely! I was trying to avoid it being a small packet as then would have to put a big sticker over the design. Happy to hear you like it, thanks for the comment, rating and the heart:)
Comment: THANK YOU for this absolutely amazing piece of mail! There is not one bit of what you sent me that isn't gorgeous! (Did I handle the double negation correctly there? xD ) I love love love the shimmery castle envelope with the super cute dragon! And your typewriter from the 30's is way cool! I'm confess I'm jealous ;) And thank you so much for all the cute things you sent me! This envelope really made my day! (So many exclamation marks in this message.. I promise, I'm not crazy, just excited!)
Response: I really loved making the envelopes for this swap, so glad to hear you liked everything!! I think the mail art swaps are the best because you can go to the mail box and see something colourful and happy waiting for you:) Thank-you very much for the comments and the heart:) :)
Comment: Everything was so lovely! ♥ Thank you for such a sweet and thoughtful swap -Such a nice note on beautiful stationary, fantastic postage stamps, and a glorious pc from my lust list -Yay, ha ha, Aw, Thank You so much! :D Your Californian treasure book set sounds wonderful, btw (blue cloth covers -yum!) hee hee. Wishing you the very best of the season♥ Take Care
Response: Glad you liked everything, always fun to share with another Jetoy fan:) Thank-you for the comments, rating and the heart:):) I am trying to curb my encyclopedia collecting habit but it's soooo hard!!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Dr Suess PC. I really love it as I believe it is Horton hears a Who..lol. I hope you are able to enjoy the Tulip Festival while you visit Ottawa. Do you know my Mother was a nurse and some of her early nursing pins were made of gold. It is because of her that I am eagerly seeking the Fums Up Touch wood lucky military charm =D. Thank you again for everything and I just love the postage stamps you used on the PC
Response: Happy to hear you liked it! I can't remember where I got it but thought it was bright and happy:) I looked up the charm you mentioned, there seem to be lots of metal ones but the vintage wooden ones are harder to find. I will keep my eyes peeled. My nursing pin isn't at all like the ones the ladies used to receive, it's actually not even a 'pin' anymore:( it's has a magnet on it and a doesn't stay on very well. Ah the good old days!! Thanks for the comment, rating & the heart:)
Comment: Ireland sounds great to me, too! I loved reading about the green glens and the train ride across the country. "Danny Boy" was my dad's favorite song, it was Irish: "Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side..."
Thanks for prompting the memory, too!
Response: My husband and I used to have a tape of Irish songs from a performer we saw when were first dating and he sang that song! Thanks for the comment and the heart:)
Comment: Hi Sarah, Great card! I love those cookies & they always have a display of them in the store where our post office is... and I go there every day! I mostly try not to buy them but today I'm putting them on my list!!!
Love the old postage stamps too. Thanks muchly!
Response: They are hard to resist! The recent postage price increase has made me get a bit more creative with finding older postage on sale so I've been having fun with stamps lately:) thanks for the rating and the heart!!
Comment: Thanks so much for such a lovely swap, Sarah! Your envelope was absolutely gorgeous and I loved all the notecards you sent!! I also enjoyed reading about your garden. I would love to grow my own veggies but I have the blackest thumb!! LOL! Hope you have a great week!! :)
Response: Happy to hear you enjoyed this swap:) I've been finding that veggies are often trial and error. Lost a whole patch of potatoes last year, made me happy the box of seed was only $2.99!) thanks for the rating and the heart!!
Comment: This was a really fun swap to receive - THANK YOU for such a cool package. Your efforts rendered me speechless! I enjoyed reading your answers, and seeing how you laid them out in the Smash book. I'll be looking at this book over and over again. It's a good thing it's kind of late at the moment, otherwise I'd be tempted to run out for a Smash journal and some glittery gel pens. Thank you for such a great mail day! (Oh, and I agree with you re the tailgating; it's super annoying)
Response: Found that smash book marked down a few dollars and figured it would be great for your swap. It was fun to think of my answers! Thanks for hosting and for the comments & heart:) :)
Comment: Wow, thanks so much for the great Singing in the Rain card! It just arrived. The stamps are amazing--especially that 1949 one of Halifax and the Year of the Dog. I'm with you as far as the blessing/curse of eBay and letting stamps go. I just figure the important things come back again in some way. Also liked your motivational stamp quote! Thanks again!
Response: Glad you liked the card & stamps! Because postage prices have gone up here I've had a good excuse to find/acquire some older postage:) thanks for the comment and the heart!!
Comment: Beautiful photo postcard of the Recoleta Cemetery! Thank you so much, I love it! I hope you will consider joining my Cemetery Photo Swap. Thanks again.
Response: Glad you liked it:) it's only the start of a collection, will need to build up a better supply before doing a larger swap but thanks for thinking of me and thanks for the comment and the heart!
Comment: I love the postcard you sent. I use to feed the birds here but the seed on the ground attracted mice and they started getting in the house. We stopped feeding the birds and seldom see a mouse now. Thank you for the postcard.
Response: The birds do tend to make a mess! I feed them in our front yard and the rabbits come for what the birds drop, I guess maybe mice do as well but so far none in the house (we have cats though so maybe they skip our house!). Glad you liked the card:) thanks for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. I agree, I'm in the swap for the paper! Beer boxes have some of the neatest designs.
Response: I do look at my recycling a little differently since I discovered these swaps! I've actually found myself looking at things in the grocery store as much for the box as for the food/drink! Thank-you for the rating and the heart:)
Comment: Thanks so much for the large Met postcard and stamps! There are some great ones I haven't seen before. Hope your 2014 is off to a good start!
Response: Glad you liked it:) This was a great swap! It's been almost a year now since I joined swap-bot. January this year has been way better with happy things in the mailbox:) Thank-you for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful envelopes and the Irish coin. I can't wait to use the envelopes...
Response: I love envelopes! Can't decide these days if I should make them from fun paper or use plain and embellish:) glad you'll be able to use them! Thanks for the rating, comment and heart:) Happy New Year!
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful uplifting letter and the Somerset magazine! It was very thoughtful of you to share your magazine and your experiences with me. I do feel a little better having read it! Thanks for your patience :) I'm looking forward to snowshoeing in a week or so -- we just got several inches (which I shoveled, corner lot with sidewalks :) and I hope it stays for a bit. I need to get some lighter shoes, still have the giant rawhide ones for people 6 foot and taller! Thanks again, and I hope that you have a very happy Christmas with your family, a wonderful 2014, and that Wicket gets his TARDIS :)
Response: Thank-you so much for the comments, the rating and the heart:) I feel your shovelling pain, I'm almost glad it is so cold here now as it means no snow for a few days! Hope January started out great for you:)
Comment: First I want to say thanks for the wonderful note, (always a fave with me) and such a beautiful envie. I love the texture you created. I got the Alice in Wonderland theme, also a favorite of mine. I wanted to say a special thanks for the wonderful scrabble tile necklace. A very nice surprise. You are very talented.
Response: You are very welcome! I had tons of fun with this swap, I love seeing a colourful piece of mail and creating one is even better:) Your comment made my day so thank-you for that, for rating and for the heart! Best wishes for 2014:)
Comment: Love the PC! Stared at it for a long time. Like you, I've often thought of what future people will think of what we leave behind LOL All the best for 2014!
Response: You make a good point! I sometimes wonder what a person might think if they saw my photos in an antique mall or thrift shop 50 years from now! Thanks for the rating, comment and the heart:) all the best in 2014!!
Comment: Thanks for the fabulous package. I loved the maps! I am a bit of a map freak. It's always fun to see what exists in other places.
Response: Glad it arrived safely! I also love maps and thought it might be neat to see a map along with the cards. I'm working on some map stationary too because I found two world maps (huge!) at the second-hand store for $2!! Thank-you so much for the comment, rating and heart:) Merry Christmas!
Comment: How nice that you got in on this swap. We are big fans of steel cut oatmeal, especially this year since it is our coldest local winter since 2007. Thank you for the cute baby porcupine stamp too.
Response: The steel cut has been recommended to us recently, I'm having some trouble finding it locally in the grocery stores though, might have to try online. I pretty much start everyday with oatmeal as it is very cold here too at the moment. Plus it works well in a snack sized thermos for 'on the go' type days! Thanks for not minding an international on this swap and thanks very much for the comment, rating and heart:) Merry Christmas!
Comment: Chocolate Caramels with Sea Salt... I love them but right now can't eat them -the caramels would pull my new Dentures out..
Response: They are quite chewy, my dentist says I'm not to have them anymore either as I have developed terrible tmj:( I'm thinking of cutting them in quarters and just waiting for them to melt in my mouth instead of chewing them! Thank-you so much for the rating & heart:) Merry Christmas!
Comment: Lovely little birdie PC. Thank you so much, and I loved the little bear stamp you used. PC update the first little pc came in, wonderful paper crafting.
Response: Glad they both arrived! Figures they'd arrive in backwards order though lol, I sent them at the same time. So pleased you like the first version, thanks very much for the comment, the update and the heart!! Happy swapping:)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card, I have never seen those stamps before. Thank you!!
Response: You are welcome! Usually when I order from overseas it's just a metered postage sticker but this time it was a half sheet of real stamps and I saved them in case something came up that they might be useful for. Glad you liked them! Thanks so much for the comment and the heart:)
Comment: Wow, you went overboard - I can definitely use these cards (I LOVE the vintage type bird; just like on your envelope and, of course, Anne Taintor is always a winner)! Thanks very much for sending such nice cards.
Response: I couldn't just send an Alberta card for this swap, I can't seem to find any that I think are really exceptional. So glad you enjoyed the selection, I found the envelopes by accident and they go so well with the bird PCs! Thanks for the comments and the heart:) :)
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard - I've never been lucky enough to find any like this in a shop. If I did, I would have a hard time parting with it!
Response: There is this one antique mall I visit in Ontario that has the best vintage PCs, I try to stock up when I'm out that way. Glad you liked the one I sent, the vintage cards are so pretty:) thank-you for the comment and the heart!!
Comment: Thanks for the awesome postcard (what a great photo) and your nice note on the back!! My in-laws are from the Port Dover area, so I've visited there and also Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa. I have not made it to Alberta, though : )
Response: I'd love Ottawa right now just for the weather!! Thanks for the comment and the heart:) I bought the box of PCs sight unseen and it was a great buy, has some awesome photographs in the set.
Comment: Great PC Sarah, thanks. I have a whole box with the same idea (tiny people with giant background) and some are very explicit!!! Chapters is my fave too but they closed down the store close to my house :(
Response: Well that sucks about the Chapters:( I've never seen one close down before! At least there is online shopping I suppose, but it's not really the same as wandering the aisles. I wish they still had the postcard section. Hopefully you have another source! Thanks for the comment and the heart:)
Comment: THIS WAS SO AWESOME! THANK YOU THANK YOU! It made my day! I've taken the Doctor Who poster-type photos and hung them on my wall. You illustrations were amazing! I loved the wallpaper, also! I'm going to make envelopes out of it! Thanks so much!
Response: I wasn't sure what to do at first but I'm fascinated with the Tardis lately! Did you watch 'Day of the Doctor' this week? I thought it was great!!
So glad you enjoyed my mail art, it was a lot of fun to make:) thanks for the comments and the heart!!
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter. I love the envelope.
Response: You are welcome! I had to do it twice because I forgot the mailing address was supposed to be typed when I made it the first time lol! Glad it arrived safe and sound. Thanks for the comment and the heart:)
Comment: My husband thinks it's a waste, but I like to pick the prettier kleenex boxes too. You have to look at the thing for months, it might as well be easy on the eyes! I like what you did with the eyelet to make a bigger card. I may have to start saving some of the interesting but small chunks that I have been recycling.
Response: My boyfriend just thinks it's funny that I'm busily cutting chunks out of things before putting them in the recycle bin. I also buy the pretty Kleenex for the same reason and now it's great that I can use them after for art. I saved some of the smaller pieces for ATC base layers:) Thank-you for the comments and the heart!!
Comment: What a great pkg Sarah ~ I love all those 'wild' note cards! Thank you for all the teas and the honey. Yes, I too like my tea sweetened and it's honey I use ..thank you very much! And that's a great outdoors picture you put on the envelope. It reminds me of being at Lake of The Woods. ...the wonderful colours of autumn are everywhere with still very decent weather here. No snow for Thanksgiving. :o) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
Response: So glad you liked everything! I love those honey tabs for tea out with friends. I have one friend that treats them like a cough drop when she's sick, I haven't tried that yet but might be worth a shot!
Thank-you for the comment and the heart:)
Comment: Hi Sarah, Thanks for the camera chunk! Your stamp with the fawn didn't get postmarked so I can see it clearly. We've swapped before - I've been to your hometown!
Response: I do love the chunk o cardboard swap! It fulfills my need to recycle and my need for art:) hopefully you don't get bored receiving from the same person, I forgot to sign up for the October one but November is on my watch list! Thanks for the rating and the heart:)
Comment: Yikes! Sorry to be late with this... I love your card & just sent you a msg.
Response: Lol that's ok. Second one went in the mail already this morning so lets just call this a two for one. Plus it goes so well with the first one (you'll see what I mean when it arrives:)
Thank-you for the comment/inbox and the heart, I will write you a quick note back.
Comment: Thank you for lovely card and fun mail art! I loved reading about your farm and the new puppy! I love hearing stories about forever homes! Thank you again for the lovely mail and good luck with the veggies!
Response: Thank-you for the comment and the heart! I love forever home stories too:) We are at the farm right now and discovered we have a beaver! I have named her Beatrice:)
Comment: i also have an online shopping issue. especially amazon. i love the dogs and have been intriged with getting a very small one to go with my big ones but. this one looks alittle to fagile, to slow, and not not nearly agile enough to mix with my newfy. he is not just clumsy on land he just love to shump down on his back to get his belly rubbed and he has no clue what he is going to fall onto or into. thank you for the great pc. i have tried to use hand carders for years. i know there is a trick to it. i just don't seem to get it. wish your mom good luck with her studies. i understand that it is a very difficult program.
Response: I do have a tiny fragile dog and a big silly goofy dog who sometimes falls over and it is A LOT of work having them both in the house (plus a blind cat!). The trick for me is to turn my brain off and let my arms just find their own rhythm for carding although I am out of practice! I tried spinning and result was laughable so good job to anyone who has patience and skill for it! Thank-you for the comments and the heart:)
Comment: loved this card!! hilarious! thanks for the quote...did you find your book yet?
Response: I wasn't expecting such a cheeky card in the collection I bought, happy you liked it:) I haven't found it and have now lost my keys! Think I need a vacation lol! Thanks for the comments and the heart:) :)
Comment: OMG, dear Sarah, this is the most incredible and warm Autumn swap I have ever received!:D You really enjoy Autumn as much as I do hehe))) Thank you so much for the STUNNING Autumn mailart and for all the GREAT goodies you sent, which are Autumn rubber stamps (YAY!!!!!!!), Autumn stickers and the Christmas ornament. Thank you, my Autumn fellow!:DDD Have a happy Autumn! Warm hugs, Tanya
Response: This was an easy swap to get carried away with and I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did:) I hope you enjoy the last weeks of summer and that fall brings good things for you! Thank-you very much for the comments and the heart!!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely Letter. I will reply soon :)
Response: Wow I didn't think it would get there so quickly! That's great! Glad you enjoyed my ramblings. Thank-you for rating and for the heart:) :) this was a great swap, I really enjoyed the letter I received also.
Comment: Just got back from vacation and got your ATC. It's so pretty - love it. I too am a fan of Tim Holtz
Response: It's great to see happy mail waiting when you come home, glad you liked my ATC. Thanks for rating and for the heart. Here's hoping there's a Tim Holtz sale soon:) every so often the michaels has one and I stock up!
Comment: Thank you so so much for this swap! I loved your prints, and I adore the key and handkerchief. That was really thoughtful and much appreciated. I wish I could give you more hearts. p.s. - my tea mugs match your kettle
Response: I hope another swap like this comes up again, I had fun taking pics and I loved the ones I received too! I enjoyed reading your profile and was pretty sure the key would be going to a good home:) I'm a huge tea fan too as you noticed:) thanks for the lovely comments and the heart! :)
Comment: The chipmunk with his cheeks full is sooo cute! I wonder what my little chipmunk buddies here would think if I propped this card up on the porch for them to see? Would they be curious, attack it, just plain freak? It would be fun to see, but I don't want to risk the card - with my luck, they would attack. ;o) Good luck with your bee plans! :oP
Response: I know my squirrel in the backyard would freak, he's sort of the territorial type and loves to sit on a branch and 'yell' at me when in work in the garden. Sure likes the peanuts I leave him though:) thanks for the comment and the heart:)
Comment: I was sure I had gotten your card, and I just found it with the others from that swap. I remember telling you that I hope you find your farmhouse to renovate someday. I think I must have forgotten to hit the save ratings button! I do apologize, and thanks for the nice card and note! Happy swapping!
Response: I have done the same thing! Thanks for the comment:)
Comment: Lovely swap Sarah! Everything is great -- you definitely put your hear and soul into the tag! Thank you!
Response: You are most welcome! I started with the mountain tag but I liked it just plain once I got it down to size. I couldn't resist making another to embellish though, it's my favourite kind of craft right now. Thanks for the comment and the heart:) :)
Comment: Thank you very much. I am impressed by what can fit in a Smarties box. And, no, I am not getting bored ;) Loved it all!!
Response: I admit I bought the bigger box of smarties because I tend to get carried away with these types of swaps. You should see what I can fit in a matchbox:) glad you liked everything! Thanks for the heart!!
Comment: Thank you very much for the nice card! I didn't have any map card from Canada,so I was so happy when I got this! <3
Response: You are welcome. I got sick of the PCs available for purchase in my local stores so I went to one of the big tourist attractions in the area to pick some new ones up. Glad you liked it! Thanks for the heart:)
Comment: This is one of the best swaps I've ever received: LOVE THE SpiralArtThing! The ones you decoupaged on the card are still intact. Here's an amazing coincidence for you: I've been to Sherwood Park! My mum's friends Keith and Kathy McFaddyn live there 1/2 year and 1/2 year in Arizona. T H A N K S
Response: Hey small world! Sherwood Park isn't on most maps so people don't really have a reason to know where it is!
Glad you liked the card, it seemed bright and cheerful for a 'chunk O cardboard'. I had tons of fun with it, hope there is another swap like this. Thanks for the comment and heart:)
Comment: Haha, that was great! I loved it - thank you! :) Cool bit of cardboard and how you did a spiral doodle on it, too, and even attached that cool, decorated wheel! I was astounded that wheel made it to me, intact and attached! Very clever. The stamp was also cool. Thanks for your nice note as well :) Hope you had a good Canada Day!
Response: Yay it made it ok! I knew it was a risk but I used super adhesive glue:)
Thanks for the comments and the heart! Hope you are having a great summer
Comment: thank you for the prairies PC...I have one photo while passing through on a train and there is only sky and field...no buildings! I looked up Keswick and its east of me by 2 1/2 hours and a bit...I have a friend in Barrie. Today I am actually going out to check up on several of my geocaches...cacher name is THE TRIBAL DANCER and that is my favourite activity to get me off the couch in the summer.
Response: I've always wanted to take a train trip somewhere. Someday!
I've taken a bit of a break from geocaching lately but I have a great idea for a cache, I drilled out a pine cone and glued a mini bison in the centre;) just have to decide where best to deploy it! Hope you are having an awesome summer:) thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Sarah,
Thanks for your great postcard of Ganesh and co, I love it as I traveled to Bali in 2012 for a Mandala retreat and it brought back wonderful memories for me of that trip. I used to love 'Murder She Wrote'also with Angela Lansbury on TV. Wow we have a lot in common. When you visit the land down under come to Melbourne and say hi.
Response: I hope I do get to visit someday! I enjoyed your profile and learning about mandalas. I have a Native American mandala that I've had hanging above my bed for over 15 years. Helps me sleep! Murder she wrote is an absolute favourite, it comes on the tv here every weekday although I have the series on DVD:)
Hope you are having a good day, thanks for the heart!!
Comment: I wish there was a rating option of 10 because i would have given you a 10 hands downs thankyou sarah so much for an amazing package ! it made my day i can not wait to get reading all about the weird laws it looks like a great book :) again the biggest thankyou to you and a huge hug as well xxx
Response: I can't believe how fast it reached you! I thought it would take longer but I'm happy it arrived safely and you enjoyed the package:) thank-you for the comments and heart!!
Comment: Wow! You really went all out for this swap. Thank you for everything. I like how you put the coins on a Maple Leaf card (nice touch). The magnet is also nice but I think the Canada key rings might be my favorite part. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Response: You are very welcome! I tend to get a bit carried away, but it's fun and gives me the chance to send out happy things into the world:) glad you enjoyed the swap. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard. And thank you for the tree, that was planted for your husband. Here every tree counts! Hope you will see it grows one day. :)
Response: You are welcome. It didn't take as long for the card to travel overseas as I thought it would, that's awesome! I hope to visit someday and see his tree, you are right, every tree counts! Thank-you for the heart:)
Comment: I would give you more stars if I could. Everything about this swap was beautiful, from the envelope to the notecard to the ATC to the extras-- buttons!-- and I appreciate your thoughtfulness so much.
Response: It's just so nice to get a tiny piece of art in the mail to brighten your day! Loved this swap and pleased you enjoyed it also:) it's fun to pick stuff out to send that I think might be appreciated. Thanks for the heart:)
Comment: After I picked up my jaw from the floor and myself, from swooning,I must say that is the most beautiful matchbox I have ever received.I could see how carefully you worked on it. Simply lovely. Thanks so much. The goodies inside made it even more special. If I could I would give you a dozen hearts.
Response: You are very welcome. It was my first matchbox and I had such a good time making it. Very happy that you are happy with it:) thank-you for the heart!
Comment: Well .... I like both earrings and I am thankful:-) They are beautiful. So thoughtful of you to use material for sensitive ears. I also enjoyed reading your note. Yesterday, after work, your package made my day^_^
Response: Some days it really is grand to receive swap-bot mail, I know this feeling and I'm super happy to know I helped someone have the same feeling. This was my favourite swap so far:) thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Sarah, Your package arrived in Ukraine. I"ve learned that from Canada it just takes more time. And what a great package it is. Thank you so much sweet lady. I'm an American living in Ukraine and I can't buy such things here. I like to do altered art and assemblages so this is a great contribution to my stash. And the flowers....I"m over the tops with those. I don't crochet, but I am a great admirer of anyone who does and I adore the little flowers. Thank you so much for reading my profile. This is one of the best swaps I've gotten in a long time. Bless your heart. If you want to do a private swap, just let me know. I have lots of European ephemera if that would interest you and a big lace/trim/ribbon collection. Cheers, Coleen
Response: I'm so happy that it arrived, I did think it would take longer to make its way to you but I was starting to worry a little bit as I didn't get tracking on it. I read your profile and had to send a few extras and I'm so glad you liked everything. This swap was so much fun!!
Comment: Thanks for the ATC. I really like the blue butterfly too. Thanks for sharing how you made your ATC. I think I may do this too. Also I love the stamp.
Response: I read the art journal magazine frequently and I love how there is often a description of the pages and although I'm not sure if anyone would want to replicate what I've done I know inspiration comes from odd places sometimes. And wow was the mail ever fast!! I sent this from farther north than I usually do. Awesome:)
Comment: Hi Sarah! Thanks for the great card -- what a bizarre little cat :-) I loved the way you embellished the card too! And yes - Jetoy are wonderful; when you get them you'll be thrilled! I like swapping with Canadians :-) Swap on!
Response: It sort of reminded me of that grumpy cat that is on Facebook but more of an artsy grumpy cat:) The bar code sticker left a mark so I had to make it pretty again! Thanks for the heart:)
Comment: Hello there, Sarah!
You had absolutely made my day.
Thank you for this amazing funny cat card and the Doctor Who quote! I really love it!
Response: You are very welcome! It's always great to see a 'real' piece of mail in the letter box at the end of a long day:) My Mom is a huge Dr Who fan too, that is one of our fav quotes. Thank-you for the heart!!
Comment: I love the pocket on this postcard! You're a genius!!! Thank you for BOTH cards!
Response: I am so glad it arrived ok, I've done a more sealed envelope style of that before so I can write more than just a postcard allows but it's only the second time I've done postcard-in-postcard and they both went in the mail at the same time!
Thank-you for the heart:)
Comment: Dear Sarah, I got your necklace today and I must say it's gorgeous! The package was so beautiful - and the box, omg, the box! So cute. I wish I could give you a million hearts! Thank you so much <3
Comment: the coins are just too cool! canadian nickels and dimes are uncommon, but a quarter and penny still make their way into our pockets :) and how did you get to visit penguin colonies?!?!?! consider me green with envy!
Response: I'm relieved! I was worried the coins wouldn't be interesting.
My mom and I went with a national geographic/lindblad tour to Antarctica in January:) it was amazing!!
