Comment: Hi Diane
I love the greeting in your card. Family and friends are life's most precious gifts. The picture on the front of your card was beautiful too. One day ill have a White Christmas. Happy 2020 to you!!
Comment: So beautiful! I really appreciate the creative process written out. I have not worked a lot with decoupage, but this card has inspired me to do a future postcard using this technique. Thank you!
Comment: Thank you. 💕I enjoyed the swap and the pieces you made me. There's nothing like getting something ready to use. Perhaps comments in the group about swaps we enjoyed most might get more of them. This one and journal pages have been my favourites.💕
Comment: This was such an amazing package of papers! I am speechless really. There's so many beautiful paper goodies and unique ones too. I'm so excited and look forward to using these. Thank you so much for this generous, lovely swap!
Comment: Thank you for the rather freaky postcard of The Disenchantment of Bottom, from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' Act IV Scene I - Daniel Maclise. Loved the Oscar Wilde quote "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken" you've used on the backside better LOL ;) Thanks!
Comment: I just received your masterpiece! It’s wonderful. The color is a little more turquoise but it will still fit in. I must tell you, it’s a miracle I got it. The entire top of the package was busted open. I guess the bird on the cup guarded it! Lol!
Comment: Lovely icy photos! I'm still trying to figure out how to blog a few other swaps you've sent, and you keep adding new material! LOL! I'm going to have to dedicate a week to your beautiful photo swaps.
Comment: I don't even have the words to describe how beautiful this package is. I am still trying to process. I love everything about it and am currently trying to figure out a way to blog the album that does not diminish how stunning and thoughtful it is. Thank you so much for showering me with such goodness.
Comment: Can you hear my squeals all the way in Michigan?! I love, love, love, love, love, love, love my snow mail! I've been walking around with it because it was too pretty to open and I didn't have a moment to take shots of it. Thank you for such beautiful mail. I wish my December was as pretty. But once again, I feel ashamed about the measley photos I stuffed into an envelope and sent your way. I'm still trying to get a handle on 2019, but once I have a little sanity, I'm going to try some of your methods. I might have to recruit a couple of friends and have a crafting party to make it really happen. Thank you, once again, for an amazing swap and for your consistency with hosting last year. Hugs and hearts!!!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard, the picture on the post card is the only image I saw when I googled him. I was a little creeped out when I pulled it out of the mailbox. I am going to start the crown tonight.
Response: Thanks to your profile I am binge watching Cable Girls, Absolutely adore it. Hope you like The Crown! Thank you for joining in on this swap!
Comment: And again, you amaze me with your work. I've been showing off your creations to my colleagues and students. Trying to figure out the best way to blog them. Maybe, I'll start today! Thank you again and again and again!
Comment: A big ol' WOW for you as well! :D Love your three pockets of the lake and the autumn colours and the fun finds in town. And the rock, how cool!! I love learning about stuff like that. Thank you, thank you so much!!
Comment: What an aaaawesome postcard! I've never heard about this postcard collection, I might try to find it somewhere, it is so cool! Well, the world seem to have become violent, but it's rather an impression and most part of is safe. Like visiting Budapest.. There is no violance that you should fear. The biggest risk is getting through the Atlantic ocean (and that risk verges to zero), in Budapest there is no violence. It's not America, no one has guns, the only insult you can face is the rude impolite service sector :D [my American flatmate keeps complaining about it]
Comment: Thank you so so so much for your super lovely postcard by Keri Smith! I love her books, I have that "Wreck this journal" and my daughter has it too in Finnish. I think that "The Pocket Scavenger" would be lovely to own too! And "The Wander Society" interests me. I need to get more her books...!
Comment: All I can say is...wow! You blew me away with this one. I plan to get a frame for it, it is inspiring! It’s full of so much peace and calmness and beauty! You put a lot of work into it. Many hearts to you! Thank you
Comment: So awesome, I love your photo packages! The handmade envelopes are beautiful and your photos are fantastic. Yes, that filtered photo of the stairs is my fav, too! My favs of the unfiltered pics are the flowers growing up in the stairs and the path thru the beach grass. Thank you so much for sharing... and for hosting such a fun swap! ♥♥♥!
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful patriotic pc! I love the colors! I just came upn another box of paer scraps (gel prints) that I had made to use a backgrounds. Time to get them on postcards! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard. I never thought in my wildest dream you will take the pains of doing research for me and select the perfect postcard for me. Thank you once again.
Comment: What a wonderful PC! Thanks so much for your description too, detailing your process - a really great way to understand all the layering that took place to get to the final beautiful result!! Thanks again for the re-send - 5 stars!!
Comment: Thank you for all the postcards. I want to visit Australia some day. I will have to look for the periodic thoughts book of postcards! I love Maxine! Oh wow, I had forgotten all about LIttle Miss Brainy! Love all of them!
Comment: Oh, my, how beautiful! You made some creative use of your weather; visiting the Spring Expo is genius, and it sure looks like you had a wonderful time. I love all the cards you made. You are an excellent photographer. Thank you so much!
Comment: Lovely, lovely swap! And it came on a day when I desperately needed a bit of "cheer mail." Thank you so much for always taking time to create beautiful mail. One day, I'll grow up and be like you.
Comment: Thank you, Diane, for the time and effort you put into this swap : loved reading a bit about you and the items you sent. I'm looking forward to trying out your favorite tea (I love lavender!) and particularly like the paint chips (I might use some of the color combinations in a quilt or two...)
Hope the year of the dog will be kind to you!
Comment: Diane, thank you for the Envelope of Awesomeness! I loved it all! The little packet of postage stamps was great fun to go through; the tickets and tags and ephemera will add to my ATC and postcard projects; and that swap Journal might be helpful in keeping my swap records up-to-date. The little swatch of fabric with the Christmas trees will be great for projects for next Christmas! Thank you so much for a great dwap and for all the effort you put into picking with such wonderful things for it! Happy swapping!
Comment: You went above and beyond by sending me the envelope of fun journal things. This arrived today and it was addressed correctly, the PO is just morons sending it to Mesa, and back to New Jersey. Thanks for participating, and I will work on this and get it back to you.
Comment: Thank you Diane for the envelope of awesomeness! (thanks for the warning on the envelope, lol!) I've already used some of it. Have been working in my floral altered/jj book recently. It's been a long while since I've worked on it, a wip. :) Have a great day!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your thoughts on The Widow, Diane! Some of your questions were ones I answered, too, some not. I read with especial interest the ones that were not ones that I answered! Thanks again! â¤
Comment: I've never seen this book and it sounds like a wonderful idea...sounds like it inspired you! Thank you so much for such a thoughtful book and for the napkins too! I already have one set aside to use asap!
Comment: Oh my goodness... I can hardly wait!! I peeked inside the box but haven't pulled anything out to add to my stocking yet. So excited! :) (update: I read the book on the 26th... my back was giving me problems... thank you!! I love the snowflake ornament and supercool cookie cutter, too! :)
Comment: Love the candy cane envelope! Thank you. Looking forward to opening it when I get home (out of town so my husband texts me pictures of SB mail to keep me smiling). Have a great month! â„ï¸â˜ƒï¸â„ï¸
Comment: Thanks for the Christmas postcard of the quaint village snowy scene. The post office processed it backwards so the cancellation is on the front - which I don't mind at all and reminds me of the old time cancellations with the stamp on the front. Have a Merry Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for the festive hot chocolate card (my first received Christmas card this year :), yummy recipe, beautiful mail seals/stickers, and festive candy cane confetti (yessss!) It was a real treat to come home to after a long day. Hope your Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations are with those you love most! ♥
Comment: THANK YOU for the wonderful swap! Painting leaves is a great concept and you did a beautiful job with the meditation board. I love autumn, and will add your work to the things I take out each fall.
Response: I'm so happy you liked this and it will be a part of your yearly ritual. That makes me happy. Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful heart!! And instructions on how you made it. I confess, I found this swap harder than I thought it would be and you did a fantastic job!
Response: Thank you for your wonderful words and the heart. I was intimidated at first too then I thought about my creative processes and the steps I take and converted them to using just white. So much easier after that!
Comment: Hooray! Your lovely leaf survived the rigors of the USPS. The stem was barely hanging on, but intact. Thank you for such fun mail art. I like the way you embossed the edges to seal the napkin -- nice touch. I like the haiku too!
Comment: What gorgeous roses! As usual, you sent beautiful mail to make my day happy. One is headed for my faith journal, the other to my inspiration wall. Thanks so much for always sending great swaps. Thanks, too, for joining in!
Comment: What a fun and interesting PC you chose for this swap. . . just perfect! I've only done something with 2 of the holes while I sit and doodle , . . great fun. Thanks again and hope to see you in future swaps ~~
Comment: This definitely gave me a HUGE smile and my mail carrier too!! She loves Swap-Bot because she sees so many happy envelopes and packages sent from HAPPY PEOPLE!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this bright, happy garden windmill! My girls love it as much as I do!! xoxoxoxoxo
Comment: Thanks for the great PC...B=Bird. I love how you display your PCs. I tape up the PCs around my desk area and replace them every so often with newer ones as they arrive. I used to keep mine in a binder, but then that got ridiculous. So now they are just in a huge plastic bin...
Comment: Thanks for the Armadillo postcard, very cute! I do some sort of art journaling in my bullet journal, and lists and day to day journaling, It works well for me, I could never get on with other systems and I like the freedom of bullet journaling :D
Comment: Your 4th card finally arrived, 11 days after you mailed it! And I love it! Sunflowers are my favorite (did you know that?) and plus there's purple in it! On to the others, I really enjoyed every single card and postcard you sent. They will form a little gallery on one of my walls as soon as I can extricate myself from all the post-semester work. I also enjoyed your notes and learning about a little about your life as well as the techniques used to edit the photos. As always, I like your style. I'll be playing around with paint, cardstock and miscellaneous photos I have lying around over the next few days. Thanks for participating in this swap and for making it so enjoyable!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful napkins I love to use them in my crafts looking forward to the next swaps
Response: Next one will be for summer so start looking for them. I have tons so if you are looking for one for a special project keep me in mind. I will send anything you need. Happy crafting! Thank you for rating so quickly and for the heart.
Comment: Oh my! What a gorgeous sight for my sore eyes today. The purple pansy and your presentation (as always) are stunning. Thank you so much! I love it so much I just blogged about it! https://iamchandralynn.com/2017/03/27/discover-spring-in-a-pretty-purple-pansy/
Response: So glad the PC made you happy. Thank you for your encouraging words, truly. I always fear that what I send won't make the mark. Your words gave me a spark of confidence.
Comment: This has to be one of the most incredibly crafted cards I've ever seen! LOVE the "recipe" - although I'd find it difficult to follow those directions as some of the things you used are foreign to me (not the baby wipes, though - LOL). Love the sapphire & grape colors. Thank you so much!
Response: Working with crayon was difficult for me so I am very happy that you like the PC! Tim Holtz Distress crayons are water-reactive pigments (fancy watercolor crayons) and the Ranger texture paste is like modeling paste but dries transparent. Both products are fun and easy to create with. Hope you try one or both.
Comment: I appreciated your long letter; it was very nice to get acquainted. I admire your desire to make positive changes in your life! You are being quite brave: when most people resign themselves to what is, you take the leap for what could be! I think your analytical mind, goal setting discipline and willingness to take a risk on a new career will lead to great satisfaction. You are on a worthwhile adventure for sure! I am delighted with the postcard you created ~ love the vivid colors and layers of paint and washi ~ inspiring quote, too. The Tim Holtz wildflower die cuts are amazing and I chuckled at your love/hate experiences with the machine! I will enjoy using the quotes you sent in my art. Thanks for a memorable swap in a beautiful envelope!
Response: Thank you for your encouraging words and the heart. I hope we can be partners again.
Response: I hope you can use some of it! I do a lot of art journaling so I never know if what I use will be useful to the receiver. I use a lot of napkins in my journals, even made an entire journal out of the ones I had collected. Have fun creating!
Comment: Great embossed January blues tag! I liked the pretty note card and all the bling on the tag! We have had a non winter-only ice and no pretty snowfalls. I am sure you would like to send some of your snow down here.
Response: I am so glad you like it as it was just a fun tag to create! I stumble on that embossing powder at Michael's crafts and find I use it a lot. Thank you for rating so quickly and for the lovely heart!
Comment: OOoo, what an interesting postcard. I love this photo you too, very dramatic! I too am playing with various collage techniques and some are good others are not so much. But it is the process that counts! Thanks for sharing :D.
Comment: I could swear that I already did this rating.... I know I put off doing the dishes.... but I do try and do my ratings on time. Like your "good housekeeping" card, Diane, and all best to you for the New Year!
Comment: Thank you for a neat NY Taxi postcard, Diane. I'm sorry for the late rating. My mother picked up the mail on the day it arrived and put it in a spot I do not ordinarily check for mail. So I don't know when it arrived, except that it was sometime before Christmas (Mom left for Oregon before Christmas). I just found it, though! Thanks again! :-)
Comment: Thanks for the skull card, Diane --certainly a unique card to add to my collection! I don't see it there now, but you had something in your profile about an incident at your school, and I sure hope you're doing okay. Happy Holidays to you!
Comment: Thanks for the gorgeous photos, Diane! Really nice presentation from the envelope, to the beautiful card with your sweet message, and the photos inside. I blogged about your "inspiration" photos earlier this month, and I hope to blog about the abandoned photos tonight or tomorrow. I hope you're feeling better. Hugs!
Comment: 10 hearts for you! The envelope was so beautiful and I loved everything inside. I can't wait to use the almanac but those beautiful leaf art cards you sent me!! I LOVE THEM. Thanks for spoiling me in this swap.
Comment: Thank you for your beautiful bird tag and the awesome quotes! I loved the tag and it has given me some ideas and taught me techniques! The quotes will definitely grace either my journals or future happy mail. Thank you again!!
Comment: Diane, I'm so sorry. I rated this swap after O received the first envelope you sent. That's the reason I added the message to your profile instead of the rating for the second envelope. Your work is stunning, as usual, and I love every photo. Thanks so much for putting so much heart into the swap.
Comment: I absolutely LOVE this PC! The variety of media, texture, coordinated colors, and great quotes are terrific. And then there are the birds - just delightful. Thank you so much. This is one of my all time favorites!
Comment: Hi Diane, nice to meet your crafting buddy Allister. He certainly looks undernourished. Lmao. Anyway, great stick, and while I knew the color correspondences, it was awesome you added the descriptions. Great swap! Enjoyed it tremendously. I'll be reusing you packaging for my next stick.
Comment: Thanks for the colorful hot air balloon photo. I completely missed the hot air balloon show here. It was our anniversary weekend and we were out of town. We will be certain to catch it next year. Thanks, too, for joining in!
Comment: Thanks for the great beauty queen/garage photo! Looks like it may have had something of an adventure on the way here, but at least it was spared getting soaked in our thunderstorm this afternoon.
Comment: Thanks again! I like the time travel card and also those 19-cent stamps--I'd forgotten about those. Not sure what I'd choose to do with my time machine (well, something not lottery-related). Hope you have luck fighting the weeds and enjoy your trip later this summer!
Comment: What a positively GORGEOUS summer tag--I really love the colors that you used in this, Diane!! Thank you so much for such a fabulous tag, and thank you for the summer napkins, too (they're going in my journal!) Hope to swap with you again!
Comment: Thanks so much for the lovely BW card, and I enjoyed reading your message. Hope you get a chance to travel to this part of the world and visit your son whilst he is here. It sure is a great place but I agree with your son - cost of living is expensive :( Happy swapping!
Comment: I was so excited when I saw your postcard. I wondered if they were pastels before I turned it over. I too, had trouble with wanting them perfect, but I found this swap a lot of fun. Your postcard is awesome!
Comment: thank you Diane for the lovely card representing the letter A and in this case it was ART! IT was ok that you didnt have a postcard to make me think! Whatever you feel you want to send i greatly appreciate that! I would like to know more about your art journals! That sounds exciting too! I love black and white postcards and dont really have many! I will drop you a note i am interested in knowing more about what you do! Thank you so much for the postcard Study of a Man and woman. Wow!
Comment: Great napkins. I love them all, but the leaves is my favorite. I even reused your mailing envelope and mailed off some atcs and envelopes to a host on another site. Glad to trade with you again.
Comment: Thank you for your letter, the postcards, your lovely ATC, and flower extras! I teach middle school and have had a rough year. I'm just trying to finish out the year in one piece! Lol! Wishing you the same! Swap-bot definitely helps me come home to some happy mail at least! Thanks again for everything!
Comment: Yay, it arrived and it is beautiful, it will be a pleasure to work in it. And thank you for the great napkins...you'll probably get a portion of them back in mail art...lol! Edit, I'm so sorry, I wrote this rating but evidently didn't hit save so it didn't post!
Comment: Your journal arrived safe and sound! I'll work in it this weekend. Thank you for the beautiful tag, I love it and will add it to my collection. I will put the photos and napkin to good use too!
Comment: Thank you for the awesome heart-shaped cacti! I love them and I love your presentation. I'm trying to figure out the best presentation for them. I'm sure I'll be blogging about them this week!
Comment: I LOVE Titanic. I don' care how many books I read (or how many times I watch the movie), I still always hold my breath and hope that they miss the iceberg! I think I saw the same exhibit here in Atlanta, because I remember buying the same postcard (of course, I didn't think to save one for myself, so it is a good thing you sent me one).
Comment: Thank you so much for the letter! Sorry to hear about your work struggles. Believe me, I get it. I think about the struggles I had when I was teaching 10 years ago, and while I know I had them, they seem so insignificant to the daily, insurmountable issues I'm dealing with now. And don't get me started about testing--my students take the big English test in about 5 weeks, and I'm already stressing out!! Swapping helps. Take care! Thanks again!!
Comment: Snowflakes look especially lovely "glitterized"! Thank you ! And thank you for the recipe! I love snack mixes! Oh, I just noticed the post mark! Awesome! And the stamp marches the card! You went all out!
Comment: What a great idea-I love the postmark! I have actually been to the North Pole place in Anchorage Alaska when my sister lived in AK in the 1970's and I visited her one summer! Love the rolo you did too-love the sparkle and glitter! And not to forget the gorgeous Christmas card-I enjoy swapping with you! Have a good holiday season and here's to more happy swapping in 2016!
Comment: Diane! I love the postage cancellation! I have to remember that for next year :) I can't wait to try the Snowflake Mix........surely it is on my diet........since you included the nutritional info and there are NO calories listed! RIGHT?!?!!? Merry Christmas :)
Comment: Oh my gosh! A Christmas card from the North Pole, with a card to go with the theme! Fabulous! Thank you also for all the goodie inserts - Wow - What a postmark and card! Must show everyone! Thanks again for a fabulous swap. Merry Christmas and Happy new Year to you. You deserve a million hearts for this swap!
Comment: However did you get the Post Office to cancel your envies like that! Super cool as heck!! I must know the secret! Thanks a ton for the recipe tuck in as well. The black and white card is singular in its beauty. Merry Christmas!
Comment: Can't wait to try to Snowflake Mix...we love stuff like that:) Merry Christmas...
I'll have to check your blog out
AND I JUST NOTICED WHERE THE CARD WAS SENT FROM...NORTH POLE AK...pretty cool
Comment: What a sweet card, perfect for us letter obsessed swappers. Fantastic post. Mark, too, thanks for sending it through the north pole! Thanks for thhe cute stickers and snack recipe-it sounds good. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Really like the ATC and how you made it. Love that you used dry wall tape. I like to use it on ATC's and mixed media canvas, too. Thanks for the instructions. I enjoy knowing how and what colors, mediums, and type of ink people use. Thanks again for the very cool ATC. Oh, the card you sent was so very beautiful. Inspired my day.
Comment: Interesting project. I've seen it online quite often. I am curious: do you look at it every day or do you actively work with it?
You are right with the knobs, as they don't match perfectly, but they are not that bad.
All in all I think it turned out nicely! And it's a real good idea to get to your pinterest board :D I myself have plenty of never tried ideas on there
Comment: Your postcard was so interesting. I loved it. I have it sitting on my desk because I am torn between leaving it as it is or messing it up. Funny. I enjoyed swapping with you. Have a great day!
Comment: Oh, my! You nailed it with the game card! I love all the fibers and textures. Wonderful to swap with you. Thank you for your note, as well. There is something so fulfilling about learning the thought process that went into a creative endeavor. :-)
Comment: I <3 both ATCs!!! I can see how much work you put into the hand cutting...wow! Very nice job. And I really like the spiral mosaic with the cool texture. Thank you so much for sending both! Your envelopes are pretty snazzy, too :)
Response: So happy you like them! I appreciate your wonderful comment, quick rating, and the heart! Thank you.
Comment: I love this ATC. Thanks too for the tutorial on making it. I've never used the modeling paste. I just got some given to me by a friend so now I have no excuses not to try it. Thank you so much!
Comment: Oh wow! I LOVE both of the rolos you sent me! So different, but both so very much my taste! I love the inspirational quotes especially. Definitely some things I needed to hear today. These are my first rolos for my collection ever!!! I feel honored to have some gorgeous artwork to get my Rolodex started with! <3
Comment: Dear Diane, thank you so much for my 3 beautiful rolos, it's hard to choose the one I like best, all of them are great looking....now, I just have to wait for more make up rolo swaps to complete my abc's. Many blessing to you & have a great weekend and rest of the month.
Comment: How I love zinnias! The brightest and most cheerful of flowers...and the blooms last a long time, too! I am happy to have a sweet rolo commemorating this lovely flower...thank you so much, Diane!
Comment: Thank you so much for such an awesome PL. Beautifully done & loved the colors. Great idea to put a coloring page in the back, it was so pretty, I want to try to copy that idea but my coloring is not up to par. LOL I am still learning how to use my copics/ spectrums. :):) I am going to use yours as an example, I thought it was beautifully done!! Thanks again, I really enjoyed everything.
Comment: what awesome captures...i love your editing techniques , i love sunflare..bad for camera...awesome for cool pics..lol..i know what you mean about dangerous..but sometimes when you see that perfect shot...all reason goes out the window....stay safe :) and thank you so very much for the awesome postcard and the smashed penny..jumping up and down with delight !! many hearts <3
Response: Your comment truly gave me joy! I wanted to make this a great swap for you. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart.
Comment: Thanks, Diane, for the pretty ATC--I loved this technique, but, as you say, getting the right thickness is crucial and not that easily judged! Thanks for the meaningful saying squares as well. They will be put into use on notes, much as you did on your card. I can recycle the one you used and the solid yellow cardstock from the back of you notecard. I love when I can use such items again--even better than putting it in recycle bin! Have a great week!
Response: So Happy you enjoyed the ATC, such a fun technique! The quotes come from my daily desk calendar. I love passing them on as they are so pretty and meaningful Thank you for rating and for the heart.
Comment: Diane, thank you for the awesome postcard! I have yet to visit Michigan. I have seen Lake Erie from Ilinois, but not from Michigan. I have 5 states left to visit and Michigan is on the top of the list! Especially now :)
Response: The west side of the state is gorgeous and my favorite places to visit because of the sand dunes. Thank you for rating and for the heart.
Comment: Love love love this ATC! Without the step-by-step breakdown in your note (which is AWESOME BTW) I can see the amount of work and I highly appreciate it! This ATC can make up for some of the less adorned ones I have received in the past. Thank you so much! It does work well in my collection!
Response: So happy you like it! Mixed media has become my favorite way to create as of late. Thank you for rating so quickly and for the heart.
Comment: Festive envelope and great card. I appreciate that you take the time to share the creative steps you used. I love what you did with the modeling paste; I'm going to try that! I hear you on the swapping troubles - glad you've stayed in the ART rolo swaps (and please do let me know if you ever have problems in our group swaps!).
Comment: Thank you for a great postcard - I is for Ice. You mentioned that winter deprives you of gardening - oh you should live in Singapore where it is forever Summer. We jokingly say we have two seasons "Wet and hot" and "Wetter and Hotter".
Response: I wanted so much for you to have something different. So difficult to determine what that is in someone else's eyes. Thank you so much for the quick rating and heart!
Comment: The photos you sent for this swap are wonderful. I love strolls through the countryside when the leaves are at peak autumn color, the sky colors are amazing, and warty pumpkins are my favorites, too! Thank you and I hope the new year is off to a great start for you! ðŸ‘😊
Response: Glad the resend arrived. Always wonder where our lost swaps end up. A mystery....
Comment: You must have had the same idea as me to send a Purple Christmas tree!! I went to At Home (used to be Garden Ridge) to take a pic of a purple tree, but it turned out so dark in my photo that I could not use it. I used my camera phone. Love your tree:-)
On your tree pic you could not have picked a better photo to send me. I love the outline of bare trees. This one is beautiful!!
The flower was too pretty for words. At first I could not figure out how you made that imprint on it but then your note explained it.
Thank you tons for sharing them with me. I really enjoyed them.
Merry Merry Christmas,
Comment: Oh my - this is GREAT! Might be the best rolo I've ever received. And it was postmarked by the NORTH POLE! First mail I've ever received from there. I did exactly as you suggested and put the postmark on the back of the rolo. :) THANK YOU!
Comment: Your letter was so nice, I loved reading it. I agree with Children help bring the Christmas Spirit to life. I always made sure I got the children in our family gifts. I look forward to giving gifts to my grand kids someday. Maybe you should try picking a kid off of one of those trees that have a list of things to get for less fortunate kids. It's fun to buy toys and clothing for the little ones.
Comment: It Worked! Your swap postcard - "Christmas In America, Christmas lights in Aspen, CO," I received in the mail with the North Pole postal cancellation & image of Santa's profile in a half - moon! Your postcard was the first, ever, "North Pole, USA" post marked mail I have received. Fantastic to receive this special mail in the swap from you! Thank you so much. I will be showing this postcard to my family. They will be thrilled!
Comment: I didn't get the postmark mentioned on the postcard like others have mentioned but it sounds cute! Thanks for the pretty card! I love looking at all the Christmas lights people put on their houses
Comment: Thank you. I know how you feel about being an empty nester, our 4 kids are married and have their own family and they live in different states, swapping Christmas cards helps a lot. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Holidays Greetings Diane,
I would like to express my gratitude for your wonderful Snowflake card AND very precious Christmas letter. As I read your letter I found myself relating so much to what you wrote. Your swap was simple, sweet & so precious to me. You blessed me.
Comment: What A Creative Card! We Do The Holidays Very Much The Same.:)
I really like the North Pole Post Mark And Hope to do that next year for my Kids On Hero Network!
I never knew anything about this before :)
Comment: Well Hello again! You and I joined many of the same swaps this year! I Loved your beautiful glittery snowflake card! So pretty and sparkly! Thanks for the Chex Mix recipe as well. We love snacking on Chex Mix, have to try this one this year! Thanks for the North Pole delivery! So fun and festive! Have a wonderful Christmas Season! Hugs! :)
Comment: Thanks so much Diane for the beautiful, glittery Christmas tree, snow scene card! Thank you for your letter as well. We also go and fresh cut our tree! I hope the spirit of the Seasons finds you! It was so cool that your letter came from the North Pole! What a fun idea! Thanks again! Have a Very Merry Christmas!
Comment: How sweet of you to go the extra and send the cards all the way to the north pole and get Santa to put his stamp of approval on the envelope. I sure agree with you and what you have to say in your letter! I am away from my kids and last year they all met up in Jamaica for a week and here. I am in Florida . this year they are having Christmas in their own homes and coming here for a week in January. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Happy holidays to you!
Comment: Very nice ATC. I don't mind the bleak weather if I'm warm, have a hot drink and a cool book. P.S. This kind of calendar page is pretty. Thanks.
I want to thank you also for your kind note, it was so nice of you. Happy Holidays to you too.
Comment: Glad to get your S-am excited to hang it up but haven't gotten the M and A yet!!! May habe to make my own if it comes down to that! Cute little envelope you make for ATC and beautiful tree on card-hope we get at least that much snow by Christmas time! Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Wow, PO damaged envie and it just showed up today -- in one of PO's special "we're sorry" envies - think it all made it okay -- there was a photo card and note along with three great pics, enjoyed it all very much, your pics were great!! Maybe that orange ink threw PO for a loop lol
Comment: I luv your AWESOME PEACOCK ROLO!!! ;-) It is on the front of the holder on my desk!!! ;-) I didnt have far to look! ;-) LOL... I AM SO SORRY that I overlooked rating you sooner!!! I really thought I did that, since its one of my favorites with real feathers and I really like the metal bird cage embelly on the back! Thanx so much for a gorgeous rolo! Blessings, cc
Response: This was fun to create and your profile made it easy, which I appreciate. It makes me happy that you luv it! Thank you for being so kind and understanding about the rating!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful collage-I have it hanging in my craft room. I love the poem and the lovely tree. Thank you, again.
Response: It was so much fun to make! I wanted my partner to open & have something lasting. I posted it here: http://afocusedjourney.blogs
Thank you for the fast rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the cards. I downloaded the APP distressed FX to try some effects with my photos too. Update: on Nov. 1st received message asking to rate. Rating was entered, but not showing on partner's profile. I re saved and hope it will work.
Response: I hope you are having fun with that app. It is so fun & easy to use. Hope I have you as a partner in another swap so I can see what you create! Thank you for going back and having this rerated to insure it showed up.
Comment: I loved your rolo! And the card as well! If there was anything else in there it didn't arrive. The envelope was split on three sides, so I'm surprised anything made it! I'm delighted with my card and hope we are paired again!
Response: This was such a fun rolo to create because of the color. I use glue stick to seal the envie so I hav no idea what the PO did with it to get it tore up! Glad it got there.
Comment: Very nice cards! I love the Eiffel tower charm! You used a very interesting medium on the cards!
Response: The modeling paste through a stencil gives it a nice texture, It's one of my favorite ways to add dimension to a flat surface. Glad you like these as i was quite perplexed as how to create something with those 2 colors.
Comment: Thank-you for the amazing black ATC and the information about it, yes, your swap bot name sounds very familiar, so I think we have swapped previously.
Response: So glad you like this ATC> It was the perfect color for this month. I am loving this series as well. It's a nice way to ease into the holiday swapping frenzy. Thank you for the fast rating and the heart!
Comment: What a lovely bundle of photos and notecards! I love seeing the color and the BW versions of the photos. The sunflower is my favorite flower, so that's my favorite photo. Love the purple one too! Thanks so much for making my mailbox happy again AND for joining the swap. As for your note about making this a series, I agree. I was just making a list of black and white swaps to do! Have joy!
Response: I liked the idea of sending the before and after photos. Let me know if and when you decide to do this as a series as i would like to be involved. Thank you for rating and for the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the great kite rolo. I can tell you spent a lot of time on it. I greatly appreciate that! It turned out beautifully!!!
Response: I wrestled with how to get some depth and texture on this rolo. The drying time took longer than I would have like but i like how it turned out. You are the first swappers to acknowledge the work I put into creating swaps. I truly appreciate this! Thank you for rating and for the heart!
Comment: thanks for the mix of atcs. I was a bit up set to see one of my own in there..
Response: I am so sorry! I am cleaning out more because I have too many and know the whole idea is to pass along rather than "hoard" them. Many of the ones I sent wouldn't fit into any art journal I am currently working on so rather than let them sit unwanted on my desk I thought it best to pass them along to a new home. Again I'm sorry I couldn't use yours and that I was a duff and didn't notice it was yours!
Comment: Thank you, first of all, for joining the swap. Now, thank you for sending an awesome letter and absolutely beautiful photos. I love every single one! I think I'm going to have to step up my photo game! ;-)
Response: This was a fun swap. It makes me happy that you liked the photos! It is difficult knowing what your partner will like even when going through their profile. Looking forward to more swaps with this group. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart.
Comment: very good job on the ATC! I am giving you a star because it is easy to see the effort you put in to create such a beautiful work of art.
Response: I had a lot of fun creating this one, very different from what I normally do. I appreciate that you rated based on the amount of work put in and not on the amount of extras as many do. I appreciate it so much. Thank you!
Comment: Hello and Thank you. I didnt recognize your real name to match up with Midteacher. So I perused the journal again looking for your page. It was kinda stuck together. No damage but I will add wax paper in between, I just wanted to say your PAGE Is a work of art.
Comment: Great idea, I like the sandpaper touch too.
Response: So glad you like it. One never knows. Loving this series, so much fun (sometimes frustrating) trying to come up with something unique. Hope we swap again. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart!
Comment: Today I received 1 card (tree). Many thanks, I love all those birds! I'll finish the rating as soon as I receive the second card too :-) 10 september: second card (star) arrived here too, so cute. Many thanks for swapping!
Response: Isn't it funny how they arrived separately when I sent them together. Glad we did this swap. Thank you for contacting me.
Comment: Thanks Diane! I loved your fall envelope! The contents were fantastic! Loved the bear pages! The glitter flowers are great. I love the flower photo and the fairies are so cute! Thanks a ton for all the little flowers!! I was running low! Thanks so much for a wonderful swap! You definitely sent a smile! :)
Response: I really wanted to make this an extra special envie as I know you work hard here at Swap-bot. Love that it made you smile!
Comment: Love the poems that you included and the artwork to go with them.
Have you read any poems by Anne Morrow Lindbergh? The Unicorn and Other Poems is my absolute favourite book of poetry and has been since I first read it at age 13. 47 years later it is still relevant.
Response: I have not but i just requested it from our library. Thank you so much for the tip! Hope to get a journal passed on from you sometime during this swap. thank you for the rating and the heart.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful ATC♥
Lovely card too! Did you make it?
Response: I cannot remember what NC I used . I do use many of my photos to make NCs but i also swap them so it could be from another photographer. If it's signed "midteacher", it would be mine. Thank you for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Nice job! Thanks for checking my profile and going for an abstract theme. I like how you handled the textures.
Response: So glad you like them as i was a little worried, Modeling paste is one of my favorite ways to add texture! It doesn't always come out as planned but it's fun to use. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart!
Comment: Oh my goodness Diane! Thank you so much for the wonderful rolo! And the vintage pc's and calling card are awesome! I love it all! Thank you!! :)
Response: These rolors are a challenge for me because of their shape, so different from ATC's. I am very happy to know you liked it and i enjoyed finding out you also had a passion for the same vintage things I do. Fun to share! Thank you so much for the rating and the heart.
Comment: Beautiful photos ! I would like to have my morning coffee there too!
Response: I am happy that you liked them. I like to edit my photos to give them texture and drama, make them pleasing to look at rather than a simple picture. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful photos and photo notecards! I love every single one of the photos. My favorite is probably the raspberries, but I truly love all of them! Oh, I use the Pixlr app too. Awesome!
Response: That is my go-to app! I wish they would update it and add more. I enjoy editing my photos to give them texture and drama, make them pleasing to look at rather than a simple picture. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart!
Comment: Great pages with great photos/ephemera.
Thanks for sharing.
Response: I struggle sometimes with these pages because they are often not something i would art journal. but i keep doing it because it pushes me. I always enjoy having you as a partner. Thank you for the quick rating and the heart!
Comment: I've been outta town in trying to catch up on doing my ratings i had a hard time figuring out which was yours because you didn't write on the back which swap it was.. I made the mistake of opening everything and setting aside so I go back and looked at the back ofthe a ATCs and yours didn't say this swap.. it said something else so it I got a bit confused thank you for resending it I do appreciate it. I love the red white and blue theme. sorry then I was in a hurry and didn't leave a comment. I just had to go back and make sure which one it was and wanted to make sure you got rated.
Response: Thank you so much for rating and the heart. Also for taking the time to message me. I do hope things get better soon!
Comment: Thanks so much for the rolo. I haven't used the glaze pens before, looks like I NEED a few of them. :) The envelope was nice as well.
Response: Thank you for the quick rating and the heart! The glaze pens are cheaper if you buy the set when you use a coupon at Michaels or Joann’s. Mine have lasted just over a year and I’m still using them. The is key is they must be stored laying down.
Comment: Very cool. Never thought about request in it but did follow yours. Even picture in back cover. Thanks
Response: I belong to many journal swaps and I prefer working in themed journals, a bit more challenging. Right now I am working in one called I Don’t Know These People. The most difficult has been Wizard of Oz as I’m not a fan of it. Thank you for the fast rating and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the "different" ATC. You get a heart for "effort". I made ones that were "egg" and "elephant", for this round. I appreciate your creativity and I now have the song "Edelweiss" stuck in my head.
Response: Your comment made me laugh! Thank you for the quick rating and the heart! I do hope you liked it.
Comment: It came back safe and sound! I love the journal idea but "naked", the all got wet along the way and luckily, mine didn't get really damaged but I can see where there are water marks on a few pages. I hope everyone finally got their own journal back!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful assortment of napkins. I already have many projects in mind for all of them. I just started a couple of paper bag albums to display my ATC's, and I'm starting a new junk journal, so these will be perfect. Thanks again! :)
Response: So glad you liked them! This is a fun swap but if you get the same partner it makes it difficult to send 10 different napkins. Thank you for the rating and the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely pages - and an extra! I just started using the journal I made from our previous swaps today and one of yours is the first page.
Response: So happy you liked the pages. I was unsure about the songs I selected which is why I gave the extra. I haven't used my journal pages yet; feel proud of myself for getting them into a journal!
Comment: Wow! Wow! Wow! Diane, your pictures are AWESOME! I loved the editing you did. And thanks for including the app information. I downloaded it and played with it for a few hours last night. I can't believe it was free! I'm hoping my pictures will print out as nicely as yours. Up to this point I've had a lot of trouble printing good pics that I've taken/edited on my phone. The borders are always weird, or things get cut off. Hopefully, this app will help. If you have any other tips, please share them with me! Thanks again, Chrissy.
Response: Thank you so much and I'm very glad you liked them! That app is fun. I have not learned the art of resizing and struggle with it myself. I use Picasa, create a collage, select 4x6 then make the photo fit.
Comment: Great pictures Diane, thank you! I did a double take with the bee and azaleas- I've taken a picture so similar I thought it was mine for a second.
Response: Ah, we have similar taste! I so enjoyed watching that bee, buzzing from flower to flower, seemingly oblivious to being watched. This was such a fun swap! Thank you f or the quick rating and heart!
Comment: Great pages! And I love your blog! Glad you had trouble sending, so I would be prompted to see it! Thanks!
Response: Thank you for the quick rating and the heart! Also for your patience. Learning how new email works is not my forte but after several failed attempts I did get it then felt dumb for my struggles!
Comment: Great pages. I think everyone has a pixie haircut at some stage. Very easy for our mums to look after! I like the idea of using post it notes - you can make all sorts of changes to your original plans. Thank you for sharing
Response: Thank you for rating me so quickly. Actually they are paint chis but they can be covered over with a new one.
Comment: Thanks for the great ATC, so creative I love it!!!! I like the crinkle paper background gives so much texture, I will have to try that one.
Response: When I found that ATC collage on Etsy, I knew it would be perfect for this swap. This is a new style for me, different from my usual hand cut flowers. thank you for the heat, rating, and feedback!
Comment: The pages are really pretty. I like the way you used the glitter pens. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the extra fairy images, too.
Response: Those pages were quite the challenge for me; way outside my comfort zone. I learned to color with the gellyroll pens in the Kelly Kilmer online course I took. The stardust pens are my favorite!
Comment: Thank you for your consideration. Gotta admit that that journal was quite the letdown. I do appreciate everyone's work in it. Would love to know the full story of how a mail person could drop it in water and just put it in a mailbox.
Thanks for the package of butterflies, bugs, flowers, and trees. Lots of trimming to do, but they will be much appreciated as I stick them to something.
Response: I stopped cutting images down when a swapper told me she prefered to cut them herself in the size shes liked. Made sense so now I leave everything whole. I wanted to send you some cheer!
Comment: Hello. Your envelope arrived today and I enjoyed getting it very much. Thank you for the lovely yellow ATC. How cool that you described how you made it. And I like the cool little ATC envelope too. Thank you again! XOXO
Response: having lots of fun with this series! I stared including the instructions after 2 people asked me how I made them. the envie is from old book pages I tear out when creating altered books.
Comment: Received your ACT, it's very pretty! Including the instructions was very creative :-) It took me extra time to rate because the name of the swap wasn't on either card nor ATC & the postal service mangled the envelope.
But I figured it out :-) thanks again for the pretty ATC:-)
Response: Trying to figure out what happened as I hand write the name of the swaps on the back before sending. Sorry you had to go through all that!
Comment: Wow, this is a spectacular book. I love so much about it that it's hard to mention just a couple things, but the moon pages are at the top of my list, as are the crinkle inked pages and envelope of post cards! there is a huge variety of pages in this book... colorful and beautiful! A treasure for sure!
Comment: Beautiful flowers Diane, they brightened up my day! I really love the lily with the texture effect, so awesome. Thank you!!!
Response: I sent those photos specifically because I knew they were bright & cheerful. I took an online cell photo photography class last summer and learned how to create the texture in photos. The lily is one of my favorites.
Comment: Hi Diane, thank you so very much for the fantastic scrapbook page! I love it and I was wondering if you could share with me how you did the white puffy material? It's awesome, thank you again! I'm so glad you joined in the swap! XO Kelly :)
Comment: Thanks for the great pages! I always like reading people's list of things. I really like where you said "What do you mean 'chocolate is not dinner?'". Sounds like something I would say! Lol! Sorry for the late rating!
Comment: Even after looking at the site you sent over, I'm still not remembering getting this swap, but you tried twice, and that's a lot of effort. I know if I got it, I loved it, just not remembering it.
Comment: I loved the ATC, once i got up the courage to open that "parasitic flatworms" envelope LOL!!! Love the vintage look and LOVE the jar! Believe it or not, I use jars for some crafts, so the minute I saw your card I KNEW it was meant for me. The notecard was lovely, too -- so colorful! Thanks for a lovely swap! Hope we get to be partners again.
Comment: Hello to a fellow Michigander !! I loved everything !! So many things to look through - oh my !! The napkins are so cool ! The banner pieces - oh yay ! You made my day with all of the pretties . Best wishes to you !!
Comment: I am so sorry for not rating sooner! THIS ATC IS BY FAR MY MOST FAVORITE ATC EVER!!! I mean it ~ I truly love it! It is so different and so beautiful and it looks awesome on my "HEART" board!! Thank you so, so very much!! XO Kelly :) Oh & the Whale Rock envie is amazing!! What a cool rock!
Comment: I honestly wish I could rate more than a 5 and a heart for this swap. This journal is one of the loveliest things I have seen. I will treasure it forever - you have put so much work into. I feel incredibly privileged to be the recipient of this. I can't thank you enough.
Comment: Thanks for all the bird goodies! I do have a lot of my 365 stuff posted on Flickr, but it's not labeled as such. I think most of the prayer flags were done during that period (except for the one I just did lately).
Response: Happy you like the bird ephemera Creating a Prayer flag is on my creative bucket list. .
Comment: Thanks for sending her home. Too bad it's still about 1/3 empty, but I consider myself very lucky to have even gotten it back at all after 1.5 years!! Lots of good entries and recipes. Have an awesome day!
Response: I had the most fun working in your journal. Hold on to it because I would like to set up a private group like we have for My Turn in Your Journal and get them completed.
Comment: You ROCK!! I also love discovering new things to surprise my partner with on a swap. I am so thrilled you made it just for me, learned a new technique and had fun in the process! It's awesome when people like you read the profile and tailor the item to something on it, even though it's sender's choice :) Thank you so much, it's greatly appreciated. Really wish I could give you more than one heart!! ****** Your ATC is sooooo awesome!! I do LOVE pocket ATCs and yours is really cool :) Thank you so very much!
Response: I owe you a "thank you" as I never would have tried making it if you hadn't put that in your profile. It was challenging yet fun. Very glad you like it; made just for you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful polka dots! I especially liked the washi tape and all the scrapbook/paper crafting stuff. I don't bake, but I can use the dessert paper cups for paper crafting in my books I make! I would have really enjoyed a little note inside the package just saying hi and whatever else! Thanks again and have a great weekend. :)
Response: I had fun collecting the items. I though I put a note inside as I generally do... Glad the package arrived in one piece and you enjoyed the items.
Comment: Thank you for sending mw two cards! I am able to do only one for you because my broken hand still brings me pain after the surgery. If you like, I could send you the other one after I get better. I really like your photocards, they are so well made! Thanks and good luck!
Response: I made the PC's up ahead of time and when I discovered you & I were the only 2 in the swap, I sent you the 2 I made. I am sorry to hear about your hand, I can not image being able to get a lot done with that handicap.
Comment: Wow! Wish I could give you 50 hearts. You really out did yourself. Love Love the page with the song words...that was my husbands & my song. And thanks for the extra page too. Loved the words. Happy Heart month. bearnbabs
Response: I wanted the pages to be extra special. So happy you enjoyed them. Thank you for such a wonderful comment and for the heart!
Comment: Wow - you smash/add so much stuff. Love the purple tree. Thanks so much for sharing!
Response: That purple tree ended up being in so many different swaps and I took that photo on a whim! Go here to see how I discovered it: http://afocusedjourney.blogspot.com/2013/12/celebrating-unexpected-surprises.html
Comment: Thank you for the lovely and very creative ATC. The snowflakes fell off during the mail delivery, but no worries, I gave them all another dot of glue and put them back in their place. Happy New Year!
Response: Oh no! I used the Beacon 3-in-1 glue to attach them. Wonder if it froze then cracked off???? Glad it arrived though. Thank you.
Comment: I feel really bad that I slipped and didn't get this rated earlier. Please accept my apology. What a wonderfully fabulous journal you made for me and I'm so grateful. It's just so perfect for me and everything with it is just awesome. I'm a lucky girl truly! Thank you so much for making life so special for me. The kindness of friends here is what good memories are made of. Merry Christmas to you and yours. You deserve 100 hearts! P.S. I can't stop looking at my beautiful journal...you are so sweet and kind to make it so personal and special. I can't believe that I got to be the recipient of something so wonderful. It's truly a work of art and I am so very grateful for your kindness and love. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Response: Thank you so much! I do hope you will use the journal, it needs to be filled with all kinds of wonderful things.
Comment: Thanks for the interesting card! The Capitol building is nice. It reminds me of the county courthouse here in Denton on the town square, which was built 17 years later. I was curious and looked it up :)
Response: I thought you would enjoy the family history. Capitol building are filled with interesting tidbits of history. One of the few historical buildings I don't mind touring. Glad you liked it.
Comment: Hello Diane! Thank you so much for the wonderful package. I enjpyed looking throught it. I love the cute little envies you sent to me!! I also see that you are following me on Etsy...thanks so much!! Hope to see you around sb!!
Response: I had so much fun going through my stuff and collecting it for this. I always worry that the receiver won't care for "sciencey stuff" but it is a chance one takes. So glad you like the ephemera! Your comment made my day!
Comment: Diane, thank you so much for your card! :) I'll put it up along with the other christmas decorations on first sunday in Advent. Your christmas menu sounds delicious! Hope you have a wonderful (pre)christmas season! :)
Response: Thank you and I wish the same for you. I hope your home gets filled with many beautiful cards.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card and the letter-long message. I totally understand the part about not wishing to decorate much. I love Christmas, but being in retail, I've cut back on my home decorating because we have to do so much in the store. It's also tough because I think my spirit dwindles since I can't be with my extended family as I was when growing up. (We can't have a week between Christmas and New Year's to travel in my retail world.) Perhaps one day I will be able to spend Christmas with my family again and my vigor will return. I hope you decide to hold that card party! That sounds like a capitol idea! Merry Christmas!
Response: I work at Kohls one season because we needed the extra income so I do understand where you are coming from. The world of retail is harsh and few retailers think about their employees anymore. I hope you can discover a small way to bring back the joy of the season in your life.
Comment: Hi! Love the pc - so many things to look at! How fun for you son and the kayaking! Wishing you and your family all the best! It is tough having a son in the military! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the picture of Highclere castle. Totally beautiful and the quotes are wonderful!!! I am having so much fun with this theme. I am hosting this same swap again..... and I think I will use the same theme again! ;)
Response: This is a FUN swap! Your topic was a bit of a challenge but got it done. Will start thinking about what to do for Your next PC.
Comment: Your layout with the lavender was beautiful. Wish it was mine!
Response: Thank you so much. I truly struggled with what to do for that page. Perhaps luck will fall on you and I will get your journal at some point. Glad it got there as I was concerned over it getting lost in the mail!
Comment: Wonderful, wonderful postcards! I think sunflowers are amazing too- have you ever tried to grow the purple coloured ones? They don't grow quite as tall but make a really striking contrast!
Response: OK, never heard of purple sunflowers! Will be looking on line for the seeds. I have grown the reddish ones which are so cute. Am glad the PC was a success.. I look forward to seeing your zone.
Comment: Wow, thank you so much for two amazing postcards!! I love the London bus story, and the decorated bus from Washington, DC is amazing!! Looks like chain maille hanging from it!! My son and mother had a long conversation about the London bus in particular: son: Buh. mother: "Yes, that is a London bus!" son: Dat is a buh!!!! Mother: "Look, it has an ad for "Chicago" on it. son: "BUH!!!!!" Mother: "I wonder why a bus in London has an ad for Chicago on it?" Son: DAT IS A BUUUUUUUHHHHH!!!" :) We loved them both.
Response: So Happy! I HAD to do the double decker bus for your son as they are so fun to ride in! I hope one day he does get to ride in one. The decorated bus was my favorite because it was so different and I knew you wouldn't get one like that. Looking forward to seeing your zine.
Comment: Wow, thank you very much for the great PC with beautiful scenery and your great message/ insider's tips about the city! Frankenmuth sounds like a wonderful city, it must be nice to be able to enjoy the Christmas spirit all year long! Pasta pizza sounds super- tasty, and I absolutely LOVE good chocolate!!! I have only been to Detroit in Michigan, and would love to visit other parts of the state.
Response: The trees are changing now and Michigan is getting all decked out in it's fall colors. Frankenmuth is just a charming and fun little place to visit but if you go there you must plan on eating there. Christmas and great food is what brings in the tourists and keeps them coming back!
Comment: Thank you for your postcard and thank you for reading my profile :) So far I have postcards from Michigan, Oregon, Belgium, Canada!I know it's not much compared to others but I thank you for helping me start my collection. I will definitely start the Hobonichi Diary next year (have to order it). Hopefully I'll have some entries good enough to post!
Comment: I am so impressed, flattered, and honored that you would take the time and care to make me a personalized postcard! That is the most thoughtful thing that anyone has done for me in a long time! You did such a nice job with the paint (not my medium) and I love the quote (self-propelled flowers) and the cutouts! I will never look at butterflies quite the same! I appreciate your thoughtfulness! Thank you so much! Take care, Karen
Comment: Believe it or not I graduated from Battle Creek Central High School! We were only there one year, but I have some great memories. If you are really thinking about moving to AZ, let me know where you might head and I will try to get you some information. Sierra Vista, where I live, is a rather nice medium size town, and we are nearly a mile high, which means we are always cooler then Tucson and lots cooler than Phoenix. Higher elevations and the northern parts of the state are best in terms of climate. Thanks again for the card, and happy swapping!
Comment: Thanks for the nice pc! I lol'd when you said it's not a nice place to visit, since most pc's are meant to attract people to a place.... But I def har heard about flint being bad :-/ stay safe!
Comment: I ABSOLUTELY LOVVEEEEEE THE POSTCARD <333333 U HAVE PUT SOO MUCH EFFORT INTO IT AND ITS SOO BEAUTIFUL .. EVERYHTING ABOUT IS JUST AMAZING :* THANK UU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH .. I LOVE THE QUOTE ESPECIALLY ... :3 ITS AWSOME <333
Comment: Thanks for the great package! I love the pen and tape. I've never heard of the book but it sounds right up my alley. I'll have to jump into it soon. Thanks for some info that you sent on zentangles. I have actually been wanting to get into them and try them out. It gives me something to do while I'm stuck in bed/chair for awhile. I hope this is the swap this package was for by the way. I couldn't find the name of the swap on any of your note but I finally found which one you were my partner for. :) Thanks again for everything
Comment: Absolutely ADORE your handmade card - what a treat! So rarely do I get a handmade one, and this one is soooo "me"! I loved the color, the texture, the technique, the quote - well, everything! thank you for making my day extra special with this awesome pc!!!
