Comment: Thank you once again Barbara! I love receiving happy mail from you :) The envelope looks amazing. My mermaid name is Anemone Green Maiden. I gave the maze with little octopuses to my son. He is 8 and he really enjoy all kinds of puzzles. Actually my sister is adopted and I've never heard that beautiful story about the boy and a starfish. I must tell it to my mum. She loves all kinds of metaphorical stories with a touching moral :) I have pets too and I can't imagine my life without them as same as you. They give me so much joy and love. My son often calls my youngest cat 'his little sister'. That's so cute. I live with 4 cats and 2 dogs. Did you and your hubby go on that little trip that you were planning? I will have my holiday trip with my son soon :) Can't wait it! I think I mentioned that also in the note for you (in the happy mail). We're going to Kolobrzeg. I always liked the idea of the escaping room, but I am afraid to try. I am worried that it will be to difficult to escape :) Besides, most of that kind of places in my area will only accept groups. Have a nice August!
Response: Oh I am so happy you enjoyed it! Please do share the starfish story with her. It is quite touching when put into the prospective of an adoptive parent. We did get to go on our trip but wound up having so much fun stuff to do each day that by the evening we were too tired to go to the escape room. All of the ones around us accept groups as well, but if you go in, often times they have room to add you to a group so you can go. I hooe your holiday trip is a wonderful one, all of our kids started back to school yesterday. We have a family trip planned in mid October though that they will miss a week of school for, but we are all very excited as we are going to be staying in a large house in the Smoky mountains.
Comment: Your first attempt is beautiful & cute!I smiled at "hogs & kisses" :) Thanks for the extrs, I like Vera Lane studios' design too! That ATC cover is amazing too! :D How did you do the background, btw?
Response: I am so glad you liked it! The background was made with Lindy's stamp gang magicals and a dry embossign folder. :-)
Comment: What a freakin' AweMazing package you put together for me!!!!!

Comment: Greetings from Marina Swift Wave (my new mermaid name!)
Thanks for the mermaid themed happy mail!
You are coming to my city soon, well, I live outside the city in Smyrna.
I never knew about the theme rooms place but I saw one on the Big Bang Theory once.
I have heard of Junkman's Daughter but have never been there. I hope you have a wonderful time while you are here.
I would love to see photos of the habitats you have built and are building for your furkids, they sound fascinating. I bet you have some cool things built in for your cats as well, like the houses you see on the internet.
My email is pottery[email protected] if you can send photos
Love and Light
Response: Thank you so much, I appreciate all your kind words, and the hope you shared!
Comment: I love the envelope you sent the letter in, so pretty! I have actually never listened to an audiobook, but I've heard so many good things about the format that I've been wanting to give it a try.
I'm surprised your mom would read those kinds of stories to such a young child! It sounds like you definitely had an early appreciation of his work.
I have not heard of The Eyes of the Dragon, but I just picked up a book at my library that's also based on the world of The Dark Tower called The Wind Through the Keyhole. I also just found out my library has the Dark Tower graphic novels. The 3rd one was checked out, so I grabbed the first two and have read the first so far. They are pretty much a prequel to the Dark Tower books. I really enjoy art, so I find them interesting.
Something else that I enjoy that isn't exactly by Stephen King are the movie adaptations of his short stories. Netflix has done a few now, and I've really enjoyed them all! (Except for the Dark Tower movie, but that's another story!) I think it's great that he really doesn't restrict people from adapting his stories.
Merci beaucoup for all the book recommendations! I really enjoyed your letter!
Response: Thank you so much! I have not checked out the Netflix adaptations, but will definitely have to do that. The Wind Through the Keyhole definitely is part of the DT series, but was written and published much later. I have not domt the graphic nivels...it just isn't my format. And you know, I think my Mom was so into the books herself, she really didn't think I was old enough to understand them, and figured she could read them to me and kill two bords with one stone. But I have always been a fan of scary stories, so maybe there is something there, lol!
Comment: Barbara, I loved the things you sent for this swap, especially the letter! It's so nice to get to know a bit about our swap partners and I love that you said you usually include a letter like this with your swaps! A grand idea and I may try it myself, if you don't mind. I also loved the things you included: the lacy paper, the blue with the gold koi fish, the textured mushroom paper, and even the unique clear envelope that you used; all were beautiful! Thank you so much for a wonderful swap!
Response: You are so very welcome! The idea for the ketter actually came from @curlytea who sent one last year. I loved the idea, and have tried to do so evr since!

Comment: WOW! What a great swap. You are going to have to tell me your secret on how you were able to make that envelope with my name cut out of it. I loved everything. I wish that I could give you ten stars. Thank you again.
Response: I carefully took it apart at the glued sections, then ran it through my die cut machine. I used my adhesive gun to attach a clear projector sheet to the inside of the envelope, then added adhesive to the seams and sealed it back together. I am so happy you liked it!

Comment: Oooh aahhh, l love the flip book. I realized I have a couple sheets of that paper somewhere...but can't find it anywhere. Wouldn't that have been funny if we both sent each other the same papers haha. Anyway very fun swap. Thanks for not cancelling. Hope we swap again soon.
Response: I am so hapoy you liked it! I loved what you sent me as well, and look forward to swapping more with you soon!
Comment: What a nice surprise to get a full letter and hear about your recent adventures, complete with photos! :) I enjoy the May flowers theme, too, and am very much looking forward to using the pretty little kit you put together. My favorite part is where you share your own project that you made with the same flowers. Thanks again for a delightful swap!
Response: You are so welcome! I am so happy you enjoyed the things I shared!
Comment: You wont believe it but I was somewhere recently and I saw a actual box of m00n pies and said to myself "I want that box so bad just so I can cut that groovy m00n logo out" sign. But what would I do with all the pies? Prolly give them to my goat. But I wanted that box! And here comes Karma riding in on her m00n pie horse. lololol. Oh Barbara, I just love that logo!!! The back of the card is so pretty too. And you used that beautiful vintage flower stamp and the balloon too! Oh thank you! Hay, did you say you were going to the drive-in? Do you live in Mayberry? lololol
Response: Yep. I pretty much do live in Mayberry, lol!!!!!
Comment: Gasp! Omgosh, its so preeeeeeeeeeetty!!!!! That embossing is eye catching! Imagine the sun hitting all the metallics when I pulled it from the box. That was the gasp. LOL Remember I asked you about that pretty silver paint you used sometime back and you told me the name but I forgot. Who was that again? I still gotta get that. And whats this pretty metallic raspberry spray you used on this postcard? Sooooo preeeeeetty too.
Response: Omgosh girl! You’ll have to send me a pic of the silver cause I don’t remember it. The pc I just sent was done with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magicals
Comment: Great collection of items. I thought it was kinda neat that you sent me items from tuprli for Elvis and I sent out Elvis stuff from Memphis....lol...thanks so much!
Response: You are so welcome, lol! We lived just south of Collierville in MS for a few years and so I know your area very well. We did loads of shopping and I had friends there, and we still come up to go to Ikea and the International Farmers Market often!

Comment: Wow Barbara I am so glad I got this PC from you! It took forever to get to me~Love our naval ships~That must have been quite an experience as a young girl spending 2 nights on one~Thanks so much!
Response: Wow, it did take forever to get there, but I am very glad it did! And yes, itw as an experience I cherish, as we were very fortunate to be invited to do so. It was really a great honor, amd very eye opening into what teeny tiny wuarters these guys live in within the huge ships!
Comment: Pretty cat card! I volunteer at the local shelter and it looks like one of the new cats named Squiggles. I spent most of my time there yesterday with a huge black cat named Jack Jack sitting on me. Thanks for the swap!
Response: Awwww, we have a huge black cat named Stonewall. He weighs over 20 pound
Comment: Thank you for this X is for Xi'an Bell Tower postcard, Barbara! I find it rather odd - but fascinating and humorous! - that in the background are the Golden Arches of a McDonald's. :-) I'm sorry that you weren't able to visit Xi'an in person on your trip. Maybe next time? :-) Thank you for sharing! :-) <3
Response: There are McDonald's everywhere in China! When we took our kids, I had one son who would pretty much on,y eat there. I couldn't believe we took him half way around the world to eat at McDonald's every day! Lol!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely white tiger postcard. I've always admired their beauty! The facts you included were new to me as well! I've never been lucky enough to see one in person, that'd be a sight! Happy swapping!
Response: I am so happy you liked it! I was really fascinated by the facts I shared, and yes, I definitely hope to see one in my lifetime, but think I will also be a bit sad knowing what it took to breed it in captivity
Comment: I just love your “gentle giraffe” atc. I like how you embossed the stamp image on blue background which makes the image really stand out. The white trim is just perfect around the edges. I love the sleeve you put your atc in with the cat on the back, really nice. Thank you Barbara for the wonderful extras, and I really appreciate you sending me the same image on the pretty pastel background. I’m so happy to have this in my collection and I can’t wait to use the goodies. Oh I need to tell you I love the card with the matching envelope exactly my style. Thanks again Barbara for such an amazing swap! 💝💕🦒💝💕🦒

I said if I could I would guarantee that the move my husband is about to do (switch jobs) is the right move for him and us. That he will be happy and we will be okay financially. He has been at his job since he was 17!!! Fingers crossed! Our weather is off the wall ~ 20' one day and then 50'!!! Have a great day!! XO
Comment: Thank you so much Barbara 💙â„! I loved your winter themed mail. I've already started to use the stickers on outgoing mail 😊. It's always nice to hear from you. Until we "meet" again, take care â¤ðŸ˜˜. Oh, and thanks for using such beautiful stamps!

Response: Lol! I adore the magazine, and all the great stories about her family, and the beautiful places and artists she interviews!
Comment: I actually live about 35 north of the Maryland border, it's boundaries and shape are probably one of the most interesting in the US, actually. Love the cool stamps, too Great to hear from you!
Comment: Thank you for the JeToy postcard - didn't even think about that one for the letter J! Hope your pipes got fixed fast. Despite temps WAY below freezing here, my pipes have stayed intact so far..........
Response: We got the repair done the next day thankfully. But we have since had another freeze though we were able to thaw it before it burst, and then today my dad had one that froze. We just aren’t built this far south for freezing temps two weeks straight!
Comment: Hello Barbara -- thanks for the lovely packet of winter-themed goodies. Perfect timing since I woke up to several inches of snow. I saw that earlier this month is was even snowing way down south where you are! Stay warm! Best wishes for 2018, al

Response: I am so glad you enjoyed the postcards. I wish you a very happy new year!
Comment: Ha! I definitely got a laugh out of this postcard too. 20° is really chilly! Here, it's been staying around 40° but it did get down to 32° so it could snow in time for Christmas. Happy holidays to you and your family!

Thank you for organizing this swap and best wishes for the upcoming holiday season :D
Response: Oh, thank you for the kind words! I am so happy you liked the swap!
Comment: Your ATC made me laugh, Barbara. I am having a very difficult week (year, actually) and I had to drag myself to the mailbox. I open up your card and see this woman all dressed up and smiling with the fortune "You will have a party." Well, that made me smile because it can't be further from the truth. Then I turn the card over and there's grumpy cat! Now that's more like it. :) Thank you for the ATC, the pretty notecard, and your note.
Response: I'm so sorry your having a difficult time, but glad I could bring a smile to your face
Comment: Thank you for the glitter card. I got most of the answers correct, though I couldn't remember what sort of bb gun Ralphie wanted (I don't like that movie, so I never watch it). Also, the vintage Christmas stamps are fantastic!
Response: I'm so happy you liked them! You know it's funny, but I have never seen the movie from start to finish. I've always caught it in pieces and parts, lol!
Comment: Thank you for the great card and extras. And thank you for hosting this swap. I love cards and it seems that most of the family doesn't send them any more.
Response: You are so welcome! I get around 150-200 cards a year, and hang up every one. Only about 6 are from family and close friends, all the rest are from swap-bot and my other online mail friends. I agree, too few people send out cards these days, and it's such a lovely thing to receive!
Comment: Oh Barabara, I love the snowman Noel card, one of my favorites so far! And these tags, did you make them with your Minc? So pretty! Thank you for sharing your family traditions, loved learning about you and your family. Awesome fun aren't they? What a wonderful time! <3 We are almost ready for Christmas and I decorated before Thanksgiving this year because our middle Sister came to visit. I'm waay ahead of schedule this year, yay!! lol
Response: I did make them with my minc! I’m so happy you enjoyed everything!
Comment: Thank you, Barbara. I've put in a lot of hours excavating pre-historic Calusa mounds here in Florida as a volunteer with the Univ. of Fla's archaeology research teams, so I found your card intriguing.
Response: Oh, I'm so happy I chose that particular one then!
Comment: Thank you so much for the amazing glittery Santa card. I adore it. It is really beautiful. :) Thanks also for the very nice ornament and a beautifully decorated envelope. I wish you all the best and have a happy holidays.
Comment: Thanks for the cute Christmas rabbits card. Last year I was in Mississippi for the first time--because of the floods train passengers on their way to New Orleans were put on a bus and got to see Jackson, Yazoo City, etc. Only 4 states now left to visit. Happy holidays

Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely letter you sent me!! I loved reading it and it made me feel like I know you a lot better now 😊ðŸ‘â¤. Thank you for taking the time to write it and for sharing â¤
Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it!
Comment: Thank you for the echidna card. You mention it looks like a cross between a hedgehog and an anteater... Well, the Dutch name = "mierenegel" > mieren = ants and egel = hedgehog! So you have a great eye :)
Response: How very cool! I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the great info!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great card. I LOVE when people have a lot to write on a card, but sometimes I fail at that. :) I love Oz books and L. Frank Baum's other writings. Most of it I discovered as an adult. I didn't know that there are 40 books, and that L. Frank Baum wrote SO MUCH. It's been fun to discover and I really love the style of his writing, even if it is rather heavy on puns. That Patchwork Girl of Oz is my absolute favorite Oz series book, and The Sea Fairies is my favorite L. Frank Baum book overall. Being open about being gay on my profile might actually be a response to being on the site. When I joined, I kept running into things in people's preferences like them not wanting "politicized" rainbows. Which seemed thinly-veiled. I grew up in a very conservative church of Christ. I wouldn't trade that for anything, but it did cause me to struggle to love myself for a long time. When I realized 2 things, I was able to be completely open about it. 1. My relationship with Christ is mine. I don't have to justify who I am or how I believe to people who spend so much time judging me. 2. I don't have to be less than just because I am gay. One thing a lot of people miss is how prevalent relationship talk is. It doesn't occur to most people to not mention who they are married to or dating or whatnot because of what people might think about it. While I am incurable single, I don't want any restrictions on being me. I want to be able to find me a husband and celebrate that the same way anyone else would.
Sorry, I didn't mean to have so much to say! I really appreciate your card. You probably didn't need all this explanation. :) THANK YOU for using that Scissortail stamp. I've been waiting for someone to use one for me.
Response: Thank you so much for your response. I am so happy that you liked the PC and the stamp, and I love learning more about you. I believe God created each of us to be who we are and you are absolutely correct...to be less is just that, less. I think it's funny that the great majority of people who criticize gay people call themselves Christians and want to quote the Bible. To that I also like to quote "judge not, lest he be judged" and that we are to "love one another as God loves us." It is not for us TO judge, that is Gods job alone, and so I truly believe we should live led by our hearts and our faith, and that in the end God will sort us all out, lol! Well, now I've written my book in response. I'll sincerely look forward to exchanging postcards again soon! Oh, btw...I also LOVE The Patchwork Girl of Oz! I must admit I've never read The Sea Fairies, and so ill be heading straight away to check that out!
Comment: Barbara, I was tickled to get the postcards you sent and loved your letter! I haven't seen the ruby-throat hummingbird around our feeders but I keep hoping. We get what might be the females, who are not as colorful, but still fun to watch. The temple garden pc is also appreciated, as we grow bonsai trees and the serenity of the garden appeals to me. I think the dragonflies pc is my favorite; I see them occasionally in my back yard and think of them as good luck. You chose perfectly for me and I thank you! If you DO happen to run across a capybara post card, please keep me in mind! LOL!
Response: I most definitely will! I'm so happy you liked them. I chose the garden one specifically because your profile mentioned your bonsai trees.
Comment: Thank you- I really enjoyed reading your letter and thanks for the washi too :) We have 2 kids with the same names!
Thank you for explaining S'mores - I have never quite understood what they were until this Summer when I went to Canada and we had them -I ADORE them!!!
Response: Well it sounds like we have great taste in choosing names, lol! I'm so happy you enjoyed everything!
Comment: So sorry for the delay in reporting. I was straightening up recently and found a bag of mail including your swap.
I was only in Texas once about 25 years ago and I would love to go back there one day now that my cousin moved down there.
Comment: Thank you so much for the Alice PC. I have also loved her since I was a child. My favorite characters were Alice, of course, the white rabbit and the Cheshire cat. Oh, and I can't forget the Mad Hatter! But really, I can't think of a single one that I didn't like! Thanks again!
Comment: So lovely to read about your family and your autumn activities. You describe it all so lively, I can see the kids running around in the colored leaves. Love the washi and cute stickers, and the very special USA-The Netherlands stamp! thanks 💙💜💛â¤ðŸ’šðŸ’•
Response: I’m so happy you liked it all, thank you!
Comment: No you have not sent me this card...I love it! Sounds like a lot of fun under your roof! Mine with the 12 cats and 3 dogs can get pretty pull-your-hair-out chaotic. Lmao But I’d be bored if it wasn’t!
Response: I’m so glad! I almost chose a different one, lol. I know all about chaotic but l wouldn’t have it any other way!
Comment: What a beautiful fall postcard! We had a very dry summer and early fall, so there is no color on the leaves this year. Very disappointing! So this card brightened my day and I have it on my bulletin board and when I look at it, it brings a smile to my face! Thank you!
Response: Oh, same here. There's one tree that is just as you drive into town that is absolutely incredibly gorgeous every year. People stop and line up down the road to get pictures, and you'll frequently see families in front of it getting pictures made. This year is is just so blah, it's depressing. I loved this swap as it gave me a glimpse of the beauty of the season we aren't getting here!
Comment: AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I got it today!!!! I hope I catch you before you resend !!
What an absolutely AMAZING envie lady! I have never seen one put together like that, and it was so dang cool!! I love the washi, I love the layers of envelope pockets, I love the stamped images, I love, love LOVE it all!!!! You RAWK! Comment: Hi Barbara, thank you for the great PC, I love the assorted postage stamps, esp. the Halloween Jack o Lantern! so cool :) This year the twins are wearing store bought costumes, little red riding hood / vampire and some ghoulish character. This is the first year for a horse drawn carriage ghost tour, based on true stories. Did you know Victoria is the most haunted city in Canada? I have never seen a ghost nor would I want to. Happy Halloween.
Response: I did not know that! Sounds like you guys are going to have a fun Halloween!
Comment: Wow! haha :) I've only glanced through a few pages so far, but there is so much work and detail in this journal. It will be fun to fully explore over the next few days! And my cats think you are BRILLIANT for all the ribbons and danglies. :) It looks like you put a lot of time and effort into this journal. Thanks so much for sharing with me. :)
Response: Phew! I’m so glad you like it! I was so stressed at the end worrying it may not be your style. And lol about your kitties! I had to bat one of mine off the fringe one night, lol!!!
Comment: Thank you for your postcard. Very interesting about Elvis. I was sunning on the back porch listening to the radio and heard that Elvis had died. I ran in to tell my Mom because she and my aunt had tickets to his upcoming concert!
Response: Oh wow! What a memory, and how awful for them. I bet those tickets would be worth a fortune now a days!

Comment: OM gosh! How awesome! Thank you! Did you buy the stationery just for this swap? How did you get the cool OZ postage stamp? Wow--a zillion hearts!
Response: Would you believe I've been hanging on to that for about three years, waiting for just the right person to send it to? And the postage I bought off of ETSY from a little shop. I'll send you a pm with The link!
Comment: I love this PC. . . and funny thing is I've been reading several books by Greg Iles that were set in Natchez, MS and I can envision this restaurant being there and I bet the food is really good. I just love places like this and have seen several similar type restaurants in my travels through the years. Thank you so much for sharing ~~
Response: Oh I got to meet him at the MS book festival and he signed a couple of my books. He was so funny and personable, and I really enjoyed his panel and being able to speak to him afterwards. Would love to know what books you're reading!
Comment: Thank you so much for the great postcard! It does sound like fun to travel this road from start to finish!
Response: Yes, we are planning to travel from the Tupelo stop up to terminus in Nashville maybe this fall. Right now they have part closed near Nashville due to road construction overhead I believe, so we are waiting until we can do the whole stretch. Then we will have traveled it from start to finish and hit every stop along the way. It's very exciting!
Comment: Thanks for the clever postcard of Yety! These last few letters have not been easy even though I searched out cards for nearly the whole alphabet as soon as I joined the swap! I would not mind doing another round next year so I could have a complete set; I missed a couple during this series. Thanks for a fun Y card!
Response: Oh, I know! I missed the first half so I'm looking forward to the next round!
Comment: Hi Barbara! Thank you for the great postcard and i loved it! I have always loved Sandra Boynton's artwork! She has a great sense of humor! Loved your quote too! Make sense to me! It was 2 am when you wrote the PC and i was wondering are you a night owl? Or at work? I saw that as i have written swaps late at night too! I'm just up doing many things but doing swaps sometimes too! have a great day yourself! thanks for sending me your choice in the swap! Appreciate it all!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the pc! I'm definitely a night owl, plus an insomniac, so I am almost always up overnight. Shooting you a pm!
Comment: I love it in the sense I'm not even sure I get it hahaha !
I want to cry though, (USPS's fault sooooo not yours!!) the gone with the wind stamp got ripped in half, sighhhhhhh. I don't know which angers me more, that or when they scribble stamps with pens!!!
Response: Oh no!!! :-( How sad they ruined the vintage stamp! I'm glad you loved the PC though!
Comment: thanks for the card. I think I rather go to this smaller, more charming looking Coca Cola museum than the slick fancy place they have in Atlanta (I think?). :)
Response: We almost went to the one in Atlanta, but it was so crazy busy we decided to skip it when we got there. Instead we walked around Olympic park for awhile, and then headed elsewhere. The one in Vicksburg had sooooo much memorabilia in a small space, and everything was meticulously labeled and explained. A very well done and maintained place for sure!
Comment: Thank you for the awesome envelope and contents. I love all the things you've picked for me. Now the summer holiday is over I can't wait to use and try these things. 💙💜💛â¤ðŸ’šáƒš (✿ ◕‿◕) ᓄ✂

Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard and the wonderful matching stamps. I loved getting this in my mailbox! Stamps were uncancelled by the way ;)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's always a toss up, half the time my po cancels and half the time they don't. I dropped those in the box there after hours, so guess it was the girl who doesn't cancel who worked that day, lol!

If you only knew how much I love the moon I am in love with this concrete-esk colors and texture hand made replica of the surface of the moon with craters/ I could even share it with my vision impaired friend as it is to scale and indented craters that fingertips fit in on a deep space black PC with stars. Blue RIbbon at the Science Fair advanced level!! Comment: Thanks for the great card. I too have always had at least 1 cat. Mine are currently 16 & 15. I think I'd find it hard to have another if I lose these two.
I would love to know more about beekeeping. My dad got a hive, but hasn't ever finished it up & acquired bees.
So sorry to hear that your parents are not well.

Comment: Nice card - I've been to Maine once, on the way home from Canada; we wanted to see Niagara Falls after being in Nova Scotia. I remember lots of trees! What a nice family fact you have of your Granny babysitting Elvis. I forgot he had to be a little boy once! haha! Wisconsin has a lot of trees, too; it depends on the weather whether we have nice fall colors. Thanks again!
Response: You are so welcome, I appreciate your comments. I find it so interesting to hear about places I've never been!
Comment: Hello again 😠I hope you're not getting sick of sending to me because I am super happy to continue receiving your packages!!! I loved everything you sent me and have so many ideas for what to use it all in. Such pretty papers, cut outs, confetti and more. Even the stamps and envelope were awesome! Also, that was my first zazzle postcard 😊 Thank you!
Response: You are so welcome! I am so happy you love what I've sent, it is what it's all about!
Comment: Barbara, the postcard was perfect. Though you forgot to put the swap name on the card and I got a bit of "search the swaps" to find you to give a rating. But, success!! I found you. Thanks so much. See you around the swaps.
Response: Oh no!!! I'm so sorry, I usually write the swap name first thing right down the pc dividing line. I'm so sorry you had to search but so happy you liked it!
Comment: Thank you for the cool insect ephemera. I love the tissue paper envelope and that you included extra for me to play with. I don't think I'll be trying the fried grasshoppers any time soon though - regardless of how delicious my cats think they are 😂😺😻
Response: Lol!!! Me either! But I thought it was interesting and might be fun in a junk journal. My kids DID eat fried scorpion in China once!

Comment: Wow, thanks so much for the lovely postcards! I love, love, love the bird one, I might just have to keep that one to hang up at my desk. And the bird and kitty extras are to die for! Thanks so much for such a generous and thoughtful swap. :)
Response: It was my pleasure. I'm so happy you liked it all!
Comment: Wonderful postcard! If it's the Civil Rights museum in Birmingham, I've visited there! Years ago, though! My hair was blue for a while in college, but that was a long time ago now! Thanks for the pc!
Response: Hmmmm, I'm thinking that was actually of the one in Memohis, but I've had both so it may just have been Birmingham. How cool that you e visited there as well. As to your blue hair, I'm going next week to change mine. I'm going from bright to pastel...it's called opal. Can't wait!
Comment: Oh wow. This is the most gorgeous and creative swap I have received in about 3 years! It is a work of art, worthy of a frame. Comment: Thanks for this great Mississippi PC! We have petrified trees up here too! Where did you get the tiny weather stickers? I love them and the stamps! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: How cool that you guys also have them! They believe some of the ones in the MS petrified forest came from the west coast through rivers and floods. Ours is close to the MS River, so that's how they'd have eventually traveled. I get my weather stickers at an etsy shop, I'll pm the link to you...she's so awesome and cheap!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely happy mail you sent me â¤. I loved reading your sweet note and I envy your new washi storage 👌. It's always nice to meet another fellow washi addict 😉😂. I love the samples you sent me ðŸ˜ðŸ˜˜â¤

Comment: What a lovely, and very unique, selection of pink & purple goodies! My faves are the playing cards, and the humming bird (wrapping?) paper. I don't want to cut that one up to use it, I think I'll be hanging it up in my craft room so I can oogle it on a regular basis! Thank you so much!
Response: You are so welcome! The paper is an art paper I got at SamFlax on my last trip to Atlanta...there are such gorgeous art papers there!
Comment: Thanks for the Perfect Postcard, Barbara! I'm a Letter Writers Alliance member, too, but have rarely gotten letters from fellow members, so this is pretty exciting. :)
Response: Oh, I'm so happy you liked it! I had to stretch it, but as you'd mentioned liking typewriters, it was just too perfect not to send. I'm a pretty new LWA member, I've done pigeon post, and am currently waiting my first Penpal!
Comment: Thank you for the fun pcs, that bird/duck one is so odd, ha ha. My favorite is that b&w moustache, so great and strange! The kitty is pretty. Thanks also for angeling the bookmark swap, that was so sweet of you! I really appreciate it!

Comment: Barbara, this collection is gorgeous! I just watched a video about Lyndy's Magikals... it didn't do them justice. I am trying to figure out a way to showcase the entire collection... They are so beautiful and special... thank you! I love the shrinking plastic too! Ha! I can't wait to try it!

Response: Hope you had a great vacation! I'm so happy you liked the shrinky dink one, it's seems to be everyone's fav, lol! The Christmas one was on an art paper background that I bought at the Paper Source. I knew I'd find lots of uses for the beautiful green and gold paper!
Comment: Thank you for the "Alice" PC. I hope your wrist is ok!
Response: Well, it's a good news bad news thing. I don't need surgery, but it's arthritis so it's not really going to get better. Meds are helping though, so overall I'm happy. Anything that keeps me in my art room is excellent â¤ï¸
Comment: This was an awesome envelope of ephemera!! I loved it, especially the bird with the foil details and the envelope itself. Thank you 😊 Just a note, the envelope was split almost completely on one side. I might tape the edges if you were going to do another vellum envie!

I have everything but that and they would LOVE it! Thanks for writing that and sending it alone my way! Have a wonderful summer!
Response: You are so welcome! Yes, my herb garden is t complete without a plant or two of catnip. We dry some to use in the winter, and give them some fresh during season. It's fun to see our 12 yr okd Kitty act like a kitten!
Comment: You do not disappoint with your swaps! The cats and the song? Perfection! By coincidence, I won $65 on a Village People slot machine in April. I need to figure out my mystic connection with them :-)

Comment: I have not heard of Mount Enterprise but Texas is a big state! I hope you get a chance to visit again, somewhere besides San Antonio (although San Antonio is nice you should see the Gulf coast). Thanks for the Nashville postcard, I enjoyed it!
Comment: Wasn't this a fun and different concept for a swap? Thanks for the hand you dealt me -- delightful cards, so I am definitely a winner! Extra card, too - thanks. Response: Awww, thanks! I'll look forward to hearing back. Be sure to add your return address ;-)

Comment: Wow, that envie with all the creamy blue images! That must of been a unique bag? All that frun ephemera too? Very frun! So pretty! I love that spice tea..........just for the tiger so its great to get one in zee mail! x
Response: The bag is from Paper Source...I LOVE them! I always cut the letters out or reuse the bag someway
Comment: Wooow, thank you so much for this awesome envelope! Saying "I love serial killers" sounds a little weird, but in any case they fascinate me, and I really enjoyed your ATCs and the info sheets. Also, the cthulhu stuff is great! Thank you!
Response: I had so much fun with this swap. I actually did 3 years in college with a criminal psychology major as I wanted to go into the FBI and work profiling serial killers, so I, too, find them very fascinating. I'll admit the Cthulhu stuff was outside my expertise, but my best friend is very much a fan, so she was able to guide me in the right direction. I'm so glad you enjoyed all the things I sent!
Comment: Hi Barbara!
Absolutely Adore your take on the flower theme!! So creative, colorful and fun! I love the eye flower, fabric stem/leaves and the background! OK... I love it ALL! What a lot of work. Thank you for taking the time to make me this very beautiful, original and creative "Eye of Spring" ATC. Thank you also for the extra flowers and the copper tape... I bet the copper tape will be perfect for a steampunk ATC
Response: Lol, I'm so happy you liked it! I love quirky odd things, and I knew I had to use that flower image. I'm glad you liked the extras too!
Comment: Oh Barbara! They are both beautiful! Thank you so much for all of the effort you put into both of the ATCs! These are going on "my wall"! Mine are almost ready! The hard part is done... I was so eager to work on it! Hugs, Patty xoxo
Comment: Deluxe to be sure! Thank you, thank you. Loved everything--the postcards (you send some of my favorites), the candy, paperdolls, kitty socks (which I shall wear to yoga next week)--and the epitome--or should I saw the Holy Grail--the Monty Python ATC. It was a fabulous swap. Thanks so much. I shall think of you when I chomp the head off a Peep.
Response: You were sooooo much fun to buy for! I'm so happy you liked everything. I had to cut out the paper dolls to make them fit into the container, and seriously, I had so much fun with this swap. I'm truly glad you liked it all...and appreciated the M.P. ATC, lol!
Comment: Hi Barbara! Thanks so much for the adorable miniature horse pc and the bunny makes it all the better! You can never have too many addy labels, so if there is something we could trade that would rock! Just let me know! Hugs, Happy Easter, and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I will pm you about a private swap!
Comment: Barbara ~ I love the animal PCs you sent for this swap. . .they are all so great. I, too, have some really nice Zazzle ones and like you I use them as an extra - I realize some are very poor quality but the ones I've received have always been very good quality. Thanks again for the great PCs and the extra. . . hope to see you in more swaps ~~
Response: I'm so glad you liked what I chose for you, and I hope we see one another in swaps again soon!
Comment: Thank you for the great postcards, Barbara. The snail is particularly delightful & I love the eye card you included as an extra! I don't know about the USPS though - they took exactly a month to deliver your envelope! I wish mail could talk. I'd love to hear what it's been doing for 31 days!
Response: I'm just so thankful it made it! I've had SO MUCH mail taking a month to get to or from me in the US. It's just crazy!
Comment: I just got this card today, postmarked a month ago, seems it got lost on the way! Sorry!! Thank you so much for the wonderful card. I enjoy anything Disney especially when its not something as typical or something behind the scenes, absolutely love this card :) Hope all is well!
Response: It seems a lot of mail has been taking circuitous routes lately! I'm glad it did make it to you and that you like it!
Comment: Oh my gosh! What a wonderful envelope of steampunk items!!! I love it. Thank you so much! Thanks for letting me know the stamped images were done with staz on...Valuable info! Response: Oh, I'm so happy it had such great timing, and that you liked the stamps, and things I sent!
Comment: Thank you so much for the samples and extras! It was fun to see what you chose for each month. We're actually heading to Orange Beach next week to visit my MIL, so that was neat to see in your notes. :) Also, someone recently sent me an envelope sealed with that koi fish tape and I liked it so much I tried to peel it off the envie to save, but it didn't work. That was a special surprise to see it on the extra card. Thank you!!
Response: I'm so glad you liked my choices...and that I hit a home run with the extras! We have gone to Orange Beach for the past three years to the national competition there. We usually stay in Milton, FL for a few days and hit Navarre beach, and then go for a night or two to O.B. And stay at a hotel on the beach. We would love some recommendations for non touristy great seafood restaurants!
Comment: Wow Barbara! You went above and beyond my expectations and the requirements.
Thank you so much for everything!
You have really set the bar high... You may have ruined all my future sticker swaps. I am officially spoiled now! :)
Response: Lol, I'm so happy to be able to share some of my stash with someone who can use and appreciate it! Thank you so much for swapping with me!
Comment: Your package was so sweet and thoughtfully put together! You have an amazing collection of stamps or digital images. I laughed to myself at one of the items, because I think you already have some of the things I sent you! I'm sure you'll use them, but I guess great minds think alike! I hope you liked everything I sent you too. Let me know if you want to swap again.
Response: I haven't gotten hours yet, but I'm out of town, so it's probably waiting on me! I know whatever you sent I will use and love ;-) And I'm always up for a swap with you!
Comment: I really loved reading your note and description of the tape, and I love the extra washi as well. Thank you so much for a great swap!! Oh, and your mailman stamp on the envelope- he's amazing!
Response: Aww, thanks! I'm so glad you liked it all. And, I'm glad you like the mailman, I love him too!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely Art on the Boulevard card. I miss the amazing autumn color now that we're here in HEATVILLE. There is a little bit since we are in the Northeast, but it's sparse and much later. Just south of us is all evergreen.
Comment: Wow, the Ibis is a neat looking bird! I agree, would love to see one in person :) My kitties love to help in the evening as I do my postcards too :) They are worse then having toddlers at times haha!

Comment: Loved the Asian ATC it was very creative I loved the background you use on it (what technique) did you use for this? Also, love the extra goodies you put in the envelope for embellishments. I loved the beautiful peacock card you sent the ATC in. The card is stunning, and the decorated envelope that comes with it is very pretty. Happy Swapping!
Response: The background was a gelli print, and I added some green Tim Holtz brand distress ink to part of it. I'm so glad you liked everything!
Comment: Hello Barbara! Thank you for the moonlight postcard with cat and "L" silhouette. This PC view is wonderful inspiration for me to create handmade PCs, mail art for coming Halloween season. Also you added happy Happy St Paddy's day smiling sticker - Fun! Hope you have a good March.
Response: One of the greatest compliments I believe you can receive is that something you've done/said/given has given inspiration to someone...so that I you so muc! I'm so happy you liked the PC and that it inspired you!
Comment: I definitely put these in the same category with Zazzle, even if they really aren't that kind at all. Anyway, I love this card. It's great. And I appreciate the stamps you used. Good job finding a use for those boxes.
Response: I'm so happy you liked it! After reading your profile I just felt like it was such a great fit. Looking forward to more swaps with you!
Comment: What a great PC you sent for this swap! I've never been on a helicopter either and have no desire to. . .I'm not big on flying in anything so a helicopter is definitely out. Thanks again for the great PC and hope to see you in future swaps ~~

Comment: Thanks for your Army postcard. You have a family to be proud of--and I suspect they don't get nearly the gratitude our entire country should give them! I really liked your choice of Army for the A postcard.
Response: I am so very proud of my military family! And I'm really happy you liked the pc!
Comment: I always meant to get that print of the famous Kiss. Thanks to you - now I have it!
I have it in a great size for my new space & I can hang it on my string and clip banner of mini art. I have it in a most elegant and unique version thanks to your clever embellishments. I would venture that the photographer would give you thumbs up too. I give you my highest praise for your creativity. Lucky Me to get to recieve from you
Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked how I altered it, and am honored you feel it's worthy to hang!
Comment: Barbara, Portland Head Lighthouse is my all out favorite. I have visited it many times and still am awed by how they managed to build it on a pile of rocks. The ocean there can get pretty fierce at times. Shirley
Response: Wow, I'm kinda jealous right now, lol! I would so love to drive down the eastern seaboard one day and visit a lot of the lighthouse. I'm so glad you liked the PC!
Comment: It's a little ashame you crossed out another swap name and changed it to this swap name. Would be lots better if you just added this swap name or even a post it would do it for me.
But thanks! ATC was nice :)
EDIT: I am sorry! I thought you sent another swap you got to me! My English isnt so good, so I misunderstood! Very sorry!
Thanks for your lovely ATC!
Response: I'm sorry that bothered you. I accidentally wrote the wrong swap name. Hope you never have that mistake that costs you a heart, but I'm glad you liked the ATC I created.
Comment: Thank you for hosting such a cool swap! I really love your mail art. It was on my counter for a few hours before I could open it and I for the life of me could not think of what swap it was for. So many weird and wacky holidays! I love it!
Response: You are so welcome! I love the creativity the wacky holidays ensure....like they are crying out for Mailart, lol! I'm so happy to have been able to intregue and delight you!
Comment: What a pretty notecard! I opened it and there was the cutest St Patrick's ATC, and great stickers⤠Thank you so much😀Happy St. Pattys!☘
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I was in the mood to create some St. Patrick's day stuff when I signed up for that swap. After a bit of digging in my stash, the idea was born for a shakerbox, and you got the final result. Really glad you enjoyed it!
Comment: Hello Barbara :)
Thank you for a lovely variety of woodland-inspired goodness. I enjoyed everything you sent, and specially like the adorable little hedgehog with the mushroom, the washi sample card, and the absolutely darling foxes (!!!!) Have a beautiful day! ♥
Comment: Barbara, thanks so much for the feng shui PC...VERY kind of you to fulfill my profile "likes" list! Interesting subject, and can't imagine where you found the PC. Please PM me if you'd like to chat or meet when you come to Nashville in March. Hugs and hearts....jinanne
Response: Oh, I am so glad you like the PC I chose for you! I will definitely let you know when we get Nashville bound. I believe it will be the 24-25 of March, and will touch base then!
Comment: Thank you for the yellow bee-eater envelope. You are very kind to have sent me so many goodies, but I will be honest and say I didn't like them. Please don't be hurt: tastes differ. It's the thought that counts.
Response: I'm sorry you didn't like the items :-( I tried to choose some "scienc-Y" items based on what I read on your profile for you to use in more mail art. I really appreciate your honesty and your rating though!
Comment: I'm enjoying seeing the interpretations that each person spins on the letters too. I fear sometimes I am too literal with mine and not as creative as I could be. :) Thank you for the beautiful Fawn.
Response: You are so welcome! And I think literal is fine too!
Comment: Thank you so much for your lovely long letter with all your choices! I really enjoyed reading it and learning all about what you like and why. I am looking forward to exploring some of your options. I'll let you know if I find any new favorites! I also like podcasts and LOOVED Serial so I am sure I'll enjoy some of your recommendations. :) Oh, and thank you for all the great extras, too!
Response: You are so welcome! I'd love to know what podcasts you like as well...always looking to expand my list!
Comment: Oh My Barbara! What a beautiful envelope! I love all of the different tapes that you have! I love all of the goodies you included, where did you ever find chicken stationary? So darn cute!
Response: Ha ha ha! I love it too! Believe it or not it was gifted to me from a pal in a monthly happy mail swap. She sent me a wonderful chicken themed package and that stationary was in it. I'm so happy you liked the envelope and the goodies...it was much more challenging to make than I'd thought it would be, lol, to be as simple as it seemed it should be. I actually cut through the bottom of the envie trying to trim the washi, so I had to add the checked pattern around the edges to cover my boo boo. Thanks for hosting the swap...ill look forward to more soon!
Comment: Great job on your first art doll! I love birds and birdhouses, so this was right up my alley. Thank you also for the great little tin of "stuff" that I'm sure to add to my growing collection (lol) for altered art projects!
Response: Thank you so much! I know I've got a lot to learn, but I really thought she turned out pretty close to my original vision. I'm glad you like her!
Comment: OMG!!!! That is the most AWESOME envelope I have ever seen! How ever did you do that? And let's not forget all of the great ephemera that you included. The CocaCola order forms are so cool and I'm totally in love with the doggie Valentine's Day postcard!!! Thanks for making this an extra special swap!!
Response: You are so welcome! I made the environment by running it through my sizzix after carefully opening it up. I thought it was kinda fun!
Comment: I freggin gasped! I did! Just now. I got to the fence with 2 dogs' leashes in one hand and the mail in the other. I turned the mail over, your card was on front and I just gasped. Pssst...and between you and I my eyes are flooding. This is so darn darling and awesome and came out so cute! Did you seriously draw that cat? I cant believe you did this for me. Oh. I just looooooooooooooooooove it! Im speechless. So touched you did this for me. Ooodle awesome!
Response: Aw shucks girl! You make me blush. I'm so happy you liked it!
Comment: Thanks for the cute card and even cuter story. Whatever happened with that boyfriend?
Response: The last I heard he's married a policewoman and had become a chef in Memphis, TN! We actually kept in touch for many years, but after adulthood we eventually lost touch. What's funny is that as adults we actually tried dating again, but found we were always much better friends!
Comment: Thanks so much for this wonderful swap and all the extras! It deserves 10 stars! I love all the little packets! It's going to be so fun to create pages with these!!! This truly is an "inspired" swap. You made my day! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry

Comment: Wow! Quite possibly the coolest envelope I have ever received! I love that you die cut my name into the envelope. I seriously may have to lift that awesomeness! Thank you so much! I love the Alice stamps super cool happy mail! Winning!
Comment: Barbara, Thank you for hosting this fun swap! I always get excited when I receive mail from you! I loved your A envie I'm trying to make myself save the cool images intact on your envelope so so can collect all the letters in this series, but some of those fonts are too cool! Thank you very much for the Stash teas. I really am looking forward to trying the cool new to me flavors. The Alice in Wonderland card is super cool to! Your the best! Hope you are well!

I just adore it....50 hearts for you!!
Response: Awwwwww, thank you! I was so worried it wasn't going to be "up to par" since this was the first one I'd ever made. I'm so, happy that you liked it!
Comment: A thousand hearts! Thank you so much for a wonderful and fun box of presents. You picked perfectly. I love everything and am so thankful for the care and thoughtfulness you put into everything. Thank you!!!!
Response: Oh, you are so, so welcome! I'm so happy you liked it all!
Comment: Thank you so much for these beauties! I love them both but I am kind of biased towards the crazy bird atc because I'm in love with Time Holtz's crazy line! Also, thank you so much for the peacock pc!!!
Response: You're so welcome! I'm so happy that you liked what I made!
Comment: Girl, you are fast! I got it in the mail and saw it was from you and thought "no way this is the tin, what other swap do I have with Babs?" It is awesome! I love it and now I have a box small enough to send you mine... lol. I will get mine out soon. But seriously, You make such fun and creative items. LOVE IT!
Response: Sweet! Glad you liked it! I'm hoping we can do another one of these soon!
Comment: I ADORE the kitty card you sent! I agree with you - my cat would never let me put a hat on him either :) All my family cats are indoors, too. Happy JanMeowary!!!
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I believe I might need a medic if I attempted to put a hat on my 20 pound cat Stonewall....although our sweetest little cat, Molly, would totally suffer it for a moment while she plotted against me!
Comment: This is definitely the coolest postcard I've received yet. So pretty with the colors you chose and the shimmer! Thanks for sharing your "feels" 😊
Response: Awwww, thanks so much for joining the swap! When I planned it I was in a very dark place. My first vision was just a black postcard that I just literally fingerprinted with thick black paint. I decided I MIGHT ought to wait for a better day, lol! I'm so happy you liked it...it was fun to make!
Comment: This is beautiful!! It looks exactly like a playground thawing in spring! Love also the stamps on the envelope (fairy eating snow?!) and postcard itself, and the crystal snowman! Thank you for making this for me ☺
Response: Oh, you're so welcome! I'm so glad you liked it'!!!
Comment: Hay! I almost bought this card! lol Be careful not try and one up the JOnes'. lol Hay, I like the pens you used. What line is that? Cause they really show up! So pretty! And we loves our Roosters! Ditto to you on the lovely sentiments! x
Response: A www sweets...ya know I've gotta have me some Chinese themed pc's, lol! As to the pens, I'm pretty sure I used Gelly roll but can't remember if they were moonlight or classic.
Comment: I expected to get some cat cards for this swap so no worries if you sent one! I've watched a few DD&D episodes and you're right, I'd enjoy Guy Fieri's life too, especially since I love road trips. It would be really fun haha
Comment: Barbara, can't believe you sent me a lighthouse postcard from Cuba. I never got to thank you for the other lighthouse postcards you sent. You are just to good to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Shirley
Response: Oh, Shirley, I was just tickled pink to have a lighthouse PC that fit the swap! I'm so happy you liked it!
Comment: Thank you so much for this beautiful card and letter. My hubby would like the coconut balls. I should try and make them for him. My Elf name is Dainty Merry Dancer. Merry Christmas!
Response: Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful day!
