Comment: I love the picture of your dog. The purple color does make him look like something out of a scary movie. Great job on editing the photo and I'm glad he's really a nice dog!! It's getting chilly here, fall is in the air!
Comment: Yay! I got the ladies in the windows! I love this one - so ghostly. Hope you are well and dry. I must admit, that Florida in a hurricane sounds like a nightmare to me. Especially a hurricane that won't leave.
Response: I was hoping that you'd like that particular card! The downside of Florida is the hurricane season. I was lucky that only the backyard flooded and it didn't get into the house. But of course, all the bad weather happened on my days off :<
Comment: Super awesome image! I love the expression on the face of your little astronaut, plus the strange looking alien robots on the card are cool! I love how they look like they're just having a fun time dancing while our hero just can't seem to unwind. Thanks for hosting a great swap!
Response: I'm so glad that you liked my card and participated in my first hosting!
Comment: I get so excited when your postcards arrive, I forget to check the back. I love the fire and time postcard. Due to the forest fires and our present heat wave, I think I will put off making a fire for a few months, too.
Response: We've been having fires here too, sometimes the smell is overwhelming. Our "heat wave" lasts all summer long in Florida - thankfully I live within walking distance to the beach and can hop in to cool off!
Comment: Nancy, I LOVE 'Beautiful Lotus'! I am such an admirer of your work, it's fabulous! I found a neat scrapbook for postcards while on vacation in Newport, RI. I only put the most unique ones I receive in it and am looking forward to filling up a few of the pages with yours. Thank you so much!
Response: Hi Kathleen - you are such a nice person...I really appreciate your very positive comments on my work. THANK YOU!
Comment: Thanks for the lovely card you made. If the swap were for one card it would certainly get a heart. I don't want to give you a 3 for not sending more cards as the swap indicated, so I'm just skipping the heart. Card #2 is a winner! I like your art.
Response: More cards are on their way! Thanks June! Card 3 in enroute.
Comment: I just loved your card and how it expressed what your name means, very well done...Your Digital Art is very impressive ..This one will make a great addition to my Digital Art collection..Again very well done..I Thank you with a heart
Response: Thank you so much for your very nice message. I truly appreciate positive feedback on my art - your comment made my day!
Comment: Nancy, another great composition, the key to the kingdom is music and music is the key to the dance and the dancer transitions over the notes! Lovely, wonderful dream image too! Your so talented!
Response: Hi Mary: Thanks so much for your commentary on my Golden Key card. I am so appreciative of your support in my endeavors.
Comment: Wow! This is one of the BEST Peace postcards I've seen. Talk about Make Art Not War! From one longtime Peacenik to another, you do really excellent work! The Celtic Peace Symbol, poem & images from World War I, Gas masks on Man & Dog, this card is so excellent! Keep up the really fine work, in both your art and Peacemongering! Multiple hearts sent for this one.
Response: THANK YOU so much for such an enthusiastic response to my card. I spent a lot of time designing this one and the subject is dear to my heart. I hope to "see" you in another swap soon!
Comment: Wonderful work Ms. Flamingo! Our winter just might be dying down soon and everything should spring to life soon. Thank you for the postcard! Do you like ginkgo trees?
Response: Thank you for such a nice comment! It's been a very mild winter here in Florida - I believe I've only had to put real shoes on twice so far! I love ginkos - can you tell by my divider on the card?
Comment: WONDERFUL! I love it! Great Job!
I actually visited Haight Ashbury a few years ago, ate wonderful food, talked to some wonderful people camped out in front of the old Grateful Dead hangout house, and then visited some silly shops. But, alas, with the Starbucks and Gap and other places that have moved in, the historical "feel" of the area has been a bit of a downer for me.
Comment: i LOVE the picture you used for the postcard! i too, have been a fan of his for quite a while, not so much as my husband is though (he wanted to name our son hunter s. wilson) thanks a bunch-- the card will be up on our corkboard in our computer room!
Response: I guess you didn't name your son Hunter! I'm so glad that you liked my card - it was fun designing it.
Comment: Wow, great materials, great tools, great and beautiful earrings! I need to get more professional with my own stuff like you are! I know when I wear these they will get a lot of compliments. Thank you.
Response: Thank you Katy - I'm so glad that you liked the earrings. I used the black and garnet because you said that you like the combination of red and black.
Comment: Bohemian Grove is a strange place from what i hear. I head some old audio of Richard Nixon saying something to the point of rather shake hands with a queer in SF than to be at Bohemian Grove. I've seen/hear/read stuff about that place. All of which raises my eyebrows.
Response: And well it should! It was a very strange manly place way back when - as evidenced by this photo of a guy standing on a pillow!
Comment: yay! I got it today. I really like what you did. don't worry about the sizing, who can really say that an inch is exactly an inch? what if the guy who makes the rulers added an extra smidgen just to throw us all off? heehee :P jk.
Response: Hi Felicia: Thanks for your heart! I'm so glad you liked my fairy tale card.
Comment: The coolest image ever! Where did you get it? It's a person balancing two clocks on either hand.
Response: The image is a black and white studio portrait of dancer Ted Shawn from the early 1900's. I enhanced the photo, added the gold accents and clocks, then placed that on a paisley background with contrasting frame. The photo came from the NYPL digital collection. I'm glad that you enjoyed my card!
Comment: Very cool! Thanks, I love the oriental theme + blue, what could be better?? I received the postcard Fri. but immediately went out of town for the weekend & couldn't rate you. My husband & I celebrated our 1 yr anniversary this weekend! Woohoo!
Response: Thanks so much and congratulations on your one year anniversary!
Comment: Nancy, what a beautifully designed postcard you sent me. Thank you very much. I love the sectioned line pattern on the witches billowing cape and the complete shape the the cape and the flying birds make. It's really a beautiful card.
Strangely enough, it just arrived today, even though it is postmarked Oct. 17th. No odd marks or clues as to where it has been all this time. LOL! Gotta love the postal department.
Response: Thank you for the heart! I'm so glad that you liked my card. I'd like to know where the card has been also! It's not like you live halfway around the world.
Comment: I'm speachless... a heart is not enough here.. I actually want to hug you right now! :) This is the most thoughtful and beautiful package I ever got. The extras are really beautiful and the earrings... It looks like you took me to the market asked me what I liked the most and baught it for me. I just love them!! Thank you so much!!
Response: I'm so pleased that the earrings suit your style - I was trying for a design that would suit your love of the desert. Thanks for the lovely comment and for the heart.
Comment: Funny thing, we both used the same pirate for our cards!! GMTA! so for that alone, I'm giving you a star. :) I really like how you arranged your card. You'd get another star for that, but I had to give the star because we think alike. haha wonder if anyone else uses that pirate??
Response: Thanks so much for the heart...he's a great pirate as you obviously know! And you're right GMTA!
Comment: Your card was beautiful, you are one very clever lady
Response: Thank you so much for your very nice comment! BTW - my nephew is now touring around Australia (a college graduation gift from his folks). I envy him - I was in various parts of your beautiful country in 1989 and had a wonderful time.
Comment: Fun card, Nancy. Among many peculurities of ol' Frank, just the naming of his children wins him a weirdo title, Dweezle and Moonunit, hehe. Your card brought back some good old memories...I had mostly forgot about FZ and the MoI. Thank you, cool!
Response: Frank was a trip all right. I saw him in concert! (many many years ago) I listen to "Freak Out" every once in awhile and it puts me back to my much younger mindset.
Comment: Nancy, I absolutely LOVE this postcard and your special stamps, as well! If you have more of these treasures and would like to do a personal trade, please let me know! Love those doe-eyed waifs! :) Cheers, k
Response: Thanks so much! I thought those wide eyed kids were really kitschy - Joan
Collins was a big fan of the art! I make my own stamps and have fun doing so - Jack The Dog likes being on my cards!
Comment: What a fabulous package! Thanks so much, for THREE pairs of earrings and a lovely embellished hair elastic! Lotsa hearts!
Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad that you liked my gifts. No one I know has hair long enough to wear my hair ornaments and I was hoping that you did (since you said in your profile that you liked scrunchies).
Comment: Wow, thanks for the bonus card. Love them both! My mom had an early 60's red bug when I was growing up, so the floater brought back memories (not that we ever drove it into water, though). Now I drive a silver Beetle but it's a hard top, winters are way too cold here for the rag top!! :D
Comment: Cool! Nicely done! Thanks for the second postcard. I was born in San Francisco and love the city. Bellingham is about 2 hrs north of Seattle, but of course, Seattle doesn't compare. This morning on the way to work, I saw fog, heard the seagulls and smelled low tide. It was just like being home again. Your postcard means much. Thanks. Thanks for the third postcard. How did I get so special?
