Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard of the asian style flower painting and for the description of your current book. Apocalyptic reads pretty much always make me think about prepping too, or at least knowing emergency first aid.
Comment: Hi Heather! Loved the NC design! Thanks for the share about your weekend - sounds like it was fun up until you got the migraine - yikes! Did you wind up having the chocolate ice cream? LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks for the nice mini-flip album--I like the arrangement of items and the little items in the pockets that I will put to good use, either creating a memory book for one special day with one or both of my special kiddos of leaving it just as a pretty book to look through. Maybe an item of interest with the display of other flip books for a bit until I can locate and print smaller versions of some photos I know I could find---mixed in with 3 or 4 moving boxes sitting on a high shelf in out closet! Sorting through all of them will take many days! Thanks and I hope you'll show up in another swap with me in the coming months.
Comment: Thanks for your letter. It was fun reading it and that stationery, so cuuute! I wish you much luck on your business idea. :) I hope we "bump" into each other again on here to follow that progress.
Comment: Hi heather! Thanks for the cute Gudetama letter! Thanks for sharing that personal stuff with me. I’ve known a few pests like that. Yes get on Netflix and you’ll have a blast with the variety.❤️
Comment: Thanks for a nice set of tags, Heather. I like that you did so much layering. Hope SPRING is actually arriving where you are. My brothers in S Dakota and upper tip of Wisconsin and my son in southern Wisconsin are getting snow!
Response: I’m sending you your “favorite color” mini flip book soon, which has been really fun to work on!
Comment: Hi Heather! Thank you for the share and the pretty postalette! Isn't it amazing how much we write and maybe do not realize it? I am glad you received some postalettes from your wishlist so you could join the swaps! I sometimes get lucky and find them at thrifts stores or yard sales, I do the happy dance when that happens! LOL! Hugs an dHappy Swapping ;)
Comment: Thank you for the most interesting note. I hope by now you have A Wrinkle in Time. I have it on reserve at my library and want to see the movie but most likely won't till it comes out on Netflix.
Response: I am still waiting! But patiently. I took out 5 other books but returned 2 unfinished. I guess my standards are higher these days :D Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I love the card you used, put a smile on my face.
It sounds like you had a great weekend full of visiting with family and friends.
I love to receive the TGIF Weekend Notecard Swaps. As you read them you can envision what’s happening and it puts a smile on your face. Thank you so much for sharing your weekend with me it sounded great!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I like sharing, and it's kind of an alternative way of journaling for me, nice to remember what I have done!
Comment: Oooh! Yay! I knew you'd spoil me! I love the colors for the zickzack scarf! And the sock yarn is precious! The button will be perfect for a shawl/wrap I'm knitting too! So, I am thoroughly pleased! What a fun swap - your chatty note about your projects was the icing on the cake! ♥
Response: Yay, I'm glad you liked your package :D I may or may not have also gotten some of that sock yarn in another colorway :0 Keep me posted if you knit it up.
Comment: First of all, I loved the note you included with the swap. Not many people take the time to write something like that. And we do have a lot in common! Second, thank you for the great notecards...I just love that cactus especially! And thank you for the extra "Love, Laugh, Swim" panel...I can use that in one of my magpie journals for sure. So, thanks for everything, hope to swap with you again soon!
Response: You are more than welcome - thanks for the lovely comment and heart! I look forward to swapping again with you, too :D
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful scenery from the seasons! I can't even pick a very favorite! I also didn't have the Colorado one yet! And the Japanese ones are super cool! (Double cool on those as I just got back from Japan-sorry for this late rating) The moose is so cute! Thanks also for the note papers & state playing card! Thanks for joining!
Response: I am glad you liked everything! This was a fun idea. I hope you do it again :D Thanks for the heart!
Comment: (((Heather!!)) You sweet, wonderful YOU! I saw the wicked cool envie, not knowing the perfection awaiting me inside! Your envelopes are stunning! I absolutely LOVE them all, and really dig the unique one that has folds on 2 sides - I've never seen one like that, and intend to add that to what I learn. Thank you so much for joining in the fun sweety. GREAT swap!
Response: Wow thanks for all the kind words! I definitely have a handmade envie addiction. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Hi Heather! Thank you for the note and the tea. I know what you mean about trying not to buy yarn. I made it a goal for 2018 to not buy any more yarn. Yet, I've bought yarn three times so far this year. Naughty! That being said, I'm still going to try not to buy any more yarn. Cheers!
Response: Haha, yes I am going to try not to buy yarn each day as a mantra (or, in a more expanded way, implement "spend as little money as possible" since it now extends to papercrafting supplies). I have purchased yarn this year primarily to complete projects or replace yarn that didn't work on a project I want to do. Thanks for the heart, and knit on!
Comment: Love the beautiful watercolour cats card you sent me! Thank you! haha... know about over-committing with the swaps. Hope you get all caught up!
Response: I love those cat cards too! I visited the shop of the artist in Maui and my aunt secretly bought the cards for me while I wasn't looking. Great way to buy gifts - just stalk someone while they shop! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the great card - I didn't realise Eric Carle had done other drawings!
Response: I didn't either! I got these from a fellow swapper and didn't make the connection till I was flipping through again. A friend had a 1st bday party for her daughter with an Eric Carle theme in past months so my eye is now more honed!
Comment: As soon as I opened the envelope I was hit with tea and love it. I have never tried red chai and can't wait to tonight. We have had a chill in Air today and I like hot tea when it's chilly. On another note thanks for the postcards. It'll be hard not to send em. Lol. But I will tomorrow. On yours any preferences other than just vintage want me to choose randomly ??? Thanks heather.
Response: Great I'm glad they both arrived! I guess I prefer non-touristy if you have any, and black and white if that's possible!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful page! It was great to get to know you through your writing, and I can't help but wonder what you do that lets you be able to travel all the time. That sounds like a dream to me!
Response: I work in global health evaluation.
The travel is a privilege, but also sometimes takes a lot out of me.
I have lived overseas though, and I now prefer being home and having the occasional trip. Thanks for the heart! :D
Comment: Hello! Thanks so much for joining the swap! It was nice to "meet" you. :) My goodness, you are well traveled aren't you! I'm a bit jealous - I've wanted to travel and live overseas, but it hasn't worked out yet. Guess I'm still "on tour" in the US! haha
Hope you decide to give this another try. :) Happy swapping!
Comment: Sounds like you had a lovely weekend, thanknyoubfor sharing. I loved hearing about where you went and what you ate. We eat out everyweekend so it was lovely to read about your food. I also loved the paper you wrote on. Its been a long time since I have seen something in that style.
Comment: Thanks for the journal, Heather. I can really feel your enthusiasm about knitting! Here's a movie I went to this year that I'd like to recommend. The protagonist is a fellow lover of knitting.
Response: Ooh I missed this link before - this sounds like a fun film! I will have to see where I can find it. Is it online?
Comment: Thank you for the stunningly lovely journal! I will send it on its way soon. Don't forget to add a journal prompt...it makes it easier for the next person to continue the journal. Your life sounds so interesting that I hope you write a book someday. I wish all the best for you in your new transition. Good luck!
Response: I had a feeling I was forgetting something. I looked up prompts and then forgot to write one down... I am happy to email you one for the next round.
Comment: I loved how you spent your weekend, way more productive then mine 😀. I also loved that two of you a knitting hats for another knitter. My family has been it hard by breast cancer, my sister was the first one in our family history to develop breast cancer - she was 38. My mom was next and she 60. Then myself at 42. My mom and sister have passed away 😥, but I'm still here and being watched very closely by my doctor and I feel confident that if another cell try's to invade me he'll be on top of it so fast that it won't have a chance of going anywhere!
Thank you for being the caring person you are, every little thing matters when you are going through hard times whether it's homeless or cancer, people like you make a difference 😀â¤ï¸
Response: Holy moly. That is very tough. I am glad that you are chugging along. I am not always productive but I am always knitting. We gave our friend probably 12 hats or more as a group. I hope they have caught it soon enough - she is on her 3rd round of tx I think and doing OK all things considered.
And thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the awesome envies. I need a good template for the upright envies, they are my favorites........=)
Response: I don't use a template. I just fold in to the middle, then fold a small strip for the bottom and a fatter one for the top. I cut out the corner rectangles, then go back and shape by rounding all the corners. Try it!
Comment: the envelope alone deserves a heart, and the contents put this package over the top! thanks for all the fun fall goodies. i especially love the adorable leaf paper clip. thanks for creating such thoughtful and happy mail!
Response: Thank you for the heart! (After I got this message I went and grabbed some more leaf clips before they disappear :D)
Comment: Just got the Cog Railway card in the mail today :) Oh WOW! that would be something to get up there to see! I showed my husband the card and he was telling me he tried to drive his Festiva up it years ago and his little car couldn't handle the altitude. Heck yeah I would go back and take the Cog up there ! :) Thanks for the greaat card! :)
Comment: Thank you for your nice note and tea bag and leaf tag. You Thanksgiving dishes sound delish. I love picking fruit in the fall to bake with. We are lucky to have pear, plum, peach and apple trees in our mini orchard. We also grow kiwis!
Comment: Thanks for a personal and open letter, that's rare. Good luck with your work and may you realize your dream of moving to New England. You facility with languages is enviable and also your travel, although the travails are not something I envy.
Comment: Thank you thank you thank you!! I absolutely love every single thing you sent in this package of goodies! Its obvious how much consideration you put into this package. I wish I could give you more than one heart!
Comment: Thank you for sharing. I hope you will enjoy your next book better. And, I don't think she is right about poor people/rich people. Some people spent money, some save for all different reasons. Me, I was born in Soviet Union, but my family was not poor. And yet we always spend money, because we believe life is too short to not do/have what we want.
Comment: Hi Heather! We're swapbot partners again! Thanks so much for the pretty hand made pc. I think one or two of the pictures came off in the post :( but I liked the story at the back about your mom!
Response: Oh dear I am sorry about that. Lessons learned. Glad you received it.
Comment: Great postcard - I love the colourful prints, particularly the blue and yellow! I'm a knitter too - do you ever write up your patterns and publish them on ravelry? (I did this a few years ago with three simple patterns, and it's a good way to passively earn small amounts of money :P Plus you get to see people wearing your designs, which is super cool!)
Response: I have so many ideas that haven't come to fruition, and a couple that have (same user id on Ravelry). One that was offered for free is really popular, but not sure if folks actually made it! What is your user id? Thanks for the heart!
Comment: I love it all, Heather, beginning with the fun, pretty envelope that you addressed to me. I was excited to see we are neighbors! Love the collage images and the washi, and my favorite part is the gorgeous calendar envelopes you sent.
Comment: Thank you so much for your lovely card (and washi tape). I loved reading about you doing yoga and all the knitting! I'm not sure what kinds of buttons you are looking for but katrinkles.com has adorable wooden ones.
Response: Ooh - good tip! I will check out the site! Thanks for the <3
Comment: Oh. My. Goodness, Heather. What a wonderful package you sent! I love, love, love Everything--envelopes And extras, too! (And my heart just danced when I saw the return address sticker I'd made for you. I was, like, "Oh! Oh! She used it!" Maybe that's a little silly, but it really did make me happy. :o) ) Thanks so much for a great swap!
Response: I'm glad! Thanks for the heart, and yes I am going through the labels like crazy. I'm glad one came back to you!
Comment: Thank you for these three lettersets--the lilypad/frog one is fun! Thanks for including the extra washi samples, too! I can tell you read my profile closely to pick samples I would like. Thank you!!
Response: Glad you like them! Thanks for the â¤ï¸
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful orange cloth! I'm new to this, so sorry (ha) but what is the tape on the cards? It is awesome! Thanks again! Beautiful work!
Response: I was new to this too about a month ago - it is washi tape, which you can use to decorate anything paper. It is the consistency of masking tape, but with different colors and patterns. Try googling it for some ideas!
Comment: Such a fun, fascinating interesting beautiful ATC!! I just started sewing again after probably 35 years!! So the sewing theme was really attractive to me. Thank you so much for your attention to details!!
Response: Thanks, I'm new to ATCs so I appreciate the positive feedback! Thanks for the heart :)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful post card. Florida weather changes from minute to minute. Just yesterday it rained on one side of my yard but was sunny and steamy on the other side and my yard isnt that big...lol. I have always wanted to visit NC. Autumn in the mountains must be beautifulâ¤
Response: Asheville is definitely the place to go for cool mountain weather!
Comment: Thank you sooo much for all the goodies. The envelope you used to send it all is so beautiful, I didn't want to tear it to open it. And the butterfly card is just as beautiful! And I think that magnetic bookmarker is just the coolest! Thank you sooo, sooo much for all of it! I wish I could give you more hearts!!! <3 <3 <3
Response: Haha thank you! I sometimes wish I had more hearts to give too!
Comment: Interesting recipe!! I usually don't make beans from scratch, but I've always wanted to! In fact, I have some dry beans sitting in the pantry waiting for something amazing like this!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
