I have resent this swap on April 30th as it has obviously been lost in the mail.
Thank you for the comment and the heart

Comment: Thanks for the letter and gift tag. You forgot the include the picture of your garden fancy, but I think I know what you mean. I used to love the "Garden Junk" part of the GardenWeb site. A vertical garden would be great.
Response: I knew there was something I was forgetting to do that week - get some copies of my photos done at Walmart. I really need to learn how to post pics on my profile. If you google Garden Fancies you will tons of them.
Comment: Thank you for the all the nice photos of you, along with your nice letter. Yes, you are very busy, but if you love what you do, then it's a good thing! I hope spring will arrive soon; we are enjoying a glorious Easter weekend here with full sun and warm temps.
Response: Thanks for the nice comment and the heart. We had a warm Easter weekend and woke up Tuesday morning to more snow and colder temperatures for the next week.
Comment: Donna, love the green sewing themed tag. Of course as a quilter, why wouldn't I? The mini tag is also a sweet thing. Thanks for much for both the tags and the pretty green flowered tissue paper that I'll use in other tags and ATCs.
Response: Just knew you would love the Sewing Tag - cut the pieces from a piece of fabric. Thanks for the lovely comment and the heart
Comment: This is one of the most beautiful swaps I ever received. I love the Japanese paper and the silk tissue and all other butterflies. Ten hearts for you, thank you very much. I think you deserve a star too as a coördinator.
Response: Thank you so much for the awesome comment, the heart and a star too. This really was a FUN swap to host. I kept finding more Butterfly things to send and it was hard to make a choice. Your profile said you like Japanese stuff, so I was glad to find some with butterflies in my stash. I received some great items that were totally different from what I have. Thanks for joining my swap. The next swap is FLOWERS and MORE FLOWERS - check it out. I will be doing a different one each month.
Comment: Love the pouch. It will be perfect for my meds when I travel! Thanks for the time and effort. I know how aggravating zippers can be!
Response: So pleased that you like the pouch. I received the Butterfly fabric in a tag in January - just in time to make something. I was fortunate to have taken a sewing course in 2005 that taught how to sew all the different zippers - it was a great help. Thanks for joining my swap and for the heart
Comment: Yippy!! You were so right! I absolutely needed and love the needle case! You totally rock!
And Happy Birthday to you too!!
Response: So pleased that you love it - was my first attempt at sewing one - saw the pattern on Pinterest, but I don't knit - I have a similar one for my crochet hooks. Thanks for the great comment and the heart

Response: You are welcome. Thanks for the lovely comment and the heart. We had snow one weekend in November, gone by Monday. It does nothing but rain now, at least I don't have to shovel that. Temps are below freezing at night - forecast is more rain, so we might have a green Christmas.
Have yourself a Merry Christmas
Comment: Thank you for the teas Donna. Your tree sounds pretty, and the dips you are planning sound yummy! Enjoy the holidays!

Comment: Thank you for the package and all the information.
Response: Now you know that a small city in Ontario has an International war hero. Thanks for being so patient in waiting for this swap. I am not so sure that I like all this new electronic technology. I now have a wireless keyboard, mouse and internet connection. Can't even imagine what someone born in the 1800's would think of all the new fangled inventions. I would love a wireless maid to do the housework, who is paid by wireless debit. Thanks for the rating and the heart
Comment: WOW WOW and WOW such beautiful stiching my grandmother would give you an approving pat on the back my grand daughter who is three wants it made into a cushion for her whicker chair so will plan to do that thank you so much Love it Linda
Response: Thank you for the lovely comment and the heart. I am so pleased that you liked it. That was a pattern from a children's colouring book, so a pillow for your granddaughter's chair is perfect.
Comment: Dear Donna, thank you very much for your lovely package!! I like everything. But #1 for me is 1 dollar coin because of duck. It's so cute. And soooo beautiful landscape postcards~
And I'm really sorry, but couldn't rate earlier.
Response: Thanks for the lovely comment and the heart. The bird on the dollar coin is a Loon - they can dive under water and re-surface somewhere else. I remember canoeing up north one summer in Algonquin Park and chasing a Loon around the lake. They also make a haunting sound when calling to other Loons. Thanks for swapping with me - will do this again some time.

Comment: Hi Donna! I got your WTC! :D I like the colors very much, and the chair...oh well, now I really wanna make a chair like that with herbs :D lovely! I am looking forward for more WTC in the future!
Response: When I found that picture in an old magazine, I knew I wanted a herb chair in my little court yard - I just have to find an old chair. I have made 2 more WTC's for swaps - it has become interesting to find just the right picture for them. I keep searching the thrift and used book stores for a book on herbs that I can cutout the pictures. Thanks for the lovely comment and the heart
Comment: Thanks for the gift and card -- I don't do a tree but my daugter does and if I can wait a few hours to open the gift I can tell her to put it under her tree ... hmm... it's a matter of will power. I'll try. Thanks again.
Response: I am so glad that it got there. I am also trying not to open my gifts till Christmas morning - so I have some presents that I didn't buy for myself. Thanks for the rating and Merry Christmas!!!
Comment: Thanks you for the wonderful package! I love it all, already, but I am going to behave and wait until Christmas to actually open it all. I will be enjoying the tea later today! Merry Christmas!
Response: I too am saving my gifts to open on Christmas morning - thanks for the lovely comment and the heart
Comment: Woo hoo!!! Thanks for sending the aprons. They will remain wrapped until Christmas Day. I'll be back to leave a more appropriate comment after Dave and I open your gifts. <3
Update 1/9/12: We absolutely LOVE our aprons and are already using them. What a beautiful, and personal, swap this was. Thank you SO much!
Response: So happy that they got there so quickly - they were fun to make for you. Thanks for the rating and the heart
Comment: Donna, You are so generous with your cut size and the number of pieces! Thank you, and so organized to know what you had previously sent me. I hope I don't duplicate, but I'm not that organized! Thanks so much, I love them all (especially the purple scissors print!).
Response: I don't have time to perfectly cut the squares - so I just guesstimate the size and that is what you get - so happy you liked the scissors print - thanks for the nice comment and the heart
Comment: Kitt liked the swan postcard! Thanks to Ethan!
Response: Woodstock has a pair of swans at a local park that have babies each year and Ethan loves to visit the pond and watch the male swan chase the Canada Geese - it is very funny to watch! Thanks for the heart
Response: I am so thankful that your fabric has finally arrived - mailed on June 30th - that is over 3 months! I wonder where all it has traveled to reach you. I was getting ready to resend - trying to decide which red fabric you might like. Thank you for being so patient. Let me know what you make with it - thanks for the rating and the heart
Comment: beautiful patchwork square. Donna told me of her battle with cancer, I appreciate the letter. My mom and both my sisters had cancer, and now my youngest daughter has skin cancer, so we are very aware of what a disease it is.and do our best to donate all we can towards finding the cure. I make chemo hats for those who have lost their hair and donate them through local churches and now have a beautician who lets me know when she finds someone who needs them. I love to sew, and get donations from others who sew and have large scraps of soft fabrics, So the circle continues.and God Blesses.
Response: Thank you for the wonderful comment. I have very thick hair and did not lose it all during chemo treatments - it got thin, so my friend Violet, who is a hair stylist, cut and shaped it each month at no cost. My hair is salt & pepper - bangs are white - last week had my bangs hi-lighted in HOT PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness - have gotten lots of great comments on my hair. Thanks so much for the rating and the heart and God bless you and your family.
Comment: Amazing. I loved your letter and all the little extras! Thank you so much! What does RAK mean?
Response: So happy that you like everything. I knew I needed to do something extra for you just because I care about others who are fighting cancer. RAK is Random Act of Kindness - something you can do without getting anything back but a huge thank you. You will find them in the Forums under One-on-One Trades. Please keep in touch, Donna
Comment: Thank you so much for the pouch! It was sewn so beautifully. The fabric was gorgeous and the pin was a nice touch. I have decided to put it on the pouch so I can always remember where it came from
Response: You are most welcome - let me know what you make with the cherries fabric. Thanks for the nice comment and the heart
Comment: I ADORE these patterns!
They are totally amazing, just my style, and I have a few friends who are going to be absolutely jealous when they see them! Thank you so much, I cannot wait to start my new embroidery project now! Happy swapping!
Response: Sometimes two people just think along the same line - knew you would love those patterns. Let me know when you are ready for some more. I embroidered a large 20" X 24" picture of Indian Maidens on beige linen - framed and hanging in my living room. Working on a king size quilt top all in purple for my bed. Thanks for the wonderful comments and the heart.
Comment: This is a very eclectic selection! Thanks so much! I am going to take it all to work because once a month e get together in the staff room over lunch and make cards for co-workers birthdays, this is all going to be awesome!!! And with these supplies, there are some very quirky cards just laying in wait I can tell already! Thanks!
Response: I am so glad that you like everything - I am an eclectic type of person - not stuck on any one style - my home is a mixture of antiques, thrift store finds, sidewalk shopping and handmade. I have already made a card for my Aunt from the supplies you sent. This swap was definitely FUN!!! Thanks for the super comment and the heart.
Comment: Thank you Donna Lee for the beautiful mini flannel pink nine patch quilt. Thats a mouth full. I love it! Thank you for the pin and the nice letter too. My husband is a 6 year cancer survivor as well :)
Response: I am so glad it went to someone who understands all about cancer. I have a lap size one to curl under when I read. Thank you for great comment and heart!
Comment: Great fabrics! I totally fell in love with the faux batik one. And the teas are lovely - thanks so much! So nice to swap with a fellow Canuck. :D
Response: So glad you liked all the fabric - I have tons of scraps, so it was hard to decide what to send. Let me know what you will be making with them. I am making patchwork makeup bags and coin purses with mine. Thanks for the great comment and the heart
Comment: Hi Donna, Is there a way to award you 5 golden stars as well as a heart? I just loved Rumpoleteaser! He is so beautiful and a really great addition to our new home (we move into next week!). I enjoyed seeing him arrive after 3 months on a postal ship. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Dixie xxoo
Response: I AM SO GLAD he finally found his new home!!! Wonder where all he has traveled? Don't you wish you could be a little bug and travel with some swaps - would be a great trip. I enjoyed making him for you from old clothing. Thanks for waiting so long, the great comment and heart!
Comment: You definitely deserve a heart. The selection of fabrics was lovely. I haven't quite decided what to make yet. I only joined halfway through, so not enough to make a quilt, but enough for a lot of smaller projects. I love the pin. I hope we get to swap again some time.
Response: Thank you so much - you are my #100 heart. Glad you liked the fabric squares.. There is a possibility that we may continue this swap - especially for those who did not start at #1. Would you be interested? Will Pm you later as to details.
Comment: Woo Hoo! My tote arrived today! It was post dated May 10 or 12 so I think it is the original you sent, it just took the long way around:) Thank you so much - it is gorgeous! And I so love the extras. Thanks for a great swap, it was definitely worth the wait. BTW do you have an online shop/blog where I can look at your home business products?
Response: So relieved that you finally got your tote - that's the longest any swap has taken. I just got a digital camera - still trying to figure it out - will setup a blog and post some pics soon. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: Whew... I finally figured out which swap this was from, I kept looking for A Small Country City which you wrote at the bottom, but finally found your name under 2011 PC swap#7 -July. Thank you so much for the Woodstock, Ontario postcard about dairy farms, very nice postcard!
Response: So very sorry - I forgot to write which swap it was - I deserve 100 lashes with a wet noodle - thanks for the rating and heart
Comment: Wonderful fabrics (as always). I just love these fabric swaps. Thank you.
Response: I received 5 fabric swaps today - like going to the fabric store and did not have to go out in the heat and humidity we are having right now - temperature over 100 F today with the humidity - that's HOT for Canada. Thanks for the heart
Comment: It came today and I Laugh out Loud literally when I unfurled it! What a cool upcycled bag. The dog on it is bigger than my cat :-) Thank you also for the goodies. I've never had a swapbotter send me a pretty little wrapped box with love inside. I almost unwrapped but reading the poem stopped me:-) I shall cherish this sweet little gift best of all. I can't tell you how much it was needed at this time in my life. I thank you heartily.
Response: I am so glad that you liked the bag - we have a large boxer and she eats a lot. I must have known you needed some special love sent your way. Take care and thank you for the heart
Comment: Once again you sent some great fabric, loved that mod 70's, that took me back a few years. The 'I love sewing' ribbon is going to get used on a pin cushion. I need pin cushions, lots of them, more pins on the floor than in fabric. Hope to see you in another swap soon. Thanks Blessings and Shalom
Response: So glad you liked all the squares - got the ribbon at a Fabricland Store that was closing - I have some around a pin cushion made from a salmon can. Thanks again for the heart
Comment: Received that over loaded package of yours, each piece of that fabric will be put to good use, loved the piece with 'I Love Canada'. I'm laying out 1 quilt this week-end (I hope). Your letter was the real topper, you need another heart for that. Thanks for all the goodies, the pink cancer clip, was a real jewel. You sure know how to fill up a package. Shalom
Response: You are very welcome - saved a little postage by sending together. Got a pkg of pink ribbon paper clips in Dollarama swap - decided to share some. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Your package arrived today along with the color blue and color orange swaps; it was like going to the fabric shop with out leaving home. Thank you for the wonderful fabric, the ribbon, buttons and the pin. You are so thoughtful. I will have fun using the items you sent. It it were possible I would give you extra hearts for the lovely package.
Response: So glad you liked everything. I received 5 Simple Squares swaps one day last week - #6 & #7 - mail is coming in bunches since the mail strike ended. Thanks for the heart.
Comment: ♥ Thank You -pretty...I like the recessed zipper and the fun zipper pull as well as the lace and fabric....thanks again for a wonderful swap and a great note with news :)
Response: You are welcome - the design just kinda popped into my head. I cannot understand written patterns - I am a visual learner - need pictures - so I usually design my own stuff - the recessed zipper was not planned - just worked out that way - glad you like it. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Thanks for the fabrics! I'm so glad things are going well for you. (:
Response: Glad you got them OK. Postal strike is now a Lockout - no mail in or out. I have notified my partners - have 6 ready to go today. I do not wish to drop from these swaps as I want to make a quilt from all the squares. If this is a problem for anyone please let me know. I have squares cut and ready to choose for each partner. Thanks for the heart
Response: You are welcome. Just an extra note to you - as a teenager (about 1967) I used to listen to a radio station from Fort Wayne late at night on my very old brown plug-in radio - all the way here in Woodstock, Ontario Canada
Comment: Donna, thank you for the cute AND practical pincushion. It's going straight to my sewing table! Thank you, also, for the extra goodies & the lengthy note. I wish our Goodwill stores carried fabric..!
Response: I have 4 of them - one at each sewing machine and one on the cutting table - very handy. Was at Goodwill today - got 4 yards of unbleached cotton for $3.00. I use this for crazy quilting. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Wow! Really liked the history of your items, it's neat that you're passing them on. :)
Response: Glad you liked my little story. I did tell my daughter that she gets all my sewing and craft stuff when I am gone and she said she would need a tractor-trailer to move it all. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Thanks for the great package! The spices smell wonderful. Good luck with the Relay for Life! I participated in my local relay this past Friday. It was an inspirational night,
Response: You are welcome. I got these Gripper things that took a while to figure out how to use from my partner. This is my first time for the relay and I am excited about it. Did the Survivors Walk last year, but had other commitments for the weekend, so could not stay overnight. My friend, Cindy (CINDYAC) on SB went with me. Strange thing - she had my name for the All Crafters Craft Swap and hand delivered it to save the postage.
Comment: Hi Donna, just receive your letter today. Love to go on google map to see where swappers live, your town seems to be very peacefull and very alive at the same time, it seems a great place to live. Thanks for the pin (don't know if it's the right word???)
XOXO from over the seas
Response: So glad you got the letter. Woodstock is a small city with a country attitude.
Comment: What a fun package! it went on for ever! My 3 year old and my 3 year old niece had so much fun pulling everything out one by one! Thanks again!
Response: Glad you liked it all - I have a basement craft/sewing room FULL of stuff - had lots more in parcel but shipping was $20 - no way I was spending that much. If there is anything you would like more of, just let me know and can send a smaller envie of stuff - have lots that my grandchildren use for crafts - they have their own 3 drawer dresser full of craft supplies/paper/wood shapes and recycled materials.
So glad you got parcel before strike - I was worried some swaps might be stuck in transit - so far so good.
Looking forward to more Canadian Swaps
Comment: Thank you for the delicious sounding tea - I've recently discovered I like jasmine green tea. The pear one looks really good, and vanilla chai will be good too. I enjoyed your letter, and the tea saying. I will think of you when I make the tea.
Comment: Hi Donna, I received your package today. I love the cactus you embroidered! I'll have to think about just what I'm going to do with it. I also very much enjoyed your letter...we have many similar interests. The postcard of SPRINGBANK SNOW COUNTESS is just too much! What a fun package to open, thank you so very much.
Response: I am so glad you liked everything, wasn't sure about the embroidery - I use them as pockets on tote bags that I make. The "COW" sits on the corner of Dundas St (our main street) and Springbank Ave. It was once part of the farm where she was born and produced all that butterfat/milk. She used to get painted purple at Halloween, but the police keep an eye on her now.
Thanks for the heart
Comment: I love ♥ my coin purse from Canada!!! Thank you for all the wonderful goodies inside and for the great and interesting letter with news from where you live!!!!! I hope we swap again soon !!!
Response: You are most welcome - I always send a letter or note with each swap, makes it more personal
Comment: Wow! What a wonderful package of items I got in this mornings mail! So many unique and fun things to use. I love making mug rugs and imagine the fabric will be put to use for that. I'll try to remember to share when I do so. Thank you for it all!
Response: Glad you liked everything. I didn't know what a mug rug was - so looked it up and just made one from scraps - turned out great.
Comment: Thank You for sending the second package, was very kind of you. I'm in love with these fabrics, anything with purple grabs at my heart. Don't think I could make it thru life with out green. The card was very special, always enjoy learning about the areas my partners live in, your letter was also a real bonus, so informative and personal. Well worth waiting for. You made this a very special swap. Thank You
Response: My bedroom is purple and sage green - love this combination - have made curtains, pillows and pillow shams - working on a quilt. So glad you like the fabrics.
Comment: Loved the fabric, butterflies, they are a part of my heart! But the letter, that was what caught me. I'm from a time, we wrote letters, to stay in touch (none of this e-mail, texting, or long distance phone calls). You wrote a beautiful letter, and so informative too. Thank You
Response: I enjoy writing letters, little notes to friends and stories. I am the secretary/treasurer of our local Women of the Moose, so i even like to take notes and write the minutes. I have written a couple of children's stories and I am working on a romance story with a ghost from the US Civil War.
Comment: Wow you truly spoiled me! How gorgeous to receive a handmade tote with your beautiful embroidery! I will treasure this for a lifetime and use it always! I loved your letter too, please add me as a friend..nice to know someone next door to me in Canada :) I would give a billion hearts if I could, this was such a wonderful package!! Thank you!!!
Response: I am so glad you like the tote bag. I have about 30 different ones made and I couldn't decide which one to send. Donna
