Comment: I’m (TRYING TO BE) saving this for Christmas. I don’t know if I can!! But... I can for now :-) Thank you for such a special package :-)
update: The heart pins are lovely, no wonder you made yourself one, too! I wore one Christmas day and love them!!! So many goodies... the heart charm on ribbons, the xoxo pencil, and the scarf with the cardiac design with hearts... so appropriate because the day I opened it I had just returned from a six day stay in the hospital for my heart! I was feeling so lucky to be home by Christmas and the ekg (of which I had several) really seemed like a good sign to me! And the fact that you'd mailed it so long before... you may not even remember it but it meant a lot to me! Thank you for a lovely thoughtful gift!
Comment: Hi Leah - Thanks so much for the beautiful Pink Christmas Tree ATC. When I was a little girl I always had a fantasy about having one when I grew up. I still haven't done one as an adult but I can still dream, lol, Your's came out really beautiful. Thank you for joining the swap. Take Care -Vanne
Comment: The card you made is so awesome! I need to step up my card making game immediately. You went above and beyond and i really appreciate that. I love the police logs you sent. The carjacking one is absolutely hilarious. I also got your postcard. It’s so funky! I love it. Thank you so much.
Comment: Yaaaaaaassssss! I am digging everything about this bizarre little swap! First of all, I freaking LOVE both sets of earrings. I have a thing for hands AND teeth. I keep all of the teeth my kids lost in an antique bottle marked wee chompers. Soooooo cool. I also love the button from Office Space. MORE FLAIR! The little silver person charm just might be my new favorite thing. It is so tiny and wonderful. Thank you so much for an awesome swap! <3<3<3<3<3
Comment: Leah, your ATCoin came today and I nearly snorted coffee out of my nose when I saw it!!!! Thanks for the extra goodies you included and thanks especially for giving me a good laugh!!!
I LOVED IT!!!
Comment: You got rid of a lot! That is a difficult decision to let things go that belonged to your mother. Both my parents passed away (2012 and 2015), and letting go of things that belonged to them is challenging. Congratulations on a job well done!
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing with me. This has been very motivating and I am anxious to do more. We are doing a big change over at work that won't be finished until the 18th, and I haven't had the time available but I plan to do still more.
Comment: This was such an AWESOME swap! I started smiling when I saw the washi and stickers on the envelope. The smile stayed there until I was done going through the swap! I really love the zine. Such cute illustrations and funny curses (that I hope never happen haha). The likes dislikes one really cracked me up.😂 Thank you also for the sweet note and the extras! Really appreciate it! Please have SO MANY HEARTS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Comment: OMGosh---I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this swap! The tattooed arm charms are AMAZING. I can't imagine how you managed to tattoo those tiny arms!! Thank you for sharing your art with me.
Comment: First of all, thank you for hosting this swap! I was going to stay away from new swaps, but I just couldn't resist joining this one. To me it is by far the most interesting swap I've seen here. Guess I'll wait a little longer to let my remaining swaps settle :) I had fun reading your answers and looking at all those cool goodies you've sent! Have a nice day :)
Comment: Well, this was another awesome bit o' mail from you, so I feel like one lucky bitch, thanks kindly. The first thing I saw when I opened the envelope (which is fab) was the "salty ass bitch" sticker and I laughed so loud and hard I scared Husband. 🤣 I love all the bits - the pattern papers, the images, the stickers - and they're definitely going in my Cut+Paste book because I'm not getting rid of them. Thank yoooouu! 💖
Comment: Collab received! A couple of corners of Lumpy Space Princess (that's who she is, right? If not, she is now) were popped up, but the card is otherwise A-OK! Love your additions - especially all the NEON lines. 🌈
Comment: Omg I love this envelope! You are super creative! Thank you for the pc, washi(LOVED), and this adorable mini envelope! The stickers as well. You put a lot into this send, I dig every bit of it. My Fave.
Comment: Thank you so much for your wonderful pen pal journal. I loved learning more about you and your family. I'm sorry for the late rating. I just realized I haven't written you back and I decided to check and see if I even rated you. I'm so sorry. I will be writing back soon.
Comment: Leah, this was an epic fuckin' swap! I knew it when I saw the envelope, which you collaged awesomely. I love everything you sent. All the washis and stickers, the thrift store finds, your art - I have to get a frame for your philosophy so it can go on my wall. Thank you, thank you! Also, I'd like to go to Santa Fe as well. I'm sure the other places are swell (and I've been to Disney a dozen times) but yeah, New Mexico just sounds like a magical artist utopia. OK. Thank you for giving me something to gush about. You've made my week and it's just Monday. 💖
Response: I am soooooo glad you like it! It was so much fun making/finding stuff for you that I totally want to do it again soon. Also, thanks for your blog post on glueing! I was intending to ask what you use and how you get it to stay so perfect, and then I saw your post. Boomyeah- I’m off to get a glue stick and go HAM on some card stock :D
Comment: Hi Leah! Your username is one of my absolute favorites ;+) There's so much to love about what you sent. I am fascinated by the purple envelope with the white garland--is that part of the paper? It's gorgeous. Amazingly, I don't have ANY of the washi you sent and the whales are the bomb. Love all the stickers, too. Thanks for choosing nice things for me ;+)
Response: Oh I’m so glad you like it! I’m honestly not sure about the purple paper. Buuuut I do have more of the whale washi and the others in the set and I looove privaaaaaaate swaaaaaaps....!! :D
Comment: Thank you for your Paris-themed ATC and lovely note. I missed getting to the flea markets when I was in Paris and hope to someday go JUST for the flea markets! I loved your use of washi on your ATC. I plan to try it using the non-sparkle washi you sent as an extra (thank you!). The sparkle washi is always and only for my journals. Sparkle = keep for me :-)
Response: I’m glad you liked it! Btw, the “sparkle = keep for me” totally made me laugh. I have my private stash too!
Comment: I love love love both the matchbox and the chunky house! !you did a beautiful job on them! Thanks for all the extras as well. I like the round postcards! Very unique! Thanks for the trade!
Response: Oh I’m so glad you liked everything! You know, I ended up using the matchbox liner template that you sent me for the starfish lining. That was sooo handy - thanks again! Let’s do it again soon :)
Comment: Thank you so much for these awesome charms and for the 2 additional crappy medals. I love them all. It’s so nice to recieve fun Shrinky dinks art. I make and gift little shrinky dink items regularly but never find anyone who also enjoys making them. And you are so good at it! Thank you!!!
Response: Aww thank you! I’m on a big shrink plastic kick right now, I love making these little charms!
Comment: Leah, this envelope is awesome! Love your constellation font and all the details popping out against the blue. Thank you for all the cool goodies, too! I was stoked to see some of that hand washi tape included...and those moon and star napkins (?) are gorgeous. 😍💖⭐
Response: I’m so glad you liked it! I’ve been digging on those napkins and the hand washi too, especially the hand with the little #$*! On it (but why tho? It makes no sense!)
Comment: Great job on the coral, they look great! I live all the colours. When I studied art at college, one thing they drilled into us was mark making. Literally, just getting the sketchbook and experimenting with the medium without an end goal (drawing). It really helps to know what your tools are capable of before committing to a drawing 😊
Response: Yes that is such a good idea! I was thinking that my next step is to experiment with the pens and try to get more control of the colors and shapes. Thank you!
Comment: Thanks much for the sewing themed card. Did you write the poem? It is beautiiful. Thanks for the washi tape and quilt card. I appreciate that you read my profile. I am so so sorry for this late rate.
Response: No worries at all and I’m so glad you like it! I’ve been experimenting with kind of adding poetry or stream of consciousness writing - I was a little worried about taking up too much space on the back so I’m relieved that you liked it! :D
Comment: O M G – I don`t know where to start... I received your mail yesterday. The first thing I saw was Ridcully on the envie. He made me laugh. He even had this special, crazy impression on his face. Then I saw Greebo and The Luggage and I had to laugh so hard, our cat was hiding under the couch! I have to keep this envelope! This is awesome! And at first I honestly thought, you own a Discworld-stamp-set!!! The ATCs are so, SO cool! I did a lot with polymer clay for years but I sold my complete stash last year because I had no time for it. NOW I have to buy polymer clay again! THANK YOU... :D I love the technique and the pattern on this ATCs. What did you use as color? Next time, try to scratch the ATC-dates on the back, too. I think that would look impressive. The “polka on the dot” card is cute! I took all the themes way too literally, I suspect. You were really creative with this one. But the best of all is the HEDGHOGE-SONG-CARD! This is unbelievable.... amazing! This card looks like something I want to hang on the wall – and I definitely *will* do this! Just need to find the right frame for it. The hand lettering is beautiful (wish I could that, too). Seriously... I will try to make this into some kind of file, print it or cut it or glue it and will make this in a giant version. Somehow. And you get a copy. :D I wanted to make a Discworld-ATC, too and the only idea I had was “something with the hedghoge-song” but that was it – no idea how to make it. I am now a little bit jealous of your creativity but at least this fantastic card is MINE! *muahahaha* :D The extras are fun, too. Thank you so much! Did you notice that the Undine-Starbucks-symbol on the bunny-cup-washi is an ittybitty rabbit?!?!? That knocked my socks off! Thank you SO MUCH for swapping with me!!!
Response: Oh I’m so glad you like everything! So many things to talk about...I wish I had a Discworld stamp set! Instead I have a very talented and silly artist uncle who used to make silly stamps (VIP stamps). I was so happy when I remembered the wizard one lol! The hedgehog was another happy accident stamp. I wish I could make a bigger one for a poster or something! If you do make a copy I’d love to get one! And you are so right about scratching the back of the polymer ATC - I didn’t even THINK about that! Let me know if you get back into polymer, I’d love to do more polymer swaps... P.S. I didn’t.even.know. that the Starbucks symbol was a bunny haha. Too cute!
Comment: Leah, thank you so much for the wonderful packet of stamped images! I love them all, but especially the hot air balloons, the space ones, the birds, and the cat. The frog is so cute too! And I like that you put them on different papers - I had not thought of stamping on colored paper, but they were great and I'm looking forward to using them in projects. The tissue paper ones will be fun to use as well! Thank you so much for a great swap!!
Response: I’m so glad you like them! I went trolling through your profile to look for matches to my stamp collection lol
Comment: Wow, wow wow! You certainly didn't stick to ONE storebought & one handmade :D Thanks for ALL those goodies! Each sticker, washi, card, band-aid & patterned paper is appreciated,& will be used :) Thanks for ACTUALLY writing :) I LOVE the feminist plaque, & the matching mail art, & I really like your style & colour combination. No, not neon, LOL!
Response: Haha you didn’t stick to one handmade + one store bought either! It’s fun to give little extra surprises :) I’m so glad you like it!
Comment: I love the beautiful ATC you made! So many neat layers! Love the beautiful stamp on it and the pretty pearls! Thank you for all the wonderful extras and great swap!
P.S. Sorry for the late rating, I cleaned off my craft table yesterday and for it under a pile of paper.
Comment: Thanks for all the V-day goodies! I needed some flags, so that came just in time! What a coincidence that your daughter is hapa! I use that term too with people that know what it means. Well, great to meet you in the mail and hope you end up having a sweet V-day!
Comment: Oh, Leah! What a beautiful tag! It's just gorgeous, reminding me of freshly fallen snow. And thank you for reading my profile; the extra goodies you sent weren't necessary, but absolutely and delightfully appreciated!
Comment: I absolutely love the tarot ATC that you made. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve pulled this card at a certain period of my life and even till this day. I highly identify with this card and some days strive to be more like the personality it represents. Thank you so much I hope we have more taro ATC swaps so that maybe I can collect the entire 78
Response: Wow, that really interesting - especially as this is not normally a card that comes up for me! It was a bit of a stretch for me to pick it....I guess this one was meant to be for you! I hope we can do more of these!
Comment: Yes, some have the bad habit of running late, I sometimes wish I was 10 min late cause I allways show up 15-20 min to early. My x was allways last min, it drowe me crazy and maked me stressed out. The atc was realy nice, love the colors
Response: Yes for some reason I’ve been really bad with this lately - maybe I need a punctuality New Years resolution! I’m glad you liked it.
Comment: Leah, thank you for the very unique birthday card and all the extras. Hope you had/have a wonderful birthday. I can't imagine it. I am going to be 75 on January 29th. It seems I was just in my 50's. As, the old saying goes, time flies by when you are having fun. Fun or not, it flew by. Shirley
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful Christmas book and all the wonderful goodies inside! We had choc. chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookies this year, too, but I've never had poppy seed cookies. How do you make those? They sound delicious!! Happy New Year!
Response: Ohh let me find the recipe and I’ll PM you! Happy new year!
Comment: OMG what a pretty envelope!! Loved the Christmas sweaters you drew on the envie and loved the contents of it! The stickers and washis are adorable! I also loved the tea, the card, postcard and the paper bits, they're really cute and useful! Thanks for joining my swap and sending such a nice and thoughtful swap, loved it! Have a fun Christmas!
Response: I’m so glad you like it - and thank you for hosting the swap! I love the idea, and it was fun to draw the sweaters. Happy holidays!
Comment: What a pretty card! I put it up on my mantle where I can enjoy it. That's a great stamp you used!
Thanks for the goodies, too!
Have a fun holiday season!
ps - I was thrilled when I saw that to post office had issued "Snowy Day" stamps. That was my son's favorite book when he was little. I don't know how many 100s of times I read it to him! Lol
Comment: Thank you so much for the adorable atc and extras! It is sad that a lot of my Halloween mails got lost, so I'm extremely happy to receive yours. It is really thoughtful of you to resend<3
Response: De nada! I know it’s such a bummer when your mail is stolen. You know, if you list the missing swaps on your profile and post an angel request in the help section of the forum, some swappers might angel the other swaps!
Comment: You are super stellar! LOVE the profile halloween goodies. I am going to make a charm out of the ghosty boy and hang him in my car. Sweet Doll ATC! Love the skull in her abdomen-gnarly! just the way i like em'. take care!
Response: I’m so glad you like her! I really like the car charm idea, send a pic if you have a chance! :j
Comment: What a cute Christmas mini! I love it! Cute little deer and neat way to make the button embellishment ! This is a wonderful swap - thank you so much! And thank you for the vintage LRRH page! So nice of you to share your childhood book!
Response: I’m so glad you liked it! It was fun to make. I liked how it turned out so much that I’m making one for myself now! Lol
Comment: I love your interpretation of the Moon Goddess - thank you! I'd love to do another paper doll swap with you in the Woodland theme...just have to wait for my life to calm down a bit and get moved again.
Response: Excellent! I'm ready whenever; good luck with your move!
Comment: Hey everything is so cute!! Except lucy lost her limbs in transit :( What can I use to glue them back on?? I love her!
Response: Oh no! And I had marked the package fragile even... :(
Either superglue or E6000 should work to reattach her limbs. Or I can make you a new robot, that's totally fine!! I'm just so sorry she didn't make it ok....
Comment: OMG~ This is just awesome. I laughed pretty hard reading your list of what YOU think are emergencies. Man, I hope when the Zombies do come, I'm not depending on you to save me. LOL Cat food and sourdough bread mix along with vegetables to throw missed my top 10 list of important things to take.
This Zombie Barbie that you altered is AMAZING!
You totally rocked this swap!
Response: Lol it's true - I wanted to make it like the dotted path cartoons from Family Circus, know what I mean? :)
I really had fun w/ Malibu Zombie, I'm glad you like her! Did u find the tramp stamp and the 'Ken' tattoo on her butt? I have a feeling there will be more zombie Barbies in my future!!
