Comment: Soul City is of course my favorite song. And that album cover is too funny. Eww condom. For the tiny dick it must have slipped off of. Nice to have some new music styles to listen to out of my usual choices, and good for dancing on dirt. Now I can just picture you singing and dancing around your house!
Comment: Bahahahaha! You sexy thang!! Thanks for making me guffaw, yuk, snicker, lol, lmao, pee my pants, fart out loud, cough up a lung, split my spleen, soil my pants, and if I could think of another one, then I will come back and edit. Who are you kidding anyway Turday, you can't fool me. I know you have piles of quilts on your bed with all of these sappy quotes sewn on with gorgeous fabrics. xo
Comment: Thank you so much i love the colours, it will look amazing amongst the roses. Oh Marina, I had to add to the comment from May. THank you so much! You spoiled me and I really appreciate it! Thank you xxxxx
Comment: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my new prayer flags. They just keep getting more awesome and I am so spoiled by you. I laughed my ass off at the Truthiness one and so did Kevin. You are so cool. The radiant sun is such a good prayer and I hope you made yourself one too, although mine will be fluttering on the breeze down to you as well in your fab umbrella house. That sounds really neat and will be lovely place to be outdoors in summer. The renewel flag is awesome for spring, it looks like the trees out my window all getting their new leaves. In fact it looks just like my Styrax "Japanese Snowbell" tree which looks like it will only get leaves on the tips at first but then fills in later. The quilting is fantastic. Oh, Kevin saw the return address on your way cool Gelli envie and busted a gut. I ♥ U
Comment: I have been so speechless about this wonderful, wonderful, WONDERFUL box of goodness you sent me it took me three days to rate. Marina, these flags are so stunning. I secretly jump for joy when I assign partners and I get you as my receive from person. I secretly love that swapbot's random number generator isn't always so random. I am so lucky to get one of your Gelli AND one of your "fused strands of crappy goodness flags". I can't believe how utterly cool this looks in person. Both techniques, fusing and Gelli, wow. I'm sorry I'm rambling I just don't think there are good enough words to match with your talent and to tell you how much I love them. Seriously, you need to open an etsy shop. I will definitely hang them together for love and happiness, and I would really love to hang them in my purple bedroom, along with the Bodhi tree wall hanging in there. I promise to make my own wind so the prayers will still be infused into the Universe. Ok so that Gelli painting on fabric is all kinds of awesome, AND I get the stencil too. I can't wait to try that technique. Next, the daffodils. Where to I begin to say how lovely these dainty 'dils are. These are going to be hanging on the wall panel next to my desk. Cheery and bright. The ultra cool bee suncatcher! Luvvit. Amy will be so jealous. The uuber cool moon cutout from Steve (thanks Steve!), wow I'd like to see a photo of the panel he made if this bit of cool leftover is just a part of it. Oh my I hope I have not forgotten anything. You have sent me a huge box of love and happiness and the aura of it is glowing all around me. xoxoxoxo
Response: It was sent with love and good energy. I had fun making the flags, and the ribbon daffodils are like therapy, only better. Glad you like it all.
Comment: I lurves it Turday!!!! Brightened my day by leaps and bounds and they are PERFECT. It goes straight to my wall of fame :D Love you lots!
Response: Oh piss off. I don't care. LOL! I had fun working out some frustrations with this swap, as you can probably tell. You guys can all feel extra sorry for Steve, saint that he is to put up with me!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful envelopes you chose to send me. I love the designs you chose and the lining really finishes them! I LOVE that extra Gelli envelope, it's beautiful. I will look into how that translates into Dutch
Response: Thanks for the nice comment. I like the Gelli envelopes, too! Glad you like them all. :-)
Comment: Fabulous envies, thank you very much. The gelli print is outstanding and I love the texture. You definitely put a lot of time and effort into this swap and I am glad I was one of your receiving partners. EXCELLENT - Thanks again.
Response: Glad you like them. I had wanted to make my own Washi tape, so it was the perfect opportunity to try. The Gelli prints do make nice envelopes, don't they? Most definitely going to do some more of those. Thanks for rating!
Comment: Oh Turdy -everything you make is so beautiful and this ATC is no exception. I just sat and touched the beautiful card and lovely buttons for awhile! It came after a rough day at the hospital with my mom so it was really the perfect thing to cheer me up. Thank you so much!
Response: Thanks, Deeney. I really like the woven Guatamalan fabric. It made a nice background for the metal. I hope you are cheering up a bit. I know! You should put a couple of those tattoos on Stuffy for some good clean fun. Oh, I hope I sent a unicorn or something good!
Comment: Oh my my my LOVE this atc with the flowers of buttons….love the buttons you used and the embroidery….. Just love this ATC thank you so much and also for the PC of Oregon…..love that coastline! Happy Swapping!!!
Response: You are very welcome, and I hope we swap again sometime!
Comment: Marina, I have so much to say that I don't even know where to start. First I wish I could give you 10 stars for this. It's one of the prettiest pieces I've ever seen and far and away the nicest piece I've ever received. And, I also love thistles. :)
In your note you said that you don't know when to stop, but I'm going to tell you that I think this piece is perfect. If you'd added more I think it might have detracted something, but I truly think every bead you placed added something, and you chose perfect beads. I don't know what I am going to do with your square, but I'm seriously thinking of having it framed.
I don't know what you do for a living, but the world will be well served if it is fiber art work.
Thank you so much!
Response: I'm really hoping you can find a way to use it somehow. Glad you like what I did, even if it wasn't what you were expecting. Thanks!
Comment: This ATC is stunning, amazing, gorgeous and unique! I feel so privileged to have had you join my swap and am delighted that you were my partner. Thank you so much for the art, from the outer envie to the tiny one for the ATC and the card itself. I hope we trade again. :-)
Response: Glad you like it. Fun to do all of the steps yourself. Haha... no one else to blame! Thistles are kinda like flowers... right? We will definitely swap again!
Comment: Wow! Your napkin choices are amazing. Such beautiful, luxurious colors. Thank you very much. I can't wait to use these gems!
Response: I'm sorry the transfer method didn't work for me... and ultimately for you, lol. I included the "leftovers" so that you could make some that aren't on such thick cardstock if you wish. Glad you like the choices. Your profile was a great help in that regard! Thanks!
Comment: Oh, Marina! What a great ATC..! It was worth the confusion I put myself through. What fun to know that that charm has been waiting around, kickin' it at your place so many years! Many Many Thanks!
Response: Fun swap! I figure with all of the broken jewelry I have hoarded, I can make these for the next hundred years, lol. Thanks for the nice rating. :-)
Comment: OMFG that is an awesome flag! I love the, ahem, authentic accessories, heh. It's a perfect embodiment of the sentiment. (Get it? See what I did there? EmBODYment?) And the bracelet is so excellent that I immediately put it on and wore it to Jamie's college reunion, where I was the envy of all the ladies. Thank you!
Response: Thanks, Amy. Blue balls 4-ever! Glad you like your bracelet!
Comment: I am positively squealing with delight at my new ballsack flag. You are so clever to put an actual ballsack on it! Blue Balls! Bwahahah. I love it and don't think it will be going outside, but will be hanging in my bedroom. They say the first thoughts you think as you are waking up set the tone for the entire day, and I want to see this first thing every morning :o)
Response: Blue balls at night, Suey's delight! Glad you laughed. :-)
Comment: I love the stamp you carved! It is very cute! Thanks so much!
Response: Makes me do a double-tale whenever I eat Raisin Bran, lol. I made a similar one that I kept. I like shading it slightly with browns and giving him a nice black eyeball! Thank you for the rating!
Comment: What FUN the ATC's you sent are! I've always adored swapping with you and you never disappoint! My favorite if I HAD to choose was the one with the dried flowers. Many thanks :)
Response: I like the flower mohawk, too! Someone said that it looked like she had one of those flower spikey things for doing flower arrangements on her head. Lol... a before and after! Thanks, Andrea. It's always nice swapping with you, too. xoxo
Comment: Wow - you may not think you can make cards, but you did a lovely job with that butterfly! Thank you for the effort even after finding out it was not an ATC! :)
Response: Yeah, I'm going to be in trouble one of these times and send the totally wrong thing. It was actually kind of fun making it. I just thought about all of the things I like in a nice card and tried to replicate them. Thanks so much for the rating!
Comment: Hey HoneyBadger! Thank you very much for the great ATC. You used ALL security envelope paper. So clever. So pretty. Yes, let's do more of these swaps. Thanks for signing up! XOXO Thanks too for the postage stamps. Those Luxembourg ones are crazy! Love the puppy one too. :-)
Response: You are so welcome! There is something that I just realized that I forgot to send, so you will be getting an envelope in the mail very soon! Next time we need to do a bigger collage!
Comment: Well, your artwork arrived today and I was just thrilled to open it! I was left with my mouth hanging down to the ground in awe of the package. For having just started with colored pencils, you sure are talented. I love your artwork! The poppy you made is so beautiful!!! I dont think you need much practice in blending, youve got it down lol! I really liked that you used a page about Shakespeare, seems fitting :). I couldnt wait and have already put the old seed covers in my garden journal haha I was very surprised to see that you also sent me some lichen (or it might be moss I havent been able to open it yet because for some reason my cat is crazy interested in trying to take it away from me! Maybe its the earthy goodness she smell from Oregon :D) -Oh, but thank you ever so much for this. I almost want to shed a tear because of how thoughtful it was of you to send this to me. I really want to visit and eventually live in Oregon or Washington so receiving a little bit of the area means a lot to me. I wish I would give you more hearts!
Response: I'm really glad you enjoyed my swap, and I hope you like the weird little piece of bark. I go out after storms and pick up the nicest pieces. I really liked that one - the size of it and the variety of mosses and growies on it paints a great picture. I know, I'm weird. I'm okay with it, so no problems, lol. I also bought a blender pencil so I can get better results with my prismacolors. :-) Thank you for the nice rating and the great comment.
Comment: Well I just came home from vacation to a pile of swap-bot mail. Always fun. But then I opened your envie -- and about fell on the floor! You sent me an amazingly cool piece of artwork! I love jellyfish. And blue/greens. And sandy texture. And hand painting. I am in the middle of renovating my bathroom (part of why I went on vacation LOL) and I am decorating it will original artworks of the ocean/beach variety. I am so happy to add your painting to my collection. Fabulous swap! <3<3<3<3<3 many many times!
Response: How great that you will display it! That really makes me happy. :-)
Comment: I just love the prayer flag you sent! Purity and Enlightenment are awesome qualities, and the flag itself is so pretty. I love all the ribbons hanging from it and the lovely lotus. Thank you so much! My house and I will be surrounded in so many wonderful prayers. :-)
Comment: Wow, this is amazing. What an inspiring multi-media extravaganza -- the different elements are so well blended that they seem made for each other. Thanks so much for the inspiration! I love the lotus image and the watery colors in the fabric and ribbon.
Response: I'm pleased that you like it! I like making these flags... I hope we do more. :-)
Comment: This flag is absolutely gorgeous. I love every detail. The hand stitching is incredible as is the beautiful lotus artwork and sparkly ribbons. How clever to use oil crayons! I do hope I achieve enlightenment and purity of thought. I just know it must be possible! Now lets get windy! Speaking of which, evidently we have deer breaking wind out in the woods right next to my prayer flags where the critter cam is. That ought to speed up these prayers blowing in the breeze!
Response: Yay for the farting deer!
Yay for the Blue Lotus! Thanks, Suey :-)
Comment: Wow!! I love the hand carved stamp image (although it reminds me that my flower gardens are full of 6' thistles right at the moment LOL) I appreciate the three different looks you achieved (thanks for the extra card). The water colored ones are lovely but I am over-the-moon crazy about the smokey grey purple stitched one. Absolute perfection! Definitely going in my favorites album. Thank you so much! <3<3<3<3<3
Response: Glad you like it. I agree that the watercolored ones fall a bit flat compared to the fabric one. I like to sew. :-)
Comment: I'm cracking up over these birds. I see what you mean about reading the swap. But, they're adorable and they made me laugh. Did you crochet them? If you did, I'm uber impressed! Thanks for sharing your last ballerina with me. :-) BIRD is the WORD!
Response: Yes, they are crocheted... I stole feathers from a cat toy for the tails, and my cats were scheming to get the Word Birds the whole time I was trying to finish them. Not good odds, but I did manage to preserve them long enough to get them mailed. Pathetic little Word Birds... I think you gave me a pity heart, but I'll take it anyway, lol.
Comment: What a fun mish mosh card I love it :) Thank you very much.
Response: It gets kind of scary when you see what you can make with stuff that is essentially trash, lol. Makes me look at everything as potential art supplies. "Uh oh... she's going through the trash again."
Comment: I love having you for a swap partner! I always know you'll be sending something fabulous. This swap was no exception! I noticed the accordion sticker right away. Too funny. Your drawing is AWESOME, and I thoroughly enjoyed the note you wrote to go with it. Thanks for the cool paper tucked inside, as well. Lovely job!!!
Response: I thoroughly enjoyed this swap! Thank you for hosting. :-)
Comment: Wow! Thank you so much, Marina, for this wonderful fabric ATC. You really made 30 of these? Do you ever sleep?
Seriously, I am so impressed with the elements of this card, and the artistic presentation.
Response: My BF just handed me the mail, and it's from you! Must. Write. First. lol. I'm glad you like all the crazy things I did on it. I like to challenge myself to do projects like this once in a while. :-) Oooh! I just peeked at yours! Wow... we have got to do a swap sometime!!
Comment: Beautiful card... Seeing the phrase "procion dyes" took me back to my fabric painting days... I am reframing some now... You certainly used a lot of steps but it paid off in a lovely card... Love the stamp you made... Thank you so much
Response: You are very welcome! I love dying fabrics. You never really know what it's going to turn out like, which I find fun. Thanks for the nice comment and rating!
Comment: I would give this ATC a 5 Star & 5 Heart rating if I could. The creativity of it was beyond words. I am glad that I read everything that you did to it before I looked at it or I would have missed things on it. It has been placed in my top 5 collection and will be a keeper for always! I just cannot believe that you made 20 of these! BLESS YOUR HEART!!! It was absolutely gorgeous! I also cannot believe that you made that stamp of thistles. I have got to learn how to do that. I also enjoyed the decorated envie. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your talents in this swap with me. I am blessed!
Response: I am very honored to be in your Top 5! It was actually a good bit of fun making them. Lol, I'm STILL making some... for RAKs this time, so I can relax a bit. You should try some stamp carving. Something else to become addicted to, lol. Thanks for the nice rating! :-)
Comment: Thank you for the neat atc I Love it!! What a fun swap, love the catch and seeing all the different techniques. I have never tried making a fabic ATC, but after seeing yours and am ready to try something new!!
Response: Yes, seeing what everyone did was fun. :-) I'm glad you like what I did, and I thank you for the nice rating!
Comment: Wow! This ATC is a true work of art! I love everything about it. I am thrilled to have this card in my collection. Thanks!
Response: What a nice thing to say! I have a problem thinking of myself as an artist, but it makes me feel good to know that someone considers what I make to be art. When you say that, it makes me really glad I went to the trouble of making cards so complicated. Uh oh... complicated... lol. Tell Chris we miss him. xoxo
Comment: I love this ATC.The colors are beautiful and the stitching you did is amazing! I also enjoyed the story of how you made it. Thank you for a wonderful swap!!!
Response: I'm very glad you like it! I really do like sewing on stuff. Compulsive, lol. Once, on the way to a concert in SF, my friend Greg fell asleep next to me in the back of the van, with his legs crossed at the ankles. I was doing some embroidery, but "somehow" Greg ended up with his pant legs sewn together from crotch to cuffs. He didn't think my stitching was very amazing, but I didn't care. Once you fall asleep in a van full of your trouble-making friends, all bets are off!
Comment: I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful swap package. The ATC is beautiful, I love celestial, and it just perfect! The cards are great, I can so imagine sitting on the front porch of the farmhouse watching the quilts flutter in the breeze (I'm so happy there that even SBS doesn't bother me;) Thank you for sharing some of your prize winnings with me, love the fabric, and congratulations on your first place at APNQ! Truly, a wonderful and thoughtful swap, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Response: Thank you for the nice rating. :-) I was so shocked when I saw SBS hanging there on that clothesline, contaminating those other lovely quilts! LOL! We really do need to do a "I hate Sunbonnet Sue" block. I have been entertaining all of the ways she could meet her long overdue demise!
Comment: Thank you Marina for the great background page. I will use one of the sides for a journal page. Thanks for keeping with my shabby chic love! Thanks for the beautiful card (your friend is a great artist) I love the seed packet too. Thanks for sharing the pc,and the view you have. I'm jealous! Thanks again!
Response: Glad you like it. I thought it best to let you choose which side to use. I had fun making a mess with paint. :-) It is like therapy for me, lol.
Comment: I love all the flowers and they look great on my wreath, your purple ones look great against my pale pink ones. don't think it will be long before I put a couple on a brooch pin to wear on my jacket!
I will soon have make enough swaps to join the 'Lucy ' group, can't wait. looking forward to swapping with you again and for some good Lucy- type swaps
Response: Glad the flowers weren't too clunky. Yours were so much more delicate. Yeah, I love some of the color combinations, too. Thank you for the nice swap!
Comment: I LOVE the HoneyBadger!!! I also LOVE the keychain! I like the simplicity of it. Mine was all over the place and really heavy, lol. My favorite is the skeleton bead because I've yet to get any of them! Thanks also for the charms!
Response: Glad you like the keychain. :-)
I was lucky enough to be in WA last week and we went to Shipwreck Beads. Bought lots of charms, but at the rate I'm using them I will need to go back soon, lol.
Comment: Wow! I LOVE IT! That is a beautiful hanger and nothing like what I expected. :) My hubby was telling me how I could hang it up in my daughters' room, and I'm wondering why...it's her colors, he says. But I want it in MY room, I said! LOL! It's beautiful! Thank you so much! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Response: They are cute decorations, for sure! I want to make several more for around the house to brighten it up a bit. Thank you for hosting this swap! :-)
Comment: I love your journal page! The subdued colors and texture really evoke the feel of trains. I also have a love of trains, thanks to my dad, a fellow train lover. Thanks so much for an awesome swap! :-)
Response: I felt such relief when something finally clicked. Glad you like trains!! Thank you for the generous rating.
Comment: I absolutely love the Mermaid. You did an exceptional job,and I really do appreciate the amount of time you dedicated to her.I have her displayed in my bedroom.I am honored to of gotten such a great partner.Thank You:)
Response: I am really glad that she has a good home. :-) Glad you like her!
Comment: Wow! Cute dishcloths and a lovely extra fat quarter! Thanks! I just got it today, though you sent it about 2 weeks ago! Mail must be slowing down considerably. I really love what you sent! A million hearts to you!
Response: Glad you like them. :-) It was fun doing some new stitches.
Comment: I love love love it! Thank you so much. I'm sorry I hadn't gone to pick it up at my p.o. box until today but it was a wonderful surprise Thank you again
Response: My boyfriend fell in love with him... it was hard for him to see me send it off, lol. I think I may have promised to make another for him so I could package it up!
yeah, we'll see about that. ;-)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful, gorgeous fairy.I love the detail you put into it,Im so lucky to have you as you my partner. You create beautiful art work, and thank you so much for the time you took to create it.Frida is hanging in my bedroom and I will enjoy her all year long.
Response: Glad you like her! That is my favorite picture of her.
Comment: wow your tangling is truly exquisite! it's so perfect it almost looks like a stamp!! Not that I think it's a stamp lol - it's just so so well done.. and I love the shading with dots.. really nice!!Really a wonderful card and i thank you so much for sharing it with me!!!!

Comment: I love my card!! He is spectacular! Your carving skills are super-impressive! Thanks very much!
Response: You are nice to say so. I love carving stamps! Thanks for the nice rating, and please keep your eye out for the Bride of Frankenstein, cause he gets lonely all by himself. Sad monster. Maybe some of your pink pancakes will cheer him up!
Comment: Oh, this headband is just beautiful! Thank you for making it in my fave colors and the paper flowers are gorgeous!! I wonder if my co-workers would think I'm nuts if I wore it everyday and not just for Halloween?? It truly inspired me to unleash my inner Frida, and I can't wait to wear it!!
Response: Haha! I wear the one you made for me around the house all the time!
Comment: Are you kidding me??? This is the bestest, cutest apron ever!!!!! You are one talented lady and wish I had just an ounce of your sewing skill! One heart doesn't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE it! Thank you...thank you...thank you!!!! (Seriously...you could sell these!!!)
Response: Glad you llke it! Hope you use it a lot and it inspires you to make some delicious Mexican food... mmm... my favorite!
Comment: LOVE IT!!!! Your work is amazing and so intricate...all those tiny beeds and each one individually hand sewn! This is one of my favorites:) Thank you for sharing your artwork with me!!! I appreciate the loteria cards too! Hugs
Comment: I got my AWESOME raven atc today!!! It is a great card and I love the texture!!! I am also THRILLED with the crocheted RAVEN!!! I am not able to crochet, so to get such a cool extra has really made my day! I have no doubt that your crocheted birds will go fast at the Christmas bazarre!! Thank you for such a wonderful swap!!!
Response: Glad you like the Ravens. :-) I had fun making them for you. They are my favorite birds, although they get a bad rap. I have a swarm of them that perch in an old tree in my back yard. Watching them is very entertaining. Happy Halloween!
Comment: Holy Batmobile! WOW! What a wonderful mobile! It just arrived today and is already hanging between my dining and living rooms. Hubby hung it as soon as I opened it. It has been a LONG time since I saw a "real" mobile--all balanced and everything! Love the moon, the stars, and of course, those fuzzy-body bats! Beautiful design--beautiful bats!
Response: So glad you like it and have somewhere cool to hang it!
Comment: Gorgeous, beautiful, amazing! Thank you so much - I am inspired all over again. You obviously took great care in making these Zentangle projects and you couldn't have sent it to a more appreciative swapper. This was definitely a most wonderful mail day.
Response: Yay for good mail days! Glad you like the Zens. I had fun making them for you and adding to my pattern library. :-)
Comment: A thousand hearts. I love the Dottie doll. It is the first one I ever had. This swap so made my day. I hung him up by my calender so I can see him all the time. My cat just loved the cat nip. He was honestly lying around like he was stoned.
Response: Glad you like the Tuxedo Cat Dotee :-) Yes, the "marinated mice" are a big hit at my house, too. News flash for you, though... your cat WAS stoned!! LOL
Comment: Thanks for the stunning ATCs! Once again, I am so happy to add your beautiful work to my collection! The bird especially is so adorable, and so precisely done. And, of course, I can never pass up a blue ATC :) The way you finished them with ribbon also gives them such a professional touch; I'm going to have to try it. And the extra fabric was just the cherry on top of the sprinkles on the icing of the cake. Thanks a million!!
Response: I knew you would like the little Quail. Hope to see some ATCs from some of that fabric!
Comment: Sorry it took me so long to rate - for some reason, I thought I'd done this already! Doh! Anyhow, thank you for as usual, making a stunning piece of art. When I opened the envelope, I heard some shaking sounds and I thought "oooh, did Marina make a shaker box?" Yay! I have wanted one of these for a while. And it's green! I love your intricate design, too - looks like it took forever. Thanks so much, Marina. You are really one of the most talented people I know.
Response: I knew you wanted one, and is there a choice other than green? Lol!
Comment: The ATC's are gorgeous! Swapability? Pfft, these are treasures!! I am so happy to add them to my collection. I didn't incorporate my guidelines into your cards, hope that's ok. Thank you too for the great postcards for my collection. I look forward to another trade whenever you're up to it! Best wishes to you!
Response: Thanks for the swap, and glad you like the cards! :-)
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful fall leaves. I love the textures. :)
Response: The day after I sent them, I found some really beautiful leaf fabric in my stash that looked more hand stamped than the actual hand stamped ones I did for you. Oh well, I always have to make a big mess or I don't think I've achieved anything, lol.
Comment: Marina, thank you so much for the wonderful rick rack! My favorite is the "Radiant" rick-rack (pink and silver) and the narrow metallic blue and gold rick rack. The scraps are wonderful too, I don't have any gray, so now I do. The bag is cute too! Love it so much, thanks!
Response: Rick rack is important stuff, so I'm glad I could help you out!
Comment: I had to attack her with a knife before she would come out. I think any poor customs officer that tried to open her this time would be so discouraged he'd gave up way before seeing her. :-) I think you did an awesome job, both on taping the package shut as well as on the doll herself. she is so beyond beautiful, I'm really lost for words. this is the single most pretty thing I've ever received in a swap, EVER. I love her to bits already, and I just invited her in like 5 minutes ago. She's here to stay! she's so well mannered, and sooo sophisticated. I gave her some champagne. She's quite happy here. thank you!!!!!
Response: Best thing ever?? I bet you say that to all of your partners, you flirt!
Comment: OH My I do LOVE it! I have a thing with Kudzo! Well done my friend!
Response: Oh, I'm glad you like it. I was having a hard time trying to paint those leaves. Kudzu vines are so beautiful, but I do realize that they are like the ivy here in the PNW that chokes the life out of all the trees. Did you know that it was brought here for the Japanese Gardens at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair? The government planted tons of it as ground cover in the area affected by the dustbowl to help the topsoil from erosion... and then it pretty much just took over!
Comment: OMG! This card is BEAUTIFUL!! I am totally in awe of your talent! I really am speechless this card is so lovely. I can't believe you stitched all those beads on it. And your machine stitching the picture is just divine. You should make and sell these. Seriously. It's just so gorgeous. Wow. I've put this card on my altar so I can see it every day. It really is lovely. I wish I could give you a thousand hearts. blessings, Gypsy
Response: So glad you like it. Proud to have it on your altar!
Comment: Yay! I love my Ernie piece. He's going on my desk. Thanks, Marina!
Response: I really wanted those doors to have a lot more texture :-( Will be trying more possible techniques and making a total mess with all the sticky, glue-y, messy shit real soon, and I won't stop until I come up with a reproducible method. I NEED MORE COW BELL!
Comment: Wow! Thanks for the adorable dishcloth...hmmmm, this pattern looks familiar..;-) I like the blue. You are a sweetheart for sending the gorgeous embroidered dish towel. I love everything about it! Did you do the embroidery?
Response: Yes, you should recognize it, although I do think mine came out a little wonky.
As much as I do love embroidering, I cannot take credit for the work on the dish towel. It is way cute, though, I agree!
Comment: Your labs were great. I'm very jealous of your blog. My favorite is the green-yellow one - very vibrant. I've never heard of Radiant Rain - I'll have to check that out! You got nice texture, too!
Response: I knew you would like the green one :-) I'm having fun with these Lab exercises. Making me get my hands all sticky and icky...
Comment: Thanks so much for a lovely swap! I loved the way you described everything you did (you sound like me doing all those images over and over until they were right, LOL!) I loved the images (chunky fog and all) though I have to say my fave was that lovely other-wordly tree - but then I've always been a sucker for a good tree! Anyway, thanks so much! Es xx
Response: Es, we will have to do some kind of swap with a tree involved.. lol. Thanks for being my partner :-)
Comment: You know that you absolutely did not have to do this...however, I can say with absolute certainty that you did a great job in your choice. Words can not express how much I appreciate this. You are fabulous. XOXOXO Thanks!
Response: Yes, and we will both be joining the Sam Farman fan club! Thanks for being so understanding. I just didn't have my heart in it, and Sam came to my rescue. Isn't she the most amazing? Love her.
Comment: Sorry it took so long to rate. I absolutely love the dishcloths that you made for me. The crocheted one turned out great, and well, who can goof up the idiot-proof knit one. (o: Thanks so much for a great swap. Hope to see you around again in the new year.
Response: Oh, I could probably mess up the idiot pattern without much problem... lol. Thanks for the nice rating, and I'm sure we will do more swaps :-)
Comment: This was such an amazing swap by you! You topped everything that I could imagine. I love my crochet narwhal stuffie, the owl stuffie is so lovely too. The shrinkie love bird charm looks so real, like they could fly out of it any moment. And thanks so much for all those great extras you sent too. Am so happy about it all, it brightened my day. Thanks.
Response: Thank you Mim. I'm really glad you liked everything :-)
Comment: This was a very special package! Fun dishcloths...what stitch did you use for the blue one? The dishcloths are great! Thank you so much for the card and the notecards and envie with birds. You must have read my profile!
Response: Glad you like everything :-)
Now go do some dishes!!
Comment: Thanks for all the awesome links! It was nice getting to know a little about what inspires you! Really liked the Happy Zombie one. I had it bookmarked on my old computer, and forgot about it :)
Comment: marina- - i can not even put into words how beautiful the quilted hanging is! it is breathtaking!! the tiny details & the sweet embellishments are delightful. she's hanging now and will stay up for many years to come (in the new house!!!)!! thank you so much for the time put into this swap! it's always so exciting to receive from you! ttys, wild woman! love, jess
Response: Glad you like her and she got there okay :-) Steve didn't want me to send her away and was super reluctant to mail her off for me, Guess that means I need to make him one too... lol. Now, go even up that mustache, and we will talk soon :-)
Comment: Thank you so much! I LOVE the things you sent for this swap, especially your embroidery patterns! That was so generous! The Halloween greeting card is hilarious! And I'm waiting for inspiration to strike on what to do with the movie monster book. Thanks again! :)
Response: Glad you liked it all :-) that Movie Monster Book was just waiting for a good home! Happy Halloween!
Comment: I love the zentangles that you sent to me! You must use a very tiny pointed pen to get such stunning details! They are fabulous! Thank you for agreeing to this private swap with me - it was a lot of fun and I'm thrilled to add your tangles to my collection!
Response: Glad you like them. I love my Zig pens! Thanks for the nice rating :-)
Comment: You are genious the way you fit everything so neatly on your card in such a small space. I love it, very clever. I am stealing your idea for the flames now for an ATC I have to make. Haha, you said dangly bits.
Response: Balzac! I think it would have been a good ATC except for the dangly bits. Do you have some of those crappy napkins for flames? Let me know and I can send you a couple if you don't :-) I love the graffiti. Makes me want to go find a train boxcar and "decorate" it!
Comment: Wow, what an amazing story behind your stamp! Thanks for including extra stamps inside the envelope - the one on the outside (& your hand-carved cancellation) was completely covered by the 'real' postage! :( Thank you for a fun swap. :) (P.S. Apologies for delay in rating - I accidentally rated the wrong partner...! :S )
Response: Glad you liked the story about Samson. Hope to do more carved/faux stamp swaps in the future with you :-)
Comment: I love it! You seriously need to give yourself way more credit on your artwork, this is lovely, as is everything you make. I am keeping this on my shelf of favorites. If it makes you feel any better I had to trash a couple of mine before I got one that worked and didn't have too many holes in it! I agree it was quite a challenge. It makes me laugh that this is supposed to be a medium for grades 5-12, ha! I guess we finally passed. This is truly lovely, REALLY!!! Balzac.
Response: Oh man!! I'm so glad I'm finally going to graduate high school!! I really didn't get the color intensity that I was hoping for, and so then it all starts going to hell and I think it is a total piece of crap. I'm glad you like it, though... Ooooh, and a place of honor on your shelf of favorites!! It must be way better than I remember! Thanks, Crappy Balzac. You make this place lots of fun!
Comment: The stamp is amazing! I love it so much! Thank you thank you thank you. Also, the bookmark is phenomenal.
Response: Glad you like my attempt at carving a Nautilus. He looked pretty cool when I did a "test" stamping :-) The Oregon coast is a beautiful place. The trick is to get all of those animals in the same place to pose for that picture! lol
Response: You are very kind and generous with your rating, Rebecca. I actually lost the first card I made for this swap. Of course I want to think that it was most magnificent, but it was probably very much the same as the one I sent... lol.
Comment: Beautiful as always, Marina. I love how you added those little teeny tiny bitty beads around the edge - brings the whole thing together. I'm so happy to have had you for a partner again! Thanks also for the note pad. : )
Response: Thank you, Brenda. Here's to purple girlfriend power!! If you ever need to mail me a note, I am totally expecting it to be on that silly notepad paper. Yeah, and written with a glittery purple pen!
Comment: Marina, this ATC is BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't know which one you were looking at, but the one I am looking at is amazing!! I love it, my favorite are the old fashioned seed packets and yes they are lovely petunias you silly girl! I hate to break it to you, but you CAN paint, and you did a great job! Thanks for the awesome addition to my collection. Honestly, I love it. (heh, you said donkey wieners)
Response: I'm not going to give up. Some day I will be on par with the rest of you painty people, and I won't have to feel like I'm sending crap. Yeah, Donkey wieners!!
Comment: I love this ATC - right up my alley! Love the work you did with the metal tape and the sequin accents are great! Tell Steve he can have visitation rights in October when I'm out in Oregon! : )
Response: I really love working with the metal tape. Glad you like it :-)
Comment: What a stunning image of Lizzie with her new do, hahaha, very clever!!! Love it. Thank you for the gorgeous bookplates and extra ATC too. What a fantastic swap you put together for me, and very thoughtful.
Response: Haha! Lizzie was the "Queen Bee", so it is quite appropriate! I think she wears it very well :-) I'm glad you like the bookplates. It's a little further back in history from "vintage", but they are pretty cool.
Comment: When I opened up my ATC from its tissue paper wrapping, the words out of my mouth were, "Oh, wow!" What a fantastic ATC, Marina! I love the background and the flower is amazing. And in addition to that, thank you also for the AMAZING artistamp ATC AND my very own greyhound stamp you carved me. I am so very spoiled! I am going to wait until Michael is sleeping and go put some greyhound stamps in the closet in my craft room! Thanks so very much - this was a really lovely package from a fantastic swapper. I'm going to be smiling for the rest of the day! So nice seeing Steve's work on the postcard, too!
Response: Glad that you like it all :-) I always have such a collection of stuff that I want to send, that the actual swap sometimes gets a bit lost in there !
Comment: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I loved this! The stamps are ultra craptastic! I love it when there is a story to them :) Perfect! Gurgle...and the handmade quilt envie.....gurgle drool....I lurves, lurves, lurves it my crappy sis :) Many mwhas and hugs for my goodies <3
Response: Christy! No gurgling or drooling on the stamps!!
Comment: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ The book that you made for me is beyond gorgeous. I can not even begin to say how much I love it. You are the best! Thanks!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Response: I love that you love it! Yay for embroidery!
Comment: Crapsuey got your artistamp today! It is so wicked awesome. I love how you made it symbolic of your beloved Pajaro Valley. I hope you get to visit there from time to time. Beautiful stamp! These will certainly be fun to start collecting for sure.
Response: I just did the calculations, and if I rode my horse 34 miles a day, I could have handed you my swap faster than the PO got it there. Unreal. I'm glad it got there finally! I think this whole fake stamp thing is a plot to get me to sit at my computer even MORE than I already do. My poor butt.
Comment: Wow, I really love your artistamp! I think the PO thought it was real, as it has been cancelled with a separate postmark, just like the 'real' stamps. What did you decide on for edging your stamps, in the end? P.S. I also love the background story for the stamp & ATC - makes it so much more personal. Thank you :-)
Response: Yes, the postmistress stamped it and said, "Oh, wow! I almost missed one!" I told her it was a fake and then she felt bad for stamping it. I told her it was cool, that it made it look more real! I used (very carefully) some large scalloped scissors that have a small wave edge. It's hard to cut them, but until I find something that I really like, I will suffer through :-)
Comment: How absolutely wonderful!! :::::dancing around here::::::: You are so talented with this. Thank you, thank you!!
As far being tired of having you for a partner-never! And I could ask you the same thing! :)
Response: I'm so glad you like it :-) I do seem to do the best with fabric, and silks are just the best to work with. I like to push myself to use other media, but I know that this really is what I do best. Thank you for the nice rating, and I'm glad it got there okay!
Comment: Got my package today and I couldn't really believe how awesome it all is. I love my tiny rabbit, the owl family and especially the cat angel. I love the fabric you made them of, so super soft. They are super tiny and never seen so many cute things in one package for me. Thanks so much for making my day. Would give you even more hearts if possible. Thanks!!
Response: You deserve a thousand tiny stuffies! I am really glad that you like them :-) Thank you for the nice rating, Mim. You are too kind.
Comment: OMG! I absolutely love, love, love this ATC. I've long coveted your fiber art wondering how I might come in possession of one, I wonder no more!! This will be framed and on the wall ASAP. Thank you so much - you're the best!
Response: Lol... so you can decipher heiroglyphics? Yes, I love doing all that needle stuff! Thanks for the nice rating :-)
Comment: runsaroonie, you have outdone yourself! my seahorse ATC is incredible! i'm so thrilled to call it mine! i love the colors you used on him/her! :o) you're a rock star! ::squishes:: ttys, i hope! xx, jess
Response: I'm glad you like the Seahorse... maybe a Sea slug for the next swap?
Response: Thank you, Vicki. I really wanted the colors to pop, but I just couldn't seem to get them saturated enough. I'll have to play some more. A friend told me that the color catcher sheets for the washer work much better, so that might be my next attempt.
Comment: OH MY GOODNESS - this is the absolutely amazingest, loveliest brooch ever! (";) Thank goodness it finally came, what a treasure I might have missed! A bazillion hearts to you dear! Thank you! Hugs, Terry
Response: I'm so glad it got there okay. It's hard not to worry when you work hard on something. So happy that you like it. I love the ocean, too.
Comment: I...love...it!!! You did a most fabulous job on it & I'll be displaying it in a place where people will get to see & admire it. Thank you so much! XO♥ p.s. Did you color the fabric yourself? If so, really nice job. If not, great background choice.
Response: Glad you like it. I enjoyed adding the extra flowers and the Blue Jays.. just seemed sort of empty without some wildlife. Yes, I dyed the background with the "sprinkle dye" method. I love the finished product, plus it's loads of fun to do!
Comment: I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much! Where did you get the little turtle you set it in!?! :)
Response: Glad you like it! I found 2 of the turtles at an estate sale with the pincushion part deteriorated. I made new tops for them, although I haven't embroidered mine yet. Thanks for the generous rating :-)
Response: I felt like these were very inadequate when I saw some of the other ATCs from this swap. Many of them had wonderful shadows and shading, and then there's mine with none. Just stark blobs of color. I really liked mixing the paints, and hope to get a lot better at painting, too. Thank you for the generous rating :-)
Comment: After all your hastles with postage, they arrived today. Oh wow!!!! How very cute, and thoughtful of you, I love them, and you made me 2!!!! They are just so adorable. I especialy love the little wings. Thank you so much.
Response: Glad you like them :-) It was fun to make the pair. I knew I had to make Bumblebees when I saw the name of your Etsy store. As for the post office, sometimes I feel like I would have better luck if I just carried my packages to their destination myself and bypassed them all together!
Comment: These ATC's are really awesome - thanks SO much, it is apparent a lot of time was spent on them...I think you "got" the lesson better than I did, I was tense through all 3 of mine! The pens are great, never tried them before but they write like a dream (now something else to go out and stock up on!) - thanks again for everything :)
Response: Yes, those pens make a nice smoothe line. I love them! There was a lot of angst over this swap, to be sure. I always want them to turn out better than they do, but I guess it's a beginning. Thanks for the nice rating, and I hope we will be partnered up again sometime.
Comment: Holy Crap-o-la! That skull is awesome and amazing! It's amazingly awesome!!!!! Thank you so much. I would love to give you more hearts if I could. I almost don't want to wear it so I can perserve it! Thanks again!!!!!!!!! ^v^
Response: Do I need to make you another one as a backup? Lol! I'm really glad you like it.
Comment: Oh, Marina! What a great package. I love it all. I can't wait to take the goodies home to the critters and see them enjoy them. But the ones for the human are especially awesome -- most of all the crocheted doggie! It looks just like Barkley! Did you actually MAKE it?! I'm in awe [bowing I'm-not-worthy bow]. LOVE this swap. heart heart heart heart heart.
Response: So glad that the dog actually looks like your dog..lol. It is the first crocheted animal I have tried to make, so I'm amazed that it actually turned out. That other blue crocheted thing is supposed to be a tug toy, just in case you were wondering :-) Thanks for the niice rating.
Comment: Wow!!!!!! It's stunning! I absolutely adore the shrine you created for me. So VERY VERY cool!
A really clever idea and beautifully made. You're a star! I'm so lucky to have had you as a swap partner. Thanks so much Marina. I hope we swap again soon : ) Just (very carefully) pulled the matchbox down.....It's even cooler than I thought... my own little nosferatu : )
Response: Boy, the post took it's sweet time!! So glad it got there finally :-) Glad you like it, and I hope you were able to find the keys to the lock. I could hear them rattling around in there after I boxed it up. Did you take the matchbox part out and see who is underneath?? Thanks for the nice rating!
Comment: Oh Marina, what can I say? I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything you sent! Thank you so much for the skull moulds, papel picado, felt bag, Oscar ornament.... everything! You are a treasure x Hannah
Response: Glad you like everything! I hope you and your son have fun making the sugar skulls. This year I am going to try using puffy paint to decorate them, as the Royal icing is a royal pain! Maybe later we can do a Day of the Dead swap of some sort :-)
Comment: marina! i got the greatest treasure in my box today! :oD thank you so much for the yarn ball filled with delightful sea treasures. the girls and i had so much fun searching for them as unwound it! i can't wait to use them for a charm bracelet! :o) thanks so much doll. you're the best! xx, jess
Response: Oh Jess, it was fun making it for you. I knew you would love all the fish beads. Cool postcard of the Jelly, huh?
Comment: Wow. When I saw yours my first thought was 'Crap! Why didn't I think of something like that!!!' I love it, and all the dirt stayed put, and I love the little rat in box. It's awesome, and thank you so much for the magnet!
Response: I was hoping that you were familiar with the story of Nosferatu, or the dirt and the rat would not make much sense. Glad you like it. I was really tempted to keep it!
Comment: Oh, I love it all! The lion ATC is just great - I think the darkness works, it's like he's glowing amidst the majesty of the infinite night sky ;) Your charm and stamp are wonderful too, thank you so much! -PS: I'm also excited about the star Star Fruit stamp, all of them actually, good choices!! :D
Response: I'm glad you like everything :-) Thank you.
Comment: Your doll is sooooo wonderfull, thank you for all your work and yes she did look great with the bonnet. I love your first attempts and I'm more than happy to have them arrive in my letter box. Thay will alwaygs get a good home in New Zealandhugs :-)
Response: So happy you like her. Doesn't she remind you of Holly Hunter in "The Piano"? Especially with that bonnet on! Glad she will have a nice home :-) Thanks, Kathleen.
Comment: This definitely has the WOW factor - love it, thank you. I really like the skull card, too.
Response: Glad you like the ATC :-) I love making the fabric ones and decorating them up. Happy that you like the postcard! I used to work with that photo archives place for my job, and they sent me cool cards all the time. Glad to share. :-)
Comment: Hey Marina
The slow boat must have been in hyper drive because my family of kitties arrived. They are gorgeous. Thank You so much for spoiling me. "adjusts halo" and "winks". - Janine
Response: I'm so glad the whole family made it there okay! I was a little worried about not having enough food and treats for the long boat ride. Angel, you deserve to be spoiled. I know you will take good care of the kittehs!!
Comment: What an amazing assortment of crapalicious napkins! I especially love the adorable little tissues!! They will be PERFECT for decoupage! I cannot wait to start creating with them. Thank you so much for such a beautiful selection!!
Response: Thanks Vicki :-) I had fun picking them all out once I found somewhere to buy some good ones! Yes, the little tissues are sweet. I have a feeling we will have to be extra careful with those, being so fragile and all. Glad you like them, and I'm looking forward to swapping some of our crappy napkin creations!
Comment: Excellent napkins. I am going to try the tissue, it just might be a little more fragile. I bet they work. Thank you so much these are terrific.
Response: Now I'm a crappy napkin addict.. lol. Yes, I thought the same about the tissues. I think they will work with a bit more care. Glad you like them, Linda. We will need a start a swap for the crappy things we make with them!
Comment: Oh my gosh, your crappity squares are gorgeously crappy! Honestly I cannot tell which one you did blindfolded, they are all so beautiful, and I mean beautifully crappy in the gorgeous sense! Wow, my fave is the green one, well, its sparkly, what crapsister wouldn't be mesmerized by glitter? ok, I have just stared them all down and I just cannot tell which one is eyes closed! I just love them all, I love the writing on them idea. Wow such little pieces of crap! Ok, I hate to guess, because they are all so cool, but I will guess the red one?? Man, you should see the blind one I did, mine is totally obvious, haha! OOOOhhh, the pooh etc. pages you used to separate are scrumptiously crap filled! Thank you so much! You'z a good crap ho!
Response: What crappy fun, huh? I was surprised how a bunch of crap glued on a piece of paper can be so purty! I'm really glad you like the glittery ones, too, because I didn't see anything about glitter at all on your profile, so I figured it was a neutral kind of thing for you. The one I did with my eyes closed was the black and silver one. It's only obvious in one spot that there are about 6 or 7 pieces of paper glued almost exactly on top of each other..lol. I had to take a picture of that one so I could tell where stuff went. Hard gluing pieces down if you can't pick them up, and it's hard picking them up without getting it all mixed up! Thanks for the "good crap ho" comment :-) I try.
Comment: Thank you sooooo much!! This was incredibly thoughtful of you, everything suits my interests right down to my name being on it, as well as the zodiac and unicorns and ladybugs..... I think you are creative and thanks again for this amazing clipboard. I am truly amazed....
Response: I'm really glad you like it :-) I was tempted to keep it.. lol. I tried to include all the things you posted on your profile, so I'm happy to hear that you appreciate my effort.
Comment: What a gorgeous red sparkly star matchbox! Love the little pepper bead :) Thank you for the all-red embellishments and the tons of pretty extra ribbons.
Response: I'm glad you like it. I was afraid to send it off, as you are the Matchbox Queen and have some pretty high standards. A mere beginner here, but I hope to do more swaps with you in the future.
Comment: Wow bat rays sounds really cool, and you did a great job with the ATC , I dont have many fabric ATCs in my collection, this one is a wonderful addition, + it also feels soft and velvety like that bat ray. Well done:) Thank you so much!!
Response: Thanks Sharila~ I love all the Rays. They are so lovely to watch underwater... just like they are flying. I'm glad you like the ATC. I tried to make the beads look like bubbles coming off of his wings :-)
Comment: What a great package of goodies, thank you so very much! I love everything. The ATC you made was wonderful!! Thank you for a great swap!
Response: I'm glad you liked everything.. it was fun putting things in the envelope.. "oh, she might like this, and she can probably use some of these..." Lol! The Stickles are fun, so I hope you have a good time with them :-) I hope I can find that postcard soon for you, cause I like swearing, too!
Comment: Thanks Marina! So good to get some new recommendations from someone with such similar taste in movies! Thanks for the King Kong and Jekyll/Hyde cards as well -- I've got some crafts on the go that they'll be just perfect for!
Response: I had to laugh when I saw almost all of my movies on YOUR list! Love Billy Wilder, and LOVE "Some Like It Hot"! Glad you like the stickers. I kept a set for myself :-)
Comment: I got another great swap from you today! What a fantastic ATC. I love the colors and the different elements you used. I can't believe you did it in 15 minutes -- great idea doing it in stages, too! Thank you!
Response: I almost felt like I was cheating..lol. Yes, stopping the clock when the glue is drying makes it pretty easy. Glad you like it. I'm making another for the "Spanish Word ATC" swap that I'm in. I will put the words "La Rosa" on it. Fun!
Comment: Thank you so much for the matchbooks -- I can't believe you sent so many. I love the crow matchbox and the cute happy stuff you put inside. Thanks again -- you put so much work into everything you make, and it shows!
Response: You are welcome! I love that Crow matchbox too. Maybe I'll make one for myself when I stop signing up for swaps...lol
Comment: Thank you for all your work on my beautiful attached row house, I love it. Like you I tend to make mine to look like real houses. Thank you for the great stamp, it will get pleanty of use. The doilys are beautiful and will soon be used in my craft work. Hugs :-)
Response: Glad you like the Row Houses :-) Being my first, I was a bit lost. I would have liked to have done something a bit more elaborate for the curtains in the center house, but I was running out of time! Analysis Paralysis! Glad you like the stamp and doilies. It was easy to throw some in there for you, and I am happy to share! :-)
Comment: Ok, it must be my birthday and that means I've missed summer. Wow! Marina, I love this whole package. The matchbox is far too elaborate just for me, the colors are absolutely me and the crow really sets this atop of all of the matchboxes I've seen out there - it is gorgeous! The beads are a "how'd you know", I love peridot colors as that's my birthstone; and the butterfly is gorgeous too along with the buttons that are very very cute (did you make those? - I gave up on button making). Lovely lovely package. I'm going to go make something using my new beads and butterfly. Thanks so much, gee I wish I could give you more hearts.
Response: Thanks for the nice rating, and I'm glad you like everything! When I read that you liked Peridot, I knew I had to send you those beads. Yes, the buttons are made by doslittlemonkeys, a lady here on Swap-bot! After taking a look at some of your creations, II figured that you would use them way before I ever would :-)
Comment: AWWWWWWWW thanks so much for the supercool notebook, and you really scored with the extra JELLYFISH postcards, thats my favorite animal at the moment, so you really hit the Jackpot!!!
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!! mwah!!!
We must swap again for sure!!
Response: Well thanks for the nice response... and so glad you like the Kawaii stuff! Yeah, those postcards are very cool, and I was pretty sure you would like them :-)
Comment: Wow - is all I have to say about this package! Thank you so much for the lovely blue dishcloth - you did an amazing job! And to send that along with some pretty yarn (I love the colours) and also a "one-of-a-kind" hand carved stamp! WOW! I wish I could give you a million hearts! I hope your hand is back to normal soon! :)
Response: You are very nice to have been so patient with me. I really appreciate that. Glad you liked everything. Yay for cupcakes!
OH MY GOODNESS! What a lovely surprise! The coaster is so pretty.. way to pretty to use as a coaster, so I am going to make it a magnet! I love the material as well... Thank you so much! You made my day!!!
Thanks for swapping!
Response: I'm glad you won't be using it as a coaster... it will make a nice magnet! Thank you for the Oregon postcard :-)
Comment: What an awesome package! Your carved stamps are awesome! I think you actually carved on linolium! That's some tough material to carve. You did an awesome job! Thanks!
Response: Yea, leave it to me to make it as hard as I can. Lucky for me some "real" carving blocks came in the mail today! Yay! I hope we can do another swap down the road... after I get a few more stamps under my belt. Thanks for being so nice about everything, and thanks for the nice rating :-)
Your Oscar Wilde ATC was exquisite. It was well worth the wait! I rarely receive any artwork with such loving attention to detail and showing off something new I've never seen before. Your ATC is one for my special collection - thank you so much for making this a wonderful swap for me!
Response: I'm glad you like it :-) Oscar Wilde was such an original, just any old ATC just wouldn't really do, would it?? Lol! The hardest part was narrowing down which quote to use. I would like to do a series of these cards. One just isn't enough!
Response: You are so welcome. I am very happy that you like it! I love making those shaker boxes - I think I am addicted :-) I just bought some microbeads in every color just to put in them... a sure sign there will be many more to come. Thank you.
Comment: Just beautiful! I LOVE them! Thanks so much!!
Response: I'm so glad you like them! I figured either you would like them a lot or you would hate them. I was really out of my element here, so I'm happy that they turned out okay. Nice and glittery, aren't they?
Comment: Girl, that atc is fabulous. I am soo proud of it. You took a lot of time with those bright, shiny, red hearts so I wish I could give you many hearts than one. I also am overjoyed at the heart necklace. I couldn't believe that you were that generous to send that. I can't wait to wear it. Thank you a bunches.
Response: Thank you and I'm glad you liked the ATC and the beaded heart. You deserve lots more.
Comment: Wrangler!!!! Eau my god - your zens are just so spectacularly amazingly gobsmackingly excellent! My fave is "You can run, but you can't hide" (it was hard to pick a fave, as they are all fab). And I LOVE the presentation folder. Awesome swap - thank you so much, and thanks for the eyes as well! Sam xoxo
Response: I'm so glad you like them. After seeing yours, I feel like mine are a bit boring... but if you say that they are gobsmackingly excellent, who am I to say they're not?? Eau yes!!
You are my 50th rating... would that be my golden jubilee??
Comment: I love love love this card...What a wonderful ideal and you made it look so great...And to take the time to read my profile and pick out my best buddy to make the atc from...The colors are outstanding and the iguana is so cute..And you have one too, thats so cool,,So you know just how cute these little devils can be,, so I get it...lol..This one has take a front place in my collection books...Thank you so very much....
Response: I'm glad you like him :-) Silly lizards!
Thank you for the nice rating!
Comment: Hello Marina!
I got your stunning ATC today. Thanks so much..you did a wonderful job and also thanks a lot for the magnet..it's so nice =)
Response: This was one of the most fun swaps I've done since I've been here, and I'm glad you like what I made for you. I was so excited to mail it to you that I forgot to take a picture :-( Oh well... I'm learning!! Glad you like the magnet. The picture is from The Gashlycrumb Tinies: Zillah who drank too much rum! Love Edward Gorey!
Comment: I wish I could give you more for this rating, but I cant. You made me possibly one of the best ATC's I have ever swapped for. Its NEVER leaving my collection EVER. and the little fridge magnet was really really good, You say you dont make these all the time. Well your nose will definatly grow if you keep saying that, thats for sure, that looks pretty pro to me.
Response: Thank you for the nice words, Trinket. I'm really glad you like my ATC :-)
We will swap again, I'm sure!
Comment: This was one of the finest done ATC's I have received on SwapBot!!! And you said it was your first! Oh my! AWESOME! You are very artistic, and I was sooo lucky to have been blessed to receive this one! OF COURSE you receive a HEART for it! And thanks for the magnet too!
Response: I'm happy that you're happy! I am really enjoying playing with paper and Modge-Podge :-) Glad you like your little magnet. Thanks!
Comment: My darling, this ATC you sent me is astonishingly gorgeous! I love everything about it! You are really a true artist. Thank you so much for the beautiful card and the fun little magnet. The magnet's already on my fridge. :)
Response: Very kind words :-) I had fun making them. Thanks, and I hope we get to swap again sometime!
Comment: W-O-W...These go immediately to the top slots of "best ATCs I've received." I've started carrying them around so I can pull them out and show them to my friends. And possibly random passers-by. I can't imagine the work involved, but I'm happy that I was the lucky recipient! Thank you millions!
Response: Glad you like them :-) Hard to go wrong with Dead Parrots and Silly Walking! I realized after I sent them that I spelled "Norwegian" wrong... especially bad since my boyfriend is Norski. Oh well... somedays I can spell, somedays I'm a bit challenged. Thanks for the rating!
Comment: The cards are 2 cool for words! My daughter asked "How did she do that?" I told her "Magic". Thanks so much.
Response: Magic! I like that!
Being a sewer, too, I know you appreciate the effort that goes into that kind of work, even though it sometimes looks simple. Some people just don't get it, but so glad you and your daughter do!!
Comment: omg mujer, i am so in awe of the St. Francis postcard you sent, it's seriously thee most beautiful card I think I've ever received, I, and other family members were oohing and aahing over it all afternoon, it's now on display in my library, I appreciate so much all the work and creativity you put into it...St. Francis is also one of my favorite Saints.
thank you so much =0)
Response: I'm so glad you and your family like it, and I SO appreciate that you have it on display in your library! Comments like yours make all the work I put into this swap totally worth it. I liked them so much that I made one for myself, too!
Comment: SOOOOOOOO FLIPPIN AMAZING!!!! love love love it. you are such a fabric goddess!!!
Response: YAY for Postcards!!! So glad you like it. I worked hard on them and learned a lot about glitter... haha! I even made one for myself.
St.Francis was an amazing man. Gave up a fortune to live his beliefs; besides being an animal activist, did you know that he's also the patron Saint for needleworkers? Cool, huh?
Comment: Thank you for the WONDERFUL fabric postcard of Saint Francis! It is beautiful! I wish there was a double heart button.
Response: You're so sweet. I'm glad you weren't disappointed when it wasn't the Madonna. I really love St. Francis, and he needs to get a higher profile going on! Did you see the stamps on the back? They are copies of stamps that were issued in 1926 celebrating his 700th birthday! Cool, huh?
Comment: Marina! Betty got here today and I absolutely LOVE HER! She's hanging on my wall above my computer. I just realized she's not wearing any panties the slut! HAHAHA! I LOVE her face, and her hair, OMG and her BOOTS!!! She's crazy cute!!! OMG and thank you for the Tarot cards!! How on earth did you know I enjoy the tarot so much?!?! I can't wait to use them!
Response: Of course you'd notice the panties were missing... hey! they just get in the way of a girl's work! Glad you like her :-)
The Tarot? I read profiles, man! I was hoping it was a deck you don't already have. Have fun with it!
Comment: The card is beyond amazing. And I absolutely LOVE the pictures you sent with it! You must have read my profile! ;D The seahorse... definitely my fave. Looking forward to more swaps with you in the future!!
Response: Of course I read your profile...you are the queen of exoskeletons! Glad you liked your ATC. And thank you for my first rating!
