Comment: Absolutely delighted, I recognized Lincolnshire immediately as some cousins are from Lincoln (one wrote a book Captain Cobbler -shoemaker from Louth). Thank you so much, it's a small world :-)
Comment: Lucy, thank you for the card. We are in a heat wave and it is only May It has been in the 90's for the last week and a half. It will hit 100 tomorrow. It is wonderful I have central air. Wednesday back down to the 80's which is okay by me. Shirley
Comment: Thanks for the English multi-view card, Lucy! I love that postage stamp! I read somewhere that the Queen of England has the most valuable stamp collection in the world-do you think that's true?
Comment: Thanks for the interesting post card showing British piers. I was intrigued to realise that I have seen all of them at one time or another! I hope that you have had a good Christmas and that 2019 will be happy and fulfilling.
Comment: Lucy, thank you for the multi-view postcard. We are definitely into summer also with the heat and humidity.. We have had rain showers everyday for over three weeks now. I feel sorry for the people that have rented beach cottages with all this rain. Not a good summer. Shirley
Comment: Lucy, thank you for the map postcard of Lincolnshire. We also have been getting extremely cold weather for this time of year. Usually this time of year, people start going to the beach. Not this year, they are still hibernating for the bitter cold winter we had. Shirley
Comment: Lucy, hope you are feeling better. We have had a very cold winter here and it is spring and still very cold. It is a bit depressing to still see the brown grass. Hopefully it will warm up soon. Your series of Ladybird books is similar to our Dick and Jane books. Thank you for the postcard. Shirley
Comment: It’s hard to find PC’s. This past summer we drove through all The Prairies and when traveling I always send our grandchildren PC’s from every place we stop. We stopped at many places and couldn’t find any PC’s, 3 provinces and nothing. Finally on our way home I found one that said The Prairies and that was it, didn’t say what province, town/city - just The Prairies. Think in some areas/countries PC’s are a becoming a rare thing 🙁.
Comment: Love the peacock! We were driving on some little rinky dink road..was more like an alley in a small town in CO and at the end was like 20 peacocks! they were all squawking and showing their tails...was pretty cool! Thank you for the PC :)
Comment: Oh my God, this beautiful postcard of Cleethorpes Pier traveled more than 100 days to reach my hands, what a joy to receive it when I thought it had gone astray, thank you very much, it's very nice, greetings from Chile!
Comment: What a nice surprise!! I got the same beautiful cat postcard from a swap, kept it for months, and just sent it to another postcrosser; now I got it back!!! I do like the green-eyed cat and it's more valuable now since it was just for me. To me, the postcard with stamps is more precious!! Thank you!!
Comment: Belated thank you for this beautiful vintage illustration of bees and your lovely Royal Mail stamps (at last summer's World Stamp Show, I bought so, so, so many Royal Mail stamps just to collect for the art :), Lucy! I was pleasantly reminded of the opening chapter of Eat the City (which chronicles various foods and their relationship to/history in New York City), which has to do with modern-day beekeepers :) I hope your end-of-summer has been going well ♥
Comment: Thank you for card that is very pretty. Unfortunately, bad postal treatment caused several wrinkles and a tear in the middle. Yes, i love summer, and it is going too quickly. My daughter is visiting from London and will be returning there next month.
Comment: Thank you very much for the beautiful postcard of Cleethorpes that you sent me, it is very beautiful, just like the stamps and the little bee that flew with the postcard ...
Greetings from Chile!
Comment: Hello Lucy! Thank you for the great card from Grimsby. You mentioned the buildings are no longer in use and that is sad. We have the same situation here, beautiful buildings and standing empty. Have a great week! Jan
Comment: Love your card, Lucy! I'm a Leo and this big old lion is going to be hanging on my display board for a long time! All the best to you and your family for the New Year! See you in the mail.... eepy

Comment: OMG love the meerkats! We get to see them at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne every time we have a hospital appointment for my son. We have just started our summer! Actually proper summer weather, with rain forecast for Friday so I am sending you some summer vibes!
Comment: Love the card!!! peacocks are beautiful but MEAN creatures. My friends thought they would add something at their already lovely southern farm. They chased you, sat on the fence to watch for victims.
Comment: Thank you for the strawberry PC. I lived for awhile in the strawberry capitol of Louisiana in Ponchatoula in Tangipihoa Parish. Louisiana has parishes not counties. And the town and parish name are old Choctaw Indian words.
Comment: Love the puppy postcard. I'm a huge animal/dog lover. Our fur babies make us happy and laugh everyday. I hope spring is warming up for you. We are finally having a nice week. Take care, annette
Comment: Thank you for the darling foxes, great QEII and packet ship stamps (I love the idea of a ship dedicated to carrying official mail :), and for a great swap, Lucy! I like the sound of chilly and spring-like -- usually here, spring equals warm and humid :) Happy Thursday!
Comment: Thank you Lucy for the Cleethorpes postcard; I've never been but have visited other places along that part of the coast. I love sea views even with the cars showing! It's great to get a postcard occasionally from the UK. Best wishes Jenny
Comment: Thanks a lot for your great card and gorgeous Star Wars special stamp!! I love strawberries - we used to have them in the garden but not any longer. You can buy them fresh from the field here which is cheaper and less work :)
Comment: Thank you for the postcard, Lucy! I'm so sorry for the late rating. I've been off SB for a few weeks and am just now getting back and wanted to be sure to leave your rating. I do love peacocks, and the peacock feathers were brilliant in color!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely ladybug PC! Extra hearts for sending me a cute insect! <3 <3 I am happy to hear Autumn is near, here in muggy humid Georgia, USA it still feels like the middle of summer!
Comment: Thank you for the neat post card. We're well into Autumn here. Supposed to get warmer for next week. Good because I've got plenty of things to get done outside and put away before Winter. Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you for the postcard, i really like it..although i recieved it naked you checked my profile and was ready to re send although the swap doesn't call for envelope so I'm giving a heart for your thoughtfulness
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. My sister is in England at present. She will be home next weekend after 10 weeks away. I am missing her but she will have lots of stores to share when she gets home.
Comment: Thank you dear Lucy for a lovely seaside magnet from Cleethorpes. It looks lovely with my.Mablethorpe beach hut magnet. Too funny how all the swappers in this one live within about 50 miles of each other-small world. Thanks again, all the best from Kim x
Comment: Lucy, I got your card yesterday. It's my first official GF, made me soooo happy. Do you have Belgium GF already ? I would love sending it to you. Have a nice day and thanks again for making my monday a happy mail day !
Comment: Hi Lucy! Thanks for the beautiful Gerbera daisy postcard! One of my favorite flowers! Loved all the UK stamps and the Minion stickers! :-) I visited UK two years ago and would go back in a sec. Had a great time! Happy (almost over) August to you, too! Valerie
Comment: Thank you for the nice, big Carousel chunk-o! I am keeping some cones around, too. They are a little different--flat bottoms & no wafers--and the box is not nearly as nice. I'll still turn it into postcards, though!
Comment: Great chunk O cardboard!! They do look delicious on the package, I hope they were yummy. I love chocolate salted caramel in any form:) great washi tape too, especially liked the airmail one. Hope you're having a great summer:)
Comment: Thank you for the pretty butterfly on flowers postcard. They are even pink, my favorite color. It has been hot here also. We went from very cold to very hot with nothing in between. Glad your garden is doing well.
Comment: Thanks for sharing your pics! I love the way you made your raised bed!
Response: you're welcome :), my dad made it, the roof tiles were in piled up at the end of the garden when we move into our new house, so I asked my dad and he said they could be used :), it's the perfect height for me :D
Comment: Thank you for the lovely penguin chicks. They are cute. Twelve months ago I was preparing for my trip to London and today I wish I was in London because it is cold and rainy here in Melbourne. Looking forward to our next swap.
Comment: Blue Blue the ATC card is BLUE and what a pretty BLUE card it is too…..thank you so much for this…. I love it….. and I love the STAMPS….. esp the ALICE in WONDERLAND one…. the ATC card I did for A was Alice in Wonderland!!! Happy Swapping…...
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful Queen stamps card with the new Alice stamp :) Totally love that stamp! If I ever become your partner again, hope to receive other stamp in this series. I know there are many different stamps of Alice and all are very pretty :D
Comment: Hey Lucy,
Thank you for the neat Cat PC. When I first saw it I thought it was for a Cat PC swap that I was also in. Upon reading the card I realized it was for the card board swaps. How cool is that? I loved your idea for this PC. Thanx for sharing it with me.
Comment: Hi Lucy, Thanks for the cool card! Yes, it reached me fast--yours was the first of the 3 in this trade to get to me! Fun packaging--the product is new to me, though the heart logo does look familiar. I received 3 other postcards today, "real" ones, but yours is my very favorite! Chunk-O-Cardboard is the best. :)
Comment: Lucy I have just finished wrapping my last gift. I love this time of year but hate wrapping present.Getting your card was a nice break in the day ,thank you for the sweet card. Merry Christmas
Comment: Thankyou! Tucked away for Christmas morning. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas xxx
UPDATE: opened! The socks are lovely! My favourite colour too! Thankyou for the jelly lollies too, I've shared one with my nephew Christmas Day, we both have a sweet tooth ;). I hope you've had a lovely festive season x
Comment: I love the card and your desire to help animals And, others. Your beautiful queen is an example for woman's ability to do the best job for what she must deal with in life. Remember her father was not supposed to be the king.
Comment: I am crazy about Great Britain so I always love to see something from the other side of the pond! Thank you so much for your postcard. It reminds me of the little train that ran through the NUT TREE in Vacaville, CA USA when I was a kid!
Comment: Yes, I bought my mom early spring 1988, so it has been awhile. We saw POTO just before it left. Everywhere was fun. Was sad to see Candem burned - I had been there as well. A heart for the lovely postcard!
Comment: Thank you for the PC Lucy - LOVE all of the pretty stamps on it too. I have not been to an air show since I was a young child and my my dragged me there; perhaps I would enjoy it now that I am an adult. *grin* Take care and have a lovely day!
Comment: thanks lucy for the peaceful looking postcard. it must be nice to eat ice cream & walk along that beach. the beaches near me are dirty, because the mississippi river enters the gulf nearby, and keeps the waters churned up. the donkeys (burros ?) are cute! :))
Comment: Lucy- Thank you for the wonderful "ozzie" the owl pc! I love it! And the postage stamps are amazing! Thank you! I always love receiving mail from you! Best wishes to you. And I hope it has stopped raining!
Comment: Hello Lucy, Thank you for resending a postcard for this swap. Because you reacted so quickly after my message, I give you a heart. That's the spirit of a real swapbotter. The card is very yummy yummy. Pity the first one got lost, but let's be happy that it happens only now and then.
Comment: Thanks for very nice card. our Christmas was quite also which is a change for our house. The first Christmas without our mom is always the hardest but you sound strong and congrats on making dinner:)
Comment: Thank you for the pretty flower PC and note. Sorry I did not get this rated sooner. Was busy getting son moved back in then we started replacing tile on kitchen floor and the swaps I needed to rate go put in the other room and forgot to get done.
Response: thank you for the rating, and heart, no problem :)
Comment: I love the squirrel postcard thank you! I thought it was funny because this is a duplicate one for me and I received another of the squirrel pc last week sometime. I was just saying how much I loved it and that it's my new favorite and then there is was in my box from you! I'll definitely be keeping both and it's still a favorite. I love little squirrels and we have tons of them out here! I love collecting PCs too because of being a way to see the world when I can't travel right now. I do really like non-touristy ones a lot too though especially of animals.
Response: you're very welcome, I'm glad you liked the card, I bought lots online of random themes, animals, scenery and flowers and the squirrel one is one of my favourites :), thank you for the heart :)
Comment: First, thanks for hosting this swap. Second, thank you for the very interesting card. I have never been, and found it fun and educational. Great swap.
Response: you're very welcome and i'm glad you enjoyed it, I love place cards (especially maps and landmarks) and these swaps for me help me travel without even leaving the comfort of my own home, thank you for the heart :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your postcards! Believe it or not, the one from Spain and the one from Skegness both arrived today, on the same day! No idea what the Spanish postal system must be like, lol. Anyway, I enjoyed them both and appreciate your willing to send a replacement! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the PC from Spain Lucy, how fantastic!!! Where all did you go? I went with my mom about years ago and I would love to go back... Especially to see the Dali museum again and to visit somewhere with a beach!
Response: Hi, we stayed near alicante, visited the nearest town (torrevieja), terra natura zoo in benidorm, which was great :)
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful postcard. I like sender's choice swaps, because sometimes you just don't have that perfect card for someone. I've never heard of the Postcard Store, but I will check them out.
Response: you're welcome, I love these types of swaps too as it means I can pick something the person likes, thank you for the heart :)
Comment: Hi Lucy! I LOVED the Valentine postcard you sent. It was very different, and I really like it...thanks a million. Thanks also for hosting this swap...it was fun. We have had a great deal of snow, but nothing more than usual here in Central NY. By the way, I am so sorry to hear about your arthritis...that has to be very painful. Take care, Lucy....Hope we have the opportunity to swap again some day. Happy Valentine's Day, Happy Swapping and stay nice & warm if you can, when it snows! :)
Response: glad you liked the card, i've kept 1 from the set I ordered for myself :)
thank you for the lovely message :), heating has been on almost non-stop this week lol
Response: I have sent a pm asking why you have given me a rating of 1, especially without even letting me know why first. I sent this swap on 4th December 2012 (before the send by date) as I send all my swaps on time. So I am puzzled as by the rating.
UPDATE: sending replacement as first not received due to postal system!
Comment: Thanks so much for the terrific postcard that you sent and the lovely note that you wrote on it. I agree that postcards are a great way to experience the world around us! Wishing you a mailbox packed full of wonderful postcards...
Comment: Thank you for the touching story of why October is special to you. My grandmother's memorial was last October and the month is special to me in that way. It is always inportant to keep those that have passed in our hearts and in our thoughts. Thank you. --Lisa
