Comment: I couldn't imagine what this big box was...thanks for the cool pcs and I am going to open the gifties a few at a time...oh my goodness...look at the washi tape! The cats will love the toys and the bag is gorgeous. You have really gone overboard and I am not done yet!
Response: What a lovely note to go to bed on! I'm smiling, and hope you like everything in that big box!!
Comment: Anitra, you went above and beyond on this swap! I loved everything! The PL is lovely! The Mary Engelbreit touches were fabulous! Love, love, love the Coffee Pot People PCs! The extra goodies were a wonderful treat...you were way too generous. Hope you are feeling better and will stay on Swap-Bot...your creativity and generosity will be missed if you do not hang around. 😊 ❤️
Response: I'm SO glad you liked everything! Absolutely made my day--I swear, if my ears weren't in the way my smile would go all the way around my head, lol. And I Am feeling better. The problem was with a supplement my Dr. had me on. Got rid of that, and presto! all better. YAY! for getting to stay on Swap-bot!
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty and festive pocket letter! CoffeePotPeople is an interesting concept :) I love to garden as well, I hope you're feeling better! Thanks for the goodies as well, and happy swapping!

Response: I'm so happy reading this that I'm practically giggling and doing a happy dance! Thanks for a lovely rating, and for the Heart!
Comment: Hello Anitra,
Thank you so much for your lovely letter. Your handwriting is beautiful and you can keep a straight line. If I had to write on that paper my handwriting would be OK, but my sentences would be flowing all down the page.
In New Mexico , we have 4 distinct seasons. Right now we are in the season of Fall.
I have a Pintrest account and I collect books, quotes, inspirational, and then some craft ideas. I can't remember all the boards I have but those are some of them.
I really appreciate your Pocket Letter on Fall considering you don't like the season. I like how all the paper on front is connected and how you included a quote. I also appreciate all the goodies that you enclosed in each pocket for me. You did a good job on this Pocket Letter.
Response: I'm so glad you liked everything! And I meant what I said: doing this PL has changed my attitude toward Fall. It;s lovely to me now. Seriously. Most of the time, lol. Now, a confession: I found a font that looked like my handwriting and used it. I typed that letter, or my handwriting would go all over the page, too, lol!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful pocketletter, I loved it. Also the letter you included on the amazingly thin paper! It really made my day!!! Hope to meet you again in a swap
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! (The amazingly thin paper was a separator sheet for another paper, perfect for folding flat. I'll probably use all the separators long before I get around to using the "real" paper, lol.)
Comment: I love the pocket letter you made, all the goodies & thoroughly enjoyed reading your letter & thinking back to those trick-or-treating days I remember so well <3 We would fill our pillow cases! Enjoy your party! I am having a Halloween crafting party :D
Response: Ooh. A Halloween crafting party sounds like fun, too! Oh. Of course it does: I'm leaving for 5 DAYS of crafting next week, lol! We do it every year, my mom, aunt, niece, and I. So glad you liked the P.L. Thanks for the lovely rating and the heart!
Comment: Oh, Anitra---the woodland PL you sent is one of the nicest swaps I have ever been in! It is so just right in every way, I cannot tell you how happy I am with it and ALL the extras, especially the address labels and your letter.....I only want to swap with you now, haha!! It was also packaged in a perfect way and arrived nestled firmly, beautifully and nicely intact!!
Response: I'm so thrilled to read your comments, and SO glad you liked it all! Thanks for making my day. I mean, Totally! :o)
Comment: Ooooh, I love the samples you sent! Lots are new for me (and that's hard to do ;+) I even love the vintage playing cards and plan to use them too! Thanks bunches. Hope you had fun camping!
Response: I'm so glad! My husband collected playing card paraphernalia for years (he doesn't play cards!), but I keep some for ME, lol. Happy to pass them along to someone who'll use them. :o) (Camping was GREAT. Best time Evah, and can't wait for next year, especially since we came right home and bought kayaks, we'd had so much fun in my bro's.)
Comment: Oh my! I love that on Swap-bot you get to meet new and exciting people. I love this postcard and the added embellishments.
I love your art. Congrats on the placement of this unique piece in the Oregon Garden. Happy Swapping and hope we cross paths again. Thank You
Comment: Thank you for the swap. I loved the mermaid pl that you made. I really really loved all the bling and the pearls you used.
Response: I'm so glad! (I found the rhinestones at (gasp!) Dollar Tree, and now I'm looking for other colors. I mean, I had no idea what I'd use them for when I bought them, but...ooh, a water theme, lol.
Comment: Wow Anitra, what a great bag! It's the nicest one I've gotten thus far. So nice in fact that I had a difficult time deciding on my 3 things. That's a 1st. Sometimes I don't want anything. Lol. Great bag. Sorry you had to resend, but boy I'm glad you did.
Response: Well, and now I'M glad, lol! I know what you mean about sometimes not wanting anything, and am glad to have made the choices difficult for you!
Comment: Oh my gosh! I'm such a printing press nerd, haha. I've spent the most time looking at the lay away tag you sent because I swear it went through the letterpress like 5 times, but that makes NO sense! I'm going to take this with me to work tomorrow to ask my dad. I also LOVED the postcards! I can see so many stories in them!
Response: Boy, did you get me thinking! I used to work in a print shop, ran the letterpress, set up and threw in type, etc. But I didn't recall ever doing something like a layaway tag, so I went looking, and found this: http://www.xpresstags.com/manila-tags-video (I Loved running the letter press. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!)
Comment: Great swap, Anitra. Thanks for reading my profile. So appreciate that. Love the address labels. My first ones in this home of 9 months already. And swap cards, all of it was great. You need several more hearts.
Response: Yay! So delighted that you liked everything--makes a great day even more wonderful!!
Comment: Beautiful pocket letter - I love the name labels! and the other goodies!!
My favorite colors are red and blue. I loved your letter on onionskin paper... I had a lot of that before our house burned in 2010 - it's fun stuff to use in craft projects, as well as letters!
Response: I'm so glad you liked everything! Onionskin paper--it's wonderful, isn't it? I still love it, even now that I'm grown and have found out they don't make it out of onion skins!
Comment: Thank you for all the lovely Christmas stickers! I really was impressed with how you made that envelope! The little calling card with the Swap-bot logo on it had me waving it around showing my husband and saying..."heyyyy I'm going to try to make some of these too!" :)
Response: Oh, goodness. If my ears weren't in the way, I'd be smiling completely around my head, lol! SO glad you liked everything!
Comment: What an awesome pocket letter. My daughter is moving from her home and we are going to rent it for a few years. My advice on being a landlord?
Response: Glad you liked it! Is the house close to you? If not, I'd probably advise you to use a property manager. We've been long-distance landlords, and it's not easy. Otherwise, just find out as much as you can about prospective renters. One thing we learned the hard way: If they can't afford the move-in costs (1st mnth + security, at a minimum), they probably can't afford the house. And make sure they have enough income! Good luck--it can be really sweet. We love all our current tenants. :o)
Comment: I think I got this....lol I know I got something from you :)
Response: And I do remember sending something to you, so there we go! And I thought I was the only one who sometimes forgot what I got from another swapper before I rated...or did I forget to label the swap? :P
Comment: You don't even need to apologize! This was such a lovely mail and put together even while you were unwell! Wow, thank you so much... now seriously get some rest and have some tea, look after yourself! You went above and beyond, thank you again <3 <3
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! But I have to say that the one "advantage" of being so sick was days and days in bed. Once I was well enough to do something other than just lie there, I piled my goodies all over the bedspread and played Swap-bot, lol! Smiling really big now!
Comment: Thank you so much Anitra, I love your envies!!! Yes it is so addicting making envies, I feel the same way hahaha! :D
Response: You're welcome! Nice to meet a kindred spirit! I realized just today that, in spite of the fact that I have a big stash of store-bought envies, I don't even think of them anymore--just go straight for the paper and scissors, lol. Here's to more envie swaps! :D
Comment: This is one of the coolest notecards I have ever gotten. I LOVE the coffee people! It is going straight up on my wall :) The stickers are awesome too lol. I especially like the sugar skull cat. Thank you !
Response: Happy dancing! I'm so glad you liked what I sent!
Comment: Thank you for all the stickers - great variety! I've been watching your weather because a friend is from your area. You folks got hit so hard this year!
Response: Happy dance! I LOVE stickers, and accumulate them like the snowflakes that swamped us, so I use swaps for, "Oooh. I'll send this. And those, and That," because it keeps them from taking over my craft room, lol. Yes, the weather here has been amazing--biggest snow event in 40 years. I'm glad it's over, but kind of miss the beauty of it, too.
Response: Thanks! Have to admit it was an existing board to which I added a whole bunch of pins of the tent-camping variety. We usually RV it, but last year I did end up in a tent. I'd forgotten how sweet that is!
Comment: Sorry for the delay on not rating, but found your envie in a bag when I placed December mail when coming into the house. I opened near 23DEC16. I loved your coffee post postcards, thank you!! It's so unique and different. What a treat! HNY17 =D
Comment: OMg, you are too delish! Wow, thats precious where you photo shopped your faces in! I shall treasure that one, for sure, for EVER! I cant get over the extra gifts and they are your creations!!!!!!!!!!! Wowza! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And all in plastic. Smiles.
Response: Whoo-HOO!!!!!!! I'm smiling so hard I'm about to break my face, lol. I'm SO GLAD you liked what I sent!k YEs! Nailed it, lol!!!!!!!
Comment: Oh my gosh LOVED the package of Halloween FUN you sent me!! What a lucky girl I was to receive your super cool handmade card (I'm going to be saving that) And your adorable Jack on a Rack. What a really fun idea!! I'm not very handy with the whole sending pictures thing but if I get a chance I will. I hope you made a Jack for yourself! just so much fun!! The teas are AMAZING too. Thank you for putting a BIG SMILE on my face <3 <3 <3 for a super duper creative and thoughtful swap!!
Response: Well, now I'm smiling huge, too! So glad you liked the goodies, and especially Jack on a Rack! And you know what? I forgot to make one for me, lol. Thanks for reminding me to do that!
Comment: Wow, thank you so much for such a great selection of goodies! And yes, I LOVED all the handmade things you included. You sent so many fun extras too...I really, really appreciate everything so much!
Response: I'm so glad! It was fun to put the package together--I was thinking the whole time, "What else? Oooh. THAT," lol. Thanks for the <3!
Comment: Thank you for the card. What did you use for the backing? It's pliable and the post office folded it in half but looks like the pieces are intact. JoAnns fabrics carries double sided fusible iron on stabilizer. It makes fabric cards stiff and they go through postal machines easier. Thanks again.
Response: Oh, thanks for that info! I used Pellon interfacing, and iron-on fusing sheet. This was my first attempt, and I was a bit at a loss, trying for something you could sew to another PC later. Hope you can iron out the fold lines.
Comment: This composition book is awesome, and so much better than the one I did :/ Thank you :D
Response: You shouldn't worry about that--it's not a competition! I had an advantage, lol: I've been wrecking the pages of my hand-written diaries for years and years, so lots of ideas to draw on. I LOVED doing this swap!
Comment: Anita! Thank you so much for the lovely items! you are right that these all please me! I think my favorite is the turtle postcard (i have hung it on my inspiration board), but I enjoy all of it very much!
Response: I'm doing a happy dance in my head! SO glad you liked the little gifties I sent!
Comment: Thank you for such big and a full of ideas board ! All pins look so yummy ! Also it's amazing you spend time reading my profile and write about your favorite book ! I read about this book and it sounds interesting ! I will look for it in library ! ^.^
Response: I'm so glad you liked the board! I enjoyed reading your profile, and hope you can find & enjoy the book. PS Two of my friends are singers who call themselves The Polyglots!
Comment: Oh. My. Word. This is simply amazing! Thank you so very much for all the love and work you put into this. My hubby and I just kept turning it around and around admiring all the fantastic touches!
Response: Oh, I'm dancing for happy, and SO glad you like it! Made my day!
Comment: OMG, your box was so much fun! I am wearing one of the rings even and that locket with the vintage photographs were so awesome. That bottle with the pearls in the necklace, so divine and I needed those Indian turquoise pieces too and that gaudy jewel with be a doll body. Oh and beads and sparkly rhinestones. So much fun! Thanks so much!
Response: I'm so glad!! I'm trying to de-stash & de-clutter, and bless other people at the same time. This absolutely made my day!
Comment: I absolutely love what you sent me!! You sent me KiKi's Delivery Service!! Omg. :D You totally made my day. :) Everything else was also very thoughtful and I enjoyed everything. :) Thank you so much!! If I could give you extra hearts I would!. :D
Response: And you just totally made MY day!! It's funny, but I'd seen that DVD with the others just before reading your profile, so when I did, it was like FLASH! Send her Kiki's!! I'm SO glad you liked the package!
Comment: Hey Anitra!!
Whoa this is awesome hahah!!! I love how you packaged it up in a sandwich container! EPIC!!!! LOLOL!! Definitely brought me a huge smile as did the hidden chocolates in the center!! I'll need all the tissues to cry over the WEIGHT I GAIN after EATING ALL THESE SNICKERS BARS!!!!!! LOL
Adorable butterflies! My daughters both confiscated them and hung them on the curtains in their bedrooms! I LOVE this tin! it's gorgeous and will be the keeper of my spare house key in the centre console in my car!
The girls stole the pink bracelet and put it on my pomeranian - he now looks like a regal beast!!
Thank you so much for such a fun swap!!
<3 <3 <3
Response: Whoo-hoo! I've been smiling from ear-to-ear all day! Absolutely made my day. I mean, totally. SO glad you and your girls got so much pleasure from the package and little gifties! :o)
Comment: What super cool stuff! I've already got some ideas for how to reuse some of these goodies...but I have to ask...what is the bumpy plastic? I'm going to use it to texture background but I'm soooooo curious to know what it actually IS, LOL!
Response: Lol! I wondered if you'd know! It's the inside of a computer keyboard. I took one apart one day, just to see what was in there, and that was it. Some are differently made, but these are the best. And I'm SO glad you liked the package! Smiling all the way across my face!
Comment: Wow! Thank you for all of the amazing stickers! I love them all! And the postcards! One of the best swapbot packages I've received! Thank you, I appreciate the thought that went into this swap!
Response: I'm smiling all the way across my face! SO glad you liked what I sent!
Comment: Seriously. I am in shock. You sent soooooo many awesome papers. It was like getting a present in the mail. You really really went above and beyond and I'm so thankful I was your partner. Wish I could give more hearts!!
Response: I'm smiling from ear to ear, and So glad I gave you smiles, too!
Comment: I really liked the bookmarks, Anitra! The butterfly is so cute - what a great idea. And the collage really inspired me - thank you for telling me how you did that - it was so creative! (: And thanks for all the other extras - loved the scripts.
Comment: I love everything! All your paper crafts will be used in letters and mail tags with my penpals. And thank you so much for the recipe cards especially the lemon print ones. Lemons are my fave :)
Comment: WOW I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING YOU SENT! Great great package...and the cigar box, SO COOL! Especially love that GIANT black button & the bracelet! I am wearing gold & black today just so I could wear the bracelet! THANKYOUSOMUCH!!!
Response: I swear, if it weren't for my ears, I'd be smiling all the way around my head! I'm SO glad you liked what I sent. :oD
Comment: Anitra, this was a very fun swap from you ! The atc is great and the extras special but i think the best surprise was how you wrapped it. I will have to take time to do that too. It really made the whole fun mail reach a new high. I hope you have a great day because you made mine!
Comment: Thank you so much for the September surprises! I am going to see if I can wait and open them on the appropriate days! (Delayed gratification is not my strong suit, so we'll see-ha ha!) What a great idea to gift wrap them, wish I had thought of that! It makes it more exciting! What a coincidence that you will be in my neighborhood, just a few blocks away- small world! I will have some treats throughout the month, thanks to you! I appreciate your thoughtfulness! Happy Swapping! Karen
Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the package, and will picture you opening your goodies one....by....one, lol! I did think of you today when we were over there--really kind of fun just knowing a swap partner was so near!
Comment: Hi I received the recipe journal Monday. Im gonna have to copy the ones you put in they sound really good. Thank you for the bookmark I love it! I read alot. I've had to start a new book to hope we get both back!
Comment: Anita, So sorry I didn't rate you. This getting old thing is for the birds! I just got a reminder. Anyway, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Zentangle Z you sent. And the note-cards with my initial on them was an extra special treat! Thank you, so much for the time you took. LOVE your Coffee Pot People!
Response: I'm SO glad!! And that getting old thing...yeah. I'm awful, myself--old And ADD, lol. You'll get no flack from me!
Comment: Thank you for the zentangles. I can't decide which is my favorite. I like the patterns on both and the shapes you used for the "X"s so I DO like them both. I think they are both really cool lookin'. Good job!!!
Comment: Thank you for all the stickers and the Coffeepotpeople post cards Ive never seen cards like that Carolynne
Response: Glad you like the stickers and cards! The Coffee Pot People postcards are my own creation, so it's no wonder you haven't seen them, even if I do wish they were world famous, lol. Maybe someday, huh?
Comment: Many thanks for the lovely Granny square and the special envelope. I'm going to keep him as he is so beatyfull and yes he really matched with the colors of the square. Did you made him your self? He is really marvelous.
Many many thanks.
Response: I'm so glad you liked them both! Yes, I made the envie; doing those is one of my favorite things.
Comment: Thank you for the awesome zentangle and sorry for delayed rating...been busy with my new job and have been too tired lately to get on the computer but that's going to change as I am getting used to my new work schedule. ^_^ And happy to get something from a fellow crafter in my own town!! ^_^
Response: No worries--seems like I'm late with my own ratings all the time! And I can be so absentminded, I'm usually thinking, "I got a Rating? What did I send?" Anyway, I glad you liked the Zen!! (It IS cool to be 'neighbors', isn't it?)
Comment: Love it!! I thought it was a piece of fur when I first saw it!!! Thanks so much for joining the swap!!
Response: I'm so glad! I really had a hard time giving it up, lol. I've made myself another with a pompom yarn, but the fur is just c-a-l-l-i-n-gggg, so I guess I'll be making more. Thanks for doing the swap, cuz now I know how!
Comment: The Zentangle S you made for me was absolutely beautiful. A favorite in my collection. What are Coffee Pot People?
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I really do enjoy doing the Zens.
Coffee Pot People are characters made from old coffee pots. If you click on "my website" at the top of this page, you can see pictures of some. They're my peeps!
Comment: Thank you so much for the booklet and the extra cards! I love the designs you used, I've never seen most of them and they look so complex and fun to try! You inspired me to do more zentangles, thank you!!
Comment: I adore my card and see that it is your creation.. very nice.. thank you for my goodies on the inside..did you also make the butterflies? Everything was so cute.. thank you again.. LOVE THE CARD
Response: Thank you! I'm so glad! The butterflies: Yes, I did make them. I saw some at the craft store made similarly, and thought, "Why should I spend $5 on those? I'm gonna make my own!" I have a tutorial here, if you want to try them:
Comment: I think I'm the luckiest swapper in this swap. Your project was so wonderful. I will be using and enjoying this journal for a very long time! It is really stunning; you deserve many, many hearts! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Kathy
Response: Aw, Kathy, you made me cry! I'm so very glad you like it! (And I'm also laughing a little--now you know what I meant when I said I got started and just couldn't stop, lol!)
Comment: It is hard to do one design on a ATC. Two is not much better either...lol. Maybe by the time we get up to 4 or 5 it will be easier. Thanks so much for the goodies. Loved the coffeepot people card.
Comment: What a neat idea. Was it hard to crochet with jean strips? This will be cute with a jean jacket! I also love the fabric you wrapped it in, and the homemade card. :) Thanks!
Response: I'm so glad you like it! And it was really easy to crochet--just use a big needle and keep your stitches loose. Honestly? The hard part was doing the strips. Don't go narrower than 3/8-1/2 inch if you tear it, or they break, but cutting you can go as narrow as you like. Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Anitra~thank you for the felt swap. I'll admit I was confused by what you had made. My daughter happened to be here and wrapped it around her neck. (She tried to swipe it it I might add) Very interesting piece *in a very good way! I truly appreciate the patience it must have taken to make. Again, thank you!
Comment: Your pink purse is adorable. Wish there was a little girl in my word to use it I positively cannot figure out how you started with a cigar box? The two cloth napkins are cute as a bug also.
Response: Maybe you could use it as a little stash box? It only looks like it was hard to do. The purse is actually the shape of the cigar box, a wonderful oval shape with a hinged lid and magnetic closure a friend gave me! I was just wowed by it.
Comment: Your box canvas was not at all what I expected but was wonderful and fun! The shadow box was a natural; after all, we were using a box. I thought this was a very enjoyable canvas and swap and will be doing more box canvases. Thank you so much for the artwork and the extras. Kathy
Response: I'm so glad you like it, and the little extras! I truly had fun creating it. =^)
Comment: Wow, what a day at the mailbox. First off, great zentangle...love it. What beautiful postcards and cool swim dancers? Quirky...hehehe, you could call it that. Thank you so much for this swap, it was really amazing.
Response: YAY! I'm really getting into the Zentangles--so relaxing and satisfying. I'm delighted you liked what I sent. (The dancers really made me smile, too, thinking of quirky you!)
Comment: Wow! The bag is almost to fancy to use. ;o) Thanks for the patterns too. Talyn
Response: I'm so glad you like the bag and patterns. (I think if you're afraid to use it you should do something to dirty it up, lose a few sequins, etc. so it won't be so fancy.. Then it will use be, "Oh, this old thing?", lol!)
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful, extremely creative chunky row house! It was exciting, opening each page to see yet more lovely artwork. I too enjoyed the windows. Thank you for the nice note as well. We do indeed live close, at least to other swaps I send all over the country and world. :-) I used to have a friend who lived within blocks of you. Thanks again.
Response: Oh, YAY!! I'm so glad you like it! I am going to smile myself to sleep tonight. =o )
Comment: I loved, loved, loved the doll. The tassels remind me of pigtails and are so cute! Thank you very, very much. Two questions though. Did you paint the face? (Loved it.) Did you do make the squiggly, dangly on the bottom?
Thank you for the extra goodies!! Fabulous!!
Response: I'm so glad! Honestly, I just had the Best time making her, and can't wait to do another. Re Your Questions: I drew the face using an ink pen, and extra-fine sharpie, and then colored the features with fabric crayons. The squiggly dangle I got in a wire-wrapped charm swap, to which I added the bottom element.
I'm smiling so big, knowing you love the doll!
Comment: Anitra I just love Rebecca! Thank you for sharing your faux family with me. LOL Also your envelope was the best of the best in terms of fun in the mail box, excitement building due to the semi clear envelope and the interesting shape... then opening it finding the lovely atc and note plus the goodies... I love the fabric... i have become a dotee girl ..so already imagining a blue underwater ( it reminded me of coral ) mermaid bride or something regal... i love the other extras... the ribbon bit... where did that come from with the little guy on it? LOVE IT ALL!!!!!!!! yOU ARE WHAT SWAP BOT IS ALL ABOUT FOR ME!
Response: Oh, I'm so glad! I had such pleasure creating the ATC, and then stuffing the envelope with things I thought you might like. The bit of ribbon with the little guy on it I picked up recently at an estate sale. It had Swap-bot goodie written All over it.Thank you for a lovely comment. I'm all smiles, reading it!
Comment: Thank you for the two envelopes. I like the fabrics you used and the way you put them together. The note paper you included is very pretty and the letter was very nice. Thank you also for participating in the swap.
Comment: It makes a great spring bag-all those Eastery colors. It's ok that you didn't read my dislike of paler colors til after. It is definitely unique! Love the yellows and golds the best. the knots on the inside in all those colors is really awesome. Almost makes me think I should either make it so the backs of the knots are on the outside or simply do another one with the fabric you gave me, in this manner. Thanks for the fabric! And thank you for the really colorful bag :)
Comment: Wow! Love the details! You put a lot of effort and time into this spool! the bead/ wire work is too cool. And the felt pin inside was cute too. I tried the web site but it didn't work... Is that rubber stamped? Thanks so much!! jen
Comment: Oh, I new you must be from the West! I get to your town alot - have a daughter living there! You made this swap so very special! I absolutely love the scarf - you did see my color preferences - it's hanging on my inspiration board right now, but is at the ready for wearing. And I also love the glovettes! What a delightful surprise - you are a pro with your own label - fancy! Bless you for a indulgent package.
Response: I'm just very glad you liked it! Smiling big here.
Comment: Wow, Anitra! I was SO excited to open this, & I wasn't disappointed. The envelope itself is so radical & different & fun. Thanks too for all of the postcards (esp. the vintage one w/ old stamp!), & for the letter stickers. This was an amazing & thoughtful package. Take care. ;)
Comment: Received! Not only is it an irregular shape, it's 3D! I can't imagine how you cut those little circle springs. Tiny scissors? And thanks for the extra bits; have never made scrapbook ATCs before, but maybe now I can give it a try. Thank you very much!
Comment: WOW! I can't believe I am so lucky to receive your first Zentable. It is fabulous! I've very impressed and inspired by your work. I will save this one forever. Thank you.
Response: Oh, wow. I'm going to break my face smiling about this! I actually didn't do a second one cuz I thought, "Oh, dear. I don't think I'm going to be any good at this." Now I'll go back to it, thanks to your praise. And that I will keep in my heart forever.
Comment: Wow, it is absolutely beautiful and I love the details and the creative use of the cupcake papers, beads and pearls. This is amazing. Thank you so much. I will wear the earrings, they are very elegant.
Response: Smiling all the way across my face! So glad you like your chunky and the earrings!
Comment: thanks...love the ribbons and love the photo on the card. we should try to meet up ...i have been to the garlic festival and i invite you to check out the website for Art on a Lark where i learn most of my stuff. it's a great place in downtown hillsboro.....great teachers and great women artists. see if there is anything that strikes you and we can go from there. thanks again
Response: Wow, those got to you quickly! I just mailed them yesterday.
So glad you liked the ribbons and card!
Comment: I was worried about joining this swap because I have been burned so often before, but I am absolutely thrilled what you made for me. It's absolutely fantastic and totally my taste. Thank you so much.
Response: YAY!!! I'm so glad you like it. It was a pleasure to work on it, and try to incorporate the colors and style I hoped you'd enjoy receiving. Smiling hugely right now!
Comment: I really enjoyed this package! I love the necklace sooo much! You did a great job on it. I will post pics of it on me my flickr later when I put it on. I really love the things you sent! Lots of extras!
Comment: Thank you for your lovely magnet and little tags they have been handy. Where do you get the little clear packets for the ATC and things? I have got quite a few in swaps
Response: Hi, Nanna, and thanks so much! I'm so glad you liked them!
I got the sleeves on eBay. They're advertised as both sports card sleeves and ATC sleeves, so I'm thinking if you have a place nearby that sells baseball cards you could get them there, too. For larger sleeves, I go to Arvey Paper, here in town. I think they have a web presence, though.
Comment: heart heart heart!! thank you so much for the fabulous vintage bookmark, and goodies. Will you share your technique? I just got home from a trip with my sister, and found your card. So pleased... Merry Christmas, Anitra!
Response: Merry Christmas! It gives me a huge smile to know you liked the bookmark!
Technique: I got the image from an old cookbook, scanned it in, and printed it on textured paper. Then I used crayons to color parts of it. The backing I chose for its vintage look and the fact that it would fray easily, then unraveled some top and bottom. Sometimes I sew the back to the front, sometimes (if the fabric won't show it) I use glue, and sometimes (yours), I use double-sticky tape. Easy peasy! Hope you get pleasure from making some of your own! (And if you want, I can send you additional cooking strip jpgs--just PM me. =^D )
Comment: WOW! I love my package of goodies - Thank You!!! I love all the handmade gift tags and the ornament you made! I haven't tried making the candy ribbon ornaments before but now I'll have to give it a try - you've inspired me. Just beautiful!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the ornament, and want to try making your own! I have a tutorial for it on ThinkCrafts, if you'd like instructions:
Comment: Its a really cute ornament - thank you! I like the postcards too. Your coffee pot people are cute too. I'll have to to look at your blog. I used to live west of Portland - Beaverton and Tigard. My pottery is at Valley Arts in Forest Grove and Mossy Creek Pottery near Salishan.
Your magnets were awesome! Thank you so much for the tin and the large magnet too! I've always smashed my bottlecaps but now I think I'm going to try and make some your way they are really pretty. And I love your ceramics post card too. What a great way to start my evening after a rather crappy day at work!
Response: I'm so glad you liked them, and also that they gave you a lift when you needed it! Yay!
Comment: For starters: I LOVE the postcard! Oh my gosh! Where did you get it all customed like that? I love the button stickers! They are so cool! And I can't wait to use them on projects. The ribbons are pretty, and the Christmas stamp is hilarious! I can't wait to add that in to some cards! Than you so much for all of it!
Comment: I lvoe the color selections! Very Autumn-y (is that a word???). I didn't think about using contact paper (good idea). I used clear mailing labels to go over the seams. Thanks! have a great day! laura
Response: Lol, and I didn't think of clear mailing labels!
I'm really glad you liked the card!
Comment: Impressive! Thanks for the ATC. Its a keeper for sure :) That's great how you also add what techniques you used to create it too.
Response: I'm so glad you like it! I have to confess I put the techniques on because, to me, it looked too much like I'd just printed a picture, even though the Photoshopping part had taken quite a long time, lol,.But I do like it when others do that, because I learn new ways to do things, and as new as I am to the art form, I need all the hints I can get!
Comment: Awesome pc! Are the pics from other pcs or photos? I very much like it!! Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Glad you like it, Vicky! The pictures are actually from a book of prize-winning scenic photography, so while I hadn't actually bought postcards, I was pretty sure the photos had been turned into them.
Comment: Thanks so much for the goodies! I like the scrapbooking paper and stickers and the cute little card holders for the tea bags. I especially liked the rag rug instruction booklet, my grandmother used to make those when I was a little girl.
Response: Oh, that's so cool about the book! I'm really glad you like the goodies!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely towels and frames.
Response: I'm glad you like them, and hope you can use or regift them yourself. I thought the towels were adorable, but they just did not go with my kitchen at all, and I never took them out of the drawer after they were given to me. Hope they do go with yours!
Comment: Hi Anita,
I laughed so hard when I got your postcard. The hat is just perfect! Thank you, that card made my day. I love your Coffee Pot People! I have an etsy shop also, things are slow right now, have them been for you also? Thanks again for the great card!
Response: Hi, Sharon! Sorry to take so long to respond, but I'm still figuring Swap-Bot out and didn't actually realize I could until just now. =oP
I'm so glad you liked the postcard and it made you laugh!
Yes to Etsy's being slow, but I confess I've not been very active lately.
