Comment: Received your envelope today! You're right, the cadence is very different from what I am used to reading- but the story itself is what interests me! Thank you for sharing something so out of the norm with me! And it was so appreciated that you added previous reading suggestions as well! Happy Swapping!
Comment: Thank you so much for the "body machine" of the lion. Such an unusual and fascinating card. I'm giving you a heart for sending me something to ponder with your message. I love the card. Wishing you many happy swaps and many new friendships in the new year.
Comment: Sounds like you had quite the year... You probably went to more concerts than I have in the last five years! I definitely need to get our more haha. Adding go see a show to my New Years Resolutions list! Thank you
Comment: First, LOVE the gold envelope. So rich. I'm keeping it to cut up for other projects. I feel your passion for your topic. If I had to write about it I would probably go on and on, too. Thanks for your thoughts.
Comment: I just started opening the mail for the day and I opened your envelope and saw the first card in there and thought to myself "that's kind of ugly" and then I noticed what swap it was for and started laughing out loud. Job well done, I'd say!
Comment: Thanks for the cards! They were a few days late -- but I don't know if something came up and you had to mail them a few days late, or if you mailed them on time and just forgot to mark 'send.' Communication would help. :-) But since I don't know for sure, and they arrived within a reasonable amount of time (and I don't see signs of habitual lateness on your profile) I'm rating a '5.' Okay, now that that part's out of the way, I did like the cards... especially the clock! For choosing the cards randomly (as you wrote), your selections turned out to match my profile fairly well. :-)
Comment: Hello Teresa,
Thank you for the 4 postcards you sent me for this swap. All 4 postcards are to my great liking and will go into my Postcard Collection. You really hit my Postcard Fancy with these postcards.
Comment: Wow! I hit the jackpot! Thank you for all the lovely wonderful amazing NON-TOURISTY cards! I love them all. My absolute favorite is the rubber duckie giving all the baby duckies a ride on the yellow bike, Sooooo cute! Thank you very much--this was such fun to open.
Comment: Thank you for the very cute card and the recipe. I had to do a double take before I opened the envie. The post office never cancelled the stamp and I thought it was one that I missed sending out! = )
Comment: Hey Teresa thanks for the pretty card! It's cute:) and thanks for the gift box too:) we, my bf and I were looking for small packagings for our Christmas presents this year for friends and cannot fond the right size and your gift pack just gave us an idea and the size is just right too! Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family too! :)
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! I love the drawing of the conductor and orchestra! I have a friend who is a Violist in the symphony. So, I love going to classical music events. I love Chicago, I went there once. I went to the top of Sears Tower, before they built the observation deck. I need to get better at grocery shopping too, it can be so stressful! Smiles!
Comment: Cool Frankenstein postcard. I remember reading Frankenstein. I think I read it when I was in Denmark as an exchange student. I read tons of classics because I was bored during the winter (very long). It was tough reading, but worth it.
Comment: Very interesting postcard. Had not heard of Wildmont Lodge or Alexander Jackson Davis. Looked on Google to get more information. Found out the lodge (which was his home) no longer exists, but several homes which he did design (he was an architect) are still in existence. Thanks for sending such a beautiful postcard. Wish his home was still standing - it would have been beautiful to see.
Comment: Great PC -- at one time I drank a lot of vermouth, mixed with mineral water. (We were living in Sicily at the time!) And regarding temperature, believe it or not we are having humidity right now -- it's our "monsoon" season, with lots of rain. I miss Alaska! Thanks again and happy swapping!
Comment: OMG I got my swap package from you today and I was filled with smiles and giggles it felt like christmas and really made my day:)...Thank you so much for all the wonderful stuff, I love it all and will make good use of them, thanks for putting so much thought and care into it, I loved the magnets :):)
Comment: Hi Teresa! Thanks for the great postcard - it actually looks similar to one of the ones I sent someone else! Good luck with finding something to read, as I have a big pile of 'to read' books, and I've just registered at BookMooch.com to give away and receive more! Have a great day!
Comment: it's nice having you as my partner again, i enjoy the ad cards a lot, especially the ones with cats and the ones of sister-churches(Redemption and Revolultion), they're really art-y! thanks for this envelope full with surprises!! :)
Comment: I see you, too, are seduced by the wicked allure of Chronicle Books's postcard books! I hadn't seen this particular one (the whole book), and it's a doozy: love the design, but especially love the bizarrely beautiful color choices. Thanks!
Comment: Thanks for the great pc and def look into the library world. If you love books and/or knowledge then its the perfect place to be. I have volunteered or worked in libraries for about twenty years which is kind of crazzzzzy, but I love it
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard :) Would it make you feel a little better and say by far this new doctor is no way as good as David Tennant, sadly I am no longer glued to my sofa on a Saturday evening :(. But I hope when you finailly manage to see it you enjoy it so much more than I have, I think I probably had a bit of a soft spot for DT, that of course never helps :)
Comment: Thanks for the postcard! I wish you well on your journey regarding the "stuff" issue - I've been watching the shows on TV about hoarding, and think about it a lot, too - also because of all the resources used.
Comment: great postcards! I actually also have the same pack of postcards, but I hate using my good postcards to send people, I just love saving them! Now I have some doubles I don't mind sending out! Thanks a bunch!
Comment: I got your journal in the mail! Thank you for a pretty work of art! This is my first art journal so far. I haven't had time to read all the entries yet, but thank you, I am sure I will greatly enjoy the rest!
Comment: I will definitely have to check out both Boneshaker (love zombie books!) and Infidel (I've already read Smoke and Mirrors, so my taste probably aligns with yours). I've added them to my lists on paperbackswap.
Comment: Thank you for the supercute postcard!
My favourite part of our town is the old library and music school. They are very old and look very beautful. in front of them is a tiny little garden with a statue of a man playing the flute. As a kid I would always say hello to him, when I passed him ^^
I have spent most of my holidays in Ireland on a small island. But last year I went to England with one of my friends and hopefully I will go and see Amercia on day! If you have any more questions, please let me know!
Comment: Thanks so much for the goodies Teresa =) I really love everything (and I'm sure nothing will last long eh eh). Just a question about the coffee, which btw smells great, how do you make it? with a moka? filters? It was great to swap with you! I hope my package will reach you soon!
Response: oh--sorry-duh!!! most of us americans use a drip' coffee pot with filters and i forgot there's a whole world out there that doesn't--lol. it should work in a french press. after looking up 'moka,' um, sure? it's a coffee grind, not espresso, but i would imagine it would be ok... .
Comment: Thank you for the nice swap. The heart is for going to the trouble of finding the gorgeous Chinese New Year card. Awesome! My husband was particularly excited about the local Cherry Mash. He remembers it from his childhood and hasn't had it for many years. Thank you!
Response: you are very welcome! tell your husband if they are as good as he remembers, i'll be happy to send more.
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful package - I can't wait to put it to use (although the postcards are so nice, not sure I can part with them!). I love the pens - thanks for the tips as well. I haven't been on postcrossing.com long either but it is a lot of fun and I also am never quite sure what to write on them and be interesting!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard from the Library of Congress. I have actually been in this room, several years ago. The photo doesn't do it justice! The Library is just a very overwhelming place, and I hope you get to see it soon!
Comment: I really like the journal you sent! I don't like stairs without risers either...especially going down them. Makes me think someone is gonna grab my ankle from underneath. Too many scary movies, I suppose :)
Comment: Its kind of funny... The prices there are similar to the prices here except for some of the sushi prices! I'd think it would be cheaper here - practically right next to the ocean- than there. Thanks for the great menus!
Response: Sushi is an expensive habit, but oh so worth it! There's a grocery store, Sun Fresh in Westport, who does inexpensive, simple and delicious rolls.
Comment: Wow, thank you SO muh! My kids loved the octopuses, I the Reese's... Yummy! Patty was a bit flatty :) after the travel but tasted good. We'll try the orange (? :P) hot chocolate later...
Comment: Teresa, What a great postcard...I think my favorite Halloween Costume what one I made for Anthony one year he loved School Buses for some reason so I made him one for Halloween...it really turned out great and all the neighbors thought it was so wonderful they gave him extra treats! Thanks so much! Lynnie
Comment: Thank you so much for the assortment of candy. I found the package in my mailbox when I got home from work and it really made my day. My younger siblings came to visit me later that evening and it was really soon gone.
Comment: I got this today. Thanks! The chopsticks are so pretty! I'm rating you a 5 even though it was sent 2 weeks late, because it did meet requirements. Also, you DID let me know it was going to be late. However, I personally am not a fan of the "I'm just slacking off" excuse... But late sends are a huge pet peeve of mine... So I may be more particular than others...
Response: Nope~you have every right to be peeved! I slacked, plain and simple.
Comment: i'm giving you a heart b/c your friends are total jerks for drinking all your beer!! i think i've tried buffalo bill's pumpkin ale, but i'm not sure...i've definately seen it before! i hope you get to pick up more and enjoy it the next time around :)
Comment: What a journal and package! I've done a ton of these rounds and this is by far my favorite :) Reading about your life and all your interests was so much fun and I loved all your extras. I can't thank you enough for putting so much into this journal!
Comment: funny...you sent two PCs (one of which i got in the mail today) and then while going through some mail from earlier in the week i found a second one!) using the honey moon as a marinade sounds like a FABulous idea!!
Comment: I so love this postcard. My dad was stationed in Turkey and we went to Izmir. I believe we saw this it looks vaguely familiar but we saw so many ruins to a 5 year old I think they all look the same :) I will have to ask my mother. At any rate it brought a smile to my face and faint memories
Comment: 6/8/09: Thank you for PMing me back, and I will change this when I receive the swap... 6/10/09: I can't pretend to ignore the fact that you have been signing up for and just sent other swaps while mine has been late for almost 3 weeks :[ ... Received on 6/19/08. I am changing your rating from 1 to 3. Thank you for the pretty journal!!!
Comment: Thank you for everything! I really like both pairs of chopsticks, the rest, and I like the design on the napkin.Funny thing is is that I work at a World Market here, so I recognized everything; I even sent out the same chopsticks as you! :)
Comment: oh what fun! lol. Like the commentary as much as the selections. Coppelia Project went into the cubicle gallery :) ( with commentary included, lol)
intrigued by what Mr Quinn has to say- saving it for lunch hour reading
Comment: Travel before you have kids - but go to the harder places where you can't take kids - like on a sailboat near some tropical islands, or rock climbing, etc. It is not hard to travel with kids - just totally different.
Comment: And you even sent the photo! Awesome! ^^ Sorry I thought I had rated sooner...! But I actually have been to Kansas City, Missouri before and was so surprised~ because I never saw any of those places you described! I did go to the most amazing steakplace in my life called the Hereford House...oh man...now I'm hungry...haha ^^ THANK YOU!
Comment: I loved your presentation--written on the little tickets. Great idea and fun to receive. I thought your memoirs were great, too. I especially liked "jeans, tee, hoodie: wear, wash, repeat" ♥
