Comment: Received your beautiful envelopes- thank you for extras and extra goodies. My fave are the accounting type of paper you used! Wow!
Very well made and very happy with your swap.
Thank you again:) have a wonderful day!
Comment: As I was thumbing through my collection of postcards and organizing them into themes, I realized this one was stuck to the back of another and I never rated you for this because I didn't see it!!
Sorry about that!!! Thank you so much!
Comment: Thanks for another card about a book I do not know but must find! Lily could almost be my daughter who was reading chapter books before kindergarten (causing many difficult times and unfortunate attitudes toward learning---I hate what schools did to my kids who entered them with a thrill and drive to learn, explore, and find out everything! I so wish I'd home schooled but at that time it was not common and and caused many legal problems. Anyway, she could have been Lily except that she loved softball and competitive swimming. Thanks for another great postcard--you ARE definitely sending cards I love finding in my mailbox!
Comment: Dawn--this looks like a book I'd enjoy adding to my collection of children's literature. Where to you find postcards like this one? I have no luck except a few at Dover Publishing online. Google searches also never get me far. I also lover the C.S. Lewis quote. It is quite interesting in that when he wife died so young, he was left to raise her son as his own, having little to no knowledge of how to take on the task. But he did it and we are the luckier to have his Chronicles of Narnia written for the boy, if my understanding is correct. Thanks for a great postcard swap!
Comment: Thank you for the card! It held up very well - actually I didn't even realize at first it was a handmade card not a shiny storebought one. Those stamps sure brought back some early childhood memories, ugh.
Comment: I don't mind at all at this is your 3rd time sending to me in recent weeks! I love the postcards you've been sending. Thanks so much for sending the striking sheep. I really want to read the story! Have a great weekend!
Comment: I wasn't sure which swap your envelope was for when I received it! That's how convinced I was that it was store-bought. Gorgeous work! Love it. :) I also have some of those postcards, but none from Turkey! Thank you!
Comment: Wow! What an awesome swap - Thank you so much. I can't wait to try those most interesting flavored teas! Love the names of them - Sounds yummy. And love the quotes and Love love love - Everything! Fabulous! And the mailing envelope you made is so beautiful. Thank you - Thank you. Happy day to you,
Comment: Dawn, I love the sheep and think I need to find this book as it sounds cute. My two "grands" are school agers so they would be old enough for all the details, and I'd love to see all of the illustrations as well as the whole story. Thanks for a cute card and for introducing me to a new children's book! Have a great weekend!
Comment: Many thanks for the envelope and the nice things inside...I particularly like the bookmark. I think the zentangling is printed? Lovely though...
I must add a PS here...I wrote the rating above last night when it was harder to see, but now in the light of day I can see that this work is original! I must say WOW, that is some dang fine work, way better than I would ever have the patience to do..! I apologize for any offence I may have given.
Comment: My sincerest apologies for the late rate. July-Sept were busy traveling months and somehow your postcard ended up at the bottom of a pile of junk mail! I love the "Library Lily" postcard. I love the storyline too! Thanks so much and please forgive me for the late rate.
Comment: Thanks so much! Your envelopes are very nice! I especially enjoyed the one you used for mailing. I appreciate your envelope suggestion - I like getting ideas. I started out doing envelope swaps and still make them from time to time. I should probably get back to it more often! Thanks again. :-)
Comment: thank you very much Dawn for the wonderful postcard/letter! I enjoyed reading your letter A LOT! Yes I did wonder about the adult colouring books but I know I will never get around to it so I'm settling on journaling. Hope you enjoy your autumn!
Comment: Thanks a lot for the Maine lighthouse card, Dawn-it's one I'd love to visit one day. Also, I hope you do read "How Green Was My Valley" - really a beautiful story. One of those books that is better than the movie, and in this case the movie won Best Picture Oscar!!
Comment: Thank you for the nice assortment of envelopes! I love the brown one that you doodled on in gel pens! I hadn't thought to do that to make them sparkly, that was a good idea! Thanks for the extra envies too! =)
Comment: Thanks for the extras. Nice bookmarks. None of them are duplicates. If you want to know which ones you have already sent me, just PM me. I always mark what I receive as well, as what I send, so I don't duplicate
Comment: I love the picture on this card! It is fabulous! How fun that you get all your grandkids everyday! I can understand that it would be exhausting though. I don't think I could do it! Thank you for the card!â¤ï¸
Comment: WE used to go to Mexico NY, lake Ontario to the apple orchards and I loved it there...My kids always said lets build a house here..We lived about 40 miles North of there...ther smell of Mac's and leaves burning take me right back to those years in NY in the fall....I love it....Nothing much on the florida beach reminds me of NY...but alot of NY people retire or vacation here so I get to hear the "accent"♥♥Thanks for the card and the memories......also loved Barbados!!!
Comment: Thank you so much for making my first recieved swap-bot package so special. I was actually giddy with excitement when it arrived. My boyfriend laughed at me. The atc was beautiful-looked so relaxing and peaceful. The stickers and note card were icing on the cake. Enjoy the rest of your day knowing that I am making a new binder to keep my atc's in, and your's will be first. Thanks again. Amanda (cabernetcontessa)
Comment: What fun to have a postcard showing flowers from your own yard. What a great gift your friend made for you. Thank you for sharing one with me! This PC is going on my "extra special received items" bulletin board.
Comment: Sorry for the late rating, thought I had already done it :) Thanks for the envelope, and don't worry about the tape-- it actually didn't take away from the quality :) Blue's my favorite color so I really loved getting this one! Thanks!
Comment: The envelope is beautiful and I have wanted to try the paper napkin transfer technique for awhile now. The back held up great, so I think the front would go through the mail system just fine without laminating it. This is such a beautiful envelope! Thank you for the cute postcards, I love them!
Comment: Thanks for the Gumby card. I do remember him as I was a kid back in the '50s. I don't know exactlly which day it arrived as I was out of town with Daughter and friends and we just got back and it was with the mail waiting on us.
Comment: Thanks, Dawn! I just recently made Emily's acquaintance when I rec'd some E.stationery from a SwapBot friend in Canada. And now an Emily PC! My first name is Emily and I have only one black cat. But I'd love to find some of these things to send to my family....
You have a great bio, loved your quotes!
Comment: wow, Dawn, I honestly don't know where to start! Thank you SO much for the wonderful package! I love everything you sent me.. the envelopes are beautiful and the extras are just lovely! The ATCs canvas paper is particularly appreciated since I'm just getting into ATC but I have difficulties to find supplies here in my country. Once again, thank you, it was a wonderful surprise :) xx Fab
Comment: Thank you for the "Indigo" zentangle. I love the patterns you chose.......very nice.
If only I had a marker that was labeled "indigo", my life and tangling with color would be much easier. =-)
I really appreciate the Indigo paint chip, stamps and paper goodies. Lots more hearts for you!
Comment: I love, love, love the collection of smashy goodness you sent to me. Everything is just wonderful and will be so much fun to junk up my journal with. These Dutch Boy paint chip cards are fab.. The lace ribbon I've been looking for, for a long time. Fanny Flint, haha, she will be fun to smash. The slide mounts I've never had and can't wait to pick out photos for them. Love all the stickers, and everything else. Thanks for the generous supply.
The other thing I wanted to say is that when I saw your name on the swap, I recognized you as a person who I got one of my very first swaps from in 2008. It was for a post card of goat on some steps next to a red barn door. I still love and cherish that special profile specific postcard and have it above my desk on my shelf of favorite swaps. I just thought that was so neat.
Comment: Hi Dawn, Thank You Very Much!!!! Your bookmarks came here to bring joy. I think its amazing creativity of the bookmark made of tea bag. Congratulations! I loved a lot the stamps, seals have never seen so beautiful. I'm very happy with your swap, I hope you keep in touch for any future swap. :) Welcomeee! Greetings from Brazil!
Comment: I really love this! Great job and thank you for the extra effort of incorporating my profile loves into the rolo too - so sweet! This is one of my favs and the ribbon weave is outstanding! Gorgeous zetangle envie enclosing a gorgeous profile based shamrock rolo - who could want for more? thank you so much - love it!!
Comment: OMG I dont know where you got the paper to make the Oijua Board envie but that TOTALLY rocked my socks :) Everybody that has seen it wants it but I refuse to even use it!!! I LOVE IT!! Thank you!! The green one and stickers were cute too :)
Comment: Thanks for the great zentangles.....I love that you did them over coffee and tea and named them such! love your envelope art too, always nice to get something other than plain white peeking out of my mailbox ;)
Comment: Heart, Heart, Heart!!!! OMG - this is the most creative swap! Thank you so much! I love it! I love your little capsules and how you put each little quote inside - wow, that's a lot of work :) And your label is so perfect. I appreciate how you took the time to look at my profile and tailored the swap to me! Your note has made me laugh - SO CLEVER! Again, thank you, THANK YOU! I'd give you 100 hearts if I could! (PS - are you a pharmacist?)
Comment: I love the coffee zine you sent & can't believe you were so down on yourself for thinking it not good enough; that's just nuts! ;) The coffee ring on the back page was v inspired. ;) Y'know, I'm one of those rare birds who's never finished a whole cup of coffee in her life, yet I adore the aroma of brewing beans. And to organise my quotes? I have 12 lists of 6-8 quotes each in Notes on my mobile phone. I have a notebook to write them into but I haven't done it!
Comment: Great swap Dawn, thank you so much for the extra sample, the address labels and the cute little envie template. And the coolest of envelopes. My post lady really wonders. Wish I could give more than one star.
Comment: Thank you! So ... the watercolor poppy/peony (I'm not good at flower ID) one ... oh my goodness ... now I want to use that for the "I Just Can't Part With this Notecard" swap! I had a notecard all picked out but I'm wavering. I LOVE this poppy/peony!
Comment: OH.. my mailbox is so happy... thank you! :) LOVE this return address labels.. oh my, how am I ever gonna use something so cute...lol... Thanks for everything... it was a fun package to open! ♥
Comment: Dawn, Kelley loved her items! She leaves me cute messages all around the house with the hello kitty sticky notes! And she's put her big sticker on her car ;) She recently had a traumatic experience and was THRILLED to see a rainbow envelope waiting for her when she got home! I loved this swap xx
Comment: Great cards and I appreciate the extra ones as well. Thank you. Even though it had issues with a post office (the envelope fell apart and arrived in an "I'm sorry" Post office bag), everything arrived intact I think. I got 7 note cards and a wee envelope template.
Comment: Thank you for the bookmarker it reminds me of my quilts with the stitching and all I love the envelope to. I didn't want to take the envelope apart so I read the poem by stretching the envelope open. Thanks again and Happy Swapping
Comment: Thank you for the cool pc. My daughter is obsessed with Elvis, needless to say the card now belongs to her! She is really funny... not sure where this Elvis thing started from (she's only 11). She told me,"I'm gonna just die mom if I don't get to Graceland!" Can you say drama queen!! LOL!
Comment: What a fabulous postcard themed for this book swap! I've never seen one a puzzle card before, it's pretty awesome! Thank you so much for sharing both the quote and card, that really made me smile and I'm going to have to take it around to show friends now, LOL!
Comment: These are so beautiful and so well done! Even the envelope you sent in was fantastic! Thank you so much for the whole package, I don't know where you pulled your materials from but I adore them all. Thank you again!
Comment: Interesting card, Dawn! I haven't had this particular combination before, but I like fried tofu and I like sushi rice (vinegared rice), so this might not be too bad! :) Have a great day! Jolene
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful tangled bookmark. I find it amazing how tangles can be the same, get with a little added something gives the tangle a different look. I also laminated the bookmarks I sent. Also, thank you for the postcards. No, I have not used them, but look forward to tangling on them. Did you buy the postcards locally or on-line? Again, thanks! Susan
Response: I bought them online from www.the2buds.com.
Although, now I don't see them selling the 3 X 5 size... just 4 X 6 and 5 X 7.
Comment: I loved both my bookmarks, and making two really went above and beyond. I think the bookmark made from the tea package is so unique I love it, and the stamps are very pretty and colorful. Thanks!
Comment: Thanks for the great envelope package. I loved everything. Greatly made bookmarks (one extra) and a nice Christmas postcard (which I love) Thank you also for the lovely envelope, were everything was sent in. It made my day.
Comment: Whn I was 15 I hiked the Grand Canyon on the Indian Havasupi Reservation side--we went down and stayed for several days--so the Grand Canyon has always been very special to me and I still remember it as a Highlight of my life, and I'm now 60! Thanks for the card and the memories-and by the way going down was fun but coming back up--oh gosh thought I'd die right there! ha!
Comment: What a nice surprise to find that lovely pkg in my mailbox! I loved the note cards and loved the pink stationery and envelope. Can't wait to surprise my friends with them all. Thanks so much, Dawn
Comment: Lovely, thank you!
(I had to add a little more when I looked at them again today... I just love the bookmarks (especially the chile peppers) and thanks for the state postcards, they are much appreciated!)
Comment: What a great technique! I am SO going to use this in the future! Here's another one you might enjoy (I have yet to try it myself): light an incense stick and do a controlled burn-out of designs on paper.
Comment: I love the elephant! It came perfectly intact. I had a note from the mail carrier in my box a few days ago but wasn't able to pick it up until today... it said Red Elephant as the serial number on the card... the guy at the post office was going to look it up on the computer but when he saw it, he said.... oh I know what this is. So perfect and cute and useful! Thanks!!
Comment: I love your zentangle postcard so much, zentangles are so fun. I'm curious though, what do you use for your postcard blanks, do they actually sell those to decorate or did you cut up a different type of paper. I'm always trying to find the perfect way to do it. I make postcards like its my job.
Response: That particular one was cut down poster board. I find it to be sturdier than just card stock.
Comment: Thank you for your most colorful card! When I turned it over from the writing side I let out a whoop of appreciation. Is it fabric, or paper? [I have temporarily lost it & am turning the house upside down in my search...] Cordially, Maggie Gary.
Response: it is a paper napkin transfer, I found a tutorial on you tube and have been
wanting to try it out.
Comment: Thanks so much for the postcard! #1 I love sushi and was actually looking to buy some sushi postcards today before the mail came with your postcard, and #2 Thanks so much for the recipe! It sounds delicious!
Comment: I love this card. How did you get the napkin down without wrinkles? Mine always wrinkle. The quote reminds me of another quote I read - (paraphrasing) I once dreamed I was a butterfly. Now I am a man. Or am I a butterfly dreaming I am a man?
Response: I ironed it before I even peeled the layers apart... then ironed it again when it was a single layer... maybe that helped?
Comment: Very awesome! great job, I've never heard of the bandana technique, but it looks cool, if that's your doodleing I'm in trouble :) I love the pressed leaves, amazing how little things can make your day! that was really nice of you to add the swap cards too, I always think about making some myself, have a great day and thank you! Tracy
Comment: Hi,thank you for the great selection of stickers.I am afraid you slipped throu the net so this is very late responce. It was a really lovelly selection with lots of effort put in and plenty of great stickers.all the best
Comment: Thanks, Dawn, for a PC of one of the most enigmatic paintings of all time -- just WHAT is going on with those two guys and the naked lady? I've always been curious and stood for some time in front of the real thing in the D'Orsey but came up with no answer.
Comment: cute cards & stickers - I like them all - thank you! My only complaint is that I had to pay 57 cents postage due to get this :(
Response: OMG! could you message me and let me know what happened?
That is like the whole total postage amount... was there any postage on it?... did it come off?... wasn't my return address on it? I'm stunned!
I'll be happy to send you something to make up for it.
Comment: You way above and beyond on this swap! THANK YOU so much! I LOVE the little swap cards you included! I also love the two bookmarkers! I just started reading two new books last night (couldn't decide on which to read first so reading both.) So they will both be put to good use! :)
Comment: That is really cool that you can still ride that train! Thanks for the great postcard and the message. I have a sister that lives in Naperville, Illinois. I don't know if that's even close to you or not? Anyway I just had to mention that.
Have a great night!
Comment: Awesome choices- they're all great, and a special thanks for the extra Romare Bearden card- Love it! No one has ever sent me anything to do with him or his art before- cool! (also my nearly 12 year old "spooky" girl thanks you for the Emily the Strange pc, which I allowed her to steal!;)
Comment: You mentioned that Rushmore looks odd and I agree. I think they used their version of 'photoshop' to cut out the heads from one pic and try to shrink them to fit the mountain shot on the card. Which doesn't quite work. It's quirky but fun and may find it's way into some altered art. Thanks!
Comment: I do love the tissue roses they put on those boxes. Are they trying to tell us something? Probably! Not enough runny noses, so find something else to ddo with them while they're clean, of course. Brenda
Comment: Hi - Thanxs o much for the BRE's. I especially LOVE the zentangle one, that's awesome !! I make them too and I know how long they take! Oh- and that Native American postcard is RIGHT up my alley! Thanx again, Pjay
Comment: Thank you so much for resend the package! :D:D:D I loved everything (the usedstamps, the partiture, the book page, etc!), great artsy images! And the envelope you used was beautiful! Greetings! xoxo
Comment: Thank you for the quote - I spent the weekend alone, and this quote really resonates - as much as I love my family and friends, is so important that we keep the 'inside alone' place alive. Spookily enough I recieved two quote cards today, both with quotes by Pearl Buck. Coincidence...?
Comment: These are the best envelopes I have ever received!! I especially love the map one and Hello Kitty one. I don't know where you got that paper but I love it and using a map was such a great idea!! On top of all that, you made them self-adhesive. I absolutely love them! Thank you for the extras, as well.
