Comment: Candace, thanks so much for the handcrafted card (so cute) and newsy note. Thanksgiving was ok (not my fav holiday--WAY too much work), and I don't get out and about for Black Friday (crowds aren't my thing). But I DO enjoy the Christmas holiday season. Hope your holidays are fabulous!
Comment: Sounds like my college years! I send to school for bar and restaurant management. One of my projects was to plan a six course dinner party with the paired wines! Thanks for being back some great memories!
Comment: Hi Candace! Thank you so much for the lovely handmade Thanksgiving card! I just love it! I am sorry you will be solo for Thanksgiving but what awesome alternative plans you have! Now don't you let that balloon fly away on purpose! LOL! Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you have a wonderful fun-filled day! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely handwritten Bible study answers. The stickers were an extra touch. I love the verse you had at the end about finding refuge under God's wing. Have a blessed day! Buffy
Comment: Mark 1:44 and Mark 5:20 have confused me in the past as well. I came to the conclusion that the Lord has his own time frame for things and in Mark 1:44, it wasn't yet time for others to hear of Jesus' miracles and that he was the Messiah, but that in 5:20, it was time. I'm no Biblical scholar, though! That's simply my view on it - which is why I started these studies... to learn from each other. :)
Comment: Candice...your envelope was 98% split open at the bottom. I’m not sure what all was inside but what I took out was -3- handmade envelopes and a plastic bag with a piece of ribbon in it. The post office did not try to secure it at all!
Response: Oh no! I had put 4 envies in the package. At least 99% of the contents arrived. I'm surprised the USPS did not put it in one of their plastic baggies with a note.
Comment: Thank you for your Bible study. I think I will read one chapter discussion per day as I want to take my time and absorb what you wrote. This is a very extensive study and it only covered a few chapters! Thank you and thank you for the cute notecard!!!!! Thanks again!!!
Comment: Great Punxsatawney Phil card. Some years back, the Wisconsin groundhog "Jimmy" was performing his duties on predicting the weather. The mayor held him up, so he could pretend that Jimmy was whispering in his ear, and Jimmy bit him, and wouldn't let go of his ear. Jimmy finally was persuaded to let go--I don't recall if the mayor had to get rabies shots or stitches. I always remember that Groundhog Day. Thanks for the card.
Comment: Thank you for your card. My heart goes out to you, our fur babies are so special to us, They are our family, they are our best friends, and we never get enough time with them. I know that this must be really hard, you are doing the best you can when you were putting them on the prescription kidney food. Hugs sent your way.💕🙏
Comment: Fun envelopes-really represents summer. Great idea for matching bookmarks-Love that idea for using up all the good paper scraps. Loved the old 10 cent stamp on the envelope, too! Thanks for sharing!
Comment: Love the giraffe PC! Is this your baby? Ha Ha! My boy is doing well, he's finally gained weight after he got down to 7 lbs due to his high thyroid... he has a little belly again! When I couldn't get him to eat I put out Braum's whip cream and treats all day, and he mostly ate that until his appetite came back. Then I had to slowly wean him off the treats!! And he gets a whole can of wet food every day! Thank you!
Comment: Super cute one you sent me!! I don't have the kit this one came from so it was a nice surprise. I have only been subscribing about 4 months now. I am giving thank you cards, boxes, and baskets all of the time at work LOL
Comment: This was a nice treat to find in the mail on a Monday! I am excited to get such a packed journal and look forward to more good reading. The presentation is wonderful with the ribbon tie and yes i saw the buttons already-my weakness. I share your pain about handling some swaps. Mostly I err on the side of generosity since it is suppose to be fun.
Comment: Thank you for the very cute notecard! I love the abstract pattern! Where do you even find notecards like those?? One stop shopping is never an option for me lol I always end up in stores I don’t even need to be in lol so don’t beat yourself up for it! Good luck in your search 😅
Response: If I remember correctly, I think I found them at Papyrus. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: Hi Candace! So sorry for the late rating. What an amazing study on Ruth. This was so SO very timely, as in the last two weeks, we just found out we are moving to South Charleston and I have been struggling to much, so I reviewed the study and I was so thankful to have received your notes! Thank you so much for such a wonderful swap!!
Response: Yay no more snow for you! I'm from WI myself. LOVE Charleston, best wishes on the move.
Comment: Oh, thats when you send your cat priority! If it fits, it ships! 7.5 miles is impressive. I'm working my way up to a challenging 10 mile bike trail. Hoping I can do it before the bikes go away for winter! Thanks for the letter. :D
Comment: Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry for the late rating, I just found your card while picking up my desk! Hope everything went well at the doctor's office! LOL, love the way you describe that doctor's visit. And will forever be calling myself a "domestic goddess" while cleaning. Hope your had a great time with your friends when they came to visit! Thank you!
Comment: Thank you for the happy little notecard Candace! Your story of not wanting to go to lunch after hiking 7 miles made me laugh and made me think of my husband. After we go to the gym together and work up a sweat he always wants to run errands after and then gets mad that I want to wait in the car LOL I don't want to "stink out" just like you hahaha!
Response: Ha-ha! At least we are being courteous to others around us :)
Comment: Love this pretty notecard. Thanks so much. Summers pretty hot in ga right now. Am coming up on my two year swapaversary I can’t get into the planner craze bc I know would only use once and be mad throwing out the stickers and planner lol. Good job on getting to gym more frequently.
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome letter! I’m taking Intro to Criminal Justice in the fall towards my degree. It’s an elective for me. I’m going for business and should graduate next year. I also have 4 cats and they are a handful! Hope you have an awesome day!!!
Comment: I use a sketch book that I line and decorate with mostly just pens and colored pencils. I'm no help with a planner recommendation, lol. Hope you found one you like! Sounds like you were having a lovely time with your friends, too! Thanks for sharing :D
Comment: I started going to school to become a paralegal! Unfortunately, I ran out of money, but I always thought it would be a fun job. I hope to go back some day. I hope you enjoy your visitors - thanks for the letter!
Comment: That was a very pretty notecard. Interesting observations about the royal wedding. I wish that I could have been a fly on the wall during the ceremony and listened to the comments from Fergie's daughters and Camilla. What a beautidul dress and her mother was the classiest of them all!!!
Comment: You make so much sense on this subject! I don't know much about hosting but I do know if it's supposed to be USA only, it had better be USA only! The postage costs are way different once you start shipping out of your own country.
Comment: Sounds like you had a very productive weekend indeed! I've been through your town many times - years ago. Used to live in Liberty Hill, SC . . . so going to a "real" town often meant driving clear up to Charlotte. The notecard was great too (cute & green). I'm browsing the company's website now :-) Thanks so much!
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing with me! Have a blessed day! Thank you so much for the beautiful prayer of encouragement . I hope it is okay with you if I share this with my First Place 4 Health group. It is a Bible study and weight loss group and we all need encouragement when the going gets tough.
Comment: Thank you for your answers - the envelope was torn & some of your letter & the PO placed it in a bag- maybe tape all around the sides, I have found I need to always do that for mailing - seems they take a "rough" travel trip. :)
Comment: Hi Candace! It was fun to swap with you again and get an update on your BC! Did the ones that read the book, like it? I did not expect that twist!! Her books always seem to be like that! Did the others not read it due to not liking it or not getting the book in time? I am running into that this time - I have three folks in front of me on getting the book and BC is in two more weeks - yikes! So does the cat not like going to the vet? Poor thing! Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for the share! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Yes, the ones that read the book enjoyed it; our group always has new members, so sometimes the new ladies come without reading the book simply to meet the other members to see if we are a good fit for them. My cat and vets in general do not get along - sounds like 6 cats fighting in the exam room! Meow! Hope you get the book in time!
Comment: Hi Candace, thank you for your answers to the bible knowledge questions. Like you I am not that great with knowledge either but at least I am learning more from the bible when i do these swaps. God bless, Karen.
Comment: Thank you so much! I am drinking my mint tea right now (love it) :-) I love the note card, so cute, and I enjoyed your message. I hope you have a lovely time in Florida, Happy Birthday to your friend!! :-)
Comment: I always find it funny how cats - my cat included - always play with the strangest things! My Samson won't TOUCH any of his toys.. but give him a hair band or a piece of string and he's happy as a clam :P
Comment: Both of your cards arrived today [we are having some serious delays due to the weather]! I see that I am not the only one with an addiction/affinity for notecards from Marshall's/TJ Maxx/Home Goods! Love it!
Comment: I love the llama notecard, so sassy! I look forward to enjoying the teas as well! I am not bilingual however I do know just a little bit of French! Je parle francais un peu! Thank you for a great swap!
Comment: Hey Candace, funny being partners in swap bot :) I was glad to hear from you again. thank you for your beautiful card.I didn't know Rev Billy Graham but I looked on the internet ;)
I hope to receive a letter from you soon.
Have a nice day
Comment: Can’t go wrong with chocolate now can you. My husband gets me moonstruck candy. Made in Oregon. Like 20 bucks for 6 pieces. I only get it on special occasion. In fact, I think I will go have one now!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card! I hope you had fun at the card making class! I'm not a football fan, so I didn't watch the superbowl. But I did watch Justin Timberlake's performance there on youtube! He sure is a fantastic entertainer. If you like spooky shows, Stranger things on netflix is really good! But if not, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schimdt is a really hilarious and lighthearted show that I enjoy :)
Comment: Hello! I’m sorry to hear that last weekend was a washout. But I’m glad to hear that you made the best of it with your laptop cat. My own cats always find ways of bringing a smile to my face too. Have a wonderful time in Florida this April. And lastly, I hope you have good coming weekend!
Comment: I started reading your letter and thought oh she didn't realize it was me. Than I saw you knew. You still shared things that were new to me. I love the cute stationary. Oh the tea will be so good too! I will write soon!
Response: LOL!! I guess I should try to be less efficient :)
Comment: Thank you for the cute homemade card. My card making is simple. I like to use cut up newspaper, colorful tissue boxes, card stock, and ribbon. You did a good job on your card. Thank you for joining the Bible study swap. I will pray that you find a church. My husband and I go to Calvary Chapel. I have a Chronological Bible also. I am reading it at my own pace. I want to really understand what I'm reading. I have never read the entire Bible in a year. Keep reading it and you're faith will grow.
Comment: Candace, thank you for the adorable note card. I am glad you enjoyed the Lutheran Church service. Although our pastor has never done anything like that, I'm going to put a bee in his bonnet and suggest it. Happy New Year! Shirley
Response: I hope your pastor agrees to the idea! It was actually a lot of fun, now I'm checking out the clearance racks for some holiday pjs myself!
Comment: Hi Candace, Thanks for the mail tag swap. I enjoyed reading your information. It's very festive with the Santa stationery. Thank you! Merry Christmas (PS - I am also a first generation college graduate in my family). Cheers!
Comment: Greetings and thank you for the darling animals card. I know what you mean on those gingerbread houses. In Belleville near by, they have a gingerbread show each year down Main Street in the store front windows.
And a double thank you for the personal touch of taking the time to write a greeting in the card. Makes the swap all that more personal.
Comment: I love the Uncle Bob story! I still remember when my aunt's brother dressed up as Santa for us. He wasn't very convincing either, but we wanted a present so my sister and I went with it. Have a wonderful holiday season!
Comment: Hi Candace! Please forgive the late rating. I just loved the card you made for me! All the washi styles matched beautifully and your technique is flawless. In fact, I have the card on my craft table to inspire me to make more of my own! Thank you so much.
Response: I'm glad it arrived safely! Thank you for rating!
Comment: That is too funny about uncle Bob. Where we used to live the firemen would do that job for a donation, we've used them a couple of times and they are great.
I love the little sticker stamps to put on your card, they are super cute and I like the card.
Comment: Candace, thank you so much for the sweet card! I loved the story about Uncle Bob dressing up as Santa :) I remember my Uncle Pete did the same thing many years ago... he had a scraggly brown beard at the time and was as skinny as a twig. He dressed up as 'Aussie Santa' in board shorts, flip-flops and a tank top, and my sister and I knew it wasn't Real Santa! However we were laughing so hard at his outfit that we couldn't say so! Brings back some fantastic Christmas memories with family and friends... Happy holidays to you and best wishes for 2018! From Sophie
Comment: I LOVE the card to sent me! I'm a Stampin' Up! girl too and I adore making Paper Pumpkin kits! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you too!
(I am trying to bring students to France this summer!)
Comment: Hello Candace, please let Carter know that we are passing along his letter and request to Santa, and are hoping for the best - Santa says it's good you started early this year, as not everything is readily available at Santa's headquarters ... what a lucky kitty Carter is to have his own personal stationery AND personal secretary, too!
Comment: loved the card <3 and my major choice had been a very very long journey. it was the perfect mix of art and the STEM fields. healthcare admin is amazing btw, my mom is doing that now and she adores it.
Comment: Candace, glad u made it out of the maze. I remember taking my GS troop one year and we all went different ways to see who would make it out first. We all made it out except 2 girls who apparently went around in circles because we had to wait an extra 45 minutes and the other girls werent very happy because we were all starving and then because we were so late, I got a speeding ticket on the way home (11 miles over 61 in a 50) I just kept thinking of the parents at the pickup spot! The girls loved to bring that up for the next 5 years!
Response: At least you can say your experience was certainly memorable! Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Sorry for the delay in the rating, I just moved and had to get settled in. I would love to visit San Diego one day. I am hoping my husband can get orders there at some point in his Naval career. Best wishes!
Comment: Hi Candace! Thanks for the awesome share about the museum - it sounds very interesting! Thanks for not preaching either - LOL! I really am just kidding on that one! The story about Nixon was great! Hope you have as much fun this weekend! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thanks so much for the wonderful envelope full of beautiful butterflies 🦋 ! I can never have enough stationary. Stationary with butterflies is even more awesome. Thanks for brightening my day!
Comment: Thank you so much for your leaflet, I enjoyed reading it. It will definitely be somewhere we will visit when we eventually visit North Carolina it's on the bucket list!
I've set you some info about where I live .
Comment: Hi Candace! A glass of wine a a mani/pedi would be amazing right now! I usually try to hit up my CrossFit gym for some heavy lifting and cardio - can't think about stress when you're trying not to die! LOL! Hope things get lighter for you at work soon!!
Comment: Yes, it was a fast move! I had been in the works for a while, but finalized very, very quickly. I'm already at my new job for over a week now. Thank you for the card, I wonder if the Renfrow of the hardware store is related to the Renfrow of the socks up in "Mayberry".
Response: I have no idea! I'll have to ask next time I go to the hardware store!
Comment: I'm glad to hear you were safe and unharmed. And I liked your story about your cat. My dog freaks out when neighbor cats run through our backyard. It's hilarious watching him attack the sliding glass door.
Comment: 10 partners is a bit much. I might do a 10-partner round some day though. Thanks for the congrats :) It's been a struggle, but I feel best when I eat well and try to get up and moving! Cheers to you for working on your health and wellness goals!
Comment: I'm only an honorary Cheesehead. I grew up across the border in Minnesota and moved here to be with my husband 5 years ago. So I didn't escape--I volunteered. Haha! Good luck with your Thanksgiving travels and thanks for the card.
Comment: Hello Candace~ Thank you so much for welcoming me and for the notecard I just love it. Yes, I love swap-bot too! I am a very curious person and want to try everything. I think that's what so appealing to me . . . . the variety! And I just want to encourage you . . . you do not have to be talented . . . just do it with heart and it will be enough :) Good luck with your class the end of September and I hope we swap again in the future.
Comment: I am thinking I need to start thinking about making the 7 costumes for the grandbabies...lol. My obsession of late is postcards! I have collected some before but now I get to swap some too!!! And thanks for the washi tape!!!
Comment: Hi Candace! I hope this workweek has been better of course being off last Monday had to help!! LOL! Thank you for sharing about your fun weekend and retail therapy! Sometimes a gal needs some of that to make up for a crap week! Hope this weekend was a blast as well! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: hi Candace
Thanks for the swap email! The Orient Express is a classic, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'd recommend Ellery Queen and Josephine Tey if you'd like to explore more classics. Daughter of Time and Miss Pym Disposes are both great Tey works.
Comment: Love my PC! I'll have to go there now ðŸ˜
Response: Glad you liked it. We have a great little farmer's market on Saturday mornings from 8-12, everything sold there is made or grown within 50 miles - a couple doors down from the hardware store.
Comment: Goodness.. your struggle wasn't what I wrote about.. but I do understand. My 10 year old and I had been on a regular walk/run routine that was derailed last summer.. We havent replaced it with anything :( I wish you luck !
Comment: Thanks for telling me about "The Marvelous Misadventures of Ingrid Winter." Since you're halfway through and still not sure if you like it, and since I ALWAYS have a stack of books I want to read, I will probably not add this to my "must read' list. :) Happy Swapping! ~Jen
Comment: I'd like to learn how to knit, too! I did it one summer when I was nine, but lost the project on a trip and never went back to it. I could actually do that, but crochet is beyond me! Thanks for the letter! 😀
Comment: I am rating a 5 - Swap may have gotten lost in mail. User contacted me stating sent - and her previous rankings would not suggest otherwise. Just send me something when you can Candace. Derrick
Response: Thank you so much! I'll send something out today!
Comment: Hi candace, sorry for rating late (your card somehow got put in a pile of bills etc)! Anyway thank you for the card and the description of the book. It actually sounds really interesting so I might check it out. I also really love the little thought card you sent! So cute.
Comment: Candace, thank you for the gorgeous card and the lovely quote that came with it! Sounds like you had a relaxing weekend- shame you missed the manicurist!! :) I do have penpals and like you I am also new to this, but I am enjoying it so far. It's nice to sit down and put pen to paper and I'm always open to new pen pals. Thank you for your lovely card- hope this weekend is another good one for you! xxx
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful goodies you sent Candace! I appreciate them all, and I especially LOVE the rub on transfers and travel bookmarks...Do you listen to Rick Steve's podcast? It's GREAT! I get a lot of insight and am so inspired by the show. It's the next best thing to actually traveling...Thanks again, and GO PACK GO! I am a Packers fan too by the way.
Response: I listen to Rick's podcasts once in while, it has made my bucket list is really long! I wish I could travel the world!
Comment: Thank you for the great skull PC. I love it! I would love to see it in person. We did not make it to the 💯 the anniversary of Harley Davidson. My husband isn't riding as much as he used to. I don't like to ride in the heat and summer is very hot in Oklahoma.
