Comment: Hello, thanks for traveling postcard; I'll be able to send it on its journey forward this round. Great to hear you're a spinner. I was, too, back in the day; but alas, my two spinning wheels are in the garage awaiting future projects. Finally, a special thank you for the sheet of handmade paper. I love that you've embedded Hindi script newspaper. Thanks for a Good Mail Day!
Comment: Thank you for the post card. Is that you surfing??? Yes, right now, I am in my flannel PJ and it's 5 pm. I live in AZ and the air conditioning is always one. Your wrap knits sideways?? I have never heard of that.
Comment: Hi Wendy! How nice to be partners again! I do love these swaps and have gotten several pcs back - always love when that happens but I have way more floating around out there in mail land! LOL! Thank you for the wonderful paper that you made - that was so sweet of you to send me a piece! Wishing you all the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you! I will pass it on.
Also Thank you for the postcard of your hometown. My Uncle lives Cabool, MO. Is that close to you?
Response: I had to look up Cabool- it's about 5 hours SE from me, it's in the Ozarks and I'm on the Missouri River, just across from Kansas. Cabool is near the place (Mansfield) where Laura Ingells Wilder wrote her Little House books, tho! I've been there, it's a museum now.
Comment: This card is so cool! I love the dog, hahaha. Can't wait to show this to my law enforcement family. :):):) That's so fascinating about all the trails converging in your area! I was born in MO, on the AFB in Knob Noster. Can't remember if I already said that. The women who originally headed west were such tough badasses. I like looking at old books of recipes that tell how they did all their cooking and preparing. Happy Fall THANKS! :):):)
Comment: SORRY SORRY I rated the wrong partner in this swap.... Your PC arrived the 25th of September....
Thanks for your funny PC with the cougar.
In the Netherlands we almost have no original wild nature. It sounds very sad, but we are very proud we extended our country.
We have a proverb: God created the earth, but the Dutch created the Netherlands.
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful card
My first thought was why is there a sticker on the back of the card, in the middle of the writing. Was the mailman being funny 😄
Then I felt that there was something behind. I love this idea... going to copie that.
Response: I'm glad that you removed the sticker and found the surprise haha! Usually I use a simple piece of paper, but that sticker wasn't "sticky" anymore, so I could use it. It's fun to get a little treat as a surprise, itsn't it? Thanks for the heart!
Comment: The forwarded post is here safe and sound. I will pass it on. Yes the kids are bi-lingual. I'm impressed with them because they also know Albanian. Thank you for your note and the extra that you sent. have a lovely day
Comment: Hello Wendy -- thanks for the card of the armadillo. Not sure I've ever seen a live one, but driving through Oklahoma one summer, I sure saw plenty who had not survived encounters with traffic. :) Best to you and your bees! Al
Comment: Lovely extra pc for me to keep. Thank-you! Enjoy Spring. Update. I thought i added the heart, but didn't , so updated the rating. I have no computer right now and doing this on my phone is a slow-go.
Response: Thank you for the heart, you're kind to go to the extra effort. All the best to you!
Comment: I really love your Christmas Card! Really beautiful and it melts my heart that it's made just for me. I'm wishing you luck with the yarn and your garden. I like knitting too, but mostly gloves and scarfs. I have never done sweaters. Wishing you great 2019 too
Comment: Card is crinkled, but love seeing home of Mark Twain. Was home only small house on right,or both buildings? Who has not read Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn? I would love to go there. Thanks! I have seen home in Hartford, Ct.
Comment: I love this card so much! There is a book of Oscar Wilde's life that I want to read, but have not yet. Thanksgiving was wonderful, thanks for the well wishes. No snow here, but it was quite cold when we went for a walk. My visitors from MI were very pouty that they were promised warmer weather than up north. Your marshmallows sound delicious and the image of your bees and chickens made me feel the coziness all the way at my house. Happy holidays! :):):)
Comment: Hi, Wendy, received the PCs to forward. I have yet to receive one of my traveling PCs yet but am looking forward to it. I’ll check out the website you recommended ...sounds like a great adventure. Thanks so much for the stamps, I always enjoy receiving stamps. ❤️
Comment: Very interesting , you sound like you had a interesting childhood, WHAT SEATBELTS? Ha ha wasn't wonderful to grow up in the times we did? No electronics, just fun we made ourselves, great memories.
Comment: Hej 'Weaver,
I cannot believe it took so long to get here! Must have been on a grand tour...if only they could talk.
Cool pooch. My daughter, of course, had to ask why someone would put a kerchief on a dog.
Comment: You and I have something in common, we are "not makers any more". Getting rid is liberating and moving on the the next "me" feels wonderful. A year ago, I started giving away craft stuff galore, it's so freeing, though, some people are puzzled, I'm finding the new "me". You are a "maker", you're making wildlife have a better tomorrow while making a new life for yourself. Keep up the good work, our world needs you. I really enjoyed your letter and the stickers are great, thank you.
Response: Thank you so much for the understanding :- ) I hope you're finding your new "me", and you're right, it is liberating to undergo the search rather than remain in a mold cast years ago. Enjoy!
Comment: Good idea for your card! I was still pondering what to do when yours arrived. I am so glad you sent early - made it easier to make up my mind on what to do! Thanks for the card - and thanks for the owl stickers - very cute. Have a wonderful holiday season!
Response: Thank you, I'm glad the card has such a good home LOL . Merry Christmas!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cool PC! My step-mother gave my sister a perm when she was younger and she looked a little like this doggie. LOL! She still talks about how much she hated that perm.
Response: LOL! I got a perm once, and my 4 year old daughter would not be seen in public with me until I put on a hat!
Thank you for the heart :- )
Comment: Not only does your card satisfy my penchant for B&W photography and both hands and eyes as motifs, but it's right up my quirky little alley! Thank you very much for finding a card that so perfectly matched my profile. Love it!
Response: Yay, that's great- happy that you are pleased with the card. It's one of my favs :- ) . Thank you for the heart.
Comment: Faberdoylie the Gnome is a great addition to our family. We are so thankful for such a talented gardener to advise us on the proper care of Brussels sprouts and how to prepare root vegetable soup. Hopefully Faberdoylie can stick around and introduce us to the greater gnome family! Thanks so much for a funderful and surprendous swap :)
Response: We already miss him, but we're glad he has found such a happy northern home. With luck, his travel crate held him safely thru the mail. Happy Winter!
Comment: Thanks so much Wendy. I think I messed up because I sent a new postcard to my partner and now I'm not sure if I send this one to her too. Will find out! But thanks for all the extras - I love raccoons too!! (:
Comment: It was a nice postcard and a nice note, but it did not follow the specifications of the swap: "Include your username, swap name and a few short lines to your partner about Swapbot." There was a lot about NYC, but nothing about Swapbot.
To answer your question: no, I live in Rockland County which is to the north and west of NYC (but I did live in the city from 15-35).
Comment: Enjoyed reading your mail! Thanks for the nice words. I did went to uni in Seattle so I guess I picked up the language there on top of both my parents were English teachers!!! Thanks for the cat stickers! Have a great summer!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely bird postcard :) I have not read that book series, but I've heard of the author. I will look for it when I go to the library today! Sounds like those fur babies are keeping you busy, but I imagine it is fun to watch them grow and play :) Happy Swapping!
Comment: According to Wikipedia: [Flin Flan]'s name is taken from the lead character in a paperback novel, The Sunless City by J. E. Preston Muddock. Josiah Flintabbatey Flonatin piloted a submarine through a bottomless lake where he passed into a strange underground world through a hole lined with gold.
Now you know!
Response: Wow, thanks! That sounds like a Finnish version of Jules Verne.... must find a copy of the Sunless City....
Comment: Hi Wendy! Love your pc and I love most music so bring on the ragtime! Wow, you have been super visit with the beds - veggie, flower or combo? The hubby has a large veggie garden and also does some container gardening - got our first green pepper and cucumber yesterday! Whoop, whoop! Thanks for the fun share! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Glad you liked the pc! I have a tomato/green pepper bed, the rest is flowers and general landscaping. I'm trying Preen this year, to reduce the sprouting weeds...
Comment: Canton, NY is only10-15 miles away. I'm there several times a week. It's a small world isn't it. You should come visit sometime. :)
Response: Amazing! When my mom passes on, she has asked to be taken to Canton and some of her ashes placed on her parent's graves in the Evergreen Cemetery. So, eventually, I will go there. And I have a cousin who is still there- I remember the pine trees...
Thanks for your reply!
Comment: Thank you so much for the beautiful postcard of white-tailed deer, they are beautiful ... and I think caring for raccoon babies is a wonderful job, and it must be very difficult to let them go when it is time, it must be impossible not to love them for a lifetime ... you are very lucky and at the same time a beautiful person...
A hug from Chile
Response: Thank you! Yes, it is difficult to let them go and I worry that you are getting enough to eat!
Comment: This postcard is awesome...thanks!!! You definitely have a challenging cooking experience ahead of you! 😄 Unfortunately the post office blocked out the last few words with one of their lovely bar codes, but I got the gist. Enjoy your holiday!! Cheers, Theresa
Comment: Wendy I am sorry my rating is late. Thank you so much for your letter, I very much enjoyed it! You are going to love being a grandmother as it is the best thing ever! Our summer was that hot too and I too let everything go! Raccoons ~ how cool! That is awesome you will have your family for Thanksgiving, hope it's a blessed one! Enjoy that baby!! XO Thank you again!! Kelly
Comment: Thank you for the great card and note. I have seen that Yarn Shop in Lawrence but I haven't shopped there. I don't go there very often. Doesn't seem like it is time for the holidays this year has seemed to just fly by.
Comment: Hi Wendy! Thanks for the very nice letter and the ATC! I love them both very much! I loved hearing about your garden and the beekeeping. I would love to hear more about that. Keep me posted on it!
Comment: First, thank you so much for your patience with my rating! Those sure are cute postcards that one from Norway is so cool and that was so sweet of you to give me an Alice in Wonderland one it's really neat! Cute Pinocchio notepaper, too 😀
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard! It was great finding out a little bit about you, some of your hobbies seem so interesting, especially the dog hair spinning and the raccoons :) Best wishes and happy swapping
Comment: Hi Wendy! Thanks for the great share and you are right, I think your day was very different! LOL! Hope those baby raccoons are doing great - it is wonderful that you are helping them out! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Cute Post Card - I'd never try to put clothes on a kitten or cat. That is wonderful that you work at your local no-kill shelter. You are awesome!!!! It has to be hard not to adopt a cat or two! take care, darla
Comment: Loved your card, Wendy! Very interesting life you lead! I love the idea of a pollinator garden! I don't have much of a green thumb, but I have been trying to keep pesticides out of my back yard and to plant vegetation that will attract birds and butterflies. I wish you a lot of success with the beekeeping! I'd be a little hesitant to do that for obvious reasons! :-) Happy Swapping and I hope Spring comes soon! Valerie
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard from Hong Kong! Love cards that show a lot of culture, it's really lovely. and Thank you for sharing a card that was a gift to you :) I hope your daughter had an amazing trip to Thailand, I have always dreamed of traveling there. Also, hope you have a wonderful and healthy 2016!
Response: Thank you for your kind words, I'm very glad that you enjoyed your card! I hope she brings me some pc's from Bankok..
Comment: I am not ready for summer to be over but they are calling for snow flurries this week-end. My dog loves chasing the blowing leaves in the yard. She was a trooper last winter climbing up on the snow piles on either side of the driveway with ease. I hope she is as good this winter.
Response: That sounds like a lot of snow last year- our driveway is long and steep and snow removal takes a lot of time and work Our dogs rather stay in and watch!
Comment: Thanks for the weird card! I have a friend who I think gets those Moomin toy calendars every year. I think he gets irritated that I always refer to the Moomintrolls as hippos! Beautiful goldfish sticker on your card, thanks again.
Response: Haha! Yes, Moomins look like hippos :- ) I'm glad you enjoyed the card, thanks for the heart
Comment: Thank you for the extra PC (what an intriguing image! Looks like Our Gang at a Halloween party!)and the lovely card! Your job sounds interesting too, and challenging! Good luck with the raccoon babies!
Comment: Argh! "Give me a big nother piece of cake!" Sorry, I was born in the last century, I can't handle that. Kids these days :p Thank you for your postcard and your language-related message, though!
Comment: Yum! I went to the gym and took the kool-aid with me. I so wish we had them here. And a double yum for those Nerds (the box is so big I just HAVE to share..a couple). And those cookies just inspired me to make Chocolate chip cookie sandwiches. Oooh, the sun is shinning bright -just the perfect weather for some cold, sweet treats. Thank you very much. :3
Response: You are very welcome! Thank goodness that the box did finally arrive at your home. It was a fun swap!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard. Like the stickers you used. We have gotten a lot of rain here over the last 6 weeks. We did not have flooding where I live. As a matter of fact, after not having rain for over a week now, things are drying out and I could use some more. :)
Comment: Hi Wendy, thanks for the cool art card showing Woodruff's "Poor Man's Cotton." He is an artist I am not familiar with so thank you for the introduction! I have not been to the renaissance festival in KC, but it sounds like you have lots of fun there! Handspinning, now that sounds interesting. Do you have pictures posted anywhere? Have a great week, Cynthia
Comment: Hello Wendy & thank you for the postcard view showing a landscape watercolor by Wm T. Richards. Yes, a Feb view of the land & water - & what a watercolor! Its the details in the rocks (look rough & cold,) the vegetation (color changed by season & the cold, tiny figures of people & boats. Really interesting postcard for me to see. Thank you!
Response: I'm so happy you enjoyed it too- i love the emotion that is possible with watercolor. It was beautifully done, and felt right for a Feb swap to me.
Comment: You made my day! Adorable envelopes AND bonus zentangles. I have been hoping that someone would send me one, I truly appreciate you sharing. I've been completely intrigued as to what these are but had never seen one in person. You are the best!
Response: I'm so happy you were pleased! I like to draw zentangles while watching tv with my husband, relaxed and unhurried. Thank you for the heart!
Comment: I'm excited to be the one to send a card home...all the way to S. Australia! Thank you for the nice note card and making this extra special for me by adding most of the postage. For this, you've earned your heart. I hope your mailbox overflows with many happy surprises and that you make many new s-b friendships in 2015.
Comment: Hi Wendy! Thank for the fun Christmas card and for sharing about your Christmas! How wonderful that everyone could make it home for the holidays, sure makes them extra special! I hope the weather holds out for your trip next month! Happy New Year, Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Thank you for the great b&w view of the Notre Dame gargoyle in the mist. I went to Paris for the first time in the 1970's too & subsequent visits have never been as good. So I understand your desire to not "mess up your memories". I feel the same way about a lot of places.
Comment: I love love the alive in wonderland postcard! Never have seen one like it! Oh my how I love all the hidden objects in her hair!! Thank you! Have a wonderful holiday season with your parents! Best wishes!
Comment: Thank you! Beautiful card :) And to your questions: YES, it's sooo lovely to see finally some sunlight after a long and dark winter! I don't have a garden here but at my parents' we have a huge yard and lots of flowers and everything :) Lovely spring and summer to you!
Comment: Thank you Wendy for the large Easter card for the swap. Cute card of smiling dog wearing bunny ears! I will put your card on display in my apt. Also, thank you for the extras. You made some printings on heavy paper I can use to make art collages! Thank you for sharing!
Comment: <3 <3 <3 I. Am. Speechless!!! Nothing about this swap was "simple"! Thank you for this wonderful, generous, surprise of a swap from you. It all looks so yummy, and the kids loved the paddle balls you sent for them! Happy spring!
Response: Happy spring to you all too! I got it into the mail before April 1st cuz you said not to send chocolate from April on :- } You deserve it all, for the great swaps I've enjoyed from you!
Comment: I am not usually a big collector of ATC's that have massive gems on them, but I cannot honestly say I have ever had a card like the one you made me, its a really clever use of the subject I set for everyone. I love the way you've made the little paws on the rat cuddle the teddy and the lettering around the rat. Super!
Response: Whew, i wasn't sure which way that comment was going to go! LOL So happy you liked my artistic vision, I know my stuff is different from most...that's what makes it mine.. Thank you!
Comment: Thank you so much for the fantastic present!! I was so pleased to find it in my mailbox. :) The kitties love greenies and I loved reading about your kitty, Victor. :) Happy Swapping and thanks for making my day bright!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard! The books that are wrapped in paper with a little blurb on them sound like a great idea! I think my local library was doing it, but I haven't been there much since I work across the street from a massive one in DC. Cheers! Justine
Comment: What a hoot! I love the card you sent, Wendy. It was a new one to me & just the sort of thing that tickles my fancy. I can't even comprehend your winter, having been a tropical or sub-tropical dweller for most of my life. But these longer & hotter summers are wearing on me. I've already had to run the AC to be cool enough to sleep at night and it's only February! Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you Wendy for making me laugh with your funny postcard "Easy does it," sent from Kansas City, Mo. Florida's "Winter" is weird, the orange trees have ripened oranges & been harvested. The trees have dropped their leaves, but the palm trees remain the same year 'round.
Comment: Triple yum! what an amazing swap. I must try the see's chocolates RIGHT away and what and extra special treat those Peeps are! Yummylicious swap indeed. ;)
- P.S.: They arrived perfectly, not a drop of choc out of place. ;)
Response: See's are my ultimate fav! Hope they weren't too melted- glad you're pleased, my friend! Yay Peeps!
Comment: Thank you SO much: first of all for the beautiful ATC - that's a great choice of theme and I personally love it as I've got an interest for the North! And second for the RAK because that made my day, it absolutely did. I'll have GREAT use for everything and absolutely and completely love it all!!! And yes, I'd trade anytime, if there's anything I can get for you over here. :) :) :)
Comment: Thank you for the box of treats! I am not embarrassed to say that for the last two years I waited until those peanut butter pumkpins went on sale right after Halloween, then bought them en masse. :D
Response: I do that too! with the mini Snickers- I cut them in half and freeze them. Happy Halloween!
Comment: Wow, thank you so so much! Those candies and chocolates tastes really good, I still need to try that warm apple drink. It's freezing cold here in Finland now, so hot drink is really good idea. :) And that owl you made... on my god, my daughter says she loves it and so do I! Thank you so very much, your are the best!
Response: You are welcome, and I'm glad your little girl likes the owl ;- }
If you want more of the apple drink, we can do a private swap
Comment: Thanks for the great Hitchcock postcard. I love fotofolio cards. I've started watching "The Birds" several times - and never made it to the end. Others I've watched all the way through. And of course I love this kind of imagery.
Comment: The awesome yellow package arrived today! Superb! Thanks so much for sending those goodies. I look forward to trying oreos mini? We don't have that here in Malaysia, justthe normal oreos! And nice card...I wish my cats are as smart as that!! LOL!! Thanks again for sending nice yellow items my way. Hugs from Malaysia.
Response: So happy that it arrived to you so quickly! Enjoy, and hugs to you!
Comment: Very fun ATC and interesting to hear the story of your racoons-I've only seen I when I shined the light on him in the middle of the day on the backshelf of an old shed we were going to have torn town-gave me quite a start! Now the little ones would be nicer! Oh-And lest I forget-thanks for the great vintage extras!!!
Comment: Love the card & appreciate your reading my profile & sending it in an envie. Thank you too for the wonderful Moomin extras. That stamp is fantastic. I also enjoyed your yard-art-illustrated note and info about Johkup. I'll follow up on that. Altogether a great swap. Thank you so much.
Response: It was fun to have someone to share the Moomin stamp with! Even the "airmail" sticker on her swap was Moomin :- D
Comment: What a great PC and what a great wedding this must have been! Wonder if the guests had to wear skates - wouldn't that have been fun?!?! The satin slippers almost look like tap shoes that would have a nice sole to grip. . . like saddle shoes (which I remember very well!). Thanks again for the great PC and happy swapping ~~
Comment: Thank you so much for everything - tote bag and strawberry bag, the little zip bag and crochet mathematics, and eggs and bugs, too! ;) Oh, and the wonderful fabric... how could I forget that?
Response: You finally received your swap! That's a relief~ and I'm glad you are happy ^o^ I enjoyed weaving with your yarn, and sharing these items with you. Have you heard of that mathematician? I know she would like you!
Comment: WOW! What a superb swap!
I've just gone Hot Tamales crazy - i absolutely LOOOVE them! And those cupcake wrappers will become my Pisco Sour cupcakes by the end of the week (hopefully with photos included). Ah! How could I forget - those Peeps will be gone before you can say "Happy Eas---" Too late! <3 <3 <3
Response: HAhaha, you are so funny~ and you are always such a generous swapper, I wanted to give something nice back to you. I'm so glad that you are pleased ^o^
Yes, I am interested to see what Pisco Sour cupcakes look like ~
Comment: Thank you so much for this wonderful package of treats :) we just opened it and have already eaten 2 peeps! I've heard a lot about them on websites etc but this was my first try and they're very yummy. Reese's is one of my favourites - they sell a limited range here in the UK so I can't wait to dig into the Easter bits you've sent. Thank you as we'll for the little extras - so cute xxx
Response: You're welcome, I enjoyed making up a package that would bring you smiles. I love Peeps too!!

Comment: I wish I could give you a MILLION hearts for this Johnny Depp/Edward Scissorhands postcard! I LOOOOOVE Johnny Depp and Edward Scissorhands is one of my favorites of his movies. Is it weird that I think Edward is totally hot??? LOL I'm glad you sent this one to me and not to the person for the "Hand Swap" :)
Response: Wow, I'm so glad too! I guess it was meant for you ;- } Very glad you are pleased with the swap, and thanks for the heart (s) LOL
Comment: Very small world isn't is Wendy? Thanks so much for the beautiful pc. I would be so very interested in driving up & seeing your coonies this spring. I am going to request your friendship on here so we can stay in touch till I see you this spring. It should be fun. I can't wait. :-)
Response: This is wonderful! I will be in touch when I get some babies. Have you ever been to Lakeside Nature Center, on the south side of Swope Park? That's where I get my baby coons. I can't wait, we'll have fun!
Comment: Dear Wendy, you made the day of my whole family! The handmade toy was a huge success, the cats are crazy about it, I have to hide it or they won't let us sleep! Thank you for the great extras, I love everything! Best wishes to your family!

Comment: I was at the bookstore about an hour ago and was flipping through a whole book of those miniature people in big-people scenes. I love those things so I was really excited to see your card today!
Response: Wow, what great luck that I chose that card to send to you- it must have chosen itself- the other one was an old woman with a rabbit on a leash....
Comment: I just loved everything. The ATC was so darn cute and done up excellent, and thanks for the pic of that ole bulldog...warmed my heart and thanks for the lovely letter. How cool to have a penpal that long and actually meet and share life.
Comment: Hi! Thanks for the AMAZING card the photograph took my breath away. The only movie i've watched from your list is Edward Scissorhands, loved it! Can't wait to watch some of the other movies when i get time.
Response: So glad you enjoyed my swap- I've saved all the pcs I got, and plan to watch the "fav movies" this winter ;- }
Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful package! I definitely had such a cozy break with everything you sent me, yum. :) And I really enjoyed reading through the craft magazine. There were many projects I need to try now. Also, thank you so much for the freezer paper! :) It was such a nice surprise! Someone once sent me a piece of it and I cut a stencil on it and ironed it on a fabric like you told your daughter does and it was so handy! It's really a shame we can't buy it over here. :/ But now I can't wait to use it again! :) - - - Yes, Finnish is different from Swedish/Danish, but also from Russian (those belong to the Germanic and Slavic branches of Indo-European languages). Finnish belongs to the Finno-Ugric language family together with Estonian and Hungarian. Estonian is quite close to Finnish, so we can understand each other's language to some extent. All the other Finno-Ugric languages are endangered or nearly extinct (because they are not official or majority languages), spoken in different parts of Russia + Sami languages in northern parts of Finland, Sweden and Norway).
Comment: Hi, thanks for the Fires of 1910 card. I googled it and they were in Washington, Idaho and western Montana....about 3 million acres burned.check out my new swap: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/132548
Response: Wow, that's interesting! I never thot to google it. I will certainly have a look at your new swap ;- }
Comment: Thanks for your package! I'm so impressed with the yarn! I have heard about kool aid dyeing but never tried it. Did you use the ice cube method for the different colors? Can't wait to crochet something with it. And of course, how can I not like the chocolates? I never tried the marzipan one. Thanks again!
Response: I soak and squeeze out the yarn and lay it in plastic wrap. Then squirt diff. colors of concentrated koolaid around the skein. Roll up and seal, microwave for 4 minutes. Should rinse pretty clear- mw longer if not. ;- }
Comment: Your "Beyond the Veil" ATC has two qualities that I love in an ATC: texture and dimension. Love it! I've seen this particular image of Excalibur in the stone online and I love it. Did you just save it and print it out on photo paper? Brilliant! And the image of the Lady I love too. Especially the way you've highlighted her with glitter on her hair piece. The texture of the veil, especially how you've placed it so that it partially conceals excalibur is also brilliant. The ATC is very cool, I love the recycled envie it came in, and I would love to know where you found playing cards with swords on them! Thanks, Wendy!
Response: Your words are very kind and they warm my heart and give me confidence ;- } I got the images from a royalty-free image CD from Dover Publishing, printed them onto photo paper. The cards are spanish- featuring chalices, swords, clubs (caveman) and coins. Glad you like it all!
Comment: Thank you so much for the package! The candy was yummy and I loved the ATC and notecard you sent along with it! Also I have no idea where you found hot pink bubble wrap but I've got it stashed for use in some swaps, love it. Thanks again! ^^
Response: The story of that bubble wrap would certainly be interesting- I too got it in a swap! Who knows where it originated!~ I'm happy that you enjoyed your treats ;- }
Comment: Thank you for everything you sent. I will be taking the biscuits to work with me to share, I really like using those packets of rice as they are so easy to cook and I have never seen Elvis coffee before.
Response: I'm glad that you like your package- Elvis coffee is about as American as it gets!
Comment: This is the most fabulous swap I have ever received. My slippers are just amazing. Your craftsmanship is beyond words. The colors of the spun wool is beautiful . The fit is perfect. I am leaving for Scotland Friday and my slippers are in my bag for cold nights. I am so happy I could scream!! The cream is divine, love the smell. To work it goes for on my desk. The handmade paper sets are going to be hoarded for awhile. It is all amazing and I am so happy you had me! You deserve so much more than just a heart. That just does not say thank you enough. Looking forward to meeting you at faire. Many blessings to you. Hugs & Hearts, Mona
Response: You are so very welcome! I'm thrilled to know the slippers are on their way with you to Scotland, you will no doubt need them there ^o^ I am looking forward to seeing you in the fall, thank you for the heart!
Comment: I also love this postcard. Thank you. This morning a cat sat in front of our window and complained that there was no longer food for her. She ate the leftovers of our dog Max who sadly died two months ago. So we will continue feeding her.
Response: You are kind to feed the cat who has been visiting with you through the window. Here in the States, sometimes we have raccoons looking through the window, hoping for a snack!
Comment: I love KOA swaps because of swappers like you. My swap was lovely. you did such a nice job making the paper. I love the added lavender and the fact that it is made with recycled paper. The extras where also nice and appreciate. Thank you for a true heart swap!
Response: OK good, no problem now that I know you got your swap. I'm glad that you are happy with it! I agree, KOA swaps are always fun!
Thanks for the heart
Comment: I love how incredibly creative your ATC is, Wendy! I like dimension and you incorporated yours really well in the way the boat is raised. I think it was incredibly creative of you to make Arthur's armor as individual foiled pieces. And very clever use of the face image to really make him stand out from his lady escorts. But, my absolute favorite part of the whole ATC is the way you used thread to simulate rays of light. Super clever! Love it. Great job, Wendy!
Response: Aww, thank you! I wanted to do something more than just Arthur standing there. I dug thru a lot of magazine pages to find just the right man's face! LOL
Comment: Thanks a lot for the amazing package Wendy. Your swaps are always so thoughtful and sweet! I loved the pirates wrapping paper you used and I can't wait to try all..ok ok the craker snacks are already gone =P Thanks a lot for the nice note as well and see you soon in another swap/tag!
Comment: Hi Wendy - Very interesting article, and I totally agree with it. Having hard copies of things like recipes and photographs is a lot more personal and "real" than having them on a computer or flash drive. Thanks for the article and note!
Comment: What fun, GIANT cereal bars you sent my way. As always, this was such a thoughtful package from you. I was so touched by you sending the embroidered, vintage pillowcases. LOVE them! I had noticed the pretty red in the handmade paper and was SO impressed to discover it was made with the Christmas wrapping paper I sent. Thanks for the great swap! :-)
Response: You're very welcome, it's a pleasure to put together something special for a friend.
Comment: I received your snacks yesterday. The "healthy" berry blend Trail Mix looks delicious, as the does the small box of "unhealthy" Whitmans chocolates - both good choices for me!! Thank you. P.S. Did you make your own paper for the stationery?
Response: Glad you like the selection ;- } Yes, I made the paper from junk mail and gift wrap
Comment: I LOVE the american Fruits Loops (we gett he ones made in Argentine and they just don't taste the same) and I'll be enjoying the coffee very, very soon -the weather's already changing. (some hot oatmeal with coffee sounds fantastic!) and, in the meantime, I'll dig into the yummy cereal. ;) P.S: and a special thanks for the peanutbutter Doves - I can finally enjoy a small taste of my favorite treats- PB and Choc!

Comment: Thank you for this ATC! The Canterbury Tales are not always easy to interpret into an ATC but this time you did a wonderful job! These are a bit more of a challenge aren't they? But I love the part about the "flattering fox" and yes this tale is very much about dreams.

Comment: Awesome card!
It would be hard to live in the North in days gone by. Though we live in a log house, and I am always complaining to my brother-in-law to not keep the fire so hot in the wood stove. Dead of winter I run around in my capris and t-shirt. I am just glad we don't have to go out and shoot our supper or anything like that. lol
Comment: Very nice atc! My new favorite one! Thanks for the papers, they were very neat. I don't have very many supplies yet, so they will come in handy. They made the wheels start turning, can't wait to use them.
