Comment: Thank you once again for another Stunning art piece💕
Would love to just put up a board up named D's Dreamy Wonderland. I'm sure I could fill it up. (That's Actually a good idea.) Hate putting Art away from my fav't artists. Love having all that Inspiration in front of me! 💖
Happy Arting D!
Comment: Donetta... as always, wonderful swapping with you. What a beautiful Feb. Rolo! You have a definite knack for them :-) Wish we lived closer so you could tutor me on them :-) cute, cute, cute! Thank you for hosting this swap...Happy birthday to your sisters! <3
Comment: Awe, this is the cutest little Valentines ATC ever...so very sweet! Love the sweet image and the pretty flowers. What takes this over the top is the stitching you used on the image itself as well as the flowers! So very nice!
Comment: Bee-YOU-tee-ful!!! Donetta, these are so extra special. And you sent so many--lucky me! They're so dainty and delicate. I'll be hoarding these 'til next year. Thank you, my friend, for always making something spectacular to fulfill a swap.
Response: How I love making the little (and not so little) embellishments...as long as you keep posting these delightful swaps, I'll be joining! It's a special joy to swap with you, my dear friend!
Comment: Hi Donetta, I also hate it when our little works of art get lost in the mail. I so appreciate you taking the time and effort to make me a resend!! :) I am so happy with these ATC's Yes they are so cute and winter like , I love them!! However I am tired of winter even though I don;t live in Michigan. It is going to be very cold here Thurs and Friday lows in the single digits!! BRR!! Happy Valentines Day to you. I love the extras also. Thank you so very much!!
Response: Donna, I have two more to send your way...I have a corneal abrasion on my left eye, and had to see an ophthalmologist yesterday, which put me behind a bit. (It hurts/!) The ATCs are already made; I just have to mail them. Thank you for your lovely comment and the great rating!
Comment: Thank you so very much for the gorgeous January themed rolo...so pretty! Going to be fun doing this monthly series. These ladies are so very pretty! Thank you also for the great little bits of wonderful extras which I will enjoy using in future projects. I always enjoy reading your note and that you took the time to write it. You are such an inspiration to me Donetta!
Response: I am addicted to series swaps! I just can't stay away from the monthly swaps...and it makes me so happy that you've joined me. I just love swapping with you Debbie. You are a treasure!
Comment: What a lovely glue book page...so pretty! I agree with you that glue book pages are so much fun to make. I love the vintage feel of this one as well as the soft colors and the sweet image! I can definitely see this in a collection of beautiful glue book pages. Thank you so very much for this wonderful work of art and for the lovely grungy papers you sent as extras.
Response: I had no idea how much I would enjoy the glue book pages, and I just don't see an end in sight. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, Debbie...they mean the world to me.
Comment: Donetta, this is one of my favorite color combinations that you have hosted.Love the vintage inspired card you sent.It is truly lovely. Thanks so much for the extras which I will certainly use.Hope you have a beautiful day.
Response: Oh, how I love sending my pieces to you...it's always so lovely to read your "review"! Thank you for always being so kind and generous.
Comment: My goodness!! What a GORGEOUS page! I am so excited to have this as a start to my completed Journal! I am always honored to receive one of your fabulous pieces! The painted tag is beautiful as well!! Thank you for always being an amazing partner!! ❤❤
Response: Dana, you are always so kind...I love swapping with you! Thank you for your lovely comment, and for the pretty red heart.
Comment: Such a sweet puzzle piece! I love it! I too sat and stared at my puzzle piece and drew a blank but then I started playing around with paint and placements and was able to come up with something! Love the bird themed and it's hanging on the back of my desk!
Response: Honestly, these can be so much fun to make...the only time I really run into trouble is when making multiples with one theme. That can be a bit stressful, since the idea is to have them each be unique, but there’s a limit to the number of images and embellishments that fit on puzzle pieces! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Hi Donetta , thank you for this beautiful doll I love her very much. She is really lovely. I like the layers and the different textures that you used. I shall treasure her . My apologies for the late rating. Please forgive. Happy 2020. peace love light
Response: Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating...I’m so happy you like your dollie.
Comment: Donetta: I'm sorry you had such a time with this one! But I know how you feel. Sometimes I'll work on something and the more I try to "fix" it or make it right, the worse it gets. But this little folder is adorable! I love the papers and sweet images that you used, the little notebook, and the little goodies you tucked inside. It's wonderful! Thank you so much. You absolutely Never disappoint in the beautiful work that you share!
Response: Oh Laurie, you always know exactly what to say! I hope we remain swap partners and friends for many years to come.
Comment: Thanks so much for the cool ATC, I love it! Hope your move goes smoothly. Have a very Happy 2020!
Response: Thank you so much for the great rating, Nancy. The move did not pan out, and I’m so upset...it cost me so much, and now I’m back to square one. I’m trying to convince myself that this just wasn’t meant to be...but wish I’d figured it out before spending all that money!
Comment: What a wonderful swap! I love how different all the envelopes are! Also you used so many layers on each. I love the way you used the thread, that is a new technique for me and I will have to try knotting it like you did. I really love the variety. Thank you so much!
Response: Thank you so much for your lovely comment...I really enjoyed making these for you!
Comment: A gorgeous little snow princess was waiting for me yesterday! Of course she is beautiful; you made her ;+) Love this image, the icy blue accents, and all the gorgeous elements you added. There's really nothing like Dresden, is there? I was having trouble getting motivated for this one, but you have inspired me to create mine today! Love the bit of music, the lovely doily and all those sweet, tiny golden acents. You're an alchemist--you turn paper into gold!
Response: Ah, Kristy...you are the most generous of partners! I truly did love making this sweet ATC for you (meaning that it was a sweet theme)! Thank you for your lovely, thoughtful comment!
Comment: What a lovely tag. It is beautiful. It was a fun 12 months. Thank you for hosting a great swap.
It sounds like you are moving to a lovely place though a bit cold for me. Living on the water is the only way to go. It is so beautiful and calming.
Hope you have a great start to the new year. See you again in the mail.
Response: My moving day is scheduled for tomorrow, when we are forecast to have 5-8 inches of snow and 40 mph winds. My nerves are shot, as is my body, from all the packing. I can’t wait to be on the other side of this move, and back in my craft room!
Comment: Always admire all your art on FB but when it's in my hand! Omg! All the bits & techniques are stunning! Love 💕 my card. Thanx for the note too. Can't wait to write again & catch up. Just got back from Christmas with everyone. Now I need a holiday! Lol!
Have a Fab 2020!
Response: I’m happy to have made you happy, Darci. I just love the little artworks we share with each other; they are so enjoyable to make and to receive!
Comment: Another beautiful piece of work from you! I love the elements you chose and how they all fit together. Thank you as well for the fantastic extras. I love the tea dyed with daily image-never thought of that! Thank you as always for being such a wonderful partner!
Response: This ATC was made only with items found on my grotesquely disorganized craft table...it’s how I seem to work best. Even the pleated and stitched tissue paper was from your swap envelope...I love it so much! I have such a pile of paper and ‘stuff’... I just love picking through it!
Comment: What a gorgeous piece of work! I dearly love it! Thank you so very much! 💙💙 I hope you had a wonderful time with your family! Thank you for always being such a wonderful partner.
Response: Dana, I had the BEST time in Idaho...my 16-year-old granddaughter drove me all over...a shock, really, because she is our ‘baby’...the youngest of all my grandchildren (and she drives better than her grandmother, to which her parents might have said that everyone drives better than me!) I really love swapping with you...let’s do more of it this year!
Comment: Oh D this vintage Santa journal page is just absolutely perfect! I love the Santa image and the black horses that you used - I've never seen this before. The black corrugate background really makes the images pop. And love the rustic "wood" background and snowflakes. One of my favorite Christmas swaps for this year by far. Thanks so much and thanks for the extras you always send me. Love them!
Response: I had never seen images like this before, either...I was doing some Pinterest perusal, and there it was! I knew that he was ‘the one’ the moment I saw him!
Comment: Hi D and your pick 3 winter GAA is wonderful! The baby photo is so sweet and I love how you layered your background and all the elements that you used. I get into the same mindset sometimes where things just don't come together the way I pictured them in my mind. And the more I tinker with whatever I am making, the worse it usually gets. I have been known to throw something in the trash and start over. I think it depends on your state of mind - some days just feel more "creative" than others. But this GAA is perfection, so I love it!! Happy New Year and look forward to more swapping with you in 2020!
Response: Thank you so much for the lovely comment and great rating, my friend. Here’s to many more wonderful swap experiences in 2020!
Comment: Thank you, thank you, thank you, I LOVE MY FLOWERS! They are perfect. I like the " Very, very non-machinable" note on the outside. The extras are great too. I love plaid. Did I remember to say Thank you? Again Thank you.
Response: I’m thrilled to have made you so happy! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment and great rating!
Comment: This was so pretty! And yes I agree it is a bit harder to do a winter themed over a Christmas one. Echo Park is a good brand with some really pretty winter themes! I loved your mini flipbook and goodies! Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Response: I’m so happy to have made you happy! I loved making this little flipbook for you...thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating.
Comment: Beautiful ATC. I love this color combination for winter scenes. Enjoyed catching up on your activities-hope you are feeling better by now. Have a joyous Christmas with your family. Good luck with your move-hope Jan in Michigan isn't as cold and snowy as Jan in ND. Keep in touch-it's been a fun past year swapping with you and look forward to more in 2020.Thanks also for the sparkling jewels you sent! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year of Swapping!
Response: Oh it most definitely is hard wintertime for Michigan in January. My immediate move will be easy...the move of my STUFF from WA to MI will be tricky. I jus.t love swapping with you, my friend!
Comment: This tag is so pretty.I love the cardinals, they are one of my all time favorites. Thanks so much.I am also enjoying the wonderful extras you sent.I appreciate all the time and thought you put into everything you make.
Response: Linda, you are simply wonderful. I love swapping with you, and appreciate your friendship. It’s just a joy to swap with you!
Comment: Hi Donetta, Thanks very much for the fun criss-cross pocket! It's very cute. I'm loving that awesome gold trim you used. Thanks for all of the goodies you added as well. I think these pockets will serve as a creative way to package swaps/ephemera. Great swap. Thanks again😊
Response: I really want to make more...now I’m thinking how cute this would be fowr Valentines Day! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Dear D, I got the most adorable vintage Santa in a turquoise robe today! Thank you so much - I love him. It was fun, once I started searching, to see how many colors you could find Vintage Santas wearing that were not traditional colors. I got one from Connie that was black and white - he's amazing and I'd never have thought of using B&W. Thanks for always being the best swap partner and for the little bag of extra goodies! Cheers!!
Response: I’m so happy to have made you happy! It’s always a joy to swap with you, Laurie.
Comment: My goodness! Christmas came early! This are magnificent! Your work is so lovely and I am always lucky when I'm your recipient!! Have a Merry Christmas!! ❤❤
Response: Thank you so much, Dana...I have a special fondness for twinchies and other wee things. I have some little twig wreaths that I decorate with fairy lights and twinchies I've made for various holidays and seasons...I think the little arty things are all kinds of adorable!
Comment: Thank you so very much for the lovely 3 Elements ATC...so pretty! The butterfly is beautiful and the dangling beads are so perfect! They really take it over the top and adds such a great dimension to the overall ATC! Love it!
Response: I must remember to send you more "busted bling"...I have bags of it, and actually use it quite often! Thank you for always being the very nicest of swap partners!
Comment: Donetta, these are so precious! I love the sweet little vintage children you used...so cute. Really, really beautiful Christmas ATCoins that I will enjoy in my collection of wonderful art work! Thank you so very much!
Response: Debbie, you are always so kind...I just love swapping with you! It's always a special pleasure to swap with you. Happy Christmas, my dear friend!
Comment: Lovely, lovely (as always!) Your sweet chickadee is so sweet peeking out from behind the maple leaf. Love that you used German text and love that stitching up the side--stitching adds so much character! Your little 'frizzle' of thread along the bottom is a great touch. Thanks for always sending your best, my friend
Response: I do love our swaps, my dear friend...let's not ever stop, okay? I adore having you as my swap partner, in either direction. Thank you for your sweet and thoughtful comments, and for the great ratings you bestow!
Comment: As always perfection! You always seem to have a perfect sense of balance and detail with everything you touch. I hope you have a lovely and safe trip and your baby does not have too bad a time away from you. Used to hate boarding my kitties when we went away. They were always so happy to get back home.
Response: That is just the loveliest compliment, Bev...thank you. I've been very sick with food poisoning (ugh, in the hospital), so it's especially wonderful to sit down at my craft table again and respond to ratings from my wonderful friends. I won't take this for granted again for a long time!
Comment: Lovely tags as I knew they would be.You did a awesome job but then I would expect no less.Always happy when I receive a envelope from you. Thanks so much.I really appreciate all the time and thought you put into your art.Thank you again.
Response: Your swaps are always so creative...a cut above, really. I enjoy every moment spent on creating little arty things. Thank you so much for your lovely comments...you always put a smile on my face!
Comment: Such a beautiful ATC! Thank you for the pretty tag too!🙂🦋
Response: I loved making this ATC...I've never had a Springer spaniel (I've had a sweet little cocker spaniel, though), but this one was so endearing that I had to use her on this ATC! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Lovely, oh so lovely is this 4x4 depicting the fashion of the 1890’s. I love the fashion and styles of the old days way back in time! I’ve always thought it would be so cool to have lived in that time period just to dress up in those lovely clothes, shoes, hats, etc. Your representation of that era is so pretty especially with all the little added details to dress up the ladies! Thank you so very much!
Response: Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating, Debbie! I think I may host a series of these pages, with different decades being featured. I don't know why that just occurred to me!
Comment: And so very Victorian these beautiful ornaments are! Love them both...the little birdie is just lovely with all it’s adornments especially the chunky gold glitter. So pretty! The old Santa is just gorgeous! Love the blue and silver. I like the texture of his beard. These beauties will definitely be enjoyed through the Christmas season. Thank you so very much for both the ornaments and the great extras.
Response: This year, for some reason, the Christmas spirit is within me, after eluding me for several years. I loved making these for you, and I'm so happy you like them!
Comment: Oh Donetta, this is so darling! I just love the sweet vintage characters, front and back, that you used. I love the Raggedy Ann and Andy and the cute buttons which is “just icing on the cake”! Thank you so very much for for this cutie and for the extras.
Response: I am so happy that you like the little rolo, Debbie...I just love making them! Thank you for alway leaving such lovely comments...and of course, those pretty red hearts!
Comment: Love Love this little book of fashion! Love the images and the papers you used to decorate paper bag. Very creative-always love to see a package with your return address on it come to my mailbox!
Response: I am SO happy to have made you happy, my dear friend! I loved every minute spent on this little journal, even though I realized that I can't seem to follow the simplest YouTube video...I get carried away with the "decorating" and forget about things like pockets and tuck spots!
Comment: Lovely tag as always. Such a nice choice of image. Hope you have a peaceful Thanksgiving. Bet you are looking forward to when you can get back out to our coast again.
Response: Oh, the weather here is quite something...believe it or not, it isn't the fierce winters that bother me; it's the hot, humid summers. Ooh, so hard to take! I'm pondering my options...west coast or "3rd coast" (Great Lakes midwestern states)...it's addictively affordable here! But back to the swap...thank you so much for your always-lovely comments and great ratings. You are the best imaginable swap partner!
Comment: Another fabulous addition to my album. Thank you for another gorgeous card.
Response: I really am fascinated by the era..so much change happening! I watched a series called "Boardwalk Empire" which was set in Atlantic City, NJ during the time of prohibition (and beyond) and it was amazing. A terrible time to be a woman, really...but fascinating. Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: These are precious! I love your creativity. Thank you for raiding your “wee things” stash. I can certainly find a use for them in my collages.
Response: Oh, I have an overflowing bowl...I took the pretty gilded container from last year's amaryllis (a gift from my sister; I'm afraid I killed the bulb) and it is overflowing with mostly wee things. Some bigger things, too. The only problem is that I can't remember what lies beneath the layer I added last week...I need to dump it out and refill it so I can see and use some of the older things! Thank you for the always lovely comments and ratings!
Comment: Love the owl you chose. Thanks so much for the great ATC.I love everything about it.Perfect addition to my "Bird Journal". Have a wonderful holiday my friend.
Response: I meant to go in another direction...I really did. Something more like the swap illustration (which I made years ago)...but it was a cold and gray day, which does not bother me in the slightest, and I went with Mother Nature's inspiration. Silvery and gray and wintery. Thank you for always leaving the most wonderful comments and ratings!
Comment: These are lovely and such elegant colours and embellishments. Thanks again for all!
Response: I have such a wonderful time making the little embellishment thingys! I just love them...making them and receiving them and using them! Thank you so much for being the loveliest of swap partners, my friend!
Comment: What a beautiful card. Oh my!! I love it thank you!! 💞
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! I do love the "3 Elements" themes...to make something cohesive while using specified elements is a bit of a challenge and tons of fun. Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: I am always so excited to see an envelope from you, the ATC is FANTASTIC!!!
I love it, and thank you for the extras.
Response: Oh, how I love flamingos. I have only seen real ones at the zoo (the Portland zoo, to be exact) and they tickle me. I think they look like they should live on another planet! Thank you so much for your sweet comment (you made my day, seriously) and for the pretty red heart. It's a joy to swap with you!
Comment: Dear D: These mini tags are just amazing! You are always able to put so many elements and so much detail into all of your work and the end result is always just stunning. I love how you use paper doilies and all the beautiful gold and other metallic trims that you use. Where do you get your metallic trims and your doilies? They just dress everything up so. And like you, these swaps are just a joy for me. I spend time in my little studio/craft room every day if I can manage it, and most days I do. Thanks for another beautiful swap and for all your help with the new VPI Group - I'm pleased with the results so far!
Response: Laurie, you are just wonderful in every way...thank you so much for your uplifting message, and please know that it is pure pleasure to swap with you!
Comment: Love the jaggy shape of this gothic arch ATC-so creative as you always are. Great to swap with you again! Thanks for all the extra goodies, too! We have had snow-not much and it keeps going away-so we have a bleak landscape of trees without leaves-the grass is still green-covered with brown leaves-just hope we can have a white Christmas. Take care my friend-stay warm!
Response: It is always such a pleasure to swap with you, my dear friend...thank you for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful flip book! It has just the right amount of tuck spots (lol). I love the gold in it, I’m so lucky to have received your work - ❤️
Response: You are beyond kind, Jan, and I thank you for that. As I was giving the finished product a final look-see, I realized that I was several tuck spots short...how did that happen? I kept pausing the video to make sure I didn't miss anything, but clearly I missed plenty! The truth is, I completely enjoyed the process of making it, and now want to make more!
Comment: Your raven is even more fabulous for real! Just amazing art work and mixed media indeed, all that sparkle looks so cool! And love the layers on the background. Don´t worry; you´re one of the best mixed media (or any media) artists I know and have the magic touch in everything you make. Thank you!
Response: Ooh, I'm so happy to have made you happy, my dear friend! It took several washings to remove the gold leaf from my sticky fingers, but I so love the effect. Thank you for the wonderful comment and great rating...I LOVE swapping with you!
Comment: Hope you and kitty are both on the mend. Feel free to have a moan anytime. As always, your pages are a delight to get. |A lovely combo of images. Thanks for hosting all these wonderful swaps!
Response: Kitty AND Mama are completely recovered, which still surprises me. I feared I would lose her...she has never been sickly, and to see her this way (and...yuck, to smell her, poor thing)...it was terrible. I am so thankful that she's all better. She's 14...you know, we worry when they segue into "senior" status. Thank you so much for your compassion and for your presence here. I treasure you!
Comment: Oh Donetta, I am so pleased to be the recipient of this beauty! I gasped in awe at this when I saw it on Flickr and then when I saw that it was coming to me I was a happy girl! This is so gorgeous...all of it...the background, the image, the stitching (may I add very nicely stitched!), the lace...all so vintage and beautiful! Thank you so very much for this lovely swap!
Response: I had the best time making this one for you, Debbie...I confess that I am enjoying the larger (5x7) format...still loving the 4x4s, but those bigger ones are kind of my favorite at the moment. Thank you for your wonderful comment and (of course) for the pretty little heart!
Comment: First of all, thank you for hosting an ATCoin swap...I have missed making them. These are each equally beautiful bird coins. Love the pretty way you decorated them and the words are so fitting for each one. Some of my favorite birds! Thank you.
Response: I do love the circles; I find them not only lovely to make, but actually useful once they are made. I have a faux evergreen wreath that has little white lights wound all around and it's decorated with Christmas "coins". If I say so myself, it's ah-mazing! Thank you so much for being a lovely swap partner and friend, Debbie!
Comment: An original Donetta Gothic arch! Really a great atc ... love your take on this and all the Dutch elements... love Vermeer love the pearl girl and love this card! And those extras ... especially that ribbon ... thank you so much!!
Response: That lady with the pearl earring...that particular image...was the inspiration for the swap. I knew at first glance that she would be "mine"! Thank you so much for being the most wonderful swap partner, Kathryn...I treasure you!
Comment: Thanks for this great tag! Did you know that the Coast Guard maintains a flock of plastic flamingos on one of the islands on the route of the Inside Passage? The ferry tells passengers to be on the look out for a flock of exotic birds! Thanks too for the extras. I love the bling. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: I certainly did NOT know about the plastic flamingos...that's adorable! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating, Sherry.
Comment: Sorry for me being so late on rating ... Thank you for the Junker Jane Skinny!!! I LOVE it! And yes, till the next swap, we've been partners a lot lately! But you don't hear me complain about it :-D
Response: This was one of the craziest swap themes...I had never heard of Junker Jane before this. She was fun to make...thank you for the nice comment and great rating!
Comment: How lucky I am to have you as my swap-partner :)! The page you made is so beautiful once again and every single detail is so well thought and just at the right place. And what a beautiful wrapping with just two doilies and a lovely ribbon, perfect! Thank you so much for making my day a lot better!
Response: I am especially fond of the "romantic' themes, and also very fond of having you as my swap partner! Thank you for the lovely comment and great rating, my dear friend!
Comment: This is so pretty!! I love that you went off on your own and put your own twist on things!! Thank you for all the fun tuck ins!!
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! I do love the little flip books; travelers notebook journals; junk journals...they are time and labor-intensive, but so very satisfying at the end. Thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Thanks for the Halloween ATC. I thought it was great!! Happy Halloween!!
Response: Janis, you are simply lovely. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement. Your work is always amazing...it's sometimes a bit intimidating to send to someone who can draw and paint rather than cut and glue!
Comment: Thanks for this gorgeous swap and all the extras too! Your art lights up my day, every time! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: What a lovely compliment...thank you so much, Sherry! i often feel like the Swapbot computer is stuck...i send to you so often that i'm afraid you'll be saying 'oh not again'! Thank you for brightening my day, and for the great rating!
Comment: Oh my goodness!! I saw this on your Flickr and LOVED it!! Did not realize it was MINE!!! I am So happy swap-bot if forcing me to be a collector of your artwork! Haha! Thank you again so much ! You always send such fantastic extras too!!! ♥♥
Response: Dana, you made my day! Thank you for the lovely compliment and for the great rating...it''s a pleasure to swap with you/!
Comment: I will never be sad. to have your ATC's they are wonderful, thank you so much for sending this one to me so I could add it to my collection.
Response: Steph, thank you for the lovely compliment, and for the equally lovely rating! It does seem as if the Swapot computer is stuck on me sending to you...but the color series is not as well 'attended' as I'd hoped, and that's probably the reason. i know I love receiving your wonderful hand-drawn and hand-colored ATCs...you have such a gift!
Comment: Love the rolo. The colors always you use always blend so nicely. The background paper is perfect. Thanks so much.Have a wonderful day.
Response: i have a confession: I'm already getting weary of Halloween swaps! i should never have joined that 9-month APC swap; making 6 or 7 different Halloween playing cards each month did a number on me. i learned a lesson...too much is too much! i do really love the Halloween papers and images, though. By September, 2020 I'll be ready to roll again!
Comment: Love the two ATC's you made for me.Thank you so much for joining the swap.Always a pleasure to swap with you.
Response: You always come up with wonderful swap themes, so it's pure pleasure to join your swaps and make pretty things! I confess that I struggled with Junker Jane...she is en route to Holland as I type this (bahahahaha!).
Comment: What a wonderful little journal! 😊😊 Thanks so much!
Response: Thank you, Mary...I have an entirely new appreciation for brown paper bags! Who knew how many adorable little things they can be made into? i can't wait to make more, without the Halloween theme.
Comment: Wow! Autumn just flew into my florida house. Very beautiful autumn colors. I do miss autumn, but not the cold. Thank you for a wonderful swap again and hosting.
Response: We are polar opposites, Pat...I can't tolerate the heat, and if humidity is added to the mix I feel as if I might die. Autumn is my favorite season...I love the beautiful colors and the cooler days and nights. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for the great rating!
Comment: Thank you for this ATC, you have such an eye for the colours on these cards. The pictures you have chosen really marry up together in the collage with the softness of the flowers and the shiny gold.
Response: Thank you, Steph...it's a tad intimidating to send to you, just because you're an "artist of note"! Thank you for the lovely and thoughtful comment, and for the great rating.
Comment: Love the little owl! All these extra treasures are amazing but as much as I like the the card is just wonderful the image reminds me of the books mother read to me years ago the sweet illustrations ... I want to tell you how much the tiny strips of gold added to the feel of looking through a window into the past ... thank you so much for this lovely card
Response: You always say the nicest things, Kathryn! It's pure pleasure to have you as a swap partner. Thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Love the key. Your wire work looks great. You are too hard on yourself. Thank you for a great swap.
Response: Well....thank you so much for the sweet and encouraging comment and great rating, Pat. I need to beef up my wire-wrapping skills, as it's pretty clear that if they aren't used, they are definitely "losed"!
Response: Not my best effort, Judaline...I was very distressed to realize that my "special" keys are lost to me...maybe in storage? Hard to tell. I had to choose the largest of my "craft" keys, and it just didn't work out as I'd hoped. Yours, on the other hand, was phenomenol! I do thank you for the great rating I just wish I felt like it was deserved!
Comment: Thank you Donetta, for an absolutely lovely "contented spirit." So many details to visit and revisit! I'm crazy about the black lacy trim and copper jewels. I needed that cool moon/star charm! Perfect spot waiting for it.
Response: Thank you, dear Nancy...I always love swapping with you! I especially love it when I receive swaps from you, because you are the definition of "amazing artist"! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating.
Comment: Ooooh . . . I saw this one on the SB home page and wished it was mine . . . now it is! Donetta, it's gorgeous. You always find THE BEST images to use on your ATC's. This one is such a neutral beauty; I'm in love with it. Thank you for always sending your creative best; my heart goes pitter-patter when you're my sending partner!
Response: Oh, I loved making this one! The 3 elements were just so easy to make a cohesive ATC from...I am LOVING making backgrounds from ledger paper and papers with all sorts of writings. I just bought 3 paper napkins (from Lithuania!) with foreign script on them, and will most definitely send one to you. I wonder if it's in Lithuanian?! (Is there such a language?)
Comment: They are very delightfully eerie and wonderful little ornaments. They will decorate my Halloween for sure! Love the way you wrapped a doily around them to send-unique idea! And thanks for all the wonderful little extra-thanks for sharing! You're just so nice!
Response: Blushing here...it's always such a pleasure to swap with you, Georgene...I honestly feel as if we are friends, even though we've never met. Thank you for always leaving such wonderful comments and ratings!
Comment: Donetta, I can’t tell you enough how much I adore this pretty bird tag! I have it propped up right in front of me at my craft table so I can enjoy it. It is so, so sweet! Thank you so very much for the lovely tag and the great extras.
Response: I'm really loving the tag book tags...I have no idea how long this one will go on, but I just can't wait to make a book out of them! Thank you for always leaving such wonderful comments and ratings, Debbie!
Comment: Wow! What cool embellishments! I cant wait to use them! I am going to put a few on my headboard as decorations :) It was a bit of a time intensive swap but what you came up with was so worth it. I love love love the papers you used! Also so cool how the coins dangle from the one tag and the tattered edge of the cards! Thank you!!!
Comment: It does not get cuter than kittens with mittens! Are you looking for a new kitty in your future? Hope you have fun with the kitties at the shelter.
Response: Mercy, no more kitties for me! I mean...I would love to have several more (I have 3) but I am already breaking the rules of my apartment complex (there's a limit of 2). I just love kitties so much, and want to do what I can to help with the ones at the shelter. Oh Bev...the kittens! They snuggle and love all attention...they are adorable. Thank you so much for the happy heart rating...and I'll keep you current on the happenings at the shelter!
Comment: Darling Donetta it is always such a treat to get one of your little works of art in the mail. This gothic arch ATC is absolutely stunning. I love the tiny jewel in his beak. The little details are what makes your work so special. Thank you so very much!!!
Response: I am fascinated by all things raven...just can't seem to get enough! I love that you love your ATC; I always want to send my very best to you!
Comment: What a wonderful ATC! I love your creation. Hey, why are your supplies closer to me than you?? haha. Thanks for all the thoughtful extras too!!
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy, Susan! I am a PNW lady currently on the "3rd coast", but longing to return home. I have plans afoot...and oh boy, will it be nice to stop paying $200 per month for my storage unit!
Comment: Whoooo . . . . I LOVE this owl! Such a beautiful specimen and your embellishments are on point, especially that feather! All your ATC's are truly works of art and I'm so lucky to own many of them. And I'm in love with those extra Halloween bits you sent--you know Halloween is my absolute favorite and these have been carefully hoarded in my stash ;+) Thank you so much, my dear friend, for all the loveliness you send my way~
Response: I always love an owl theme...there are so many wonderful images to choose from; it's just a matter of deciding on realistic vs whimsical. I love your 3 Elements swaps; I love to make a little piece of art that contains all 3 but doesn't LOOK like it was just 3 random elements. (I've received some of those in years past.) Let's make a pact to keep sending each other bits of loveliness for many years to come.
Comment: Beautiful, beautiful! (as always ;+) I love the stamps you chose, Donetta, especially the ship stamp. I'm keeping them in a lovely vintage tin ready for use! Thank you for always sending the best of everything and thank you doubly for the beautiful tie pieces! I'm going to use them on some journal tags!
Response: Journal tags...I hadn't thought that far, but what a wonderful way to use some of the glorious silk pieces from Nancy. You always have the best ideas! Thank you for the sweet comment and beautiful heart rating, my friend!
Comment: Love your pattern ladies. They are really cool. I shrinky dinked a real pattern. I like your women much better. Thank you as always for being a wonderful swap partner and coordinator.
Response: I am very fond of the vintage pattern ladies...so elegant and pencil-thin! I remember my mother making and wearing some of these beautiful dresses. Thank you for always being a wonderful swap partner, Pat.
Comment: Such a pretty charm! Thank you so much!! I love the extra bits to make my own and for the Halloween Extras!! xoxo
Response: Charms are so much fun to make. At the moment, I have orders for two charm bracelets for little girls (one is 9; the other is 7). I mistakenly purchased 200 tacky little unicorn charms from China, and I have to find a use for them (oh, tell me you have a use for some and I will IMMEDIATELY send you one or two of my 20 bags). The challenge here is finding "kiddie" like beads in my enormous stash. Back to the swap...thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Oh my wowza!! This ATC is absolutely beautiful!! You done an amazing job my friend. I consider myself lucky to be able to add it to my collection. The extras was a wonderful surprise to!! Thank you! 💞
Response: When I think of "whatever" in terms of swap themes, it's always either Paris, ballerinas, or cats/dogs. Love these themes...and I am so happy that I made you happy! Thank you for the lovely red heart!
Comment: Thank you for the adorable cupcake window tag! I’m sorry you struggled with it but it turned out so cute! Ü
Response: Well...if I hadn't been so ridiculous about it, thinking to myself "I've got this", all would have been better for me. Easier. But I truly did love making it for a fellow cupcake lover! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Thank you for completing my set with another great set of cards!!!
Response: Oh Lesley, I am: 1) happy that you like them, and 2) thrilled that this deck is complete! Thank you for the beautiful red heart...your wee bag of extras is on its way now, with the charm I made for you!
Comment: What a beautiful ballerina card! Cute extras & sparkles!! Thank you! I love it.
Btw, what are those silver stick on strips called? I need to get some!
Response: I buy those border stickers from Elizabeth Crafts...they come in black, gold, and silver and I use them almost as much as I use my scissors! (That's an exaggeration.) I'm so happy you like the ATC, and thank you for the great rating!
Comment: Lovely, beautiful journal page! You create the best vintage sewing pattern ladies all dolled up in their pretty embellished dresses. So much fun! Thank you so very much for the lovely swap! Love it!
Response: I simply adore the vintage pattern ladies; they remind me of my mother, and the Jackie Kennedy generation. I love using the pretty ladies in my little artworks, and I'm so happy you like this journal page! Thank you for another beautiful red heart!
Comment: Donetta, what an awesome Tag for the month of August. Love the orange and teal colors. This tag just screams “late summer” with the sun flowers and their pretty little micro bead centers. Love the ric-rac and cute buttons. This will definitely be a great addition to my tag book of months!
Response: While living in the midwest, I've been kept indoors by the heat and humidity. I welcome late summer, which the is gateway to my favorite season, which is autumn. Just think...we have only 3 more tag book tags to go!
Comment: Oh my, these bird tags are so beautiful! I adore them! So prettily embellished! Precious, sweet, sweet little tags! I can’t wait to hang them on my display board in my craft room. Thank you so very much!
Response: I really enjoyed the making of these tags, Debbie...I always want my creations to be good, but particularly when sending to you (and a few special others), since your work inspires me! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: I always love how you translate each swap theme. Even my husband commented on this one. I have been cutting out a lot on my sweets. Have gone a month now with no sugar in my coffee. Now that is a sacrifice! Thanks for all!
Response: This little girl "spoke" to me...I had something entirely different in my mind, but when I found her, I knew she was "the one". I am so happy to have made you happy...thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Oh-how beautiful-love the earring detail! Thanks also for the extra papers-they are so pretty. Thanks for swapping with me-glad to see you are getting use of the return address stickers I made for you. Glad to hear you are getting better with your foot! Take care!
Response: I LOVE the address labels! You are just the most wonderful swap partner, Georgene...I love sending to you, and receiving from you! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: I also like the “pattern ladies”! Great choice...especially like the red suit with that wide belt ... the colors blended so well... I am truly appreciative of the tissue... am using it now in a set of jams! Perfect ... thanks so much
Response: Honestly, this one was just fun to make. The pattern ladies on this ATC remind me of my mother...you know, the elegance of Jackie Kennedy's 1960's style. Thank you for your sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Dear D: Wow, wow, wow! This journal pages is just brilliant. Every single element has been placed with care and artistry and the number of elements you have used it just awesome. I love that this couple have traveled to Paris, London and Rome - think I even see Venice in there! This is just a collaged work of art. You continue to inspire me to make more art and be better at it. Thank you for another beautiful piece of work. Hugs!
Response: Well, I want to be that couple! I'm pitifully under-traveled, and once I have good knees (done) and good feet (in process), I intend to fix that little issue. I am thrilled that you like my journal page!
Comment: Dear D: Your birdie rolo flew into my mailbox yesterday and it's just perfection. Always the most wonderful elements, colors, composition and always a bit of shiny too! I love the little pearl "eggs" in the nest. Thank you for yet another amazing swap - love it when you are my partner! Hugs!
Response: Bahahahaha...I so wanted to replicate that gorgeous felt nest on the swap graphic, but made do with the supplies at hand. Not being able to drive was hell on earth, and I'm ever so relieved that those days are in the past. Thank you for your sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: I got your Angeled journal page. It was wonderful. I hope you are getting better.
Response: I am very lucky to have such good swappy friends...I never saw the journal page, but knowing where it came from, I have the utmost faith that it is beautiful. Thank you so much for your kindness and patience, my friend!
Comment: I love your July tag. It is beautiful and so very appropriate. Got to Florida on Monday. Glad to be down here. Thank you for all of your work with these tags. I hope this finds you getting along a bit better with both legs!
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! I can't wait to see my tag book all assembled (although I have a feeling it will be so thick that it won't close). Thank you so much for your kindness throughout my travails, Pat...you are a treasure,
Comment: D: This is simply elegant and beautiful! I too think religious iconic art is amazing even though I do not consider myself a religious person.. But there are so many lovely images out there and this is one of them. And I love the little icon brad you attached - where did you find that? As always, any time I get an envelope from you, I know it will make me happy. Your art is always amazing!
Response: I feel exactly the same way...it's not about "religion" for me, it's about the beautiful artwork and images. I always feel at peace in large, ornate churches and cathedrals (maybe in a previous life, I WAS religious!). The tiny saint charm came from my bestie, @isabellasnow...I have 2 more, and I'm hoarding them for another special occasion...having you for my swap partner constitutes a special occasion, you know! I don't know where Kristy got the wee charms, but I will ask, because they are just adorable. Thank you so much for your encouraging words and for your happy heart ratings, Laurie...you are one in a million!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Owl tag! I aiways look forward to receiving a swap from you.Everything you send is so pretty and I love the glitter.Appreciate the extras too. Great swap.
Response: I had to log in to Flickr to see what I'd made...and now i do remember using the Stickles on the owl's headdress! Joan, if I didn't have my craft table, I'd probably be in a locked facility by now, what with the multiple surgeries and being housebound for so long. I just love making little artworks! Thank you for the lovely compliment, and for the wonderful rating, too.
Comment: Love that you created a binder swap. The binder you sent to me made me smile.the little gypsy girl is adorable and she comes with coins. How cute is that.Once again you have created a beautiful piece.I am always excited to open a swap from you because I know it will be the best! thank you my friend.
Response: I do miss the BTCs, and want to bring them back. They appeal to me in the same way that rolos do...they are easy to display and enjoy. I will continue posting BTC swaps, because they are just so enjoyable!
Comment: Donetta,I to am a cat person. But the little puppy on this arch will steal your heart. So cute and the whole arch is amazing.I love that it has a vintage feel to it.You always give so much thought to your art and you always inspire me.Thanks so much.
Response: I am definitely a cat person, but certain dogs in my life have stolen my heart. And some are insanely adorable, such as dachshund puppies! Every now and again I have to host a doggie swap, just to be fair. But I am reminded that I haven't had a cat theme in awhile...
Comment: Blue is my favorite color and you did a wonderful job of making it so beautiful. It felt like Christmas today when I received three swaps from you.I love them all.The tiny little jewels are precious. The whole ATC is just breath taking.Thank you so much for joining my swap and for being the wonderful artist you are.
Response: I love your swap themes...I enjoy the "challenges" (pick 3, blue, etc.) more than I enjoy "sender's choice', actually. It's always such a pleasure to have you as a swap partner, in either direction! And thank you for the lovely compliment and great rating, Linda.
Comment: Oh it is just gorgeous Donetta! That caption made me burst out laughing! Personally, for this particular piece of art, I like the more is more maxim! Thank you once again for creating such a beautiful piece for me. :)
Response: Oh Mandy...I loved making her for you! I just couldn't seem to stop...I want to make more similar ladies! I am so, so happy you like her.
Comment: Oh, Donetta, I don't know how I missed this beauty! This is the weetest little girl! I love the embellishments you used (as always)...roses are so beautiful on everything, aren't they? And I love your narrow gold trims on things and this time you created a frame with them! Love all your work, my dear friend. Thank you! p.s. those postcards! Tres bien, mon ami!
Response: Well, I loved making this one for you. I've used this vintage little girl image more than once...she's just the cutest! Thank you for the sweet comments and great ratings...you're the most wonderful swap partner!
Comment: Hi Donetta! I LOVE your vintage bride and groom framed in the finest of golden frames. You've gotten the vintage look down perfectly with those faded roses and little stamp--who knows? They might BE from Poland! Love those tiniest of dots cascading down her bouquet, too. Thanks bunches for another beauty to add to my 'Donetta' collection!
Response: I adore the "3 elements" swaps, dear Kristy...I love to tell a little story with the elements, so that it's not obvious that there was a challenge involved. I remember receiving an ATC from someone (ages ago) in a 3 Elements-type swap that called for pink, a key, and a postage stamp. I received a 2.5x3.5-inch piece of pink cardstock with a postage stamp and a key charm glued to the background. I remember thinking, this cannot be the point of a 3 Elements idea!
Comment: Hi Donetta & Mandy! I received the loveliest of ATC's with the Zinnia Fairy--so cute--her little wings are flying off the page! So many pretty elements on the page and I love the cluster of glittered flowers in the corner...simply beautiful!
Response: My angels are the BEST, aren't they? So very talented and even more than that...so generous with their time and resources. I just love them, as I do you, my dear friend!
Comment: + many more hearts and a bouquet of flowes! Your design is gorgeous, Donetta. I love the images and those pretty gold-centered flowers--oolala! You even decorated the back of the card beautifully! What a treat. You are a daughter of Midas and everything you touch, turns to gold!
Response: This one was just fun to make! I enjoyed every minute of the making. Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for the great rating!
Comment: Thank you for being pacient with waiting for this rating, home now and your ATC was waiting for me. I love the use of the silver thingy on the top of it. Thats really quite creative. Thank you also for the extras. Really lovely stuff.
Response: Thank you for the lovely heart rating, Steph. I wish I had your wonderful talent for drawing and coloring so beautifully...alas, I am really only good at cutting and pasting!
Comment: Hi Mandy and Donetta - I got the most beautiful red, white and blue lady ATC in the mail today, which I assume Mandy made?? I love the image of the lady that was used and the blue butterfly is really perfect with the touch of glitter along the edge of the wings. It's red, white, and blue but so subtle that it doesn't scream that combination at you - perfect! Thank you for a fun swap.
Response: Ah, Laurie...my angels are just the best! I'm thrilled that you like the ATC (I knew you would!), and so grateful to Mandy and Jan for helping me in my hour of need. Thank you for the lovely comment and beautiful red heart...those ladies deserve ALL the hearts!
Comment: Oh my gosh I love your flip book! It's so elegant and pretty and all the goodies inside are awesome! Such a happy ending to a tough day. Thank you so much!
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! I had a few issues along the way, but I think I covered up the mistakes pretty well. You are a kind and gracious swap partner, and I can't thank you enough for your patience!
Comment: Oh my darling Donetta, your journal page really made my day :)! It´s beyond words and every single thing in it is perfect. The doily on the background and the vintage-looking piece of the book page are a great start and everything else is totally fabulous. And the colors match so well together. Love also the lace you´ve used in front and back. All the love and care you put into your creations is so clearly visible and I´m so lucky to have another piece of art from you. THANK YOU sweetie :)!
Response: I so loved making this one for you, my dear friend! I just love making the journal pages, and can't imagine EVER not making them. Thank you so, so much for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: Wow those cards are the best!! You did a beautiful job , I love them!! Those will for sure be going into my album of my most favorite thimgs! Thank you so much for sending them to me :):)::)
Response: It's impossible NOT to have fun with these, isn't it? Each set is something i look forward to, and tr to do something slightly different than the sets that came before.Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Thank you, Donetta, for this beautiful ATC. It's always a pleasure to receive one from you and I'm happy to add your lovely works of art to my collection. Thank you for the extras you enclosed too.
Response: I loved making this one for you, and I'm happy to have made you happy!
Comment: I love the ATC you made for me .The theme was different but different is good in my book.Hope you do more of these fun swaps. Thanks once again for everything, sweet girl.I truly value your friendship.
Response: No more than I value yours, Linda! Thank you for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: Your stacked rolo was amazing! You have such a knack for layering just the right embellishments and details and end up with beautiful creations every single time! The crocheted trim you used looks vintage? And tell me where you get the paper doilies you use? I can find the white but not the metallic. Thanks for all the fab extras as well. Love the vintage mini dictionary pages and the image of the gypsy lady is fantastic. As always, swapping with you is such a treat!!
Response: Oh my dear Laurie! Those paper doilies...I did buy a package of very lacy big doilies (gold) that I use pieces of every so often, but usually I find them in the wedding section at Michaels or JoAnn Fabrics. I just ordered a bunch from Michaels online...they are by Martha Stewart, and I even found some in copper!!! Than you so much for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: I am in love with this dragonfly! I love how you added the mesh over the whole image. What a brilliant effect. The postcards you sent are divine as well. Would that not be a lovely thing to get in the mail from a loved one today. So sad such gentle and pretty details are lost in today's hustle and bustle. Thanks so much for your generosity!
Response: I am only reciprocating for the many generous packages you've sent my way over the years! And I completely agree that we have lost some of the loveliness of life as we've become more and more dependent upon electronic communication. Thank you so much for another great rating!
Comment: I saw this outstanding journal page at Flickr, but I didn´t realize it was for me... But to find it from the envelope today made me almost cry out loud as this is even more stunning for real. And you´re right, Graphic45-papers and images seem to already have it all within themselves, but still you´ve managed to add just the right final touch to this page. I LOVE it and just how lovely you´ve made also the back of the page, wow! Thank you a million times for making my day and also for the wonderful extras!
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! I loved making this for you. I admire your beautiful makes so much; it means the world to receive such a compliment from you! Thank you, Pirjo-Liisa...you are a wonderful swap partner.
BOOOOOtiful as always, I like that expression on her face and I really love that trim you used, Iv'e never seen it before.
How can someone as busy as you have time to create such great things?
Response: Oh Kathie...you are the kindest lady in Swapville! I am so happy you like the gypsy ATC (ribbon doll is en route to you now)...thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sweet words and for the great rating. You made my day!
Comment: Delicate little fur puffs! Lovely. Thank you again for a great swap & the extras.
Response: Dianne, I received the MOST amazing inchies for this swap, and it made me want to class up my act and try to be more adventurous. I wish I'd made something more exciting for you this time...but future small art items will be more...well, more! Thank you as always for your lovely comments and great ratings...you are wonderful!
Comment: Oh Donetta! Your Rockettes card is wonderful. The "New York" foreground is fabulous and the fussy cuts on the dancers is perfection. You have managed to express a lot of excitement within this little canvas. This card is a great ending to the other beautiful swaps I have received for this series. Thank you for the top- of -the line extras you sent, too. I have always wanted some of the Chinese coins. See you around the mailbox! Sue
Response: Loved making this for you...now I'm wondering about your next series! I love the series swaps so much! Thank you for such a lovely comment (I'm needy these days!) and for the great rating. You are a wonderful swap partner AND friend.
Comment: You never fail to come up with the coolest atc’s! Love the cute images and the 3-D effect! The red gems just add to the fun! The back is really pretty as well ... love the extras! Thanks as always for the smiles
Response: Kathryn, you made my day. Thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful comment, and (of course) for the great rating. xo!
Comment: Donetta... I am so happy that we waited for a bit... I did get your spring rolo when I got home! I found it in my mail today. Hooray! I love it. So intricate... so much to look at! Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful mini rolo for me :-) Extra Hearts... <3 <3 <3 <3
Response: Thank you for the lovely compliment, Lesley...I so love the rolos, both to make and to receive! It's always a pleasure to swap with you!
Comment: What a darling May Tag! I love all the pink...can never have too much pink! I love the cute whimsical girl images and the little bird on the bike. The bling, soft pink lace roses and the sweet ribbons just make it perfect! This will be wonderful in my tag book. Thank you so very much Donetta; and thanks for the vintage post card...what a great treat!
Response: I really am loving our tag swaps...every tag I've received has been amazing, and I can't wait to see the whole book assembled!
Comment: Oh Donetta, I am so happy to have these beauties in my collection! They are so pretty! Love the images, the corrugated card board, the little gold metal elements and, omg...the gorgeous beads! Thank you so very much for the lovely swap and the bead samples. I am a happy girl!
Response: I loved making these, Debbie...I really did. Thank you for always leaving such lovely comments.
Comment: As usual you've created a wonderful masterpiece. Love the sparkle on their wings and the tiny jeweled headbands/crowns. It's a great picture. Thanks also for the vintage goodies you sent me-always fun to have something with handwriting on it and the lace piece is beautiful! It's been hot here lately too but actually feels good after the long winter. Of course, I'm inside with the air conditioning most of the time so that makes a difference. Always great to hear from you my friend!
Response: I just love swapping with you! Thank you for the sweet message and for the happy little heart!
Comment: Love, love this pretty journal page. So gorgeous with the great layers and embellishments. I love the yellow color. Another wonderful swap from you! Love the extras too...thanks for everything!
Response: I do so love the creative collage series...it's a chance to do what we want, without the constraints of a theme. I do love the themes, but every once in awhile it's nice to just spread my wings. You are the kindest of swap partners, Debbie...I just love swapping with you!
Comment: Donetta, these are so very pretty! I loved them when I saw them on Flickr, but I was so delightfully surprised when I opened your envelope (I never look to see who I am receiving a swap from). Each one is a beauty on it’s own! Thank for these beauties and the wonderful extras.
Response: I never peek at my partner, either! I loved making these, and I'm thrilled that you like them. Thank you for another beautiful red heart rating!
Comment: Donetta, This ATC put a smile on my face!. The six bridesmaids int he lavender dresses were a happy surprise. The lace and tiny touches of lavender bling were really well done and the fussy cut of the roses is amazing. I will look for to using the lovely dresden and bit of lace you tucked in. Thank you for another beautiful swap, Sue
Response: I do enjoy the "series" swaps, and I'm sad to see that somehow I missed 7. I'll have to make one of my own to fill that space. It's always a joy to swap with you, and thank YOU for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: I am the lucky owner of one of the most beautiful cards ever! I am not exaggerating... the colors are gorgeous and the image and the light dusting of sparkle on the skirt... not sure how you do it but you do! Thank you so much for this..,
Response: This was one of my favorites, too. I am so happy to have made you happy! Thank you for putting the comment on my profile, too...it's just the extra step that makes you such an amazing swap partner and friend!
Comment: This is just exquisite! You do such lovely atc’s... the image is gorgeous and those perfect dots of gold are subtle and just right.. thank you for this beautiful work and I am loving the tissue you sent!!
Response: Kathryn, it is such a pleasure to see your name as my "send to" partner...you are always so complimentary and sweet! Thank you so much for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: That lipstick, lol! So racy for that time. I too have severe hair envy of those ladies. My Mom had lovely hair, thick and wavy. My older brother got it and I got my Dad's. Much like yours, thin and straight as an arrow. Even after chemo when others got chemo curl, mine was still poker straight...
Response: The lipstick...did I go overboard with my gloss pen? Sometimes I look at my glossy-lipped ladies and think to myself, Would she really have gone out like this? LOL...my ladies are very, very brave! Thank you so much for the great rating, my friend!
Comment: I love this! Ferns are my absolute favorite plants and your ATC shows them off beautifully. I love the layered ferns, the sweet, embellished butterfly and that lovely tatted trim. You always find a way to put everything together in the best way, my friend. I love receiving your work! Thanks for another DO (Donetta Original) to add to my collection ;+) p.s. thanks for the generous tatted trim--I'm parsing it out like gold!
Response: I loved making this for you! I'm so happy you like it, and equally happy with the beautiful heart rating!
Comment: You know I´m always more than pleased to receive something from you and this time makes no exception :)! I adore this your beach-themed ATC and it makes me think about the summer which is so close ahead already. Thank you so much for bringing sunshine into my long day at work!
Response: Thank you so much for your sweet comment and great rating...it is always a pleasure to swap with you!
Comment: Oh Donetta what a beautiful rolo I just love what you made, so many different elements it is just gorgeous. You will laugh, we are just going into winter here and my jonquils are almost ready to flower!!! It was such a big shock to come home from Central Aus yesterday with the lovely warmth and then today it was soo cold brrr.
Once again thanks for another great swap 💕
Response: i am so happy to have made you happy, Ros! It's been a very long winter here, and is still quite chilly...but the summers are so hot and humid that I'm actually enjoying the chill! I loved making this for you...thank you so much for the lovely comment and rating!
Comment: The little handmade scrap flowers are so pretty... I love them. I can’t wait to use them on my future projects. Thank you so very much for the incredibly gorgeous lace or lace doilies...so, so pretty. Very nice swap Donetta, as always!
Response: Well...I kind of struggled with these. I'm hunting for a pair of scissors that gives a "torn" look rather than a clean cut. Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating, Debbie!
Comment: Donetta, thank you very much for the lovely April tag. So darling and will be beautiful in my tag book. Love it! Thank you also for the beautiful lace (doilies I think?).
Response: You always leave the nicest comments...thank you so much for that! I bought an eBay "lot" of tatted doilies and trim, and I was astonished at how much I received. The hours that someone spent making these! I want to share them with my besties...most of them are small enough to use in our artwork, so they can be admired forever.
Comment: More beautiful goodies from my dear friend! Of course I love them all but my absolute favorite is the nest on 'The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomon' . . . spectacular. I never thought to cut out parts of napkins. How do you get your decoupaged pages so wrinkle-free? I've given up on Mod Podge and mostly use Collage-pauge but sometimes that doesn't work well either. What's your secret? Thanks so much for the wonderful assortment of napkins you sent to me; I can't wait to use them!
Response: LOL...I heard the song in my head as I was gluing your bird images to the music page, and I'm hearing it again...such a beautiful song! My big secret is...wait for it...glue stick! I slather it onto the page, and then carefully press down the flimsy little napkin images. I certainly go outside the area I need for the image, but once the glue is dried, you can't even tell. I use a LOT of glue stick...my very best tip is to glue the surface and also glue the back of the image. Of course, it's impossible to do this with napkins...but somehow (probably because they are so thin) they stick beautifully with just the one application of glue. As always, you are my favorite swap partner in the whole world!
Comment: I love the bee GOthic arch! Love the little corner details and the bee charm. Thanks for the “groovy” pattern pages and the Hollywood gossip plus the birdies- my cats are watching them now as I write this! Hope all is well in the health department-I’m still at physical therapy for my knees and they feel so much better that I may graduate soon. Thanks again for being a wonderful partner!
Response: This was a happy accident...I was so lucky to find a dictionary page in my stash that had a usable word! I loved making this one for you, and I'm thrilled to hear that your knees are doing better. We must keep our joints functioning...the alternative is dire!
Comment: Thanks for the beautiful vintage journal page. The French theme is so fun! And the Eiffel Tower charm is the perfect finishing touch.
Response: I've been waiting for the right opportunity to use that charm, and I'm so happy you were the recipient! I loved making this for you, Martha. Thank you for your lovely comment and for the sweet heart rating!
Comment: You never fail to deliver a wonderful swap! And always one I wish I’d thought of .. the pink in this one is just the right touch as always ... especially the tiny bit you added to the girls...thank you so much for everything ... and
Response: I loved making this one, Kathryn, and I always adore seeing your name as my swap partner, in either direction! Thank you for your lovely comment and for the gorgeous heart rating!
Comment: You did a great job making this turtle scene-love the dimension and the many turtles just chillin' here and there! What fun ephemera you sent me! Thanks for sharing! My ceiling in my craft room is finally done after it had fallen a couple month earlier due to amt of snow and ice jams we have had. That's great but I have a retreat this weekend and can't be home to put all the furniture and supplies back into the room which I am itching to do! I am going to make new curtains for there but I need different rods put up-so that's on my husbands honey-do list while I'm off crafting this week-end!
Response: I struggled with this theme, I really did. Turtles. Yet somehow, in the end, it came together. I know your roof issue was horrible...but now you are able to reorganize and possibly discover treasures you'd forgotten about!
Comment: Beauty abounds! Donetta, your sweet lady with her tatted background and bindi necklace is gorgeous! The spray of roses is the perfect pink and I love the music background. And that rose on the back? Perfection! Your work is always impeccable and a joy to receive. Thank you for another beauty to add to my ever-growing little art journal.
Response: Ah, Kristy...it is always such a joy to have you as my swap partner! I do love the format of our journal pages, it's a great little size...although I confess that I am equally loving the larger pages as well...4x6; 5x7...I'm actually enjoying them more than the wee ones! Thank you as always for your thoughtful comments and beautiful heart ratings...you are the BEST!
Comment: Oh my, where do I start!?!? This is absolutely beautiful and perfect! I feel the need to frame this beauty! A gorgeous work of art Donetta! Love every beautiful layer and the great embellishments. Love, love, love! Thank you so very much this and extra, extra hugs and thanks for the extras. That handkerchief! Love!
Response: I loved this swap theme, and feel the need to host more like this (maybe different sizes). Thank you for the most amazing and uplifting comment and great rating!
Comment: So cute, this sweet little froggey in her tutu! Love everything about this ATC. The bee is awesome and I love the cute words! Darling! Thank you so very much for the wonderful extras...especially the beautiful vintage hankie which I cherish so much!
Response: Debbie, have you seen the hankie dolls on Pinterest? Be still my heart! They are amazing! I have a doll or two in mind for my little hankie stash...oh, yes I do! And thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Hi Donetta! I loved this Rolo when I saw it on Flickr but I didn’t realize it was going to be mine, so when I opened up your envelope I was so excited it was mine. So, so cute! I love it! I especially love the curtains and jam jar. So sweetly vintage. Thank you! And thanks for the lovely extras.
Response: This one just kind of made itself. Quite often I will sit with my computer on my lap while watching TV, and I'll fill pages with images that appeal to me, even if I don't have an immediate use for it. Like collage sheets. Well, they ARE collage sheets. And then I print them and have a folder of random images to look through when planning an ATC or a rolo. Hence the curtains and jam jar! Thank you for your always-wonderful comments and for the heart ratings...I just love swapping with you!
Comment: Thanks for these great stacks! New green and 10 deer in the back yard tonight! They are beautiful! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: It's been a tough winter here, and the birds were my first sign that spring might eventually arrive. It was a pleasure to make these stacks, like a little bit of spring in paper form! Thank you for the heart rating, Sherry!
Comment: This is breathtakingly lovely.. so many elements I keep finding something new to admire .. so creative and the asymmetric design really draws mye in.. I just wish it were a large scale prince to hang in my wall!! Love it and all the great extras ...thank you for being my partner.. lucky me!
Response: I do love the Asian themes! Kathryn, thank you so much for the beautiful comments and great ratings you leave...it is such a pleasure to swap with you!
Response: I'm really enjoying this series, although I totally underestimated the amount of time it would take each month. Thank you for the great rating...I had a wonderful time making these APCs for you!
Comment: Oh my Goodness I LOVE this March Tag! You did an Amazing work on this, it is so very Beautiful with all the shades of Green! The little girls are so adorable with their green dresses and hats. I love your attention to the details with the green bling accented throughout as well as the pearl drop trim. I have to mention the gorgeous trim with green, white and gold and the gold bee metal charm. I am so pleased to have your tag in my collection book. Thank you for all the extra goodies, they are very much appreciated and thanks for hosting this monthly swap I am having lots of fun with it.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Response: Honestly, I'm having the most fun with this swap series! Every tag I've received has been ah-mazing, and I can't wait to tie them all together. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment and great rating, Kim!
Comment: I do remember the days of Sheryl and Bev T and their lovely works of art...I miss their presence on Swapbot too! When I was a newbie on Swapbot it was them Kristy and YOU that inspired me and that I learned from. You still inspire me with beautiful art like this lovely “Lady with a Big Hat”! So pretty. Thank you so very much!
Response: Those were the good old days, for sure...so much has changed! But change is inevitable, and Kristy and I work so hard to keep our groups running and "fresh", so we can keep stellar artists (like YOU!) coming back! Thank you so much for your friendship, and for your beautiful artwork...and for always giving the nicest ratings and comments!
Comment: Beauty personified! Donetta, I do the happy dance whenever I see that you are my sending partner! You have the soul of an artist, my friend, and it shows in all your beautiful work. I love these and will save them for very special works of art. Thank you, my dear friend!
Response: I do have a "thing" for the layered embellishments...such a pleasure to make. Thank you as always for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: I love this journal page also. The collage is wonderful. You still have it. Your journal pages are always beautiful.
Response: I felt such a sense of freedom with this swap, having completed all surgeries and gotten rid of the clunky orthopedic boot...it was a pleasure to sit at the craft table! Thank you for your lovely comment and wonderful ratings...you are a wonderful friend!
Comment: It turned out beautiful. I love it. I know what you mean when you begin to see a task turn into a mountain. I felt that way before I started mine, but once I started I really enjoyed doing it. I guess the unknown had something to do with it. I loved the snippet roll. It was well worth the wait. Thank you for hosting again.
Response: It DID feel overwhelming...but whenI broke it down into (mental) sections, it was tons of fun. Someday, in the FAR future, I may host another snippet roll swap! Thank you for your patient and your kindness!
Comment: Well this one was really fun - a bit of a change for the regular GAA. And I love your little house with the children and the black kitty. "HOME" says it all! You are the best swap partner and I love everything you have ever sent me!!
Response: I don't know why I had a hard time with this swap...I've made plenty of little houses in the past, but this one...I struggled. You are a very kind swap partner, Laurie...very kind indeed!
Comment: Donetta: Happy mail day and I got two things from you! This circus rolo is just amazing - every image and the bits of bling and the red trim - perfect! Even the back side is awesome! Thank you for another amazing swap and for the fun goodies you sent - I especially like the fish!
Response: I do love the occasional circus theme...the images are so bright and fun. I also love swapping with you!
Comment: wow! I love the ATC :) thanks for the extras too! and thank you for contacting me about the # mix-up!
Response: I really enjoyed making these...the St. Patricks images are just so cute! I'm feeling ridiculous for not reading (or not retaining) the fact that the swap involved two ATCs for two partners...but I caught on when I received my own swap envelopes. Thank you for allowing me to send the additional ATC without a penalty!
Comment: Donetta, I love this pretty bird tag! I love the combo of polka dots and floral patterns. The bird is gorgeous and I love it when you use your geli pens...it’s amazing how just a few little “dots” can enhance the images. The beautiful flowers and lace at the bottom finish this tag off perfectly! Thank you for such a lovey swap!
Response: It's funny, but i used to have almost a paranoia regarding tags. I just knew I couldn't make them! And now that I'm making them, I can't imagine NOT! Thank you for such a wonderful "review"...and of course for the lovely red heart.
Comment: Donetta, thank you so very much for the darling “In the Garden” Rolo. So sweet! I love the background and the cute little one holding the basket of flowers. The back is equally pretty. Very nice swap!
Response: Thank you, Debbie...for the lovely comment and wonderful heart rating...I believe I find the larger rolos more satisfying than the small ones!
Comment: Donetta, this ATC is so SO pretty. I love the newsprint background and the pretty little shamrocks. Thank you for this wonderful addition to my collection as well as for the dresden and washi tape. A delightful swap, as usual. Sue

I can't wait to use the worded tissue you sent. Thank you for another wonderful swap and for being so supportive of me and this series., See you at the mailbox. Sue

Thank you for the card!
Response: It's such a pleasure to be swapping with you again...and thank you so much for being such a generous and kind swap partner!
Comment: Ooooh la la Donetta you have done it again! She is perfect and your colors accent each other so well. My favorite detail is that little touch of iridescence on the ribbons of her hat. :) Thank you once again for a fabulous piece of art!
Response: Oh Mandy, thank you so much...you made my day! I am afraid that my ATCs all look alike...this one is certainly recognizable as one of mine! I am so happy you like this one!
Comment: You always make such wonderful projects. I hope you are feeling better now-I go to dr again today to see about my knees. I really like all the imagery and "do-dads" you used to decorate these. I didn't do month 3 as because the roof was falling and finally fell in my craft room but I am doing month 4. Take care nd thanks again for the wonderful creations!
Response: You are just the best, Georgene...and I know how horrible joint pain can be, particularly if it's chronic. I now have prosthetic knees and prosthetic toes...God knows what's next! All my hopes and wishes for a quick an easy roof repair, and for your pain to take a hike!
Comment: I wish I could give you more hearts for this swap. You have been so very lovely to send this beauty to me - which is just amazing, even the back is beautiful - but to also send a gorgeous journal page which I had lusted after. Also for the resend of that angel swap. You have truly out done yourself. Thank you so very much 💕💗💐
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy, Ros! I've had it in my mind since Christmas that I would make you a version of the pink Christmas journal page, so I'm happy to have completed it and sent it your way. I used the same angel image as the original ATC (lost in transit), but since I forgot to take a picture of the original, I winged the rest of the ATC. I'm thrilled that you like everything!
Comment: Amazing atcoins, Donetta! Love the choice of paper dolls and the teeny-tiny metallic trim! So many layers and textures! I thought you had used pink ink on the "beauty and grace" one but when I took it out of the plastic sleeve, I could feel the texture and realized it was lace! Thank you dear friend, for these beautiful coins to add to my collection!
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! I do love the coins...maybe because they're new-ish? Just a fabulous little arty format, whatever the reason. Thank you for being so generous with your praise and the rating!
Comment: Hi Donetta, Another nice swap from you!. You are my inspiration for layering. I look forward to using the great extras you tucked in. Thank you for everything and for being so supportive of the series. See you at the mailbox! Sue
Response: Oh Sue, I love the "challenge" swap themes! Color series, "pick 3", 3 elements, and so forth...for some reason, they are very enjoyable to make...I usually stay away from "sender's choice" type swaps, and I just realized that it's probably because I require some direction! Thank you for the sweet comment and for the wonderful rating.
Comment: So very pretty! I love this ATC card! I will never get tired of your beautiful ladies and roses! Always different and always gorgeous! This one is no exception! Love the bling in her hair. Thank you for this lovely swap and the wonderful extras. 💕

Response: I'm a bit sorry that Valentine's Day is over for this year...there's something so sweet about those vintage images (and in certain cases, I'm a sucker for Betty Boop)! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and wonderful rating!
Comment: As always I love the images you choose. Don't know where you find them... Can't imagine in real life how long it would have taken to braid all her hair. Love the extras! Thanks my friend, it is always a pleasure to swap with you as well!
Response: Oh, those braids! Hours and hours (and hours), I imagine! Fortunately all I did was cut her out...doing all that braiding would be exhausting! Thank you for another great rating, my dear friend!
Comment: oh Donetta...there are not enough hearts available to give you for how much I LOVE this ATC!! Where did you find that pig image?? It melts my heart how cute it is!! You totally made my week when I opened her!! Thank you so, so much for it and the fun extras!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Comment: Donetta, this card is beyond cute! The sweet little mousie is just precious and your bow is the perfect touch. You are the mistress of embellishments! I'm crazy for any vintage nature theme so this one really speaks to me. Thanks for another lovely swap!
Response: LOL...one of the REAL "mistresses of embellishments" has shared her title with me! I loved making this one...my fingers obviously knew it was for you, because it just kind of fell into place. I just love swapping with you, my dear friend!
Comment: Such a pretty and very vintage Paris Rolo. You always have such great artistic talent in the way you place your images. Love the way you use roses to put the “icing on the cake” on your work. Love her necklace and glamorous lips. Beautiful! Thank you so very much!
Response: Thank you so much, my sweet friend...I just love having you as a swap partner!
Comment: Donetta, what a beautiful journal page! I fell in love with it when I saw it on Flickr and so happy to have it for my collection! The lovely lady image is so stunning and love the way she is placed in front of that gorgeous colored rose. Now, for the glorious embellishment cluster, actually both of them (so lucky to have one on the back too!), very, very pretty! This is definitely one of my favorite little works of art! Thank you so very much for the great swap and extras.
Response: Debbie, thank you so much for this spirit-lifting, generous comment and rating...I've been struggling for the past week (my second foot surgery was last Friday, and I'm in a boot, using a knee scooter...so uncomfortable. To make matters worse, I was stuck at my sister's house (that sounds terrible...she has a beautiful home and is a wonderful, caring hostess)...but we were truly stuck due to the polar vortex "storm of the decade", and my cats were 40 miles south, in my apartment, with 3 days worth of food and kitty litter. I was panic-stricken! Luckily, I came home today to find that they were alive and well (hungry!)...and I saw your rating. You made my week!
Comment: What a beautiful Rolo/Coin!. It does lokk like that here. We have had lots of snow lately and then bitter cold-so the snow is going nowhere! I like all the vintage coke ad-beautiful lace piece and the sometimes humorous page from a yearbook-get a load of some of those hairdo's! Thanks for sharing. I noticed a different return address for you-did you move?
Response: Thank you, my friend! I loved making this for you! I did move...my sister gave me 30 days to re-home my cats (hell, no!) or find a new place to live. I chose to find a new place to live...WITH my girls!
Comment: She is BEAUTIFUL (and eminently queenly ;+) Donetta, you always put just the right touches on everything you create. I absolutely ADORE the color combo on this on. It's just so pretty; I can't stop looking at it! Thank you, my friend, for always sending your best work. Hogs from Ohio!

Comment: Thank you for these beautiful layered embellishments!! I will have to use them in my own personal journal as I wouldn't want to give them away. If it wasn't for this swap I don't think I would have tried them. They are so much fun to make I know I'll be making them again. Thanks also for the pretty extras.

Response: You are the loveliest of swap partners! Thank you so much for your kind words and for the heart rating!
Comment: Hi Donetta! This was my first time making this type of embellishment also. I really enjoyed it. I really love how they are so antique-y... is that a word? lol. Thank you also for the extra one! They are fun, and I am going to try to make more for future journals and scrapbooks. THANKS!

Pinkilicious! That's not a word, is it? But the colors are simply gorgeous and that's the most opulent Dresden trim I've ever seen. Thank you, thank you! Happy New Year!

Comment: Donetta what a truly beautiful purple card. Yes purple is my favourite colour too. I just love everything about this card, the sparkling background the lovely lady in her spring hat. I love how you turned it into a Gothic arch as well. Very clever.
I’d like to wish you a very happy Christmas and a fabulous 2019.
The weather here has been very tropical we’ve had really hot days followed by massive storms in the afternoon. I’d love to have just one white Christmas 🎄❤️

Comment: Donetta: Oh how I love my VJP Halloween page! You have an amazing knack or talent for putting together the best elements to complete a perfect piece, and this is a good example of how well you do it! So much time and care - the little windows in the haunted house even look like they have glass in them! So much attention to detail - both on the front and the back! And I'm gonna' have to get some more doilies - I love how you use them! Thank you for another wonderful swap and for the little package of extra goodies - love getting goodies! Laurie
Response: I had so much fun with this one, Laurie...I just love the process of layering and embellishing; I even enjoy all the "fussy cutting"! Thank you so much for being the best-ever swap partner!
Comment: Absolutely LOVE this ATC, the tone and design are amazing. I love the top of the ATC, I am going to try to do that at some point. And the little packet of tags, love them. Thanks for a really wonderful swap.
Response: Gina, you made my day...thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating! It's always a pleasure to have you as a swap partner.
Comment: This little APC caused you a lot of trouble, but it's here and we can close this swap down finally! I wish I knew where the first one went; it would have been put on display since my grandsons were on your mind :)
Response: Yes...finally, after so much "muchness", we can close this swap. I'm sad about the first APC; it's been on my Flickr page for a long time...it's 3 little vintage boys in old-fashioned bathing "costumes" at the shore, and I made some of the sand gold, and added some of the tiny charms in the shapes of starfish and scallop shells.
Comment: Oh boy, where do I start with this gorgeous, beautiful piece of art! Love each and every lady and her hat and the way you made her and her background page so elegant! I will cherish this sweet little book with all the sweet little tuck-ins. It will be displayed in my craft room for me to enjoy it’s beauty every time I walk by it. Thank you so much Donetta.
Response: This mini flipbook was SO MUCH FUN! It was a joy to put together and I loved every minute of it.
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely collage journal page. As usual, your art work is just outstanding! I love the teal/turquoise color of the background. The gold accents, vellum border, the tiny bit of burlap (??), the texture of the waves and the actual image are just wonderful. Oh, and that gorgeous butterfly! Just beautiful! Thank you Donetta.
Response: Thank you so much, Debbie. I just love creating things for you!
Comment: Lovely, lovely June bride with her bling and gold accents. Can’t help but mention her handsome groom! I always admire your perfectly fussy-cut vintage roses that you often use in your swaps, which are always placed so beautifully. Thank you Donetta for always sending such lovely works of art.
Response: It's so true about the roses; I use them (more than any other flower) in so many of my pieces. This one came together on its own, almost.
Comment: Donetta, I love this darling, whimsical Marie rolo holding her yummy cake! This is so darling! Love the blue and yellow colors and the gold accents. And those teenie little flowers... so sweet. Thank you so much for the rolo and the wonderful extras!
Response: You know, Debbie, I just loved making this one! I'm sure it was because of the sweetly comical image of Marie Antoinette...so much cuter than the real lady! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Donetta, thank you for the lovely June lady...she is gorgeous in her pearls and with her rose. Love the pretty little brass/gold flowers. Thank you so much for the the great little bits of extras especially the Halloween ones.
Response: Ah, Debbie, thank you so much...it's always a joy to make something for you; almost as much fun as receiving an envelope from you!
Comment: Dear Donetta: I am now the very proud owner of a beautiful VJP from you. She is gorgeous! You always manage to make the most beautiful things and know just the right way to add some shine or sparkle. Love the colors and the images. And thank you for the extra goodies too! Love getting things to add to my stash. Hope the foot is healing???
Response: Laurie, you are the most gracious friend and swapper...thank you so much. I'm really enjoying the craft table again, now that I don't have to elevate my foot all the time!
Comment: Oh, Donetta, you picked the PERFECT illustration. i love the little girl blowing a glittered bubble and those lovely vellum flowers and kite embellishment. SO pretty. The way you put the paper in the center makes it look like a frame. You have the best ideas! You know I always love receiving ANYTHING from you. So sorry I am late rating; I just re-found the package you sent these in on my end table. So glad you are back, my dear friend!
Response: Jessie Wilcox Smith shows the essence of what childhood SHOULD be, imho. The sweetness and innocence...just perfectly lovely. I adore her work, and of course having you for a swap partner is always a happy event!
Comment: Cutest 'coon . . . EVER! He most definitely does look 'determined.' I have such a soft spot for 'coons. In my old house, they used to come in through the dog door and eat the dog's food! Love that brown plaid at the bottom--it matches perfectly!
Response: I was so happy that Rocky the Raccoon found me, so I could use his picture for this swap! I find raccoons adorable but just a bit too determined for my taste. I had one that frequented the "restaurant" on my patio; as soon as I put the cat food out, here he came! And he was the size of a Cocker Spaniel...that's when Lulu started coming in for dinner. No more dining al fresco!
Comment: Donetta, you are the absolute master of fine detail!! This is a really neat picture and I adore the little trowel you glued onto the card! 'War Gardens' . . . . who knew! ha! AND the tiny little ration stamp . . . more detail. As always, anything from you is an absolute joy to receive.
Response: I don't know why, exactly, but I have a fascination with the WWII era...both in Europe and here in the US. My mom's family had a "Victory Garden", and that's where she learned how to can vegetables and fruits so the family could have great food during hard times. I loved making this for you, Kristy...but I always love swapping with you, 'cause you're my bestie!
Comment: I wish everyone could see this excellent card! Where did you get these wonderful images... you have such a creative mind ... again, every bit is just right ... amazing! Thank you so very much!
Response: LOL...all those pointy hats...I found the witches first, and then the cats, and I knew that somehow they HAD to go together. This was another enjoyable afternoon at the craft table, dear Kathryn!
Comment: Love the images! Every detail is absolutely on point... you are certainly one of the premier artists in swap-bot... love your work thank you so much I was out of doilies to use on my atc’s
Response: Oh my! Excuse me while I pick myself up...that is the loveliest, most amazing thing to say, my dear friend! I simply lovely putting all sorts of little related pieces together to make a cohesive little work of art...and I just loved making this one for you! I have found so many wonderful, funky images of the Queen of Hearts! Thank you so much for the lovely compliment, and for the sweet red heart!
Comment: I also love this tag-the sweet kitties on the front and then the silly ones on the back! Thanks again for the extra Halloween extras and glad you liked the kitty address labels I made for you!
Response: Well, this one was pure enjoyment to make...I am definitely a cat lady, and this was right up my alley. Thank you for your sweet comments and wonderful ratings...you are a lovely swap partner!
Comment: I love this ATC-using Popeye's head as the arch! You are so clever! Do you have a scan n cut? There is no way you could fussy cut the lone hairs on Popeye's head. I know because I have a scan n cut and know how amazing it is! Love that you added all the trims and textures to this ATC and the humor of it! Now I'll have What Do You Do with a Drunken Sailor in my head for awhile. I almost used that on my ATC-I had made a sailor too-like minds! Thanks my friend and for all the wonderful extras!
Response: Oh Georgene...I did fussy cut Popeye and everything else on the ATC...I have nothing mechanical that might help! I loved. making it for you, and I'm thrilled that you like it...thank you so much for your lovely comment and (of course!) for the pretty red heart!
Comment: yay! a Donetta original! beautiful as always...loved the various shades of blue and for some reason the delicate silk like ribbon on the side really touched me...thank you so much...and for the butterflies and tags...
Response: Kathryn, you are such a lovely swap partner...thank you so much for your sweet comment and another great rating. The ribbon on your ATC is recycled from silk saris...so exotic! I can't resist them every now and again.
Comment: This page is so so so so pretty. I LOVE the sitting ballerina in a sort of 'swan' position. Romeo & Juliet music! Beautifull rose vellum! A sparkling skirt! You are so creative, my dear friend, and I love receiving anything you create.
Response: I loved making this page for you, dear Kristy...but of course we know that ballerinas are one of my favorite subjects! Thank you so much for your sweet and encouraging comments; they mean the world to me!
Comment: Donetta, these are GORGEOUS! I can't believe the one with the peacock. I cannot WAIT to use these on something. . . ANYTHING! Thank you for choosing such lovely designs for me ;+)
Response: Did you know (because it was new to me) that there are eBay sellers who specialize in these beautiful napkins? They are usually sold in groups of 2 (imagine their profit margin!) or 4. There are so many I want...LOL!
Comment: My friend, lavender never looked so beautiful!! You have such a gorgeous signature style and it shines through in this beautiful ATC. I really miss doing these vintage ladies! Thanks so much for the sweet extras, and the lavender-adorned envelope. I love swapping together!
Response: I glammed her up just for you! I simply adore swapping with you, and hope our swaps never end. You are the loveliest lady I know!
Comment: Ooooooh! Donetta Darling these little creations are wonderful. I just love Marilyn. She was so very beautiful, yet experienced so much pain. :( You definitely did her justice with these beautiful coins. I am loving this medium as well. It is just a little twist, but something magical happens. Thank you so very much for another incredible swap. Much love!
Response: I simply loved making these for you! I am loving that "little bit of difference" that a different format makes, and then, of course, there's Marilyn. They were a joy to make for you!
Comment: Why are you afraid of tags! Such a lovely one you sent me! Your work is always impeccable. Thanks so much!
Response: Oh, thank you, Bev! I now love tags...but I did avoid making them for several years. I believe that your tag swaps dragged me out of my "afraid of tags" zone and into my "WHY was I afraid of tags" zone! Thank you for another lovely comment and great rating...you are just the BEST swap partner.
Comment: Love your pocket. I had a cocker that looked exactly like the one in the pocket. She was the sweetest puppy. Still miss her. Very appropriate atc. Thank you very much. The card is beautiful
Response: I made this ATC as an homage to your supermodel Cocker...Miss Pro Plan herself! I know she is and always will be loved and missed. I am so happy that it made you happy, Pat!
Comment: Just stunning! So many beautiful details and you always put so much care and effort into all your work. Thank you for another beautiful, beautiful swap!!
Response: I just love that particular image...the gypsy lady is so beautiful that it's easy to make a great piece of artwork with her as the focal! Thank you for your sweet comments, great ratings, and patience and kindness, Laurie...you are one of my very favorite swap partners.
Comment: Beautiful as always! Love the little gold elephant charm - have never seen one like it!
Response: I adore those wee charms...they are from an Etsy seller called "Brass Kicker". I particularly love the little seashells and starfish, the flamingos, and the elephants. The Scottie dogs are beyond adorable, too. Thank you so much for being the nicest swap partner EVER, Laurie!
Comment: Beautiful ATC, as always! Love the colors, the beautiful roses with that gorgeous image. Love all the gold. And that butterfly is so pretty and the gems on it take it over the top! Thank you for the wonderful swap and extras my dear friend!
Response: When I'm not able to sit at my craft table, it's a loss...I feel it in my bones. It's something that came to me relatively late in life, but I love it so much...and trading with people like you is what makes it so satisfying. Thank you for your always positive comments, and for the sweet red hearts! I treasure you as a friend and as a swap partner, Lori.
Comment: Darling journal page my friend! I love getting envies from you and I love you work! I love how the fashionable woman is walking in the rain with the spring birds! So cute! Thank you for the wonderful extras! I miss swapping with you!

Comment: Thank you for your wonderful tag!
I am sorry the first one got lost, this was definitely worth the wait though! Love the little leaf chain dangling on the bottom!
This is very special
Love and Light
Response: I am thrilled to have made you happy, Alexis...I loved making this tag for you, and wanted to find just the right image for your fortune teller. It's different than the first one, but I loved that one, too. I hope that wherever it is, it's being appreciated by someone!
Comment: Ya Its here!!! It is so beautiful and worth the wait. Thank you for doing a resend. It makes me sad to think there is another one out there that got lost. I bet it was beautiful. This one I received is just gorgeous. Thank you for doing this for me. It is sitting on my desk so I can show it off to everyone. =)

Thank you so much for your sweet comment and for the great rating...I really am feeling much better; today I felt like I turned a corner in my knee recovery. It's been SO/ painful for SO long, and today...very close to pain-free, I'm so grateful for that!
Comment: Love the tag! You sent quite the package. Thanks for everything. Tim Holtz is fun to play with. I looked at the bride and groom and they sure look young. I am at that age when one wonders if we ever were that young.
Response: I thought the same thing...and then remembered that I was barely 21 when I got married. I would have done my best to dissuade MY daughter from getting married that young!
Comment: You have a wicked sense of humour! Love the card. Thanks so much for all the napkins! I can see I will have a lot to work on . We don't seem to get anything as pretty as what you sent. If you want disorganized you should see my pile of crafting debris!
Response: Oh, the bear came out so much larger than I intended...and my new little Apple MacBook ($1600) had to go in for repairs, and I couldn't print another bear. Apparently I download too much and click on too many "stories" on Facebook...I imported all kinds of strange viral things! Thank you for another sweet comment and great rating, Bev!
Comment: Love it, Donetta. Worth the wait. Hope you continue to recover well. Many blessings.
Response: It's been a trial, I can't lie...I think anything to do with bones and joints is bound to be painful. I am so happy you like the collage...thank you so much for your sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Hi Donetta!! I love the decoupage napkins I just received from you. Where did you find such pretty napkins to use? And I had trouble getting mine to lay as flat as your's are. They will make stunning backgrounds for sure. Always, always a treat to swap with you! Laurie
Response: Thank you, dear Laurie! I confess that I found several sellers on eBay who have gazillions of beautiful napkins "for decoupage" for sale. I buy them in batches of 2 or 4, and I pay more for postage than I do for the napkins! Thank you for the great rating and sweet comment!
Comment: "Happy Birthday Mr President"... What an adorable idea for a Rolo. I love it!! Thank you so much for another gorgeous Rolo. I am excited to add it to my collection. Take Care -Vanne

Comment: My goodness Donetta, I cannot imagine a sweeter little card than the May/ June BTC you sent me! That little figure hanging the laundry is too much, and the girl with her doll under the umbrella...PLEASE. and the way you depicted the months with the tiny music and poem. The rabbits in my yard are sweet until I see them eating my garden, LOL I still enjoy 'hosting' them, I just plant some for them too! But this year I will be putting up metal chicken wire.

You're crafty mojo is back after everything you've been through--and it's even better than before. Your work is always so amazing, my friend. Thanks for sharing it with me!

Comment: As always, very pretty! Thanks for the extras. No worries about me being shocked, in my line of work I saw more nude bodies than an afternoon on a nudist beach. At least the pinups are much prettier, lol! DH is doing much better and almost back to normal. I think me being home all the time agrees with him, lol!

Comment: Lovely as always! Thanks for the extras. Sorry to hear about your losing part of your sewing machine. It always seems you miss something when moving... Perhaps it is put away in another box and you will find it down the road.
Response: (Laughing)...if I'd left the entire sewing machine behind it would have been hard...but to HAVE it, but not the power cord or foot pedal was just horrifying. I bought an entire "new" (vintage) Elna on Facebook for $99.99 because the cord and foot pedal alone were almost $85. It's something I can't imagine doing without. Thank you so much for another lovely rating, dear Bev!

Even when you are feeling glum, you are still a creative force to be reckoned with. I wish you a speedy return to normalcy dear friend, but please do not be too hard on yourself. The sun will shine again. <3<3<3

I did leave the glass out because of those beautiful seam binding ribbons in my favorite color--pink! Such a thoughtful presentation AND subject matter . . . kitties!!+
Response: I know you love kitties...I love them too! I just loved this theme, and hope you host more along the lines of this one. It's always a special day for me when I see that you are my "send to" partner...I've loved making each and every one!

Just so very special as always ...great extras I'll be using this afternoon for a collage! thanks so much!
Response: Once I found that thread advertisement, I knew I had my lady! The centers of the sunflowers are micro beads...you can get them everywhere (online; Michaels; JoAnn; Hobby Lobby), and they are great little accents. They end up everywhere, I will warn you...I find wee beads on my craft table for days after I have put them away! Just make sure you spread your glue exactly where you want the beads...otherwise, you will end up picking them off the areas you want to be plain! Thank you as always for the sweet comment and great rating, Kathryn...it's always a pleasure to swap with you!

Comment: Hello my friend! Your sweet little hummer card is beautiful. I'm so partial to cards with purple, even though it's not my favorite color. You always use the foiled embellishments so tastefully. One would never know you were working with any type of handicap (your stored supplies). You're most definitely 'making it work!'
Response: Ah...hummingbirds! I love them so much...I miss my hummingbird feeder, I really do (I don't think hummingbirds spend the winters in Michigan...although they did stay all year on the west coast. Thank you for another wonderful comment and happy red heart!

Comment: I am so sorry to hear about your misfortune. I have had this happen to me and unfortunately I got a bad rating. I would never do that to anyone, I looked at your profile and you have always sent out your swaps. Thank you for sending it out. I wish you the best on your recovery.
Response: Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding, Brenda. I would never (EVER) flake on a swap, and I wish all swappers were as thoughtful as you.
Comment: Donetta, thank you for the darling, sweet little ATC card... I just love it. Such pretty colors and the little mouse is precious. Beautiful little work of art!
Response: OMG, Debbie! That envelope was missing your PO #, and was returned to me in Washington, then forwarded on to me in Michigan! I was mortified...but so happy that it finally made its way to you!

Comment: Donetta: So glad you are back with us!! Your monochrome green ATC is wonderful! Great elements and images - just fab! It was interesting when I made mine for this swap I realized I don't have that much stuff in green! Cheers! Laurie
Response: Laurie, I feel as if I might never catch up...between the move and my foot surgery, I just can't catch up. My sister goes to the post office for me weekly...but for a swap addict like me, that's about 1/5 of the post office visits I require! Thank you so much for your patience and kindness...and for that beautiful red heart!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful Butterfly Twinchies and goodies, I love them.
Response: I am so happy that you like them! I love twinchies...they satisfy my love for small things without being quite as fussy as inchies. (I love inchies too, though!) Thank you so much for your patience, and for the sweet comment and great rating.
Comment: A kitty fairy! SOOOO cute! Sorry for the late rating; I hung my sweet kitty in my craft room before rating and then, promptly, forgot! I love that you used a kitty, Donetta--it makes it so much more special. Your buttons are all so pretty, too. Thank you for the beautiful art!

Love all those sweet roses, and you even added lipstick to the lady! Just so pretty. Thank you for another beauty to add to my collection!
Response: LOL...she must have gotten lost on the craft table when I sent your package. I was shocked to find a few things I thought I'd mailed ages before. Very humbling...such a dreadful state of disorganization.
Comment: A gorgeous card. Thank you One of your last pre move. Hope you are settling.
Response: Oh yes...I remember sitting at the craft table with tears in my eyes. Not from sadness, really...but I'm not very good with change, and this has been a very big change. Settling in well and had foot surgery yesterday, so I will be almost house-bound for another month or two. Thank you so much for the lovely comment and rating, Bev...I love swapping with you!
Comment: Awww . . . that little girl pouring tea is adorable! There are so many beautiful elements on this one, Donetta. Love the background with the stacked cups peeking out, the bluebird, the polka dots (I love pd's)--all beautifully inked. You even embellished the little girl's bow! Your creations are all beautiful but this one is so pretty and feels so light and airy.
Response: I'm thrilled to have made you happy! I loved making these for you, and can't wait to start the entire swapping process again. And I am equally grateful to have you safely at home again.
Comment: This one's really gorgeous, Donetta . . . I love how you dressed the lady in a gorgeous jeweled necklace and the square burnished gold accents on her gown. You even acented her lips! The color pallette is so unique and just beautiful. She's gazing at the tiny bird perched on her finger with such peace and serenity. Gorgeous.
Response: Oh Kristy, I am thrilled beyond measure to finally be landed (so to speak) and to be at the stage where I'm setting up a craft room (in my poor sister's dining room!). Business (almost) as usual! You know how much I loved making these for you...if I had to pick only one swap partner, it would be you, my sweet friend.
Comment: Beautiful, as always! Love the composition of this one, Donetta--the lovely bluebird, the little bit of music, an your beautifully embellished blue flowers. I studied the short stories of Alice Munro in college, so I loved the postage stamp you chose and my favorite element of all is the lovely scalloped doily with the bird charm flying over. Love it!
Response: LOL...I worried about your package, because it felt like it got stuck in the chute of the blue "outgoing mail" box! I then moved forward to the next box, whereupon Debbie Weber's package got stuck in THAT chute! I am thrilled that the mailperson thought to look up...
Response: Linda, thank you so much...I sincerely hope that now that I'm beginning to settle in (I moved from Washington state to Grand Rapids, MI) I won't be imposing on my swap partners! It is always a joy to swap with you...thank you for being such a lovely swap partner!

Comment: Donetta, this is so darling! This is definitely my idea of a great picnic! This little redhead is so cute and I love the "bubbles" in the glass of champagne. Love all the little details made with your glossy pens. Great swap!
Comment: Lovely, lovely journal page. Love the black accents with the pink and gold colors. Just stunning! Love the little metal Eiffel tower embellishment. I can never have to much Paris themed pieces. Thank you for such a beauty and for the great extras. Love the rice paper. If you get a chance after you get settled from your move maybe you can give me some ideas on how you use. Thank you for such a great swap!
Response: Oh Debbie...thank you so much for the lovely comments...I wish I could express how much they mean to me! The rice paper can be run through a printer and used to overlay maybe a book page...or possibly a very simple design. If you ever have the chance, look on my Facebook page for one of the ladies I follow: Priscilla Magdaleno. This is where I saw the rice paper used...she printed a beautiful blue bird on a branch, and glued it over a printed page. It was simply beautiful, and I had to purchase some for us! I ordered a package of 100 sheets, and received 10 packages of 100 sheets!
Comment: You are so creative and I am so lucky to be your swap partner! When I see your name on an envelope I know I am in for a treat! The colors the image that beautiful tree and the way you used the coin... getting a card from you is like a course in technique.. so good and the extras are beyond terrific .., thanks so much!

Comment: Thank you for the lovely skinny & thank you for re-sending. ♥ ♥ ♥
Response: Shellie, this was a very humbling experience for me...and a reminder to read my partner's profile completely. Thank you for YOUR graciousness in rating, which far exceeds MY graciousness (lack of) when re-sending. I apologize for that, I really do.
Comment: Gorgeous. So pretty and beautifully composed. I love it. Thank you Donetta. Hope the knee is holding up.
Response: Thank you, dear Bev...I always love sending arty bits your way! The knee is fine; now I have a shoulder injury. I have come to the conclusion that I am too old to work such a physical job. :-(

Great image and that tilt of the head fit perfectly with the Gothic arch loved all the papers in the collage... thank you for this card and the marvelous extras!
Response: Ah, Kathryn...thank you for always being the sweetest swap partner. I have so enjoyed getting to know you a bit through Swapbot, and hope we have many years of swappy happiness ahead!
Comment: I love this darling little work of art! In fact, I think your sewing pattern atcs are some of my favorites. I just love all the background textures and details including the itsy bitsy little dots on the dresses. I'm guessing these tiny dots were done with your glossy pens (Lori and I bought some glossy 3D gel pens and we love them).
Response: Debbie, you are without a doubt one of my favorite swap partners. You are kind and accepting, and generous with praise. Thank you so, so much for all you do for me!
Comment: Donetta, I don't know what you are talking about,...this vintage flipbook is fantastic!!! Oh, it's so perfect, I'm just in love with the photos you used (only one freaked me out---ðŸ˜) and I was pleased to see some of your beautiful gold embossing on it, it looks gorgeous! Plus, thank you for the great tuck-ins, I will be using that Dresden in my next project. Thanks for introducing me to the memento mori 💖🌟🸠this little flipbook is just super cool. 💀🖤🖤💀

Comment: This rolo is ADORABLE!!!! I love it! I love the images and the Route 66 is just too cute! I loved your story about the horse. My horse story, I always wanted a horse so badly and finally a friend of my parents gave me a retired barrel racing horse. I had this beautiful horse for one day his favorite snack was a "slow poke" candy. My dad built a fence for my sweet "Tony" and the next morning Tony decided he wanted to go back home. He traveled overnight the 12 miles through town and yes a highway intersection then out in the country to his home. I knew that fence wasn't high enough, lol. I was about 10 years old but I didn't have the heart to go get him and he went through a lot of trouble to go back home so that is where he stayed. I like you got a dog instead, a Saint Bernard, lol. This rolo brings back a lot fond memories, thank you! ðŸ´â¤ï¸ðŸ˜Š
Response: Kim, your story made me laugh...and also want to cry. To come *this* close to having your own horse...only to have him cross a highway and disappear into the night! I feel such a bond with you...our love for horses, and our substitutes...yours a St. Bernard, and mind a Great Dane! Nothing odd there, no ma'am! You are the loveliest of swap partners, dear Kim!
Comment: Donetta, I almost forgot to rate you for this beautiful creation! I got so excited looking through the mermaid book--that's why ;+) I'm still looking to it for inspiration! You always send the most beautiful pieces, my friend. Where would our groups be without inspiration from you?
Response: LOL! Where would our groups be without YOUR inspiration and (let's be honest) perspiration, too? It's hard work, what we do! But...oh, so rewarding, too. Thank you for another lovely comment and fabulous rating, my online best friend!

Response: One I happened upon this artist's ladies I was sunk...if you could have seen me, you would have laughed out loud! I looked...I looked closer...and I said (to the cats), "Oh boy! He is so COOL!" Thank you for hosting this swap; and thank you for being the very best kind of swap partner! You are a treasure.

You found the neatest images to use (you always do) and all your sparkling embellishments are beautiul. Love the shells (why didn't I use shells?) and all the glittery goodness. Your work is always such a pleasure to receive, Donetta.
Response: Kristy, I loved making this for you...I thought of you as I was making each page. And for the record...you DID use shells! I love our similarities...and our differences!
Comment: Love the use of doilies and such a pretty card. Thank you.for another treasure.
Response: Thank you so much, dear Bev...it's always wonderful to swap with you. I really do love the 4x4 format; and I can tell you from personal experience that they make beautiful little albums. I need to make more with the beautiful pages I've collected!
Comment: Donetta, thank you for these sweet, sweet animal twinchies...I truly love them...each and every one of them! The little dog is so darling...I wish I had him (or her) in my lap right night! The bunny is so cute! I love bunnies! I actually have one as a pet. She is so sweet. I got her when I worked at the vet hospital. She was just a little ball of fur. Someone found her in their yard the day after Easter. She had a broken leg so I nursed her until she healed, and well, 7 years later I still have her. Last but certainly not least, the precious little pittie twinchie is so special.and I adore it... you know how I feel about pitties! And yes, FAMILY is definetly what my girl is. Enjoyed these twinchies so much!
Response: You know I thought about you with each and every one of these twinchies...we share a love for animals in general, and for our pittie babies (grandbaby, in my case) in particular. Mine just had her second ACL repair...now both back legs are good as new!
Comment: Hi Donetta - Thanks so much for another gorgeous Rolo. You always find the most beautiful images and you know how much I love the "racy" ones, lol... The design is so pretty, I love it!! Take Care -Vanne

Response: LOL...suffice it to say that I simply love when you are my partner! Thank you for the sweet comments and lovely red hearts, dear Kathryn!
Comment: Wow! Beautiful.. isn't that hedy lamarr? I am a huge fan of old movies I think I've seen them all ... that crown lace is gorgeous by the way..the extras amazing! Especially woodpecker! But what touched me was that 30's ? Bridge card with tassel ... reminds me of the smooth cool thin man movies . I've seen so many old movies I think I lived my "first life" then! Thanks so much!
Response: Thank you so much, Kathryn! That IS Hedy Lamarr...I have learned so much about her; such an unbelievable combination of brains and beauty. I'm so happy that you like the ATC and the extras...the bridge card is very special (I got 3, and had to share 1 with you)...that whole era is fascinating to me!
Comment: I love the darling D BIRD you made!! He's a handsome little bird. I LOVE how you did the image, I'm wanna try that in the future! Thank you for the wonder extras and for being a awesome swap partner!
Response: Hahaha...the Dickcissel! I was a bit stumped at what to do with this bird, so I'm happy that you like the result!
Comment: Another beauty by you!! I love the colors and darling images! That Eiffel Tower with the flowers around it is so cute. AND the Eiffel Tower charm take it over the top! And my favorite sweets of all on the back! I LOVE IT! Thank you for the wonderful extras!
Response: I can't go too long without a Parisian theme! And of course I adore making and receiving BTCs, so this was a no-brainer!
Comment: Oh Donetta, what a beautiful shabby tag. Looks so vintage...I love the image and the colors. Really love the black dots in the flowers. I have to wonder what it is you use for that detail? I absolutely love this tag! Thank you!
Response: Black dots...pretty sure those were made with my gloss pen. They come in different colors, including white and clear. I love them! I just loved making this tag for you!
Comment: Oh Donetta, these tiny works of art are so beautiful! Each and everyone of them is so precious, from the images, lace, pretty dried flower, jewels and the sweet little gold bees just to name a few of the lovely touches...love them so much! Thank you so much for the awesome extras...it was like Christmas! Love every little bit of it and can't wait to use them.
Response: Thank you so much, Debbie...I loved making these for you!
Comment: Thank you so much for such a gorgeous Gothic arch. She is just the cutest ever. I do so hope you have recovered from your very nasty car accident. I just love all the great extras that came with this parcel. How lucky am I to get to swaps in one parcel. The postman even delivered it to my door. They don't normally do that here in Australia💕💕💕
Response: There's something so magical about the fairy swaps...I just love them! I am so happy that you like this one, and that you enjoyed your parcel.
Comment: Donetta - I am sorry you had to resend your flipbook, but PLEASE know that I LOVE the one you sent. It's charming and the goodies included are such fun. I love the gold accent pieces. Where are they from? Thank you so much for such a beautiful swap!
Response: Well, I'm sorry you had to wait...sorry I had to make another...but the truth is, they are fun to make, so it was actually a pleasure! I'm so happy that you like it! The gold accent pieces are actually stickers; I buy them online, usually from a company called Elizabeth Crafts.
Comment: Another fabulous work of art. Love this. Although we missed this era I suspect we shall very soon remember what we call vintage. Just talking this morning about how 1980 was 37 years ago..eeekkkk
Response: It is shocking how quickly time flies by...is it a sign of my advanced age? (Surely not!) Thank you for the lovely comment, and for the pretty red heart...I just love swapping with you, Bev.
Response: I love them too! I've been making some flip books in a smaller size (just a bit bigger than an ATC) and they are just as wonderful to make and to receive. Thank you for the lovely comments and ratings, Johanna!
Comment: Thank you! I always love getting swaps from you, Donetta!💟 The mermaid is so beautiful, I absolutely love her!!💟
Response: It makes me so happy to hear this...I had the feeling that I should have chosen a "profound" word, but this little mermaid kept saying "Use me"! And I'm a sucker for a cute mermaid...I just loved making this one for you, Julie.
Comment: Donetta: Sorry to be late posting this but I loved your dog ATC! Such a sweet picture of a girl and her puppy dog and love all your embellishments and trim. And the gems you included are so pretty! They look old - are they? Never seen any like them, so thank you so much! Till next time, Laurie
Response: I think the gems I sent (oh, my poor memory!) are called bindis (bindi, in singular) from India. Belly dancers use them as belly button accents and in India they are used as temporary jeweled tattoos. I love them, and keep buying them! I paid $25 for 100 of them, and expected 100 individual jewels. Instead, I received a large bag from India, with 100 packages, each containing anywhere from 3 to 10 of the bindis!
Comment: I love the beautiful ACT you made! So elegant just like the ballerina! I'm always in awe when I see your work! Thank you for the wonderful extras and ACT!
Response: Lori, thank you so much for the lovely comment and great rating! I love ballet...my daughter danced for 10 years...it's one of my all-time favorite themes. I just love it when you're my partner!
Comment: Thank you for the most beautiful card ever. She is so gorgeous and the gold makes her shine even more. I am sorry the first card did not find me but what an amazing card I now own. Thank you for the perfect rubber stamp which I will use a lot. Your absolutely amazing. Hugs, Mona
Response: Mona, you've made my day! Thank you for such a lovely comment...I loved making this one for you, so much so that I didn't even regret the loss of the first one (almost). I bought a tin full of those postal stamps, and have a few that I've never used...that being one of them. I'm so happy you like it!
Comment: What a delight to see your return address on an envelope this afternoon! I don't remember when I last had that pleasure, so I enjoyed getting into what that beautiful envelope carried across the miles. I would like to find more sources for fussy cutting images for ATCs, BTCs, etc. The ones on your BTC are perfect. I still haven't found my old ring holding the BTCs from last year in the boxes emptied from moving. Only a few boxes remain, so I hope to get to them soon. We are stopping to get some major furniture pieces cleaned up and ready for the community--wide garage sale on Saturday. We pared down LOTS before leaving our old house (I do miss it some days--especially that big old oak tree outside my art room window!), but we still ended up with more that we have room for. A few pieces will be hard to part with as they have STRONG emotional ties that I must get past. I can still carry the memories of who gave them to me as a child even if the actual pieces of furniture are gone. They are only "things" and we truly cannot find space for them. So I hope we have success selling them on Saturday so that it's done and behind us. AND, we will be able to park at least one car in the garage.
Thanks for a wonderful swap!<3 <3 <3
Response: Ah, Peggy...the ties that bind are so hard to let go...you have my empathy. Here's hoping you find your binder ring, because we have more of these swaps coming down the pike! Thank you so much for the lovely rating!
Comment: Once again you have created magnificently! How on earth did you cut out that tiny border!? They say the devil is in the details, but I say Donetta Is in the details. Thank you so very much. I love it!
Response: Oh, so much fussy cutting! Thank you for the lovely comment (*blushing furiously*)...you are the best!
Comment: Lalalala! I absolutely love it when you are my swap partner. You have such a penchant for creating delectabe delights of the paper variety! I like how you let the napkin inform the theme. Everything works perfectly together from the cherry blossome to the Asian beauty and from the Chinese characters to the embossing. Another triumph darling Donetta! Thank you so very much!!!!
Response: Oh, my dear Mandymo, you leave the sweetest comments! Thank you so much for that...and of course for the sweet red heart. You are the best ever swap partner!
Comment: Oh Donetta, I am so pleased to have this in my possession! Such a beautiful work of art, really! Princess Grace's image is so pretty and ethereal and the background is stunning. I love the use of the gold/bronze leaf...along with the colors just stunning! Thank you for the lovely extras. I especially love the tiny little jewels which I think must be more of the jewels from India!??. Thank you so much for this wonderful swap...always special to receive your swaps.
Response: Princess Grace has always seemed so elegant and lovely...it was such a pleasure to use one of her photos as a swap theme. Oh, those tiny jewels...they are from China, and they are (believe it or not) sold as fingernail/manicure accessories. The horror...yet I keep buying them, because I love the teensiness of them! Thank you for another wonderful comment and rating, my dear friend!
Comment: How beautiful-I didn't even realize it was late! Such a sweet girl and her even sweeter kitty! Love the adornment in her hair and thrilled you sent me some extra! Thanks for the extra mica/gold leaf sheet-I know how to use it though I may not know how to correctly name it! You do such gorgeous work and am always glad to add your to my collection-Thanks for sharing!
Response: I feel as if I'm on a treadmill...and I'm losing ground! Between working way too much for an old lady, and recovering from the horrible car accident (still a work in progress), I can't seem to catch up. Thank you for being so lenient with me, and so generous with your praise!
Comment: donetta! lovely work...I also really like the erbit images...vintage and romantic...wonderful gothic arch...really like the slanted pieces ..they add so much to the overall composition...but I have to say those three wavy gold strips took my artistic breath away...what an addition to this atc...love love the tiny gem pieces and the butterfly papers...but that envelope and note were made with a paper I once had and used every inch of it...where did you get it? thanks so much for a great swap as always...
Response: Kathryn, I can't imagine why I didn't respond to your lovely comment until now...am I getting THIS forgetful? Let's hope it was just a glitch! Thank you for your sweet compliments...they mean the world to me. The envelope and note...I've been making those from a HUGE paper pad I bought at Michaels or JoAnns...I think it has over 350 sheets of paper. I bought it specifically for the envelopes/note cards, but of course I put the scraps to good use, too. I'm pretty sure that pad is still in production and available...you'll know it by it's size!
Comment: Donetta, thank you, thank you! I swear that image was in my childhood Red Riding Hood book! I love it. ...just perfect. And thank you too for your generous extras! Something from me is on the way to you. Hope you're better!
(It's been a long day. Heaven knows why I posted your comment on the swap page. Chagrin here...)
Response: Of course I had to return to the swap page to read what you'd written...and now you've made me LOL! I was admitted to the hospital for another couple of days, so I'm behind on my ratings and comments (and, once again, on my swaps). I just love the fairy tale themes...and very happy that this one was meant for you. Thank you for being the best imaginable swap partner, dear Nancy!
Comment: This is just gorgeous. I keep picking it up and finding something new every time. Thank you so much,xx 100 hearts!
Response: Honestly, I am so, so happy that you like it! It took days to make, but now I realize that there is a much easier way to make a flip book! I was so "into" this project...and so thrilled that you were my partner. Thank you for such a lovely comment and rating, my dear friend!
Comment: Dear Donetta!! Guess what arrived today!? My lovely vintage ATC!!? It is gourgeous!! Thank you so much for choosing me as its owner!! Love it!! ♥♥♥
Ps...Wishing you a speed recovery!
Response: Oh Maria, you've made me so happy...I was pretty sure that this swap had gotten lost in the mail! I am happy that you like it...I loved making it for you! Thank you for setting my mind at ease, and (of course!) for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Donetta, I found it! Right where you said it would be ;+) It is absolutely gorgeous. I love the Asian theme and I super-love those gorgeous cherry blossoms! Thank you for sharing some with me! All your work is always polished to perfection and I'm so lucky when I receive it. Thank you so much!
Response: Oh so happy to have made you happy...I've been on an Asian "kick" lately, can't seem to get enough of that theme. I am so loving the birdy alphabet swaps!
Comment: Doetta...what an absolutely gorgeous ATC!!! I adore it so much! I've got to come up with some sort of display board. These are the types of well made, thoughtful ATC's I don't want to put away, they need to be seen! Make the most of your month off. Hoping your recovery is speeding up for you, take care of you. 😊â¤
Response: Jennifer, thank you for making my day with your lovely compliment! I'm doing well...back to work already, and moving forward with life. Thank you so much for being the very nicest kind of swap partner!
Comment: Donetta, you create the prettiest things! Your 'sisters' ATC is no exception--absolutely lovely. So many sisters--AGH! I love, love, love that bronze/brown Dresden (and thanks for sharing ;+) Your stitching is lovely and the little flowers are the perfect embellishment. Thank you so much for sending lovely things; it's always such a pleasure to receive your works of art.
Response: Thank you, dear Kristy...you know I always love having you for a swap partner! I loved making this "sisters" ATC for you. xo, my dear friend!
Comment: Oh-I love this ATC-the girl with the big eyes is really nice and then the kitties are special-cute way to add another kitty on the ATC. Always love getting a beautiful well done creation from you. AND thanks for the lovely little bits you sent with it-always can use those! Thanks for sharing and being you!
Response: Ah, Georgene...I am quite fond of this artist's work, with her lovely big-eyed ladies and (quite often) cats or dogs. There's just something about her style...you know what I mean! Thank you for the lovely comment and wonderful rating...it is always a joy to swap with you!
Comment: Wowsa!!! This is stunning! Beautiful image and the bling (and I mean ALL the bling) is gorgeous. The tiny little swirly beaded embellishments are exquisite (thank you for the extra one!). Love the great background. Such a great "Bollywood feel". Thanks and for the extras also.
Response: Sheryl introduced me to the bindi embellishments ages ago...apparently they are used by belly dancers (clearly I use them in a different way!). I just ordered more from an eBay seller in India...I will share some of my stash with you. Even the background papers came from India! I bought a crinkly cellophane bag of specialty papers from India (oh, so long ago), all different sizes, so exotic! I keep forgetting about that bag until I have an Indian swap theme. Thank you for another pretty red heart, my friend!
Comment: Thank you so much for this precious February themed journal page...I absolutely love it! Just love the vintage image and all the sweet little details...so sweet! I will definitely love having this one in my collection. Love the extras too...thank you!
Response: After seeing yours on Flickr, I really vacillated...I thought maybe I shouldn't be so "traditional", using Valentine's Day...but in the end, I just wanted to use more of my sweet Valentine's Day stash! Thank you so much for your sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Oh Donetta! What a sweet button atc. She is so cute and I love the pretty layers of fabric and paper in the background. But the lovely little flowers and buttons are what set this off...love the way you added the beading...so darling! Thank you so very much for the awesome atc and the great extras.
Response: I loved making this one, dear Debbie...I'm so happy she went to you! Thank you so much for always being such a fabulous swap partner!
Comment: Oh my, such a beautiful card! I love her tiny little earrings. ☺ The image you used is one I haven't seen. You always have the best images! Thank you my friend and I hope you're feeling better. â¤â¤â¤
Response: Jan, it is always a joy to have you as a swap partner, either coming or going! Thank you for the great rating, and also for your well wishes. I am back to work finally, and I'm feeling better every day. After seeing the pictures of my car (I posted them on Facebook)...two taken by my son when he went to the salvage yard to get my belongings...I feel like a very lucky lady indeed!
Comment: OH MY.... THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love oriental themes and yours is one of my favorites. The images are just too cute, with the pretty pink flowers. This is georgeous Donetta and I'm so very proud to have this. Thank you so much for everything.😊💖🆒ðŸ‘💯💕🌟
Response: Kim, without a doubt, you are the sweetest swap partner EVER! I just love the vintage Japanese children...so, so sweet. I loved making this ATC for you!
Comment: I love Peter Rabbit. Gorgeous card and I love the 3D effect. Fabulous!! xx
Response: I adore all of the Beatrix Potter artwork; such sweetness, and yet quite a bit of reality, too...if wild creatures wearing clothing and making tea could be construed as "reality"! Thank you for another wonderful cheerful red heart, dear Bev!
Comment: Wow what a stunning tag. You do beautiful work, and I am so happy I was your swap partner. Your technique on this tag blends so well with coloration and creativity. I see you took a great deal of time with doing this tag. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to having you as a swap partner in the future. Happy Swapping! And a SPEEDY RECOVERY!!!! My prayers are with U!
Response: Maggie, you made my day. I confess that I have struggled with the Julie Nutting doll tags...maybe it's the size? I have to thank YOU for being so kind and understanding regarding my accident and the subsequent late sends...thankfully, I am well on the way to a full recovery, and I have a very cute new car, so I can actually drive to the Post Office myself! I also hope we are swap partners again soon!
Comment: That Queens faces puts a smile on my face! She is beautiful and funny! I love the glitter and gems you put on her. I love all the color hearts on the bottom! The ATC is darling and I love it! Thank you for the awesome swap and extras!

Comment: I loved this ATC on flicker and I love it a million times more holding it! Soooo darling! And you know how to melt my heart with the pups dogs AND that little letter about dogs...... O.M.G to die for! I love it! So sweet and true! Thank you for the awesome extras!
Response: You made my day, dear Lori. I LOVE that little poem about boys and dogs, and have to search for every now and again because it so sweet and so true! I was so happy that this one went to you!

Thank you very much for your patience and kindness, Penny...it means the world to me. I do feel a bit better every single day...and I know how lucky I am that I'm here today. That was a bad, bad accident.
Comment: This is such a beautiful tag. I love your style, I always have. You have given me some of my favorite pieces of art. Heal well my friend.
Response: Valerie, this is the sweetest comment EVER...you made my day! Each day is a bit better than the day before, and I am focusing on how lucky I am, rather than on the huge hematoma in my right breast!
Comment: Donetta: Your nature themes journal page is a jewel! I love owls so this was perfect for me. Beautiful embellishments just set it all off. Where did you get the gold decorative tape or sticker that runs along the right side? I really like it! I hope you are doing better - I'm sorry to hear about the accident you had but glad you were not more seriously injured. Get well soon! Laurie
Response: Laurie, you are quite simply one of the kindest, most understanding ladies I know...I treasure the fact that I do know you! Recovery has been a little more difficult than I expected, but apparently I'm the only one who didn't expect to be laid low for a solid month! Thank you for the lovely comment and great rating, my dear...it means the world to me! PS...the gold lace sticker is one of the many border stickers I keep on hand from Elizabeth Crafts in Canada. I love their selection!
Comment: Another exquisitely detailed beauty from my dearest D! I love the delicate pink palette and the touch of text en francais. <3 Thank you for the very cool extras, too--I'm especially intrigued by the "color me, emboss me" foil...will research that a bit! The only thing I wasn't happy about was hearing that you are still shaky post-accident--entirely understandable, but I'm a bit worried for you. We need to have a chat when I get back from vacay so I can hear all about what exactly is going on. In the meantime, I send you love and hugs, and thanks for another wonderful swap. xo
Response: I am following your exploits (all tennis, all the time!) on Facebook, and loving that you have such a wonderful life. Yours was one of the first ATCs I made post-mva, and I can tell you that my recovery has been more difficult, and has taken longer, than I ever expected. Who knew that a "yuge" blood clot could cause so much pain? Well, now I know. And I sure hope it never happens again!
Comment: OMG This ATC with the adorable dog is so cute it melts my heart!!! I love it. And that darling little ball charm is so sweet!! Thank you the wonderful extras and for being an amazing swap partner!
Response: I had a "thing" for that dog...the moment I saw him, I knew he was yours. I loved making this ATC for you!
Comment: Love this one, cute and funny at the same time Thanks so much and for the extras too.
Response: I had a lot of trouble with this theme, that's for sure. I am NOT a Kardashian fan, but when I saw Kim's high school picture, I thought to myself, What a shame...she really was a pretty girl. It's always a pleasure to swap with you, dear Joan.
Comment: Hi Donetta! Your cute little bicycle rider arrived in my mailbox today and you are right - she does put a smile on your face looking so happy and carefree! Love the pink and blue flower embellishments and the musical background too. A keeper!! And thanks for the pretty flower extras - love those. Cheers until next time! Laurie
Response: Dear Laurie, you are the kindest swap partner EVER. Thank you for that...it is always such a joy to swap with you!
Comment: Donetta, thank you for my lovely tag. I love the background you created and the cute JN doll. SO LOVELY!! Thank you for the wonderful extras.. : ) I am super HAPPY!!
Response: Laughing at this end...this was my very first Julie Nutting Doll tag, and although this one made you happy (thank you for that, by the way!), I have plans for improvement as we make more and more of these tags!
Comment: No surprise that this is another GORGEOUS journal page! Donetta, your eye for 'what goes with what' is unparalleled. I love the image of the girls you chose to feature and all those fussy-cut cherry blossoms--just beautiful! Thank you for another gorgeous work of art.
Response: I have found that making just ONE journal page makes me want to make it really special. I love these 4x4 pages, and treasure each one I've received. Thank you for such a wonderful comment, my dear...you are just the best swap partner and friend I could ask for!
Comment: Emily Violet arrived safely today but has yet to find her place in my abode. It has to be somewhere as perfect as she is! I do love the choice of lace and use of the doily as part of her dress. I have actually made that pattern a few times. Where did you get the rossette trim you used/ We have a Japanese $1 store but they only have it in a cream colour and petal pink. The browns are positively delicious! Thanks so much for such a lovely beauty!
Response: I am THRILLED that you love Emily Violet...I loved her for you! I found the vintage pineapple doily in my stash and just knew it had to be part of her skirt. The rosette trim...I use an Etsy seller: Ms Garden Grove 1, in Malaysia. I love those little chiffon roses! Thank you so much for the lovely comment and great rating!
Comment: I so love everything you do, but love it more when it's mine. It took long enough to get here. I was happy to see you thought it was thought provoking. ME TOO! thank you for beautiful extras
Response: I am beyond happy that Miss Dedication finally arrived...it is astounding to me that the behind-the-scenes ballet world is so very different than the image we have of ballerinas! I love everything about the world of ballet. Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating, Sandra!
Comment: Oh my, both of these fairy tale journal pages are just extroidinary Donetta! The Little Mermaid is so gorgeous, especially with all the lovely embellishments, and the colors are beautiful. Love it! The Little Match Girl is equally spectacular. I have heard of this fairy tale, but not really familiar with the story; now I am curious to read it. I especially love the match stick on the back! Great, great swap, thank you.
Response: These were pure enjoyment to make, Debbie. I just love Kristy's creative mind when it comes to swap themes...they are so pleasurable to work with! Thank you for another great rating; you are simply the best!
Comment: Donetta, what a gorgeous Liz atc card...so elegant and classy! Love it! Had to laugh...for someone who didn't necessarily like Liz, you sure know how to make her look so stunning! Thank for the great swap and extras.
Response: I know, right? I've always thought Liz was so brassy...not very classy. Beautiful in her early days, but so overdone as an older lady. But oh, how I love those pictures of her as a younger woman...
Comment: Donetta, thank you so much for the darling Matryoshka doll. "Nadia" is so cute and I just love her beautiful embellishments, especially the felt flowers. Such a fun swap, and of course it is always special to have you as a swap partner.
Response: I sat looking at naked Nadia for the longest time...even though it was "my" swap, I simply couldn't come up with a way to dress her! But my stash came to the rescue, as it often does. Thank you for your sweet comment and for the great rating, dear Debbie!
Comment: Thank you for the great rolo! It took me a while to figure out which swap it was for as I don't see the swap name on the rolo, your note, or envelope. Just a heads up, in the future please always put it on the back of the card for my swaps, it is part of the requirement. Thanks for doing such a cool theme!
Comment: GORGEOUS Chinese-themed ATC, dear Donetta! I love the sparkly koi, the detailing of the peony center, the trim, and how the postage stamp ties in all the elements. Well done, you! [applauding]
Also, my breath is taken away by the exquisite cigarette silks you sent! These are amazing! How did I not know these things existed? Please tell me how you've been using them--I'm excited to incorporate these beauties somehow! Many thanks for a very special swap, sweet girl! xoxoxo
Response: Oh how I love the cigarette silks! Some are in perfect (vintage) condition, and some are rather the worse for wear. I use them (well, have used them so far) in my "stitches and layers" ATC series, which incorporates layers of paper, book pages, fabric, and so forth...I am a huge fan of Saray Viola and her layered ATC and journal pages. Knowing your creative mind as I do, I'm sure you will find a way!
Comment: I really love your reading ladies, Donetta. They're from the same era and they're embellished beautifullly. You chose such appropriate embellishments--the hatbox, the stack of books, and the jeweled had with the rose! Love the little tatted lace along the bottom and the vintage gold Dresden (that is SO pretty). Thanks for another set of beautiful art!
Response: We share a love of the 4x4 journal pages, and I love the challenge of choosing the main image and then adding details that make it "pop". And of course, that era is one of my favorites...my head knows that it isn't true, but my heart thinks that was a kinder, sweeter time than today.
Comment: It looks like this gentleman is trying to get a New Year's kiss from his beautiful lady! There's so much to love in this ATC: the '1912' at the top, the lady's jewels, the vintage gold Dresden--they all add up to a perfect design. I never thought to use, 'Auld Lang Syne' on mine--perfect for the theme. Thank you for another Donetta ATC to add to my collection!
Response: You know how I roll...each ATC is a conglomoration of several different printed images. I was hoping that the "Auld Lang Syne" background would actually make this couple appear to be celebrating their New Year...since I selectively cut them out of their natural background!
Comment: Donetta, your little Scotland Doll is adorable and I must say adding the Scottish terriers was a stroke of genius! Love their little 'collars' and all the coordinating red and green embellishments that match the tartan plaid on your little lass. And I am C R A Z Y for the Venezia paper you sent; is is simply gorgeous and most definitely hoard-worthy ;+)
Response: Several of us who joined this swap are kind of hoping you host more of these...the dollies are so stinkin' adorable, and there are so many of them! We just can't seem to get enough. And every one I've seen has been as cute as cute can be! I love that you love your wee Scottish lass (and her little friends)...thank you for the wonderful rating and for your sweet comment.
Comment: Donetta, your jewel-haired lady is beautiful! You always find the best images. I love the jewels you used in her hair and the layers you used are so nice--such soft, appealing colors. I am also CRAZY for that gold edging--it really adds a lot to the card. Thanks for always creating something so gorgeous and being such a wonderful swap partner. Thanks, too, for the GORGEOUS decoupage napkins; the watercolor poppies are next up on my craft table!
Response: I hang my head in shame...until I saw YOUR lady with jeweled hair (on Flickr) I didn't realize that we were supposed to really jewel all of our lady's hair! I have so many jewels, too...it's tragic. You are very kind, my dear friend. Kind and generous!
Comment: Another darling swap from you and its all mine!!! I love this cute little snowman. When I first moved to Oregon I said I was going to make a snowman once it snowed.... ummm no thanks! It's to cold out there! Thank you for the wonderful extras! Where do you get your darling napkins at?
Response: LOL! And then...LOL some more! No need to get all frostbitten; this is your snowman for the season! I loved making him, and have no idea why it took me so long to mail him to you! The napkins...oh, I'm addicted; someone please stop me! There are a couple eBay sellers who offer 2 paper napkins (for decoupage) for about $1.30. I pick and choose, and it ends up costing quite a bit for a bunch of paper napkins! But I love them so much...they go so FAR...I simply can't stop!
Comment: I am always happy when I see your name as my swap partner because I always get quality art. Always. Your puzzle piece is BEEutiful!! But everything you make is gorgeous. Thank you so much for the obvious care and work you always put into your stuff. It is much appreciated. Till next time...
Response: Gina, this is the most uplifting comment...you made my day! I just love swapping with you, and everything you said above? Right back at you, my friend!
Comment: are you kidding me??? love love this atc! my rt. 66, a metal compass, and an old camera...three of my favorite things oh and I love that chevy convertible...great card! plus great extras a nice note and a wonder woman postage stamp on the envelope!! thanks so much
Response: You know, this one was just fun to make, from start to finish! I felt like I was on a road trip with those glamorous ladies...I am thrilled to have made you happy!
Comment: gorgeous...love the use of my favorite color...teal...the image is beautiful and I so appreciate the care and detail of the little gems and sequins...the gold sun/halo...perfect touch...thank you so much and for the extras as well...great swap from a terrific swapper
Response: Although I am not a fan of organized religion, I love, love, LOVE the "Mother Mary" images and icons. It's always a pleasure to pick the right image for each swap, and to do justice to the beauty and piety of Mother Mary. Thank you so much for your sweet comments and great ratings, Kathryn!
Comment: Oh Donetta, these are absolutely gorgeous journal pages...just beautiful! I adore your beautiful work so much. You are such an inspiration to me. When I see your art it makes me want to strive to do the best that I can and to go beyond my comfort zone to try new and different things with my work! Thank you also for all the wonderful extras. You're the best! Hugs, Debbie
Response: Debbie, that is the loveliest compliment I've ever received! Gosh, I'm happy you weren't on board to see some of my early works of "art"...I have mentally apologized to the kind-hearted partners who left nice comments and gave me 5's. And even, sometimes, hearts. Such generous ladies! I just can't say it enough...the luv ladies are some of my MOST favorite swap partners!
Comment: Such delightful little inchies. I just love them and I love seeing what everyone chooses as their theme. I was trying to choose a favorite from these and I had a rough time of it. They are all adorable and intricate. Lovely little treasures!
Response: What will I do now that you're no longer hosting these swaps? I guess I could host them myself...but honestly, I'm having a hard time keeping up! I am so, so happy that my Beverly is back and actively hosting swaps. Thank you for the sweet words about the inchies...they were a joy to make!
Comment: Looking at these APCs brings back happy memories. My parents took us to lots of fairs, carnivals; circuses and craft fairs when I was growing up. And in addition to that I grew up next to a large park that hosted all of these. Lucky Me! Thank you for the lovely APC!
Response: I remember going to the fair sometimes in summer, but not often...and maybe I went to the circus once. It's a whole new experience to be making these for you!
Comment: You are so far ahead of me on the deck of cards. I guess I will send you one or two every time I send your puzzle pieces until I catch up. I love my lady on the flying trapeze. It is fun looking back through the deck. It makes me smile.
Response: How can I be ahead of you? I must have made a few extras in the very beginning...I remember having so much fun with them that I couldn't bear to stop!
Comment: Great minds think alike as Jerusalem and the wall is the subject I chose for yours. Such a lovely collectible. And then the bonus card K for Kuwait. I love the mysterious look of this beautiful lady and the way you just put her one eye on the card. I am also going to send you a "K card. One more ATC and this would put us half way through our travel alphabet.
Response: There's something so magical about Jerusalem...and I particularly loved the little boy with his Bible (Torah?)...such a cute little guy! I'm just loving our travels, and hope you are, too!
Response: Deb, I am thrilled to have made you happy...and I'm so sorry that the first one went missing. (I wonder where all the "missing" mail ends up?) Thank you for being such a gracious swap partner, and thank you also for the fabulous rating!
Comment: Donetta, thank you so much for the beautiful owl atc...love it! So many gorgeous details on this beauty! Love it all from the awesome owl image with his brass crown to the metal leaf, the pretty background and the pretty feather. I really, really love this one. Thank you so much!
Response: Thank you, dear Debbie. You always make me feel happy...I just love swapping with the Weber ladies!
Comment: I love the darling journal pages you made. The horse and cat in the mail box is so cute and the puppy and kitten in the stocking….. so sweet!!! I wish I had them in my lap right now! Your work is always amazing! Thank you for the wonderful extras! Happy new year’s!
Response: Your comment has really made my day, Lori. Thank you for always being the very nicest kind of swap partner! I'm trying hard to get my mojo back, and your sweet comments have helped enormously.
Comment: My very dear friend. Thank you so much for the beautiful angel. Your words of sympathy are so much appreciated. Yes this card will be very special for me. I am going to attach a hanger so I can have her looking out to me all year round.
I am so very lucky to have met such a sweet lady here on SwapBot and also fb. You never know one day we may actually meet face to face â¤â¤ðŸ’•ðŸ’•â¤â¤
Response: I loved making her for you, dear Ros. Thank you so much for the lovely comment, and (of course) for the great rating. I meant every word in my message to you, and it would be such a pleasure to meet for a hug and many cups of tea one day!
Comment: Thanks for a unique tag and delightful letter. We had a quiet Christmas with the best gift of getting back our restored items. We were able to salvage more than expected!
Response: That is a wonderful Christmas surprise indeed...the best outcome for a dreadful situation. We all were worried and hopeful that things would work out well in the end...and they did! Thank you for the lovely rating...it's simply wonderful to have you back with us, swapping!
Comment: WOW! you really outdid yourself this time. This Atc is so pretty. I like how the delicate colors of the buttons goes so well with the flowers and the gold highlights are just perfect. Thanks so much.
Response: Joan, I just loved making this ATC for you...I was happy to find the little vintage Bluebird button card image, and the rubber stamped flowers just fit perfectly. It reminded me that spring is coming...we are just into the dreariest part of the year, post-holiday and pre-spring, and using that springy image made me happy! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: thank you for the beautiful pages-love the pretty lace and embellishments on the frolic and play. The couple card was lovely as well with the snowflakes and Dresden trim. Thanks for the extra trim!
Response: Penny, you are the very best type of swap partner...understanding and compassionate, as well as being so kind with your ratings. I loved how this pair turned out, and was thrilled to send them to you!
Comment: This ATC is so stinkin cute! I love it and its all mine!! I loved it on Flicker and even more in my hands! Thank you for the wonderful extras! I already used some!
Response: I loved making this one, Lori...and I always love sending to you! (Not as much as I love receiving things from you, however.) Thank you for the sweet comment and truly wonderful rating...you made my day!
Comment: Hi Donetta! The altered Bingo card is awesome! I love the wintry theme that you used and the touches of snow at the bottom are amazing! Another beautiful swap with you and this one is no exception! Wishing you a merry Christmas! Laurie
Response: I have to laugh...so much better than tears! This went the long way, with a detour at Kristy's house (my mind...what's going on?), but I'm ever so happy that it finally arrived "home". Thank you again for the sweet comment and great rating, dear Laurie.
Comment: Donetta: Please don't fret about being late. It happens to us all, and this Big Top ATC you sent me was certainly worth waiting for!
I love how you always find a fun way to top your ATCs and this one is no exception! Fantastic work as always. Thank you for the extra goodies as well. If we don't touch base again before, have a wonderful holiday! Laurie
Response: Laurie, you are a very gracious lady. Thank you for being so kind, and for your lovely comments and heart ratings...it is always a joy to send my creations to you!
Comment: Oh Donetta! I love this ATC. I saw it on Flicker and loved it and now it’s mine. I’m one lucky gal. The little kitty cat is so sweet, and those little books are darling. That little girl and her adorable curls are to die for. Thank you for the wonderful extras!
Response: So, so happy to have made you happy, Lori! I loved making this one, and was happy to send it to one of my favorite "luv" ladies!
Comment: Your gorgeous card arrived today and it looks even more beautiful for real :)! Big Thanks for making it so lovely again and I hope you´re feeling okay now. All the best and until the next time!
Response: It is always wonderful to swap with you...whether receiving from you or sending to you! I loved this swap, and plan to do more similar to this. Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating, Pirjo-Liisa!
Comment: I had to laugh at that photo booth photo. That was funny! Thank you again for a wonderful little piece of your art. Love it and the extras. I will have fun with those. Thank you also for all of the work you do for us on swap-bot. It is appreciated. Have a wonderful holiday if I do not see you sooner in the mail.
Response: I saw that photo booth picture and thought, "No"...but I kept coming back to it! I can think of different scenarios to account for those expressions... Thank you so much for your kind words and great ratings, Pat!
Comment: Donetta, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my winter scene art journal pages. The sweet little deer is simply adorable! I'm in love with all tiny little creatures and your 'snow' is simply perfection. The little squirrel on the branch is cute (I would feed the squirrels if it didn't bring the mice!) and I'm crazy for that little acorn charm . . . you always put together the neatest things. All your work is really innovative and so inspiring to me. Thank you for two more beauties to add to my collection!
Response: I just love the 4x4 format...I can't seem to get enough of them! Thank you for your incredibly generous comments and ratings...you pretty much are my all-time favorite swap partner, you know.
Comment: Thanks for the inchies! And yes, we celebrate Halloween! It's not our native holiday, but many people celebrate it just for fun:)
Response: It makes me happy to hear that you celebrate Halloween just for fun...it is such a fun way to decorate and celebrate! Thank you for the wonderful rating, and I hope we have the opportunity to swap again soon.
Comment: Another treasure for my collection! Your sweet lady amid the grapevines is adorable. And I LOVE that antique gold flourish in the corner--it matches PERFECTLY. The little gold scallops are so neat. You always find the perfect embellishments for each creation. Now . . . on to the extras . . WOW WOW WOW! I can't believe all the beautiful things you sent! More of the pink & gold crown paper! Napkins galore! And all those lovely findings! I'm in heaven ;+) Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Donetta; you're the best!
Response: Will you judge me if I confess that I spent over $70 on paper napkins from a couple eBay sellers? That's just crazy...even I know it's crazy, and yet I did it! I received two of each, and I have a stack that I know I'll never use up...so I'm thrilled to share with my Ohio bestie!
Comment: Love it! The first thing that caught my attention was the car with the jeweled headlights! So clever. I'm in awe of your edge treatments on this one; you need to teach a Master Class in layering! The rose is beautiful, of course, and those little air-mail envelopes are a neat little embellishment. I've never seen Dresden of that color (bronze?) but now I'll be on the hunt!
Response: I think that Dresden color is called copper...I think of it as orange! I can't resist glamming up the headlights...for some reason, sequins just seem to fit there.
Comment: Donetta's Art = Always beautiful!!! This is one of my favorite series ever, Donetta, and your piece is truly lovely. So many layers to appreciate. I love the little German zig-zagged page and the tiniest little gear in the middle. Thank you for always sending something gorgeous and collectible.
Response: Thank you, dear Kristy. None of my ATCs have come close to the idea I had in my head when I started this series...I'm simply confounded by this fact! However, I'm happy to have made YOU happy...and I'll try to think of a new "S&L" theme.
Comment: I’m one lucky girl to have this APC in my collection. She is so adorable!!! I love her. Thank you for the extras!
Response: I did kind of love this one, to tell the truth. I may be wrong, but I think your sweet mama sent me the little skulls...I was wild to use them, and thrilled to have the opportunity on this APC!
Comment: These twichies are SO BEAUTIFUL!! I love them so much! The colors are stunning! I got a new hanging thing at Hobby Lobby to display art I receive and these are going right on it! thank you for the wonderful extras!
Response: Ah, Lori...you are the sweetest, most generous swap partner (and I know where you got these traits!). Thank you for the lovely comment and fabulous red heart!
Comment: Your remake card is just lovely - thank you for making this so quickly. Love the marvelous papers included too - thanks!
Response: I am thrilled to have made you happy...thank you for the heads up, and for allowing me to send a replacement. It's annoying when things get lost in the mail, but it does happen. I enjoyed making this one for you.
Comment: I’m so lucky to have these wonderful Halloween Journal pages!! I love the black cat; I call him Cole after my black cat I had! I want to get another black cat someday; I should wait because I’m already becoming a crazy cat lady that does crafts all day. That haunted house is so cool! Thank you for the wonderful art and extras!
Response: There is no higher calling in life than to be a crazy cat lady who does crafts all day! Okay...maybe being a brain surgeon or a special ed teacher would be equally high...but certainly not as much fun!!!
Comment: LUCKY me!!!! I love the mermaid pages that you made for me!!!! Thanks so very very much!!!!
Response: Mar, I am thrilled that you like them! I also made mermaid pages the first time, but apparently I forgot to take pictures and post on Flickr, so I can't remember exactly what they looked like...except that I know I liked this set more. Thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Love these journal covers, Donetta! They are the perfect covers for all of the pages I have received! Such cute images! Thank you so much! And of course thank you for all the nifty steampunkery extras! Wow!
Response: I don't know why...but when I think of steampunkery, I think of you! I bought two of those little tins full of watch parts, and haven't ever used the items in tin #1...I can't think of anyone nicer to receive tin #2.
Comment: Donetta: These are just wonderful! Love how you have made them coordinate with each other and love the images and all the embellishments you used as well. I too, love this 4X4 size - too bad it was just the two of us with this swap but then again it meant we got to be each other's partners!
Response: Laurie, I am so happy to have made you happy. I love this format, and even though we were the only participants, I know for sure that I won the partner lottery for this swap! Thank you for the kind words and the lovely little heart!
Comment: This atc is simply wonderful! I LOVE the image of the little girl you chose. And the way you added the stitches and embellishments is just perfect. You have such an artist''s eye for colors and details. Thank you so very much!!!
Response: Thank you, dear Mandy...I always adore swapping with you. I'm loving this series, and hope to keep it going for awhile. Thank you for the sweet comment and most wonderful rating!
Comment: I’m one lucky girl to have this gorgeous ATC in my collection. I Love her so much. I can’t stop looking at it. Thank you for the wonderful extras. I love those wonderful studded gems, I already used them ADD had to get some more the next day when I went to Joanna’s.
Response: I'm so happy you like it, dear Lori! I love that beautiful "bat girl"...and I loved making this ATC for you.
Comment: Your beautiful Elizabeth has arrived safely, thank you so much for this once again gorgeous piece of art and the extra goodies :)! You sure show your admiration towards her in this card and it´s easy to admire your work too!
Response: Thank you very much, Pirjo-Liisa...it is always a pleasure to swap ATCs with you! Thank you for the nice comment and (of course) for the heart rating.
Comment: I love this super-creeptacular ATC!. It's one of my favorite Halloween images. And is that a tiny, little spider you added to her leg? Or a mole with legs?! LOL! Either way, it's a nice touch. Thanks for the extra treats as well. Love our trades!! Till next time...
Response: I honestly couldn't resist adding the spider...that leg just BEGGED for a spider! Thank you for being so kind, Gina...you are a lovely swap partner, and I also love our trades!
Comment: Halloween! Hooray! Donetta your card is gorgeous as always. LOVE the raven . . . when I visited San Fran in June I fed the seagulls and 2 ravens came around to enjoy the treats, too! Your stenciling is so neat--it makes such a nice backdrop and the glitter accents are perfection. Another beauty to add to my Donetta pages ;+)
Response: Of course my first instinct was to go with something "foofier", but something about this raven caught my eye. I know how you love Halloween, so I went with it, and I am thrilled that you like it!
Comment: Hi Donetta - Hope your feeling better!! I love the Marie Rolo; it is so grand looking. I had the good fortune to see an exhibit at the Legion of Honor Museum in SF a couple of years ago that featured her clothes, furniture and items from her "Petit Trianon" (Little Palace). Everything was so beautiful. Thanks for a very special swap. Talk to you soon -Vanne
Response: I always love the M.A. swaps...there is just so much "over-the-topness" when it comes to this iconic lady! I'm so happy you like the rolo...I truly enjoyed making it for you.
Comment: Donetta: Your darling little girl arrived today in my mailbox to put a smile on my face! And I do love her hair! Wonderful image and embellishments - as always! Love to swap with you! Cheers, Laurie
Response: Laurie, you are truly the kindest and most gracious swap partner...thank you so much!
Comment: This ATC is spooktacular! Where DO you find your images? This vintage witch is devilishly delish and I can't stop looking at it. You are amazing. Thank you so very much for the wonderful atcs and the fabulous extras! :-)
Response: Such sweet words...I always want to make you happy, because you go so far above and beyond to make your partners happy! Thank you for the fantabulous rating.
Comment: Oh my goodness! I saw these atcs on your flickr page and I loved them! Little did I know they would be mine! I love the skeleton on the bicycle! You have an amazing talent for combining images and colors perfectly. I feel so lucky when you are my partner! :-)
Response: Well, this one just cracked me UP! The bike-riding skellie...how could anyone be in fear of that guy? I loved putting this one together for you!
Comment: I terrific as usual! So many elements ...all go together so nicely love the image the bit of lace the ribbon and the phrase you added ... "Just right". Yes, it is! Thank you much and for the note and most cool extras!
Response: Thank you so much, dear Kathryn. It's always a joy to have you as my swap partner. You know I loved making this one for you!
Comment: Donetta, I just love each one of these darling twinchies! Their little faces are so precious and I adore all the little details from the tiny trim, the textured fur on the cat to the handmade flowers...just so cute!
Response: Well...the amazing art of Mab Graves! It's hard to go wrong with her. Not my "go to", for sure, but I absolutely love her style and aesthetic. Thank you for another lovely comment and rating!
Comment: Dear Diva Donetta! My marvelous pussy-card is here! And the details are just so wonderful in person. The Dresden trims and the tiny little jewels for the cat-collars are lovely. :) I also love the presentation in the cunning little holders you made for the ATC and the special extras you sent. (What ARE these beautiful discs? They look like some sort of elegant folk art?) And...have I told you yet that you have beautiful handwriting? All in all, a most delightful package. Thank you, darling. <3
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy, dear Paula! Those discs...ages ago, I decoupaged illustrations onto wooden discs of various shapes...I used them as jewelry pendants, after gluing a bail to the back. The smaller ones were lovely additions to charm bracelets, and the larger ones were nice as necklace pendants. I loved making them, but for some reason I just stopped. Thank you so much for the sweet comment and excellent rating!
Comment: Of course I love your ATC. I missed this one on Flickr so I was surprised when I opened it! Forgot I was even waiting for one from you. Anyway, you know my style and it came out just perfecto! Thanks so much. I awlays love when I get you for a partner! Till next time...
Response: I am so happy to have made you happy! It's always great having you for a swap partner, in either direction...thanks so much for the sweet comment and happy red heart!
Comment: I almost did Helsinki too. I had the image of the little girl and boy cut out and the same butterfly you used, but then I got to thinking about Hawaii and immediately changed my mind way before I saw your ATC. Great minds think alike! Thank you Donetta for everything! I love all of the extras you sent me and the altered tickets you sent are the first I have seen. So cute! XOX
Response: Thank you for the great rating, Kathy...I'm having such a good time with our alphabet travels!
Comment: Oops. I never noticed you said make four APCs. I will get right on that 4th one and send it this week. And here I thought I was doing an extra one. LOL. I love all four of my APCs: The watermelon kids reminded of me and my siblings and our station wagon. The sweet little pig and the other animals at the livestock show; (I must have some of that gold sticker stuff you use); and both of the Ringling Brothers Circus Cards. They bring back memories,
Response: You chose such a great theme (with the addition of fairs and carnivals, I could go on forever!)...thank you for the lovely little red heart!
Comment: I just love the little inchies you made for me: The kids eating watermelon, Granny and her Cat, Baby, Angel, Dog, and sisters. It is fun seeing what everyone chooses for their inchie subjects. Thank you for the adorable little charms and things you sent. I have never seen these anywhere. Love everything!
Response: I'm so happy to have made you happy, Kathy! I'm loving the little monthly inchie swaps; can't wait for September!
Comment: Oh, Donetta, your queen is absolutely GORGEOUS! All that beautifully detailed gemstone-work; I'm in awe! This is such an exceptional work of art--really special. Now I can't wait to try something like this! Once again you've provided inspiration for my own work. The extras you sent are just as special as the ATC. I'm in love with those vintage advertisement cards and who doesn't love movie stars? ;+) Thank you thank you thank you, my dear friend!
Response: Thank you for the lovely comment and for that happy little red heart, Kristy...you made my day!
Comment: Donetta, Oh how fun so many beautiful details! This is the cutest baby ATC! Loving it!! Thank you for the ATC, the gorgeous paper napkins and the lovely fabric pieces.
Response: This was such an enjoyable swap theme...I had so much fun choosing the images and embellishments! The picture reminded me of when I was not-quite-two and my sister was born! (Which I don't remember, but the pictures are just like the girls on the ATC!)
Comment: I see the your dried pansies! Such an amazing element to the card. Donetta, your work is consistently fresh and beautiful. Your flappers are so interesting. My favorite element is the advertisement for the "show this to your barber" hairstyles! Everything goes so nicely together and your gold tassel trim really sets the cards off so prettily. Question: what did you add to make the flowers so glossy on the little ad card? I MUST have some! Thank you SO much for the lovely napkins for decoupage! WOW . . . these are the prettiest I've ever seen. You're simply the best!
Response: I use my Sakura gloss pens for that glossiness...I have a bunch of the clear ones, and I'm ready for another set of the multi-colored pens...they are somewhat temperamental, and stop working, sometimes even when they are full. (Frustrating.) But I love the effect so much...you know I have to keep buying them!
Comment: Beautiful! Just beautiful! Lovely color and all that intricate stitching! Donetta, everything is so lovely, from that beautiful organza flower to the little glitter dots on your lady's dress. I absolutely love the ombre ribbon along the side. Thanks so much for another beauty to add to my collection!
Response: I particularly wanted this one to be more feminine...the first was so definitely NOT! I'm so happy to have made you happy, dear Kristy, and thank you for the lovely comment and great rating.
Comment: This card is SO AWESOME!! The Eiffel Tower AND a woman in lingerie! And a pig charm for an extra! Thanks so much!
Response: LOL! You gave me my first laugh of the day! I've had that pig charm forever...and when I saw on your profile that you love pigs, well...it had to be yours! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Oh Donetta! It is so beautiful! You should NEVER second guess yourself. You have the designer's eye my dear! I have it displayed on an old dress form and it looks absolutely gorgeous. There are so many beautiful baubles at which to look. This swap was so much fun! You are right, putting all the pieces together is not as easy as it seems. Thank you.for doing this swap. <3<3<3
Response: Mandy, I was awe-struck with your necklace...absolutely gobsmacked! I knew mine wouldn't be as...as...well, as Mandy-ish! Your packaging, the care with which you select the extras...you're just the best! So...thank you very, very much for all the sweetness here!
Comment: That is the sweetest picture! What a cute puppy! Oh yes, the boy too! Always love your work. Having a sis romance with your work! Is that like bro romance? Thank you again for a wonderful swap with great goodies as a plus.

Response: Thank you for the sweet compliment and great rating, Joan! I love those wee charms...I get them from an Etsy seller (Brass Kicker...or maybe it's Brasskicker). I keep re-ordering...I have my favorites, and don't want to be without them!

Response: You always leave the most wonderful comments, Wendy! I am so happy that you like your ATC...I loved making it for you!
Comment: I LOVE this cover . such a pleasing, breezy summer cover. It's so neat that you left the cover artist's signature as part of the ATC. As always, you've found the perfect embellishment--those little pearly buttons running down the back of the dress set it off beautifully. The detailed cutting on the models would have made me go blind--it's so intricate. Thanks for another beauty to add to my collection!
Response: I do love the Hayden Williams fashion illustrations...he is the original Barbie illustrator! But a little goes a long way...soooo much cutting! Thank you for another lovely comment and heart rating.
Comment: Donetta, I can't BELIEVE you created a needlepoint piece for this swap! Is this part of Lisa's Christmas gift? The ATC is simply amazing. The colors are so pleasing together and I see all your layers. You even switched stitching from zig-zag to regular. I know we both like girly and frilly; this is neither but just as beautiful as any girly or frilly ATC you've ever made. And I absolutely LOVE those little gold medallions--they look a bit like upholstery brads and they are the PERFECT size. Thank you for sharing the with me. This ATC is truly a piece of art.
Response: Ah, Kristy...I've started over on that cross stitch design so many times (8?) that I have lots of little horse heads to use! I promise you'll be getting a girly/frilly one next time...but this time, the horse called to me (neigh!).
Comment: Donetta, your Passport to India tag is beautiful! (I knew it would be ;+) You find the BEST illustrations. LOVE the dancing girl and the elephant--all with just the right touch of golden accents. I'm CRAZY for the little boy on the back of the tag. Your golden tapes are lovely (and thank you for sending me some, too ;+) and so are the lovely fibers. The aqua ribbon with the gold leaf accents is gorgeous. Love it when we're partners!
Response: I love being partnered with you, too...in either direction! And I have you to thank for breaking my tag phobia...since this series, I'm really loving the larger format!
Comment: Oh Donetta, what a beautiful little work of art! Every bit of this is so gorgeous from the lovely lady, the violets, the ribbon! I am so happy that I have this in my collection. It is always such a wonderful thing to receive swaps from you! Thank you so much.
Response: I did love making this one...it's almost as pretty as the one you made for this swap! I think at least half of the joy for me is finding the right images and embellishments...when it's right, everything flows. When it's not...that's another story!
Comment: Donetta, I truly love this atc card! From the moment that I saw it on Flickr I was in love with it, and it was such a nice surprise when I received it in the mail. Love, love it so much! The background details are wonderful. Thank you for the lovely swap and the extras.
Response: Well...it wasn't meant for this particular swap, but it worked well (I suppose) for the collaged background! It is sort of collaged, although not as much as some of my other non-collaged-background ATCs! Thank you for the lovely comment and rating, dear Debbie!
Comment: Donetta, she is beautiful! This ATC is just . . . plain . . . neat. I love that you created a little pagoda top on your gothic arch--really inspired. The cherry blossoms are such a lovely Asian touch. I'm very fond of images of rear-facing women but this one is super special because she sees her reflection--the best of both worlds ;+) I love it and thank you thank you thank you for those little extra coins!
Response: I always love the Asian themes...always! I'm so happy to have made you happy with this ATC. Thank you for another super-sweet comment and great rating...I never take them for granted!
Comment: Thank you for the precious 4x4's. I love variety of embellishments-Dresden, flowers, collage, bling and even a touch of texture on the dog. Thanks for the backgrounds-they always come in handy.
Thanks for the paper backgrounds-they always come in handy.
Response: Penny, I am so happy to have made you happy...I loved making these for you! Thank you for the sweet comment and great rating!
Comment: Donetta, you are the absolute BEST at creating beautiful tiny things! You have such a knack for creating on a tiny scale. I'm terrified of inchies but you're able to create on EVERY scale so beautifully! I love your updated take on Dick & Jane . . . wifi! YIPPEE!!! I had forgotten the cat was, 'Puff.' I love them--all 3--and will treasure them. Thank you!
Response: It's hard to go wrong with Dick and Jane! I loved making these...I am thrilled that you like them!
Comment: Donetta, I am loving this beauiful album….. Sooooo Gorgeous!! The two holes looks great with the double ribbon. You played so much while making this album, there is a little bit of everything added on…. Thank you for the beauiful and well created paper bag ablum and I am so lucky to have received it.
Response: You know I had a great time with this album...it's a project that can't be rushed (well...shouldn't be rushed!), and it's so much fun to keep adding things. I am so happy that you like it!
Comment: Dear darling Donetta! My parrot ATC is here! It is even cooler in real life than it looked on Flickr! So many interesting dimensions and layers, with metallic gold accents of various sorts...I love how the parrot is perched on a 3D branch! And what really special and fun extras you sent--love the handmade embellie especially. :) Thank you for being a lovely swap partner! xo

Response: LOL! When I made this, I didn't realize that it was going to my best friend in Australia...but I couldn't bear to start over! Thank you for your sweet comments and always-wonderful ratings, dear Bev.
Comment: Donetta, what a wonderful family of inchies...I just adore them. Not only are each of them embellished so lovely, but as I read the story each family member just came to life in my mind. Really cute. The story itself is great and full of detail and imagination...so cute! I love the way each family member's name starts with "S". So much fun, thank you!
Response: I am thrilled to have made you happy...I am quite fond of the inchie family challenges! This family came to life for me...I loved creating them for you!
Comment: Oh, Donetta, your puzzle pieces are lovely lovely lovely! My favorite? The kitty, of course! Sweet little angel peeking over the garden fence. You and Bev are masters of using fibers--I love the eyelash fiber on the kitty card. The tea party piece is lovely--the background almost looks like wallpaper in a vintage tearoom. Last but certainly not least is your lovely lady with her rhinestone headband and tiny rose corsage . . such detail! It's always a great day when there's a package from you in my mailbox ;+)
Response: Thank you, Miss Kristy! It's always wonderful knowing that you are my swap partner (in either direction)...I am thrilled to have made you happy!
Comment: The pages are so beautiful!! I'm not sure which one I love the most. I think it's the gypsy with the ribbon in her hair, but the one with the horse is amazing too! I really love handmade flowers too. They are the best. :) Thanks so much my dear. Your art is fab as always! I'm with you on admiring from afar also. lol Thanks for the extra's. Love how you used the little jewels for the butterfly.

Comment: I don't know when an atc pleased me more! That precious little sailor girl! Just perfect with her nautical bow! The boy image was great and I wish I'd thought of the Cracker Jack sailor boy!
Everything you added was just right I love love this card! Many thanks as well for the extras I've never seen such delicate looking little flowers ..can't wait to use them!
Response: Kathryn, this was a joy to make, from start to finish! I am so happy to have made you happy...thank you very much for the sweet comment and happy little red heart!
Comment: Another beautiful ATC! The image is gorgeous and the fact that the B&W is surrounded by such wonderful color really sets her off. Lovely, lovely... Thanks Donetta! And thanks for the extras - where did you find the little strip of sparkly gems? I love that! Cheers, Laurie
Response: Laurie, I am thrilled to have made you happy! Isn't that tiny cup chain adorable? I got it from Ali Express...in China (free shipping!). I bought way too much. Honestly, though...I can see using it in different ways; so far I've only used it to edge some journal pages and ATCs. If I give the "silver" a patina (oh how I hate the smell of liver of sulphur), I can even see it as part of a multi-strand piece of jewelry. Thank you so much for another uplifting comment and happy little red heart!
Comment: This is a perfect Dragonfly ATC. I love all the different layers. Just perfect I tell ya, just perfect.
Response: You've made me laugh, Jackie! Perfect, huh? Well...I really enjoyed the process of this one, from start to finish. I didn't even have a plan...I just winged it. I like adding special techniques when I make things for you, because you are the Queen of Techniques!
Comment: Wow, what a beautiful, lovely atc card! Yes, she does have such gorgeous hair, she is very pretty! Everything about this card is so pretty, so nice to look (or should I say "stare") at. Love all the flowers and gold, and the mirror is so great...I can almost see myself in it...great! June
is one of my favorite months and roses and pearls are the best way to represent the month of June. Reminds me of my Grandma who had her birthday in June and she always talked about the "roses and pearls" of June. Wow, I feel as if it is my birthday with the great extras! The darling little bird items are to die for, the fan is beautiful, everything is so lovely and I can't wait to use these wonderful little bits of preciousness in upcoming projects. Thank you so very much Donetta!
Speaking of birthdays, I want to wish you a wonderful, happy and healthy birthday today! I hope your special day is great...HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONETTA, hugs...Debbie.
Response: It's funny about this one...it started out by being very unsatisfactory to me. So (as I do) I keep adding...and the mirror thing happened...and I ended up being very happy that I was sending it to you! Thank you very much for the birthday wishes, and for the super-sweet comment and rating, too!
Comment: Donetta, thank you so very much for the pretty little bride gothic arch...so lovely. Her wedding gown is so pretty, as well as the beautiful embellishments. I really love it! And, oh my, the extras in this swap are extroidinary! Such wonderful, beautiful little tidbits of awesomeness! As always it is such a pleasure to have you as a swap partner.

Love the images thank you thank you!!
Response: Ah, Kathryn...thank you so much for the wonderful comment (you made my day!) and for the fabulous little red heart! It's always a joy to have you as a swap partner!
Comment: Donetta: Oh I love my carnival pages! They are both so cute and so evocative of a vintage carnival or fair, as we called them in the midwest. Love all your images and the wonderful embellishments. And thank you for the little package of extra goodies. Cheers! Laurie
Response: I grew up in California, and we called them "fairs" too! And I loved them so much...except for those swingy rides that made me throw up...that wasn't fun for anyone on the ride! I just loved this theme, and can't wait for another fair theme!
Comment: Hey Donetta! As usual your rolo is just gorgeous...even with the giant butterfly from the Amazon!! Lol! All your little touches with the glitter, gems, etc. just top the rolo off perfectly. I always know I am getting quality works of art when trading with you. Thanks so much!!
Response: Honestly, Gina...I had to laugh when I sat back and looked at the scale of the rolo...that butterfly! Thank you for the sweet comment and lovely rating...you are just the best swap partner!

Comment: Yipee! The circus came to town brought to me by one of my favorite swappers! Love all the sparkly and bling and of course the subject matter, Always a pleasure from you-thanks for sharing!
Response: I have become very fond of circus themes...except that I have a distaste for clowns! I know that's practically un-American, but it's true! Thank you so much for the sweet comment and wonderful rating...it is always such a pleasure to swap with you!
Comment: The pages you sent are lovely! Yellow is my favorite color, and so that makes them even more special!
Response: I am thrilled that you like them...I had such a good time making them for you! Yellow is my favorite color, as well...so warm and cheerful! Thank you for such a lovely comment, and for the happy little heart!
Comment: Oh, Donetta . . . you've outdone yourself with this card. My favorite thing to do when I receive your work is to look it over to find all the special details you've included. Your color combo is stunning (pink and black are my FAVS together) and I see your special touches everywhere--the little tulle peeking out from the ribbon roses, the glittered & scalloped edge. and the very narrow gold edging everywhere (so precise!) . . . I love it. Thank you for another true beauty!
Response: This was such a wonderful theme...every ATC I've seen (including the one I received) has been fantastic. Good job, you!
Comment: I love the cross- stitch pin cushion you made me. I no longer have the patience for needle work and haven't since I was in my early twenties. I always seemed to get my thread in knots. It will always remind me of you even if it is just a glance. I think of you when I see pansies and the purple and yellow are two of my favorite colors. Thank you for the flip book. I had never seen one until I saw this one. They might be the thing to replace the popular pocket letters. And thank you for the paper doll and the extras tucked into the flip book.
Response: Oh Kathy, the cross stitched portion was the easy part! Of course I had to "wing it"...I had no plan, and no idea of how it was going to turn out. Let's just say I'm very happy that you like your "pincushion"!
Comment: I have always wanted to visit Alaska. I just can't imagine the all daylight days or the all night time days. I would have my nights and days extremely messed up. LOL. I love the colors, and the old-timer with his Alaskan huskies of all different colors. I can't wait until I see where I am going next!
Response: I think Alaska has it's beauty, for sure. But it's a tough place to live for several reasons...the climate, the cost, and the abundant wildlife!
Comment: I love the studly men in kilts from Edinburgh and I love the way you made it look like they were atop one of the medieval castles in Old Town Scotland. I love the way our collection is coming along.
Response: Oh how I love men in kilts. In Scotland, that is...not so much here. I am such a fan of "The Outlander", and have read all the books in the series...the TV version is just as fabulous! Strong, studly men in kilts...oh yes!
Comment: Another adorable puzzle piece to add to the awesome puzzle you are making me, I should have chosen a theme, because I have no idea where I am going next with yours. Do you realize our first puzzle pieces started in June of last year? :-)
Response: I haven't lost my fascination for, and enjoyment of altered puzzle pieces...I can't wait to see our puzzles all completed!
Comment: I love how this swap turned out. I love the adorable house you put the family in, I love the family members you chose, the way you adorned them and their creative little story. you brought a chuckle to my day and a smile to my heart. I will be starting a Swap like this for Father's Day and maybe make this an every holiday Swap.
Response: I think this might have been my all-time favorite swap! I totally got into this family, and their stories! I can't wait to create another little family!
Comment: I love the parrot. You always do the most gorgeous vintage cards. They are just beautiful. Wish I could do vintage like you do. I am old enough ....vintage myself! Thank you for a wonderful swap.
Response: I'll tell you my secret, Pat: I pick up a bunch of stuff from the top of my overflowing, chaotic craft table and lay it all down on the ATC! From one vintage lady to another...thank you for the sweet comment and lovely rating. It's always a treat to swap with you!
Comment: Oh my goodness how lucky am I too receive another swap from you, I am so happy! Wow...these are adorable! I absolutely love these! The one with the children and Mom holding her head, that looks like me when my kids were small, lol. You did a beautiful job with these, I am so proud to have these in my collection. I know I have said it before but your attention to detail is amazing. I don't know how you got the gold trim around the wording but is georgeous as well as everything with such perfection. I love all the ephemera I can't wait to use those. Thank you so much for another wonderful swap.💖💕💖💕💖💕💖💕💖💕💖
Response: LOL...I kind of loved this theme, and that poor lady with the 3 battling kids is the story of my life, long ago! I guess all mothers have that in common. Oh, those were some busy days! Thank you for another great rating, and for your sweet comment...you made my week!
Comment: Hi Donetta! Perhaps you didn't know but it is a queen's prerogative to arrive fashionably late ;+) Love your bejeweled queen with her sweet corgi by her side, the lovely lace, and the music ("God Save the Queen," no doubt) . . . another beauty. Thanks, too, for those amazing little brass stampings! WOW . . . I love them. You're the best.

Comment: Thanks for a lovely rolo, and nice extra's to use in my vintagey art!
Response: Thank you for the great rating, Sandra...this one didn't "grab" me, for some reason. I worked hard on it, but...well, you know I struggle with anything larger than a 2.5x4" rolo. I'm determined to keep trying...surely at some point it has to become more comfortable for me! Your encouragement is gratefully received, believe me!
Comment: I really like this. Elephants are one of my favorite creatures.
Response: Thank you so much, Debbie...I love them too! I don't know what happened, or why...but that ATC was a hit on Flickr. It was featured on their Explore page and received over 10,000 views! I am so happy that I made it for you.
Comment: WOW Ms Donetta this is georgeous!!!! The pretty blue clock and the beautiful flowers. Yes I agree about the pose, she is perfect on this card. I love all your wonderful details which I call "donettafied" which means everything was carefully detailed with your beautiful signature touch. I am so proud to own this. Thank you for the extras, oh cool, you included the pretty gold round pieces that were on the card, that is so special, just like you! 😊💖🌟🆒ðŸ‘💕🌷
Response: My head is spinning...LOL! Kim, thank you so much for such a warm and wonderful comment...and of course for the lovely rating. It's such a pleasure to swap with you...let's never stop, okay?

The postcard...I have an "angel" in France (a Facebook fan/friend) who sent me a box of treats from the Paris flea market! Can you imagine? I'm still smiling with joy whenever I think of all the beauty she sent to me...and I love sharing with my friends.

Response: I believe the dots are Liquid Pearls, dear Kristy...and you probably already have a ton of those! My selection is very limited, and the pink and purple look almost identical. I just love having you as a swap partner, either coming or going...thank you so much for another sweet comment and fabulous heart rating!
Comment: I loved this swap! There are so many great vintage images of mustachioed men out there, and you found a great one! Wonder who he is??? That hat really tells a story, no! Wonderful ATC and I love the extras - beautiful lacy doily and the gold trim - I have never had any of that kind before, so thank you! Cheers, Laurie
Response: I know he was a German general in WWI. I loved his picture, but was almost afraid to use it...something about that skull on his hat. In the end, I went with it, as you know!
Comment: Donetta: Sorry it took so long for me to rate this wonderful Italy tag. We are now back in Mass after spending the winter in CA, so it was forwarded from there to here and took a bit longer to reach me. But so worth the wait! I love it and love the dangly crystals you used at the bottom. Loved swapping with you again! Laurie
Response: I'm not much of a tag person, but I sure am loving this Passport series! Thank you for another uplifting comment and super rating, Laurie!

Comment: This is so beautiful! I have been admiring your "ballerina" art for a long time and now to actually have one this is so very special to me. I love your image and how you add your special touches that make it so very unique. Your love for the "ballet" really shows in your cards. Thank you for the metal pieces I think I used my last one. Thank you so much for putting your heart and soul into all your work; it shines through beautifully!

I too love knowing I'm going to be getting something from you during a swap. I applaud your recycling efforts - I try to do the same when possible. And thank you for the goodies you sent me - can't wait to use them. Hope to swap with you again soon. Cheers! Laurie
Response: *Laughing*...it's two completely unrelated images, I just couldn't resist putting the girl on her bike with the gorgeous tulip/windmill scene! I've been in such a creative funk lately...does that ever happen to you? Thank you very much for the lovely comment and for that sweet little heart!
Comment: Another amazing beauty to treasure till my last breath. I have missed your creations so very much !! To add the gift of sharing your vintage Pairs trinkets took my breath away. Hearts reach beyond the sky to you my friend.
Response: You made my day...such a lovely compliment! Thank you for the sweet comment and (of course) for the heart-y rating!
Comment: Donetta, I love your beach-themed pages! Your lovely ladies (50's?) are so at home in the water and the row of beach houses. As always, your use of embellishments is inspired. I LOVE the jewel in the car's headlight (so clever) and your daisy sun with the glowing center is perfect. The backs are as pretty as the fronts, too; what a treat! Thanks so much for creating something so special for me ;+) Oh . . almost forgot to thank you for those AMAZING vellum images and the vintage book pages. I can actually write in Gregg shorthand! haha!
Response: Oh Kristy, those were so much fun to make...and after I had your "envelope" all sealed up, I noticed my note to you...still sitting on the craft table! I once studied shorthand (oh honey, we are OLD!)...but it has departed from my memory bank, sadly. A whole other "language"...lost. I am so happy that you like your journal pages...I always hope that you will like them as much as I like making them!
Comment: Donetta, your Lady in pink is gorgeous. All those sweet roses, your collaged background, and hear pearls! What a neat idea! And topped off beautifully with vintage seam binding and a ribbon rose--so delicate and pretty. Thank you so much--can't wait 'til we're partnered again!
Response: This one \was a pleasure from start to finish. Fortunately, we never have to wait long before we are partnered again...because I love opening your envelopes just as much!
Comment: Donetta, I love your bathing beauty! The theme is "Jersey Shore" and I love it. The sweet little bottlecap and the jeweled sun and that adorable starfish and "sand" all contribute to such a cute design. Thanks for another DO (Donetta Original ;+)
Response: Laughing...apparently I already used the California license plate, so I went with this Jersey girl! I loved making her for you!
Comment: Donetta, Love the Asian theme. Your details are so spectacle!!! You have an eye for creating these amazing details… Thank you for the beautiful card and the Paris treasures. Oh my!! My feet started dancing. You know I do my little happy dance! This RAK package is awesome: postcard, flowers charms wine corks, dog tags etc. Speechless over here!! : O
Thank you again for all of these precious goodies.
Response: I do adore the Asian themes...yes, I do! Thank you for posting such wonderful swaps (I join about 99% of them!), and for always being so sweet with your ratings and comments.
Comment: OH my goodness Donetta.......I absolutely love the purple journal pages you made for me. They are so beautiful, I forgot how much I really liked the shades of purple until I received these today. I have to display these beauties, they don't belong in a book. Your art work is truly amazing, and I am so inspired every time you share a photo or gift it to me so I can display them and see them every day. Thank you for that beautiful trim you used on the JP as well as the cool ribbon, this all reminds me of Spring my favorite season 🌟💖😊🆒
Response: Kim, it is always such a pleasure to send my little creations to you! I love the 4x4 pages...they are my latest favorite thing to make...and I particularly loved this purple theme. Thank you so much for the sweet comment...you made my day!...and of course for the great rating. xoxo!

Thank you for another treasure to add to my collection!
Response: BTCs are nothing but fun! I love making them, and I love seeing my many BTCs on binder rings...it's thrilling to see all that beauty right in front of me; I don't have to open a binder to see them! I am so happy that you like your little Irish colleen...I loved making this for you!
Comment: Hello my friend! Wow . . . just wow . . . your nun ATC is GORGEOUS! After seeing yours I'm SO glad I didn't send mine yet! haha . . . I love that you included a rosary piece and the Dresden looks just like a little rail . ., truly inspired and beautiful. Thank you!
Response: I was shocked that we were the only participants in this swap...and then very happy! I am not "religious", but I adore these themes...nuns and icons and angels, oh yes! I sometimes buy vintage rosaries on eBay (and when I get them, I can tell that some of them are NOT vintage), and use them in my jewelry designs. With love and respect...bestowing blessings on whoever wears the pieces. I loved making this for you!
Comment: Oh snap!!! Your ATC with a camera is so gorgeous. I love the image of the lady you chose and the pink/back color combo. When I see mail from you I know it is always, ALWAYS quality! Thanks for another wonderful addition to my "Donetta Collection". Hugs...
Response: I believe that lady is Gina Lollabrigida, and she IS beautiful...as soon as I saw that image, I knew I would be using it. I love sending to you, almost as much as I enjoy receiving artwork from you...everything you said is reciprocated at this end!
Comment: Your pin-up rolo IS wonderful...just like it says! It is really gorgeous. And the back is as pretty as the front! I didn't know which was which until I saws your name. Thank you for the obvious effort you put into every single work of art you send me. It's always a pleasure trading with you! Until next time...

Comment: Oh Donetta, how I love this atc...I just saw it last night on Flickr and thought how beautiful was! Little did I know it was going to be mine...I am a happy girl! Love, love it, especially the dangling shoe! You really did pull out all the guns on this one. Thanks so much!
Response: If you could see my beads and charms stash, you would LOL...I have so many of those little high heel shoe charms! I love using them for special occasions, and what could be more special than a Ziegfeld girl?!
Comment: What a fine looking couple and a fabulous ATC. Thanks so much Donetta.Nice napkin too. Have a wonderful day and feel the warmth Im sending over...autumn today but with temps of 103F phew.xx
Response: Okay, 103 is too hot for me...I'm a child of the Pacific rain forest! However, a little bit of warmth would be especially nice today, since I have an ice pack on my neck (and a heating pad on my back, so I don't turn blue!).
Comment: love, love, love this. This is a gorgeous surprise. Its a favorite for sure. You are a clever girl. Thank you so much Donetta. Have alovely day...such a cute bird.

Response: Raven, thank you very much for the lovely compliment and equally lovely heart rating...it's always nice to see that you're my swap partner!
Comment: I love this ATC! The photo is lovely - looks like it could be Catherine Deneuve (a French actress from the mid-20th century; we always thought my mom looked like her when she was in her 20s and 30s)! Thanks for sending it to me! And thanks for the green stamps and the little accounting page!
Response: The photo is of Lauren Hutton, a fashion model with a famous gap between her two front teeth (she wore a "thing"...like a retainer almost...during photo shoots to hide the gap. I am so happy that you like it; thank you for the sweet comment and spectacular rating!
Comment: As always a pleasure getting cards from you!
Response: This one was such fun to make...I actually cut up a vintage postcard for the occasion. And she made Flickr's Explore page, which is always so thrilling! Thank you for another most wonderful rating, Bev my friend!
Comment: It places a smile on my face when I open my mailbox to see an envie from you. What a beautiful pin up. So so lovely indeed ! Of course your prints are tiny treasures to me. I adore every bit of this swap. Thank you for always sending me your beautiful creations. Oh, and L*O*V*E your business card. Super cute!!
Response: It felt like old times...I loved making this, knowing it was going to you! I hope I motivate myself to put those business cards to good use...otherwise, what good are they? LOL...I am so aware of my failings!
Comment: Oh Donetta, I love this sweet January atc! I really love your more "primitive" style. Love, love all the little details...really nice! Thank you for the awesome extras. I adore the little tiny "charms" or embelishments and would love to know where you got them. I am a happy girl!
Response: This one really was a departure for me, and I enjoyed it thoroughly! But I sure had to think about it a lot harder than I do when making my "usual" type of ATC...those just kind of flow! I love making you happy...as I am always beyond thrilled when I see an envelope with your name in the upper left corner!
Comment: She's adorable, so glad she's mine!!! Thank your for the lovely extras, plan on using these very soon. I love the garland (paper scalloped circles and silky ribbon).. 💕💜💕💜 Sending many hearts your way!!
Response: I loved making this for you, dear Beverly! I admire Scarlett O'Hara, although I don't think I would enjoy being in her company very long! I am thrilled that you are happy to add her to your bulging rolodex!
Comment: Must be the Valentines vibe happening! What a lovely romantic tag! The only cure for any phobia is to face it so grab the glue and fancy bits and have at it! Thanks for a lovely swap!
Response: I am so happy it arrived safely...I almost fell to the floor when I heard the postage amount! I wonder...should I have wrapped the ribbons around a card and tried for a flatter effect, knowing that you could tie them onto the tag? It was totally worth it, though...I knew it was going to a good home, and I think the act of making it actually cured my tag phobia! Thank you for another superb rating, Bev!
Comment: Lalalalalala! That is the little tune that plays in my head when I get a package from you! The Arch ATC you created for me is wonderful! It is the sweetest! You are the best Valentine a girl could have! Thank you a million times darling!
Response: Haha! That's the tune that plays in my head during my waking hours, and I'm not sure it's a good thing! Donetta in Lala Land...but what can I say? You know I love swapping with you, dear...you are simply the BEST!
Comment: Another great card,, love that you went vintage( my favorite theme ) love those beautiful roses that she matches with..very beautiful card, love it and Thank you
Response: I've worried about my "style" (or is it my "signature")...so much the same, time after time. But it is so much a part of me that I can't seem to change! I am thrilled that you like it, and thank you for another lovely heart!
Comment: You never disappoint,, you took something that was cute and turned it into something beautiful.. very well done...My Donetta section in my book is looking very good...Thank you, love the extra goodies too

Comment: Hi Donetta? Am I surprised your journal pages are gorgeous? NO! And they ARE gorgeous! I'm crazy for the colors you used and all the little gold/glitter accents. You have such an "artist's eye" for perfection. And thank you for all the little goodies--those flowers are amazing! I must get more! I'm always so excited to swap together; thanks for a wonderful swap!

Comment: Donetta, These 4x4 are so lovely! Thank you!! The little girl and the lady in Paris pages are amazingly beautiful. You always go above and beyond for everyone. I know it's not just for me, you are a stellar swap partner always remember that!! I will always treasure your awe-inspiring ArT pieces. I am so jealous, you get to use real dried flowers. 💗 💗 💕 💕
Response: Thanks to you, my dear friend, I'm loving and almost addicted to making the 4x4 pages...there's something special about them! I've made 3 little albums (for special friends and for my granddaughter) and each one has been received with amazement and joy! I love that you introduced me to this wonderful art form!
Comment: Hi Donetta - Thanks so much for another incredible Rolo! You are so talented the way you design these collages and you always choose the most beautiful images. They are always really girlie. You amaze me every time. Talk to you soon -Vanne
Response: I love making (and receiving) rolos! Bev T just sent me a large rolodex, so I need to expand into the 3x5" altered rolos. Thank you so much for another lovely comment and happy heart rating, Vanne!
Comment: Hi Donetta! Thanks so much for another incredible Marilyn Rolo! I have never seen this photo before and it's so pretty how you designed it with all the roses. I can't wait to add her to my spinner! Talk to you soon Vanne

Response: I'm happy he made the trip to the southern hemisphere without melting! I had fun with him...something different for sure. Thank you for another sweet comment and spectacular rating, dear friend!
Comment: Thank you for the very beautiful Atc. Love all the detail! Thanks also for the extras. Lovely swap.
Response: Joan, you are always so sweet...thank you for another lovely rating! I loved making this one...and sending it to another Delaware lady (I think my 2 years there makes me a Delaware lady!) is the cherry on top!
Comment: Beautiful lady and a beautifully made atc,,another great work of art,, you always use the prettiest embellishments and everything is straight and neat,,I have always admired your work and I am so proud to this card to my collection,,,My old friend, Thank you so very much
Response: I loved making this for you, sweet Raven...it is such a pleasure to know that my little cards are going to a good home! It's a joy to swap with you, in either direction.
Comment: Ahhh my old friend... it is such a pleasure to receive from you again..your cards are always amazing and this one is right on top,,love those slippers, how cute..great job done with the tulle, I have some but seem to can't handle it right,,Gone into my collection book as a another great work of art by Donetta,, Thank you
Response: What a day-brightener you've given me, Raven! I loved making both of these ATCs for you, and I'm so happy that you like them! When I use the tulle, I always sew a row of machine basting stitches at the "hidden" end, so I can gather it evenly before taping it down. That's the only way I've been successful with it!
Comment: I can't believe you did all those tiny little French Knots. I would have had a hot mess. Such an adorable heart that I am proud to own. I love having the open subject however I spent hours contemplating over what to make for you. Sewing is my weakness. I guess you are probably now wondering why I would choose to make a pin cushion. :-) I also want to thank you for the awesome extras. I will definitely be using them.
Response: Oh, I love embroidery (except crewel, which never comes out "right" enough to satisfy me!)...I had such fun with your snowman. My issue was the backing...I felt as if it should have been more substantial, somehow. But other than making it into a "stuffie", I couldn't think of a way...
Comment: You are certainly the master of Altered Puzzle pieces. Where on earth did you get that tiny puzzle piece on the elephant puzzle piece? And the Lady in the tutu is so beautiful. The glittery tulle just makes her stand out even more. Such a beauty to behold. Thank you!
Response: My lovely swap partners send me things...adorable little random things...and I have a decorative storage box (bigger than a shoebox) that holds all sorts of random treasures! The tiny puzzle piece was one of those treasures. I did enjoy attaching the tutu, I really thought it made her "pop"!
Comment: My Copenhagen ATC is another beauty. I used to collect swans as they are so dainty. Thank you for the awesome ATC. I always wonder if we are going to end up picking the same city and so far we have not. So much fun!
Response: I've also wondered if we would choose the same city...it's certainly possible! And heaven help us when we get to Q and X; the selection has to be extremely limited! I love this series, and can't get enough. Just to give you a heads-up, next time (I mean, this time!) I'm honoring Edinburgh and Fairbanks!
Comment: Oh wow, my Dubai ATC is even more beautiful in person. I love the colors and jewels. I love everything about it! If I could, I would give you more than one heart. Definitely a five star card. â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤
Response: I am not-so-secretly entranced with all things Arabic. So mysterious and utterly exotic to my way of thinking. Don't be surprised if I find another Arabic city to represent, further down the alphabet!
Comment: I am loving my Freak Show APC. It made me giggle. I know you do not like the freaks, but I do, so make as many as you want to. Ha! I also love the Fair ATC. I am going to have to try and play around with making mine dimensional. You do a fabulous job! The blue ribbon looks real. And I am hoping to get some extra APCs done this time, so I can catch up with you.
Response: OMG. There are some really terrible freak show pictures! I'll stick to things like the bearded lady (didn't they have wax back in the day?) and so forth. But the fair and general circus images...they are just FUN!
Comment: Your ATC is adorable, very extraordinary that the image beyond the size continues. I wish this kind of dresses are fashionable and I could wear it.......in a nice size......thank you.
Response: Stella, thank you so much! I also love the adorable vintage dresses...I think they would be perfect for today, if only I was as small as I used to be! It is always a pleasure to swap with you.
Comment: Donetta, This card is beautiful! I would have NEVER thought of pairing a die cut with this…. Just amazing, you have so many unique ideas.
Thank you for the TH paper distresser, it's so easy to use. I’ll be making flowers this weekend. : )
Response: Someone sweetly sent me some of the hot air balloon die cuts, and I HAD to use one with those little elephants! I am so happy that you like the result! Thank you so much for another wonderful rating...I love swapping with you!
Comment: I loved this rolo on Flickr and it's even better in person. You mean to tell me your mom didn't dress like Mrs. Cleaver when you were growing up?! LOL...I liked your note. I was born in 67 so I missed all that. But I do remember our vintage furniture, decor, etc. Those were the days. Thanks for a fabulous rolo!! Till next time...
Response: LOL! My mom did wear those cute little aprons, though...which (because I'm so short) I've always thought were pointless, except for the cut
