Comment: Hi Ilyse
Thank you for your wonderful card - your weekend sounds like it was fun.
I will definitely write back, I think we'd swap some fab letters. But I'm not writing any more letters until the new year so I'll reply in early 2020 if that's ok.
Response: So glad you got the swap ok and I'd love to hear back from you in the New Year :) Have an awesome holiday!
Comment: Your card was so lovely and very much appreciated. You’re right, grieving the loss of a loved one is so final. I am doing better each day, thank you for your kind words. 💕 Your weekend sounded nice and cozy! I don’t like to go out in the rain either! I completely understand and relate to “one thing leading to another”! I will tell my husband that I am going to fold laundry and an hour later he will find me sorting clothes for goodwill! 😂
Response: Oh I'm so glad you liked my letter and the swap...and even more glad that you're doing alright ❤️Hope to swap again soon!
Comment: Yes, people definitely do drive crazy in Northern Virginia - especially in Alex! Your daughter's outfit was so nice. I really like your bold blue walls, makes your comforter pop even more! The shot of Virginia Beach was so BEAUTIFUL. I've never been to VA Beach & I live in VA!! I should go!! Thanks for sharing!! 💐
Response: Thanks so much for the nice comments and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for the notecard, letter and the little gift included! It was nice to heard from you and I am happy I got such a nice post as my first received Swap-Bot mail :) Special thanks for such warm welcome and the gift, I just thought couple of days ago I would need new thing to clean my glasses as my puppy (7 months old now, exactly the age to discover new things) stole the one I used before and I learnt it is not easy to clean glasses with a cloth that has been in puppy's mouth. Not sure how you knew that, but it was spot on!
Have a wonderful day!
Response: So happy you liked my letter and glad you can use the glass cleaner too. I have one in my purse, one in my car and one at my desk ❤️ Hope to swap again soon!
Comment: Thx for sharing your weekend with me. I haven't seen the recent Downton Abbey and am/was looking forward to it. I'm disappointed that you found it underwhelming. I'll wait until it's on DVD. Hope you enjoyed your time at the beach.
Response: Glad you liked the swap and yes, the beach was exactly what I needed! Have a great weekend, and hope to swap again soon :)
Comment: Wow, thanks so much for sharing this awesome news. Congratulations! We went through that awhile back and I still have such a good feeling of accomplishment. Nice work! Very nice card as well. Booker T's autobiography is a great story. :):):)
Response: Thanks for the affirmation and I'm glad you liked the card - thanks for the heart too!
Comment: Thank you for the long letter! It was a pleasure to read. I like the stationery too. It is hard to find nice letter stationery these days. Thank you also for the extras. :) I look forward to meeting you in the next swap!
Response: So glad you liked my letter and enjoyed reading it. And thank you very much for the heart - Happy Swapping!
Comment: I always enjoy having you as a partner! Looked up the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens which you said you'd take someone to. What an amazing place! The butterfly exhibit that's going on now and then the GardenFest of Lights looks stunning. I bet both are beautiful in their own ways! It always amazes me when people can remember their teachers from early-elementary school. What an impact they must have made on young lives!
Response: I know you and your girls would ❤️the Botanical Gardens :) It's sooo pretty! Thanks for the kind words and the heart!
Comment: Hi Ilyse,
Thank you for your beautiful card and letter. I love the stamps you used. Yes, we have retail therapy here too. I don't tend to go on them though as I really hate shopping, lol. I hope you're still enjoying your new iMac and that work has stopped being stressful for you. Or at least calmed down a bit.
Response: I'm so glad it arrived safely, and thanks for your kind words - and the heart!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Always enjoy when we are partners and yes, it is strange how SB has us as partners several times and then not for months! Not sure why it does it but I like when it matches us up! Sounds like the perfect weekend - laidback works for me! Yes, and it being September 7 - where have the previous months gone?? Another year is flying by - sigh! Enjoy your time with your son being back home! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Always nice to have you as a partner! I have not been to CA at all but your pc is sure pretty! Yes, I have heard it is suppose to be a rough winter and all I can say, is bring on the beach! LOL! Wishing you all the best! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Glad Swap-bot partnered us again - and I just wrote our TGIF 161 to you too :) Glad you liked the card and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Oh man these are tough!! My best guess is #2 "I speak 3 languages. English, French, German" !
Perhaps you speak 3 languages, but not those exact ones? Oooo I hope i'm right ~ Which one was it? :)
P.S. Happy swapping ~ xoxo
Response: Good job! You guessed the right one! Thanks for the prompt rating and the heart!
Comment: That's a big orange cat! We see quite a few feral cats in the country too. Lots of farmers around here have them to help keep the mouse population down. You must have a big dog! The paws look large! :) That's a great sign that you found...and so true!
Response: Thanks Ann - I always appreciate your kind comments and the heart too!
Comment: Thanks for the nice PC and your note.
We visited Virginia Beach, a few years ago, and I managed to get out to the end of the pier for the sunrise. Upon looking at my photos, I decided that being on the beach and having the pier in the photo, with the sunrise behind or beside it, was better.
Response: Ooh I wish I was at the beach right now 😊 Thanks for the nice comment and heart!
Comment: Hi Ilyse, happy to be paired with you again as well. Enjoyed reading about your busy weekend re-organizing. Sorry about your foot. Take care of it and watch out for falling shelves😀 thank you for the magazine. Love water 💦 life and now will have more places I want to see to add to my bucket list 😁 thank for the happy mail.
Response: Thanks so much :) And it's Friday again! Yeaaaay!
Comment: Beautiful rainbow and floral photos! I can't imagine the temperature being 107 degrees! That's very hot. The Chihuly glass display reminded me of seeing the Chihuly Garden & Glass in Seattle. He has done such beautiful and inspiring work!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful beach postcard! I like how you see the ocean. Water sort of does the same thing for me. When I on it or in it everything fades away! You should go back to Hawaii! Theres always time! Thanks for creating such a fun swap!
Response: Thanks for indulging me and my love for Hawaii!
Comment: Great creative ATC. Cute saying to be a pineapple. We lives in Norfork, Virginia for 4 years. I remember the humity. We loves Virginia. Virginia was the place to go. Being Navy we had little money. Just pack a punch and spend the day at the beach. Thank you.
Response: Thank you for your kind words :) And the heart. My hubby was in the Navy in VA Beach before we met. Thank you for serving our country!
Comment: Thank you for the nice PC and your notes on the book. I remember the summer of '69. We were headed for Woodstock but got side-tracked by some girls in Saratoga and never made it. It was just going to be another music festival, after all.
Comment: Thank you for the postcards! The Atlanta one is so pretty and absolutely love the Coca Cola postcard! I have been to the Coca Cola museum in Georgia once. Postcards were not a hobby at the time; so I never looked to see if they had any. I would like to go back and see if they have postcards. The museum was really interesting as well.
Response: That was a fun swap - thanks for the kind comments and the heart!
Comment: I've been to Virginia once, about 16 years ago, to visit my family when they lived there (military). It was winter so not a lot to see. If you come out to Oregon, I recommend you check out the coast. Interstate 101 runs all along the coast and is incredibly scenic!
Response: Glad you were able to visit VA - I'd love to see more of the west coast!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card with sunflowers and a chicken! Oh my goodness... a new car, new HVAC, new tv & router, AND a work space re-arrange? MY anxiety kicks in, just reading about it! laughs. You will settle in and enjoy your new stuff! Happy to read about the Fathers Day message, too. (hugs)
Response: LOL - when it rains, it pours! Always good to visit❤️
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard! I love your Bible verse, yes it too inspires me to stop worrying, I often wander away in my faith on that aspect. Still He lets me return into His arms. So He can continue His work in me!! Thank you and have a blessed day!
Response: So glad you liked the card, and thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the letter! I'm so sorry I couldn't rate you as soon as it came in! I travel a lot for my job and rate a lot of swaps as soon as I get them out my box! Which isn't when they get here I am sure! I truly hope that you understand. Thank you so much for swapping with me!
Response: Glad you got the swap and thanks for your nice comments and the heart.
Comment: Thanks, Ilyse, for the PC. Each of your random facts triggered something in my little brain.
1. I love that you used "an", not "a", before the word historic.
2. Do you still have a a radio show? If so, care to share the name?
3. Your mention of Richmond brought a flood of memories from my internship there many moons ago.
Thanks again for hosting and being my partner!
Response: Oh Carla - your comment made me LOL :) I'm not on the radio anymore, but I was Ilyse Jennings on XL102, EZ104 and Lite 98 here in Richmond. When were you here? Maybe you heard me! Thanks for the kind words and the heart - Hope to swap again soon!
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful and colorful postcard! On both sides. I just got a HUGE set of gel pens so I can write colorful stuff like this, too. Richmond sounds much warmer than Little Falls. Haha, reading sounds much easier and cheaper than remodeling the bathroom! I misread this at first and thought you wrote that they didn't have relaxing rain in 1900, so I laughed because I'm such a dork! Thanks for a great card!
Response: So glad you enjoyed the card - and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Lovely pictures. The sunset is gorgeous and the flowers are lovely. You have a beautiful family. I'm afraid of heights so I have great respect for your son, but that would be a nope from me. LOL.
Response: Thanks for the kind words ... and I'm with you on the climbing!
Comment: Thanks Ilyse!! That would have been the perfect card to send to my partner if I had it. I put Jack Johnson as one of my singers/concerts. He comes from Hawaii. You had a good list of bands you’ve seen. Thanks for sending.
Response: Glad you liked it, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for sharing! Blind dates can be awful. I don't do that anymore! That guy was really creepy. Haha. I have the same "thing" with songs that are stuck in my head. They are often classic rock too ;) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Response: Thanks for sharing your answers too - and thanks for the anniversary wishes :)
Comment: Illyse, thank you for the beautiful postcard. I would love to have a walkway like that to a very beautiful stream. I love the three things you would like to see before the end of the year. I lived in Massachusetts for over 60 years, so is saw many beautiful fall. They are spectacular. Also, you have to go to some of the apple groves and pick yourr own apples. I really miss that living in Eastern NC where we don't get a foliage. Love Key West, it is so different the the North. You have to have a piece of lime pie, also put on your walking shoes. The OBX is basically where I live so we always take the ferry to Cape Lookout or to the wild horses. You are used to that already. Hope you get to do all three Shirley
Response: Thank you Shirley :) Wanna do a road trip?! LOL - glad you liked the card and my 3 places to visit. Thanks for the heart too!
Comment: Thank u so much for the lovely card, u seem very genuine and kind! And that is so funny that you sent me the pomegranate tea, I spotted it in the store the other day...got sidetracked, and forgot all about it! Can’t wait to try it!
Response: So glad you liked my swap and I hope you like the tea. It became a favorite of mine right away :)
Comment: Hi, sorry for the late rating. I got so busy that this swap kinda of fell through the cracks. Thanks for sharing the story of the mom and daughter pilots. It's nice to see something good from an airline for a change.
Response: Glad you liked it and thanks for the heart!
Comment: I love your scenery photo. It looks amazing. You have a great smile too. Your kids and Pica look very relaxed. It does look like you had a very relaxed month too. I hope you enjoyed the holidays xx
Comment: You captured such a lovely sunset! American homes seem so much bigger than most NZ homes. My parent's house is probably ~1200 sqft and single story. I love the greenery in that room it brings so much life to the space <3 Thanks for sharing! ^_^
Response: Thanks Rebecca 😀Our house is little for this area - just under 1300 sqft. Glad you liked the pix!
Comment: I enjoyed seeing the photos you took around your neighborhood and home. It looks like you live in a beautiful part of the country and a lovely neighborhood. The colors in the sunset photo are gorgeous! Your daughters plants look like they are doing exceptionally well.
If you'd like to see my photos (they are rather dreary compared to yours since the snow just melted here), here's the link to my post: https://harvestmoonbyhand.blogspot.com/2019/03/march-2019-scavenger-hunt-photography.html
Comment: I totally understand. I didn't get to finish my degree either and it still bothers me. So many years of work for nothing! At least it sounds like you're doing okay without one. But still, I don't blame you for wanting a do-over!
Response: Thanks for the kind words and for the heart :)
Comment: Great photos of you and your husband. You both look so happy. That's awesome that you've been married for so long. The view of the ocean is beautiful. Your son is incredibly brave to be rock climbing on such a sheer cliff. WOW!
Response: Thanks Ann ❤️ We had a great month and it’s always fun to share.
Comment: Thanks for the pretty ocean card from NC, Ilyse! My list of places not been to but want to see is every bit as long. The really pathetic part? I've worked in the travel industry for 40 years as of this June!
Response: Lol! Glad you liked the card. Safe travels and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Ha! Love the marguarita card you sent... I could use a few. ;) Lovely hearing from you, ooh, especially interested in that Great Big GreenHouse and your radio time there. Thanks so much for the well wishes, too! Love and Hugs!
Response: I'll have to remember to tell you more about the GBGH and radio days... LOL...Thanks for rating, for the heart, and continuing to host my favorite regular swap on the Bot! ❤️
Comment: I am so so sorry for the delayed rating! Thank you so much for your profile comment and for your lovely words! You should totally come back to Aus, it's incredible, Tassie is pretty spectacular! I hope you have a stellar week ^_^
Response: Thank you so much - I wish I was there right now!
Comment: Congratulations on your award! That's awesome! Yes, your dogs look like they are ready for warmer and more regular weather. We've had crazy weather here too this past week: -34 with -50+ windchills and then over 40 degrees today. That's a 74 degree temperature change or 90 degree change if you factor in windchill. The winter scene looks so colorful and peaceful.
Response: ooooh - that is so cold! Thanks Ann - I hope things warm up for all of us. Not too bad here today, and tomorrow is supposed to hit 71* - Yeaay!
Comment: That's a great family photo! Jacob certainly looks to have the physical strength in his arms to enjoy bouldering. That looks like a lot of fun; and I'm sure having strong arm muscles makes it easier to do (though still challenging). What great dogs...they look so content and peaceful. Swift Creek Reservoir looks the type of place I would enjoy relaxing and watching the sunset. That's such a beautiful photo.
Response: Thanks for the great comments - I really love the feedback! And thank you for the heart!
Comment: Hi Ilyse, thank you very much for the postcard. I really like the different churches. Can you believe we will begin a new year tomorrow? Where does the time go? I hope you have a wonderful and prosperous New Year.
Comment: Enjoyed seeing the items you found for the scavenger hunt! The Christmas tree is beautiful. It must have been huge with all those teddy bears on it. You had quite a few icicles on your home. We've had a winter storm here and I'm expecting lots of icicles this week too.
Response: Thanks Ann! Glad you enjoyed the visit 😀 The icicles are all gone and it’s supposed to be 65* tomorrow!
Comment: Thank you for taking the time to resend. Though still I didn't receive it (thanks to my sucky PO it will probably show up someday. I'm giving you a 5 for the extra effort to get it out to me though.
It finally appeared. I don't know where it had been hiding all that time. My mom gave me a bag of mail from the PO today and it was in it.
I finally received your card. I have no idea where it was hiding. It's a card of Penn's cave. I don't know if this was the first or 2nd card that you sent but I just wanted to let you know that I received one either way.
I just received what I think was the original card because it was postmarked 10/18. I'd love to know where its been hiding for over 4 months
Response: 2/28/19 - isn't that crazy?! Glad both cards eventually made it to you.
I'd like to know where that original one was too! Update - if the card went to your work, it was the resend. If it went to your PO, it was the original. Glad it finally arrived, and hopefully you will have 2 in the end. thanks Melissa - hopefully the original sent to your PO and the resend sent to your work will both show up!
Comment: I've never had Turkey before! I was about to say I have never had pumpkin pie but a friend who lived in the US for a decade made it when I came over once. I recall being a bit unsure of whether I liked it or not haha. It sounds like you had a lovely time together as a family. God bless, Rebecca
Response: It's always fascinating to hear what people think about American food, traditions too. Come visit me for Thanksgiving, and I'll let you try everything! Thanks Rebecca!
Comment: Loved reading about your weekend. Such a lovely kind of busy. Your career sounds exciting. I was a Children’s Librarian/ Department Head for 20 years...which was my dream job and after, but decided to try and stay relevant, stay busy and I am working on a second Masters in Social Work. Thank you so much for the extra card.
Response: Thanks for the nice comments and the heart - It's been busy here with the end of year push. Today, we got a FOOT of snow - crazy!
Comment: The foods look absolutely delicious! We don't do the whole thanksgiving/turkey-thing here and I've never tasted a turkey like that but it looks so tasty! I had a labyrinth bowl for one of our cats but he finally learned to eat slower so it's kinda useless these days, but a really clever thing to have! I love the idea of tape-palling but I really hate how I sound on record so I don't think I could do it. Too bad tapes re getting kinda rare, I still love the idea of them but I guess they'll be gone altogether soon :( thanks for sharing! Oh, and I didn't actually get the first message so thanks for sending a new one :D
Response: I'd love for you to visit one Thanksgiving! It's fun to share with others especially since we have a small family. It's really fun when you get 20-30 people together - great times!
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard! I hope you do this swap again, it’s been so much fun! I missed one at thanksgiving but I hope there is another opportunity to do this fun swap again! I love the answers. You made my day!
Response: I'm so glad you're enjoying the series 😀and yes, I'll be continuing it - I like it too! Thank you for the heart ❤️
Comment: I'm the opposite of you and love rain. I'm glad you are getting the sun you love so much!
Response: I guess I don't mind rain if it cools things down on a hot summer day, or if it helps green everything up in the Spring... It's the cold and dreary November rain that makes me want to hibernate till April! LOL - Thanks for rating, and for the heart :)
Comment: Hey there Ms. Ilyse! So fun to have you at my mailbox again so soon! Sounds like a very productive weekend, with some fun and relaxation added to the mix! Another words, a really good one! Thanks so much for the wonderful Thanksgiving address labels - you are so good to me! Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving of love, good food, and fun! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Hi Vicky - glad you liked my letter and the labels. You'll have to write a lot of letters and send a lot of swaps to use them up :) Happy Thanksgiving :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your beautiful card! I saw "A Star is Born" as well! I haven't been the US, I hope to go one day! I'm actually going to New Zealand in January, so I can't wait! It sounds like you had a lovely weekend ^_^
Response: Thanks for the nice comments and the heart. I hope you have a great visit to NZ ... jealous!!
Comment: I was kinda expecting you to talk about that trip :D haha awesome! I looked at all your pictures, your daughter looks just like you :D Thanks a lot for your recommendations! Sure sounds like it was a great trip ♥
Response: Thank you for checking out all the pix - there’s so much to do there!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Always wonderful to have you as a partner! Thank you for the great share and recipe! Fall is here in full swing and we have had a few days of rain so lots of leaves done - sigh! Sorry you did not get your stress-free weekend but life is like that at times unfortunately! Hoping things are working out though! Sending hugs and good thoughts your way! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks Vicky, I appreciate the positive mojo and sweet comments. Hope you’re having a great weekend too!
Comment: Haha, I LOVE Halloween, it's too bad it's only now gaining popularity here in Finland :D I would totally decorate my home with creepy, gory stuff all year around but I totally get it's not everyone's cup of tea :D that comforter looks extra fluffy! It's getting colder in here (I hate winter -_-) so I better start stacking up on extra comforters and fleece throws! I can't wait to see the new Fantastic Beasts, only a few more weeks to go! I went to the movies this month as well, saw Marvels Venom and it has much more humor then I thought it would have, loved it :) see you next time, Happy just-an-average-not-at-all-Halloweeny-Wedesyda ;)
Response: Happy Halloween! Thanks for the great comments and heart. We only had a few Trick or treaters this year...but the kids are all so cute!
Comment: Thanks for sharing your recommendations! I love the photos, and the cabin is amazing! I visited something similar to Pancake Pantry once, and your recommendation is now on my list too ;) Thanks once again.
Response: It's worth the visit for sure - Thanks for hosting the swap :) It was fun putting it together and I'm looking forward to everyone else's swaps too!
Comment: I love the hotel shampoos etc, so good for the environment not have single use packs! A hotel chain I use if I have to use a hotel also has these, I love it :) the dotted tumbler is cute, I just have a plain bottle for my stuff but maybe I'll have to buy a cute one, just in case :D thanks for sharing, always nice to hear from you! :)
Response: Thanks Noora😊😊😊 hope you’re having a great weekend!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Always great fun to have you as a partner and I am glad you enjoyed your weekend! All the extras were a hoot - did not expect to have fall from an envie! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Happy Fall to you too Vicky - hope this weekend's a good one too :)
Comment: Thank you so much for sharing your day with me!! I hope you’re ok and no damage or power loss from the hurricane? Thanks a lot for all the goodies you sent! I can use everything and that type of calendar is my favorite, woo hoo!!! Love the postcard with the poodle and it’s a new one for me! Your package was delivered on Saturday but the key they gave me didn’t work! So I had to wait until the PO was open today to pick it up. Thank you again, this was so nice of you and I loved hearing about a day in your life!!! : )
Response: So happy the package arrived safely and you can use the goodies! That show is like trick-or-treating for grown-ups! We did ok through the storm but I'll feel better tomorrow when it's sunny and 85° 😀
Comment: WOW! The cloud formation is amazing - especially with the hint of sunlight behind them and the rays shooting out. Absolutely spectacular! We're doing some decluttering around here as well. It's such a good feeling to get things out and have more space, isn't it?
Response: I really am obsessed with cool clouds and sunrises/sunsets :) Glad you liked them too. Good luck with your decluttering - yes, it's a great feeling when it's finished. :) Thanks for the great comments and the heart!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your day with me! ☺ I live in a relatively "boring" country when it comes to natural phenomena and when I take a moment to think about it I'm glad. Sorry! Of course I hope the hurricane won't hit you hard! I'll be watching the news and thinking about you / praying for you!
Response: Thank you Kate :) Boring would be nice for a change - LOL!!
Comment: Love your PC and answers and I'm having a lot of fun with these swaps and am making up weird reasons for being late! My "J" one was: Jack Sparrow jaywalked into my jalopy! And the puffy "J" on the back came through the mail without a scratch. Thank you!
Response: Just jolly! LOL - I think these are fun too - Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Comment: It is letters like yours that make swapping on swapbot truly fun. I am sitting here listening to Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, reading and rating the pile of swap mail I picked up yesterday. I’m glad you got to have some much needed and earned down time. That humidity at 88% doesn’t sound comfortable at all. Glad you were able to get you dehumidifier back. Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend. Thank you for the tea. Both are new to me so I’m looking forward to trying them. Thanks again. 🇺🇸
Response: Thank you so much for your sweet comments and the heart. Glad you liked the letter and I hope you enjoy the tea - some of my favorites!
Comment: I'm so with you on the favorite/most disliked seasons! People always assume I love winter because I'm from Finland but it truly is something I could happily live without! I don't enjoy the old, dark times and I always feel so low on energy and motivation during winter months. Ugh XD I love reading you talk about your work! it seems like you truly enjoy what you do, I hope I can one day reach that mindset :) you should send me your chicken recipe if it's not a huge family secret! I love chicken dishes and I'm always interested in new ones to try out :) best of luck to your finances, I hope you can give the bad ones the boot :D
Response: Thanks for the great comments Noora - it's so good to get to know each other better! The chicken recipe is on its way to your email :)
Comment: Hey you! Loved reading through your swap again, thank you! I love clouds and churches so you ticked two my list right here :D I have a knick knack shelve as well, I love seeing pictures and little things full of memories when I look around my home :) regarding your clutter-pic, isn't it the most satisfying feeling EVER to get something done after a long day working on i? Its like doing dishes when the counter is finally clean and stuff is in their right place XD
Response: Aww - glad you liked the pictures! I always love your pix too - so neat to see different parts of the world. ❤️Thanks for the sweet comments and the heart.
Comment: Hi Ilyse! It has been awhile since we were partners - love when we are though! All is good this way - summer is slipping away - sigh! I am a tad tired of the heat, maybe more the humidity but know I will miss it when we have snow! LOL! Such a fickle creature! LOL! Hope all is great your way! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Good to hear from you, as always! Thanks for rating and for the heart - enjoy the last few days of summer! I'm already seeing some Pumpkin Spice stuff :)
Comment: Wow, I absolutely LOVE this postcard, it is so unique! I'll have to look into the company to see what else they make! I agree that it's important to speak to open minded people for the best conversations. Thanks for the well wishes and a great swap!
Response: So glad you liked the card - thanks for the nice comment and the heart!
Comment: ((Ilyse!))) What a beautiful postcard, and I'm am SO on the same page as you are! The Shack...wow, just wow. And I don't believe in coincidence - my Mom and I were just discussing this book a couple of weeks ago. Thank you so much, what a pleasure to receive from you
Response: How cool is that?! The Shack was/is amazing :) Blessed to be a blessing and to pass it on ❤️Hope to swap again soon!
Comment: Thank you for sharing. I loved both incense and Weebles stories. But the breakfast was the funniest part. Cheese and olives are part of what we call Israeli breakfast (alonside vegetables, white cheeses and tuna salad), and it is as regular as it can be. :D
Response: That's very cool ! Thanks for letting me know that I'm not too weird after all (some people might find that hard to believe)!
Comment: Sorry about the late rating. I enjoyed the journey. Love the name of the store "Tuesday Morning." And one that sells stationery items! Also love the shoe paper; good timing ;) The entire swap was well done!
Comment: What an absolutely delightful package! Your day sounds like
it was wonderful and you described it so well that I felt like I was there with you! Thank you so much for the really neat vintage postage and all the brochures and pictures of your day. I love it all!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the visit! We really did have a nice day…there was so much to see and do. Thank you for the heart too!
Comment: Thank you for your book recommendations. Isn't it weird how sometimes we read a book written in the past and then something happens in present day and you think to yourself: Wow, it's like in that book! Really makes you wonder how come some things never change!
Comment: I read about the shot state trooper online and while it was a sad story, it made me smile to read that your new friend is living because of this trooper. Transplant receivers are so amazing, I don't think I'd have the will and perseverance to got through the things they handle. Kudos for your new friend!!
Response: Thank you Noora - I haven't stopped being amazed by that story and how life's twists and turns take us places we could never design on our own. :)
Comment: Thank you for a fun swap and sending me your picture(s). This was a really cool swap. I've had pictures of my electronic coloring pages in my phone for awhile and didn't know what to do with them. hahahaha
Response: Thanks- I think I’ll host this one again 😀
Comment: 6/30/2018-First, I must say I love the purple postage envelope. Thank you for all the purple goodies you included in this swap. I loved it all and I can't wait to make use of it all. Happy swapping.<3
Response: Wow - that reached you fast! Yeah! Enjoy - and thanks for the heart :)
Comment: I'm so sorry for my late reply, I haven't been very active here lately and it's showing :( I really enjoyed your swap though, I wish more people would take on reading again :) thanks for sharing!
Comment: Thank you so much for the extras - yes I do love Hawaii! I have only been once, but will definitely go back and explore more. I look forward to reading about your journey and contributing to your journal.

Comment: Thank you for the nice recycled card. It's amazing how lovely the paper can be even recycled! Yes, we deserve to at least get credit for all that we do, even if we don't collect a paycheck, lol!
Comment: It's really great getting to know you better, Ilyse. I enjoyed your answers to the questions. But. . . If you like Summer best, our friendship may need to end. I am all about Winter! The colder it is outside, the happier I am inside. :-) (J/K, of course!) ;-) Thank you so much for sharing! :-) <3
Response: hahahhaha! You can't get rid of me that easily! Maybe we should trade addresses :)
Comment: Thank you so much for such a long letter! I loved reading all about your weekend and adore the ATC. I've actually been pretty interested in ATCs but haven't made the plunge in trying them out yet. Thanks for the advice about electronic swaps, by the way! I hadn't thought about that being an option while moving, but you're totally right! I'll keep that in mind. It's nice to hear that you had such a good experience going to church this Sunday. I love hearing about how religion/spirituality/faith has impacted someone's life. Good luck on your road trip!! Thanks again and best wishes ♥
Response: Thanks for the sweet comments! Have fun trying ATCs - they’re quite fun! And I hope this has been a fun weekend for you - they sure go by fast, don’t they?!

Response: Small world, isn't it? I had fun at the biz-baz last weekend :) Thanks for the heart!
Comment: That's a beautiful photo of the sky and clouds! The purple robe looks very comfortable. I agree with you regarding the animals you photographed at Petco. They would be great in someone else's home...not mine. They are intriguing to look at, though!
Response: Thanks for going through the photos and for the nice comments...and the heart!
Comment: I hope you're feeling all better now, my aunt is currently in the hospital for the same stuff! She's getting better day by day but boy, does that sound like it sucks! The salmon salad looks so amazing, salmon is my 2nd favorite fish which means I could eat it every day of my life :D your son and his gf look so happy together, all the best for them! Scrabble is one of my favorite games, I love playing it with friends though I usually end up losing :D
Response: Thanks for going through the pictures :) Yes, I'm feeling much better (finally!) and hope your aunt is released soon too. Always good to catch up with ya!
Comment: Omg my package arrived I can’t wait to dive into this bad boy!!!! Feels like Xmas but it’s Easter lol thanks so much Ilyse I can’t wait.. OPENED MY PACKAGE TODAY: You totally spoiled me. I love my Amazon Wishlist book, the colored pencils!!! All the Disney stuff, my old lady candy Necco Wafers, my daughter wants the Minnie Mouse jelly beans. Again thank you so much for everything I love it and I felt like a kid on easter oh and my son swapped the ring pop lol as expected

Comment: Thank you so much for the adorable card (I loved the envleope too), AND the extra added postcard! It was great to hear about your weekend and I hope you've recovered from the Winter weather :)
Response: Glad you liked the swap and my note - Feeling much better here, and still anxiously awaiting Spring! Have a great weekend :)
Comment: I'm so sorry Ilyse. I inadvertantly pressed the "...do not wish to rate at this time.." choice! I distinctly remember your card, because it had "Frito's" as a choice.... my favorite. That's what happens when I get in a hurry! So sorry, again! 😟
Response: No worries! Just following up - glad you got the card! Thanks 😀
Comment: hello happy mom! very pretty name/would not have guessed the pronounciation ... love your look into the future (#31), hee! that's about what my anticipation is for me, too ;)
interesting having a *travelling* job & hope all your roads are smooth & clear > enjoy staying home whenever/happy friday!
Comment: Wow, you really blessed me! I am going to write you back if that's ok. The card is front & center on the fridge. I have literally cried all week, but you definitely made me smile. Isn't God THE best!! The recipe sounds great & is on the menu for next week.
Response: So happy you liked my card and letter - prayers continue!
Comment: Sorry to hear you've been sick! But also good to hear you're getting better :) Your son and his girlfriend look so happy! That salmon looks delicious and Scrabble is one of my favorite board games<3
Response: Thanks for the great reviews, and especially the get well wishes!
Comment: Hey friend!
It's been a while since I've had a good stash of FBs! Thanks! And just love the valentine card and fun sticker sheet, you're the best! Hope to see you again soon! â¤ï¸Happy February!💗Love Debbie

Comment: Wow, Ilyse! You sent to me an envelope full of "gems!" Each & every item I can use for my arts & crafts. The feathers will be used to make fun cat toys. My BF's cats love the feathers tied & glued together on long string. Thank you so much for an envelope full of Wow!
Response: Yeaaay!! Glad you enjoyed the swap. 😀
Comment: Thank you so much for the fun Magpie Journal! Aren’t they fun to make?! Each time I look through yours I see something new! I especially love the colorful stamp collage on the first page! Again, thank you so much. I will enjoy looking through this over and over again.
Response: I’m completely hooked on these! Thanks for the nice comments and the heart!
Comment: You aren’t that far away from little old leesburg, that’s sort of rare, I’m enjoying the momentary ‘warm’ until it gets normal 30’s again, *knock on wood* just hope there’s no heavy snow this year!
Response: Thanks so much...I'm in Leesburg a few times a year for my work. I like your area. It's just getting there that stresses me out! LOL!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Always fun to have you as a partner! I would not have expected a snow pic from HI! That is a hoot! I have never been but it is on my bucket list! I am ready for summer - it has been too dang cold! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Yes - it had been a few weeks! LOL! Here's to a great year of swaps and friendship â¤ï¸
Comment: Thank you for sharing. A family reunion sounds amazing. A lot of my family are in the USA and Canada and there was a big reunion but this was in August 2016 and I couldn’t go. Hopefully I can make the next one. Good luck with your goals x
Response: Thanks so much :) I hope you make it to your next family reunion too...it's getting harder and harder to get everyone together!
Comment: Thank you so much for the cute card and plethora of extra goodies! I love the PC with the photos you took! Where is the cemetery located that's in your photo? And the soap smells amazing!
Response: So glad you got it and liked what I sent :) I came across that cemetery in SW Virginia on one of my work trips. I go through some really quaint small towns and find fun stuff. Happy New Year!
Comment: Wow, you did some great stuff in 2017. I'm especially envious of the kitchen remodel and debt-free status. Congrats on the weight loss! I followed the same eating concept in 2015 and lost 60 pounds and feel so much better. :) Here's to an even better 2018!
Response: Thanks TC! KUDOS to you too on losing 60 pounds! That’s fantastic!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your trip with me. It looks so great, would love to visit the DR someday too.
Looks like paradies!
And a hot tub on the lanai WOW! (At first I had to google what a lanai is ^^)
My fingers are crossed that you will win again. Mexico sounds so great, it is on my travel bucket list too!
Response: Thanks for the good wishes...I hope you get to the DR one day too. Or any tropical island! â¤ï¸ðŸŒ´â¤ï¸ðŸŒ´
Comment: Ilyse ... I absolutely LOVED this card and your letter. Dragonflies are my absolute FAVORITE thing. I enjoyed reading about your busy week and would love to see you again in another swap! Let me know how the finished kitchen comes out!
Comment: I love how you presented your 10 Things I'm Grateful For, Ilyse. Writing them as just a list and accompanying them with your story that way made it very interesting to read! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Response: Thanks Jen - I enjoy reflecting on blessings :)
Comment: Hi Ilyse! This is amazingly cheerful parcel. First, the card is absolutely gorgeous--the embossed flowers look so elegant. Your note is so nice and I love all the little goodies you sent . . . kitties!! ;+) and those neat notecards (the Barbie one is gorgeous). I've already put the Halloween papers away for next year's crafting. Such a thoughtful package--and much appreciated.
Response: So glad you liked everything - your comments made my day, and thanks for the heart :)
Comment: Hi Ilyse!
Thank you so much for the lovely pictures and story’s! I hope you had a great time with your son! And respect that you have lost so many pounds! Nice trip you had to NYC! Wish you all the best!
Response: You're welcome - thanks for your sweet comments and for the heart. I love sharing pictures :)
Comment: Thank you for the nice wish, Ilyse! I love how you used the words you found to write about the weather. :-) I myself am dreaming (always!) about a super cold winter, with lots of snow. Unfortunately, living in southern Arizona, we don't often get super cold temps OR snow. But I can dream! And I do!!! :-) Thank you for sharing!!! <3
Response: Thanks Jen - I would trade climates with you in a heartbeat! â¤ï¸
Comment: Loved reading your letter and after reading it had some questions that I would enjoy asking you. Thank you so much for the extras you sent as well. You mentioned that if I had any questions about swap bot i could ask you. can i pm (email) you? if not thats okay, blessings to you.
Response: Thanks so much for the sweet comments :) Yes, of course, I'd love to hear from you - email, PM or snail mail. Hope you have a great week ahead!
Comment: Thanks for swapping your fav photos for the month of Oct. I love that you put them on your blog. I am super jealous of your awesome weekend with your co-workers and your Breast cancer walk. I need a weekend like that!! I love look at your photos. Happy Swapping!!
Response: Thanks so much - I love these swaps :) Glad you liked what I shared, and I hope you get a fun weekend too. â¤ï¸
Comment: It's nice getting to know you better, Ilyse! I enjoyed your stories and the pictures you chose to accompany them. But . . . Is that a License Plate on your desk?! :-) Thank you for sharing! â¤
Response: Thank you Jen! The license plates came off my husband’s car, that he totaled when out-of-state a few weeks ago. The manager of the junkyard sent the plates back to us, and I just got them in the mail today!
Comment: We have a similar system in some cities here in Finland for the free clothes, I just wish it'd be adapted in more places since there are so many people who need that kind of thing! How come dogs always look so guilty when you try to take a photo of them? My sisters staffy has this pitiful face in his photos like 90€ of the time :D The jacket looks really nice, thanks for reminding me to try to look for a new one ;) And I love the photos of your mom and dad and you, such a sweet pair!
Response: Thanks for checking out the pix and your comments :) I agree that more places should try to help those who need help - I like knowing I can help.
Comment: Thanks for sharing your musical memories, Ilyse! My favorite song from your list is arguably Footloose. I too love the original film. But I don't think I've seen the reboot! (The original, for me, is THE film!) :-) Thank you so much for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for sharing your home. I love the quality of your photos and especially love the color of the walls in your office.. such a tranquil blue.
Response: Thanks Melissa :) The blue is both calming and energizing for me. I think that when I'm in a good frame of mind, I am relaxed, but productive. Glad you liked the photos, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the 🖤!! Bitty Kitty [ her full name is Bitty Kitty the adventure buddy lol] was inspired by flat Stanley in a way. Just not sending her around for others to take photos.. I went to about 5 stores and felt countless blind bags to find her in mermaid form. Im not chancing losing her, lol.
Response: That’s so cool! I wish I had done that when I used to travel a lot more😀
Comment: I wish your son all the best for the new career, that van looks amazing! Some people are just so good with their hands, its amazing :) also great to hear business is picking up and the kitchen is coming together, can't wait to see it fully done! You and your hubby look dashing, I didn't know he's a pastor! :D you are totally right, it's nice to get to know people a little better by these swaps :) I noticed for once I didn't have you as a partner for sending so feel free to check my blog (n00r4.blogspot.com) fr my latest post for this swap :) I'll see you on Snapchat and here again :) take care!
Response: Thanks for you sweet comments - I always enjoy hearing from you and I love our picture exchanges :) I enjoyed your blog too - thanks for the link. Love and hugs to you and your sweet nephew - my heart is feeling a strong tug right now. â¤ï¸
Comment: It's nice to hear from you. :) (I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with the pen-palling lately.) Your son's car-apartment is really amazing! And the picture of you and your husband at the wedding is nice, you look very happy. :) I'll send my swap to you too when I write it.
Response: Thanks Tuuli - It's good to hear from you! I was happy to see that you were one of my partners :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your letter and all the goodies! I literally freaked out when I opened it because I was so excited lol! It sounds like a nice weekend! I hope your next weekend is enjoyable to!
Response: Glad you liked my letter and the goodies - This is one of my favorite swaps and I love it when a simple letter can brighten someone's day. Thanks for the nice comments and the heart -- Have a great weekend!
Comment: It's good to hear from you, it's been a while since we swapped :) Those tomatoes look delicious, I'm more like a serial killer when it comes to growing things I tend to just stick to succulents (which I actually manage to kill in a while as well... oops?) our parents are also redoing their kitchen in mostly white and grey as well, I bet yours and theirs will look nice and fresh once done :) no way I'd just take a photo of candy unless they'd be on their way to the cashier at that point :,D Thanks for sharing as always!!
Response: Hahah - serial killer?! That’s me too😊 The grey and white is pretty trendy now. I hope we get ours finished before it goes out of style!
Comment: So let's give this a second go! That flat bread meal looks absolutely delicious! I live anything with chicken so I would probably get this as well :D the restaurant looks nice, I don't like places that are too stuffed with tables so there's enough space to move around in yours! Your selfie is perfectly fine, you look lovely :) all the best for the kitchen project, the plans look really nice!
Response: You're too kind! Wish we could get together for dinner sometime - we'd have so much fun :)
Comment: Hi Ilyse!
Thank you very much for the comment on my profile! Irma didn't do anything to our Island, luckily. Unfortunally She hit our sister Island St. Martin, Saba and Statia. The islands are in very bad condition. More than 90% on the islands is gone!
I wish you all the best!
Warm greeting from me!
Response: The coverage from St. Martin truly hurt my heart...glad you all are OK! Thanks for rating and for the heart :)
Comment: Great photos, Ilyse! I enjoyed our dinner together. :-) I hope you had a good time, too! That looked like a nice place. Why doesn't your family like to eat there? Eating alone is something I do a lot. (Well, my Max is always with me!) I loved your selfie! Thank you so much for sharing! I especially loved that you included pictures of what drove you to eat out: a kitchen remodel sounds exciting - and noisy-busy! I hope it goes well for you! <3
Response: Thanks Jen! The family just prefers other places more, so we end up going elsewhere. There's a great BBQ place in the same shopping center, and one of our favorite Italian places right across the street...so, if we're staying close to home, we end up at either of those two. It was nice to go there this time!
Comment: So good to hear from you again, and what a beautiful watercolour crab card: Thank You! Sounds like a nice weekend of projects and crafts and family time (and the van sounds awesome). Thanks for sharing!
Response: Glad you got the card and thank you for the heart! My son is climbing in West Virginia this weekend, and has reported that the van sleeps great! He has really done an awesome job!
Comment: Thanks for swapping with me in the ESG~ fav photos!! That walkway looks awesome!! I wish I could do something like that with mine. Your son did a great job! Can't wait to see your pic for Sept!! Happy Swapping!
Response: Thanks so much - didn't he do a great job?! I could never do that either! Thanks for swapping!
Comment: Sorry for the late rate! I totally missed your email! I loved reading of your memories - you have to be just about my same age. I graduated high school and went on to college (not Brown!) in 1974, and I had the same haircuts as in all of your photos, and was wearing ponchos in the mid-1970s, too! Thanks for sending!
Response: Oh how funny! We're vintage! Glad you liked the swap, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you for all of the extras as well as the note! I really enjoyed reading about you and your life! I could hardly imagine being the pastor of one church let alone three! I truly enjoyed your envelope and I'm glad to "meet" you.
Comment: Hi Ilyse!! I wish I could give you more than one heart, as you not only told how much you enjoyed your weekend and spending time with your kiddos - you also spoiled me with the address labels and swap cards! All I can say is WOW!! I am also not ready for fall - summer just seems to get shorter each year or we have gotten busier, which seems crazy since we no longer have kiddos in school.... I also agree that having pumpkin everything in August is just wrong and I also like it but not so dang early!! LOL! Thank you so much for the great share (I also admire your son - to be so smart and such a go getter!! Wishing him much success on his venture!) and I also enjoy when we are partners - thank you SB!! LOL!! Hope you have another fun weekend! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I'm glad you liked the swap and goodies - and thanks so much for the encouraging words for my son's new venture. You're so sweet - Hope you have a great weekend too, and... till next time - Happy Swapping! Love ya!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Love the flowers on the pc and what a great way to pick your user name! I was not so clever! LOL! Hope you are having a Happy Birthday and it is always nice when we are partners! Hugs, Happy Birthday and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks Vicky! Fun birthday - just got home from dinner 😀
Comment: Thank you so much! I really enjoyed getting to know you a little better. You and I actually had 2-3 answers that were very much the same. Maybe we're sisters and didn't know it! Heehee!
Response: I am not at all surprised! It's easy to feel connected and fun to get to know you little better. Thanks for rating and for the heart!
Comment: Great PC of Chicago - I've only been to Chicago once on business and unfortunately it was during the coldest time of year. Luckily I was brought up in South Dakota so I knew how cold it could get but the wind was brutal! Thanks again for the great PC for this swap ~~
Response: There aren't many places colder than The Windy City, but I'll bet SD is one of them! Glad you liked the card, and thanks for the heart!
Comment: ugh! i'm super jealous of you! my house is in desperate need for organization, but i'm so bad at it (unless it's my books. all 5 of my bookshelves are perfect). thanks for all the friendship sheets. i will always take any that you don't want. i'm addicted to the sheets and books. i also like making books and sheets.
Response: LOL - Don't be jealous - really. It's short-lived at best around here :) Glad you liked the swap and thanks for the heart...and thanks for offering to take the excess FSS - I'll send more next time!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! I so enjoy when we are partners! Your weekend sounds like it had some issues - yikes! Hope that Pica is feeling better - poor baby! Also will add your hubby to my prayer list - you do not sound insensitive - I have lived for years with my hubby saying he was not going to live to see 50, he is going to be 55 this year! As you said, nothing is definite except we all know we will not get out of this life alive, so enjoy each day like it could be your last because you just never know!! Sending big hugs for you my dear friend and hoping this week has been much better!! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Hi Vicky - thanks for the prayers and good wishes - Pica is feeling a lot better and it's been hard to keep her down, which is good and bad - LOL! I really appreciate your encouragement and friendship :)
Comment: Thank you for the very nice card of our nation's capital. I just read your profile and we DO have an awful lot in common! Have a great weekend and happy swapping. Look forward to being partners again.
Comment: Thanks for an abundance of great items that so perfectly fit my profile! What fun to receive your son's classy Arches postcard creation! I can't wait to show it to my son who just chose to leave his position as graphic artist for a college and started his own graphic design company! (Exciting or scary move- I'm not sure.) I love the Charles Stanley photo and verse cards: I really enjoy catching him on the radio some days on the way to work. And that letterpress card of Roanoke City Market is very cool. Spectacular 3d globe card and I don't have that giraffe card from Dumbo film yet! Everything was wonderful, even the Hello Kitty decorated envelope. Loved reading your happy letter and getting acquainted! Many thanks.
Response: I'm so glad you liked the swap :) Thanks for the heart, and enjoy the week ahead!
Comment: Another great note!! I have ordered the bulkier items on Walmart's website and had them delivered to my apartment. I haven't yet tried the ordering online and picking it up at the store yet though. We'll talk...LOL
Response: Glad you got the second card… And thank you for your email. When I get a break I have a story to share. Have a great weekend!
Comment: This must be one of my favorite swaps thus far! I really enjoyed looking through your post, your kids look just like you and NO WAY you're 60+ :O I'm sorry that you lost Kiwi but Sonny and Cher seem like a good pair ;) Thanks so much for sharing!
Response: Thank you for the kind comments. I don't usually 'feel' 60, but there are days I do! LOL! Thanks for the heart too - I enjoy seeing everyones' photos too.
Comment: Thanks for sharing as always :) My niece had a ballet recital last month and while they really don't do much else than run around the stage it's still so darn cute :D Congrats on your weight loss, that's amazing!!
Response: Thank you Eve - Glad you liked the glimpse into my little corner of the world. I love watching little girls "dance" too -- I miss those days!
Comment: Oh yes, Maui is the perfect spot for your picture to be taken Ilyse!! I'm a firm believer that if you can visualize it and believe it will happen then it will :D Do you have your flip flops ready? hehe xoxoxo
Response: Right?! My flip flops are ALWAYS ready 🌴â¤ï¸
Comment: Hi Ilyse! It was fun having you as a partner again and yes, I want to see that field of flowers in person!! Just lovely! Thanks for the wonderful Happy Mail - it made my day! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: You're welcome! Happy Memorial Day weekend and thanks for the heart :)
Comment: Thank you for the sweet photos =) I got your first e-mail, but my inbox has been flooded with work and other types of nagging, so it's taken a while to get back to the bottom where I was a week ago! I miss having birds around, they are cool. But wouldn't last more than a few minutes at our house...
Response: Thanks - It's odd how oblivious the dog is when I let the bird out of the cage! Loved seeing your kitties too :)
Comment: Thank you a bunch! So much joy opening and reading your swap. I loved the postcards. I really enjoy reading other people's postcards. It's like a nice little glimpse into someone else's life that you know nothing about.
Response: So glad you liked the swap :) And it got to you so quickly...thanks for the nice comment and the heart!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! Happy 32nd Anniversary - bummer your hubby wasn't home to celebrate tonight! Sounds like a plan though when he will be with you! I really enjoyed your reading your share - it was fun having you as a partner! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Thanks Vicky - hope you have a great weekend as well!
Comment: Thank you for your pleasant letter, your card with the giraffe momma, pc--I didn't know it was national pc week---not yet I see and all to remind me of spring. I went to church on Easter, but not at 6:30. I have done that in Old San Juan several times.
Response: Many thanks! Hope you have a great weekend :)
Comment: Thanks a lot for your blog address and your story about your month. I'd be also happy to visit Las Vegas (although I have been there last summer), though I think I would do different things. I'm also happy to hear that your aunt bote cancer so many times! *.* The spring arrived to Europe as well, and actually I got sunburnt yesterday :D Take care, and have a nice April too :)
Response: Thanks for visiting the blog and your sweet comments. That's cool that you've been to Las Vegas too. It's definitely a unique place to visit! Happy Spring!
You went OVER THE TOP with the package you put together for me! It arrived in perfect condition and i am tickled pink!!! Thank you for the time, thought and love that you put into this!!
Response: So glad you liked what I picked out! I had fun hunting for everything and was surprised by how much I found! Enjoy!
Comment: Thank you so much...it was nice to hear about your weekend and awesome to see we have interest in the same shows...I am a little behind on Nashville so do not know exactly what happened as of yet:( I wish you the best with the plants for I am so not a plant person!! One of the ladies at work gave us all a little plant and mine is the only one that did not make it...hmmm...I have been sick for 8 days now so, I hope to get to enjoy this weekend and the weather!!
Response: Thanks for your sweet reply and heart! I hope we're partnered again on future swaps :) Hope you're feeling 100% better by the weekend!
Comment: Many thanks for photos of your nice Pica and Princess Leia. Lot of remarkable photos - it is healthy. Pica is pleasant to me more because of long ears and a sad look, but Leia good too. She has an interesting color and an amusing nose.
You can send me even more photo if you want. I will be very glad to receive them.
Response: Thanks so much for your sweet comments and for the heart!
Comment: Just got the Florida Wildlife card in today's mail :) Those are some neat birds pictured! Oh I am so ready for spring too! Our winter is never ending this year it seems. We keep waking up to -20F and snow doesn't seem to be melting at all. Thank you for the wonderful card and hopefully spring is right around the corner!
Response: Wow...-20 is toooo coooold for me! Yikes! I hope you warm up soon!
Comment: I love Leia and Pica! Leia reminds me of a dog that I dog sit for named Moby. They have very similar markings, although Leia is a little more spotted. They are super cuties, thanks for rescuing them :)
Comment: Thank you Ilyse for the sweet card and all the goodies you included in it! I love the assortment of envies, ncs, stickers and stamps! You made my day! Thanks for the beautiful personal message you wrote on the card as well. :)
Response: You're quite welcome - thanks for rating promptly and for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for sharing what you're reading. I like to read biographies. I need to find an interesting biography to read! I tend to enjoy biographies of missionaries or any person who make a difference. Thank you also for the stamps and craft papers to inspire me to make cards.
Response: Glad you got the card ok. And thanks for the heart :)
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card, this card made me happy too :) It reminded me of the local farmers markets in the Spring. I hope you had a good trip to New Jersey! I grew up in New York and I feel the same way, I can't handle the cold anymore after living to Florida.
Response: Glad you liked it too - I'm ready for the farmers markets to reopen here too!
Comment: Thank you for such a generous gift from my wish list! That was so thoughtful, thank you! I'll get all these FBs moving soon. I love John 15:12-13 and so appreciated you taking the time to write it out. Those verses hold a special place In my heart. Thank you! Until we meet again!

Response: Thanks Eve - you and your niece look like you're two peas in a pod! Thanks for sharing your photo too, and thank you for the heart!
Comment: Ilyse you have made us very happy. I say "us" because when I opened your box at my sister's house my 84 yrs mom was here. She was excited to see your card and the Valentine card game. Hope it is OK if my mom shares the Valentine card game with her senior church ladies at their next meeting. Thank you so much Ilyse for making me and my mom happy for Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day to you!
Response: That's awesome! I was hoping the card game wasn't too cheesy, but it sounds like it will be put to good use, and what could be better?? Thank you!
Comment: Thank you! Death Valley is a couple hours from us, and we usually go in February for a long hike. The road we usually take washed out a couple of years ago and hasn't been replaced with asphalt. It's pretty rough on our not very rugged vehicle, so we may end up not going this year. :(
Response: I hope that road gets repaired so you can go hiking up that way! Thanks for the heart :)
Comment: I am smiling ear to ear. What wonderful piece of happiness I received in my mailbox today. You really took the time to read my profile and send exactly what I LOVE. Brewing some tea as I am writing this. Have a wonderful 2017. Thank you so very much...you're a great partner.
Response: What a sweet comment! Thank you so much -- glad you liked all I sent. That's what makes this so much fun!
Comment: Hi Ilyse! The NC pc is really pretty - we have not had much white stuff but two ice storms so far - think I would rather have the white stuff - yikes! Now this week we are supposed to be in the 50's and rain - hmmmm! Looking forward to spring for sure! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: Glad you liked the card - it's cold and dreary now, but I'm heading to meetings in New Orleans, so it will be warmer there :)
Comment: Thank you Ilyse! I received the "killing 2 birds with one stone" package lol! So true what you wrote in your notecard but the hope for Mended Fences in 2017 might be a bit optimistic I fear :( And thanks for the beachy stickers, they brighten my day as I look out my window at the snow piling up fast!
Response: Glad you got the letter and liked everything :)
Comment: Hello to you again as well :) I think the opossum is adorable! It doesn't much feel like winter here in AZ. 70 degrees at the moment but there is a rain storm rolling in so there is a nice breeze.
Response: Oh I'm jealous of your 70 degrees! Glad you liked the postcard - Have a great Christmas!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely imported PC. It will make a great addition to my growing collection of cards. It makes me smile when I open my mailbox and have a little note. Thank your husband for his service from me. Also, thank you for your support.

Comment: Thanks for the great seal postcard! We have seals up here. They swim by our house all the time and haul on on Seal Island. I think they like to come and investigate what we are doing. The water is so clear, we can see down into it, from our sun porch and watch them swim under water. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: That's so cool! Alaska is on my Bucket List! Thanks for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for taking the time to send that sweet notecard along with your swap. It's been a difficult day in Carlisle Iowa and it was such a blessing to my heart to read your words. Thanks for taking that extra effort! ♥ Debbie

Comment: Thank u Ilyse for your postcard as it arrived today! The blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful Also too your 5 facts was interes in to read. I learned something about your area. I have heard of Chesterfield County there in Va. u are not too far from the D.C. Area. I've been to Richmond VA and by the way they have a great art collection at the art museum near the university! I was shocked upon going in and seeing the show and their collection in 2001! So I can imagine that most people thrive there and are happy. So blessings to u and everyone there! Thank u for sharing Your area and I put ur postcard up in my studio!
Response: I'm so happy you liked the card and the facts I picked out. I love living here 😀

Comment: Thanks for sharing! Why did you choose Phoenix as your vacation destination? In August?! Wasn't it hot, Hot, HOT? Happy belated birthday! And we have the same plates as are in your photo with the Brussel Sprouts! :-) Thanks again for sharing!
Response: I â¤ï¸ the heat! Summer is my favorite season and we had a blast in AZ!

Response: Thanks Melissa :) these are so much fun. Thanks for the heart too!
Comment: Great answers. Sounds like you and my son had the same job(s) in radio. He survived many reoranizations in his 25 years, but not the last one, so he s currently job-less. Where does a 50 year old radio "media guy" look for work! He's enjoying his "free" time off until his severance pay ends.
Response: Bless his heart! I totally get it... wonder if we ever crossed paths? Glad you liked my answers - thanks for the heart!
Comment: Great PostCard - love the background of the letters. I hope you had fun while in Chicago. It's been a pretty hot/humid summer, but the lake front can help in the city vs. where I live in the middle of a soybean field - lol. It's so fun to go postcard shopping wherever we go - isn't it ? :-) Take care, Annette
Response: So glad you liked the card I sent :) Thank you for the heart!
Comment: The card you chose is perfect. Thank you for reading my profile and sending a personal message. You added much cheer to my day. Wow! I had to take a second look at the address because I just sent to someone on Deer Chase Ct. in GA. Hard to believe two Deer addresses on same day.
Response: Oh deer! LOL, glad you liked the card and thank you so much for the heart!
Comment: Happy 60th! Glad to hear your work meeting was productive, it's the worst when everyone is cranky! I enjoyed reading your responses. Edit: I didn't notice the pictures of your new office! Love the color and it's so organized!
Response: Thank you very much! We're having a great time in Phoenix!
Comment: Thanks so much for sharing your day with me. I love your sense of humour and it's great to see I'm not the only one currently obsessed with catching Pokemon! Your house looks so beautiful and classic!
Response: You're so sweet - thanks for visiting, and thanks for the heart!

Comment: i felt that this postcard really was heartfelt about what she wrote about the city! So i felt that was beyond what was for the swap requirements. I enjoyed the little attention to detail she went by telling me about the city of Staunton. Her hand writing was very legible and i do appreciate that! So thank you Ilyse about helping me find out a little bit about the great country we live in!
