Comment: Thank you for the nice Streetcar Called Desire - I know it's a classic, but I have to admit I have never seen it - oh the shame! Hope you and your dogs are enjoying the warmth of the time of year. Take care!
Response: My dogs are enjoying the warmth, but the black flies are horrible!
Comment: Sounds like you had an eventful evening! (Happy Bday Bailey!) but the yard stuff totally seems tedious! I love doing yard stuff, but I always hate the spring cleanup side of things lol (oh! And thank you for the cool new addition to my pick collection! It’s super cool! 🙃❤️)
Comment: Loved your Happy Mail! Thank you so much - the note card is beautiful and I loved the flower photos, pansies and lilies are my favourite and the Grand Canyon looks amazing - it's on my bucket list how did you know? :):)
Comment: Thank you for all the great postcards. The first location of duck tours was Wisconsin Dells, WI. My husband's grandfather worked for them after he retired. All the operators of the tours share information about keeping the vehicles running and swap parts. We got a free ride there!
Comment: Oh, man! That's so annoying! I hope you didn't give them any money. A friend of mine recently had a similar experience where a relative she hadn't talked to in nearly 5 years called to ask for money to pay the cable bill.
Response: No, I didn’t give the girls the money. What’s worse is their Mom passed away April of 2016 and left each girl over $100,000 from her life insurances and they have blown through it!
Comment: Thank you Jannine for the the Linzer Cookie recipe postcard you sent to me for the swap. Brought tears to my eyes, memories of Christmases past, when I helped my Mom make, bake & then distribute seasonal gift bags of cookies. The Linzer Tarts were the most popular. Hope your springs comes soon.
Response: Isn’t it amazing how the littlest things can bring back amazing memories!
Comment: Thank you for the note and goodies! Journals haven't helped me when it comes to organization but the Happy Planner at Michael's has worked out amazingly well. I even bought a rubber stamp for checklists and incorporate it daily.
Response: YW. i’ll have to check out the happy planner.
Comment: Omigosh! I squealed out loud when I got the Gorjuss PC! I have never seen one. People have been sending me notepaper and little things with the girls on them but we don't have that stuff here. Only the little rubber stamps. Thanks very much for sharing the PC with me! ♥♥♥ I bought plants to plant today. Let the gardening begin!
Comment: Thank you for all the great cards. I love the old Ringling Brothers clown (you knew I would)! And though I don't usually care for touristy cards, the Durango/Silverton narrow gauge RR card struck a chord. Every time I visit my brother in Colorado I say I'm going to ride that train, but so far something has always come up to prevent it. I did take the cog railway to the top of Pike's Peak though!
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful card & goodies You sure did send me some "Happy Mail" & you really put a smile on my face. I was so excited to see the sugar skull stickers & the rabies tag...oh my gosh!!! The postcard, mini envelopes & washi tape were awesome too. This was a really great swap & I hope to have you as my partner again soon. Hope you'll forgive me for the overdue rating. Take care ♥
Response: YW and I’m glad you enjoyed the Happy Mail.
Comment: Wonderful...... I love it all..... the PC's I have never has a Disney PC and Brave is one of my all time favorites! Cat stickers - adorable and hysterical at the same time and the wash is so pretty.... I love the colors. Thank you so much for the wonderful happy mail
Comment: Thank you for really reading my profile and sending perfect postcards! What a unique Mickey card in the cranberry bog! And I can practically smell those gorgeous lilacs! Cute little stickers, flakes and mini card, too!
Response: I love that lilac card! Can’t wait for them to start blooming.
Comment: Hi Jannine! I "think" I want to move to FL when we retire but hearing from folks that either live there or have lived there always makes me wonder! What do you like more about Maine? I am not a cold weather person so thought moving south would work for me, so.... Love your pc! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Sounds like a good way to spend the day - with the tea out on the porch enjoying the warm day with the dogs :) I can't wait til it warms up a bit and can open the windows to freshen up the house after being closed up all winter. Must be coming soon though since the cats have started to beg to go out on the back porch again :) Thank you for the cute kitty card :)
Comment: Thanks for sharing!!! I'm glad you had a good experience at the DMV. Thankfully we don't have to worry about being shuffled around when we go to Vicroads (Our version of DMV) to do a few things. <3
Comment: Sounds like a good experience at the DMV. It makes a huge difference to have someone helping you who is pleasant!
Happy to hear how nice your birthday was and all the good wishes you got on it.
Comment: Received a postcard today, and I totally agree with you I am so ready for spring. I’m going in for knee replacement on Friday and I know it’s going to be slippery when I come out and I’m not looking forward to it. Bring on the tree buds.
Comment: Hi from O~hi~O
I just received the beautiful notecard, thanks so much. It's hard to believe it took that long it get here from Maine. That is snail mail 😮
Sounds like you've had some crazy weather. Love the frogs and of course listening to them. Thanks for the extras, the washi tape & postcard with the cute little girls are awesome.
Thanks again ~ take care, Judy
Comment: Hi Jannine - Thank you for the wonderful assortment of Postcards. I love all the beach themed ones and I am excited to add them to my collection. You are a sweetheart for sending me the Tarot Cards. I love them! Thank you for a very special swap. Take Care -Vanne
Comment: Thank you for the nice post card. I've never been to Florida and not sure it's a place I would visit. Too many people and too many creepy crawly things for my liking. But I have always wanted to visit Maine. Thanks again.
OMG YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO GUESS WHAT I GOT IN THE MAIL TODAY 😂😂😂. Mail stamp date is November 22, 2017 and today is February 21st, 2018 - 3 months to get her and I’ve received a few other swaps from you within 2 week span. Thank you very much for the Christmas card and PC inside and I also like quote inside 😀. Wonder how many others got their CC today 😂😂😂😂😂. Definitely stood up to the name ‘Snail Mail’ this round.
Got the PC today 😀, thank you very much. The country side looks beautiful. Hope it’s warming up for you, it’s -21 C here but supposed to start warming up tomorrow. We had such wonderful weather this winter that when it drops to the normal -20/-30’s C we become pansies and whine about how cold it is 🌬🌬. Here’s to looking forward to summer 🕶 and hoping for that beach body figure that’s never gonna happen for me 😂😂😂,
Comment: Thank you Jannine so very much for sharing your fathers poem with me it is wonderful. I am sorry to hear of his passing. You will have this special poem as a piece of him always. Also thank you for the washi I love it! I am addicted to collecting washi :) Blessings to you!! Michelle
Comment: Thank you for the pretty card and the extra washi's you sent! I look forward to using the diecuts and stickers you sent me on my future happy mailings and in my scrapbooks. I would love to get a Pooh tattoo...maybe not with all the characters like yours but who knows :)
Comment: Thank you for the card. All of our snow has melted for now as it has been around 60 for the highs the last few days. Today it is 34 with a winter mix - rain-snow. Last night there was thunder - hail and rain.
Comment: Thanks Janine for the pretty bird card. Your coloring is so neat. Mine... not so much!!
Hope you're staying warm. We had a snow & ice storm here yesterday. Not too common down south! 😊â„⛄
Comment: Hi Jannine! Thank you so much for the GREAT washi samples - I don't have any of these, and am thrilled to be able to use them in my crafting. The extras were lovely as well. :) Great swap, thank you again! (LOVE the coffee one!)
Comment: Thank you for your postcard and I feel sorry to hear that you had a lot of snow. I've been to Chicago once and even though it was in April, it snowed for a short time so I couldn't visit the observatory. Today, Korea has lots of snowing too and it's getting harder to get out of my bed every morning!
Comment: I almost had tears on my eyes reading about your happy moment. I'm dealing with depression myself and seeing your words of encouragement makes me feel like I have a chance at beating this too. Thank you♡
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful Christmas card. I enjoyed getting Christmas cards from all over the place this year and we use them to decorate our house with it was great. When our kids came home they were checking out to see all of them and where from, stories that may have been told, it was a lot of fun and interesting. Thank you for being a part of that.
Comment: Thanks so much for the gorgeous ATC. I do so love the theme you chose and the thoughtfulness you put into it. The little bits and pieces that were in the packet are also lovely. Thanks again for such a lovely letter.
Comment: Thank you for the sweet puppy Christmas card. I LOVE the vintage postcard and thank you for the very generous washi sample; it's such a cute collection. And the card looks fun, too! I can only see a bit, but it appears to be fun and Christmasy! Happy New Year!
Comment: Thank you for the cute card. I must tell you ... I open my cards with a letter opener and must have gotten it in too deep because I split the card right along the seam. Came out in 2 pieces. So just taped it back together. Thanks for the extras too. Really liked them all. Merry Christmas.
Comment: Such a wonderful package! My doggies are going to be so spoiled (not that they aren't already, but now so much more so. . .) I'm so sorry for the late rate. Hiding the gift from dogs who sniff out everything means that I ended up hiding it from myself. You are so awesome and if I could give more hearts, I so would!
Response: I am so glad your and your doggies like the stocking!
Comment: Oh. My. Goodness! I literally gasped out loud when I unwrapped the seed of happiness you sent to me! It is my very first that has been given to me, and it is just PERFECT! Absolutely everything you sent is so wonderful, and I really loved reading the article about Sue. What an amazing tattoo, and meaning. I know it must bring you much joy and pride. You truly touched my heart, and made what has been a really abysmal week end on a bright and happy note. Rhank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card. We have cardinals at our bird feeders every year. They are so pretty. Thanks for the post card too. I just plain love kittens. I have 4 kitties but would love a kitten too. Thanks again.
Comment: Jannine, I wish I could give you more than one heart. Thank you so much for sending me the Sequin Island Light lighthouse postcard. It was so thoughtful of you. For some reason I don't know why I have never been to that one, I have been to quite a few in Maine. Thank you for the Christmas card, Shirley
Comment: I just rediscovered your envelope in my purse-- I'm so sorry I failed to rate you! Thanks so much for the beautiful ATCs, and all of the great extras, especially the Washi tape samples and the postcard!
Comment: Oh my gosh, thank you so much for all the goodies. I was so excited to see the rabies tag. It is awesome & I already added it to my collection. The whale PC is great & the dog PC is so cute! Grayson was so excited to see his surprise. You put a big smile on his face. Thanks for making this such a special swap :) P.S He loved the joke too :)
Response: I am so happy I put a smile on Grayson’s face!
Comment: What a cool jelly belly card :) My fav flavor is the juicy pear :) Wow seems like we are having close to the same temps! We are supposed to be around 20's to even 30F above! which is way out of the normal for us. We are usually sitting around -45 about now :) not complaining though, this is a nice winter ;) Thank you for the great card! :)
Comment: Oh wow! 30 magazines prescriptions. Your mailbox must always be busy lol
Coconut cream donuts sound sooo good. I love Crispy Creme's. Those suckers just melt in your mouth.
I'll be saying a prayer for your dad <3
BBQ nachos? I would love to know how to load my pulled pork with flavor for some nachos :)
You definitely beat me in owning more washi tape. I currently have 203+so many samples off of Etsy. My favorites are Harry Potter & Disney!
I can't even think of Christmas shopping right now lol so many people to think about.
I bet you husband will be stoked about the Go pro. I been wanting one :)
Comment: Hi Jannine! Thanks for the share about your weekend, how nice to that your hubby helped with your craft room!! Lucky you! Feeling jealous over here!! Thanks for the extra goodies as well - love them! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I love marina scenes, I grew up going to our river house off the rappahannock river in southern Virginia most of my summer weekends and then some and we had a marina there. Rapphsnnock river oysters now bought it but I remember the penny candy we could buy there along with bait, etc.
Comment: Thank you for the MOOSE post card. I love animals and moose are so cool. I've always thought I would like to visit Maine. Everything I see about it looks like I would love it there. Lots of trees and Nature. Thanks again.
Comment: Thank you for sharing your playlist with me. Love Thunder too :) such a good and catchy song. Also love love Feel it Still too :) I think we have similar taste in music so I really enjoyed your playlist.
Comment: Coming by to edit my generic Halloween comment & say thank you for the awesome swap. I just got the chance to really go through it all & I love the whale & dolphin PC's. The foam sugar skull stickers are sweet too! The pumpkin bag you sent is so cute! You really stuffed the envie!! I even love the shark stamp on the envie. You put so much thought into this swap & I want you to know that I appreciate it.
Comment: I was just telling a co-worker that somehow, I managed to escape academia without ever taking Chemistry. I wish I knew more about the periodic table - great stuff for games like Trivia Crack! LOL!
Comment: Oh my gosh, I wish I could give you 10 hearts!! This mail was packed full of lovely things. Such a pleasure to open. Thank you! I loved everything so, so, so, so, so much. Especially the little kitty in the mug, so cute! :-D
Comment: I have no idea why it took so long to arrive, but I just received your PC (postmarked 10-20!!!) today! Thank you so much for the amazing postcard...you chose incredibly well! I'll cherish the Victory Chimes PC!
Comment: I love science that leaves me wondering and asking more questions. It's one of the beautiful things about science; we're always learning more, always have questions, and sometimes we find the answers we weren't looking for.
Comment: Thank you for this incredible postcard of a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Jannine! We have this type of snake in Tucson, where I live, too, but I've never seen an image of it like this! Wow! ⤠Thank you sooo much for sharing this with me!!! :-)
Comment: Thank you for the swap and the extras! One side of tthe envie was open so I am notvsure if something had fallen out. There were some Halloween stickers and a mini notecard enclosed, they are cute, thank you!
Comment: Thanks for the great lighthouse postcards. They were all new to me and will add greatly to my collection. Thanks for the note - how nice that you were able to stay many days on the Pemaquid Point Lighthiose. Happy swapping, Linda
Comment: Thank you for all the goodies! It's so fun to read your day! it's cool that you feed frogs in the morning! I used to have pet frogs for a short while, but they quickly died. So now I only have fish in my fish tank. Also, I think your pink flower swapbot little card looks pretty!
Comment: Janine, thank you so much for the Nubble Light postcard. I have several of them, each one is different. Today it is supposed to be in the mid 70"s. This is are usual weather for fall. We had rain Sunday which the rain gauges said we had over 3 1/2 inches of rain. Shirley
Comment: Hi Jannine! What a fun pc - I love the doghouse for the letter D! My hubby built our fur babies a doghouse back in the day and they totally ignored it, other than jumping on top! LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I’m glad you like the pc. We bought our dogs a nice dog house for the front yard as two of them love to sit under the table or island, but all they did was sit on top of the doghouse!
Comment: Thanks for the cute card! It definitely made me chuckle and my husband got a kick out of it too. I'd agree it's not really funny so much as cheeky, and the lady cleaning the lighthouse reminds me of someone I've actually known before.
Comment: I almost got a job with the USPS once, but the job they were hiring for wouldn't work with my school schedule :( Does the plate in your skull make flying more difficult? Thank you for the card!
Response: No the plate doesn’t bother flying. if i get pulled aside I tell them I have a plate in my skull, screws and pins in my left ankle, staples in the bone of the big toe, and screws in the right elbow. They look at me funny, wave the wand over me and let me go.
Comment: Thank you for the adorable trio of ducks, charming basset hound puppy, cool Pumpkinfest postmark (I love, love commemorative postmarks :), and for sharing a snippet of Maine fall with me ♥ Today is finally a little cooler than usual, so I am embracing and savoring it!
Comment: I would love for the witnessing of a lung transplant to be the truth, but it seems as the dart frog tattoo is more likely.
Response: I have lots of tattoos, but no dart frog! When I was in nursing school, I got chosen to witness a lung transplant. It was incredible! I still have the memories of that day. My scheduled surgery for that day was canceled and they were scrambling to find me another one. The charge nurse said there is a transplant happening and the doctor is really good with teaching people. He let me come in and explained everything. I got to see the beating heart inside the cavity. It is still awesome to this day!
Comment: I LOVE the note card! It's so cute, I can't stop looking at it and cooing. I think my dogs are jealous that I like the dog on the card more than them. . . :-) I'm jealous that you have leaves to play in. Our autumns are rainy, so our leaves are soggy and never crunch when you walk on them.
Comment: Thank you for sharing your story I am going to send you a message rather than writing you back by snail mail because online is much faster. Thank you for joining my swap and sharing your story with me.
Response: Thank you for your message. I look forward to responding tomorrow.
Comment: Thanks for the card. I also used to keep exotic frogs as pets. It was really bit then I learned about conservation of native species and did not accumulate more. My last one died 10 years ago and now miss them. :(
Comment: Thank you for sharing the gorgeous autumnal weather with me! The delightful My Fair Lady card was especially apropos because the principal casting for Lincoln Center Theatre's upcoming revival was recently announced; I was hoping that Colin Firth would actually come to Broadway as Prof. Henry Higgins, as was buzzed about in the past, but I would be willing to see this production anyway.
Comment: hello from the other corner of our country ...
i am delighted with the mapcard of your state with all the juicy facts & pink pawprints!
let's enjoy this wonderful time of year with lots more swaps!
Comment: Thank you for the postcard. It's a little bittersweet since my favorite vacation destination is Rockport, Texas and they were devastated by Hurricane Harvey. But it certainly looks like your Rockport is beautiful too!
Comment: Got this in today's mail, thank you! I have those same "art of instruction" postcards -- some of them are so weird huh? I still haven't decided to send the housework one too XD. Part of my address got ripped off in the mail so I'm happy this postcard still found me!
Comment: Thank you so much for your note and the picture of the beautiful Iris' you have grown. I love Hydrangeas also. The first gift I ever bought my mom was a hydrangea plant when I was about 8 or 9. We had a florist right down from our house and I asked her how much it was. I don't think she ever gave me an answer. I took her my allowance each week for about 3 weeks before mothers day. She probably gave me that plant for 3-4 dollars. Mama planted it in the back yard and when we moved from there it was taller than me. I'd love to see yours.
Comment: I felt like I was unwrapping a whole forest in that box! I have never seen anything like that brillo pad lichen (I assume it's lichen?) Thank you very much - and for the holiday cookbook as well! :-)
Response: Yes, that was lichen. I had a lot of fun doing that box! Enjoy.
Comment: I've received two from you for this swap. For future reference, unless the swap says otherwise you typically only need to send one card. Thank you for the three cards though; I truly adore them.
