Comment: Thanks for the lovely post card showing the Macaws. They are so bright and cheerful. We do have some colourful birds but they tend to be quite small, eg chaffinch, blue tits green finches. Best wishes
Comment: What a thoughtful and creative package! You really took your time and read my profile. Such a beautiful envie full of the coolest stuff ever! Thank you doesn't seem to be enough....a million hearts!
Comment: WOW! Thank you so very much for this gorgeous heart dish. I love ceramics and have several pieces in my art room and my new piece looks fabulous here. Thank you again for such a great swap. Hugs, Mona
Response: So glad you like it! Also glad it didn't break! Have a great February!
Comment: I can't believe you've actually found a postcard with Queen Victoria on it! So fitting for this swap! :) Nice to see you've chosen a book written by Charles Dickens... Oliver twist is indeed a 'golden oldie'. And you're right about everything, also the antisemitism. Thank you again for a wonderful card - this is one I will certainly keep! :D
Comment: Thank you very much for the great Grand Cayman diving postcard! I have been there and actually seen a Grouper fish bigger than that when out snorkeling. Thank you for taking the time to send such a great card and cute stickers on it also!
Comment: Thank you so much! I loved the map and the information about the type of sand! I have little glass bottles I'm putting all my sands in and this will add a lovely variety to my small (but growing!) collection!
Comment: Karen - the clam shell made it intact! Thank you for the coquina sand! I really love it, and have a perfect jar for it. And the map - what a great idea! I wish I would have included a map with the sample I sent out. So again - thank you! Awesome sample and interesting background info!
Comment: Hi Karen! #2 arrived some time ago. I was waiting around for #1 to show up. It will arrive eventually! Thanks for the Dahl card (from Dirty Beasts). I haven't read that one either, but I love those cards! Oops! It was mixed in with some older mail. Thanks for the Wimpy Kid postcard! This is one of my son's favorite series. He's read every one and waits patiently for the next one to drop.
Comment: Sorry for the delay in rating this. The postman was having a bad day and delivered it to my neighbour's house. They only got back from their pre Christmas holiday today and have just brought it round.
Flagler Beach Pier looks like it might be good to fish off (when the tides in).
Comment: Thanks for your "report" and the information on the Museum.
How did the tour walk go?
I was looking online at Museum Newsletters and a wonderful article caught my eye. It was _Turtle_Summer_. Very nicely done.
Response: The walk was an amazing success with about 100 people attending! The whole event went very, very well. Thanks for the compliment on Turtle Summer. I had a great time with that.
Comment: Thank you for the nice envelope. I'll be happy to open it in December. Edit 12/18/2018: It was a great pleasure to receive your lovely holiday greetings. The card is adorable. Happy holidays to you, too!
Comment: Received your card, they both arrived on the same day! Will let you know more when I open them next month :)
edit: Never seen a fairy xmas card before, it's really pretty and thank you for the paper snowflake, I will hang it on a window!
Comment: Received the resend! What a beautiful place to live and work! I'm jealous, I work in an old hospital in the middle of a downtrodden neighborhood! Thank goodness it's dark when I drive to work so I don't have to see it! Thank you! ❤❤❤
Comment: Love the Manatee PC and the interesting facts about it! We've cooled down some here finally, at least temporarily due to rain. But then you guys have had more than your fair share lately too. Hope y'all survived the 2nd hurricane! Thank you!
Comment: Thanks for sharing from your collection with me! My dad is a postcard collector. When he gets big boxes of them, he gives me all the extras. I just love looking through them and sharing them with others!
Comment: Love the quote - it's really perfect for me too, as I have always believed that "I'm not artsy" but my son has encouraged me anyway. He's a graphic designer ... I wish I had his talent! And thanks for the resend, even though PO finally delivered the card today!
Comment: Thank you for this interesting town on your postcard! I had to look it up; I had never heard of it before. Here's what I found out: Quedlinburg is the birthplace of the German Nation.
King Heinrich I was crowned King of Germany here in 919 A.D. The church, Norbertinerkirche, was built around this time. This town was ruled by women for 800 years. King Heinrich I's widow, Mathilde, founded a convent for aristocratic women in 936 and their granddaughter became the ruler of the town as the Abbess in 966. The Abbesses of the convent ruled the city until 1802, when Napoleon invaded and disbanded the Abbey.
Comment: hey karen! thank you so much for all the cute stuff you sent me! i especially love the flying dutchmen book PC! that’s sort of the motto for the college i am attending in the fall - so i plan to hang it in my dorm room!! thanks again
Comment: Thank you, Karen. How great it must be to live in Florida and visit Universal Studios. I would love to see Seuss Landing. Dr. Seuss is not very famous in The Netherlands, but I like the books a lot.
Comment: Thanks for your letter. I enjoyed reading it, especially the part about the sea turtles. I do hope I can see them and the hatching of babies with my own eyes one day.
Have a great summer and enjoy your time with your friends.
Comment: Great historic building - there is a stone museum here in town that is fairly unassuming as well...aside from the structure being made of beatiful stone. The historical society has quite a collection of things inside.
You enjoy your summer too ;-)
Take care, Annette
Comment: I recieved your letter today! Thank you! I will work on a reply this week and get it out before the weekend. The Delray Beach Historical Society (over 3 hours away from you) is hosting a "snail mail" camp for kids this summer. Random thought in my head that seemed important to share with you, but I need to get more coffee to complete that thought.
Comment: I love vintage and this is a great little PC. I actually drove through Wheeling, WV once on my way from Texas to Canonsburg PA, but it was at night, in a blizzard, so didn't get to see anything. Now I know what I missed. Thank you!
Comment: Sorry I didn't get this rated sooner. The card was hiding from me in the center console of my car. I reached in yesterday to remove some stamps I had bought and placed in there until I got home and it came with them. Don't know why I didn't find it sooner as I had looked in there many times over the last few weeks.
Comment: I loved the quote and decor on your envie and your letter! I hope to visit Florida soon, your beach there sounds more interesting than ours in the Bay Area (the water is always ice cold, no one swims in it lol)
Comment: Thank you for all the fun goodies. The playing card reminds me of a game we used to play at my grandparents as a child. The Vespa PC is awesome and of course the beautiful dragonfly enve! Thank you so much!
Comment: So freaking awesome!! Thank you so much! I loved the Barnum and Bailey stamp and the Chien-Shiung Wu pc is PERFECT for the 'Ladies of Science' junk journal I'm working on! You're awesome and thank you again!
Comment: Thank you for the very pretty and colorful spring door hanger! I opened it so I could enjoy it during the spring season. I love the robin! =) Thank you for participating in this swap and Happy Spring!
Comment: Thanks for the great bookcover postcard of Stargate. I don't think this book has ever been made into a movie, I've looked them both up and the description of the book and the movie where totally different stories. I haven't read the book eather, and I maybe have seen that movie long time ago. There is a tv serie made based on the storie in the movie (Stargate S1) that I've certainly seen.
Response: I have a video ( VHS no less ) of Stargate with Kurt Russell and James Spader. I thought this was based on that book. Maybe not. I did know about the TV series and that that was based on the movie. Thanks for bringing up an interesting point!
Comment: Thanks for the sweet camping card, Karen. I think it wins the prize as the smallest postcard I've ever received! I just got back from a week in the Keys - my favorite destination in Florida. Now havng trouble getting back into the swing of things...
Comment: OH MY GOODNESS.........what a wonderful “Crappy Grab Bag!” Thank you so much Karen for everything. Roses are my favorite flower, it looks wonderful on the bag. I love all the cool treasures from bling to beautiful ribbon and trim, love the game pieces. I felt like a kid opening up a bunch of toys for Christmas. This was so much fun an you did an amazing job sending thing I would enjoy. I want to thank you as well for the awesome vintage papers and post cards, I can’t wait to use those on a vintage project. The Halloween cards are so adorable. Thank you Karen for a wonderful swap.👍🆒💕😀👏
Comment: It took me a bit to find to rate you as you marked the PC Quick Turn Around PC #2 but it was actually Quick Turnaround PC #3 🙂... glad I found so that I can give you your rating! Thank You for the PC Karen! 💕
Comment: Hi Karen, thank you for the Le Lion PC, I like it. I have this box set so it's nice to get them back in the mail :) I love the total solar eclipse postage stamp! Happy Spring swapping. peace love light
Comment: I certainly wouldn't want to run into a rhino anywhere! Except the zoo. They are advertising for the Shrine Circus here now. I hate seeing the elephants on the commercials. They need to be free, not there. Nothing I can do about it, I guess. Happy swapping.....
Comment: Thank, Karen. It is springtime here in NC too, and we are also trying to get as much yard work done as we can before the heat hits us. Unfortunately, we are not as young as we used to be. :) I can only do an hour or two each day.
Comment: Really liking these women of science PC's. I was gifted several and have shared them with this series of swaps.I had not scene the one you sent about Lisa Meitner. It will be added to the ring of growing science PC's. Thank you.
Comment: Thank you for the great card. Robert Heinlein is one of my favorite authors. Every book of his I have read has been more than once. My favorites are the future history series and "Stranger in a Strange Land." And I have read many of his young adult books.
Comment: Your job sounds awesome! It must be nice living near the beach. I love painting pottery, do you make it as well? Do you have a kiln? Do you have a pic of the washed up whale bone? Thanks for the letter!
Comment: Thanks for the tags! I think about how materialistic we are in America all of the time. The main reason I joined swap-bot was to destash. I still feel like I have so much. I try to be conscious of no longer buying things I probably will never use. Good luck!
Comment: It is a nice crisp 30’s to teens in my neck of the woods, think you can send up some of your 60ish weather? The card is cool, tho k I will check it out. Classic sci fi books/movies are very interesting.
Comment: Hi Karen! I love getting pcs with books on them - what a fun swap! It is going to get really cold maybe with ice tonight - BRRR and BLAH! On the upside I can work from home tomorrow if needed, on the downside I am tired of winter!! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I really enjoyed your letter. I have some pretty good long time pen pals and sometimes talk about them. There's been times when my family will ask about them, so, they're more than just pen pals, they're real friends. I watched a documentary on how beaches change after a storm, so interesting. I have a fascination with light houses, thank you for the post card and your envelope is creative and fun.
Comment: Karen, thanks so much for your journal. I enjoyed reading all of your entries. And thanks for send me yours. I will get Taledo's out for round #9 and send yours off to another swapper I trust so we can get yours back into circulation and thanks sooooooo much for the post cards Especially Jiminy!!!
Comment: I love the train! Palestine is known as a railroad town. We have Union Pacific here as well as the Texas State Railroad where there are steam engines and more modern trains too. I love the sound of the train whistle! Thanks for bringing a smile to my day!
Comment: This was a great Florida PC you sent - it showed so much of the key things about Florida. I hope you didn't get hit too hard from Hurricane Irma - gads the hurricanes this year have just done so much damage and then the wildfires in California --- so much damage but hopefully recovery will continue and better things will come. Take care and thanks again for the great Florida PC ~~
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful postcard! So sorry you folks have been having all thos big storms. We are having them too, but that is normal for this time of year, Better safe than sorry. Love the feather stickers! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: It's very interesting to read through someone's month! Making pottery sounds so interesting...I love beautiful pottery! I really love your essay because it catches the summer feeling so well. It's great you went to see the eclipse, to feel like a summer child again! Very inspiring...I'm going to work on being more like a child this autumn, enjoy the world!
Response: Glad you liked it and I do hope you succeed in being an autumn child!
Comment: Thank you for your super pretty postcard and wow, Halloween stamps? How cool! I wish we celebrated Halloween like you do in the US. It stil isn't a very common fest here in The Netherlands, although it is getting bigger every year ;) Happy swapping!
Comment: I love the card, it reminds of Dementors in Harry Potter! Greetings from Finland, I've actually been to Florida when I was 11. I got to visit Universal Studios, one of my best childhood memories :)
Comment: Hi Karen! Your pc arrived today and thank GOD we are having great weather. A little hot but at nut a hurricane breathing down our back here. It was a lovely photograph and near you too! Loved the black and white spirals that encircle the lighthouse tower. Wow! Have not seen that before! Thank your for sending me such a lovely card! Have a wonderful summer!
Comment: Thanks Karen, your eclipse swap arrived at a perfect time as I'm leaving tomorrow morning to drive to Cashiers, N.C. where I'll be in the "Path of Totality" (I love that phrase) on Monday. A friend lives there in the mountains & I spend a week there most summers. This year I timed my trip to coincide with the eclipse. I'm excited, even though a cloudy sky could spoil things. Thanks for the article. Love your sun/moon stamped image & the heavenly washi :))
Comment: Thank you for the great Heinlein card. He was one of my favorite authors. I have read many of his books over and over. I am not going anywhere for the eclipse. We are only about 25 miles south of Totality so we will get 99% so I am just going to see it from home.
Comment: I actually worked at an amusement park for 6 months so I understand the feeling of avoiding amusement parks. I will confess that I do love them but after working at one it took a long time before I could want to go to one again! Great card and many thanks!
Comment: Thank you for the card! It's really cool to see what's happening in other cities. I also love grabbing ad cards to make postcards with. I really like the bear sticker as well. What a beautiful design!
Comment: Loved hearing about your life and the movie you watched! I don't typically watch foreign films all that much, and I see and agree with what you're saying about them. As someone who loves world culture I really should take the opportunity to see more films that give the viewer a different view and look into places around the world like a lot of foreign films do. I loved the goodies so much! I totally geeked out over the science ones in what looked like French.
Comment: Thanks so much for all the souvenirs of the lighthouse. This package was definitely not crappy! I love lighthouses and this one is very interesting. I don't think I could ever climb up all those stairs to the top even with hiking shoes on!
Comment: Thank you for the Hamburg postcard! I know what you mean about wishing summer felt as nice as what the postcard looks like. It's been hot here too with 100 degree heatwaves. Yuck! Thanks again for the card and try to stay cool this summer!
Comment: I love the book and the leaves, thank you! How did you preserve the leaves? They look amazing! I think it's very cool that the base book you used is in Russian too.
Response: Glad that you like the book and thanks for the kind words! The leaves were pressed in a regular plant press and they are glued in with a product called Royal Coat, a great decoupage finish. Have a nice day!
Comment: Thank you for the great Ray Bradbury card! "The Day It Rained Forever" would have been a fitting description for last week; the torrential rain and gloomy skies kept my kitty sleeping inside most of the time, and I felt listless as well. Thank you also for the great vintage-style hand and butterfly stickers!
Comment: Thank you for your letter! I confess that I did not finish the book as I found it a hard read (I don't normally read these types of stories!) I was curious about King Richard after what you wrote but alas, it is time to return my copy!
Comment: Hey Karen, I've been busy absorbing your journal. It's fascinating! Thank you! Sure made me yearn for a glimpse of an ocean view. Have always been a fan of poetry and quotes and I really appreciate how you wove them in. You sparked my interest in maybe keeping a poetry journal. I loved the texture you created, it helped to bring the pages to life. Thank you for sharing your life so generously, it sounds fulfilling, rich with intensity and purpose. It's funny how all that can be represented in a little journal.....Wow, it's a powerful expression of a life well lived.
Response: So glad that you like it and your kind comments made my day!
Comment: Thanks so much for the Alice postcard, she was worth the wait for sure. Thanks for the resend. Just think about the travels of this one postcard:) Best wishes! Groetjes Barbara
PS Love the stamps too!
Response: I do think about the travels of postcards! Glad you got it!
Comment: Can you see me dancing from there?! Thank you for the two wonderful postcards. I have the MacMillan Alice collection and am always happy to receive those. That way I don't have to be stingy about sending them out! LOL!I love Beckett-Griffith image as well. I hadn't seen that one before! Thanks so much for making me and my mailbox happy today!
Comment: WOW! What a deeply involved swap!! It is good to hear that your beaches are recovering from hurricane damage...
This is truly a wonderful swap...it reminds me of when I was a kid and I had books that had extra little pieces of ephemera to bring more reality and life to the words given.
Response: So glad that you like the swap! I really appreciate the positive comment. :)
Comment: Pretty little card. Your note was so wonderfully descriptive it was almost like I was on the walk with you! I want to wade on the beach again - will be doing that in October. Thanks for the swap!
Comment: Hi Karen...thank you for the traditional fairytale card you sent. Reminded me of a book I love "The book of Lost Things," by John Connolly... check it out if you like books...it's one of my favourites!
Comment: Seems as if we are penpals:) Well, I wish we had summer all year:) I'm tired of the cold weather and all day grey sky. Sometimes the SUN comes up, but just for a short period. But we are not far from Spring;)) Thank you for the letter.
Comment: Hi, Karen, thanks for the lovely note. I have been to the beach in different months and noticed the differences there at different times of year. You are lucky to get to go there as often as you do.
Comment: I agree that the background really does bring out the beautiful colors. I especially like how the watermelon looks. . . like someone took some bites out of it. I always liked still life paintings and this one is especially pretty. Thank you so much for sharing this PC with me ~
Comment: Thank you for your letter! I just got 'The Goldfinch' in the mail from a swap group and I'm excited to read it soon. Have you tried listing garage sale items online on Facebook? I've had a lot of success selling various lots of things on a few local invite-only groups.
Comment: Karen - thanks for your letter and your thoughts! And just like you, I also like the possibility to just send a letter out there without any of the obligations (as fun as they are!) of a penpal relationship :)
I hope you have good days at the museum ahead of you! Your job sure does sound fun!
Comment: The fox postcard is so adorable; thank you! If you get me as a partner again, could you please write horizontally on the postcard instead of vertically? The post office makes me pay .21 if it is on there horizontally. Thank you!
Response: Well that's a surprise! I get stuff like that and never had a problem. I owe you 21 cents and I'll send it off tomorrow. Glad that you like the card though.
Comment: Luckily the weather has been nice here so far this winter. During that storm that hit in the VA area my mother got 12 inches of snow and we only had about 1 on the ground, not even the roads. So I've hung my snowflakes in the kitchen and I'm hoping that it will be the only snow we get this year. :) Thanks again!
Comment: Thank you Karen, my Florida neighbor, for the so cute Christmas card showing a happy owl wearing a Santa hat. And thank you for the extras, Sparrows PC and Peacock note card. Happy Holidays and Happy December!
Comment: Thank you for the whimsical, colorful card, adorable stickers and washi (where, if I may ask, did you find that amazing cats-in-glasses tape?! I love it so much :D) and lovely Whitman quote, Karen :)
Comment: I have the Rifle North Pole postcard set also! Love their designs! I just ordered a set that was on clearance and one other set as well. I also snagged the 2016 Alice in Wonderland calendar for $10. I'm going to use the illustrations for something. Not sure what exactly 😂.
Comment: I was crazy when I got the 3 postcards of the Gator, it's the most original thing I've ever received ... the last one I got is Halloween (here in Chile it's also celebrated since a few years) ... I know there's still 1 to go, but I am so happy and grateful that I give you my heart immediately ... thank you very much...
Comment: Hello Karen,
Thank you for a nice packet of items that you sent for this swap. You sent, note paper, postcards--movies, and notecard, that I see myself using in the very near future.
Comment: Ah yes, the piers on the east coast of FL. I lived in FL. for almost 30 years. Too many hurricanes to mention. Ugh.we got a lot of damage off the NC coast. But I'm up high and dry.
Anyway, Thanks for a very nice bunch of goodies. Nice swap.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard of the Castillo de San Marcos, Karen! I'm glad to hear that it survived the recent hurricane. I guess it's survived a LOT of hurricanes, being as old as it is! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you so much for the awesome Halloween postcard! I actually had this same one in a book I bought and was really wanting one for myself, but I don't like to keep pcs unless they are sent to me. So you helped me out a lot. :D The washi and other decorations were also adorable. Thanks so much! Have a great Halloween!
Comment: Thank you so much for the Alice postcard. You're right i love seeing all the different art work associated with this book. I find everyone's interpretations so interesting to see. Lots of love x
Comment: Thanks for the cool glow in the dark card! I'm glad you explained it. I immediately held it up to the window and then shut myself in the laundry to take a look, it's a neat idea for a card, definitely a break from the norm.
Comment: Thank you for the neat postcard of The Hobbit's Puffin cover! I feel like I just read The Hobbit, but it was probably two months ago. And yes, we still have our air conditioning on here, too. Today it was *only* 87°F but our AC comes on if it gets above 80° sooo. . . ;-) Thanks again for sharing!
Comment: Karen!!! You are so interesting ! I really enjoyed your letter and will be sending your reply out tomorrow. Also, I loved how you sent a few articles from your local paper. That was very very cool. Thanks for the postcard also :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the beautiful botanical Postcard! I love it and the pineapple stickers too! When we went to Hawaii, I guarded some nesting sea turtles. I can't believe that people would not leave them alone. They are neither toys nor entertainment! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you for the wonderful reminder of Euripedes' quote, the adorable polar bear sticker (reminds me of one of my first toys as a child, who I called "Paula" Bear), rubber stamped image, and really cool shell identification card!! Happy first day of September (insert Earth, Wind, and Fire song :)!
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard of old books, Karen! My summer reading has been cut back some due to my having joined Swap-Bot in May, but it's a fun distraction, so I don't mind too much! Thank you for sharing! :-)
Comment: Thank you, Karen, for the postcard from the cover of "Charlotte's Web," one of my favorite books for kids 5 and up. I've been trying to get a chance to start reading it to our two kiddos when we get them after school one day a week. But there never seems to be enough time to fit it in. I am so glad these swaps are back! Have a good week!
Comment: Hello Karen,
Thank you for your wonderful letter you wrote for me. I so enjoyed reading it and got to know you a little bit. Thank you for the wonderful and well-thought out items you sent me for this swap. I will use the cards for writing notes for swaps. Postcards will go into my postcard collection. The washi tape is beautiful and I have none of them. Stickers will go with my other stickers and will get used. ATC went into my atc notebook. I enjoyed swapping with you.
Response: I'm glad you liked it all! Thanks for the very nice comment and heart!
Comment: Thank you for the striking Dalà card, colorful washi, charming cardinal, and great Verne quote -- I think of Anthony Doerr's exquisite, heartbreaking All the Light We Cannot See, one of my favorites <3 Happy Sunday!
Comment: Thanks for a very pretty postcard---that cup of tea looks delicious. Here though, as you say it is in Florida, the weather would call for a TALL glass of icy cold tea! Take care--hope you are doing well!
Comment: I love, love, love the ceramic pieces you sent! That pot has one of my favorite glazes on it ~ one that I have trouble making work right in Cone 10 firings. I knew you had to be a ceramic artist when I saw the box ~ I used to buy clay from Laguna when I lived in California. Now I get it from Seattle Pottery Supply. Hope you have lots of fun with clay in your life!
Response: I'm so glad that you like what I sent. I was pretty sure the box would be a giveaway. :) Have lots of happy clay days yourself!
Comment: Thanks, Karen--I haven't read this but know that my daughter read it again and again from 4th grade into last years of junior high (middle school here in Texas). I think she still has her battered paperback copy of the book. I DO enjoy these postcard swaps!
Comment: Thank you for what is one of my favorite Jetoy Choo Choo images, the adorable grey tabby kitten (not unlike my Grisy before he disappeared!), and message -- happy writing in air-conditioned comfort :) I look forward to fall weather but am not in a hurry for the year to end just yet ;)
Comment: Oh my gouda! Such fun! "I'm surprised at how this project didn't put much of a dent in my stash" I can't decide if that's hilarious or depressing considering I still want to believe it will put a dent in MY stash...
Response: So glad you like it! As far as the minimal dent in the stash goes - more hilarious than depressing I think. Hope you can make a decent dent in yours!
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely stick! I keep all of my sticks in a vase in my office, and I can't wait to add this cutie to the collection!!
P.S. The tiny purple stick on the end made it completely intact!! It's my favorite part!
Response: The tiny purple stick was my favorite part too. Glad it made it and glad you like it. Thanks for the heart and lovely comment. Happy rest of the summer!
Comment: What a cute notecard thank you. Yes, I agree, theirs something about opening up your mailbox to letters, post cards, or a nice hello from friends. I am happy theirs still people out there like us. Call me old fashioned, but, its so much more personal to write a letter, you get a better feeling of the person your corresponding with. Have a great summer.
Comment: I have a new destination on my bucket list!! Been to Florida many, many times and never made it to Amelia Island--really enjoyed the travel guide, pc, magnet and shark teeth!! Thank you for an amazing swap.
Comment: Hi Karen,
The post office really tore this one up- I wouldn't have even had a clue who it was from if it wasn't for your return address label. Thanks for the PC! Hope your having a great weekend.
Response: That's awful! I guess in this case PC stands for Piece of a Card. Another one on the way.
Comment: Hi Karen! Hope that the graduation you attended was awesome! Its that time of the year again! My how it seems now that years fly by! Maybe it is the perception of time changes as one ages? Thanks for sending me a postcard of Kandinsky! I knew his work as i turned the postcard over! Thank you so much!
Comment: Thanks for the nice card. The search for freecards is part of the fun. I'm always happy too when I find one! But I'm affraid I would be kind of bored if I stay on this beach longer than 1 day :-) The idea of spending my vacation here made me smile!
Comment: This was a great card to receive, I love Waterloo Village! I haven't been there in awhile BUT with your card we are planning a trip soon! Thanks for bringing back fond memories and a spark to make more! xoxo
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard. I'm addicted to everything Alice, especially to Alice inspired art. me and my friend are planning a group exhibition dedicated to contemporary Alice interpretation this fall. (Sorry for the late rating)
Response: Also addicted to Alice and all the art she's inspired. Your exhibition plans sound perfect! Glad you like the card!
Comment: Thank you so much for the terrific Fishes print! The octo stamp is awesome as well as the vintage postage. Hot enough in your area yet? I don't know if I'll ever acclimate to FL heat again. =)
Comment: I love this postcard, Karen. It's perfect for me I love small children and children's literature and the art work in such books. This looks as if it could have been a child's book illustration. We have escaped the Houston floods---oddly enough as we are quite close to Galveston Bay and only 25 miles from the Gulf itself. Instead all of the high water has been in the northern parts of the city and beyond except for an area fairly close in but still west of us considerably. Sadly, they had similar flooding for the first time ever last Memorial Day.---twice in less than a year? I'd be moving as fast as possible! Take care and thanks for a card so perfect for me!
Response: Hi Peggy! Glad that you like the card and even more glad that you escaped the floods! Take care!
Comment: Thank you for the darling chestnut-backed chickadee (I love how it distinguishes between "worn" and "fresh") card, charming rubber stamped images, and vintage stamps! (The bird boxed set is on my Amazon wish list :) They remind me of the cheerily chirping birds outside my window :)
Comment: Thanks so much for the nice postcard! Wow you are lucky girl to have the beach right there, I would be there everyday if I could lol. These is nothing like the beach to relax and clear your mind. Thanks again....big hugs, Tammy
Comment: Dear Karen!! Got it this time hehe. Thank you so much for resending and for the loveliest postcard! The stamps are so beautiful btw, thank you so much!! It was so worth the wait hehe, have a great day!! Xoxo
Response: So glad that it made it and you like it! I hope that the first one arrives and you have two!
Comment: Karen, you made my day with this card (love that you used a CO stamp, too!). My Dad was from Colo. Springs and I have to say I'd never seen this card (and I have a LOT of old CO pc's). I think the Broadmoor has a historian (it's the best hotel in the state) and I'd like to know when the road closed (probably to build NORAD inside Cheyenne Mtn.). My Dad actually got held by MP's because he accidentally crossed onto govt. land while hiking-they thought he was a spy! Thanks again for picking the perfect card for me!
Response: Glad you like it! I have quite a stash of old Colorado cards and I love it when I see that one of them will be perfect for someone. Postcards, in my opinion anyway, need to have their destiny fulfilled with a stamp, a message and a trip to a mailbox! Have a great day!
Comment: Thank you for the cute Jetoy card! :) I started laughing when I saw the envelope: it said ''Wrong address!" then it was probably returned to either you or the Post Office, and they had circled Finland haha. Have a great week! :)
Comment: Hi Karen! We just cannot seem to be partners enough these days! LOL! Thank you for the sweet Easter pc how fun that even though you will be working you will do lots of fun Easter stuff! Yippee! Wishing you and yours a Happy Easter! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;) p.s. I have to get some of those Paul Newman stamps - he looks awesome - swooning here! LOL!
Comment: I have loved Dali since I can remember. My mom had a huge table book of his and she would let me sit in her lap and she would turn the pages. I am obsessed for sure! I will be keeping this one forever. =)
Comment: Thank you for the gorgeous geometric Tchaikovsky Penguin score card (I actually sent my own to a fellow music-lover, so I am thrilled to receive it :), sticker, Henry Mancini stamp, and message! I also like that your address label features Audubon and a heron :)
Comment: Thank you for the cool Warhol portrait/photo card, sticker, and message! The temperatures have been in the 70s this past week -- I am enjoying the cool evenings while they last :) Happy gardening!
Comment: I, too, love the Flatiron Building. They had a similar style one in San Antonio (much smaller of course) and it always fascinated me. Thanks for the great PC and hope to see you in more swaps ~
Comment: Oh Karen ~ what a wonderful, wonderful array of paper items and postcards! Thank you so very much, I love everything a lot! I can believe it when you said you couldn't give up the calendar. I keep all mine because I write things down on the days ~ so it's like a little journal! Thank you again!
Response: So glad that you enjoyed it! You are quite welcome and I appreciate the nice comment and heart!
Comment: Thank you for the lovely PC, it looks like a photo. Also reminds me of Gone With the Wind. You're Chrissie decorations there are very tropical looking. We get quite a dry hot heat (40C/105F). So most plant life is brown lol. Especially with the water restrictions we are on.
All the best for 2016! 😀
Comment: Thank you for the nice postcard Karen! I got it right before the New Years (which is what we celebrate here). We have LOADS of snow, such a great white holiday scene! Hope you had amazing holidays!
Comment: Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for the cute sparkly snowman card and the handmade snowman bookmark tag. That was so thoughtful of you to make it for me. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year
Comment: Thank you for joining this swap. The postcard is so cute. Thanks for adding Christmas stickers and washing tape on it. I like the stamp too. How did your tree turn out? We put ours up the.day after Thanksgiving. 🎅Merry Christmas🎄
Comment: Thanks for the nice Puffin book postcard. I'm beginning to get more and more of them, and I didn't know anything of them until I started doing these swaps. Can you tell me how you get the Puffin Cards?
Have a Merry Christmas!
Response: I got my box on Amazon. It's a pretty cool collection! Thanks for the heart and Merry Christmas to you as well.
Comment: Thanks for the pretty snowy postcard. I like snow a little bit at a time. It can be very sparkly and magical. It can also be icy, heavy, gloomy, and miserable. LOL Hope you get to experience it sometime (the pretty snow, that is).
Comment: Hi Karen! Love the sweet Santa pc! It's beginning to look like Christmas here - LOL! I have plenty more to do, but thankfully will be on vacation the week before, so that will help! Wishing you and yours and Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Karen, thank you so much for the wonderful handmade envelopes with postcards. They are just great and I can reuse them. What a lot of work went into them. The few envelopes that I opened were a delight as two of them were of lighthouses. If I could give you more than one heart I surely would. Merry Christmas, Shirley
Response: You're welcome Shirley! It was a pleasure making them for you and I certainly do hope that you can reuse them. Merry Christmas to you too!
Comment: Thank you very much for the great postcard. Really nice. My parents used to winter in Florida so it's most likely like Clemson University's school year or home football games. Happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: Great PC and awesome road trip. We are doing a road trip to visit my SIL next year in NJ and from there are meeting my mom to take a state-side cruise along the northeast states in October. It will be my first cruise, my Mom surprised us and signed us up when she was on her last cruise :-) Take care, Annette
Comment: I LOVE the frog with the umbrella and the top hat. Plus - BINGO CARD? W00T!! I have a question, tho...what is behind the frog that looks like a tail? It also kinda looks like he might be sitting on a fish. It definitely part of the stamp, and I'm very curious! :)
Comment: Hello Karen, thank you for the beautiful sunrise view postcard. I will look up on internet Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. Hope I can visit this park some time in the future. Yes, we got a cool down here in Clermont & it was lovely. Wonderful that the cool down lasted the weekend. Happy October!
Comment: Hi Karen! Thank you so much for the very cute Beatrix-Potter-Postcard! Also thanks for the beautiful stamps you picked me and the sweet sticker. Warm greetings from Breda:) All the best. Groetjes Barbara
Comment: Lovely poppies - yay! Thanks Karen. Re your note about there being no writing on the back, if it is a card you really like and want to re-use, you can always glue another back onto it. I do that all the time. (";)
Comment: Wow, lots of stuff in this reading journal! I've started it but I think it will take me a while to get through it with all of the extras you provided. Thank you so much, it looks like you had a lot of fun doing this!!!
Comment: Karen, thanks for the journal. Girl, that was a lot of writing - WOW! Guess i am so dumbfounded because arthritic hands won't allow me to write so long at a time. I loved making thie journal but I will admit that I had to do some typing. Thanks again.
