Comment: Hi Julia! How fun to have you as a partner for this swap! Sounds like you had a good time working at the rummage sale! Happy Belated Anniversary - wishing you many more years of love and fun together! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: Lovely notecard. Did you make it? Im sorry to hear if your friends passing. Seems like you could meet up with people there so a positive out of it. I enjoy Mexican food too. We have a portion of Detroit called Mexicantown. Authentic food there. Any weekend to get to go out to eat is a good one. Thanks for writing. I enjoyed reading it. Have a blessed day.
Comment: Thank you for your lovely card. I love avos. I've grown a couple of trees from the pip and I can't wait to finally get some fruit from them. I wish we could get tacos here. I hear so much about them.
Comment: Thank you very much! Oh where to being - Scooby Stamps? didn't know they made those, neat multi card of Calif, notes stickers and cute fawn note card, love it all!! We had a couple of the same goals.
Comment: Julia, I received your swap in the mail and loved the beautiful notecard you selected! Some of the things on your bucket list sound like things I SHOULD have on mine: finish projects that I've started. I'll see about adding that under my 'get organized and declutter' campaign. That will get two things done under one heading, hopefully! I hope you're successful with all the things on your list! Happy swapping in 2019!
Comment: I’ve never read Memoirs of a Geisha but I have had it recommended to me by my daughter. And Rob Lowe’s book has also come up a few times recently so I guess I should add both books to my reading list😊
Comment: Thank you for this perfect postcard. I love it and it's postage stamps. There is one short string of light left above the fireplace. My husband plugs them in each night. He says they relax him. So there they shall remain until he says otherwise. :D
Comment: I loved your card so much! it was beautiful! I too, like the spirit of Christmas! I love the joy that just fills everyone at this time of year! I hope you and your grandkids have a blast at Disney. it is one of my very favorite places to be at the winter time! Have a VERY Merry Christmas, and thank you for my stickers!
Comment: I can’t tell you how much I love the post card! My English Professor in college-well I took classes there before transferring to Auburn- owned a Frank Lloyd Wright home his parents commission for him as a wedding gift. It was donated to the city of Florence after his wife’s death and is a museum now. However he invited me to see it years ago when I was a student. My daughter is an architect and did a thesis on his earlier homes. Also I have been to Disneyland twice! My parents from rural Alabama honeymoon there in the mid ‘50’s...We have been to Disney World at least 5 times but Disneyland is the original-lucky you!!! Thank you so much!
Comment: Hi Julia, with your busy schedule I hope you made it to the polls. I worked this election as a coordinator. I had to keep 12 precincts assigned to me. I was busy from 4:30AM to 11:30PM when I was able t9 finally turn in my supplies. Whew!
Comment: Hi Julia! Always fun to have you as a partner and thank you for the lovely pc! No worries on when you write - I know we all get busy but are thinking of one another! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: What an excellent journal prompt! Super relevant and super important. And I did vote. I value that so greatly. I go back and forth between whether my vote matters, but I know that collectively, we must all vote, and that's what matters. Also I really love the Route 66 postcard! It's a trip I'd love to take! Have you ever, all or part?
Comment: Thank you for the great New York postcard! Tugged on my heart when I saw it because I lived there. Not the city but WNY. I do have family in NYC though. I hope you will be able to visit there again! Thank you again!
Comment: Thanks for the postcard, a blast from the past as I lived there right up the road from the beach for a short spell! It was a weird situation and I had the worst migraines ever there...so in spite of the romance of it all I was glad to head back east! At the time Colorado was as east as I went. Been in Vermont now 19 years! What fun to be reminded of good old Laguna Beach! So it's all built up and citified..?
Comment: I do in fact love the stamp! And the postcard. What an interesting plant, or whatever it's called. So do the fireworks ever drive you nuts, or are you just used to them now? Sounds beautiful being able to watch them whenever. Also intriguing - professional Girl Scout. Anyway, thanks so much!
Comment: Dear Julia,
Thank you for your postcard with your lovely, happy message. I hope you husband had a good trip.
P.S I love the scratch and sniff stamp; I have never seen anything like that before.
Comment: Thank you so much for the recipes, Julia. Your envelope made me smile. 1) I grew up in Anaheim and noticed your return address and 2) your handwriting looks exactly like my grandma's who passed away many years ago. Happy memories on both counts!
Comment: Love the coaster. Did you make it??? Can't wait to try the tea. I haven't read any of the books that were on your shelf...so I'm going to add them to my list of books to read. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day every day. bearnbabs
Comment: Merci beaucoup for the postcard! I really like the stamps you used. The Art of Magic one is just too cute. It must be pretty interesting living that close Disneyland! Whenever I go to a place like that I always look around at the houses/apartments nearby and wonder what it's like to live so close. Thanx again!
Comment: Love the stamps on your card!Thank you for the really nice multi of souther California. I am jealous of your firework viewing!!!! I went to Disneyland in the 70s. I recall meeting Goofy! Have a nice day.
Comment: Love your PC. Writng letters to brighten ones days is a gift from the heart. I know theses letters bring sunshine into the lives you send too. It's truly a blessing for you both. Have a great day every day. bearnbabs
Comment: Good afternoon, Julia! Thank you so much for the beautiful mail and in-depth description of your weekend. It sounded so fun and pleasant to hear about your barbecue and letter-writing, and I hope you had fun at the Padres game! I'm not a Padres fan, but the stadium is so beautiful that I really love going to their games when they play a team I love. I used to live in Los Angeles, and I'm an Angels fan ... went to school in Fullerton. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and many great tidings to you during the dog days of summer. Keep cool! :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. I must say I wasn't specific about what team I was rooting for. We live in Anaheim and my husband has season Angel tickets. This was an Angels vs. Padres game and yeah, the Angels won. It is a gorgeous stadium. Hope your weekends are wonderful and we meet again in a swap.
Comment: Hi Julia! Always wonderful to have you as a partner and I love, love, love the ocean pc and the nc - the sayings are wonderful! I am going to frame the pc for my desk as work, as I do NEED to remember this when work/life gets crazy! That was so sweet of all of you to pitch at Cheryl and Alan's house - that really stinks about the flooring taking so long to come in though - yikes!! Happy Belated Birthday to Cheryl - I am sure she enjoyed the cinnamon rolls - yummy! Thanks again for the lovely visit! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: That is such a special thing to be able to see the fireworks from your yard!! I would love to live close enough for that! Thank you for the adorable Winnie The Pooh postcard! It's so cute!! xx Gabi
Comment: I received your notecard today! It's very lovely and thank you for telling me a bit about you :) I would love to be pen pals and will try to write back soon! Also, thanks for the tea, I can't wait to try it !!
Response: I’ll look forward to hearing from you and enjoy being pen pals.
Comment: Your recipes you sent me sound yummy except for the one with the peas. I actually hate them but you didn't know that. I enjoyed reading about what Memorial Day means to you. Thanks for joining my swap!
Comment: Julia, thank you for the beautiful postcard of Redondo Beach. I am happy that your test came out good. I am like you, if I see a place that sells postcards, in I walk and buy some. Never have to many different ones. Shirley
Comment: Hello Julia, thanks for sharing your answers with me. Sounds like you will have special memories spent with your grandchildren. Yes wouldnt it be lovely to have a self cleaning house, sounds great. Like you I am short in height as well. Happy swapping. Loved your envelope too.
Comment: Thanks so much - I love those polaroid notecards!! Your daughter's work does sound like mine though I'm currently doing more evaluations of activities that were already implemented, rather than real-time needs. More travel coming up this year... I like the sound of your volunteer work. Just today I heard on the radio about a bike ride fundraiser for one of our local food banks and am thinking of joining in.
Comment: Thank you so much for the envie of goodies. I loved all of it, especially the stamps, postcards, stickers, coasters, notecards, bookmarks, envelopes, and recipe for spanish rice! Hahaha! That's everything. Definitely made my day! Thanks for joining the swap : )

Comment: Hi Julia! How fun to have you as a partner and thank you for not only sharing about your week, but including the awesome Route 66 pc (love them) & recipe! Sounds yummy! So glad you enjoyed the Million Dollar Spaghetti recipe and yes, Bob works way too much!! Sounds like a great week though and I hope to get a letter in the mail soon - time is going too quickly on me! LOL! Hugs Dear Friend and Happy Swapping! ;)

Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful note card and stamps. I really enjoyed reading it and couldn’t help but laugh out loud about the grocery trip as I did the same thing, about 50 things jumped into my shopping cart that weren’t on my list, I don’t know where they came from.
Comment: Not going to read all of them, drew out my first one and liked the wish. A year of relaxation. We shall see. Glad you joined the swap, I'm looking forward to each month and seeing what you wrote. Thanks!⛄
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful note card. I also have a granddaughter who is nine and I love spending time with her, sadly she live seven hours away so I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like to with her. Glad you're done your Christmas 2016, good thing because 2017 is coming right up 😂😂. And what a pretty stamp. You put a smile on my face tonight, thank you.
Comment: Hi Julia! Thank you for the tea and sweet deer note card! I just got back from a few craft bizaars too. Everything is pretty to look at but mostly out of my budget as well. I did find a watercolours print and old foreign stamps for price of $4. This older lady always prices way too low. I first learned about the tea you sent at my chiropractor a few months ago. My first sip made me happy, so thank you for sending the sweet & spicy tea :)
Comment: Thank you so much for your card. I chuckled at the tea. It is a favorite of both mine and my husbands. when I send tea it tends to be this one. lol. Thank you for sharing your weekend with me.
Comment: How funny, I've been thinking about you and missing your letters! :) Sorry your weekend wasn't that great: not getting to see your granddaughter and Condolences for the loss of your pastor. (hugs)
Comment: Thank you so much for your note! I'm going to do the closet cleaning thing tonight/tomorrow. We have so many people in need around Houston because of this hurricane/tropical storm. Not a lot of ways I can help with all my arthritis but we have lots of clothes we can donate.
Comment: Hi Julia! Always great to have you as a partner! I am very jealous about your wonderful tomatoes - have a few for me! LOL! Thank you for the friendly notecard and the awesome pc! You are so sweet! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)

Comment: Julia - I'm very sorry I didn't rate this sooner - I've had it about 6 days now and I thought I had rated the day I received but can see I didn't! Anyway thank you for sharing your weekend with me and for the great cards - I adore California :)

Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely postcard I'm sooo jealous you live so close to Disney I hope one day I can go it sure looks like a magical place !! I love Disney everything I'm still such a big baby hahaha â¤â¤â¤â¤
Comment: Thank you for this postcard of Anaheim, CA, with a view of the fireworks at the Disneyland castle, Julia! When I was growing up, we lived about 26 miles away and went to Disneyland twice a year! :-) That's neat that you live close enough to see the nightly fireworks from your yard. And I hope you enjoyed your recent visit to Tucson! :-) Thank you for sharing!
Comment: Thank you for taking me through your weekend! Hah, everything about it screamed Southern California. Bob watching the Angels game (Dodgers fan myself), Disneyland, and the roses, oh the roses! My mom had a rose garden in front of our house in SoCal, and I haven't seen any since leaving the state. Oh I miss it!
Comment: Got your letter today and really enjoyed reading it 😊 Thank you for the postcard and notecard goodies.
I will write back but it may be a few days or so .. I have sewing orders I need to get out by early next week but I will write - I promise 😊
Comment: Hi Julia! Love the notecard with the elephant and the wonderful friendship coaster! You are so sweet! You have me giggling about living close to the Mouse and that is the only reason you see Sheryl & Alan so much! Sounds like a fun weekend! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Comment: I always love hearing from someone who lives in Southern California! I was just in Anaheim in November to meet some family for dinner at Fire + Ice. I used to go there a lot with my sister and her boyfriend some years ago, and I'm happy it's still there!
Comment: Thanks for the Glacier National Park card with the bear on it. We had a Black bear right outside out rental cabin in the Smoky Mountains in October 2011. Watching him was so fascinating---to see him that close up without having to be afraid was nice. I LOVE animals and have since I was a little girl. I especially like the big cats! A childhood and adult wish I have is the chance to touch a big cat. Even tho that's on my bucket list, since I'm nearly 68, I'm kinda' thinking that wish may not happen! Happy Swapping!
Comment: What a small world! I love receiving cards from Southern California. I grew up in Indio! My sister lived in Santa Ana for the longest time, so I always hung around your area growing up. I'm visiting LA/OC next month so I'm excited. Thanks for the card!
Comment: Thank you for the great Disneyland postcard. I'm about 3 hours from Walt Disney World and will be renewing my pass within a month. I'm originally from California and grew up going to Disneyland almost every weekend.

Thank you for the Cinnamon Scroll recipe too, I will try it next time I make scolls, I like the idea of walnuts and cranberries. I'm allergic to walnuts but I will substitute Pecans. Thank you again, Natalie

Comment: Hi Julia! Received your postcard of Pomona and enjoyed reading a little bit about the town. Is there snow in the mountains all year round? I also worked in a library for a short time. Great place! Happy Swapping! Valerie
Response: Glad you liked the post card. Thank you for the heart. The mountains only have snow two or maybe three months in the winter but it sure is pretty when there is snow.
Comment: Thank you for the creatively packaged list of books. The library cards are a terrific idea :) I haven't read a Jonathan Kellerman book in quite sometime. Alex Delaware is one of my favorite characters. Thank you also for the book mark 💜
Comment: Thank you for the neat notecards, Julia! I can't wait to use them! :-) And how neat that you have a trip to Tucson planned. No, I have never (yet?) been to the DeGrazia Gallery. Just six miles west is Tohono Chul Park. It's always worth a visit and, if you like to walk, they have several trails to choose from. There's also the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum way in the west of Tucson that is worth visiting, especially if you like seeing native-to-the-area-you're-in wildlife. :-) Thanks again for sharing these notecards with me! Have a safe trip out here in November! :-)
Comment: Another wonderful envelope and animal notecard: Thank You! (I never get to send to you, doesn't seem fair.) I love reading about the "quiet" weekends... that's when the important things show up. Thank you for sharing. :)

Comment: Julia, thank you for the postcard. Most people would like to see the time does not change. The time changes were made for farmers so they would have more light in the mornings to milk the cows. Now a days there is electricity so there is no need to spring ahead the clocks. Shirley
Comment: Thank you for the lovely card! Yes, I know that house stress as well! We just finished half our basement and added a new room. My dad-in-law is a retired builder and taught my hubby & I how to do it, with his help. May your garden and grandchildren flourish and your mailbox overflow!

Love that you sent me a very special Hot Chocolate - getting cold here so perfect timing. I might drink it now or perhaps while I am waiting for your Christmas Cookies to bake.
If I love it, I cannot imagine that I won't, I will need to find this hot chocolate. Where did you get it?
How do you do all that you do - 21 family members, I cannot even touch that. Let me figure that 26 x 21 = 541 gifts - OMG what do you give? You must be up 24/7 until Thanksgiving. Impressive.
Happy Holiday's early. Kathleen

Comment: Thank you for the pc of the Schnauzer dog. I also liked hearing you were a fan of Sue Monk Kidd, too! I've been reading Hilary Mantell's Wolf Hall (again!) as the PBS-BBC series just finished and I was inspired to read it once more. One book I would recommend is Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch. And good for you & ebooks! It took me awhile to learn to download but I do
love reading on my Ipad.

Comment: Thank for the card. The mountains look so beautiful! Are those the San Jacinto mountains? I wish we had big mountains in Finland, but even the biggest ones are quite small compared to them :D I wish I could go shopping to a Micheal's also :p The craft supplies are so expensive here and I've heard that Michael's is a crafter's paradise :D
Comment: Thank you for the card from Yosemite with all of the waterfalls and sharing your resolution with me. I have the same resolution but not with the same amount of pounds but close. I hope that you reach your goal. I will be thinking about you and cheering you on.

Response: Thank you for the heart. I wish you lived close, the other day we picked 100 avocados and lots more are on the tree.
Comment: Thanks so much for resending. I've been to Disney World a bunch, but I don't think I'd go back again (less and less interest in lines, and the magic has faded for me), UNLESS...I could do a backstage tour. Oooo, I'd LOVE to see that!
Response: Thanks much for the heart. Many years ago I took a back stage tour of Disneyland and still remember what fun it was.
Comment: Thank you for the Anaheim card! It makes me a little bit homesick as I lived in Orange County for 12 years when I was younger. My husband and I bought our first house in Anaheim Hills and lived there for several years before his job took us to Colorado. :-)
Comment: Julia, This is a little late, better than never. I have to tell you that I loved all three of the recipes, but the one my family will love best (and I am going to make for Christmas) are the macaroons. I don't think I have ever made a recipe with whole eggs. Can't wait to try it. These all look so good and anything peanut butter is a win here, but those macaroons are top on the list. Thank you!!!
Response: Thank you for the rating, I hope you enjoy the cookies.
Comment: LOL!!! Thank you for the Frog Fly Swatter - this is one of this silliest items mailed to me and it totally made me laugh! I'm sure I'll put it to good use! Have a wonderful day and thanks for the smile!

Comment: Julia, that was so funny. I thought the neighbor kids were playing with the fly swatter in the front yard and then I saw the mailing label. We are having a BBQ on Monday so it will come in handy. No pun intended. Thank you.
Response: Thank you for the heart. I'm glad you got a good laugh, the reason for sending something a bit different.
Comment: Thank you for a nice postcard of the train station at Redlands, CA. I guess it is not used as such these days ... a shopping mall ?? I like trains/trams and it is a bit sad to see abandoned train stations and rail-way lines.
Response: Thank you for the heart. I'm not certain just what the train station is used for these days, I need to check with my nephew, he lives in Redlands.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful postcard! It looks like an amazing place, I am fascinated by plantations and vegetation. Hope it was an amazing time. Best Wishes! Thanks also for the apple postcard stamp, I receive a lot of the Hummingbirds so was nice to see the older edition for a change :)

Comment: Thank you so much! It is the first time I get a postcard from Hollywood. I like it! And I am wondering how it is to see the fireworks everyday, doesn't it get annoying after a while? Oh well, thank you again! Have a nice day :)
Response: Thank you for the rating. The fireworks don't get annoying however it does get to the place I hardly notice them.
Comment: Thank you! that place at the end of the pier reminds me very much of a restaurant at the end of the st kilda beach (melbourne australia) where we used to lunch when i lived there for a year... your postcard brought back mamories of that and made me smile. thank you :) <3
Response: Thank you for the heart. Glad the post card made you smile.
Comment: Wow seven stamps on the envie!!!!!!!
I love the saying on the card and the colors. I so enjoyed your note and it made me smile. Such a great Happy Mail Day. I am having a cup of the tea as I type this. First sip was magic to my taste buds, I am in the fan club of this tea. It is now one of my top 3 teas ever. There should be a holiday for this tea. Thanks for introducing me to Good Earth brand, the Sweet and Spicy flavor and red Rooibos tea leaves. and thank you thank you for sending two more bags for tomorrow and the next day. I'll be ordering more of this tea. Lucky me to have been assigned to you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Response: Thank you so much for the very kind words and the heart. I am so glad you like the tea. I sure enjoy it.
Comment: Thank you for the recipes. They sound so delicious - I don't know which to try first. The enchiladas sound very similar to a dish I had at a restaurant recently and loved. I also appreciate the slow cooker recipe. Thanks for a fun swap!
Response: Thank you for the heart. I hope you enjoy the recipes. For the enchiladas I sometimes substitute a different kind of beans or a different squash, depends on what is in the house but this is my husband's preference.
Comment: Thank you so much for the nice letter and goodies. I like your card and envelope. Declutter has been on my to do list for a couple of years now. I get a little done each month and then yard sale season rolls around and well here we go again. Good luck with your decluttering.
Response: Thank you for the heart. I'm glad you like what I sent.
Comment: Hey Julia! Thanks so much for the palm trees & the lovely old train station, it's a gorgeous building. Everybody's mad at Canada Post these days Julia, we've just had our big postage increase!

Comment: I loved reading your letter! You sound like you have a lot of energy! ( In the kitchen anyway!) I know what you mean about the bacon fad, my daughter gets a bacon chocolate cupcake at her favorite bakery! She loves bacon! I will definitely make the crostata recipe for her! Thank you!
Response: Thank you for the heart. I hope you enjoy the recipe, we sure do.
Comment: Thanks for the great postcard. I love it - I didn't have it. Of course, I did not go on a cruise to Disney World. I flew there. It was a lot of fun. Spent time with my son. Have a great day, Linda

Comment: Thank you for your wonderful package and letter, I enjoyed it very much! It was very interesting to learn more about the US, and getting to know Anaheim (that is so similar to Petah Tikva!). It's so amazing that you can watch Disneyland's nightly fireworks from your yard! The Indian bookmarks were so interesting to read and the photos on them are beautiful! Now I'm curious to try those Thin mints ;) Can't wait to bake those peanut butter cookies! <3 And the tea was wonderful!! I had it like you suggested while reading through your letter :)
Response: Thank you so very much for the heart. I'm so glad you enjoyed the package and letter.

Comment: Thank you! Hope you and your family have a joyous and magical Christmas! Happy Thanksgiving! I'm planning to clothespin all my Christmas cards on the banister to display them once Thanksgiving passes us by. Merry Christmas!
Comment: Thanks for the wonderful note in the prairie dog postalette. I am amazed by your Christmas Gift Tradition; why 24? Sorry for this being late, had rated and my computer hiccupped and apparently it didn't save. Thanks again and hope you enjoy the upcoming holidays.
Response: Thank you for the heart. The 24 is one gift for each day of Advent so the number varies each year.
Comment: Thank you for your postcard. That's cool that you can see fireworks often. We only get (to see) them twice a year in NZ and where I live is a national park so I don't get to see them at all. So jealous hehe^^
Response: Thank you for the rating, I am jealous, would love to live in a national park.
Comment: Thank you for the recipe cards and the lovely notecards - I will definitely be using these items! Your trip to the fair sounds like fun. I've never had deep fried cookie dough - will have to look for that next time I'm at a festival. :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. I'm glad you like what I sent.
Comment: I find it very funny, this is the second time you be my partner. The first time was for "Serial Pc Swappers week # 130". And you sent me the same postcard! But I love her anyway!
Response: Oops, so sorry I don't keep track of what I send but sure don't want to send a duplicate. If you will remind me of what I sent I will be happy to do a resend.
Comment: Congratulations on turning 70 and God bless you for being healthy and enjoying it. I too am 70 but am in constant pain so I have my limitations. We moved to warmer weather which has helped, I still am active. Love the pier at Huntington Beach. There are so few of them left on the east coast because of the hurricanes and winter storms. Shirley
Response: Thank you for the heart. I have a bit of arthritis and pain but luckily no other problems. Happy day to you, Julia
Comment: Thank you so much for the lovely note, I'm glad to hear you had a nice time at the fair. Memories like that are worth it! Thank you too for the cool cards. The map showing the burned section of Chicago from the Great Fire of 1871 is awesome! I will definitely treasure it always. I enjoyed the others too as it's always nice to have something besides Michigan to swap with. Thanks for another awesome swap, Julia!
Response: Thank you for the heart. I'm glad you like the map cards.
Comment: Thanks for the great PC! This is the first time I have ever seen this card. I have not been to Disney Land or World, but my son, has. It looks huge. It must be fun to see fireworks every night! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Response: Thank you for the heart. I'm glad you like the card.
Comment: Thanks for the postcard. Your husband must be a big baseball fan to have season tickets. My husband and I go to 1 or 2 pro baseball games a year (no team in town so have to drive at least 2.5 hours to see one).
Response: Thank you for the rating. Yes, my husband is a big baseball fan. I don't think he could live anyplace that didn't allow him to walk to the stadium.
